The Owners are very involved in the community & facilitate benefits all year round! There’s a very unique shopping area & outdoor dining! A destination for locals for many decades! Trust ur gut & give these folks a visit! Pickup Wings for all your needs! They even have authentic Lebanese cuisine handed down generations! A must to visit while in WV! Listen, I use to love this place for wings. However, I was VERY disappointed this time. The boneless wings were overcooked and just were awful. The picture of the wings are of the ones I could NOT eat because they were so overcooked. Also, the waitress we had waa horrible. We had to hunt down another waitress to evenget refills. The only bright spot was the apps (mushrooms and pickles) as those were good.

Great locally owned & operated establishment!!! The wings are well deserving of their awards, never have had a bad salad. Ana is the absolute best server! 💯 she's on her game. Bar tender could have been less chatty and quicker on the pour but I guess you'll have that at the local watering hole. Love the layout also, gambling parlor is on point as well except the short guy working wasn't very attentive and slightly rude also. But main focus is the food and it is well worth it! For sure give them a try or another try!

First time going here have heard they have good wings. I got some boneless lemon pepper wings and they did have good flavor. Husband got a crispy chicken sandwich and we were shocked as to how big it was, he said it was good also. Prices wasnt to bad either

Great food and a huge beer selection. This most recent visit was a major let down in service. We waited thirty minutes for our server to try to get more drinks. Just ended up cashing out and leaving after we got tired of waiting.

Always enjoy a trip to the Cold Spot. Tried their PSB pizza today, very enjoyable. Wife had boneless wings with the Golden Barbecue sauce, a favorite of ours, it's a great mix of mustard, buffalo and barbecue.

This place has always been my favorite place for boneless wings. Best there is. I ordered 6 boneless wings and a half size salad and when I got my receipt they charged me $5 for the half size salad but there main Google web page is incorrect saying a half size salad is $4 and whole for $6 this needs updated online because its $5 for half and $7 for whole. Manager made it rite with a can of soda. Thanks again. I Will be back again soon.

Had some wings delivered to the Holiday Inn as a snack while visiting from Virginia. Wings were hot even after 30 minutes of being delivered and tasted fantastic. Lemon pepper is good but could use a tad more seasoning or maybe some dipping sauce on the side. Overall 10/10.

Washington Street Location!! Facility is clean and welcoming, staff are friendly & Food is great!! Monday night game night everyone wore team colors and I noticed several people catching up about the day or week, appears to be a regular hangout and sports hotspot/technically Cold Spot!!😂 I ordered a cheeseburger altered- added the portobello and cheese a must try!!! Deep fried-mushrooms were very good and we tried the cauliflower which I will admit was ok just steamed with some seasoning butter and Aioli sauce- which I am not a fan- not because it wasn’t done well but just because I don’t like it. A Remoulade maybe a good alternative but anyway , my daughter had wings which were Awesome as Always in multiple choices of sauces!!! Sorry I didn’t get more pictures. I definitely suggest this place for anything from business meetings to hanging out watching the game on any of the multiple TV’s !!! Great Job guys!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Awesome place if you're a wing lover. Even the boneless "wings" are great, they're gigantic chunks of juicy white meat. Plenty of regular and craft beer to choose from. A staple of the West end of Charleston.

The wings were delicious.. once we got the right ones. Ordered traditional and were brought grilled tenderloins.. She re-rang them in but we didn't get the 2 sauces we ordered just the one. Service is slow.

The wings are amazing!! The breading isnt too thick but is still crispy. The actual chicken was so tender. Loved the BBQ Gold & Ranchero sauces. Cant wait to come back and try some more :) I like the outdoor area and how there's TVs even outside. Was really nice especially during COVID requirements.

They have a very wide range of draft beers to choose from. They have about 27 big screen TV's. Their boneless wings and Greek salad with Gyro are out of this world delicious!! I highly recommend for people of all ages!! It's not just a bar. It's a sit down full service restaurant!

I remember this place before the fire. It was a dandy then and the newly rebuilt version is no different. Great family sports environment (not a bad seat in the house because you're surrounded by big screens everywhere!), big patio section, consistently good on food & drinks, and the staff are as nice as they could be. The parking is sometimes challenging but that's because they're good. Easy ADA access.

