Reviews of First Watch
Delicious! My husband and I were looking for a place serving breakfast while in Charleston. A friend recommended First Watch. Even though they were bustling, the wait was not long. Food is plentiful, and you will get your money's worth. The server was attentive and caring. We will be back the next time we are in this area.
Food is fantastic, very flavorful and large portions.. Service was excellent! Our waiter was nice and interactive with us! Short 15 min wait was well worth it! My 15 yr old daughter went back with a group of her friends the very next day!
There was a short wait because it's worth the wait! I got the elevated egg sandwich and it was delicious! My husband got the cold brew and roast beef and he said it was the best lunch he'd had in a long time. He said he couldn't remember a better sandwich!
Absolutely love first watch. I have always had great service. I normally get the farmhouse hash but switched it up this trip and got the market hash. The vegetables were absolutely perfect in it, and some of the best goat cheese I’ve had. They have great gluten free toast. You cannot beat their breakfast around Charleston.
Healthier alternatives that actually taste good! Portion sizes were more than I was able to eat. Definitely got my money’s worth. Two thumbs up
We were in town for the weekend and love to look for different places to eat. First Watch came up in our search. We were pleasantly surprised and delighted with our meal. Everyone was friendly and the atmosphere was wonderful. The Works Omelet the Best omelet I’ve had in quite a while. My wife had the biscuit and gravy and it too was exceptional. And the tangerine dream was truly a dream. We will be sure to visit again next time we are in Charleston.
Food and service were both awesome. Everything was fresh and homemade. Over easy eggs were cooked perfectly, sausage gravy & biscuits were yummy, multigrain toast was delicious and those home fries, OMG.........some of the best I've ever had! This place is a must for breakfast!
At our stayover in Charleston, West Virginia we got our Breakfast at the First Watch Restaurant. The whole Service was amazingly fast and friendly. Within a few minutes, we sat, had our coffee and the amazing fresh pressed orange juice. We decided on a Skillet and an Egg-Sclusives, the Chickichanga - and with that also great respect for the copywriter of the menu. Everything we got was very fresh and good prepared. It was tasty even if maybe a little scared of the spices, salt and herb side. There is some room for improvement. And that there were still “single-use plastic cups” are in use, even if the fresh fruits are coming in reusable metal cups, could be changed. I liked the unique plates a lot.
So a good Breakfast-Place and a good recommendation for your visit.
Delicious breakfast with lots of options. I had ham and Gruyere omelet with cheese grits and toast. It was a week day so there was not a wait which happens on weekends Service was great and friendly.
Atmosphere is perfect. Crisp, clean, inviting, fresh. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Delicious, flavorful meals and beverages. Definitely a top restaurant in the Charleston area.
Portion is small. A cup of coffee is bigger than a bowl of soup😆. Broccoli cheddar was too salty😒. Difficult with parking.
Hands down the best breakfast, brunch, lunch restaurant in Charleston. The food is always so tasty & fresh, amazing specials & good service!
I’ve been coming here for many years. Always consistent service and food! Excellent meals and friendly amazing staff.
Great service & food. Market veg omlette was delicious and fresh ingredients!
Came for my birthday breakfast and had an amazing experience. The food was great and the staff was great. Thank you.
Interior is nice. Not too much space there, but kinda enough. Food quality is good, but taste is not as rich as I expected. Service is good, coffee is not bad - 4/5.
The best place to get breakfast in Charleston. Food is always delicious and I recommend the Lavender Tea lemonade, it’s so good! You usually have to wait a while to get a table but that’s to be expected when the food is so good.
This is the best restaurant for breakfast. I was hesitant about trying the specialty bacon and now will start making it at home like this as it was sooooo good! This was my first time eating here, and I would be ecstatic if we had a restaurant like this near Ann Arbor.
Awesome healthy food was good portions and very courteous service
Great place! The flavor was great, server was very friendly, attentive and great with food allergies. The service was decently fast and the prices were decent too!
Great food...this is a must if you are in town.
Looking for a healthy start to the day while on the road? Look no further. Stayed at the Marriott courtyard while on our way to MI. This place is close by. Had the egg white and turkey omelette with whole grain toast. You can also get traditional eggs and bacon etc. our server Nate was great. Prices are higher than Mickey Ds but the quality is 100 percent better. Coffee delicious.
First time here and the food was so good! Service was great, our server Doug was very friendly and provided fast service. Food came out hot & within 10 minutes. The watermelon wake up juice was so good. Will definitely come back here to try more of the menu!
If you're driving through Charleston, WV, this is the place to go for breakfast n lunch.
Fresh food and very tasty.
Service by Doug was outstanding.
Absolutely delicious food. Being a pescatarian it can be hard sometimes to find a place that has something that I enjoy and something that my meat eating friends enjoy. First Watch never fails! The food is delicious, the staff is amazing, the service is unbeatable and the atmosphere very welcoming.
First visit here and I ordered the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and million dollar bacon...both were delicious! Went back 2 days later and ordered the Pumpkin Pancake breakfast and orange carrot drink...again both were delicious! I definitely recommend this place for breakfast and lunch.
Great food, quick service!
Great food, some excellent service, too. Reasonable prices except for the avo toast. haha Easy parking (garage is currently $0.25-$1 hour & right next door). It’s a pretty solid place to get breakfast.
Loved the power breakfast bowl, kale tonic (li’l spendy but worth), the tea is fresh brewed & not that Gold Peak garbage, chorizo omelette is next level.
Holy smokes. You need to go here if you are looking for the perfect place for breakfast or brunch. Yes, the cinnamon bun is as amazing as it looks! The food is fresh, hot, and reasonably priced! This place is staffed so well (that speaks volumes) with happy, customer centric employees. We were just passing through on a long drive, but we so wish that we lived closer to frequent this gem.
Excellent stop for breakfast. Eggs, waffle, and Million Dollar Bacon were all very tasty. One criticism...the bacon wasn't hot. I tend to prefer my food hot when I eat it.
Order coffee and you get a pot to yourself. It's good coffee too!
I highly recommend the Kale Tonic fresh juice.....very good.
*Updated*
Went for breakfast a second time. Skipped the million dollar bacon and went with the traditional with pork sausage. Everything was cooked perfectly and hot. Very good breakfast spot.
Wonderful breakfast. Like the perfect find in downtown Charleston!
Excellent service. Good gluten free option for breakfast.
🥑 Avocado Toast...
Decided to drive from Barboursville West Virginia to Charleston West Virginia to eat at this restaurant. I was not disappointed. Food is yummy and our service was great. I HIGHLY recommend FIRST WATCH in Charleston West Virginia.
This place is usually great, we got there early, one of the first customers and the waitress was great, but the eggs Benedict was hard boiled. If the cook's does not know how to poach an egg, then the owner should remove all items from the menu that includes a poached egg. This was very disappointing. 3 stars for the waitress, without me asking, removed the cost from my bill. And like I said earlier, this place is usually great,
Food was great! Lovely, homey vibe and great staff/service! Highly recommend if you are looking for a cute brunch place.
