Nice comfortable and chill atmosphere for some grown folk fun. Music was great. Staff was friendly. The food was tasty. The crab cakes I ordered were kinda small and a bit pricey for an app, but very flavorful. Definitely would go again. Great for couples.

We had a great time for our first time and will be back for the experience but some come we experienced was 1. It took a long time for the waitress to come and get orders 2. We ended up having to share a table with people we didn't know although they ended up being really nice people 3. They added 18% gratuity even though it was only two of us and you also have to purchase a minimum amount or you will be charged We are avid jazz lovers and in a city where it is not available this is a nice place

I drove from Charlotte to experience this spot. This is an upscale spot for grown folks. It's classy, food is amazing, drinks were exquisite and the live entertainment is amazing. And the owner Miss Che...just a beautiful soul. I will be returning.

Been 3 times, once for first Thurs discounted drinks and food and twice for Sunday Jazz Brunch. I absolutely love this place! The food and drinks are amazing. I highly recommend the French Toast. It's my go to brunch food and they have the best I've tried in the area by far. The music and whole vibe is infectious. I always have a great time singing along to the covers by the jazz band and dancing. 5 stars hands down!

I would give this venue well over 5 stars!! You can't beat the classy environment and awesome staff!! I would go on and on but that would be ranting!! It was my first time ever going to Chayz Lounge. My wife has previously been there before many times in the past. It definitely won't be my last time going. I plan to go a whole lot more, in the near future. At this lounge, there is such a positive and intimate vibe. It's very classy, with some classy people. I really enjoyed my overall experience. There was music 🎶 being played while eating. And speaking of eating...the brunch that I ordered was delicious. For anyone that decides to go, I recommend the Salmon and scrambled eggs. It was tastefully delicious. While at Chayz Lounge, there was a saxophone musician that entertained everyone including myself and my wife. I miss and forgot his name at the moment, but he was very good. He is a regular at Chayz Lounge, from what I was told. Once again, I truly enjoyed myself and my first time experience. I recommend to anyone and everyone that may take the time to read this post, GO CHECK IT OUT! Thank you is in order to everyone that reads my post. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with Chayz Lounge. It's very informal, elegant, and classy. So come dress to impress, ready to eat, and ready to hear some awesome music. I promise this place will leave you with a good impression. I want to thank Chayz Lounge for what it does and for what it brings to the community of Columbia, SC.

Absolutely loved the experience! The band was awesome and interactive. The food was delicious! (I had seared salmon (cooked to perfection) that came with pita bread and a delicious dipping sauce and a garden salad (large portion) .) The staff were professional and friendly. I was looking forward to my visit, but I must say my first time wasn’t the greatest. We visited on a Sunday and had a fairly large party, but weren’t seated together. The table I was seated at did not receive prompt service and parts of our dishes were cold. I ordered the salmon and eggs and the eggs didn’t seem to be fresh shell eggs. Overall the vibe was great but I do know they were short staffed this day. The owner personally came to check on us for feedback. She genuinely appreciated our patronage and seemed to take our comments to heart. I do look forward to visiting again so that I can give a 5 star review!

I am new to SC and was looking for a jazz club online. I found Chayz Lounge and attended their Sunday Brunch 10/16th. May I say that the setting, music and food were all great! Ms. Chayz is a gracious and kind business owner who made me and others feel right at home. She even sent some lovely young ladies to join me at my table and we had a blast! I look forward to returning again and again!

This was our first time visiting and celebrating two of our friends birthdays. Everyone had a fantastic time, food was excellent and jazz was great. However we did appreciate the owner explaining the longer way for our food, even though we where the first into the establishment. I think our problem happened when waitress said to us that once she served another table their water, then she would be right back to take our orders, but it never happened cause she continued to take orders from the back versus returning to us. So by the time we decided to order the two birthdays girls wanted the steak and eggs, but steak was no longer available to order, so that was disappointing since we were there early enough to have gotten that order in on time if the waitress was more efficient. Then when we paid our bill my niece wanted to make sure that the waitresses did capture the tip, she asked her prior if she did include the the tip when paying and the waitress replied that wasn't a concern for her, that was an inappropriate answer to say back to a guest and paying customer. However, overall we enjoyed ourselves and definitely will return again.

Atmosphere great, music great, food good, service was good, but bar drinks terrible. The bar staff was new and nothing ordered was good. Flat, watered down...just bad. Additionally, there is not an option to replace bar drinks. Even so, I ordered a 2nd drink and it was just as bad. One guest said her drink tasted like fish water. My suggestion is to have drinks prior and have drinks afterwards, elsewhere.

Fantastic music, service, food, and drinks. Went to see The Rod Foster Trio, there on Thursdays. Great band in an intimate space. Definitely a great place to bring a date. Really enjoyed myself here and will definitely be going back on a regular basis. Buy tickets online to reserve a table and the rest of the night will take care of itself.

