Amazing fresh and flavorful foods! The menu is adjusted seasonally. My friend & I split 5 family style dishes during their Supper Club hours (M-F 4:30-6:00pm) which is only $29 per person before tax and tip! Prices are super reasonable outside of the deal window as well. Great for all ages and tastes. Try to sit on the patio if possible. Brunch is worth checking out too.

LOVED my first experience at the Warbler! The decor, ambiance, service, food presentation, and flavors were all incredible. We ordered the arugula salad to split as an appetizer...so good. The lemon vinaigrette was perfect. I then ordered the grilled tofu. I'm not even vegetarian but the flavors seemed too good to pass up. I feel like I'm writing a love letter lol...but it was unlike anything I've ever had before! All senses were engaged – beautiful to look at, complex flavors, amazing textures. So impressed, and I'll be dragging my vegetarian friend back there immediately to try this tofu. We also got the brown butter cake for dessert and I was sad when it was over. It's not very often I feel especially blown away by a meal, but this was unlike anything I've had in awhile. Definitely coming back asap!

I had the cream of mushroom soup which was excellent and my husband had the salmon which was also very good. My friend had pasta which she enjoyed. The restaurant has a nice modern decor and friendly staff. The prices were very reasonable. It’s favored by the locals.

Great lunch spot in Lincoln Square for casual yet elevated fare. My go-to is the short rib sandwich, which has super tender beef. The salads are also crisp and bright, you can add a half portion to your meal for $6. The patio is lovely to sit on if you can snag a spot.

This review is long overdue. I’ve been enjoying Warbler for years! Their supper club special is the best deal in the city, by far. I recently enjoyed a meal with my husband and mom. The butternut squash falafel is incredible! I always have to get the cauliflower - it’s crunchy, tangy, savory - it’s everything. The mushroom flatbread and salmon were also delicious. Do yourself a favor and get the skillet cookie for dessert!

Fresh and refreshing cocktails. The mushroom pasta with browned butter was spectacular. The tofu entree was cooked to a great texture but the sauce was lacking flavor. We also got the vanilla ice cream and chocolate chip cookie skillet for dessert which was the perfect way to end the meal!

My partner and I stopped by The Warbler looking for a lunch spot in Lincoln Square. Low and behold we drive past a very cute outdoor patio. On what turned out to be an early fall cool day we opted to sit at the bar which has really cool interior design/ambiance. We ordered from the friendly staff and got the boneless chicken app, Cubano and chicken salad sandwiches. The boneless chicken sauce was sweet/tangy deliciousness maybe a bit crispy for my liking but not dry. The cubano was 🔥 (fire) very good and a little horseradish heavy but f-Ing amazing. Chicken salad sandwich was standard. Whole staff was on point. Totally recommend! Next time, we are hitting up the patio!

This is the only picture I took, the mushroom soup. The food was so wonderful, I didn't care about a pic and wanted to dig in instead. Ordered the Korean style wings and the generous size and portion was enough for two. We shared a sandwich and we were extremely satisfied. This place is a vibe. It is affordable, has attentive staff, and delicious food.

Remarkable service, on par with Michelin starred restaurant in terms of their staff providing an exceptional experience. Tremendous flatbreads, but you can’t miss with anything on the menu. Wash it down with any of their cocktails (tried em all… no shame, all awesome). Strong recommendation and this will be in our rotation of Lincoln Square spots for the foreseeable future.

Had a great experience overall at the restaurant. Ordered two cocktails to start off. Both were good, slightly higher on the alcohol content, but no complaints there. We ordered a veggie flatbread for appetizers and the corn pasta and tofu for entrées. Both were exceptionally good, fantastic balance of flavors, and great presentation. Service started out on the slower side with the drinks but all our other items came out pretty quickly. The outdoor patio is great, as always since the weather is good, everyone prefers to sit outside and it can get a little noisy outside, but nothing too loud or uncomfortable. Several vegetarian options as well on the menu. Would definitely put this on my recommended list of restaurants in the Chicago area.