First Watch has been a Charleston staple for years and continues to be a quality restaurant. About a week ago, I got the salmon and roasted vegetable frittata for breakfast. It was delicious and a good sized portion. Whether it's breakfast or lunch, First Watch has a great variety of options. It's conveniently located on Summers St. with street and garage parking nearby.
We came to this restaurant thanks to online reviews. Great location, right next to Capitol Street. Great healthy options, well made and with superb taste. Loved that they accompany their dishes with a mesclun type salad perfectly dressed, very Napa style and so few restaurants do that. Wonderful fast and friendly service.
Their seasonal dish Heritage Pork Chop and Eggs is a must try. It is well seasoned, juicy and you can taste the quality of ingredients at first bite. Their pancakes and hot blackberry syrup are pretty good too. Clean and fast service but lunchtime is a little bit slow and has limited space.
We found ourselves here daily in the morning to get the energy for the Greetings from Charleston mural next door at the parking garage. Lots of great tasting breakfast and fresh option! Talk you guys.
Truly a staple in this community, thank you for being there all these years and with amazing food. Obviously by the plates, it was good!!
The second time eating at a First Watch and was not disappointed. The waitress was very good about answering our questions on different menu items and even brought us each little samples of the five drink options. I can't remember the names but she sold me on one of them.
Came from Beckley for the second time here and this place goes above and beyond. Very attentive to their customers from walking In to leaving. Very hard working staff and very nice and friendly and extremely fast with their turnover. The food as I remembered was amazing and they have great choices. Highly recommend and definitely will be back
The food here is amazing. Always consistent, always fresh, and the staff is always friendly! We go here every Sunday, and there's usually a wait time (on average 20-30 minutes) it's well worth it! If you're looking for a great place for breakfast this is the best in Charleston!
I highly recommend this restaurant. The first thing to note is the atmosphere, the staff create a friendly and inviting environment, and are very accommodating. The staff are also quite attentive to dietary restrictions, making sure that the food you get is not going to upset any restrictive diets. It is rare to find a restaurant with quick service and good tasting food that also has good portion sizes. I was able to eat a full entre and desert item and not feel bloated. I will absolutely be returning here.
Worth the wait! The open faced chicken salad and the Crab Omelet was delicious!
Daughter said the Avocado Toast was good, but had a little too much salt ontop - request no salt if you're sensitive to that. Went on a Sunday, so the parking lot across the street was open and free.
First Watch is a great place for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. The food has always been fresh, well cooked, and always tastes great. The only issue is how busy it usually is. Fortunately, they do offer takeout, so if you don't want to wait, or if you don't want to be around so many people at once, you can always call ahead and get your food to go. The staff is friendly, and the restaurant is easy to find and is close to a parking garage, so parking usually isn't a problem. Give them a try, they're great!
Never had a bad meal here. Eggs benedict is always done perfectly. Service is quick making it a great place to go for lunch on a work day.
Amazing and ausome. Love their maple syrup.
April 2023 still great.
A co-worker recommended First Watch and boy am I glad they did! I got a chickichanga (basically a regular chimichanga with breakfast flair and an omelette in place of the tortilla) and loved it. I like the vibe of the restaurant and some of the inventive items on the menu make it stand out from other brunch restaurants. I'll definitely be coming back to First Watch!
A family friend recommended when we took him to lunch and it was so good and reasonably priced.
Great service, attitude, and food. I had blueberry pancakes and the soup of the day. It was very good.
Food options here are incredibly delicious. I ordered the SuperSeeds Protein Pancakes and they came out perfect. Could not ask for anything any better. Unfortunately, it took a couple of times to get a glass of water. The wait staff seem to have constant regulars and they check on them constantly. That's great! I just wish I was a regular and got that kind of service. They seem to be a little overwhelmed when it gets busy. I'd want them to be friendly, but then it falters somewhere. Overall I'd still highly recommended. Lots of great options for those that are wanting a lot of meat, vegetarian, vegan, the whole lot.
Overall a good experience. Just like other FirstWatch restaurants I have been to all over.
This is the best breakfast in the Charleston area. You almost feel like you're eating healthy even though you're eating pancakes smothered in wonderful toppings lol

First time stopping downtown Charleston and tried this well recommended breakfast/lunch spot. Had the eggs Benedict BLT (with bacon and avocado). They do this on ciabatta instead of a English muffin which was good. I had to send the first order back because the eggs were cooked hard. They were apologetic and went back at it. The second came out with the whites still a little runny but not bad enough to send back. Overall the flavors we're good but I would think that a place that almost specializes in eggs Benedict would be better at the eggs. Maybe it was an off day or a new cook but it was not bad enough to scare me from trying it again. Service was friendly and helpful.
Had to have the poached eggs taken back. Other then that we had a great breakfast with a tentative waiter.
Nice clean environment with yummy food. Definitely recommend.
Great food, excellent customer service and must have the "million door bacon", yummy
The best in town and great atmosphere beautiful people with beautiful smiles😚 Food was phenomenal
Great food, waitresses were super friendly. Would definetly come here for some delicious breakfast again.
The million dollar bacon was very good!
The next visit I had the delicious Floridian french toast with my wife haveing the same an we was both very satisfied ! Thank you too our nice waiter as well only dislike I had was when I drank my chocolate milk she didn't ask if I wanted a refill or another glass so I just sipped my water an enjoyed the rest of my morning !
Amazing brunch spot. I love the specialty drinks and house made food. It's truly a treat and afterwards go check out the library!!
Wonderful friendly waitstaff Kim was our server and she kept my wife and I contented throughout the entire meal. I had the oatmeal and chilled pear cider both were absolutely delicious and a perfect way to start my day
My wife and I had to go to the DMV that morning before work and decided to treat ourselves to breakfast. Boy did we make the right choice. Very satisfied all around.
There are so many things to love about First Watch!! Being a bakery owner and a huge food lover, I am always thrilled to be in an environment with wonderful people and even more wonderful food.
On an extremely busy Mother's Day we had a very reasonable wait time, comma super friendly service, and absolutely amazing food!
Thank you for always going above and beyond not just for our family but for every family. We truly love and appreciate all the hard work you do!!
Great service and even better food. What I noticed the most was the variety of people eating there. Everyone was comfortable! Four of our Men and Women in Blue were dinning. Must be good if Charleston's finest eat there.
It's a must dine location.
Very good. Always fresh tasty unique items you can't get elsewhere. Friendly staff
It was a great place for brunch ,fresh juices and good food
I went to First Watch twice while in town with my wife. We both ordered different breakfasts each time. The food is excellent! I would give it more stars if that were possible.
Sooo good! Food is always amazing. Unique specials. Great service. Get there early on a weekend! They fill up fast!
We stopped at this First Watch while passing through Charleston. We eat at many First Watches in different states. This one has a really poor design. Very crowded at the front door with people waiting to be seated and those waiting to pay. This First Watch has no outdoor dining either. Also, there's ZERO privacy in the Ladies Restroom. Please put some Rubber Strips in between the doors. On a good note.