Drove from Fort Bragg/Fayetteville NC to check out Chayz Lounge on October 21st. My wife and I really enjoyed ourselves. Miss Chaye greeted us once we entered the building. Miss Chaye made us feel welcomed. Miss Chaye impressed me when she went each table and spoke to each table (major kudos). The waitress was awesome with her service and attitude. Bryan Anderson (the performer) and his band (especially the Sax player) were dynamic and entertaining. The food was delicious and we could not believe how our meal was on point (Kudos to the Chef). The prices for the food, drinks and admission were a non issue and were published on the website and in the menu. My wife will be back for R and R @ Chayz Lounge because Chayz Lounge is our secret getaway place. 😊😁 I am working on our next visit. Thanks for an excellent relaxing estand joyful evening.

This is my husband's birthday weekend, we wanted to go somewhere that had great vibes, unique and cozy plus we love jazz. This was the perfect spot. Felt like we were in one of our relatives livingroom with guest. Excellent environment. The staff and owner made you feel welcome and safely socially distancing. We came last evening for the first time traveling from Charlestin. SC to celebrate my husband's Birthday. We loved the atmosphere. The entertainment for the evening was amazing! We loved the variety of songs and appreciated the band taking the time to acknowledge and sing Happy Birthday to all celebrating in the room. The food was tasty we enjoyed all of the selections chosen. The deviled eggs are especially wonderful. My only complaint was that the drinks were costly for the amount poured. I'm specifically speaking of the wine and single shots. We paid $18 dollars for 2 shots of "house" tequila and the shot glasses were short. I feel the same way about the wine portions. $ 8 for 4 oz. Of of wine, should be 4 ounces. I used to be a bartender and so I speak from experience. Drinks are expensive and if customers should get what they pay for. Over all, we had a wonderful evening and will surely be returning in the future.

This was my first time at the new location, and I loved everything about my experience! From being greated at the door, to being seating, everthing was was flawless. Really enjoyed our waitress "Little Chay". Drinks were great, my Braised Short Ribs were perfect. The band had everyone clapping, singing and dancing. Nothing better to end the night then with chocolate cake and a nice hot cup of java. Will definitely be back soon. So worth the drive from northeast Columbia. My husband and I celebrated our 1 year Anniversary today at Chayz Lounge, we were greeted by your beautiful hostess immediately after walking in. She was super sweet and very welcoming. Our waitress was very sweet and checked on us often with a smile. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious , the music was amazing. We were pleasantly Surprised that the owner walked to our table and greeted us and asked if everything was ok…you rarely, if at all, get that at any establishment anymore. Let me start by saying that everything about this place was AMAZING!! Lastnight was date night for my boyfriend and I and we came to watch live music from Paul Dozier and his band. Mr. Dozier and the band were PHENOMENAL!! We truly truly enjoyed ourselves! The atmosphere was intimate. The staff was very friendly. The drinks were really good as well. I definitely see myself making this a routine spot when we officially move here to Columbia! You have a fabulous establishment Ms. Chay!!

Very cozy atmosphere. (small crowd) Friday night live music and freshly cooked food. A great place for date night. Gracious hostess/owner and a courteous staff. Doors opened at 7pm and the band started at 8pm. (Jazz, R&B, Pop tunes) Reserved seating, temperature checked and social distancing observed. Arrived early and parked next to the building. Patrons traveled from different states to enjoy this spot. I do recommend and will return.

This was my first time going. I really enjoyed myself. The food was great. Great selections if you are a vegetarian like myself. The music was amazing. Saw Darius Starks which was incredible. I will definitely be coming back to this establishment. Watch out for the drinks they are tasty and will sneak up on you.

Had the best time in a really long time. The "Charles Page Trio" performed and they were awesome...played all the latest tunes as well as some oldies...the owner, Chayz Alexander, was a gracious host...she greeted everyone like she was really glad to see you. Perfect atmosphere for grown folk music...they are very social distance conscience which helped to ease my concerns ie: temp checks, sanitizer, etc...They serve small plate dishes but everything we ordered was delicious ie: flatbread pizza, meatballs, spinach dip w/pita bread. Will definitely return real soon.

A must see. This lounge is cozy and "chill". Fun for a date or even your ladies night out. I've seen a few different bands and they have all sounded good and made the crowd have fun. You can dance near your seat or just sit back and listen. Eat and drink while being entertained. Great atmosphere. Go check them out. Make your reservation! It is worth it!

It was such a great first time experience! Food was good drinks a little weak for my liking but the presentation was VERY nice! It had a cozy rustic feel with wooden beams exposed. Warm colors soft seating. Service was on point so was the entertainment. I thoroughly enjoyed myself! We traveled approximately 1.5 hours to visit this lounge and wasn't disappointed. The food was delicious. The drinks were magnificent. Lastly, the band was fiyah! It's a bit small inside, but very cozy. Don't confuse small with a lack of space. Everyone was spaced out adequately. Restrooms were ok. Needed a tad bit of attention, but you can't clean behind every patron. There's also a private patio. I will definitely visit again. Maybe tonight

We attended the show last night and enjoyed the experience. We loved the small venue and the decorations. The singer- The Big Bopper and his band did an awesome job The Calvin Edwards Trio. Last time I went, we saw the Jamie Wright band! They were spectacular! Can't wait to see them again! Chayz Lounge is the ultimate experience for mature music lovers of jazz and R&B. I would, however, suggest eating before you come. The selection at Nonnah's is nothing to write home about, the portions are really small, and ridiculously expensive for what you get.
