On a road trip and googled best burger only to find this place just 1 exit north of I-20. They marinate their meat over night and only cook it once the order is placed. We loved our burgers! Very fresh, tender and tasty. Crinkle fries were hot. Also liked the condiment center where you can add whatever you want: fresh sliced tomatoes, beautiful crisp iceberg lettuce, sliced onions and tasty pickles. Everything was very clean including restrooms. Staff very friendly and helpful. It’s worth a stop if you’re in the area.

When you read reviews just know that it is impossible to please people 100% Even with best efforts there will always be that person here or there that just is unhappy. I have read some really dumb reviews on here nit picking price, saying the burgers weren't seasoned, overwhelming Christian theming, etc. It is all bullcrap!! I ALWAYS CALLS 'EM LIKE I SEES 'EM!! 1. The burgers are super fresh, the man starts cooking them after your order. They are well seasoned, in fact a bit much for me, but it's a taste thing. Everybodys different! The crinkle fries are store bought but executed perfectly. Hot and crispy on the outside, just like most people like. 2. They offer a Classic burger special. You have several cheese choices. Toppings at the bar, fresh and plenty and fries. ALL FOR $8.88!! Where you gonna get a fresh third pound burger with fries and a drink for that??? Gees, people!! 3. I have attached several pics of the place. It WAS NOT overwhelmingly Christian ornamented nor was anyone pushing anything. I just saw smiling, courteous, and clean associates! The reataurant was outstanding in cleanliness and organization. There is not another place I know that is this "on the ball". Thank you Steve's for surpassing expecations and bless you guys greatly for offering a value meal like the $8.88!!!

Passed by a lot of other restaurants because they are overly Christian here. Bible verses on the walls and bibles on the tables. We ordered the half pound hamburger steak which came with grilled onions and added cheese to it. Chose the baked beans as our side. There is a fixin's bar for adding toppings to your burger. Burger was nicely cooked. Enjoyed having the cheese, grilled onions, lettuce and tomato on top. Baked beans were tasty but sweet.

Nice family friendly mom and pop operation, with delicious burgers. Clean, spacious dining room. The topping bar is nice touch with a limited selection of fresh DIY garnishes, kind of like Fuddruckers used to do. Dipped ice cream and sweets in a connected walk through. A Bible on every table is an unexpected twist but nobody tried to proselytize so okay, whatevs.

We come here every time we are in town for my kids doctors appointments around the corner. Delicious food. Love their burgers and melt in your mouth onion rings. The homemade milkshakes next door are delicious and my daughter loves their brownies. The atmosphere is wonderful christian facility. The type of small business place id rather give my money to than a big chain fast food restaurant. They have christian music playing and bibles on every table. They have a big chalkboard for prayer requests and a little prayer request box as well.

Great food , decent pricing , Wonderful Coustomer Service. Very Clean the Owners are always there and they are Very Kind. I personally think they make the Best tasting Burgers and Onion Rings.( That's my Favorite ) they also have a Ice Cream Store and Make Very Good Coffee .

Second time the I came to this place. First time I was impressed with the Christian atmosphere but it wasn't overbearing. Love the chalk board to add prayer request and bible on some tables. Burger was hot and fresh both times and like the toppings bar to pick my own toppings. Today when I went in, I notices a small sign on the door that stated that lawful concealed carry was welcomed, as a CWP holder that was very much appreciated. Service was great as well, cashier even made a point to say "thanks for coming have a great day" as I was leaving. Overall great food, service, and atmosphere!

The fact that this is a local business that is blessed everyday with the owner's presence and hard work is more of a statement as to why the food is sooo delicious... So many ways to get a juicy, perfectly cooked burger. My girlfriend ordered the sliders and they were perfectly portioned and not over cooked. The topping bar is fresh with tasty tomatoes, onions and pickles just to name a few.... Respect to the fine folks that own this gem of a place to dine. Do not miss out on ice cream or coffee without even having to leave the building at Snow's Ice cream and Coffee, which by the way is Steve's wife's business... They employ local youths and have a great thing going.... (Even with the Clemson stadium photo on the wall.) 🤣

Obviously this is not a fine dining establishment. But the burgers, fries, and apple pies are tasty. If you don't like how your burger was garnished you can blame either yourself or your family member or friend who garnished it for you with the fresh lettuce, tomato, etc. Haha! It's not as fast as the fastest fast food places, but it's not far off. And the food quality is significantly better.