The food was delicious as expected at a First Watch. And they have Sweet Tea.🙌😋
This place was okay. It is a very hipster menu. I had the waffle. I've had better. My wife had some kind of wrap that she enjoyed. The OJ was very good. Service was on the slow side, but they were busy.
Excellent food and service. The wait was about 20 minutes which is to be expected if a great place. One minor complaint I have is that their website showed “no wait” and has the ability to check in online and get in line. But when we arrived they said they don’t use the system. Regardless - one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. Filling but not greasy.
Great place for brunch or early dinner. Loved the food and great service.
This is our favorite breakfast place in town. The freshly squeezed juices are amazing, and the food is wonderful and comforting. Service has always been great, even the time my 10-month-old puked all over the floor.
Plenty of tables, our server was very attentive, our food came out pretty quick and it was very delicious.
The food selection is amazing and the service is very good, our waittress was so sweet and very attentive.
Amazing juice. Definitely recommend the kale tonic with apple. Food was absolutely superb and I can’t wait to go back again. Some of the kids portions are a little small but I will absolutely be back again!
Douglass was absolutely fantastic! As was the atmosphere and the food! I've been to First Watch in 3 different states and this was by far the best experience I've had at one (the others were great too, but this First Watch is just the best)!
We love the food and we used to eat once or twice a week at this location but the hostess is very rude, that lady it’s yelling at the front door and making inappropriate comments constantly ,we stop going there because you have to deal with her and she is very unprofessional …. I even think she’s the manager… first and last face you see it’s not welcoming or friendly being busy it’s not a excuse for acting like that…
Food was excellent. Fresh and though they forgot my side salad and gave me home fries instead, it was no issue as they were good too. I was the last pick up order at closing so next time I will order sooner.
Bagged very well and easy to carry down the street.
The market vegetarian sandwich was so good! The price of the 2 for 2 is just the right price and has excellent choices. Gotta try this place out if you haven't yet.
Fantastic place to eat. Very friendly staff. The food was phenomenal. I couldn't decide between the Mushroom hash and the Short rib omelette so I ordered both. So glad I did. The wife also mentioned a fantastic eggs Benedict. Don't pass up this gem.
Love the Morning Meditation Juice and all the breakfast options taste great !!
Food was well done and the wait staff was excellent. However the prep time from the kitchen was excessive. It was a busy day but once the orders in, the kitchen should be able to keep up. I will go back and hope the kitchen service is better next time.
Food is great everytime!
Delicious food, great atmosphere, and our server was awesome. My wife's order came out incorrectly and they very quickly remade it for us. I will definitely stop back by here next time we pass through Charleston.
Good service nice experience wife had eggs Benedict liked it was Florentine style. They have something called million dollar bacon kinda pepper and maple flavored not too spicy. Would recommend.
What a great breakfast stop this morning. The kids loved the French Toast and pancakes. My wife and I had the Egg sandwich on brioche buns and Farmhouse Skillet. I wish I could leave pictures of our food but we destroyed it too fast. Nice clean place. If you're going by or through Charleston West Virginia you should stop
Barbacoa quesadilla benedict was excellent!
So lucky that I've had them everywhere I've lived and stops in between Tucson AZ. and so far Charleston WV. Will definitely stop on the way home!
Great Food, Great Atmosphere! A must visit restaurant! You won’t be disappointed!
Food was just decent. The spacious is nice. I'm rating a 4 because our waiter wasn't pleasant. There was a rush there the Sunday afternoon we had gone, had to wait 20 mins to be seated and we were starving. Even though my boyfriend did not like his order, he welcomes the idea of going back.
Charming breakfast spot with fresh delicious food. A must-go when I am in Charleston
This place always has excellent service and food.
As always, the food is exceptional. Fresh ingredients and always a favorite among my group.
Excellent breakfast establishment. Never recall having a poor experience here. The quality of the food is top notch and the selection reasonable. The menu is navigable and not overwhelming. Good selection of seasonal items as well. Hugh pancakes and a fine selection of natural and vegan options. Great wholesome and renewing food. Excellent coffee and juice selections. Staff always does a fine job. Prices more than fair. Definitely check out if in the area. Does have limited hours so be sure they are open before you stop in.
Great food! Happy, personable server! Nothing not to love about this place! I'd eat here daily if I could ❤️
It was good, however it was a big pricey overall. The hollandaise sauce could have been a bit more flavorful.
Hands down the absolute BEST breakfast in Charleston. I consider a day when I can indulge in First Watch a very good day. The atmosphere is just what you're looking for in a breakfast restaurant. Calm but moving quickly, quaint, fairly priced. The staff is always very pleasant. I simply cannot name a bad thing about it.
Food was amazing! I visited First Watch in Miami before but never here. I will say that I will be going there more often!! Great food fast service!!
Very good place for a quick bite and also one of the very few places that offer healthy options
While the renovations are pleasant the store still feels cramped on busy mornings-- we felt like our server had to practically lean on the table to leave space for the other tables due to how packed in the tables in each section were. Food is pretty good and moderately priced. I recommend the Elevated Egg Sandwich or French Toast (even if you just add a piece as a side). They run a wait list on busy mornings so make sure to sign in when you arrive. There is not a lot of space to wait indoors so if you or your loved ones need social distancing in effect to stay healthy, this might not be the place to go out to eat just yet. Little sidenote: they don't seem to carry Splenda packets and their best alternative is a stevia packet that is tough to dissolve.
Good food, well made
Food was delicious. I had the pesto chicken power bowl, million dollar bacon (if you go to First Watch, you HAVE to get it), and one of their special morning drinks (can't recall the name). Very good meal. I would definitely go again.
We ordered To Go online from our hotel room, and the food was ready when we arrived. They included everything we needed. The pancakes were delicious, and I especially liked the chicken sausage patties. Scrambled eggs were garnished with chives which was a nice addition. Their coffee was also robust and hot.
The pancakes were large, but the egg and sausage portions were rather small for an $11 entree.
Wonderful new makeover to the place. It is very nice and modern inside now and the service was excellent. We had the male server with longer, thick brown hair. He was very attentive and polite and the food was delicious like always. I highly recommend this place.
Great food. Fast and friendly service. Was very busy. Their credit card machine went down and it was a little frustrating/concerning to have to go old school credit card slip.
Great place! Always busy but they provide fast service.
It's a very nice place to go have breakfast, brunch or lunch. The food is very good I got the italian breakfast with scrambled eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes so very good. My boyfriend got the biscuit and gravy with turkey sausage also very good. We will be back soon! Excellent service, clean and friendly staff.
line was decently long, but wait wasn't too bad. server was friendly, food was okay.
Fantastic as always. It is my favorite breakfast place in town. The food is delicious, the pancakes are amazing, and the service is friendly.
Food was excellent!! Clean, fast, and friendly. Had the farm style breakfast bowl. My son had Floridian French toast. Excellent. Daughter had fruit crepes. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a healthy meal
The staff are definitely taking covid seriously here, which was a relief! We were able to call ahead for a table which was ready for us right on time. This made it possible to avoid standing in the entryway among other guests. The coffee was good and fresh. And the food was delicious and beautifully served. The staff were friendly and punctual, which is the perfect combination. Thank you!