The "SUPPER CLUB Join us from 4:30-6:00pm Monday-Friday for a family-style supper club! For $27/person, your table can choose a selection of five dishes from our regular dinner offering including one salad, any two appetizers, vegetable dishes or house made pastas and your favorite flatbread. Finish with any one of our decadent desserts - choose your favorite! The culinary team will portion the dishes based on the number of guests in your party to ensure that all get enough to eat. With a menu friendly enough for children, but elevated so that the adults will truly enjoy it too, our weekday Supper Club is perfect for all. Kids nine and under are complimentary! Unfortunately, Supper Club is not available for Carry Out." is an amazing concept, and let's you try a lot of the menu. I've personally had most of the vegetarian options on the menu. I'm slacking on the pastas, But I know I'll get to them lol. The broccoli is phenomenal! The falafels are wonderful! The veggie flatbread is next level delicious 😋! The tofu dish is amazing! The green beans are amazing! The creme de la creme, for me personally though, is the mushroom soup chef's 😘!!! The staff is so very accommodating and wonderful, and I love that they have some tables where you can see into the open kitchen, where the chefs make the most delicious beautiful food!!!

I'm going back to this place as fast as humanly possible!! Food so good you would think Ratatouille made it under a chefs hat. Had several of their cocktails that didn't break the bank. They were packed so make reservations in advance. Worth it!!!

Wonderful dinner experience! Very classy interior with a creative menu full of flavorful, original dishes. Our server was excellent, stopping by at just the right times. The squash salad was delicious with a unique mix of flavors and textures incorporating croutons, mint, mango and squash, among other ingredients. The cocktails were also quality, cutely named according to the restaurant bird theme. The only negative was that the heating on the covered outdoor patio was uncomfortably strong.

Tried this place because we couldn’t get a table at Gather, but so happy we ended up here! Such a great bar, loved the ambiance and set up inside. Had great drinks and wine and the most delicious pasta I’ve ever had. I got the spaghetti which was perfectly Al dente and included pickled fennel which was incredible. The tempura ribs were also delicious and my partner got the burger which was huge and so so good. Very reasonable prices for the quality and amount of food. Can’t wait to return, it’s a perfect upscale casual spot for drinks or a full meal.

The Tofu dish was great, You could taste the grill on it. On a bed of spinach, sticky grilled rice and edamame. great soy sauce sauce and a garlic chili glaze for the tofu. Great, light, goes well with the Spanish white wine from Galicia 12 glass 48 bottle.

Great! Nothing less than great! We a dinner party of 5 the other night and I was looking forward to it as I've never been here before. We started off with some nachos which were tasty indeed! Then I had 2 of their Purple Martin drinks consisting of Rye Whiskey, Allspice Dram, Lemon-Basil, Fresh Orange, Lime and Beet Juice. Fusilli which included Shrimp, Garlic Cream Sauce, Sautéed Spinach, Fresh Garlic and Herbed Breadcrumbs. Fresh and tasty as they make their own pasta in house! The service was amazing and the ambiance was cool. Parking is available along Lincoln and their is a lot next door as well. I can't wait to head back!

I can't say enough good things about The Warbler! The food is unbelievably fresh and flavorful, with so many veggie-forward and vegetarian options. The cocktails are creative and delicious, with mocktail options for those who don't want alcohol. Their dessert! Seasonal, fresh, unbelievably delicious. All with reasonable prices, friendly, relatable and helpful staff. It is a new neighborhood favorite and we plan to be back regularly!

In a city known for its restaurant scene, The Warbler may be our most frequented and favorite in the city. Come in for a cozy yet elevated neighborhood vibe perfect for a date night or group dinner. Pick from any of their tasty cocktails or have the talented bartenders whip you up a new creation. Our must haves on the menu: Tuscan Kale salad, Crispy Cauliflower, Burger. Honorable mentions (very close seconds): Chicken wings, Mushroom soup, Chicken Sausage Flatbread. For dessert, you can't go wrong with the skillet cookie or the carrot cake!

Fantastic, finally got to go check out this place and it met all the high expectations I had. Every dish was great as were the cocktails. Recommend the tempura ribs and charred broccoli the most. Definitely will be going back!

The menu had enough options that we could all find something we liked. Flavors were good and the food was fresh. Portion sizes were good and the service was also good. Restaurant got a bit loud and it became difficult to hear each other, that was our only big complaint. Despite how loud it was, we'll go back again.

Have been here a few times for lunch and dinner and it had consistently been fantastic! Staff is very friendly, inside and outside seating are both very chic and the food has always been on point. We’ve had sandwiches, many apps, entrees and flat breads. Need to try the pasta as they look delish! Price is very reasonable as a bonus.

This is great restaurant with tons of rotating items and drinks. The atmosphere is very hip and modern. I remember taking a couple friends here and at first they were concerned with the portions. But after tasting their dishes they realized how great the food was. If you haven't been give this place a try, they're worth it!