We were in Columbia SC for a concert. We are from TN. We googled to try to find a new restaurant to try and we are so glad we chose Steve's Classic Burgers. Everyone was super nice. Loved it was a christian based restaurant. The burgers were great and cooked fresh! Didnt break the bank $! Definitely recommend this place!

Steve's classic burgers. It's a far spot to dine in or carry out. I have tried classic cheeseburgers to the wild burgers at the end of the spectrum. All in all. If you have the time on your hands Steve's is the place to dine. Cooked to order and served up hot.

Me and the fam were looking for a bite to eat and saw their sign and decided to stop by. They make the burgers are made as soon as you order and are very tasty. And for the dessert you can just go next door for ice cream. The staff is very friendly and the food is absolutely amazing. Most definitely would recommend.

I am completely in shock with this burger joint, I came on a Tuesday while on a road trip. Turns out the burgers are buy one get one FREE. I thought maybe it would be small, nope 1/2 pound of fresh delicious beef with a blend of spices that really take it up a notch. The fact that McDonald's has a huge line in the drive thru and this place only had a handful of people is insanity to me. Maybe it's the fact they don't want to get off their a** out of the car? Idk. If I was the owner Id have someone out there telling people for the same price or LESS they will get a delicious hand made burger, I mean TWO. If you're lucky enough to live close and love a great burger, you have to make this your Tuesday spot!

It's such a pain to find a good hot dog or sausage dog in Columbia, but Steve's does both very well! Bring your napkins if you go fully loaded because it's gonna get messy, amd thats not a bad thing at all!

Excellent tasting burger. The meat was well seasoned and had a very meaty flavor. The lunch combo deal is good value at $7.50 including a 1/3 pound burger, fries and pretty large drink. Restaurant was very large and clean. This was my first time visiting Steve's and I'll definitely be back. I wish I got a little more for the price, so next time I'll opt for the double or half pound burger combo. The fries were the letdown of the meal here though, they were very bland and lacked seasoning. This could be an error on my part not asking for fry seasoning or salt / pepper.

It’s a good burger, will not disappoint. But by the time I was done eating, I had a pretty large pile of trash because everything came in it’s own container - the lettuce, tomato, and onion, the pickles, the jalapeños, the ketchup, the Mayo, even the seasoning for the fries; each in its own container. So I assembled the burger myself which is okay but I felt bad I had created so much trash just for eating a single burger, fries, and drink.

Can you say juicy delicious! This burger was heaven sent and so is the great Christian atmosphere. I love the scriptures of encouragement as we need more of it in this world. Interesting to see how people no longer value others beliefs in other reviews when it's a Christian establishment but will go to other religious based restaurants but say nothing? Sad to have adult bullys.

Liked the no-bun option. It came piled high with grilled onions. Baked beans (instead of FF) came well-flavored. Enjoyed the overtly Christian atmosphere, which is why we drove out of our way to experience this restaurant.

Decent burger. Would stop by here again if I'm in the area and in mood of a burger. A bit too much of Christian overtures for my liking (scriptures on walls, bibles on tables, etc). April, the deaf waitress, was amazing. She made sure I was satisfied with everything and was very friendly.

Wonderful family owned establishment. Home grown from much smaller venue years ago to now very spacious place with outdoor seating as well as ice cream and coffee/espresso bar. Burgers live up to the reputation. Done right. Many other delicious options, I've also had their Philly Cheese, which was great.

I cannot give this place a bad review because the people working in there seem so genuinely nice and positive. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I don't see what the big deal is about the bibles on the tables and the restaurant having a Christian theme. Also, the atmosphere is really nice. That being said, my cheeseburger was not very good and my fries were about like Or Ida frozen fries. They just need to find a good cook. If you want to be a successful restauranteur you have to love to eat and appreciate good food. But they seem like great people and I am completely rooting for them and wish them all the success!

Lots to choose from on the menu board. Food comes out quickly. Atmosphere is very nice and I like the bibles on the tables. Veggie bar is fresh and you add what you want. Restaurant is clean throughout. Staff is courteous and helpful. My burger was really good.

Came right before the lunch rush and waited 25 mins for the smallest salad that 'isnt' a side salad. And there was only 2 salads to choose from- grilled chicken or house. I said something to the lady at the counter about the size (cuz I was very disappointed after the wait) and she said 'well what did you expect'. Salad wasn't bad, just a little bland. Grilled chicken was cooked well. I've eaten numerous times at the Steve's in West Columbia and South Congaree and loved it. Those locations have more salad options and are about 2x the size of what i got today. I'm not happy at all!