Decent breakfast/brunch spot, though due to it's popularity, the wait times can be extended to get seated......
Menu items can be difficult to navigate if you're just wanting a fairly "plain" breakfast. Pricing is a bit steep but the food quality is usually top notch.
This place has the best waffles in the state...maybe the country. The food is always delightful, service is normally on point, and the company is military friendly. Best piece of advice I can give...don't order the million dollar Bacon. You will never EVER want to eat normal Bacon again. Can't say i didn't warn you.
It was a long wait, but always worth it
Pan cake was too dry. A/C was way too cold. But the staff were friendly.
Food was absolutely amazing!!! If you are looking for a quick bite, do not go Sunday brunch! We waited almost two hours for our food. Didnt mind as we sat at the bar and watched the kitchen staff work extra hard to accomodate all the to go orders. It was like a switch watching them complete the to go orders and then the in dining orders!
We were hesitant when we sat down and started reading through the menu because my teens are skeptical when it comes to things that say "multigrain" and "kale", etc., but we were pleasantly surprised to discover that the food was delicious. Two of my teens even tried the healthy juices and they were yummy!
First time at a First Watch. Parking on street was ok. Bring lots of quarters with you as there's meters. Waited about 25 minutes to get seated. You must stand outside. Service was good and attentive. She had a cheese omelet and asked for it to be cooked well. Her's came out perfect and was tasty, she said. She got the fruit and I got the very delicious home fries as the side. But, my salmon fritata came out cooked so well (long) that it was not only brown on the outside but it was dry as a bone. It was unedible. The manager happened to ask how things were and I said unedible. They made another, cooked right, and it was most delicicious. It is a good place for breakfast, it seems. The pancakes and french toast looked good on others' plates. Mistakes happen. We may give them another try.
First Watch has always been a great place to go. This time was no different.
1st things 1st, there's plenty of parking all around, the entrance is a wheelchair friendly gentle ramp and now with pandemic restrictions there's a lot of "elbow space." Prior to Covid the lack of space was simply because they were always crowded (kudos to them).
To the menu, it has an incredible mix of selections. Regardless of your diet, medical restrictions or just plain old preferences, I have serious doubts that someone would come here and not find something great to eat. I had "The Works" omelet this time and the name did not disappoint. My only complaint was they forgot to throw in the kitchen sink, tee-hee!
The service was their customary happy-to-see-you mode. And for someone as difficult to please as I am, they always deliver.
A warning to the First Watch crew; we'll be back a lot more, LOL! Whatever you're doing, keep it up please?!?
First Watch in Charleston is one of my all time favorite places to eat especially since I’m a huge breakfast person. I generally get the BLTE add avocado. Everything is delicious that I’ve tried. They have wonderful tomato basil soup, and I enjoy a morning meditation beverage!! Every time
I come I leave satisfied with the food as well as their customer service. They do a wonderful job every time for me and my family!!
Great service. Their veggie burger is pretty good and breakfast items are large and well made
I almost always order the roast beef and havarti. Delicious. Kids love the pancakes or french toast.
Fast, freindly service. Excellent food. Took someone for the first time. Now they are hooked!
Great food but good grief people flock to this place! I would suggest going on the off-hours, between meal times so you can get seated faster. The waffles are AMAZING, the seasonal special quinoa bowl is AMAZING, pretty much everything we've tried so far is good, good food. Service is fast and friendly, and even when there was an "oops" with one of our plates, the waitress was really polite and took care of it quickly.
Very good brunch place! Today's favorites were the Trifecta with the waffle, the Italian Wedding soup, and the Cinnamon Chip muffin.
Had the French toast, it was delicious, highly recommend
The menu is pleasurably exotic without being too outside the expected date of a good American breakfast joint. Servers are generally on point, remarkably so given today's COVID dining atmosphere. I highly recommend the lemon ricotta pancakes!
Great food and awesome service!
They are the brunch and breakfast bomb! Everything on the menu is healthy for the most part and always comes out looking amazing. I have eaten here for years! Staff is fab too! They are always helpful and seem to really know the menu to make proper suggestions.
Fabulous service, wonderful food! Doug is a friendly, consciousness server who will make sure you are taken care of. Tell him Tatiana's mom says "Hi." The menu is loaded with the usual choices and some with a twist. Loads of healthy, local options. Avocado toast, local sausage, eggs done exactly as ordered, fresh fruit, all were delicious. Be prepared to wait for a table because it's that popular but worth it.
Great brunch I had the ancient grains protein bowl and hubby had the chicken chimichuri hash, both were amazing and fresh. Our waiter was awesome, went above and beyond to make sure we ( and all his tables) were happy.
Had a wonderful make up Father’s Day breakfast here on a Tuesday morning with my husband and lively 20 month old. Our waitress was the best! And the food was delicious. I try to go as often as I can, but I am rarely able to get downtown during the earlier part of the weekdays so I don’t get to go as often as I would like.
$$
Good breakfast, nice people. A popular place for breakfast, no doubt because of the unusually large number of menu choices. It's clean and the staff is professional. There's often a wait for a table but I think it's worth it. Fresh fruit and steel-cut oats? That's all it takes for me but I regularly watch them tailor-make other choices my table-mates need. I can't imagine you'll have a bad experience at First Watch.
No matter what First Watch I dine at, the food is always consistent and excellent. The service is usually top notch also. Great job First Watch!
While traveling through the area on a late winter road trip, we stopped at First Watch for a much needed early morning big breakfast and were not disappointed. The service was fast and friendly. The food was fresh and delicious. After much deliberation over the many interesting menu options I went with the Chickichanga breakfast burrito. It was really, really good. My friend had french toast with a side of the Million Dollar Bacon. While I wouldn't say it was worth a million dollars, it was very, very tasty. Whether a local or a tourist, I highly recommend First Watch for breakfast. I would definitely eat here again.
We've needed a great brunch place in this area for awhile and First Watch is it! Healthy, locally grown and high quality ingredients shine. Sunday brunch includes exclusive offerings, like pumpkin pancakes! The service is fast and friendly.
This is definitely my favorite place in Charleston for brunch. The breakfast tacos taste amazing and actually are pretty good for you. They always seem to have a new variety of specials to try and every one is amazing. Definitely a crowded place on a Sunday morning but the wait is usually pretty quick.
Kind enough to let me sit and wait on my very late friends. Service was fast and friendly. The food was delish as always!
Amazing server, he was very attentive and the chickachanga is fabulous.
Great food. Very very long wait for a table. Had recently eaten at the First Watch in Pittsburgh (and loved it). Wanted my wife and kid to experience it. The experience was quite different. It was very crowded and loud.
First time being here. Food was amazing server was very attentive. This is a very busy place only had to wait about 10 minutes.
Really big plates, fast service, health conscious menu items like fresh kale juice next to old favorites like pork chops and apples. Everything tasted really good. Not to hippy or unpleasant they balanced flavors very well.
