Best pizza in town. We had margarita with mushrooms and ring of fire and it was soo good. We also tried fresh mozzarella and the cheese board and it was also amazing. For dessert we tried cannoli and that also tasted yummy. Will definitely come again. And of course the waiter and the service was amazing too even though it was a busy night.

Pizza was very tasty! They had a lot of vegetarian options which we appreciated. Our favorite was the ring of fire. The only bad thing was that towards the end the crust is very hard a chewy, so it kind of made my jaw hurt!!! For dessert we got a Nutella thing they have and it was great!

We have lived in Vermont, NYC and beyond and this is by far the best pizzeria we have ever been to. From the craft drinks to the charcuterie to the pizza and generous salads, this is our favorite spot in Vermont and beyond. The atmosphere is chic yet casual, the food is delicious yet unassuming and I would eat here every night if I could. I enjoyed it so much I didn’t even take photos.

The service was exceptional, the vibe was fun and cozy, the waiters were all friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu, and the appetizers were all incredible. The fior di latte is made in house and comes with their scratch made Focaccia. Both the cheese, and the bread are INCREDIBLE. The meatballs are also very good- but not life changing. The pizza is honestly the only thing that wasnt great. We got 2 pizzas, and on both of them, the dough was raw in the center. Im not sure if it was an off night with the oven. But it was a bit disappointing

Pizzeria Verità is a great spot for pizza in Burlington. We actually tried to get pizza from our usual spot but the wait was 45 minutes so we decided to get a table here. We were seated immediately. The atomosphere inside was nice and the service was fast, our 3 pizzas arrived after about 15 minutes. They were delicious and Melanzana (Eggplant), Capricciosa (Artichokes, olvies and tomatoes), Sausage and broccoli rabe. The dough was fantastic and perfectly baked in a wood fire oven. The toppings were delicious and the ingredients felt very Italian. The pizzas were about 12 inches so I advise each person get their own and you can trade if desired among your friends to try the other pizzas. It was a great experience and we will certainly return again soon!

I can't say much more than all the other glowing reviews here. There's a lot of good pizza in Burlington and somehow we hadn't heard of Verita until now. When I hear pizzeria I don't think lively datenite hotspot (more red n white checkered tablecloths, kids, possibly saw dust on floor-- cause I'm old) but Pizzeria Verita was a trendy spot with atmospheric lighting, good drinks, and food. Service was attentive and quick and the charcuterie and cheese boards were thoughtfully assembled. The prices reflect the upscale, finer dinning. The pizza wasn't my favorite in Burlington but tasty. Chewy crust, fresh toppings, a thin bottom that was a little too soft--couldn't pick a piece up without two hands soft. We'll be back.

Came here for dinner and was not disappointed! Got the meatballs as an appetizer and the pepperoni pizza with hot honey (might be the best pizza we’ve ever had). Atmosphere and service was great, no complaints.

Things we loved: Their gluten-free options! Not only is there a GF crust, but they also offer a dedicated GF oven for 3 of their pizzas, very thoughtful! Our server was very lovely, I wish we had gotten his name so we could give him the props he deserves! He was young, had a great personality, knew the menu well, and knew when to interject and when to walk away. In other words, he knew how to read the table which was greatly appreciated. The atmosphere was great, we loved the intimacy and lighting of the front room. It was a little loud in there, but not a big deal. The cocktails were ON point! They were creative and delicious, and the presentation was a treat. Our beet salad was also delicious! The richness of the avocados and the texture of the microgreens complimented the beets perfectly. The Mais pizza was fun because of its unique flavors, the topping combination was definitely something I had never had before or would think to make. We were very pleased with this choice. And... we were there on a Wednesday, which is the 2-for-1 Margherita Pizza deal! Which of course we participated in... Things that could be improved: The topping spread on both the Mais and Margherita did not reach the edges of the pizza, actually, it was quite sparse along the edge of the Margherita, with a 1.5" space between the topping and the edge of the crust in some areas. When you have a 12" pizza, that is a good amount of topping-free real estate. As a pizza enthusiast, the toppings near the crust edge are something I always look out for. We are gluten-free, so we ordered the GF crust. Now in Pizzeria Verita's defense, their regular crust edge bubbles up. I assume the kitchen team is trained to place a certain amount of topping on each pizza to accommodate the rising crust. And this makes sense for the regular crust, but there doesn't seem to be any adjustment to their methods for the GF crust that does not rise at the edge. So instead, the GF Margherita pizza looked sparse and thrown together when it arrived at our table. We also ended up not eating the topping-less edges (about ¼ of the pizza) since it was really just a plain, thick, chewy cracker. (The pizza below shows one of the better slices.) Margherita pizzas generally have 3 main ingredients: tomato (in some form), mozzarella, and basil. There was very little basil on our pizza, maybe 3 basil leaves on the entire pizza. Since this 12” pizza has 3 main ingredients and costs ~$18 (over $22 with a GF crust), I would hope some more basil could be spared in the future Margherita pizzas. Although mozzarella is delicious, the basil is what really brings the flavor party! Overall we had a good time and we really appreciate the things we loved about our visit. When we go out to eat we always ask ourselves, would we return? And we both decided we would not return, it was a fun experience and a great 'one and done’ for us.

