What I have repeatedly referred to as the worst McDonalds ever...rarely is my order correct, they are often without ice for the drinks, and the wait times are excessive. Customer service is virtually non-existent and the employees are often rude and dismissive...and occasionally hostile.

The store manager Angela speaks to her employees something awful. To say she lacks people skills is understatement. The store is barely staffed and service suffers because of it. Not surprising considering how employees are treated there. The corporation or owner needs to take notice of her.

I felt rushed and a part of my order want heard because the woman was in such a hurry. I had to go back in to order what was not heard. The food was up to standard so no real complaint other than be sure if you're going to rush your customer that you actually hear what's being said to you.

Great food but they don’t always empty out their cabinets when they’re supposed to! If you order something, and it tastes off, chances are it was kept warm for way longer than it was supposed to. It’s not a big deal, just ask them to remake it fresh, but it is a little gross to bite into a 3 hour old mchicken…

I am aware of the bitter winter temperatures but it is topped with Hot Fudge!!! An innocent spontaneous impulse that will suffice the greatest sweet tooth. With my request for extra hot fudge it's still under 3 bucks. ( bummer for me it's not sold in a larger size)

The order taker was nice when taking the order but didn't get my order correct. She wouldn't talk when exchanging the money. The guy handing the food out to me asked me what I had and the order taker had got it wrong..so he took the food back. The coffee drink wasn't correct but I didn't have the time for him to correct it so I just kept it. I pulled and waited about 2 minutes and they brought my food out to me. It was freshly made and tasted good.

Well I can't remember the last time I had a Big Mac but I was in the Charleston West Virginia today looking at houses to buy so on my way back to Clarksburg I stopped by the McDonald's by the capital, well the Big Mac still take the same, the french fries are still the best and it's all the soft drink you can drink after you pay for one but then again how many can you drink. The service was quick he had four different options on how you order and pay. And the people were very friendly. But I'm more of a Whopper guy

Edit: Well the 3rd time was the charm, as they finally got an order right and it was under 10 minutes from the time I got in the drive thru line till I got my food! Upgrading them to 3 stars for now. Granted, one should not set the bar too high when going to a McDonald's, but my first experience here set the bar underground. Not only did it take a good 10 minutes to get my food, but they couldn't even get the order right after all that time. I ordered a QPC ketchup only, but it came with all the toppings. Beyond that, the bun was hard on the edges, and it wasn't a crisp from grilling the bun, but rather seemed very much like it was stale. The meat patty was very dry - certainly not the 'fresh, never frozen' QPC that McDonald's claims. It would be tough to have a worse experience from even a fast food joint... The good news? They can only go up from here (I hope!).

On the east end I got two apple pies and a coffee it was late morning the pies were dry and the coffee strong though the atmosphere that day and this lady who worked there Donata made the experience one to remember so satisfying it was to see the cleanliness and the teamwork from the staff as they tried to keep up McDonald's reputation for family dining in the form of fast food thankyou I will be back one day

Sometimes the line for drive thru can take forever but it's due to not being able to get or keep employees. Some very nice workers that try their best though. Food is always fresh and I can't remember them ever messing up my order so that's a plus.

If you're looking for customer service that will leave you feeling glad you came...forget about it. The young lady that took my drive through order was neither nice nor mean; she was just there. From the time I pulled up to the window to pay to the time I got my receipt to get my food at window 2, she did not say a word. Didn't check if I was paying for the correct order, didn't repeat the total back to me, didn't say thank you for your order and absolutely didn't say I can pull to the next window for my food. The young lady dispensing the food was 180 degrees opposite. She smiled and thanked me for my service as McDonald's usually will do.

First time I've been since the remodel and had a great experience. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Gwen. She provided great customer service to not only me, but everyone in the restaurant. Food came quickly and was great! Best dining experience I've had a McDonalds.

Typical McDonald's fare. Order was correct, however I placed a mobile order for pickup inside. After I arrived two lobby orders were placed and filled before mine was... There was clearly a sense of confusion as well, the McCafe employees were making drinks and no one else knew what order they went with.

Sometimes it is good, but it is never consistent. For example the drive thru is slow and the facility is a mess. The employees are rude and obnoxious. The food is sometimes hot but sometimes it is warm. Their tea is the best tea in the world. One time I asked for some dipping sauce and they said you had to pay for it, who does that!

Love it here always feel welcome whether it be in the lobby or the drive thru. They make sure your order is correct and If they mess up they do their utmost to fix it. Will definitely be back!

McDonald's is very busy especially in the mornings because of the capital traffic and employees picking up items be prepared to wait a while but typically the experience is quick and items are cooked correctly and 90% of the time your items are correct once bagged in the Drive-Thru to leave usually they don't have you pull over and wait things move pretty quickly but do we expect

Very quick and friendly. Food was prepared well too. Bathrooms inside, two-way drive thru, FREE WiFi, and plenty of parking. Self order kiosks are available now inside as well we noticed. It can get quite busy when the school across the street dismisses the students.

Having to come back they left an item out of our order or cold fries and the meat is so cool the cheese won't melt. It happens at least 3 times at the Gomart McDonalds in Kanawha City Charleston West Virginia a week.

Smithers location is not true of the business hours listed. This store is no longer open 24 hours. Now closed at midnight. If you can get it freshly prepared, then the food is good for the value. The employees are not the most professional, but it is a fast food place.

walking distance from capital. Food ok, one location that offers Veterans discounts but have to ask for manager because employees may say they do not but they do. Overall if you want to to ensure your fries are hot, make a request.

I've been to this McDonald's many times but this was the first time in about three months. I didn't know it was remodeled. They now have the touch screens where you can place your order, customize the order and pay at the kiosk. Of all the years I've eaten at McDonald's, I had no idea I could get a burger with no salt. It tasted so much different...it was healthier. Plus I added leaf lettuce and tomato to the burger. It was delicious!!! I went there this particular time with my three daughters and they loved it as well. They wanted the McChicken but none of them like mayonnaise. They liked the fact that they could get the sandwich without the mayonnaise. McDonald's has truly stepped up it's game in the fast food industry!!!

This is MY MCDONALDS! The one most local to me. The service is good & usually ur wait time is minimal. However, the homeless population hang out in the flower garden on premises & harass u in the drive thru line..this is no fault of McD's! I'm a daily customer & I order just a large coke often & instead of making me wait in the drive thru line, the cashier will fix me my drink& go ahead & give it to me!

Some days this location is worth 5 stars. Other days they mess everything up, the biscuits are hard, the gravy is cold, and you get a fork with the gravy. But that doesn't matter because the gravy is as thick as mashed potatoes and you can actually use a fork

Always friendly, but the service is also always slow. Expect a long wait at this location. It's tucked away from the road and may be hard for travelers to find. It's one of the few Corporate owned McDonalds in West Virginia, boasting it's retro 1950s facade.

No matter what time of day, I am always through the drive thru within a few minutes. Even when I go inside, I always get fast, accurate service. And they always get my order correct. I've had nothing but positive experiences at this Mcdonald's. I recommend it highly!! To the parents reading this: This location doesn't have a playground, like some of the other McDonald's have. The only one I know of, is at the Southridge Center, on Route 119, in South Charleston, WV. would NOT recommend it. But that's another review altogether.

I have only been to this location a few times during lunch. Each visit was through the drive thru.. Service was fairly quick considering how busy they are. However, I could hear employees being "mouthy"/complaining through the window more than once... wasn't impressed with that.