UPDATE: I am taking the owner at his word for now, and changing from 1 to 4 stars. I have not been back on a Monday to see if I could get that burger, but I did get the correct price on a more expensive pizza on a Thursday night. ***Original post: On menu and on the side of the building, they advertise daily specials. On Monday, they list any sandwich or hamburger for six dollars. They will not honor this for the impossible burger. There’s no language on the ad, or in the menu that says the sandwiches excluded, but they refuse to honor the advertised price. Staff was Nice enough about it, but her only explanation as to why this was the case was that “they do what they want” Well, I am going to do what I want, and support a different business. Super dishonest.

The bone in wings grilled with Ranchero rub are delicious! Kid friendly and lots of room. Our server was fantastic especially considering she was new and we had many different orders. My only complaint would be that they regularly have on hand their butter garlic parmesan dipping sauce it's fabulous with the grilled wings and boneless too!

I've been going to Cold Spot since I moved to the area in 2017. The salads are awesome, the wings are delicious, and the staff is great. My son stops by often after school and the staff are always nice to him. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner last Friday by chance when I was picking up my order and love this place even more after talking with him. He was kind and down to earth. He told me how that day, June 3rd, was the 50th anniversary for Cold Spot. He spoke of adversity he and his wife dealt with initially when running the business those first few years and how over time the community began to embrace him and his wife. He told me in the humblest way how he had done every job there from cooking to prepping to cleaning to running the register. Keep in mind, he was actually running the register (as the owner) when I was picking up my order and greeted his staff as they walked by- he laughed and said he didn't run the register often anymore and apologized for taking an extra moment ringing it up. I told him I have been to all three Cold Spots. He told me he used to sleep in the basement (I'm assuming as they were getting the business off the ground). He then picked up my food and walked it out to the car with me helping me get it in the car. This was a very brief talk, but it actually made me look at Cold Spot in a whole new way. I will always be a customer after speaking with the owner. I could hear the dedication, perseverance, and kindness he possesses. I hope to meet his wife one day. Congratulations on over 50 years, Sir! I consider this place a staple of Dunbar (and Charleston as a whole) and I also consider it and the staff my neighbors. P.S. try the hummus, Greek salad (really any salad), and the lemon pepper wingers....my favorites Enjoy!!! Kelly

I like the wings they use. I'm not a fan of artificially fattened "jumbo" wings. Their "toxic" sauce is not only spicy but tastes great. I was told by the bartender that the sauce is made with fresh peppers. And the bartender was super friendly even though I showed up about 30 minutes before closing time. I'm not at all disappointed. Oh, and the big timber IPA was good too.

Food was good but the service was terrible girl had a attitude like i wasn't supposed to sIt at her area which would have been fine BC I saw another young lady working while she set playing On her phone and running her mouth to the hostess who didn't do her job either I sat myself and had id known I would have moved to the area where the other young lady worked i left a tip just to show her her ignorance didn't affect my night. I ordered 100 wings for a function. In my opinion, if you order 100 wings, they should come with some ranch or Bleu cheese or some kind of dressing. They do not. It was about $10 for 2 pints of dressing. The wings were a big hit, but the kids said mild was medium and medium is hot. They said wings from this establishment always are hotter than other places. As a fan of spice, I think that's nice. They also don't come with celery or anything like other places. The wings were in aluminum baking pans, which made for easy serving, but the lids were not easily reusable to store the hot wings the kids didn't eat. I think they should consider the cardboard lid method like China King. Pickup was easy, but you pick up in the gas station (not the restaurant?) Which is admittedly a little confusing.

Always a great place to eat and hang out with others. Their wings are always top notch absolutely no complaints on food. Sometimes if they are over half full capacity the food will take a little longer than you would like but at least it's worth the wait. Good selection of beer and other drinks. Or sit out on the deck. Pickup is easy. The wings are hot and fresh. Different flavors to choose from. Plenty of parking spaces. Handicapped parking. Cozy atmosphere. Clean restrooms. Best wings in Charleston? i don’t think so. Roosters, BWW, and even Pies and Pints is better. It’s okay, but I wouldn’t say “best wings in town.” The salsa tastes almost acidic, and I wasn’t satisfied overall. Service was good, and the time from when we ordered to served was short and fast. Seems just a little bit understaffed.