This place has great food, a must-go if you're looking for good dining in Lincoln Square, cool bar area and spacious outdoor patio, and the service was attentive too. Great food and drinks. We had the burger and the fusilli. The burger is two thin burgers with all of the condiments and greenery. It is cooked and seasoned well and not greasy at all. The fries are SO good. The fusilli is cooked nicely and tastes good. The drinks were made well and they have a big selection. The cookie skillet for dessert was good. Their covid dining situation is perfect. Heated tent with one side open so there is airflow. Nice experience overall.

Really liked the crispy artichokes and the fusili pasta with shrimp. Pear salad was pretty good. I'd skip the crispy cauliflower; it was over salted. Carrot cake is not traditional as in no cream cheese frosting which was a tiny let down.

Yesterday was the 2nd time I went to dinner at the Warbler with my girlfriend, and as before, we had a lovely evening filled with tasty cocktails and delicious foods. Their Grilled Asparagus and Butternut squash falafel are so yummy, and thankfully vegetarian options. My girlfriend enjoyed their flatbread and salmon. I would come back again for sure!

This is quite possibly my favorite restaurant in Chicago. I'll go every time now to get the burger. The cauliflower bites are absolutely insanely good. If I had to describe the burger it's a professional gastropub take on a big Mac. It puts au Chevelle's burger to shame. I would happily spend $3,000 a year dining here. The staff are very very nice and provide very very good service. Also the golden macaw drink is incredible. If you like pineapple juice and you like rum then this is the drink for you.

1st time visit for us. We did the Early Bird Special.. we picked the peach caprese salad, the cauliflower veg, a mushroom pasta, and the steak flat bread pizza with the peanut butter brownie and banana gelato dessert. Our friend joined us and ordered the chicken and sausage flat bread pizza. Everything was really good and I will definitely be back! Service was awesome (we had Kat) and we sat on their heated patio (I got a bit chilly because my seat didn't seem to be under the heat) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As usual the food and the service were on par. Since we are living in the age of COVID-19 they do a great job of social distancing, mask and glove wear and cleaning. The menu seemed limited, but we definitely found things items that ignited our taste buds and filled our bellies.

We got a chance to preview the food and the cocktail menu. The team that also runs Gather next door does not disappoint! We were able to sample most of the cocktails - Kookaburra and Bird’s Nest were our favorites with the Purple Martin getting creativity points! - and small selection of their food - the nachos were incredible with the grilled sausage being a fun take on Lincoln Square’s German influence. The flatbreads were good and we were told the size that is pictured is the size that is served. Overall looks like a great addition to Lincoln Square with more of a casual energy than Gather!

The Warbler is Gather's sister restaurant so it has a high bar to live up to. Thankfully, it does, with flying colors. The dinner club special before 6pm is worthwhile and the children's menu has young kid classics like chicken tenders, noodles (butter or marinara), pizza, and salmon. These come with good fruits or veggies and a cookie or ice cream. So, if you're a stereotypical family with kids in the Lincoln Square area, check it out. The adult meals and drinks are superb, too. The service is also great.

Very, very nice place in all ways except maybe one (will get to that). First off, easy to get to and easy to park if you're driving. Nice space with extremely nice folks staffing it. We sat facing the kitchen and it was clear that the work was serious but not angry. And the food that came out was excellent. 4/5 of us got pasta dishes, with the oddball doing a "soup & appetizer" thing. However, everyone at the table agreed that the standouts for the meal were the plates for the group that we got first (salt cod & bread, two vegetables) which sold the meal on their own. But that missing star needs explaining. To be fair, I'm older and so maybe I shouldn't go to these "casual hip" places that intentionally and reasonably are shooting for a younger crowd. I like friendly places with good food though so I will keep going back. The sound level though, well it bordered on "painful", enough that one of us had to go out onto the street just to get away from it for a bit (conversation suffered too). Not talking about the music, which was barely audible, but rather the din of people just having a good time. Additional sound dampening would go against the vibe that (I imagine anyway) they are going for so it would be unreasonable to expect, but I can wish. We will go back, I'm almost positive, but I expect we will wait for a table on the patio (which looked very chill) next time. And so an easy solid 4 stars, with a nod towards 5 if you can deal with the sonic assault.

I met a friend here late one afternoon. It was well past lunch and there was only a few people here. The service was topnotch and I don't know how it is when it's crowded. I do plan on coming back because the food was excellent. I had tofu and crunchy noodles and my friend got a burger. We were both super happy with our choices. The design of the restaurant is relaxing and calm. I definitely recommend the Warbler. PS came back today with a couple of friends at lunchtime. Even with a crowd the service was still topnotch. I had the butternut squash falafel which was delicious! We'll be back again and again!

