Overall this might be the best seafood restaurant compared to restaurants like Juicy Crab & others like it. Now as far as the menu it has a lot of the same items but they also have different items unlike the others like shrimp, chicken & fish tacos & they also have Alfredo’s which include Cajun Salmon, Cajun Shrimp, Cajun Chicken, Fried Lobster Ravioli plus more. The food is delicious the drinks are good, the staff is friendly & it’s a comfortable laid back environment inside. There’s a nice bar with a big tv to watch & an outdoor area to sit & eat especially with the weather getting warmer.

I have a 4 because no fault of their own. They were short staffed today(as a lot of restaurants are these days) and only had 2 servers. We were greeted by the manager and she was very pleasant and accommodating. Our server, can’t remember his name was also very pleasant(even having to handle 2 large parties along with other tables including ours. He didn’t one time act stressed or snappy under pressure and that means a lot. He did the best he could and honestly I can’t complain under those circumstances. I ordered a basket with shrimp and tilapia and unfortunately it came out really dark and smelled of burned or old grease. The server didn’t get upset at all and took it back and gave me the option of ordering something else. I ordered a drink called a blue something but it was not good. It wasn’t balanced with the flavors as I have been here before and had the same drink and it was tasty. So I’m not sure if the other server had to also be the bartender but the drink was not good at all. My two daughters orders the bagged seafood and I as well changed my order and I received it fairly quickly. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience and I will be back. I made sure to let the manager know about how cool, calm and collected our server was even being stretched so thin☺️If the service was this good on a challenging day, it will be even better fully staffed. Keep up the good work but please change out the oil☺️

A lot of these type seafood restaurants have been popping up all around the city. Some are really good and some are just alright. Well, I'm glad that this is the one we got in downtown Decatur. Everything was nice. The hostess was really nice. My server, his name escapes me, was very attentive. The food was good, correct, and it came out pretty fast. I've been here a few times and I'll be coming back again.

Greeted at the door; great server and bartender; food was good. I prefer fresh Calimari but the flavor was good; the Fries were amazing and the Seafood Boil was good and seasoned well. Love the atmosphere and the humongous big screen TV behind the bar. My first visit but will return to try other menu items. $4 Margarita was 👍... The Cosmo needed another shot..

Customer service superb! Everyome had a dope energy. The music was good, the atmosphere seemed like on a jumping night would be lit. I ordered crab boil bag with snow crabs and additional add ons mussels, clams, and shrimp garlic butter with seasoning hot 🔥 and when I say tasty it was so delicious. I also ordered the fried calamari disappointingly overcooked but it wasn't I know would be a really good dish. Drinks were good but I would not order the lemon drop with apple henny, wow! Would I go back but of course and I will bring more friends for some good seafood and great service!

We had a great experience at this location!! Our server Tonya was so accommodating! She was helpful and also gave us the space we needed! (You know how server can be overbearing) she was fantastic!!!!! Henry took care of us as well! The food was amazing!! I am not a seafood eater and I thoroughly enjoyed myself! The drink are worth every dollar! (Shout out to the bartenders) highly recommended!

Nothing I can complain about here. Food was pretty good for the money. Service was good albeit we were 2 of maybe 4 people in the place for lunch. I might need to come back for a happy hour. Drinks look enticing and specials seem good. I'll be back to try them again

Seafood was cooked perfect and seasoned well. We did the 3 for 5 dollar special on Tuesday. You get 3 1/2 pound items for 5 dollars each. I did shrimp with head off, black mussels, and crawfish. The service was great. There was one waiter but everyone was assisting him. I loved to see everyone working together.

Had the best experience in the world. The Manager Britney was the most professional person I have seen and heard in along time. My order was messed up. And I asked to see the Manager. She came and took care of the problem with a Beautiful smile and made sure I got what I ordered. And told me she paid for it because I had to wait on my food. Please promote her soon as possible. She needs to be the face of the franchise.