I can’t say enough about our experience here this week, for our anniversary dinner. Our server was happy to take a few minutes guide us toward cocktails we would enjoy when we asked her. And they were spectacular! We ordered the selection of 5 appetizers which came out in a beautiful array and which FAR exceeded our expectations. They were delicious and plentiful. Then the pizza we got was just out of this world delicious! (It was a special with broccoli rabe, sausage, with a tomato sauce base.) The pacing of the meal was leisurely, which was perfect for us—to enjoy our drinks and each part of the meal fully. And again, the service was excellent and professional too.

Excellent experience and phenomenal food. We came here on a recommendation while visiting Burlington. Our server, Will, was so friendly and well informed. He really knew the ins and outs of the menu, with great details about the ingredients which you don't often find. He made some great menu recommendations and we had a wonderful time. Sat outside with our corgi who was given lots of attention (and some water) by the staff. If we're in the area again, we would definitely stop in again.

Delicious Neapolitan-style pie. Their ‘Nduja pizza is very mild, especially against the backdrop of the sweet tomato base. This typical Calabrian sausage should be much spicier. That said, the dough and other toppings were spot on. My pie had a slightly overcharred cornicione as pictured, but it was OK for the rest of the group.

It was cozy, the food was tasty, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was exceptional. I went on a date and my partner picked this place. Upon entry, they checked our reservation and we were promptly seated. The menus were a little obscure in the sense they used a lot of foreign proper nouns for assorted ingredients. Allowing a small corner of one of the pages of the menu to list definitions for more commonly asked ingredients would be well appreciated. The service was thorough and courteous, but not overbearing. I digress, I'm not one who claims any degree of mastery in The culinary arts. All I know is that the pizza I was served was delivered piping hot, tasty, and running about $15 for a personal sized margherita. Maybe a tad expensive, but not enough for me to raise a significant complaint, given all the other positives.

We came here for a late dinner while on vacation at the recommendation of the innkeeper at the inn we were staying at. The pizza and salad were incredible, drinks were great, and the desserts we took to-go (cannoli and tiramisu) were delicious and packaged well. Our server Harrison was wonderful- really friendly and explained the menu well since it was our first time there. He even offered to have the anchovies from the Caesar salad served on the side which was helpful!

Always a staple on our trips to Burlington. The food is delicious and they are super accommodating towards gluten-free needs. This was our first time getting the cheese and meats board and it was amazing! The outdoor seating is nice and we loved Being able to bring our dog with us.

We stopped by on our honeymoon, and had the luck to get sat at the end of the bar with Paul (one of too highly adept bartenders in the midst of a steady rush). The staff was super kind and having worked in the service industry a fair bit, were friendly with each other, and helping out with shared work - just reading the room well and keeping waht would be a chaotic night at most places down to a smooth, dull, super tasty roar. The food was exceptional (we each had a different salad, split a plate of mind melting meatballs, and downed a pizza in record time, all of which came at perfect intervals), and specifically the beer selection and amazing cocktail Paul threw down stood out, topped off with the most balanced, perfect tiramisu I've ever had. Great mix of folks of all ages, and great energy - coupled with super cool humans? Definitely going back before we head home. Highly recommended.

Just a couple of blocks from the Church Street Market a pleasant comfortable setting. Visiting from Massachusetts, we were looking for something different. We ordered the Amalfi salad, arugula with pear, gorgonzola and walnuts. A generous portion to share and delicious. Then we had a butternut squash pizza. Unusual and again delicious. The crust was not as crispy as we would have liked, but still had a nice charred flavor. Service was great. Ani, our server was friendly and answered our questions.