Came here with a couple friends thinking it’s just another burger joint. I was surprised though. Best burgers I’ve ever had. I think this place’s burgers beats 5 guys by a mile. The burgers here taste better, look better (not mushed together like 5 guys) and are more customizable. The patties are so thick and tasty. I haven’t enjoyed a burger like that in such a long time. I’ll be coming back here in the near future.

You’ll find friendly people and good food at great prices. Others have commented in reviews about how open the owner is with his faith. If you’re going to be upfront on being religious at your business, it’s pretty important you back it up with actions, and their great service, honesty and good humor prove they’re sincere. Spinning the little wheel to pick a surprise discount was pretty cool, too! They have specials throughout the week, including vets and seniors days.

We wanted something other than fastfood so decided to try Steve's for the first time, and WOW am I glad we did. From the second I walked in the restaurant to finishing our food at home, it was unbelievably good. The young lady that took my order was very friendly, the restaurant was spotlessly clean, a very nice man I believe was the manager or owner came out of the kitchen after making our food and said "hello, we are just finishing up your food, hope you enjoy, come back and see us." The toppings bar was spotless as well, filled with beautiful produce. The lady that gave me our food was smiling and offered to help carry everything. We had the 1/3 lbs burger combos, philly cheese steak, both with onion rings, and the kids tenders. Burgers tasted fresh off the fire, could not be better, IMO. We are originally from the Northeast, and this Philly was Perfecto. Onion rings...yum... In a world filled with bad experience after bad experience, this place was an absolute gem. We will definitely be going back again and again.

My husband got a monster burger and I had a side of chili cheese fries. The burger was decent but nothing special. The fries were bland and the chili was not good. We enjoyed the atmosphere and customer service but we didn't personally care for the food.

I would give them 5 but the prices are a bit extra. You’d get more quantity and quality by heading to a Five Guys and paying similar prices tbh. My boyfriend and I both got burgers which were good and cooked well. I do really like the toppings bar aspect. Even when we went half an hour prior to closing, they were all extremely fresh! They could use a lot more sauce options though like BBQ, honey mustard, ranch, etc. They have a good selection of sides (I got tots and my bf got sweet corn nuggets) but I wish they gave bigger servings or lowered their prices. They also don’t have very many drink options, however, there is a coffee/ice cream bar to the side called Snow’s that has a lot of coffee to choose from (didn’t try on the first visit) and a decent amount of ice cream as well. I got a small white chocolate raspberry shake which could’ve used more raspberry but was still really good. I want to go back and try the s’mores though. Overall the food was good but nothing too extraordinary which makes their prices seem outrageous. Our service was very friendly and speedy though, spending less than 15 minutes there. I appreciated the fact that no one tried preaching to us and it was only the decor that was overtly Christian, but this was also only one visit. I hope my business will continue to be respected with boundaries if we decide to go back. I think they missed an opportunity in naming it “Steve’s Christian Burgers” though, which is much more accurate.

Okay so I'm tried and true Five Guys fan! If we want cheeseburger and fries that's where we went! My mom had a few recommend this place. We tried and I'll have to say this place is quite possibly the best cheeseburger I've gotten from a restaurant. It's a self serve your own toppings. You go in and order your burger. Sit down, they call your number. You grab your food and go to the topping bar. It's quite ingenious. Good job Steve's Burgers! We will be repeat customers. The only warning I give to this place, is it is a religious owned business. So there is holy bibles on all the tables. Which threw my mother off (she is not Christian). So if that gives you heebie jeebies... you're going to miss out, that's for sure! Because these are the BEST burgers in Columbia.

