Was here on Wednesday (the 2nd)and ordered the Veggie Gyro Deluxe Platter w/Green Beans and the Orzo Salad. My meal was outstanding!!! The Veggie Gyro was flavor packed w/fresh Veggies and w/Hummus, Cucumber Sauce and Feta. SOOOOOOO AMAZING and big that I could only eat half! The Green Beans and Orzo Salad was also flavorful and DELISH as well!! Mike ALWAYS does any AMAZING job and you definitely taste the love in his food!! Plus, him and his employees has awesome customer service!! BEST Greek food in the Valley!!💯❤❤❤

A great little gem tucked away in the Edgewood neighborhood on Charleston's westside. The food was tremendous and the service was fast. We grabbed a table outside and enjoyed the later summer early afternoon sun. There is plenty of parking on the street and they also offer takeout. I would definitely recommend a gyro or any number of other Mediterranean dishes.

Passing through town and stopped on a whim looking for healthy food. We had the souklavi salad and the chicken pita. Delicious and quick - definitely recommend. Nice outdoor seating as well.

Ordered spaghetti and meatballs and my friend ordered a gyro. We both enjoyed it very much and would love to come back here again but it isn't on our trip route. Very heartbroken. Some of the best garlic bread I've ever had and while it isn't very strong the spices are really suiting for the bread. The meatballs are also really amazing and are seasoned really well.

Undoubtedly the Best, that says it all. From quality, quantity and flavor of the cuisine to the genuine friendliness of the owner and staff. The Best of Crete is my all-time favorite Charleston restaurant. I love the variety and value of the menu. They even offer a daily special which makes all the better. First time diner? I'd recommend the 'Taste of Crete', an amazing sampler, which includes a slice of absolutely decadent Baklava. Tuesday through Friday 11a - 6p. Dine-in, pick up or delivery via DoorDash or GrubHub.

This is an awesome restaurant as a former employee, the owner is great as well as the homemade food. You can always taste the pureness and the love from Joanns recipes. Always makes the customers feel at home. I have been with this restaurant following them wherever they go for quite sometime now if that tells you anything :)

My salad was dead, but my gyro tasted okay. Not the best greek food I've ever had. I don't think I will be ordering from here again though. I usually don't eat somewhere again unless I absolutely love the food.

Great food reasonably priced. Located in a house on a residential street corner, parking is an issue. Limited seating inside and out. You can get the fixings to build at home as well. Baklava is excellent. Worth a visit. No alcohol, I wonder if I can bring my own wine? 😉 …

Delectable cuisine, but its location (being in a residential area) is a slight issue. The neighborhood in which it is located is a bit mazelike if you don’t live there, so you’re unlikely to find it randomly and decide to go in unless you are specifically looking for it. So this review is saying, “It’s good, go there,” as you kind of have to look for it.

Hands down one of the best kept secrets in Charleston. Nestled among the hills on the west side is the small, unassuming little neighborhood secret. You just can't get Greek food this good anywhere else in the state. The owner is almost always available for a handshake and a smile despite many times a line of customers right out the door. You can tell he runs a tight ship and the wait is more than worth it. Just make sure you nab a piece of the deliciously flaky handmade baklava before they run out for the day and you're all set!

I have lived all over: West Virginia, Florida, Virginia, Arizona, California, and now Colorado (for 20 years). I have never had Greek that is as tasty as Best of Crete and I miss it! Joann got me hooked many years ago when I was growing up.

Used to go here all the time ten years ago when it was in the mall and it broke my heart when it closed. When I found out it had reopened in charleston I couldn't wait to go and see if it lived up my memories. Taking that first bite of gyro was like going to visit an old friend. So glad it's back and cant wait to return for the thursday chicken liver special.