Been here for dinner before and it was lovely (someone paid for me). Lunch/brunch was also good with a few issues: no baby changing table in the bathrooms, no vegetarian burger patty alternatives. The server accommodated some other meal customizations, which was great. Not a cheap place but good food and we found an entree + salad to be shareable by 2 people. I’d go again if I was feeling like I had some spare change and if I didn’t have children with me.

I’m so torn about the Warbler. Pros: - Such a good menu, genuinely something for everyone and a ton of good veggie forward items - Everything we had was delicious Cons - Our server forgot to ring up one of our groups entrees, so it came 20 minutes later when the group had already completed eating. We were still charged full price for it. - We really wanted a second (or even third) round of drinks, but weren’t asked at any point of time or given the opportunity There’s a lot of good food in this city, Warbler’s service makes it hard to prioritize going back over one of the other dozen restaurants that have cracked the code on both food and service.

I'll give it 5 because of London the waitress. She rocks. Food was good. I was visiting my daughter and London gave us the opportunity to sit and have conversation. I've been in the food industry and table turnover is important, so we stayed maybe 10 minutes after we we were given the bill, but were still respectful of taking up a table, but never felt rushed to get out. So the experience was worth it!

The Warbler is my go-to neighborhood "fancier" place. The food is phenomenal (cannot recommend the Hawaiian flatbread enough!!) and the cocktails are very fun. The atmosphere is cozy, yet upscale enough where it feels like a treat. Everyone here is always very nice and attentive. Highly recommend making a reservation beforehand, especially if you have a bigger group.

The service was excellent. I had a mac n cheese plate and it was not that good. The carrot cake dessert was real good. Chicken wing appetizers were delicious. Clean bathrooms.

Lovely place, good service - we enjoyed everything that came to the table...the mussels, pasta, salad, dessert. We sat in the back as the indoor seating was pretty loud at dinner time. The only thing that was somewhat uncomfortable was how much they had the heat lamps cranked up (every surface was hot to the touch). Not the hugest deal, but they can’t turn just one lamp down, so be prepared to strip down!

At first, I had a hard time with this place. Not because the menu was a simple page, but because the menu was a plethora of foods on it that I needed to stuff my face with. Thankfully, I was with a group that was all about sampling and sharing. So much food was had that I’ve forgotten everything we ordered, save for a few items: the curry flatbread, the corn farrotto, and the carrot cake. All three were quite the delight, and I can’t wait to get back over for more. This is a great joint in the old Bad Dog spot.

Was surprised that they didn't have much to set themselves apart from other restaurants in the area. However, great vibe and friendly staff. Warm cozy place. Booths opposite the kitchen are great. Let's on the menu. Flatbed, pasta, interesting prepared vegtables, salads, burger, salmon. Really something for everyone. And big menu of cocktails. There's Street parking and pay public lot right next door.

This restaurant has recently just opened and I'm so glad it did. It was styled beautifully. Love the different tiles, the bar, the lights, the separate sections. It is really a beautiful restaurant. I'm glad the food held up. The space is pretty large and there is a ton of seating, but if you have a group larger than 5, there might be issues (unless the last back section has larger tables? that I might have missed). The lighting is dim, but not dark. Good music and the whole place has a good feeling. The food is great as well. I might say that the food wasnt as good as Gather next door (please note they are owned by the the same owner), but maybe its jut first few month jitters. I'm sure their flavors will be spot on soon, because it was already so close to perfection. The pasta comes in nice sizes, not overblown amounts and the texture was perfectly al dente (though one from the two we got was overly salty). The salads were very flavorful, the cocktails were nice and liquor filled; no watered down nonsense. The desserts were on the larger side so maybe share. All in all a great addition to the neighborhood. Great for dates. Looking forward to coming here again soon.

Cozy, modern interior + lively atmosphere, but not distracting. Staff is attentive and know the menu. We ate at a table, but may opt for the bar next time — very well made part of the restaurant. Food was upscale casual. Smaller portions between vegetables and pasta, but still shareable. Burger was very good, though rich and can be a bit much for one person. Would recommend sharing.

I've been to The Warbler a good few times for everything to a couple drinks with friends to dinner with family. They've never disappointed. Beautiful and comfortable, designed to appeal to all the senses. Includes a wonderful bar area as well. Menu items are what you might find in places comparable to this but with absolutely fresh ingredients and slight twist on the flavor and preparation. Go there for dinner or just appetizers. Definitely a place to experience with friends or for a date.