But the best thing about this place was CHRIST JESUS was glorified all throughout the building. They even have bibles on each table this is awesome. Great family atmosphere. I come here about as often as I can, because honestly ever since coming here for the first time it’s been one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. after a period of time, I’ve actually grown bored and don’t go to as many other burger places as I used to. If you’ve never been here, it is a MUST TRY as everything is awesome here. I’m huge on consistency and this place has plenty of it. The best burgers and desserts in town! I discovered this gem when they first opened in 2015. The food is amazing and appropriate for all…burgers, hotdogs, Philly cheesesteak, salads and the monster melt! This one you have to see to believe folks. I rarely write reviews online (as in never) but I want to help a local business out. To be honest the food was very good. I had a taste for a Philly cheese steak sandwich, although I don't eat beef - strange taste craving LOL. Anyway, the sandwich was great! I think I may have over ordered online, as I was unfamiliar with the restaurant or choices. I didn't see an option to have chicken rather than beef, which would have been nice. Still, it was well worth it. I ordered near the closing hour, walked in and no one (patrons) was there. My order was ready right away. I was greeted pleasantly and enjoyed my food when I returned home. My take on the location? It's good, far back off the main street and to be frank I've lived in the area for 10+ years and never knew it was there. The inside seemed clean (which is a BIGGIE for me). The two folks behind the counter had smiles and greeted me with a welcome. However, I must admit the Christian paraphernalia everywhere REALLY made me uneasy. And I'm a devout Christian! It just seems way too much. It's so BAM, in your face. I can only imagine how it can make non-believers or the less devout feel. It could be off-putting or even a little anxiety inducing to some. I believe in sharing the faith or making it available but your welcoming smiles, kindness and love will go much farther in spreading His word than paper pamphlets, flags or crosses. The only other thing that I didn't care for, is someone put the straw in my drink for me. I didn't care for that practice *before* COVID, I care for it even less now. In general, in my opinion, it's not a good practice. Leaving the straw in the sleeve and handing it to customers is preferable ;-). I will be back though - just won't order a drink or I'll specify no straw. LOL

I think of this as old school, high quality, classic burger dining! We loved it the very first time going there and are definitely going back! I have the classic with pimento cheese and grilled onions. The ingredients were well balanced and everything tasted great together! She had the veggie burger. Black bean burger patty with her preferred fixin’s; she was happy and I agreed it was tasty. The staff was super nice and really made you feel at home. Thank you!!

Sorry I didn't get a picture but I was too busy stuffing my face! This was our first visit to Steve's after hearing how great the burgers are and they are delicious! The meat is very flavorful and the toppings are fresh. Plus, the fries and tater tots were hot and crispy. We finished up with a small cone of butter pecan and pistachio ice cream, yummy!! Everyone was nice and polite and our food came quickly. Already looking forward to our next visit.

We tried them over the weekend for the first time and are ordering lunch here again today. Delicious burgers, sausage dogs, chili, & fries! Burgers are seasoned to perfection, I didn’t even order this but tried my husbands (of course lol) and was hooked. Reminds you of exactly what the name says, a classic burger joint. There used to be a place where I grew up called Red Robin’s (not the big food chain) and their food tasted similar, but Steve’s are better seasoned. I highly recommend! Prices are awesome too!

Can't say enough good things about Steve's!! The burgers were out of this world (can't wait to try the monster melt next trip), the dining room was clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We went to Snow's Ice Cream (same place different area of restaurant) after the burgers and got ice cream sundaes and they were delicious!!! And you can't beat the value! A burger and ice cream of that quality was much cheaper for our family than if I had taken them to a typical fast food restaurant. My family of four had dinner and desserts for under $50. Unbeatable quality, service, and value!! We will definitely become regulars!

I went here for the first time this afternoon after I saw the very positive reviews. I can add another positive review! The 1/2 lb. Burger and crinkle fries were both cooked well and taste very good. The toppings bar next to the pick up line is an interesting idea. It keeps the lettuce and other toppings fresh, just like at home! Will definitely go back.

Depends on what time of day do you go you have great service, then other times you just have good service. I wish the burgers was a little bit bigger as in the size of the bun 4 special for the price but if I want me a good Burger, I do go there. First time visiting, took my kid with me. I ordered the classic combo, and the kid ordered a turkey burger combo. They were cooked too perfection! I even took a bite of the turkey burger and it was good! That's saying a lot I'm not usually a fan. On a side note get the cheese fries! It doesn't say cheese fries on menu that I saw but they made them! I look forward to going back!

Good Place to Eat!! My family and I ate there today for the first time. The burgers were outstanding. The restaurant was clean and safe. The only down side was the under-cooked peach cobbler.