Friendly staff and aesthetically pleasing space. Enjoyed antipastos, drinks, and pizza, all were fantastic. I believe the price warrants the quality of food, although some may disagree. Extremely accommodating to vegans as they offer a dairy-free cheese option (Daiya) for any pizza. 100% satisfied and will definitely be back.

Worth the stop for sure. Great atmosphere. their Pizza is thin crust. We had the prosciutto Arugula and the Broccoli Sausage. Great choices. The meatball appetizer was just average. I would skip it and make room for the Nutella pizza (best I've ever had). It was dripping Nutella! Highly recommend.

The closest I've gotten, stateside, to matching some of the top pizza places I've been in Italy. Exemplary service, fantastic tap list (and a great Amari selection as well), and incredible food at a surprisingly affordable price. I've already been twice since my first time trying Pizzeria Verità a mere week and a half ago. While busy, getting a table has been quick, so don't worry too much about reservations. Overall, definitely one of the top restaurants in the area as of late. Adding prosciutto post-bake to the Regina Margherita is an awesome combo, btw. COVID-19 Update: The pizza is still absolutely stellar, as usual, however I do have a slight gripe that have prompted a lower rating. They are charging $8 for a single, small cannoli and single, small tiramisu (which did not have the ladyfingers soaked with anything). Next door, their sister restaurant is selling two homemade cannoli for $6, and a massive slice (probably 4x larger) of tiramisu for the same price, with generously soaked through ladyfingers. It's a matter of a few bucks, sure, but $16 pre-tax for 2 small cannoli is ridiculous no matter where you are, and the same for 2 tiramisu put in plastic cocktail cups is a bit of a stretch, especially when compared to Trattoria next door. I really hope the two restaurants communicate better about this discrepancy, as both are two of my favorite restaurants in the entire state. Also, the Tiramisu during non-COVID times is probably 2x the size of the takeout version, so this doesn't represent the dining-in experience. The cannoli, however, is still outrageously priced for one, even for dining-in.

First time visit was a memorable one. The waitress was extremely professional and very accommodating to our requests. The salads were delicious and tasted fresh. Our pizzas tasted authentic and savory. Their desserts were just as good as the food, maybe even better. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable and employees all seem happy. Outstanding. They have indoor and outdoor seating options. The food was fresh and delicious. Salads were generous and filled with crisp taste. The charcuterie plate had some excellent options on it. And there are so many pizzas to choose from- all with excellent flavors. There are options to satisfy both carnivores and vegetarians.

I want to give this place 5 stars, I really do. Usually our experience here is quite pleasant. Great vibes, good food, and usually favorable service. Our most recent experience here was less than favorable. I ordered my usual Mais pizza, and my husband decided to take advantage of their 'Buy one get one free' Margherita pizza deal (yay!). While placing our order, the waitress suggested that my husband 'wait until he's finished with the first one' before getting a second pizza for himself. We were both completely taken aback... last time I checked it wasn't in a servers best interest to forecast a patrons needs and wants. My husband is a young, professional athlete, who can easily indulge in two PERSONAL sized pizzas. We were both so taken aback that he sort of just said 'okay?'. We chalked it up to her wanting to serve the other pizza warm. After waiting about 30 minutes for our food (longer than it usually takes, I'll give them that) My Mais pizza came out with no creme sauce (which is DELICIOUS). Disappointing, but not a big deal; it was still tastey. After my husband was done with his first pizza, our waitress walked by quite literally FOUR times before asking "If he still wants the second Margherita."... Yes? Its a free pizza and he's still hungry. After another 20+ minute wait, they served up the sad looking pizza (photo). We really just wanted to leave at this point, so we asked for a box for the pizza. Our waitress seemed frustrated by this. Needless to say, our experience was less than favorable.

We came in here on a cold Sunday night to grab some dinner after several people recommended it to us. The waitress was super nice and gave us information about the different pizzas and drinks on the menu. The ambience we found inside was quite nice. Classy but not too much. Certainly this could be a date spot or a family restaurant. Our pizzas were really good. It's almost as good as the original pizza in Italy! The only thing was there was not enough cheese on the capricciosa pizza. We will have to come back again in the future to try out some other pizzas on their menu!

