Have visited a few times and Dewey’s has never let me down! The wide selection of pizzas features many amazing pies and I can confirm that the salads are equally as amazing. I’ve also only ever heard great things about the calzones! The staff has never been anything but friendly and create a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. I recommend everyone try out this great pizza place as it is one of my favorite places to go near OSU’s campus!

Listen, I’m a huge fan of Dewey’s. They have really decent pizza, and they offer a pretty decent gluten free crust. I order takeout from here like twice a month. I am generally pretty easy going and understanding. But when I pay for something, I expect to receive it. This photo is what paying for extra bacon for a regular salad looked like this time. There’s extreme variation between times I order, and most times there’s at least double this, sometimes there’s quadruple the amount. I understand some difference between orders, but this time was different: it came with probably less than one slice of bacon worth of bacon bits. I do recommend Dewey’s to others, but I’d appreciate more consistency with the food. Thanks.

I ate a very pleasant "late lunch" [or "early supper"] yesterday [9-29-2022] at Dewey's Pizza at 1327 W. Fifth Ave. in the "Fifth by Northwest" neighborhood of Columbus. Several years ago, Buckeye Sports Bulletin, a newspaper for which I used to work but from which I have now retired [their offices are across the street at 1350 W. Fifth Ave.] held a special event [I now forget the reason for that event] at Dewey's Pizza. I had been wanting to return to Dewey's Pizza ever since that many-years-ago "Buckeye Sports Bulletin" event but had not been able to do so until yesterday. My food choice for yesterday had been a "Green Lantern" pizza [red sauce, mozzarella, minced garlic, mushrooms, goat cheese, artichokes, and pesto]. It had been great to be able to study the Dewey's Pizza menu -- several times -- in advance of my visit and to have made my choice before I had walked in the door. I had been undecided between an 11" pizza and a 12" pizza but learned from my server that their 12" pizzas are gluten-free so I ordered an 11" pizza since I do not need gluten-free. My "Green Lantern" pizza had been delicious [even the following day after the leftover pieces had been reheated in a microwave oven]; I particularly appreciated the very soft crust [that had been softer than typical pizza crusts] and also had been "risen" more than usual near the outside edge of the pizza. If you are looking for some delicious out-of-the-ordinary pizza [they have many different completely-unique "Specialty Pizzas" from which to choose], I strongly recommend Dewey's Pizza.

Ive never had an average experience here. I'm absolutely obsessed with the porky fig pizza, my sister thought it was too sweet but I'm literally obsessed. I had another pizza from here too, I forget what but it had pesto drizzle... Great touch

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at Dewey's and look forward to returning soon! It is a nice space, you can watch the pizzas being made through a windowed kitchen. The service was excellent. The salads were excellent. The pizza was great. We had such a nice time. I definitely recommend checking it out!

Pizza was decent but $25 for a large specialty pizza? nah no way. You can get 2 ribeye steaks for that. Good pizza for inflated price. 7.5/10 food wise… 2/10 price wise.

This is definitely in the top 3 pizza places in Columbus. All of the pizza styles are unique, and they all sounded very good. We had the "Edgar Allen Poe" and the "Meatball" styles. I really liked the Edgar Allen Poe, with olives, garlic, mushroom, goat cheese, etc., but the tomatoes were low quality and not ripe. The crust is basic, but had a good consistency. Overall, I really liked it.

Top notch experience! First of all their pizza is delicious! It's very fresh and I can tell they use high-quality ingredients:)! It's so fun to watch them make your pizza in the window! My favorite pizza is the Edgar Alan Poe. I have to say Dewey's also has amazing customer service! Everyone on staff has been kind and courteous and go above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. Thank you Dewey's!

Can you ever go wrong with Dewey's?! We were in town for our daughters wedding and held the rehearsal here. They accommodated our rather large group of 25 (we did call ahead to make a reservation). We preordered the pies that morning and everything was ready shortly after we got there. Servers were great keeping up with everything. Always polite and accommodating when we spoke over the phone too. Thank you!

I really enjoyed this place. It is open and comfortable. I ordered their BBQ pizza and a small Greek salad. First, I ordered the small salad and it was large and delicious. Very fresh, and a nice combinations of flavors with the roasted garlic being a nice surprise. The pizza had good flavor but it was noy cooked long enough. The crust wasn't crusty people! I saw other pizza go buy that looked like they were done so I am not sure what happened to mine. Waitress was friendly and all that, just the pizza could have cooked 2 more minutes. I will probably give it one more try. If it was closer, I would go there for the salad.

Went in with a group. Very few tables were occupied. Service was ok, food was ok, prices were what they need to be there days. Gluten Free pizza was $$$$ so I had an ok salad.

Great service & pizza was amazing!! I created my own white pizza with banana peppers & spinach. I could taste the garlic in the sauce but it wasn't overpowering. Everyone else's pizza in my group looked great too. You can tell it was all fresh vegetables. Will for sure recommend.

