This little guy wanted pizza but wanted to sit down eat in so we drove by this place decided to try wow what a great choice this pizza was cooked fresh and so delicious and just look at the size and my little guy's smile great place to feed the family.. Everything went great. Restaurant has a small seating area up front with several tables that appeared clean and well kept. Pizza was bomber; the crust in particular is fantastic. It has a nice crisp to it while not being overly toothsome. We got cheese, pepperoni, and veggie pizzas and they all came out great. There was street parking immediately in front of the restaurant. Prices were reasonable for what we got. They had a bunch of garlic roll looking things that smelled great and we regrettably did not purchase.

This is classic Sicilian pizza. The prices are very reasonable for the size pizza. This will be one of the top pizza places around. Large pie is 16" XL pie is 18". They also deliver to local hotels.

As close as it gets to NY-style pizza! It's kinda small in there, but generous compared to almost any NY pizza place (like Joe's). Sits about 20 people. Food was amazingly flavorful and well-priced. Also offers military discount. And it's a Pokestop for the nerds :) Please don't flame me for dabbing some of the grease off my pizza please (:

This is my GO-TO place to eat in Cheyenne.The slices are HUGE and very good. "Grandpa" The owner is there working the whole time every day the restaurant is open. He's not above wiping down a table or scrubbing a dish himself either. He also is a very generous man and friendly. He even will feed any homeless person a slice of pizza and a soda at no charge if they are hungry. *Be advised that he revised his open hours for the fall and winter. He is currently CLOSED on Wednesdays and sundays.

We stopped by some time ago while driving across country, checked this place out based on the good reviews. Customer service was friendly, helpful with any questions and we got a few things to try. Everything from the bread to the cannoli was great. Pizza was fantastic, not too thin or thick, seasoned + sauced well - not doughy either. It hit the spot. Just wish we had one as I'm craving it now. Best Pizza in the area

5 Stars - New York style pizza. First time ordering Downtown Pizzeria review. Crust is perfect and crunchy, there is no flop when folding the pizza -perfect!!! Sauce is great, cheese is great, pepperoni is great. This is a solid New York style pizza, by far best in Cheyenne. Why order from corporate chains when you can get this great pizza? Don't! Delivery was even much faster than they told me it would be. My new favorite place! 5 star, A+++

They have the best Gluten Free pizza I’ve ever eaten!! It is also a big pizza unlike most places. They have an amazing dough. They are amazing at making sure there isn’t any cross contamination. I am highly allergic so I love how I don’t have to worry about any cross contamination.

Great pizza, I was surprised how good it was. They're not reliable is the problem. I tried to go twice this week on days they are supposedly open, only to find they are closed. It's a bit more annoying since they are downtown and it's hard to find a parking spot.

If you want to have the best pizza experience ever, then this is where you need to come. Their pizza is delicious. The best I have ever tasted. Their calzones are also delicious, even reheated they taste almost like fresh and better than anything else out there. We will eat there every chance we get. Their prices are very reasonable. Service is excellent and they have a great variety of pizzas, calzones, sandwiches, salads and desserts to choose from. We rate this pizzeria at 10 🌟.

Had a large white pizza (garlic, tomatoes, olive oil) with two sodas for 21 bucks. It was okay; perhaps more salt and garlic for flavor or different use of cheese would be good. Service was fast and we were digging the chill music and large countertops for dinning in (bonus points for the honey jar by the condiments).

The BEST New York style pizza in Wyoming. The crust was homemade, perfect texture and taste. They sell by the slice or you can get an entire pie. I HIGHLY recommend Downtown Pizzeria. My husband is incredibly picky about his pizza and he absolutely loves the pepperoni pizza here.

It just looks like another pizza place. but, you can taste the love they hand toss into the dough and in the selection of unique toppings. A sausage pizza there is not just another sausage pizza!

Want pizza? This is the place to go! Every single time I go in is a treat for the tastebuds. Everyone is comparing it to NY pizza but that's not right, this is better. Downtown Pizzeria puts Ray's pizza to shame. I dont say that lightly either. If you're wanting pizza and you're in Cheyenne, definitely worth the stop. Seriously, EAT HERE!!!

