The atmosphere is great! The staff are nice and the margaritas were fantastic. The food is good, but wished we could have pick hot, mild or medium green chili. Homemade chips salsa and bean dip to start with. The salsa has a strong tomato flavor, but was ok.

Food is amazing. I had the seafood burrito. A tortilla filled with shrimp, scallops and crab smothered in a sour cream sauce. The margarita was heavy on the tequila. No complaints with the food. The service was a little lackluster. I didn't feel our waitperson was attentive. Still I recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly.

The food was pretty decent compared to some other places in town and the atmosphere was awesome. My only complaint was the server. We told her that we needed a minute to decide before ordering, and she didn't come back for about 20 minutes. Every time she came anywhere near our table, it seemed that she avoided eye contact when we'd try to wave her down. I understand people get busy and can have off days, so I won't let this completely deter me from trying this place again. I just hope she has a better day next time.

Best Mexican Restaurant in all of Wyomming and Colorado! The food is truly authentic, unlike all the other places we have tried and that claim they are. We have eaten at this restaurant many times and were never disappointed. We also don't mind the 1 hour+ drive from our house to this Guadalajara since we know it will be worth it. Not only is their food excellent, but so is their service!

We drove up to have dinner from Northern Colorado since we can't sit in a restaurant currently and it was worth the short hour ride up. My wife and I had the steak and shrimp fajitas for two and it was so good! We loved it. The staff was very friendly with a great sense of humor that made us smile. We will be back for sure.

Sadly, hiding in the shadows of a Taco Bell, Guadalajara Mexican restaurant finally presented us with the chimichangas we've been looking for for 30 years. Starting with a salsa and bean dip on the table with the chips, a nice surprise. Had the chicken chimichanga. My wife has been looking for a chimichanga as good as her first for 30 years. Finally success! Also, I have been looking for a chimichanga good as Alex's restaurant (Deary Idaho, Pullman Washington, Santa Barbara California), and was pleasantly surprised to find one as good. Service was prompt and friendly, and the food was excellent. . Highly recommend stopping in here for dinner with your family.

To Keep customers coming back you treat them to great hospitality, service, interaction above and beyond just 'what'd you want ' Refried beans are an awesome change to simply salsa. Great chips to dip the beans and salsa to prepare the tongue for the mouth watering dishes that will not disappoint even the pickiest of Mexican food choices. Attention from beginning to the end and it really makes wanting to come back easier and worthwhile. Great prices and excellent taste.

I have loved this restaurant for over 10 years. So nice to see the same faces after all that time. The complimentary chips, salsa and bean dip is the best in town!! The portions are good sized with everything you order. Service is very friendly and attentive. Food come out hot everytime. My favorite bar drink they serve is the michelada... mmmm like a bomb red beer! Thanks for the excellent service and full bellys.

Normally a reliable family restaurant, the service was not up to the quality that we have come to expect. Our food was well prepared but it arrived barely warm and several minutes later than normal. Our drinks seemed to be diluted also. I hope this was only an off night and not a trend.

This is home. Sometimes I wander, usually over to Tres Amigos, but this will always be the door I step through if I need to be surrounded by everything I left behind to live in the cold north. Both Guadalajara restaurants in Cheyenne are very good. I do prefer the one on Lincolnway over the Del Range location mainly because of parking, but in terms of food, you can never go wrong at either one.

I had a takeout experience here recently and it went really well. I walked in and there was someone at the front to take my order right away and I got my food within 15 to 20 mins. I was impressed with how quick I got it. And the food was nice and fresh as well as tasted very good. I'll have to try to dine in here sometime but the takeout experience was awesome

As a Texan, I feel qualified to speak. This is the best Mexican food in Cheyenne that I have found so far, but it’s not Tex-Mex as much as West Texas style. Asado was cooked perfectly! Customer service was good.