We love Dewey's. Really good pizza with some interesting flavors. If you like wings at all try the Dante's Inferno (which is actually only mildly spicy.) We also like the Green Lantern for a vegetarian option. Mostly we love that you can get 2 kinds on 1 pizza, great for our picky 6 year old. The salads are also super yummy and plenty large enough to share. Casual atmosphere, family friendly.

Dewey's is a solid pizza choice. Limited options but all very tasty. The only menu options are pizza, calzones, and some salads so it's not diverse. This location has always had great and quick service compared to the others. Worthington is always a longer wait.

Interesting (in a good way!) pizza choices on a super crust; the crust's crisp exterior and soft interior is a superb base for the variety of menu or DIY pizzas (and strombolis). My group also seemed to really enjoy their salads, and I've heard good things about other things too... But let's face it, the star of the show here is the pizza. However, it's an expensive lunch, and I wish they'd offer something so I didn't have to relegate this to being a "special occasion" .

Excellent pizza, salad and brews. We eat there before Ohio State games and love the pizza. The crust is one of the best. Their salads are also a favorite - excellent salad dressings. Wide variety of craft beers to choose from.. Now that we are staying at home more, their carryout is extremely well-organized. Staff are friendly and efficient.

Pizza was good but not as stellar as I remembered. Got the Dante's inferno and for some reason I thought there would be more blue cheese crumbles and less celery. It was a salad almost lol. But honestly I can't complain it was good and staff was very attentive

Omg! This place is amazing! Salad was perfect. Everything cut and made fresh! Perfect amount of dressing. Then the pizza! So so amazing! If you love pizza you gotta try this place! You wont be disappointed! The service is awesome. The manager was great as well. The service was 5 stars as well!!!

IMO best pizza I have ever had. Their sauce is incredible! The ingredients are so fresh because nothing is frozen. We frequent the location in Grandview. Great atmosphere, staff is friendly, professional, prompt and will provide recommendations to menu options. Also their salads are great. Every salad seems to be a one off. The restaurant is clean, you can see the kitchen and the staff crafting every pizza! Just a great overall experience. One of a kind restaurant!

This place is sweet. The food is delicious and the dining room is so nice. I wish the parking lot was bigger, but it’s not their fault it’s a problem with Grandview in general. My dad passed away in 2016 and this was his favorite place, so it’s sentimental for me. The salads and pizza yum yum. The seasonal items are always great. The staff is nice, and I’ve never felt like I got less attention even though it can get very busy after 5pm, predictably on the weekends especially. I don’t really drink, but the beer selection looks good. The ingredients just taste so darn fresh and the dough is the perfect thin but not too thin.

The Bronx Pizza was very good, with great flavor. The crust is excellent too, which is nice cause it’s my favorite part. The customer service is fantastic. I ordered a half and half pizza (Bronx/Inferno). The inferno half just did not agree with my tastebuds. The server took care of it without me even asking for it. Highly recommend this place.

My kids and I lived Dewey's Pizza. The kids watched the pizza tossers toss then pizza while we waited for a table. We only waited 20 minutes at 6 on a Saturday night for a table of 5. We were lucky. This place is beloved in Columbus. I am glad to have finally made it. The crust is very slightly sweet and tastes great dipped in their home made ranch sauce. I like the sweet and salty Porky Fig. My husband loved his seasonal harvest salad--I stole some. It was perfectly dressed. The kids only rated it so so, but they still ate it all. They have craft beers and wines and white milk and sodas and lemonade to drink.

This place is the best. They already make good pizza and seem super nice but tonight was next level. My wife went in after a long night of work (our reason for eating out anyway) and the manager said our pizza didn’t get the right cheese on half of it. My wife, not knowing what we had ordered anyway said that it was fine, but he gave her two options: either we can cover it or we can half you a fresh one in 18-20 min. She thought they meant cover the pizza in cheese, not the cost, but they comped us the whole pizza! It was a horrific day till this guy brightened it accidentally out of no where!

We visit Dewey's Pizza as often as we can and recently enjoyed dinner there for our anniversary. The pizza is fresh and fantastic, and as pizza fanatics we can confidently say that it is some of the best we've tried! They are always very accommodating to make our pizza "half and half" with the toppings extra separated- I am a vegetarian and the pizza chefs keep the meat far away from my veg side. I really appreciate this extra consideration on their part. While their pizza is phenomenal, the salads are truly worth obsessing over. All the types we have tried have been awesome, and if I lived closer to a Dewey's I could easily see myself stopping by to get a salad carry-out for lunch. You won't regret stopping at Dewey's!

Love the pizza here, but there are many greats in the Grandview/Upper Arlington area. We can only order about 1 out of every 10 times we call them as a first choice due to their limited phone order capacity. They'd definitely land more orders re-evaluating that limitation. Great place overall though.

Dewey's is a tasty pizza place that is moderately expensive but also pretty quick. The pizza flavors are diverse enough to satisfy many different tastes and they will split pizzas free of charge. The drinks were okay. Typical. The server seemed new, excited, incompetent, or something. Kind of fun to watch the pizza makers make pizza too, especially when it gets busy.