Fantastic avocado toast! A mountain of fresh avocado on top of whole grain toast, with a side of perfectly poached eggs. I ordered a side of the million dollar bacon, which was amazing. Friendly service, the wait went pretty quick and the food came out before I could even finish the delicious cold brew coffee.
Ehh wasn’t impressed with my omelette. Food wasn’t very hot. I was looking forward to a hot cup of coffee with cream and sugar and no regular sugar no sweet n low. Oh well. The place was fairly busy so they must be doing something right.
The best place for breakfast/brunch!! All the menu items are delicious and their drinks are great too. My personal favorite is the hash with bacon, onion, and avocado (hasn't been on the menu for years, but you can special order!) The energy is always bright and friendly, and the staff is courteous.
Went for breakfast, food was as good as any I've been too and prices were reasonable. Free parking across the street from restaurant, so avoid the meters. Wait was polite and prompt. Recommend for those in Charleston that don't want to eat at franchise fast food.
Very nice and clean environment. The employees were very helpful and upbeat. The food is always good and fresh. I would recommend this place to any of my friends or family members. I never have any problems when I visit here. Great experience!
I'm writing this review after breakfast number 5 at First Watch. Do you remember when your parents transitioned from regular running to "power walks" at the mall? That's exactly the vibe I'm getting from the servers both in their "daddy knows best" menu suggestions and their New Balance™ themed work uniforms. On a regular week day, you'll be seated immediately and given some surprisingly good coffee. The menu ranges from greasy spoon favorites like biscuits and gravy or skillet hash all the way to hipster pseudoscience like quinoa medley and kale themed health infusions. I've never been disappointed by either. The service is fast and friendly and food is surprisingly good.
On a recent visit, the waitress dropped one my poached eggs on the table, gingerly picked it up bare handed, and made lengthy awkward eye contact with me while apologizing. She could have just plopped it on my English muffin and I would have eaten it. However, the replacement was delicious.
I'll definitely be back.
Love this chain, but this particular location is a step down from others. Ordered the BLT Benedict with breakfast potatoes. The bacon was undercooked, avocados brown and small, and one of the “poached” eggs was more hard boiled. On top of that the potatoes (which are normally my favorite) were also undercooked and weren’t crunchy at all.
On a positive note the coffee and the service was excellent, but doesn’t make up for the meal.
Great breakfast!!! Healthy options and the coffee was fresh and excellent!
Great food. It was really busy when I went , but the wait time was pretty short. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Its a nice place to eat if you want to start to eat healthy.
AMAZING. Best breakfast ever. Belgian waffles are airy and the compote was the best. Ate there 2 days in a row
Whole grain pancakes were pedestrian. I ordered the carrot cake and pecan only after being assured that there weren't any raisins...but there were lots, far more numerous than pecans. The warm maple syrup, though, was the real thing! Our server was stretched thin during this crowded time, but did a good job.
Service was good. Wide variety of food options from healthy to yummy and everything in between. However, their iced coffee is not just coffee it's more like chocolate milk with lots of sugar.
Stopped in on our way through charleston. Lots of breakfast options, everybody liked their meal, service was decent. It's very busy on the weekends but worth the wait. Their juice menu is pretty good too.
Service was excellent and food was even better!
Had tomato basil soup served piping hot and salad was perfect. Banana crunch pancake shared for dessert was served hot and was wonderful!
This is not a local eatery, it's a chain!!
If this is the best place for breakfast in the area, Charleston, WV has a long way to go!! The food was served warm, my order was absent of the cheese and the egg looked sunnyside and not scrambled. On the "up-side", we met a nice couple during our 20 minute wait and our waitress Ashley was friendly. I would only eat here again if there were no other options.
I was a bit aprehensive about the menu because so many of the options were what I'd consider to be bursting with flavor. Personally, I have a bit of a bland pallet but I found a few options that hit just the right balance. Their staff was prompt and friendly and prices were very reasonable.
We went with friends while visiting Charleston. The breakfast was amazing! The bacon was incredible- more like a dessert than a side. The sandwich that I got was fantastic. We will go back the next time we are in town!
Nice place, clean, friendly informative staff. If you have allergies -- speak up as they have an allergy menu. Be aware their omelets do contain milk but can prepare a dairy/milk free version upon request.
Great breakfast and lunch cafe. Very happy with the service and food quality. Will be coming back again for sure.
Always great food & friendly service. I've never had a bad meal here. New fall menu is fantastic!
Had a yummy healthy salad with chicken slices. I'm usually skeptical about the value of trendy grass fed and free range meats. However the chicken on my salad tasted just like the more flavorful homegrown chicken I remember eating as a kid on the ranch...so can't wait to try another chicken dish here soon!
The only healthy food joint in the area that was open on sunday. Had to wait for half an hour to be seated. Some food is not the greatest taste (specifically the oatmeal) but service was very nice.
This is a great family restaurant with fresh healthy choices. The wait staff is super friendly and the food is just delicious. All of this at a reasonable price. Got to meet one of the owners and let me tell you the staff follows her direction by bring so personable.
Friendly quick service makes this diner something I would recommend. Does it feel like a national chain.
Seasonal pumpkin pancake breakfast yummy. Their food never fails to meet expectations.
Really great food and a caring staff that really made our experience feel personal even though it was just a breakfast. Highly recommended.
Pretty gosh-darn good.
One of our favorite breakfast destinations in Charleston. I always get the hash bowl and a speed of bacon. At least, I will always get it until the doctor says I can't eat like that anymore. The kids love the pancakes, and there is something for everyone. They even serve cold Brew coffee, which makes my wife happy.
Top notch! The manager went out of the way to accommodate our needs for a wonderful, healthy breakfast on the go since we had a long road trip ahead of us. Delicious eggs with avocado, turkey sausage, fresh-squeezed orange juice, delicious Real fresh fruit, and English muffins I wish we had one of these in our town--but look forward to going back when we return :D. Much thanks!
Food was superb. The staff was friendly and they checked on you periodically.
Great food, good atmosphere and great service.
I have never dined in at First Watch I always call and order take out! The food is really good, I've never had a bad meal! The place is always packed with locals and there is always a wait to be seated. The only complaint I have is they close at 2:30pm every day, wished they would stay open until at least 5pm!
Just passing through but so worth the stop. Food was amazing, service was stellar, Heather was an exceptionally server. She went above and beyond. Will definitely visit again, so many interesting items in this menu.
Great food and wonderful staff/owner. We went there 2 mornings in a row during our weekend stay in Charleston, and this morning, our daughter decided to be the stereotypically terrible toddler. After disrupting the whole restaurant, my husband and I took turns eating and walking her around outside. Went to pay the bill, and the owner came out and gave us a free meal card, because, as she put it, "we all have these days as parents." Several other staffers smiled warmly and agreed, "we've been there." Extremely grateful and determined to pay it forward today. :)
Avocado toast anyone? Seriously, this place is where you need to try it. Service is fantastic and the food is scrumptious!
First watch in Charleston is a franchise restaurant that works like a mom and pop diner. All the food is prepared in house. It's fresh; healthy options are available (I'm partial to the Power Wrap) and coffee comes hot by the potful, left on the table.
