If you want a great lunch you need to stop here!!! I found them through Instagram and I wish I had known to stop in and try their food sooner. Ended up doing a whole lunch order for my workplace for a meeting and everyone loved what they got! Great potion sizes, and not too expensive.

Seriously one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Nice service with a helpful touch. Prices are reasonable. And you can sit outside on Church Street people watching. If you are looking for a place this is it.

absolutely love the food here, it's good quality for a affordable price, which is great for people like me who are tight on cash and don't have much options for affordable food when free food is out of the question. also the fact that staff are kind enough to let you use the bathroom key without having you buy anything is wonderful, not usually something that happens much these days which is horrible for people like me who are homeless and just needs to run in really quick to go since public bathrooms barley exist anymore. so genuinely appreciate this place so much and it's always close and convenient, really great place.

As a truck driver, they have the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had in my life. Hands down. Jalapeno Cheddar Bagel Eggs Bacon Hash brown Frank's hot sauce Pepper jack cheese I tried making them at home when I'm not around, but there's just something better here. I highly recommend to stop in for breakfast if you're in the area.

The best sandwiches ever. The best, most hard working staff ever. It gets busy so you may have to wait but the wait is WELL worth it. Get a good time sally or a totally stuffed…you will not regret it!!!!

I love going to Top of the block! I have an amazing experience every-time. They are so Friendly and personable. Although the door aren’t super wheelchair friendly the staff does a great job of helping me and making the store as accessible as possible. I now recommend this place to Everyone!

I enjoyed the classic sandwich there. The combination of the Turkey, bacon, and apple was actually pretty good. I’m always skeptical when tastes are contrasting that much but I was happy and would go back for lunch again.

Great place to grab sandwiches or wraps to-go. We took ours down to the waterfront area and enjoyed them there. The maple mayo on my sandwich was super unique and delicious! Generous portions as well.

Cheap! I really enjoy cheap local food, and this takes the cake. Not only is it cheap, but it’s also quite delicious. With a diverse amount of sandwiches that are all super delicious and filling, this is by far the best sandwich shop in the city!

AMAZING sandwiches (I had the Thanksgiving-themed sandwich) and I cannot wait to keep going back for more. It's a good portion size to share with another, if you wanted. Not only is the food delicious, but the service is impeccable. Two of the sweetest and friendliest women work there (the only two employees I've seen the past couple times I've been). They make me so excited to go in and pick up my sandwich! :-)

I LOVE this place. Top of the Block is my favorite sandwich shop of all time, no contest. Great portions, fresh baked bread, crazy delicious specials. They care about everything they make and it shows. The tuna melt, the chicken salad, the total meltdown, their breakfast sandwiches (don't forget to add a hashbrown) -all so incredibly good. And, they're such nice people you always leave happier than when you came in. I can't get enough of this place!

I was looking for a quick/affordable lunch when I was on Church Street, and Top of the Block was the answer! The employees were courteous, and quickly took my order. It was ready within just a few minutes, and the quality was excellent. I had the Thai Chicken Wrap...and it was quite good! They had a few tables/chairs set up outside on the street...otherwise, I'm not sure how much indoor seating they had. But, I would definitely grab a quick lunch here again if I wasn't looking for a big, sit-down meal.

Bust muffin I’ve ever had. Also, what’s super cool, I ordered a grilled roast beef on Italian and it wasn’t toasted too long so I didn’t cut my gums up. Warm and soft.

ALWAYS! ALWAYS ON POINT!!! Freshest bread, awesome choices, veggies are very fresh and crispy, and the PRICE??? I challenge you to find a better "half-sandwich" (quotes due to the fact their "half" easily is a whole sandwich) for LESS THAN FIVE DOLLARS??? ON CHURCH STREET!?? Please never leave! We love you!!

I left a one star review years ago because of one experience from one employee. I regret that because that one person does not reflect this business and I’ve continued to come here for years after. To my knowledge they've been gone for awhile but aside from that, this business is an excellent place to enjoy breakfast. Furthermore, they’re a model business in regards to COVID-19. Polite staff, big portions, but the food was nothing special. It wasn't bad but definitely forgettable. The cheese in the soup was cold, the horseradish mayo tasted like nothing. But the ingredients were fresh and bread thick and yummy.

Great sandwich shop. The portions are large (you can get half sandwiches though) and the price isn't bad for being downtown. Good for a quick in and out or stay and eat if you like.

Small little stop on the top of Church Street. Good hefty sandwiches at a reasonable price. They had a big lunch line but we're able to jam through the crowd pretty quickly. Definitely recommended as a place to check out for a sandwich or soup!

Get the cranberry mayo. Did you hear me?? You have to get it. Really really great sandwiches, I picked some up for me and my friends and we ate them at the top of Mt. Mansfield - best sandwich I've had in a long time!

I love these gals. Nothing but great people here. I took one star off because my sandwich today was cut at the 15% vertical demarcation and not the 50% I am accustomed to. Now if I only had a tiny person with which to share the sandwich....and am reminded that I do not. Why does your sandwich cutting mock my life? Lo, I must look past this and enjoy the lovely sandwich made by the loveliest of womens. Hooray! Also, legendary chicken salad, which I am happy to report I have regularly consumed for over two years now and am still waiting for that awful piece of gristle that will cause me to forever curse the sandwich to oblivion and never buy it again. Massive props for this consistency!