If you visit Burlington, VT you have got to go to thise sweet little pizza parlor! Very nice interior with very big wood burning ovens. The staff are friendly, courteous and a joy to talk to. I had the POLPETTE SPECIALI meatball appitizer and SALSICCIA e FUNGHI pizza (half spicy sausage). The Polpette meatballs were superp & the mariama dauce with them was exceptional. The Sasiccia e Funghi made my tastebuds dance and my stomach beg until it was gone. Great meal, great value for the price. Oh lots of craft beers & specialty liqours & wine for your dining pleasure. Hopefully I will return!

10/10 for all aspects , the pizzas were beyond delicious and the service was amazing . Tzega was our waitress and was very attentive and quick . We went on a Thursday night around 6 and stayed until 7:30 . It wasn’t super busy . Me and my partner had the diavola pizza and capriciossa veggie pizza and they were both well cooked and they didn’t skimp out on the toppings . We did not have dessert so no comment on that ; we will definitely be back !! Def worth the drive from Montreal lol !

Honestly I couldn’t be happier. My wife and I had a great time. Will was very nice. He didn’t come over too often which is perfect. He explained all of the items and told us about the cheeses. He recommended beer from their list and also helped with our pizza choice. Overall everything was perfect. No wait, we were seated right away. We had our mask on until we were seated. Other than that no problems in regards to masks. Overall 100/100. Thanks Will. We appreciate it very much.

Very positive experience. We walked in on a Friday night and got seated at the bar. Drinks were great and the beer selection was plentiful (a few too many IPA's for my taste, but I found a nice Oktoberfest). The pizza was delicious.

Very nice atmosphere, great for a nicer pizzeria to visit with friends! Tried some of their salads and several different pizzas and mocktails. Everything was excellent very well done. The salads are big enough for two. The pizzas are a perfect size to get several different ones and share with the table or one for yourself.

Went here on a friend's recommendation while on vacation. The atmosphere was nice as they had a tent set up for patio dining. The staff were friendly and appetizers were very good, especially the beet salad and the fig jam on the cheeseboard. Pizza was good, but not great. The dough was definitely a little doughy; they give the option to cook it more but they should just go ahead with it to elevate the crust. It wasn't bad, I just had higher expectations going in.

Pizza was excellent: one of the best Neapolitan style pies I've had in the United States. The antipasti were also very good, including a caprese that had their house-made mozzarella and heirloom cherry tomatoes that still felt warm from the sun and had definitely never been refrigerated. The cocktail menu was really interesting and the drinks were well made and presented. Whoever is responsible for putting that menu together should be commended.

Really enjoyed our meal here. The service, drink list, and of course the food were all top notch. Prices were decent, and the variety was great. They have a good beer and wine selection with lots of local options. For pizza, we got a margherita and butternut squash. The marg was very good, but the butternut squash really stood out (highly recommend it). After dinner we got some tiramisu, which was also delicious. Overall it was a really great experience and I’d definitely recommend it!

After calling last minute we were able to snag a table for two from the FCFS availability , as this was a busy evening in burlington. Our server was attentive, prepared and resourceful. We told him that we were trying to make a show at the Flynn within the hour (as we’re a few other tables) and he ensured us we would be taken care of in time. He was able to deliver, and all said and done it was a reasonable price for fantastic food, with excellent service and all expertly timed. We left full and happy and immediately joined the line for the Flynn’s admittance right outside the restaurant.

We stumbled upon this gem waiting for our reservation at another pizza place. Went in just for a drink and ended up staying for appetizers, dinner and dessert. AMAZING!!!!! The cocktails were to die for. They press their own juices and make their own infused spirits. The salads were large and shareable and delish. We ordered two pizzas because we couldn’t decide and the dough was so good, flavorful and chewy.we ate at the bar and the staff was so attentive and knowledgeable. I cannot recommend this place enough. So happy. Best meal since we’ve been here on vacation. Thank you!!!

Absolutely delicious! We were originally headed to a pizza place down the street, but when we started to order, they were out of vegan cheese. So we walked down the block to this place and were so happy we did! They had vegan cheese and so many options. They even had a special BOGO Free on margherita pizzas when we went! Definitely recommend and we'll be returning next time we're in town!