The wait staff is excellent and friendly.
Be prepared to wait for a table during peak hours! First Watch is very popular.
Delicious food! Portions were not *quite* as large as I had expected (maybe it was just the dish I ordered), but the food was very good and the staff is super friendly. Will be coming back again!
Great atmosphere. Very clean
Good food. Good service. It claims to cater to health conscious eaters, but is still very carb heavy, though they did have a lot of interesting choices and I was able to find a carb free, veggie heavy meal, but I think it was the only one unless you piece it together.
Special avacado toast with crab. Soooo good.
Great food and great price. The staff are are amazing. They are tentative and respectful. The price for the amount of food you receive is above and beyond any other competition.
I went to visit my friend Charleston. He took me to this place for breakfast. I really loved it. Friendly environment , good service, and the food is really good. It’s very popular place there. Sometimes you have to wait little longer. I recommend this place.
Delicious! Vegetarian friendly menu with diverse, healthy options. They were very busy and we had a group of 8. They still served us quickly without errors!
The food is good. The service is always great. My only complaint is in the layout and organization of the front desk. It's always busy with only a few chairs. It often ends up a pile of people and you're not sure who is in line to pay or get their name on a waiting list.
Food was fantastic and served fast! Service was great and very friendly! The smoked salmon eggs benedict was amazing!
Great menu! Always fresh food at decent prices
Always fast friendly service and delicious food. The Chickichanga is my favorite goto breakfast with black beans and pico. A safe place to go during the Covid pandemic.
Always get us right when we come in town and visit... breakfast is always great and the kale tonic and morning meditation is the best... just had a bad situation on Sunday... my food was not cooked the way I asked for it to be cooked... I've eating here all weekend and Shane took good care of us both times... the 3rd day was bad...
Best french toast I’ve ever had. Paired with their “Million Dollar Bacon” and OH MY! If you haven’t been, I highly recommend you give them a try!
First watch is great! If you love breakfast food its the place to go! They also have a healthy menu which is fantastic. Not only do they have great food but you always run into someone you know there.
Fabulous breakfast, but avoid on weekends as you will be waiting an eternity for a table. The juice is very good, bacon and eggs done well. Fairly nice inside and an OK location a bit off capitol street.
The food is awesome! I had the wild mushroom frittata. Probably the best frittata I have ever had. Even the toast was amazing. Atmosphere could use some improvement, but I will definitely be back!
Great breakfast venue. Million dollar bacon is to die for.
Great place. Food was very good
Food is fantastic and fresh! I love the daily muffins and the coconut chia seed pudding is the bomb! The wait can be a bit long on the weekends but it's always worth it!
Delicious healthy food with the best customer service.
The juice bar tonics along with their blueberry or chocolate muffins are the best. We eat here weekly and each time the food is great.
Great breakfast and the iced coffee is very good!
My family and I LOVE coming here!!
One of the best restaurants in Charleston. We love the morning meditation and the fun special menus.
One of my favorite breakfast restaurants. Although it gets very crowded on the weekends it's worth the wait. Fresh ingredients. Seasonal options. Menu doesnt change often but why change something that works so well.
This was my first time dining here. I ordered the classic Eggs Benedict. It was tastey. However, the thing that make me want to come back was their Kale Tonic juice. DELICIOUS!
Really great food, it’s fresh and healthy, the coffee is fresh and hot, nice friendly service and wait staff checks in regularly to see if you need anything :) would definitely eat here again! The chikichanga is really good i added pico de gallo. My husband got the Smoked salmon Benedict and it was delicious!! Their fresh greens have a light lemon dressing. And fresh fruit cups.
Absolutely phenomenal. Mushroom hash was great. Staff very personable and attentive. Steven was a wonderful server!
Great food, Great service. Don't make the mistake of thinking it's just breakfast. Lunch/brunch items are great too.
Long wait but we'll worth it
We were there on Mothers Day. As you might imagine it was crazy busy. I can forgive a lot of things, but the server repeatedly seemed distracted and inattentive. He brought the wrong kind of juice, 2 water glasses for a table of 7, missed a drink order, had to come back to the table to get 2 orders a second time, slow on refills of water and cofee ect.... when to food came out, one order was wrong and one order was missing..... the wrong one was quickly corrected, but the missing one wasn't out until the rest of the table was almost finished.
Now the good.... the food was excellent! And the manager was attentive, saw the problem without us making a fuss, fixed, and made things right in a very generous way. Overall we left satisfied.
It's hit or miss, mostly hit. However don't order the biscuits and gravy (REALLY) I wish they offered something better than tap water. Other than that I have had mostly amazing food!
Stopped in on a road trip for breakfast when Panera down the road was closed. Glad we did. Clean, friendly service, and good food. Way better than Panera. Glad that one was closed.
We had steak, egg and hash bowl and it was delicious. I would recommend it. Service was great and not a long wait
Damn good breakfast and good service.
If I could give them six stars, I would. I LOVE first watch and know their food is amazing and service is friendly. Not a fan of chain restaurants while traveling, but this is the exception to that.
Menu variety is excellent. The lemon ricotta pancakes are the stuff of legend! Service was quick and very friendly. The menu is priced appropriately for the portions and quality.
Clean restaurant, friendly staff. Great food at a great price. Nice options from menu too.
Came to Charleston for a business trip. Heard about this place and decided to try it out. Kale tonic juice is delicious. It has just the right amount of kale and lemon. I got chickichanga as per recommendation of my server. Definetly will come back here again.
Good food(lovely presentation as well), nice staff, awesome atmosphere. If there was anything I didn't like, it was the wait; the line was long. On the same token, it was worth the wait
Very good food, but a long wait and slow service on weekends. Parking is a bit difficult but the location is good. The drinks are good and varied, and the menu items are clever.
Small chain restaurant that felt like a locally owned place. Food was very good, nice selection and some specialty stuff such as gluten free. Not cheap but I think not much above average prices.
Wow. Best breakfast in Charleston! Excellent service and seriously diverse menu. Everyone was happy. First recommendation for breakfast in the area.
Great service
Good place, fast service, delicious food.
The staff are courteous and efficient. The food was the "bomb" ,fresh, tasty and satisfying. Amanda was a informative and helpful server. You have to do this while in Charleston.
Great service most of the time with a smile and friendly. When they are busy though, seems as if they are short on staff and never enough room. Great food, decently priced. Not a quiet place either.
Always a 5 star rating every visit! With quality food, wonderful staff and not too pricey this is number one on my breakfast spots in Charleston!
Very good breakfast, fresh ingredients that were cooked just right, great service too.
It's a b'fast & lunch place. We had b'fast items (eggs, pork sausage link - quite good - & a muligrain pancake) which were good but were b'fast items. We did not have lunch items so I cannot comment. Went on a Sat just after noon. Free parking across the street; minimal wait & very convenient to I-77. A nice little local place which is worth a stop.