The family and I were looking for a place to eat in Cheyenne, Wy. We used Google to find a place with higher ratings that was close to our Hotel and this pizza place came up with good reviews. We went and we were very pleased! The gentleman that took our order was very welcoming and happily took our very customized order (3 splits on an XL pizza). The pizza was perfectly prepped and cooked and the service was excellent! Good job fellas!

The pizza was soooo good! Get the special Grandpa's Pizza for sure, but all the pizza were awesome. The garlic Knots are amazing too. Best I've ever had! And while we didn't try any of the other food, some people at the table next to us were raving about the sandwiches as well. I highly recommend it! Great place with great food!

Pizza was delicious! The gentleman that helped me wasn’t very friendly or sanitary. I ended up not eating the Cesar salad I ordered as I watched him prepare it without any gloves on (and he definitely didn’t wash his hands at any point that I was there). Also their beverage cooler smelled like rotten food when I opened it. Will definitely go back, just not ordering a salad again.

The best pizza in Cheyenne, if not the best pizza in the state. The New York White is to die for. Getting ahold of them can be a bit tricky sometimes, but keep trying. It's worth the effort and the wait.

Owner was fantastic and the pizza was delicious. Crust was perfect for a thin crust pizza and the toppings were added in excellent proportions making the flavors pop in your mouth. I would recommend this pizza to anyone looking for a new and better customer experience than any large chain pizza restaurants will provide.

This is our favorite pizza place! My four year old son begs for this pizza all the time. It’s delicious! Everyone’s super friendly and have provided excellent service every time we’ve been there. If you haven’t tried it, you’re missing out. Best in Cheyenne in my opinion!

We were about to check into our motel around 8 or so at night, but wanted to grab some food first. Not knowing where we were going, we ended up in downtown Cheyenne. Saw this pizza place and darted in for a few slices to go. The staff was so incredibly friendly! And the pizza is amazing. It tasted so fresh and it reminded me of the east coast which is where I now live. Super impressed!

Grabbed pizza here in the middle of a cross-country drive. We came in pretty close to closing time but they made no fuss about us sitting down and eating. The pizza was awesome and the service was even better. I'd go back if I lived in Cheyenne!

Where to start! You can’t find a better experience than eating here. Owner very friendly always greets us and Derek he is always nice to my kids. They remember us by name and the prices are fair. We love coming as a family and I enjoy the cheese steaks from time to time. My work love there food too and the service. They order our lunches from here! You have to stop in and say hello!

Very good, authentic New York-style pizza. Prices are quite good. My wife and I got 2 over-sized, floppy pieces for a little over $5 just to tide us over for dinner later and ended up getting full on just that. Would recommend to anyone visiting the Cheyenne area.

Great New York Style pizza. The calzone and cheesesteak were also delicious. The location is very small but perfect for our family of 6 to stop in and eat. The service was kind of non-welcoming at first but they made up for it the longer we were there.

I love the taste of their food. It's a unique pizza if you're tired of Domino's and Pizza Hut. They are usually pretty nice and easy to order from. Delivery takes a while sometimes but to me, the extra wait is worth it. Overall great food at a decent price.

Best Pizza in the state. Above and beyond service. I was in town teaching some industrial athlete courses at the Laramie County Community College, we were there for 3 weeks. During those 3 weeks we ordered pizza, subs and some cannolis, several times. During the time we were there I trained close to 30 people, they all raved about how incredibly delicious all of the food was. In addition, there was no food left, they all ate until they were miserably full, but stated “it was worth it.” In closing, if you are in Cheyenne, or within a 100 miles of Cheyenne, this is the place. Thank you Jerry and family for your hospitality, professionalism and phenomenal service.

My favorite pizza place in Cheyenne. It's not a fancy place but the food is great and the prices are reasonable. They also deliver which comes in handy when you don't want to go out. My favorites are the chicken parm sandwich and of course the pizza. The canolis are excellent also.

Downtown pizzeria is one of my favorite pizza joints. Being from NY it’s the closest thing I have to home. But I was very disappointed when I found a long strand of blonde hair baked into my pizza. No, it wasn’t on top. I literally almost bit into it and pulled the long strand out of the pizza dough. With COVID going on, I’m upset they weren’t very careful about those things.