Good food. The Holy Bible on each table is awesome, but it looks like people regard it as decorations than to actually open it and read it. 2 tv's are there. The booth benches are a little hard, but I believe whoever the owner is, when he/she gets more income will add more padding. The chairs have better padding. The ice cream shop attached is awesome. A whole lot of flavors, coffees, latte, Expresso's, etc., and comfortable seats. Even a place to read and hide from the other people. They have a stage, but use it gor storage. I think it would be nice for a guitarist or flutists to play quietly there. The employees are great! The place is clean, and the food is delicious. "Facial protection" is not demanded but many do wear one and there is no judgement from employees or patrons, or myself. It's not too expensive, and they do offer Senior discounts at certain times. I get mine after 2 pm on Saturday. Remember: if you're looking at McDonald's, this place is to the left, all the way in the back. Plenty of parking on Saturdays 🤠.

We came down for a soccer tournament and when out of town I habitually Google best burger in (name of city.) This place absolutely lived up to it! Excellent prices, delicious marinated meat, I love the fact that the toppings were separate from the burger. It's a very understandable tragedy that in the time of COVID the toppings bar wasn't available. Absolutely top-tier, and the attached ice cream shop is the cherry on top! It's a good thing this place isn't near me or I'd be 300+ Pounds!

Enjoyed the food each time I’ve been. Good, good burger! You decided your toppings and how much of them you want. Hot dogs are great, grill cheese, fries, all good. You can even share your prayer needs with the owners and they will encourage you. Have held several parties there and they always have open arms! You won’t be disappointed. They even feed the homeless at no charge and discount first responders. This is the Spirit of America!

Steve's always has the best burgers in Columbia! They consistently have fresh condiments, and their staff is patient and helpful. They have a surprisingly large menu and everything that I have tried so far is outstanding. If you're looking for somewhere to go, it's hard to go wrong with this place. They have also recently opened an ice cream shop inside and it looks amazing!

I appreciate Steve's Classic Burgers remaining open during this difficult time to offer takeout as well as curbside pickup. I recently purchased two classic burgers, french fries and onion rings. They were hot and fresh. Thoroughly enjoyed them. I also got a Philly cheese steak sandwich, to share. It was amazing and made me wish I had gotten two for each of us. The best I have had in Columbia area, including Lexington! The staff was so friendly, too. .Love the option to leave money for a meal for someone who may be homeless. We can't all do everything, but we can all do something. Thanks Steve's Classic Burgers. See you again soon.

Good burgers! They had a Tuesday special, but one get 2nd half off. The hostess helped us decipher the options for our best bargain. It's a beautiful Christian-atmosphere with a prayer wall and verse for the day, a rarity to see a business steeped in faith. We'll be back!

This is a wonderful place. It is Christian based. There is a salad bar and you can order sandwiches and burgers and soup. There is a side room where they have an espresso bar and hard packed ice cream in various flavors. Every table has a Bible sitting on it. And the place was packed! Such quick service to say the burgers are cooked to order and the girl working the restaurant was very helpful. Love how I can add the toppings to my burger. My Husband and I have been regulars (2-3 times per month) customers at Steve's for years. The place is immaculate. Clean Clean Clean! Not one thing out of place. The food is made fresh to order and is delicious. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The employees are professional and courteous. We get a "Thank You for coming in" goodbye from Steve every time we visit. We have not been eating out due to Covid-19. Due to my previous experiences at Steve’s, I felt more than comfortable picking up a take out order today. As usual...a clean environment...friendly staff and a great burger!

We love Steve's Classic Burgers and just placed an order for pick up. WOW. Talk about awesome service!! I placed the order and paid online using orderspoon. (link below) I ordered each burger individually. In the "Extra Instructions" box, I listed the name and toppings each person in the family wanted. (ex. Billy Bob - lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mayo) This took a little longer in ordering (maybe 2 minutes) -- but when I picked up the food, they had each person's topping box individually labeled. I am probably not making total sense -- but all I'm trying to say is that the extra care in ordering was seriously impressive. I pulled up and they were coming out at the same time with all my bags. So fast and so good. We are a family of 5, and our order only came to $28 and some change. We had PLENTY of food. Please support this awesome local business during this challenging time!!