What a great dining experience. The food was outstanding -- creative and interesting but not over the top -- and our waitress was really good. The cocktails and drink selection also deserve a mention. We had a great time and will definitely go back.

Was a little questionable about this place but it turned out to be a hidden gem that everyone else knew about apparently. Went on a Tuesday night and it was packed. It had some interesting options; tapas, small plates, pasta, flatbread pizza, salads and entrees like pork and Chicken, but also a burger. I had the burger, and I have to say, one of the best burgers I've had. Dimly lit, cozy, great place for a date. Dinner for two, appetizer, bottle of wine and dessert will be around $100. Great service, with an open air kitchen.

Good menu options, lovely staff, cozy booth seating. I went with my grandma and shared a mushroom soup, the fried cauliflower, and a Cubano, and it was all extremely flavorful and bright tasting. The textures were all excellent, and the plating was so thoughtful and really elevated the food. Yum yum yum. Can't wait to get drinks at their gorgeous bar.

The food at the Warbler is amazing. We ate the supper club and each dish was great. It's a great combination of family friendly, yet thoughtful, savory, food. Perhaps the best flatbread I've ever had. Crispy cauliflower had amazing textures and was extremely tasty. Pasta was very rich and fulfilling. The reason I can't give 5 stars was the outdoor expanded dining was incredibly hot. Our table was directly in the middle of the space, directly under the middle heat lamp. We were sweating when eating. When we notified the service how hot we were the response was not taken seriously - the temperature difference was negligible after notifying. Adding insult to injury, our water glasses were often empty as we drank so much water and didn't refill out waters very often. We almost were not able to make it through the whole dinner and contemplated walking out and paying for / cutting out losses in order to cool down. With all this said, incredible food, but be careful eating on the outdoor dining area with heating lamps in cold weather. We personally cannot do it again and I would challenge management to sit under it for 2 hours themselves. Which is a shame considering how great the food is cooked in the kitchen.

24 hours later and I can't stop thinking about that cheeseburger! Honestly, the best cheeseburger I've ever had. A smashburger with the perfect toppings. The fries were super crispy and delicious. Wow. I knew this place was going to be good but I didn’t know it was going to be exceptional. Tried to book a last minute res on a Friday night but they were already fully booked. Their menu looked so good that we decided to take a chance and walk in anyway. The Maître ‘D was very kind and welcoming and was able to seat us on the patio right away. Seems like they hold back tables for walk-ins which is very smart for a neighborhood like Lincoln Square. The ambiance was perfect outside. Whoever designed this restaurant has a very sharp eye for contemporary modern aesthetic with a playful nod to their bird-centric concept. Onto the food & drinks! We started out with a couple whiskey cocktails, trying the Purple Martin and The Regal Eagle. Both were a little sweet for my taste but grew on me once our food arrived. My bf and I are both vegetarian and were excited to see so many enticing veg-friendly dishes. The Roasted Carrots: never have I had more perfectly cooked carrots in my life. This is a very beautiful, generous dish that toes the line between comfort food (with the perfectly fried onion rings) and fine dining (with the celery root purée). The Arugula Salad: light and herbaceous greens on a bed of creamy whipped ricotta. Punctuated by halved olives and a satisfying crunch of pickled fennel. Perfect size too! The Grilled Tofu: Wow. This was the showstopper. The tofu “filet” was cooked to absolute perfection; crisp on the outside, juicy on the inside and a nice char from the grill. The sautéed spinach melted in your mouth and the miso purée was an umami dream. Overall, a harmonious explosion of flavors and textures! I highly recommend this to veg and non-veg folks alike. Everything we tried was a total hit and worth every penny! The attention to detail and depth of flavor for each dish was impressive. We can’t wait to go back!

The supper club is worth it! Get the Korean wings and feast. Loved all the cocktails, especially the one with mezcal. The hosts were incredibly accommodating for a walk-in party of four last Friday evening. They found space on the heated patio for us and even served us drinks on the unheated patio while we were waiting for the table. Our server was also fantastic. She was on top of it with drinks, really friendly and made great recommendations! We shared a large variety of dishes and everything was spot on! The Tuscan kale salad, mushroom agnolotti and sweet potato falafel were delicious. We will definitely be returning and recommending this place.