Excellent dinning experience, food was absolutely delicious, and very tasty cocktails. But what really made this dinner special was our server, EARL. He was just absolutely amazing and explained the menu very well to our group. Highly recommend asking for him if you decide to eat here!

We went to Wild Crab on a Tuesday and was surprised that the patio area was filled. So they do have a nice size patio if you want to sit out and enjoy the weather. The food was good . The menu is limited so keep that it mind but the food was good. We had a seafood bag with a lobster tail it came with corn and potatoes also got broccoli added. We also tried the cheese sticks and a fried shrimp basket.With the seafood bag we tried a medium sauce should have tried hot cause it didn't have any kick to it but the seasoningwas good.. The lobster tail was good cooked so it wasn'tdried out. Loved the French fries and I usually don't eat those. Overall the experience was good and our waiter G did a good job of explaining the menu.

The waitress was polite. The ambiance was a nice vibe and the food was delicious. The Dungeness crabs were fresh, cooked properly and the legs cracked as expected. No issues subbing corn for the potato and the garlic butter and lemon pepper mild mix was Awesome!!!!!

Food was great, atmosphere was perfect. Music was perfect not to loud tv was huge. My first time visiting a place I walked in host was sitting looking like she was ready to go lol. I was seated, my waitor came over didn't say his name I informed it was my first time he said okay lol I was looking for him to point out a few things on the menu to try, I asked about drink specials I didn't have a drink menu and he didn't really give any info like he was bothered. My food was taking longer than expected but my waitor never came over to see if I wanted another drink or even tell me my food will be ready momentarily. I don't know but the food was good I am normally I great tipper but I just felt like I should have took my food to go or maybe I should have sat at the bar maybe she would have been more of the personality I was looking for. Maybe one day I will revisit and be able to give a better rating.

Just had a fantastic meal at Wild Crab for the first time. It is gorgeously decorated, very modern and sleek with led lighting under the bar. I ordered the king crab boil, fire hot. It was spicy but did not overwhelm the flavor of the king crab. My wife had the catfish fried basket and hush puppies. Best hush puppies she has ever had, and she knows. The place is so new they haven't got their liquor license, but other than that it was a great meal. We'll be back, and I recommend.

New place and still working things out. Food was good bit salty. The crab cakes (surprisingly gluten-free) was the best dish we had there. We also had the snow crab legs (1 lb) but I feel like it was not enough for 2. Staff was really friendly but the restaurant was so new and it felt like they were still being trained.

1lb of shrimp. It was great. Do not order the tilapia. They say its 4 pieces, no its 1 piece cut into 4. Other than that the shrimp bag broil is seasoned well, the corn is good and the service is fast. The hours are limited right now. Glad I found this place. Parking is easy too

Food was ok, but not exactly what we were expecting. Popcorn shrimp was very heavy battered and we ended up peeling off the batter to eat. The 1/2 lb shrimp was very generous in shrimp, but had a single potato and one 2-3” long section of corn. The meal came in a sealed bag that one pours onto a dish. I ordered the house sauce to the “hot” level that was not hot at all. The boil sauce was an orange color, flavorful, with a oily feel. Service was friendly and layback. Dining inside or on the patio is available. Ample parking is available

Great service ok food. The concept is really nice and I really liked the gluten free crab cake but the crab legs was expensive for the lb and the seasoning tasted like wing sauce. I would give it a second try though.

I went here the other day for the first time, love the concept of these crab boil spots. This one is kind of like a sports bar…HUGE, wall-to-wall TV at the bar, seems like a great place to catch the games, etc. I didn’t realize they closed for a period of time in the afternoon, so when I got there I had to wait about 45 minutes for them to re-open. when I came back, a gentleman who works there put me on to the happy hour special. You can pick three items for $15 and then add whatever else you want in there at the half pound or pound price. The food was really good! Has a different flavor than Juicy Crab… I think it is the cilantro lime they add. Drinks were OK…think I should’ve ordered top shelf. Good service, I will definitely go back soon!