The food here is great! The cleanup staff is quick and thorough. The waitstaff is aloof almost to the point that they make you feel like you're a burden. It was busy, but there wasn't a wait, and they weren't close to capacity. I didn't even dare ask for a refill. Its a shame because I drove 45 minutes out of my way to eat their fantastic food.

I've only been once in passing. That being said, the usual rice and beans that come with many Mexican dishes, this place has the best. I tried a bit of a burrito from there and it was amazing. I didn't care for my food, but that was due to me ordering something not my norm. Not 5 stars because I just would have liked more chips and salsa.

Cozy restaurant, delicious food, just really excellent. I like the chicken mole. (Which I can't finish because I overeat on salsa, bean dip, & chips which are fresh-fresh.) This is a family staple. Been around for years with great food, fast service and friendly folks. Been here this long for a reason. UPDATE: Had a disappointing night with this restaurant. The food still tastes good, but they changed their bean dip to be spicy (used to be my wife's favorite). But beyond that, when I ordered take out, they gave us the wrong order. Trusting them we took it home, then had to come all the way back. To boot they still got our order wrong, and we were offered nothing more than a "Sorry." for our troubles. This was one bad experience out of many good ones. I'd still recommend this as a good place to eat. But we won't be coming back for bit.

Food was good, but not great. Had chicken mole and sauce tasted like jar, not authentic. Chicken was a good size portion but tasted like it had been pre-cooked and dried out, not cooked in the sauce and tender. Salsas were great. House made spicy red salsa was fantastic as was the salsa Verde. They don't make any of their own tortillas, so that was a bit of a let down, but the service was excellent and they were doing a great job of continuously cleaning the public areas and spacing people for social distancing.

If you're looking for a delicious selection of authentic Mexican cuisine, with a variety of options, Guadalajara is perfect! We were passing through Cheyenne after a 2500 mile motorcycle ride and craving Mexican food. We ordered two different enchiladas, one which was smothered in a magnificent red sauce and the other plate smothered in a beautiful and delicious green sauce. The food was incredible! More importantly, the margaritas were strong! The place is gorgeous and the staff was super friendly. We'll be back on our next time through town!

Great food, service, and atmosphere. Tables were not used to create a socially distanced space. Staff wore masks. Food was delicious. I had a spicy shrimp meal that was plenty of food for two normal meals or a large meal for a growing boy. Will be back.

While taking a day trip to Cheyenne, my wife and I decided to have lunch at Guadalajara. The restaurant is right around the mall and in a good location. Right away, we were greeted and seated. Our waitress, Marlen, came over to us right and took our drink and app orders. For appetizer, we got the chicken quesadilla and it could have been an entree. Very big portion and very tasted. For entree, I got the Enchilada trio and it was very good. My wife got the Fiesta plate, which she also enjoyed and brought most of it home with us. I also have to mention that the chips and bean dip they gave us before the meals were also very good. Overall, if you are in Cheyenne, try out Guadalajara. Good food, good service and good prices.

Food was delicious. Service was friendly but not attentive (ate at around 3:00pm restaurant not very busy). Ran out of drinks, after about 10 minutes of waiting to see our server we got up and contacted the hostess, still no drinks. Got up again 5 minutes later to flag down another server (not ours) to finally get drinks after approximately 15-20 minutes. Hard to finish your meal without a drink.

I love Guadalajara! I haven't been in ages. We had a big group (8) and they served us quickly and attentively. The food seems to be tasty as well. I don't know that it's like the real thing, but for Americanized tasting food, it's good.

My wife and I eat here fairly frequently. If you don't eat all the chips, salsa and bean dip that is brought to you when you are seated, you may be able to finish your meal. If you want dessert, you may want to ask for a box for your meal. The portions are generous. Food is very good, and did I say the portions are generous?

I went there during the Friday lunch rush, so I can kind of understand why our server was a ghost most of the time. Regardless of that, the salsa and bean dip was very good. The chips are very delicious as well, and it was hard to stop eating them. I ordered the loco burrito and it was very good! It was a big sized burrito so I couldn't eat it all. Also had the cheesecake chimi. I was very happy with all the food that was ordered, and I will be returning.