If you go you have to have the orange juice, and take a fresh juice to go. They have large portions, all fresh ingredients, and all the food is scratch made. The staff was friendly, helpful, and make great suggestions when you don't know what to choose. I love this place
My gracious. What wonderful and unique food options and how they turn it out so quickly is amazing. Great idea in dropping off the check when serving the food--no waiting!
There are a ton of fresh and flavourful dishes to choose from here. Everything I've gotten I've absolutely loved. I try new things each time I go and they don't disappoint!
Excellent food and great service!! I switched it up this time and got the Italian Sausage omelette... absolutely delicious!!
Thanks. It was delicious. My son is a very picky eater and we had to sell him trying the bacon...he loved it...now he wants us to make it that way.
Great food and very friendly staff. Got our party of 7 seated quickly and comfortably, even in the times of social distancing/Covid
Food was delicious! They had very unique menu items. Everything tasted fresh. Friendly staff.
Awesome breakfast experience!
This was a nice place. It was nice. Good server. Good food. Soups, salads, shrimp. All was liked. Price was ok for what you get. Nice place.
Place is very clean. Food was great. Service was awesome. I will be back.
Although it took a minute for the food to come, it was hot and fresh. The waiter was nice as well.
What can I say....First Watch is awesome!
I'd say that one of the only short comings is that it's not open later than what it is. Great food.
Personal favorite for breakfast while downtown. Perfect for takeout during social-distancing, expect wait times of up to one hour once normal service resumes.
It was awesome very busy for a sunday but the food was amazing i had the med egg bake. Our server was great very friendly. Great job
Great place for breakfast or lunch. Quality food. Service is on point by being both courteous and efficient.
I can always count on this place to have great service and even better food, along with a wide variety of healthier options. Definitely worth a trip for breakfast or lunch.
I've searched for a while for a morning breakfast place, but there weren't many diners in Charleston. I've been here twice in two weeks and it's my new Sunday brunch place.
Food was excellent. Definitely a great place for a late breakfast. Service was extremely quick and friendly. Would definitely come back.
Just stopped in for coffee today, but the staff was super friendly and the menu looks phenomenal -- will be back!
The food and services is amazing! Farm to table fresh. Definitely a must visit place to eat.
Had some bacon call million dollar bacon and it was delicious 😋 would order it again
Highly recommend this chain. Food is so fresh! We have been to First Watch on Columbus Ohio & here. Definitely worth the price.
Awesome service and even better food. The turkey burger was the best I've ever had.
Great breakfast with pleasant service. I'd go back.
Great menu and service as well as delicious food. Can be crowded, so don't be in a rush. The line moves moderately fast.
Friendly, quick, delicious
Excellent food and service!!!
Reasonable prices, convenient downtown location. Parking is a little pricy @ $.75 for a half hour but the meters accept credit cards.
Great food and options a the way around. Parking was difficult given the area and wish there was more insight on that. However, if I had that sorted, I'd give 5 stars, and that is bc of how much parking was an issue.
Awesome service food is great. Only issue last two visits the food has been not as hot and fresh as previous visits. 🙁 …
Wonderful spot for breakfast or lunch. It kind of reminds me of a hotel restaurant, like one at LaQuinta or Courtyard, something like that. Good portions, excellent coffee. Solid spot I would say.
Wow! We found them by accident, so glad we did! The Smoked Salmon Fritata and Lemon Curd pancakes were unbelievably delicious!!
LOVE this place! I got everytime I'm in Charleston! Healthy options and it's all delicious! Great staff too!
Never been to a first watch and have to say it was outstanding. Look forward to going back.
Best variety menu and food quality around.
A little pricey, but worth it. Excellent, friendly service.
Delicious food and great service. Prepare to wait though. It's a very popular place and only open for breakfast and lunch.
Omg 😲 very delicious and healthy food …
Great food! Make sure you arrive earlier than planned, because sometimes there is a wait to be seated, but its worth it!
One of the best breakfasts in Charleston. The coffee is always good and they often have specialty pancakes and fruit juices
My waiter was so great he needs a raise the food was amazing and I got say firstwatch always has amazing waiter combine with great food it makes for the greatest experiences
Breakfast lunch place. Healthy choice s like high protein emphasized. Interesting specials. Good service. Expect a wait on the weekends.
Pork chops breakfast not exactly what iam not a custom to ? Chop tasted alot like a really thick slice Applewood smoked ham ! But other than that and pricey not bad !
Great food when I’m there on business that’s where we eat good people and on point food and all the people there bless there hearts for going back to work to help us people enjoy a place to eat
The food was amazing and so was the staff. Absolutely recommend!
Great breakfast...friendly service....highly reccomend 👍 …
Great food, haven't had anything I didn't like, waiters and waitress are very nice, the OWNER is the best, love that place
Great food, only open till 2:00p. The place is busy on the weekend we try to be there Friday about 10:00a for breakfast . That way we miss the breakfast rush and we get there before lunch.
Great place for a good breakfast well worth the money
Food is always good here. They are only open for breakfast and lunch and can be quite busy at times, but it is worth the wait.
Delicious food with kind service. You're paying for a good meal, expect to pay a dollar more per person for the high quality environment.
Awesome food. Outstanding service. The atmosphere is wonderful for breakfast or brunch. The breakfast tacos are the best!
This is a great local restaurant with a farm-to-table vibe. Most foods are locally and sustainabily sourced. Fantastic options including some vegan and many vegetarian options. Nearby parking structures.
Great place, wonderful food. I eat here at least once a week. Staff is very helpful and friendly.
Awesome food, great atmosphere! The owner is wonderful! We visit every time we're in Charleston.
Hot coffee, great breakfast, on a cold winter morning.
My server, Hailey, brought service with a (contagious) smile!
First time there but was amazing and food came out quick! Will be going back soon!Healthy food!
I have enjoyed everything I have ever ordered here. Great food and wonderful service.
Love Not Guilt Your Honor, which is is in this picture. But so many delicious dishes. Super staff
Great healthy food! Friendly employees. Prices are reasonable. Will definitely go back!
Great place to eat with excellent choices for the healthy and the hungy
New seasonal menu was excellent! We tried the crab asparagus omelet and Barbados benedict...both full of meat and seasoned well
Trendy and pricy. Brunch meal for 4 (inc. 1 child) = $58 w/tip. Trendy-size portions, but what was there was tasty. Service A+.
Food is always excellent but I'm giving 4 stars due to a lack of changing tables in the mens room. Its frustrating that in 2019 there's not a changing table in the mens room.
Very good breakfast and lunch entrees. Relaxing atmosphere in a downtown location. Specialty drinks r very good, worth ordering.
Great food, great service, but some waiter's don't explain how items are charged to orders until you question them about a charge for a whole lot of coffee when you ordered 1cup
The food is always fresh and it's so nice to be able to grab a cup of coffee or infused water while waiting for a table.
Great unique breakfast food, best tasting coffee, friendly staff, food made quickly, and pretty reasonable prices
I loved the prices! Lol it's affordable but had flies in the dinning area didn't like that!!! But it was bugging us but please do something about it
First time I've ever been here for breakfast. It was OUTSTANDING!!! I had the chickichanga oh my god the sauce on this thing is amazing!! #cantwaittogoback
The food is very good and they service was great! Everybody was friendly!