I enjoyed my experience at Wild Crab today on Ponce de Leon in Decatur. ( Where Mellow Mushroom used to be.) If you haven't been to this seafood restaurant/ bar, you don't know what you're missing. As soon as my guests and I entered this establishment, we were warmly greeted with pleasant attitudes and smiles by the hosts, manager, & wait staff. I ordered Fried Calamai as an appetizer, and the Snow crab /Shrimp with the heads off combo. I had a Peach & Mango mixed frozen daiquiri. Everything was DELICIOUS. The atmosphere was pleasant and comfortable. And yes I will be coming back. My birthday is in August and I want to celebrate it here. It is August 1st. And I came back to celebrate my birthday with friends and family. ( see photos). Before you come always check the time. They do a shift change from 3 pm- 4 pm. The kitchen is closed and so is the bar. After 4 pm is back to business. I had so much fun. Let me introduce you to our fantastic waitress Ms. Lovely. She did an incredible job waiting on us and making our Wild Crab experience a fun one. Thanks Lovely!🍹🍷🍤🎂

Came here unexpectedly as we were planning to visit the restaurant next door 😂 but we wanted to catch the game and the place is new so why not check it out! Came on a Saturday night around 8:45 and it was steady. We opted to sit at the bar to have good view of the football game and to start with drinks. The bartender was on his own but he was definitely holding it down so kudos to him!! Drinks was very reasonable yet delicious! I opted for a tequila mule and my friend just had a Jameson on the rocks. Food menu was plentiful and very well priced as well. I opted for the seafood bag with half pound of shrimp (head off) and just corn season with their house born called Wildhouse Crab (a mix of all the seasonings) and medium also added a side of Cajun fries. DELICIOUS!!! I was very satisfied and my friend was too. So happy it’s a spot like this in downtown Decatur so I’ll definitely be back!

Drinks were terrible, watered down , they had a no refund , no exchange policy on the drinks. The Seafood dip was basic, wouldn’t order again. The shrimp Po Boy and fries was really good ! Server was really really nice, tipped him well ! I probably wouldn’t come back.

Demond was a great server even while training Louis. They both provided A+ customer service making sure we had everything we needed. We ordered the treasure chest which was more than enough food for two people, we also ordered a Creeper and Shark Attack drinks which were extremely full of flavor. We will def return for another visit.

Sat out on the patio and had a great time. The food was very good too! Crab cakes were fresh and light - perfect appetizer. Had both shrimp in the house flavor and sausage in the cilantro lime. The house flavor was perfect for the shrimp. And, the shrimp were fresh and not tough or chewy. The cilantro lime flavor was good too. But, it was pretty salty. It worked great soling you didn’t load the sausage up with the spices with each bite.

I gave them a 3 because the staff was nice. The food was terrible. I ordered the chicken Alfredo. Big mistake. The broccoli was not cooked at all, it was just cut up and crunchy. The pasta itself was undercooked and the sauce was non existent. My niece who is 1 had chicken tenders and everyone else got shrimp baskets. I don't know how theirs was but my food was awful. It took them forever and a day to being the food out and it wasn't even hot. Our waitress took the drink orders and bought us our drinks but we had to hunt Jersey down just to get a refill. Worse experience ever at a restaurant. Then had the nerve to automatically ads gratuity. This place is a joke.