I’ve eaten many pizzas in my life. Who hasn’t? Pizzeria Verità ranks among the best, imho! The crust is both yeasty and chewy, with just the right amount of salt, and they put just enough sauce on it so it doesn’t get too soggy. Their toppings are so delicious that I often order a pie without their homemade mozzarella. Scandalous! Thank you for bringing a taste of Italy to Burlington, and thanks to all the friendly staff who welcome us with such positive enthusiasm each time we visit.

Best pizza in Burlington! Their curbside system is beautifully done, and their pizza can’t be beat. (Try the beet salad and the meatballs too!) Fresh ingredients, amazing flavor combos, and a friendly staff. Reheats perfectly in a cast iron on or even in a toaster oven. Try adding the hot honey if you like a bit of spice, it’s divine. (Please be kind and overtip the employees! Restaurants are hit especially hard by the pandemic, and waitstaff are all hurting. A couple of extra bucks from everyone who orders goes a long way. 💕)

Definitely order the Colorata (beet) salad - there's something about the dressing (it's addictive!), ANY of their pizzas, and leave room for some Nutella pizza for dessert. I've never been disappointed and it's a favorite place to bring out of town guests. I hope they eventually bring back seating at the pizza bar...it's a fun place to sit and watch the magic happen.

Two for one is a great deal, these guys are professional, dealing well with the pandemic by offer contactless curbside pickup smoothly. And, it goes without saying that they make delicious pizza. House made mozzarella, interesting local seasonal ingredients as well as the classics executed to perfection. Prize winning cocktails. Great place.

Excellent food, excellent environment. Location is pretty good too - just a short walk from Lake Champlain and close to many other shops and restaurants. Decor is tasteful and complements the building and feel of the area and creates a warm and comfortable atmosphere. Service was friendly and efficient. The pizza was quite good. I grew up on the coal-fired pizza of New Haven area pizzarias and am often intolerant of lesser pizza. While clearly not at this level, the pizza here was very good and all of us thoroughly enjoyed it. We enjoyed all of our food and the experience and would enjoy returning if we find ourselves in the area again.

This restaurant is located in downtown Burlington on Saint Paul Street. Very friendly and patient staff when it comes extraordinary customer service. The menu includes Neapolitan pizzas, salads and appetizers with excellent choice of beverages. The pizzas are true Neapolitan style and are cooked in a wood fired oven. The ingredients are all natural and some I believe are imported from Italy. Just an FYI, the restaurant is open only in the evenings and it's pretty small, so they require you to have a dinner reservation. Overall, the restaurant is extraordinary and exceptional. You wouldn't be disappointed.

The food is very tasty. The Mista salad was good but a bit plain. The Italian sodas we're good but needed to be mixed more. All the flavor was in the bottom 1/3 of the glass. The pizza was outstanding but you should probably plan on 1 pizza per person. The flourless chocolate cake was very good. The crust was cooked perfectly. There is one huge negative to this restaurant. It is extremely LOUD. If it is crowded or the wrong groups are eating dinner be prepared to tell at your table mates to be heard.

Last year when were were passing through Burlington Vt, we (Kids and me) stopped at this restaurant since my daughter was gluten free. So this year when we were vacationing around Burlington we stopped there again. This time it was a busy Saturday night. I forgot to call ahead and make reservation. I explained this to the person behind the counter and was going to place an order to go. After waiting a bit he came back to me and said he could seat us as long as we didn't stay longer then an hour and half. WE gladly sat and ate. Besides delicious pizza the staff was incredible. If you love pizza, this is a GREAT dinner spot. We walked in without reservations on a Friday evening and the hostess squeezed us in. We're so glad she did! We ordered two pizzas- a seasonal vegetable one and a pizza with sweet corn on it. Wow. Both were out of this world with the best chewy crust. Their drink menu is huge and they have a great negroni and marg! The service was amazing as well!

Fairly upscale pizza place that seems very busy most of the time. It's good food but there definitely was not enough cheese on the pizza I had which was pretty disappointing because they have really good house made monserella. The crust however was very tasty! Buy one get one free margarita pizzas on Monday which is when I went. You can also go sit and watch them prep the pizzas which is pretty interesting. Overall not my favorite pizza ever but it was certainly decent.