Sadly Downtown Pizzeria has closed due to Covid 19. This is the Best Pizza joint in Cheyenne by a long shot. Honest to God New York Pizza, I mean the real deal. The Steak Sandwiches are to die for. They are a properly made Philadelphia cheese steak sandwich. Get the Joe's Special steak, with capicola Jalapeno chilies with American cheese melted in, one bite and you are hooked. The salads are excellent and include a very good Italian bread roll with real butter. Both the pizza , and bread dough is made from scratch right on the premisses. The other items on the menus I have tried have been without fail excellent. You can buy pizza by the slice. Be sure to try the Sicilian pizza properly made on a thick pizza bread base the Family size will feed a family it is enormous. I particularly like the fact this is a local business, not a franchise. I always like to patronize local businesses when ever I can when the food is this fantastic it is real easy. I was clued into the Down Town Pizzeria by the manager of a local franchise pizza place he told me Modello was the best pizza in town. When I heard that I had to make the pilgrimage. That franchise pizza place has lost a customer...sorry but the taste buds rule. Did I mention they have anchovies.......8^)

Stopped in for a late lunch and had a couple calzones. They were pretty good. The marinara/pizza sauce wasn't my favorite but it complimente the calzone for a dipping sauce fine. Pizza looked good but was in a hurry so didn't order one, next time I'll have to try one.

This place is awesome! If you're looking for east coast pizza they have it. Great selection of toppings and specialty pizzas and all other types of Italian dishes. we ordered a large half pepperoni half veggie lover and a canoli. Their pepperoni is just like you would get from NY, not a lot of red sauce just the right amount of cheese and on a perfect crust. Their veggie lover is loaded with veggies, all the normal kinds plus broccoli and marinated tomatoes...very good. As they finished up our pie they hand it over to us and say enjoy a free upgrade on the house to XL!! Was impressed with how nice and helpful the staff were. The only problems you're going to have with this place is finding room in the fridge for their giant delicious pizzas. Ps: the canoli was amazing.

We got a slice of "New York White" (mozzarella , garlic, oregano, & ricotta), and a slice of cheese decked out with mushrooms and a some extra mozzarella so I could get my slice of mushroom pizza without it having shared a half pie with a meat topping. Like Mondello's they clean the cutters before slicing the meatless pizzas so I don't get a pepperoni grease track on my vegetarian slices. I appreciate that consideration. Like Mondello's and Parkway this place has excellent crusts, and a sauce on par with Mondello's (my favorite since 2001). It's great to have something this good again downtown. The fella who took over from Joe Mondello really hurt this location's reputation, and the people who run it now as "Grandpa's Downtown Pizza" are doing a fantastic job of rebuilding that reputation with a wonderful attitude, good hospitality, attention to detail, and excellent food. Unlike Mondello's this place delivers which is an added plus. After having stayed away for a few years, I'm looking forward to coming back often.

I love the food here. They fail to deliver within an hour and we have given up on their delivery so started carryout. On our 2nd visit to pickup our carryout items I was disgusted. The man who was cashiering handled money previous to helping me. When asked what I ordered it wasn't ready, and he started to put my order together he did it with his bare hands, unwashed. I asked him to please use gloves, he put them on but gave me the same food he had just handled with his grubby paws, didn't replace it, when he knew it was an issue. I left very unhappy, and wouldn't let my family touch the pepperoni rolls we had paid for with our pizza. Train your employees about health and sanitation.

Best pizza place in Cheyenne. This is the closest thing to true NY pizza for miles (next is in ft Collins). Sadly now they only deliver through doordash which is overpriced. Still if I want pizza I pick up from here.

Read a review about the pizza. My wife and myself thought we would try it . We are from n.y. city living now in colorado passing through cheyenne. We see so many signs saying new York pizza in our journeys. Well this was the best pizza west of the Mississippi we have had in 4 years. The owner was from Brooklyn n.y. and had the same accent as us. Very friendly good service. This was truly new York pizza.

Pizza is very good. Went for dinner and service was good with the older man in charge. Came back the next day for lunch and the two kids in charge can't see to follow simple directions.