This was my 1st visit and my family and I were celebrating my 3 grandsons graduation, 1 was from Pre-K, 1 was from 8th grade to 9th grade and last l but most importantly from the 12th grade to Tuskegee College for football!! The food was great all my family members enjoyed it the only thing we didn't approve of was the waitress ( Phyllisia B., )she had a very nasty attitude and she was rushing us out of the restaurant even while there was some of us still eating!!. The floor was clean in the dinning area. It is a cozy place to dine in. We will return but not having the same server as today

I seen this restaurant on TicTok and decided to give it a try while I was in Atlanta on a birthday trip. Everything was worth every penny spent ! Our server Mr. Earl was AMAZING! Honestly we tipped him $30 and that’s the most I’ve EVER tipped a server. His service he provided us was EVERYTHING! He made sure our food and drinks came out within a timely matter . The food was really good and the drinks are amazing ! Mr. Earl made sure we were satisfied and happy with everything . He’s so sweet and a very humbled person. I wish there were more servers like him in the world. I think he deserves more recognition….employee of the month or SUM! I will definitely be back again and hopefully Mr. Earl will still be there or a general manager !

Not a bad spot. First time going. Earl was amazing and too funny, he was our server. We had a big party and it was aight! Had a couple of 🍸 and had the Cajun salmon Alfredo! It was good!!! Had leftovers and ate as soon as I got home. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

We got a chance to try (WILD CRAB) last night, on Pence De Leon Pl, Decatur, GA. The food was very Tasty, and Hot! The Customer Service Was Awesome. We were waited on by Roger. A Very nice and Friendly Person. You can tell that he was getting ready to leave for the night, but he noticed that the receptionist had stepped away to take care of something, he put his personal items down and took our order. He had a smile on his face that could light up the world! Since I was from out of town and he found that it was that this was our first time visiting, he gave a gift card, so that we will use it on our next visit!

Got there right when they opened today. My first time visiting this place. My shrimp was hot and fresh. I got two different flavors. The house flavor is good but the cilantro lime flavor was AMAZING! Corn and potatoes were cooked to perfection. Nice outdoor seating area and waiting area for when times are busy. I finally found a place that is better than the juicy crab.

My boil bag was good, but it only came with 1 corn and 2 potatoes. They charge too much to add the sausage, egg, or anything else. Like sausage and egg supposed to be in there anyway🙄 They won't allow to substitute either. Overall a great place

When we arrived there was no wait we were escorted to our table promptly. Camron was our waiter and he was extremely helpful. It was my daughter's birthday so he arranged for everyone to sing happy birthday & gave her cake and ice cream. The birthday shots were awesome 👌 The food was seasoned perfectly and I enjoyed my visit I'll be back.

The service was amazing, order taker was actually listening and nice and patient! And when we arrived, I loved their sliding pickup window which made us feel safe and was very efficient...no touching door handles, etc. We ordered shrimp and catfish with fries and corn. Not only was the food good and still hot when we arrived but also, she loaded us up in sauces and I felt so blessed. Yes portion sizes were small so we doubled up, but definitely a clutch, close place to grab some hot slightly above average food and we'll be back.

I wish I got my servers/bartenders name, but I came in pretty much when they opened on Friday, July 30th and sat at the bar. Quick, friendly service. She checked on me more than once which I appreciate. Shrimp boil was good! They add an 18% gratuity, so I was a little worried about service, but I ended up adding an additional tip because sis was on it.

In my opinion this crab place is better than juicy crab, king crab or any other trendy crab restaurant in Atlanta. I ordered shrimp, snow crab, sausage and crawfish. All had there house seasoning which made it better than other seafood places because there was fresh tasty pieces of garlic in the seasoning mix.

We been coming here since they first opened. And we drive from so far away just to eat here. Finally, they have done it for us, I don’t think we are going to be coming back. First, let’s discuss the “suggested” 18% gratuity that is actually mandatory. Second, let’s discuss how their prices have sky rocketed in the last few weeks, but that’s understandable. Third Revolving door of cooks where last few times there is 0 consistency in food taste. Fourth, floor is always dangerously slippery Lastly (even though I can keep going), their credit card machine is 9/10 down. That’s one way to avoid paying taxes.

