Wonderful, fresh, made to order sushi in Charleston’s downtown district. Excellent every time. I had chicken teriyaki, Almost Heaven Maki and my new favorite Melt in Your Mouth Maki

Not a bad atmosphere and the food was filling. Bar stools were fairly comfortable but the bar top doesn't come out very far so your knees will be smashed into the bar if you're over 6' tall.
The bartender was very nice and super helpful with her recommendations of getting spicy noodles with steak. The dish was good, but was missing some extra flavor. The hot was more of a medium in my book, so it wasn't over powering but you'll still feel a little tingle from the heat.
I'd say 4.2 stars

I've ordered takeout a few times but recently had the dine-in experience. Our waitress, Isabelle, was very friendly and patient. She helped us in every way she could and was great with our kids. The food was great and we had a nice time. I highly recommend it! My husband was most fond of the ahi tuna, he said it was some of the best he's ever had.

Pretty decent though moderately priced sushi. We ordered the octopus “dumpling special” which were tasty though more like boudin balls. I got the capital roll and and a blue crab, shrimp combo roll. The went a bit heavy with the seasoning which overpowered it. The layout was pleasant and they have an attached bar, welcoming atmosphere and located downtown. Funny surprise was the mens rooms which really should just just be a one person. All in all a pleasant experience.

A great restaurant in the heart of downtown Charleston which offers cocktails from the classic Old Fashion and Manhattan to the uniquely asian-inspired green tea martini. The is phenomenal and prepared by local legend, Chef Evan. From presentation to taste and texture, the sushi and sashimi are the highest quality and presented with culinary flair. Be warned that prices are above average, but understand that the restaurant uses the highest quality ingredients and the size of the restaurant limits the number of daily patrons. Our friends Julie and Keith were thoroughly impressed as well.

Very solid sushi. The tuna steak was DELICIOUS and the soy garlic veggies were great! Singapore noodles had a great flavor and the chicken was juicy. A larger beer selection (and a drink menu) would be nice.

Excellent food and even better staff. We stopped in for dinner with our two kids and we were treated with such kindness and friendliness. Thank you Ichiban for being a light to our family that night!

Ordered takeout, 2 crab crunch rolls and a 101 roll. The restaurant itself is beautiful, nice atmosphere in the 5 minutes I was there to pickup. Bartender was super sweet! I'm not a big fan of raw sushi, so these rolls were amazing. Everything was delicious, down to the rice. Definitely recommend for some good eats. Only problem, I didn't order more!!