We stopped by Steve’s Classic burger last Friday to have a picnic outside with my kids during this crazy time. Everything was amazing! Super friendly and knowledgeable staff as we asked lots of questions to accommodate my moms diet. Food was hot and fresh. The multiple times we have eaten here we have never been disappointed!! I absolutely love this place! The food is delish and I’m addicted to the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The restaurant is always clean and the staff are super friendly. I like that Steve himself walks around and greets people. I especially appreciate bibles on each table and the prayer board. When my baby was in the hospital with a spinal tumor and had 10 hour surgery, I believe the prayers of many people made a big difference in his miraculous recovery. When I ask my 3 kids where they’d like to eat, it’s Steve’s, not McDonald’s 😊

Best burger there is. Today I finally managed to try this place for the first time. It's small (moving to a larger building) but great. The first thing I noticed were the Bible's on the tables and the prayer wall. Then the employees chatting with customers. They were very friendly and helpful. I ordered the classic with cheese, mushrooms, and grilled onion combo. They made the burger fresh and they have a topping buffet so you can add what you want to the burger which was nice, because it leaves no room for error on their part. I have had bad experiences with other burger places leaving things off my burger. I also ordered the peach cobbler and took the food to-go. I took the first bite and it was a winner. It was perfectly seasoned and juicy and fresh. I had my husband try it and he was very impressed. It tasted like a homemade grilled burger (much better than five guys type places, in my opinion.) The cobbler was very good also, however if you like yours with a crispy topping, it's probably not for you. I will definitely be back. The price is pretty good, comparable to other good burger places, but the taste is much better. I am overly full after eating the burger and fries and could definitely have turned it into two meals if it had not been too good to stop eating. Lol The only thing I would suggest, to bring in more business, is to get a gluten free bun. That is the only reason I can't bring my family as my daughter can't have gluten. Get some gluten free buns and charge .75¢-$1 extra for it. You will have a lot more business because gluten free is not only a trend right now but an allergy for a lot of people. Thanks. 😀

I like looking for local restaurants because usually those are the best places. I decided to try this place since I was on that side of town after reading the reviews. The burger was tasty and fresh. Sweet tea was just right. Peach cobbler is really good. The environment felt welcoming and cozy. You don't walk into too many places feeling the presence of the Lord.

Was down from Ohio visiting a friend in the area; stopped in with my friend to see another mutual friend who works there. As a chef myself I will happily tell you that whoever they have behind the grill knows how to make a really good hamburger. They are a clearly christian small business. If that puts you off I'd suggest looking elsewhere. Personally speaking I find it rather refreshing to encounter a place where they are open enough to quite literally serve a portion of their faith on the table.

Found this gem when we were Googling for a nearby restaurant while in the St. Andrews area. Glad we did! We enjoyed the patty melt basket, some light-hearted conversation with the guy behind the counter (Steve?), and the overall casual family dine-in experience during COVID. I am so glad I found this place. My burger was delicious. It reminded me of home cooked food made with love. I, too, was surprised at the Christian decor BUT in a good way!! It was an atmosphere of peace and comfort. I often go to places where my religion isn't even a thought to the people with whom I interact. I felt blessed and joyful with a Bible on every table. I've been here for lunch twice. If you hit the lunch crowd, you may need to wait a little while to order, and all orders are cooked fresh. Because he cooks it when you order, it does take some time. This is not a fast food joint, but the time to get your food is very reasonable. It is hot, fresh, and delicious. There is a little condiment bar so you can customize, which I really like. I have only tried burgers and I was not disappointed. Thick, juicy and flavorful. My wife liked the cheesesteak she ordered. Fries are ok, not great. I really appreciate the fact that he offers discounts for first responders in uniform and for military and vets. Bottom line, I have really enjoyed my visits, and I will definitely be back. You should go too, I don't think you will regret it.

We are regulars to this restaurant for good reason. The food is delicious and the people who work here are amazing. I highly recommend the burgers and the chicken tenders. Everything is always fresh, and if it's not to your liking, just let Steve know and he will fix it. It is heavy on the Christian decor, but it's a small business in the South - what are you expecting? I'm not Christian, but that has never stopped me from enjoying my meal at Steve's. If crosses and bible verses ruin your appetite for fresh juicy burgers, this might not be the place for you.

Great food. While many may not..., I appreciate the placement of a Bible at each table. My first time I ordered a hamburger steak platter to sample the meat without fixings. Great flavor! Substituted the fries for fried mushrooms. Only thing I could suggest is to have a few bottles of steak sauce at the fixings bar.

I've been coming here ever since they opened. I probably came the first time within the first two weeks of the business opening. They have flavorful burgers, a pretty good assortment of side items, and they have other main items besides just burgers. They have grilled cheese, Hot Dogs, and other stuff which I don't really remember. That's mainly because I normally get burgers, grilled cheese, or hot dogs and I've never tried anything else.