First time here and from out of town it was cool because I love seafood so why not? It left a little to be desired though because it just tasted like seafood. I guess I was expecting more of a seasoned feel and got less. The drink Welcome To Caribbean was great though and the Buffalo Shrimp appetizer was on point so I would definitely order those again. Maybe I'll start with the Cajun seasoning for my seafood instead on the Garlic Butter as I did. Added tip If you want Spicy, get Spicy, don't try to dial it back because you don't know how Spicy they're Spicy is lol chances are you can definitely handle it!

Our server Dee was amazing!!! We had never been to this restaurant and she helped us understand the menu and even suggested beer that would go with what we ordered. Besides all of her help, she was super patient with us since we didn't know what we were doing. I have to say the food here is some of the best crab I have ever had. It beats the crab I ate in the Bahamas. Th seasonings they use are to die for. I have to go back. And if you get a chance to go to this restaurant, you really should try the food here. One last thing, totally try the funnel cake fries. It is how all funnel cakes should be eaten forever and ever and ever.

The food was okay, nothing to brag about. We had the fried calamari,(2) shrimp and green mussels with sausage added. The sauce was a bit bland or little to no flavor and, the medium sauce was not medium; it was mild (whatever) it wasn't bad just not as good as what I have had in the past (juicy crab). We ordered a bottle of Seven Daughter's Moscato but got a bottle of Stella Rose Moscato for $32; I didn't understand that because they are completely different. The Calamari portion was very small and had more crust than meat. I like Calamari, so they were not too bad for an appetizer but for $9 I thought we would have gotten more. I read a review about this place being pricey but I think its about the same price as any other crab spot. For two people we spent $90 and I don't think that was too bad. I'm giving 3 stars because they didn't have a bartender and we had to wait for them to wash dishes in order to get wine glasses (130pm) and the crab sauce on the food had no real flavor and I didn't have any salt or pepper to put on it so I just worked it out. The server was very nice her name was Lady and she was very attentive with positive energy. Would I go back? Probably, it would just be the last choice if I was craving mussels.

Stop by to find they've only been open 1 week (May 2019). The service moved slow at first but again they're Freshly open. The food came out and the crabs were super fresh Good flavor and the potato was cooked correctly I ordered an Angry Pirate cocktail ... This drink was to die for. So my friend and I were visiting the area for a weekend trip before starting the last semester of grad school. We both LOVE seafood and have very high standards for what we consider “good” seafood. At first, we were going to go to Queen Krabz but elected not to due to the ratings and things said on google reviews. AND parking! You have to find somewhere to park and pay to do so. Anyway, we went to Wild Crab instead. Absolutely the best choice of the entire trip!!! We got there and was met by the greatest hospitality! Roger was absolutely amazing and the food was great. Roger took his time to explain the menu, the experience, and recommend drinks to us. He was the absolute best! Not to mention the food did the rest. It was absolutely amazing! They have combo plates which was great! I had lobster, crab, shrimp, corn and a potato in my combo. I got lit (Roger is also an amazing bar tender) and full for like $50!!!! I would highly recommend going to this place AND ASKING FOR ROGER!!!!

My sister and I hang out here every other week. We love their competitors, "JC" however we don't live close to one and this place is down the street. So one day we decided to give them a try and now we don't see the point to drive 25 more minutes out. Especially when you get slightly a little more food for about the same price, Wild Crab is a dollar or two cheaper but we go frequently so that adds up. We also like the layout of the place if you want to watch a game it's a perfect place, the seafood is great, the bar is fully stocked and the whole back splash of the bar is a screen, I only hope they add a TV or two into the little nook area so I don't have to turn my head towards the bar in order to watch a game. However that my only complaint but normally I sit facing the bar so I'm fine. The wait staff is great even the times I've been there when they were understaffed. The food is always good and according to my sister the drinks are too.

The shrimp basket came with a horrible fry to shrimp ratio. 6 Shrimps for a big box full of “Cajun” fries. Only thing Cajun about the fries was that orange golden color Cajun food has. There was no Cajun flavor. Not saying they were nasty, just not Cajun. The crab bag came with one red baby potato and one corn & 2 crab legs. There wasn’t enough sauce at the bottom of the bag to full enjoy the crab meat. Just okay food & flavoring. I quickly lost interest in the food.