Very good, healthy fresh food with friendly service. Usually crowded so get there early.
Food was good as always. Never have a bad experience here.
Never disappointed. The food is fantastic, had the Monterey Club and Chicken and rice soup today. Outstanding.
Great food. If you are from a metro area, you will love it here for breakfast or lunch. Great vegetarian and healthy options.
Service was good and food was too. I really enjoyed the coffee.
Server Nate helped me veganize a dish, and it was yummy! Great service, good food, clean and bright atmosphere
Best, freshest food in town. A little pricey but worth every penny, great food, great service.
Unfortunately this Firstwatch is not on no wait. Firstwatch is one of our favorite breakfast places, food is always delicious and served hot and fresh.
Excellent amount of alternative dietary selections, which can be rare in Charleston. Friendly staff, clean environment, and a pleasure to spend time here.
VERY hard to get into on a Sunday. Food is pretty good, definitely consistent. Service varies depending on how busy it is
Great as always. Really a nice place to eat and I especially like the single stool at the Bar, for eating of course.
I love the environment, the service, the presentation, and of course the quality of the food. I don't go often, but I ALWAYS come away completely satisfied
First Watch is consistent whatever restaurant I have visited. Good menue sélection focusing on breakfast clean premisis and attentive stafff
Always great food! Good service!
About the third time I've went, food was good and the service was great. Great place for breakfast or lunch
I'm a regular in this place. It is a very reliable breakfast place. They are flexible and will prepare what you want if you can describe it.
Great food and good service. The portions are small and a little expensive for what you get though.
Must visit. Friendly staff and speedy serving times. Never had a bad dish from this place.
Pretty pricey for the quality of food I received. Overall would eat her again.
Best breakfast in town. Just wish there were more places like this in Charleston because it gets very crowded sometimes.
The food, and service is always awesome!
The food is always amazing we go just about every weekend. If you go ask for Kimberly she is so sweet and kind.
Great locally sourced place to eat. Delicious food!
How is this the only breakfast joint in downtown Charleston? Food and service is great but it's always jam packed.
Fantastic place for a very nice brunch! Excellent food! Highly recommended.
Nice modern menu for what people want today. Aka avocados, kale, flax. Incorporated into classics like pancakes, French toast, egg sandwich.
The food and atmosphere are great. Even when it's busy the food still comes out good.
Great breakfast and diner inspired lunches. Tends to be on the healthier side. Typically good service.
Good food. I would share a pic but its halfway gone. Chelsea's running it very well.
Go to meal -- BLTE
First time here and I was impressed with the Cinnamon Chip muffin and the chicken sausage patties. Very good
Delicious... Nice casual atmosphere
Smoked salmon fritatta, carrot juice and lemon pancakes! Their food was fruit and tasty
We love First Watch. Healthy and delicious food and it always comes from a friendly waiter/waitress.
Great breakfast chain. Can't go wrong with a skillet and a kale tonic. Can get busy on the weekends.
Good food and pretty fast even at lunch rush hour.
Busy place. Great service with a smile and decent breakfast food. Gotta get the shrimp and grits
Great healthy options! Fantastic avocado toast. Good service. A bit pricey.
Food is great. Atmosphere is friendly.
Never ever had anything that wasn't delicious here. Chickichanga is my favorite!
Great food. Excellent service. Heather was fast and friendly.
Visited on mother's day. Food was amazing and service was fast when though they were incredibly busy!!
Kale tonic and the chicken chonga always my go-to. Today I tried the millionaires bacon. Out of this world a must try if you stop in this place!
If you like breakfast food, this might be the place for you. If you don't like breakfast food, then what is wrong with you.
Good food and the staff is nice.
Quick service, very short wait time courtesy of pandemic...hardly any change with the menu
I love the farmhouse skillet hash, it's a warm inviting brunch place, good for food and chatting!
Great food for brunch. Nice staff, very good service.
Good food. Clean. Love that they have unique fresh dishes.
Awesome breakfast and great service! I highly recommend a visit here
Tasty breakfast food with friendly staff and daily specials. Easy parking in a convenient location
Absolutely love to come here. Their kale tonic is delicious and fresh. Nothing that I have tried here is bad
Nice breakfast and lunch eatery. A bit pricey but excellent food.
First watch is a great place for a breakfast meeting. I really appreciate how fresh the food is,salads and fresh fruit-yum!
Excellent food! Great service, differently a local best
Extremely busy, but the food and service were good. Nice wide selection of healthy and less healthy options.
Great healthy eating place. Staff was friendly and food was great
Great food, good prices, plenty of healthy options. They include caloric information on their menu.
Very good food and servers, but when it’s crowded the people up front taking your money are quite rude.
Great food, great service. Love the juice. Everything is so fresh.
It was great, service is great, food is good.
Best place for breakfast & best pecan pancakes in Charleston. Has good mix of options.
The food is always decently good but the service is awful even if you make a reservation it’s still a 30 minute wait on top of that when you do order it’s another 30 minutes and the tables are always super sticky
Healthy food prep. I would ho back there. Service was good. Food was delish.
Food always very good to excellent! Service is timely and friendly and cost better than expected.
Stopped here while travelling, great place for breakfast. Will stop here next time thru!!
We go here about 3-4 times a month. Staff is awesome and the food is always on point.
The only place in the world with better French toast than I make. It's worth the hassle of parking.
Delicious food, and willing to accommodate our varies nutritional needs. Fantastic omelets.
Try the kale tonic while it's still in season. The smoked salmon eggs Benedict is eggcellent!
The best breakfast in town. Everything is fresh and they have plenty of healthy options.
Food and service is great!! One of Charleston's best eateries!!
Great food. Great service with quality and freshness.
Would be 5 stars if it wasnt so difficult to find a parking spot. Good luck finding a spot around lunch time!
I had my favorite, Egg White Omelet with Turkey Sausage. So fresh and delicious!
Always great food and service at First Watch!
Great breakfast place. Lots of choices, reasonable prices, and great customer service
Crowded, but always great food and great service!
Such a great place to meet with friends, menu gives you SO many options.
Great food, but a bit pricey for breakfast
First Watch has some amazing breakfast, brunch, and brunch choices. The hash bowls are awesome!
The food isn't bad but I don't personally think it is great. I also believe it is a little expensive.
Best Brunch place in Charleston. Great customer service. Good food.
Yummy juice bar and great breakfast! The staff was very friendly as well.
Always a great experience. Food is awesome and staff is always top notch!
Bunch of people waiting in line to get in at noon on a Saturday....just gonna say you're sleepin' on Black Sheep down the street.
Been here a few times and I'm always seated quickly and given fast service no matter how busy they look.
Best breakfast in town. Friendly staff and prices are perfect.
Amazing!! I've never had anything here that wasn't top shelf...
Best breakfast/ brunch in town. Fab coffee, great servers.
Great spot. Pumpkin pancakes are perfect. Excellent food. God service.
