The service here is awesome. The ladies were great. The food is not bad but I feel like for the price it could be a little bit better. I absolutely love the banana pudding ice cream! I could eat it by the gallon. The atmosphere is not horrible either. It's just a little dark. It seems kind of cave-like. In all, it's not a bad place to eat, just a little on the pricey side.

Best hamburger I’ve ordered out in a long time. Real ground beef, just the right size. Not too thick but hangs off the sides and juicy. Fresh veggies and bun. Just like I make at home.

Very good diner. Both our sandwiches were very good. Also tasty rings and fries. As the name suggests, the decor and music are reminiscent of the mid/late 50's early 60's. The diner is very clean.

I had the temptation with their homemade sauce which was amazingly fabulous. My hubby ate the bbq and said it was good too. The fries were crinkle kind and very tasty. The service was very friendly. I will be back!

My first visit, walking in, I was honestly not very impressed. A large, open room, with plain wooden chairs and tables. The floor seemed old and dingy. The highlight of the decor were several very cool posters from the 50s. Also 50s music was playing. I was with a client, and they wanted a hotdog and brought me here. I'm not the biggest hotdog fan, but actually enjoyed my hotdog. Properly cooked, and a soft bun. I had the German dog. The sauerkraut was perfect. Sour, but not overly so. I will say, we loved the onion rings so much, we ordered more! (Try dipping them in their homemade ranch!) As we ate, I quickly began to relax and actually enjoy the simple setting and music, feeling like I was back in the simpler days of the 50s. After lunch, we both had an ice cream cone. Nice, large scoops of delicious homemade ice-cream! I ended up enjoying my visit so much, I did not agree about going right back for dinner with my hubby after I told him about it! He had their barbecue sandwich, I had the grilled chicken. Again, very good, and had fun trying another scoop of ice-cream! Not a fancy place, but very enjoyable!

Heard good things about this place, so I stopped by with my uncle. Got their bacon cheeseburger and mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks themselves were great, but the marinara sauce to dip them in was abysmal. The burger was excellent though, in every aspect. I give this place a solid A, and definitely recommend stopping by!

First time in S. Charleston and we stopped in, by far one of, if not the best fried chicken sandwichs out there. It has this incredible richness to the chicken, and the bun is high quality too, super affordable also! Highly recommend, not to mention the charming 50's aesthetic that round out the whole place!

Good hotdogs with chili and slaw. Also had one with mustard and kraut. That was good also. They have ice cream there and my better half had a milk shake too. Service was nice and plenty of parking on 7th St in front. There are some antique stores directly across the street that you can mosey around in then.

I love this restaurant! My friend and I especially love going on Wednesdays to get their delicious chicken and dumplings! The entire meal, which includes mashed potatoes, green beans, and a drink, is only $10! Plus, it's free dessert day! The people are awesome, too! I highly recommend this place!

We used Happy Days Cafe to Cater a small socially distanced picnic at a local park where we reserved a shelter. Megan and the rest of the staff were all friendly, timely and all super conscious of the current concerns. They properly wore masks and donned gloves before handling the food they delivered warm, fresh and might I add absolutely loved by all. This is atypical to say the least, but everything was so delicious there was not even one complaint. And the dessert tray!!! Wow. Yummy, Devine. More please. If you have an event, need food for a number of people and you want really good food, call these folks. They did our little church group very proud.

Now, I’ve eaten here a lot of times in my life. Since I live close, it is a nice spot to come and eat. I like how nice the staff is and how good their ice cream and shakes are, but their actual food could use a bit of an upgrade. The fries are never seasoned and the meat can have a bland taste. And overall the only fifties and sixties theme I see are just posters and some antiques. But except for the food and weird atmosphere, it’s pretty good!

Have wanted to try this place for awhile just never have because always looked crowded. Now I know why, food was great staff very friendly. They have some good apple pie too ,not sure if it's homemade or not but it's good. Also have icecream . Will be going back

We eat here at least once a week. The sandwiches and burgers are great and it is a very laid back atmosphere. It can get very busy at lunch time especially when the weather is nice. We like to go around 1pm when main big lunch rush has passed.

Meh, they aren't all that. Now the service reaaaalllll nice. But they only cook their burgers well done, plus the burgers are dry, REAL dry. They do have good ice cream if ya like that tho. The fries aren't seasoned and they are your classic oven crinkle cut fries. Basically good for service and ice cream but the food has a little more to be desired.

This atmosphere is exactly like the name Happy Days. You have kind genuine people who are your wait staff and you have really good cook there is well. Some of the smallest things in life are the good foods that you eat. If you're looking for something that is down home and you want to get that old school trendy field stop here this is a great place to get food.

Wow I am so impressed!!! Stopped in to have dinner and since the new owners took over the menu and staff are greatly improved... being well traveled and a self proclaimed foodie my dinner was outstanding...home-made pimento cheese grilled with crisp bacon on.....grilled rye bread!!!! ...they have daily lunch/dinner specials posted on their Facebook page. Brittany our server was gracious and quick... ...the food was cooked perfectly no burnt edges or heavy greasiness...MOST IMPORTANTLY ...the resident had an excellant county inspection rating post by the front door... ...the bathroom in great shape .... I can't recommend it enough tell all your friends...local homemade food including pies and desserts!!!

Funny thing about this place my mother and father opened a restaurant years ago in Mason wv, Called Happy Days Cafe, I remember my mother saying that there was a new restaurant opening up in Charleston with the same name and theme and food, I stopped and eaten here and it almost brings back memories I'd recommend eating here

Very over priced. The owner seems to favor certain guest. Is sometimes rather rude. The food is alright. But really over priced I'm surprised they're still open. For the most part it's clean. Really don't think the servers should have to split tips. A couple servers work there butts off, while I've seen the others not doing anything. Really unfair.

I arrived at 7:15 on April 4 2023 and the waitress told me they closed at 7:00. I told her that Google says they're open till 8:00 she said too bad. I would think they would want Google to have the correct hours if they wanted to have customers to be satisfied.