I’ve been to Wild Crab twice. I went when it was fairly new and my only issue was the sauce. So I figured if I gave them more time to build the clientele, get their name out and receive feedback to workout the kinks it would be different the next go round. I like the location and the inside decor. The only problem is, the flavor and the sauce is still weak. Great customer service, food comes in a timely manner. The only problem I have is the sauce. The sauce is looser than most seafood boil sauces and it lacks flavor. The sauce wouldn’t stick to the seafood(if you know what I mean). Every bite, lacked and I was disappointed. Eating it, I asked myself is this the gentrified version? Honestly, if y’all thicken up the sauce and add more flavoring and seasonings. It’ll be Juicy Crab’s competition. Right now BLove and Juciy Crab got y’all.

What I will say is that the food is comparable to the Juicy Crab... Very flavorful. The atmosphere is very inviting. Nice set up, good drinks (I had the Welcome to the Caribbean tank)... HOWEVER, the service is subpar. Management need to train servers... We waited over 10 minutes for glasses of water. We had to flag down the host to designate us a server. I requested crab-crackers twice and never received them. I had to ask for a to-go box twice. I would prefer the chaos at Juicy Crab than the poor service at Wild Crab. While the staff is seemingly friendly, they aren't attentive and responsive. For it to be such a small place, this shouldn't be an issue. Would I refer it -- only if you're in the area. You can get the same food & better service at the Juicy Crab. Probably will return if I don't feel like traveling far for a seafood boil. OH! And in my POUND of crawfish, I had mostly heads without the tails. And our server forgot to put in my order of wings. So I had to wait for those also. When I think about it... The Juicy Crab is right up the street in Tucker... Not too far at all.

So this place is fairly new. I remember when it used to be a mellow mushroom, then something else, then Wild Crab. I have been to that plaza many times and for many years since I normally go to Green Ginger(my fav restaurant and location). Well, yesterday I went there to notice a, "Under New Management" sign. Red flags are going off immediately because the place is hella new. Anyways, food wasnt as good as it was when I went there the first time a few weeks ago. The garlic butter with the hot option isnt hot anymore. When I went there the first time I was sweating bullets. The food didnt come out as hot as it did the first time. It was kinda luke warm. Decatur Location: This really makes no sense at all.....I have eaten here serval times and today was one of the wrose experience of my life. The food is awesome but the customer service is horrible. I have been here since 8:15pm and just got sitted at 9:15pm. There where plenty of tables available when we got here but was told it was a 30 min wait.(waited a hour) When we finally got sitted we waited another 20mins on a waiter. Finally a dude named Dee walked over to the table of ladies that was clearly sitted after us and told them he'll be right with them . He came back like 6 mins later took their order first and then turned to ask us had we been helped...It is now 9:37pm and we just received our drinks. This is so not good customer service for the area that it's in.... hopefully they get more staff n or shift managers....Seems as if everybody was everywhere....COME ON CHRIS YOU GOTTA DO BETTER SIR.....

The hiram location needs to coach their employees not to wear their uniform home. I was at taco bell and a younger female came in wearing a wild crab shirt. She was pretty brutal to the employees at taco bell about her unusual request not being done correctly. I was wanting to try wild crab, but I have no intention of doing so if this is how their service employees act. If you are wearing the uniform you are representing the company, and this younger female was simply horrible.

I was excited to go to wild crab with my family because I had ate there with my friends and the food was really good but I was very disappointed on my recent visit because we didn't even get ask how much tip we wanted to pay it was just automatically put on my husband debit card and we was trying to tip in cash and then when I asked the waiter name lady do they automatically take a tip because it was 6 people she clearly was confused the food was great but I heard of gratuity but on the receipt it didn't acknowledge me that they was automatically taking 41 dollars for the tip and the manager excuse was all the people new