What a fabulous gem in downtown Burlington. One of our new favorite places to visit, wished we'd have found it sooner. Sat at the bar and Chelsea was wonderful, she was busy making drinks but took great care of us. Not only in preparing our drinks and taking our food order, but also in explaining the items on the menu and patiently guiding us through the selections. The food was incredible, one of the best pizzas we've ever eaten. Highly recommend the Brussel Sprout pizza! When we were finished and considering dessert, Chelsea took the time to educate us on their Amaro Flights for an after dinner treat. Both of us enjoyed this immensely and found it to be a new and tasty way to finish our meal. Thanks Chelsea and hopefully we'll be back soon.

Great experience. Very friendly staff willing and excited to chat about local food and drinks. Good apps to excite your party. Killer pizzas stuffed with local toppings and great flavor combinations. You can tell some real though goes into them and lots of good ingredients. My favorite was the Fungi Rustico. The wood fired mushrooms adds a savory quality without losing the satisfying bite of the mushroom and the whole thing soaks up the buttery herby sauce / cheese. Will definitely try to go back soon.

In my opinion, this is the best pizza in Burlington. I’m a crust snob and their crust passes all my tests. It’s crisp and perfectly chewy. Their cocktails are delicious too. My favorite pizza is the corn with prosciutto. My only criticism is there is usually a bit of a wait on weekends and the waiting area and bar area gets crowded and uncomfortable quickly. But the food is worth the wait.

Someone had told us this was the best pizza you can find in Burlington and we now believe them! We were a group of 4 and had a phenomenal dinner here. Everything was delicious, from the appetizers to the wood-oven Neapolitan pizza pies. The chewy and crispy crust is to die for. Our dinner in late May 2020 at Pizzeria Verita was wonderful! Carefully following our state's COVID-19 guidelines, Pizzeria Verita seated us at one of the 3 tables (spaced 10 feet apart) on their outdoor patio. The staff was very accommodating and respectful and always wore masks. The indoor restrooms were spotless and available to patrons who used a mask. Despite the recording-breaking 90+ degree weather and the patio being on the west side of the restaurant, the buildings across the street blocked the sun's rays, resulting in lovely, balmy evening dining. The menu is somewhat limited from their typical menu, but it still had many delicious options. The homemade mozzarella was incredible, and the Mais pizza was delectable. They offer a full and creative cocktail bar, along with wine, carafes, and beer. We were so delighted by our evening we've made reservations to visit again next week!

Very very good, front room is a little more privacy and quiet which is nice. Our server Lexi was very good and come back multiple times throughout our meal to ask if we needed anything. The pizza is thin crust and very delicious, not heavy at all, but a large portion size. Cannoli is delicious. Definitely reccomend making a reservation, but they do not take them between the hours of 6 and 8, so 5:45 was perfect.

Went the first time for a Lyric Theatre Company pizza night fundraiser. Our server Matt was fantastic and a Lyric Alum! We shared a mushroom pizza and half artichokes on a "pizzaro?". I would have liked to try the one with artichokes and olives, but my friends didn't care for either of those ingredients. Mista salad came after the pizza. It was pretty busy so we didn't mind. Plus he gave us extra to share. Had enough to take a slice home for lunch the next day. Excellent! Will definitely come back to be a little more adventurous with the menu and check out the desserts.

Went there for the gluten free pizza, which was good. Only three options (we had the margherita), and a little pricey, but the crust was very nice. Also ordered antipasti -- olives were delicious, prosciutto was prosciutto, house-made mozzarella was good but not the best ever. Even though we ordered the pizza and antipasti at the same time, they sent the antipasti out with bread (sent it back for a new one) -- not the best sign for a restaurant trying to be gluten-free-friendly. Drinks were fine, nothing special, fairly expensive. Will stick with pizza if I go back.