I visited Steve's Classics burgers once with my husband. He would always talk about hiw he loved the food before they moved into their new building. He was so impressed with the scriptures that wers on the wall which made me all the more curious. We finally got a chance to go and eat. I ordered the turkey burger. I had a hard rime eating the burger because of some personal experiences. I was ok with not eating because I knew they did a great job cooking. My husband's burger looked so good but I am not a huge beef eater. After I told Steve why I couldn't finish it he just went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. He cooked a whole new sandwich for me. I will never forget that because he didn't have to do that. The waitress was amazingly friendly. I loved the atmosphere. I have wanted to go back since and haven't made it back there. I look forward to brining my kids there for kids night. This is a classic burger joint with delicious burgers. Fresh toppings, soft bread and a juicy burger are important to me and Steve's does not disappoint. ITS DEFINITELY WORTH IT. i have 2 picky boys an a stubborn husband who will NOT eat a burger anywhere other then STEVE'S. So we drive from gaston to st Andrews to get burgers.. So what does this tell you... 45 mins for a burger... Obviously they are amazing... My husband loves the monster melt. And to all these people ATTACKING him because of his beliefs... Leave him alone... People like you are the ones that wanted god out of public school ... You got it.. But look where most of you or your children ended up ... Jail reading what... A bible... My husband loves the burgers here. They are cooked the same each time, you know what you're getting and you can add your own toppings. Staff is always lovely. Bonus points: I was helping a family new to Columbia through some church volunteering and the dad needed to break a bill so he had change for their laundry machine. But he only had a ten and the coin machine was broken. We just happened to be near by and the staff must have given us all their quarters to help this man. They did it without hesitation and it really helped this family. Thank you.

OK, here's my two cents worth. I moved to the area recently and have seen it so one rainy afternoon, on my way home, I decided to try it out. No drive thru....rain...oh well, they say it is really worth it... Saw all the religious stuff...OK, I have lived in the south all my life... Ordered a cheeseburger, To Go, ATW, fries. Was told that I put toppings from bar. OK. After I sat down to wait, I saw owner get up from dining area to to go cook my burger. I was the only customer. I got the burger, open-faced and ready for me to top. Here's where my problem with the setup comes in. The burger and fries are served open in open to go box. I added toppings asap and left. Drove 1/2 mile to home .approx 4min, Went in and sat down to a cold burger and fries. If he would make burgers to order for to go customers, this would not happen. Burger wasn't OK cold. Frozen fries were not OK cold Just a suggestion.

We had a dealsaver coupon, so decided to give it a try since the reviews were so good. I was prepared for the christian propaganda, and really I respect the fact that they look at their diner as a ministry. We ate outside, as the inside dining area felt a little claustrophobic, with no booths. The burgers were very good: not tough, but juicy and fresh. I have recently been eating my burgers with a knife and fork and skipping the bun, so the toppings bar was perfect. I certainly got my moneys worth! The choices include lettuce, pickles, mayo, banana pepper rings, chopped onions, onion rings, relish, mustard and ketchup, and slaw. The french fries were frozen, so not great, but there are lots of substitutions available. You can pay extra for bacon, pimento cheese, grilled onions, mushrooms, or an egg. Cheese of your choice is included in the price. the bun looked a little flimsy. Another small quibble was that it comes in a cardboard boat, which is too small for the food. We will be back, but since you have to eat in to take advantage of the toppings bar, it's not going to a regular stop.

What can I say other than this is a "real" burger joint. There are so frill toppings like avocado that I can tell. The burgers are seasoned and that makes them taste so much better. This isn't your usual beef patty thrown on the grill, these burgers have soul. Also they are big. If you order a 1/3 lb burger, that's what you're getting. Lol I made the mistake of ordering a double 1/3 lb and could barely finish it. All in all, it's a nice homey burger joint. That being said, it is a faith based small business. If you aren't religious or are offended by the Christian faith, then order to-go. Other than that this is a must try if you want a home cooked burger.

Born and raised in a Christian household mother is an evangelist but the bibles everywhere wouldn't feel inclusive to people of other religions and I'm guessing from the previous remarks that you'll say what?

A cute christian place, i think it's really cool that they have bibles on every table, but they might want to think about investing in a more updated translation because not very many modern people can understand the king james and it is quite a turnoff to open the bible and see all that old english.
