This place was great. I loved the yellow perch right out of Lake Champlain and how can you go wrong with whole belly clams. The best coleslaw I ever had. I can't wait to get back.

I waited a few minutes to be waited on, but that could have been my fault for going to the wrong counter. The food at Ray's is always reliable. They take pride in what they do and they do it well. I got fried clams and fries, it came with a wonderfully soft dinner roll and cole slaw. I also got the New England clam chowder which was bagged separately and put in the bag with my clams. I would recommend Ray's to anyone who loves seafood. After all, they've been around forever... Good be a reason for that!

Best clam strips in VT hands down.! Fries are blanched, but they need to be fried to a golden brown crispy texture on a second fry. Instead, order their awesome baked wedges. Wedges are almost four bucks for six though. I only eat two to three because they're huge. Six is the smallest order you can get. A Small clam strip, wedges, and fountain soda is over 17$ to 18$ . Place opens at 10:30, and the last two times I went, the potato wedges ( logs ) and baked potatoes were still not available by 11:30. The clam strips though...awesome.

The NE and House chowder were good! The scallops were my favorite and the coconut shrimp with the marmalade sauce was an interesting combination but tasty. I'd recommend and would visit again!

Today I went in with a really long list of my allergies , all four of the staff met together and made an amazing allergy free meal which isn't an easy task. The staff also checked in with us at the end of our meal to make sure"our bellies were full". It was a great experience, my husband and I will definitely eat there again soon.