Incredible traditional Italian style pizza. Verita really knows how to do it right, from the soft, delicious crust to the unbelievably flavorful toppings. Everything is fresh, and the wood fired oven really just puts the finishing touches on what would already be a delicious flat bread. Superior accountability and service. We scheduled a "Doordash" delivery and it was canceled by Doordash for an obvious mix up. After much legwork on the part of Verita, the order was restored though it arrived late. We received a well worded and considered written apology for the mistake from Verita, though as we also determined, the mistake was not theirs. Only been here a couple times, but it't already becoming a go-to spot when we're in Burlington. They have three elements that are great differentiators from other restaurants: #1 Their Antipasti menu - The selections for this "build your own" cheese and app plate are incredible. One could make a meal alone from all the choices. The cheeses are excellent as well as the meats and veggies. Plus they offer a chef's choice option, if you feel too overwhelmed to build your own. #2 Draft Wine by the carafe (or half-carafe). Verità's beer and wine menu is outstanding, but their offer to provide wine by the carafe is not only fun but a cost-clever option. The draft wines are quality and it may come as a surprise to see how many glasses one can pour for themselves from the carafe. A win-win between the patron and the wait-staff, if you ask me. #3 The Temperance Drink menu. My wife and I don't live in town, so we take turns on our date night's to dd. I have not been to another bar or restaurant that offers the quantity, quality, or creativity with their N.A. drink menu. The Temperance Drinks are not merely mocktails, but artful creations of deliciousness. Bonus tip: They are on their A game with regards to service. The place was packed and there was still someone coming round to fill our water glasses and check on our table. Bonus bonus tip: try the house-made mozzarella, you won't regret it!

The food is great across the board - A good selection of antipasti including some great salumi, creative salads and excellent wood oven pizza with a good selection of toppings and interesting combinations. And save room for the Nutella pizza for dessert. Very strong on the beverage side also - a nice selection of craft beers with a focus on local breweries, a good wine selection including quality house wines on tap. Good cocktail/spirits offerings also (17 amari!) It can be noisy when it's busy (which is usually) so just come prepared to be lively yourselves.

Not only are the staff and owner friendly and accommodating, the mozz fresh made every day, the tiramisu the best in a hundred miles, the pizza made right before your eyes, the atmosphere classy yet kid friendly, the taps and specials rotating and delicious, the foods seasonal and the location perfect, but it's also reasonably priced and incredibly consistent. Trust me on that last one, its one of the hardest things to pull off in the restaurant industry. I've never had a bad meal there, and I go there once a month. I know the menu inside and out, and I never get bored of the food. I'd say go to this place every day, but then I'd never get in the door. So, go when I'm not there, and we'll both be happy.

I am writing a review solely on takeout. I had a hankering for a Margherita Pizza , and since I kept seeing ads on instagram about the bogo I thought it would be perfect for a girls night. We called ahead and our pickup was for 6pm. When we got there it was kinda confusing how they would find us, but when the girl came out with our pizza the box was cold. Now I know its going to be different eating in and taking out but we were on time, as were they with giving us the pizza. It was super disappointing.

If you're a native of Boston or New England in general, you're probably familiar with how much of the pizza in the area follows a pretty formulaic nature and it can be a little difficult to differentiate between one Greco-Italian-Pizza/Sub Shop and the next. Burlington in general doesn't really subscribe to this and you can find a more eclectic variety of pizza in town. Verita is great pizza and my favorite pizza in town. It's Neapolitan style which is a thinner crust (simplification) than your typical pan pizza. You can tell that the ingredients use are of a high quality and that the cooks really put a lot of heart into designing the menu. Great ambiance and a great bar too, but I'm mostly about the pizza ;)

Food: The Neapolitan pizzas are perfection, with a soft, chewy, delicious crust, fresh tomato sauces that feature the tomato – not salt, or sugar, or murky flavor profiles. The house-made sausage and mushroom pizza was covered with both, and memorably delicious. The pork-beef meatballs (from the “specials” menu) were rich, flavorful perfection served with a tomato sauce that should be bottled and sold. Margherita pizza (with added soppressata) was also delectable. The tiramisu dessert, which comes in a large glass, delivers a perfect balance of coffee, chocolate and custard, none overpowering the other(s). Drinks: The cocktail/drink list is deep and (while serious) lots of fun, with innumerable beer + wine options, Aperol-based drinks, creative cocktails, aperitifs. (Were there but calories enough and time.) Ambiance: A dimly lit, spacious dining room (but full when we arrived, so we ate at the bar, which offers a full menu and proximity to the bar or pizza oven, depending upon where you sit). Overall relaxed, warm, romantic. Can be hard to hear your conversation over others, but this is a lively, fun atmosphere, so, hardly a detriment. Service: Professional, warm, accommodating. This is our new favorite place in Burlington.

The overall experience was nice, however we were apprehensive to go here in knowing a certain bartender, Jess, who has been rude in the past. I wouldn't let it deter you, but I would stay clear of her. She seemed particularly rude to my girlfriend and overcompensated by trying to be nice to me - didn't work. Not a fan.