Quality ingredients, friendly and knowledgeable wait-staff, and most importantly: very tasty pizza. I would highly recommend their specialty white pizzas. The garlic, olive oil, fontina sauce was top notch. Also, being able to get a half-and-half specialty pizza at no extra charge was quite nice.

Awesome soft crust!!! We tried the backyard BBQ and the Buffalo Chicken! Absolutely fabulous! Our kids enjoyed watching them make pizzas, and the guys trowing flour at the window. Servers were attentive! Will be back next time we go through Columbus!

This place is exceptional. Literally the best calzone I've ever had in my life. We shared a meatball, roasted cherry tomato, and basil calzone. We also tried the peppercorn ranch salad. This is the second time weve ordered. Everything is delicious! The calzone was perfectly cooked. All the sauces were delicious as well. Not to mention, they have North High beer here too. You can refill your 64oz. growler at North High for $15!

Great pizza! One cool thing many don't know... You're able to order the main ingredients (cheese, sauce, dough balls) separately for carryout. I do this often and just bake my own pizzas. It's a lot cheaper and you get the same great taste.

Always a great time at Dewey's. The dough, and Pizza are hand-made - visible in the window. The crew is always friendly and relaxed. You can get your classic Pizza combinations here, but they specialize in some unique and interesting combinations. The Special of the Month is always worth a try.

After an appointment in Columbus, my son and I searched pizza places nearby. I was wanting to go to one that was not part of a chain. We picked Dewey's Pizza. Place was very clean and upscale compared to a fast pizza place. We felt under dressed as other customers were wearing professional attire such as shirts and ties. The employees were very pleasant and friendly. We both ordered the calzone thing. OMG!!! We both really enjoyed our choice. We both would go there again. >^..^<

Parking can be a bit slim on weekends but the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff more than makes up for that. The food is pretty pricey, but I have always had fresh pizza, salads, and calzones on every visit. Would highly recommend this to anyone who even remotely enjoys pizza.

Despite getting an incorrect pick-up order, I was immensely impressed in the fast and courteous service I received on a busy Friday night to make it right. The correct order freshly made and hot out of the oven was delicious. A softer crust pizza with dense toppings and a flavorful sauce.

Everyone has their ideal pizza place. There are several pizza places in this area, but I generally consider Dewey's as the only pizza place worth visiting around here. It's a little pricier than other places, but the cost is justified in the quality of the pizzas/salads they produce.

Salads are amazing, pizza is very good. They have unique ones to choose from or you can create your own. Their calzones will give you the most bang for your buck but prepare to spent at least $30 here. They have beer and wine but I never get it.

This is as close to real, New York style pizza as I've found in Columbus. There are a lot of good pizza places in town, especially if you like thin and crispy or soda cracker style crust. There isn't really anything like a good NY slice in town though. This is pretty close.

Dewey's in Grandview has some great pizza. I have enjoyed what we've ordered from here the handful of times we've visited. I really like that they let you split the specialty pizza down the middle and try multiple things - 2 pizza turns into 4. The food can be a touch pricey if you're used to ordering chain pizzas for $6/pizza but this is worth paying a little extra for it.

Great pizza, fun atmosphere and a good beer selection all make this a go to place to meet in Grandview. The big kitchen window is always a delight for kids big and small. The pizza combinations are inventive as well as delicious and the cold beers help wash everything down. Wait times can be extensive during the dinner rush, but the to go service is quick, friendly, and the food is always hot and ready.

Blue ribbon was great. Only downside was there was some sections with a decent amount of raw flour on the underside that was hard to ignore. Not just a little bit, but a fairly thick coating in a few spots, enough to cause the raw flour taste to overpower the rest of the flavors of the pizza. Not sure how to solve it since the flour is used to keep it from sticking, and was not a deal breaker, just room for improvement.

What a wonderful experience for the entire family. While waiting for a table, you can watch the folks make the pizza through the windows. They will 'play' with the kids by throwing flour or dough at the window, which the kids love. They service adult beverages while you wait for your food and the pizza is outstanding. Highly recommend and is the 'go to' place in Grandview.

As an employer, these guys have their hiring strategy down. I'm guessing that they simply hire happy individuals knowing they can train them to serve. Unlike other restaurants... You can have a server with years of experience and a bad attitude and it ruins your experience. Not here. They hire positive people and train them well. They may not know it, but they are setting the stage for what you SHOULD expect from a restaurant experience. Plus.... The food is good. Im from Chicago so I'm a bit of a pizza snob. This is not the best pizza I've had, but it is damn good--and the staff makes this review worthy of five stars.

The pizza is very good (especially the specialty pizzas) and my picky six-year-old likes the crust because it reminds her of breadsticks. The pizza is a bit pricey but worth it. Pricier than Donato's but MUCH nicer staff and they hire adults - not children. This is our Donato's replacement.

Dewey's has some interesting pizzas but it's definitely over priced. But it is cooked in a properly heated pizza oven and comes out just like a proper charred pizza should. The crust is good, the variety is good. I particularly like the figgy piggy pizza and the buffalo chicken pizza. We had the 'van damm' during one visit featuring brussel sprouts, and boy I would not recommend that!