Recently went with my family and decided to get 1 round of cocktails and split a bottle of wine, and then go family style for the food because we couldn't decide on one thing each that sounded good. We started with the chicken wings and crispy cauliflower. I had the Rose Bill for a drink and it was delicious, light, crisp and just boozy enough- amazing. Flavors were phenomenal. Then we split the Tuscan Kale Salad, The Salmon, The Gnocchi and the Brown Buttered pasta. All of them were perfectly prepared, each flavor stood out from the next. Fantastic. I am local now and plan to return again.

A great patio experience. Shout out to Ryan for accommodating our group's last min reservation with a nice table outdoor under a shady tree. The food here is very good, true American style. The staff and waitress were all very nice. I came here for brunch with friends, there were 4 of us. One of our friends is vegetarian and we wanted to go somewhere with good options for her as well. We started off sharing the crispy cauliflower appetizer and drinks. They have an extensive drinks list ranging from cocktails, non alcoholic refreshers (that you could add alcohol to), draft beers, and canned drinks. The one thing to note is that despite a full service bar and being open for brunch, they do not have bloody Marys. The waitress suggested The Robin, a tequila based cocktail and I had that instead. It was nice, a bit sweet and highlighted with a basil taste. My friends had a cherry limeade refresher and also a hard kombucha in a can. They had an extensive list of cocktails I considered ordering but wanted to refrain in this instance. I was feeling hungover so I opted for the burger and fries. Great choice. More of a diner style burger with two patties and melted cheese between, it was cooked perfectly. Nice and juicy. It came with the option of fries, homemade chips, or salad. I went with fries and I ate every single morsel of food on my plate, including the homemade pickles. Another friend had the short rib sandwich. It came on focaccia bread which while good was very thick. She ended up eating it more as a "open faced sandwhich". Our vegetarian friend opted for a crispy tofu dish. All were pleased with our choices. For dessert we excitedly had to go for the cookie skillet. It was soooo good with ice cream on top. The perfect ending to a Sunday brunch. Other things to note are that inside it is an open kitchen, meaning you can see into the kitchen as they prepare food. Additionally, there is a large parking lot next to the restaurant. It is timed pay street parking by the city but is free on Sundays. If you're driving, it's nice to know there is ease of street parking onsite. This wasn't my first time there, will definitely go back.

Went here on a date night with my gf. The service was great, decor is very thoughtfully put together. we had the ribs as an appetizer. They were ok. I had a barbacoa flat bread, and my gf had the falafel. Everything came with pickled vegetables which were not good. If you like vinegary taste it may appeal to you but wasn’t my kind of food.

The food was AMAZING! I ordered the vegetable flatbread. Potato chip crisps, drizzled balsamic, tiny potato squares, sturdy, crispy flatbread, tender tomatoes... a pleasure of tastes and textures! Vegan and delicious. My friend ordered the shrimp fusilli. This was cooked so well! Creamy & delicious. The shrimp were large tender & flavorful. When we arrived they had available seating by the window, which provided a great view of people passing by. Not everybody realized that we were sitting right there and got a little close, but it was still fun to people watch and eat and talk and feel the breeze and the ambiance of the street and the bar at the restaurant behind us. The service was attentive & friendly without being overwhelming and interruptive. The staff were great and added such wonderful interaction to the overall experience. The food, incredible! This experience was such a delight! This was a relaxed and joyful eating experience.

The Warbler, and the sister restaurant the Gather are hands down the best restaurants in Chicago right now. They should have a Michelin star. I know they're not going for that but the food is amazing. They do vegetables very well, you can get vegan without bending over backwards on the food choices, and as an omnivore it's fantastic. The service is best, they get consistently amazing people to work there. Finally, especially during covid the ambiance is safe and very comfortable. Lots of outdoor space, very good spacing and they manage to make it feel naturally great without having you think about what's going on you feel safe, comfortable and cool. Highly highly recommended and it won't break the bank.

The food and cocktails were amazing. We showed up without reservations on a Saturday night at 7:00. Poor planning, I know. There was a two and a half hour wait for a table, but the bar was only about 20 minutes. We said we’d sit at the bar and as soon as we walked up to order a drink, two spots opened up. We were seated at a cozy spot at the end of the bar immediately. The food was great. My husband got the burger and claims it’s one of the best he’s ever had. Top tier. I had a bite and I have to agree. The fries were great too. I had the Mushroom Agnolotti which was delicious, but not a ton of food. I would have been hungry if we hadn’t also ordered the crab and papaya salad (also very good). The cocktails were great and the servers were super nice. The host made us feel right at home as soon as we walked in. We will definitely be back.