Just picked this place from my GPS while approaching. I have to say its one of not so many good choices. Some of the best Mexican foods we've enjoyed. Excellent variety of choices and really good margaritas. Luis was our server and was wonderful. They were quite busy but still had his full attention. Even made a fresh pot of coffee and offered a large cup to go when he discovered we were traveling through. I'll stop here again when driving by.

I love this restaurant! From the beautiful decor to the excellent service to the simply scrumptious food, nothing has ever gone wrong here. I must say, I have always taken part of my meal home because the portions are monster big and I'm not, but I don't mind. The food is great as leftovers, too. The service deserves ten stars. The people who serve in this restaurant are the nicest, most pleasant, quiet people who have no desire to intrude but every desire to make each visitor's visit the best it can be. I can't say enough good about Guadalajara and I can't say anything negative either. It's wonderful!

Haven't had Mexican cuisine since leaving AZ a few yrs ago. Guadalajara more than met my expectations. We both ordered the Quesadilla Ranchera. It came with quesadilla wedges filled with cheese & in our case, chicken, topped with tomato, quacamole and sour cream with sides of refried beans and rice. Great menu choices and server was sheer perfection in his timing and service. All in all, great food, great service.

Wait staff was fantastic....not at the table constantly, but there when you needed them. Plus just so nice...even played with our kids a bit. Food is delicious! Really awesome food but service was horrible. We were seated by an 8 and 10 year old. Waiter took our orders then never stopped to check on us. We had to stop them to get drink refills. When we asked for our check we were told he would get us at the front, so we didn't even get to look at the bill before we had to pay. On top of that, coming out of the restaurant we were almost hit by an employee who was speeding through the parking lot not paying attention to what was around him.

My favorite Mexican place to eat in Cheyenne. Food is delicious and servings are pretty good sized, I've never left hungry. Free chips and salsa. A decent alcohol selection not the biggest around but good sized. Service is usually pretty professional but may be slower when there's a big party being waited on as well.

Food had a good taste but my shrimp was over cooked and way too chewy. Needs to be cleaned up a bit, saw lots of dust bunnies on the light fixtures above each table. Lastly, the bathroom was a disgusting there was vomit all over the toilet and floor. Probably not ever going to visit this place again.

Had my doubts about this place when the hostess with the nose ring didn't give one word of greeting and she seemed annoyed that she had to stop rolling silverware & take the time to seat us. Other than that, everything was GREAT. Shrimp & mushrooms off the appetizers menu: AMAZING. Carne asada: DELICIOUS. Wait staff was super friendly. We would definitely eat here again!!

Another great meal last night! My partner had his usual smothered steak burrito and he enjoyed it. I had never tried their quesadilla, I had the Chicken variety. I usually have their smothered beef/bean burrito, but I was craving a quesadilla. It arrived hot, and perfectly grilled (just enough grilling so the tortilla had a perfect consistency). I do wish their mild salsa was chunkier instead of such a thin consistency. Follow up service after our meal was brought to the table could have been a bit faster to check back to see if everything was ok, or if we needed anything else. Other than that, our waitress was very pleasant and accommodating to our request for more water. We eat there 4-6 times a year and are basically satisfied with our meal and service.

The food was great but the service was below par. Some of the food (meat)was very dry, when bills were received 2 of the orders were over charged from menu prices. Some of the patrons with kids were very unruly and loud and parents were not controling them. I would suggest that a change of seating section to seperate those with children, and adults have a section of their own.

Well usually this place is great. We order from here at least 2 times a month. For some reason this time our chip bag was only 1/3 of the way full. What is up with that? Part of the great part was a full bag of chips with salsa. Very disappointing.

Great Mexican food. It's fresh and they will make it as spicy or mild as you'd like and if you are a fan of cheese this is the place to go. Especially good when we went or the pork carnitas.