Went there today for the Euro Cup Final. The place is great to watch sports, TVs every where. The service was great. Jodi u were great! The wings are grilled n they have many sauce options. I had the gold BBQ n the wet limon rub sauce. Expectacular!

Traditional wings great! Boneless not so much. Service a bit understaffed so order extra drinks in case you run out while waiting for your food. My suggestion would be to pick up wings to go. If you like buffalo, you can't go wrong with the medium wings... Sooooo good. :-)

This location is perfect. The dining room is nice with very clean everything. The service was ok. Everyone was friendly. Our waitress was also running the bar so wait times were extended, we rarely got refills, and I had to get up and ask for the check. Other than that, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect for some beer with friends. I’d go here over Buffalo Wild Wings any day.

I'm a vegetarian, and I was expecting to have to get just a plain old salad when my husband suggested we go to the Cold Spot. I was, however, pleasantly surprised to find a plethora of options for me. I ended up trying their portobello burger which was fantastic! The staff was nice and helpful. I live this place. If you like wings, Gourmet salads and cold beer this is the place. It truly is the coldest spot in the heat of the summer. It's clean, the food is impressive to eat and to look at. Cold Spot is really good in the food quality. I gave them this rate though because they are SO expensive. (They do have Wing Wednesday) They are also almost always busy especially around dinner time or games. It's basically like an Applebees just a bit more expensive. The service there has always been up to par as well as their bartender's. For people like me that want to sit down with your significant other or your family and actually hear them, I would not recommend this place. If you're out with friends enjoying your time then I would go here. 👍

Environmentally Friendly Local Take Out! I have supported local restaurants and the Cold Spot for 30 years. During the pandemic I struggle with take out containers and creating plastic and styrofoam trash. The Cold Spot remains my go to for great food and now earns bonus points for the paper take out containers and paper bags. These are GREAT. Thanks Cold Spot for great local food and an caring about the environment!

Average wings, I had the Hot, Hot BBQ, and Ranchero. Very slow service, to inlcude beverages so you couldn't blame it on the kitchen. New waitress that seemed brand new, but did not have anyone helping her. With 50+ beers on tap you would think they would keep the beer menu up to date, but it wasn't. The first 3 times I tried to order from the menu they did not have it, got lucky with my fourth choice. Tried to order a second one and it took the waitress 15 minutes to tell me they did not have it. This was on a Wednesday night with plenty of open tables. The fastest turn around for our table was when I asked for the check. Maybe OK if you are local, but not worth a special trip.

I ordered food with the Uber Eats app on my phone. I had a promotion for $30 off your first order with Uber Eats. Cold Spot had my food done very quickly and it was delivered very quick as well. The food was actually really really good. The Roasted Cauliflower appetizer was amazing.

American menu with a Syrian slant: Bill makes some of the best salads, hummus & falafel plates- his Monday-Friday daily $5 specials are an amazing value (Burgers, bone-in wings, boneless wings, pita/wraps, salads in that order) as is the half-off Happy Hour. The 40 taps have your stand-by favorites as well as many local beers; great wines & well-poured cocktails keep everyone smiling (not counting the baklava & cheese cake selections!) and that's the whole point at The Cold Spot- you never hear a sour word and everybody gets along great no matter your age. Plenty of televisions to catch the latest games & races and an outdoor deck with two fire pits round out your visit. Dawn is a great bartender who had been serving folks for close to 20 years - stop in and say hello!

The wings are what keep people coming back. Boneless wings are $0.55 on Wednesdays and these are some of the best in the valley. If you like sports, there are tons of TVs for watching primetime sports as well as whatever you want to see on The Ocho. During the summer months, the outdoor seating is great.

Had a beer in honor of a departed homie. Cold Spot was there for a neighborhood guy when I needed them. Beer was cold, selection was fully plugged in to the Golden Age of Beer that WV finally joined, and the Wild Bill Burger is delicious. Perfect bar food.

Used to frequent this place when I lived in the area. That was pre-rebuild. At that time, this place was 5 stars in my book. When we were there after the rebuild, it was a little busy, but nothing out of the norm. The service had certainly taken a dive. Getting beers took forever. The food was not correct and slow to come out. Will give it another shot sometime, but as of now, I miss the old place.

Wing King of Columbus here, with another review from the road! I got a hot bbq and since you can with every order, had them add garlic. The hot wasn't over powering, but allowed me to taste the heat.