I first went here at the suggestion of a friend who is a vegetarian. We ended up doing the Supper Club which is offered from opening until 6pm. It's a great deal for 5 courses, portioned to share. It's a great way to try a lot of menu items, which we did. Veggie dishes are delicious, even if you're not a vegetarian. Steamed mussels are standard, but good. The flatbread options are good. In a few dishes there were little bits of basically nut brittle, that were surprisingly good. Focus here is on locally sourced ingredients, and the touches of nut butters and other somewhat unconventional ingredients are all really delicious. I've been back a few times, so I can confidently say that service is consistently great. Staff is casual, but attentive. No specific type of crowd here, but in the earlier hours there are a few familes with kids. I wouldn't consider this a family place at night. There's a huge outdoor area that is heated and covered on cooler evenings. In addition to wine and cocktail options, they offer really refreshing non-alcoholic drinks made with fresh herbs and juices. Desserts are big, so save room and plan to share.

Loved this place. Not so expensive that it breaks the bank, but the food tastes and looks as though it could cost nearly double what it does. Moderate portion sizes were marginally larger than what I expected. Be warned, however, that this place gets busy (understandably); the popularity does bring noise with it. Definitely make reservations if you plan to go on a weekend or holiday. The atmosphere and design of the restaurant, though, made up for the small annoyance of the crowd. It was very chic and modern, and the open air kitchen was interesting to see in action. To top it off, the waitstaff were exceedingly kind and not in a hurry to get us out despite it being seemingly a full house. They cemented the restaurant at a 5-star rating in my eyes. Thank you for an excellent dinner, Warbler.

I was here visiting from out of town-my first time to Chicago-I was impressed by how safe this place was during COVID-19. They did everything right. The place was clean, food was superb and the staff was extremely attentive and kind. I had the burger-which was huge and I could not finish-it was that big. Great drinks, good food. The hostess and greeting was off putting. I told the hostess I was interested in a table for 2 and my partner was about to arrive. She said she couldn't seat me until the whole party was here, which I understood. I sat at the bar and waited less than 5 minutes. When my partner arrived I found the hostess again and then she told me there were no tables available. Why wouldn't she be up front about it to begin with?! It was a very strange and uncomfortable interaction. We decided to stay and ate at the bar. The bar tenders were great, excellent service. And our food was very good. I'll be back on a sunny day to use the patio and maybe avoid that hostess.

Really cool cocktail menu. They also do a good job with specific cocktail requests. I think the food menu is a bit limited for how often I go but it's great food. The menu has plenty to explore for your first three dinners there. The outdoor space is pretty nice in the summer - really great place to catch a pre-dinner drink at the outdoor bar if you have reservations somewhere else.

As you can see I have been here many times mostly for their early bird supper club dinner for only $25. Their family-style supper club is available 4:30-6:00pm Monday-Friday. Our table can choose a selection of five dishes from their regular dinner offering including one salad, any two appetizers, vegetable dishes or house made pastas and their favorite flatbread. Their menu is friendly enough for children, but elevated so that the adults will truly enjoy it too. Kids nine and under are complimentary!

We specifically came for that pizza and we had the barbacoa pizza with pickled carrots (it doesn't list pickled carrots as an ingredient on the menu.) Anyway, not a fan at all. Great dining experience - the place has great vibes and decor. Went on a Saturday night and it was full for our 9pm reso. Service was attentive and helpful - kudos to the front of the house. Food was delicious, lots of umami flavors across the menu - the cauliflower app was fantastic, pork belly nachos and mushroom agnolotti were standouts as well among a number of other really good dishes. Wine list was somewhat uninspired, and the only thing I would consider a knock against it, but not so much to give it anything less than 5 stars. Don't miss this great restaurant!

As you can see I have been here many times mostly for their early bird supper club dinner for only $25. Their family-style supper club is available 4:30-6:00pm Monday-Friday. Our table can choose a selection of five dishes from their regular dinner offering including one salad, any two appetizers, vegetable dishes or house made pastas and their favorite flatbread. Their menu is friendly enough for children, but elevated so that the adults will truly enjoy it too. Kids nine and under are complimentary! We had a 5:30pm dinner reservation. The four of us had a nice center table. I started with my usual purple martin for $11. We always enjoy our shared our arugula salad with whipped ricotta, pickled fennel, marinated olives, lemon vinaigrette, roasted walnuts and herbed croutons. We also always enjoy their Korean style chicken wings with tamari glaze and sesame seeds. We also enjoyed our English pea risotto with mascarpone, spring garlic and parmesan crisp. I also enjoyed my second purple martin and my robin also for $11. Our food only cost $100, but the rest were our cocktails and wine. My total bill less gratuities was $246. Our server Brittnay accommodated our table nicely. We will continue to return here for their early bird dinner and try to drink less.

okay so I am here right now.... resturaunt just opened back up due to covid. what I do not understand is how they can allow people whom are late to there reservations show up late and take them to their seats above people whose are early and are time... they made us stand outside on the cold for 15 mins and allowed another couple whom was 30 mins late to their reservation come right in and be seated prior to us whom were on time!! the really short brown hair woman in the front was extremely rude about it. okay I was early to my reservation.... I am also a paying customer supported your business our server is so far so good and super attending get the sausage flat bread and rose bill ps. the woman from the front erin did come and apologise to us which was very considerate. tha k you for taking the time to address any issues that we had as for standing in the cold and feeling like seconds. -review amended.

As part Lincoln Square's young family prone neighborhood, they offer a great special from from 4-6, but also offers an equally intimate atmosphere if you arrive for a later dinner.

The only reason this isn't 5 stars is that I HATE to rate anything that highly. Well, and -- OK -- a GOOD reaso, even for a half-step down would be the awful high noise level. (That;s also the reason we don't partronize their other restaurant down the block, Gather). But our meal there this weekend with friends was extraordinary. First, the food was excellent. The mussels I had were as large and plump as any I've had, the dipping toast provided was generous, the excellent broth had everyone at the table dipping in. The dessert the four of us shared -- a (fried?) chocolate chip cookie in a frying pan with vanilla bean icecream was the best dessert I've had in years (chewy at the edges!) And the service was the best ever -- including once at a restaurant oveseas when a waiter stood nearby watching us and swooped in at my slightest need (That was a bit unnerving). At the Warbler we were greeted by a warm, personalble greeter, and served by two people, both of whom could help when we placed an order and (I think) helped in serving the food. The noice is a serious problem -- it's a roar!. This is odd, as they describe the restaurant as one for socializing. (and we were placed in a corner: usually the best location for hearing each other). Gather is quieter -- fewer people, more upscale dining. But also bare floors, and lots of voice spillover during our one visit. As for the Warbler, we'll look forward to outside dining! (I may do a more extensive food review the next time I visit).

Met two friends here on a Thursday after work for a couple of drinks each and a couple of shared plates. The cocktails - were preeeetty good, not spectacular, just 11 bucks but very small and 2/3rd full ‘tastings’ - 5 Star on a gin based drink with whipped egg whites and rosemary called ‘birds nest’, which we hadn’t actually ordered - we’d ordered a ‘rose finch’ and a ‘song bird’. The food items were VERY good, in particular a ponzu glazed cauliflower. I could not return to this place without getting that cauliflower again. Atmosphere was effortfully trendy with nondescript loungey dancy music playing. Water glasses filled by these silly two foot long chrome cylinder flasks at the table which was liiiil cheesy, and VERY noisy and hard to converse inside. Service interrupted mid sentence every time and definitely seemed to be trying to sell. But we’d definitely go back.

Ok, lets see here where do I start! Ehem! Big shout out to yelper, Salena for sharing a picture and recommendation of the cookie skillet because I just had to have it. It took me a few days to finally make it out due to work schedule, and this place being open in the evenings, but once I had the day off work best believe I made it out, and made it very early. I waited 30 minutes for this place to open, and it was well worth it. It felt weird being the first customer to walk in the door, but I tried to blank that uncomfortable feeling out, plus I came alone. Long story short, I ordered the cookie skillet, and dined in, but ordered the flatbread chicken sausage to go. I said "tha hell" with a workout because I knew after eating that cookie skillet it wasn't going to happen, plus ordering the flatbread chicken sausage didn't do any justice as well. In these situations, I live by the code of "YOLO" (You Only Live Once), so why not! A workout can wait, after I indulge to the finer things in life such as food, hehe. Anyway! Service was great; food was great, and yes, I plan to return yada yada yada because there are other desserts on the menu that I would love to try, plus the baked mussels, and mac n cheese looked really good. I definitely recommend! Enjoy!

We had the lunch menu. The highlight were cocktails that are slight deviations on classics but with great success. My personal favorite was the Robin which is a smokey mezcal version of the margarita. The falafel is also quite good. The roasted carrots appetizer was good and the mushroom soup was excellent. I have fairly high standards for a Cubano so i wasn't surprised when it was only ok. Service was very good. Outdoor seating was well ventilated. Pandemic protocols were well adhered to.
