Reviews of Pizza 44
The service was good. They were patient as I asked a couple of questions and the food came out quickly. One thing I noticed right away was an odd smell that was slightly off-putting, but I was hungry and maybe it was something I just couldn't place.
The crust is thin and in a couple of places black from the fire, but not nearly as bland as a lot of the flatbread places, and it had a fine texture. They put a good amount of pepperoni and cheese on it, which not every place does. The cheese itself wasn't the best mozzarella, but it's a step up from big chain cheese (is Big Chain Cheese the name of my next band? Maybe.).
The broccoli was not good. It was discolored and tasted strange, and I love broccoli. The red sauce wasn't anything special, but neither was it of poor quality. The pizza was a tad smaller than some of the others around town, and a bit more expensive, but the tastes were solid if not exceptional. I'd give it a 3.5 overall, though some people seem to think anything below a 5 is a failing grade. This is a 7 out of ten, not quite an 8.
I had wings and pizza, and they were both good and bad:
-The wings were big, covered with a tasty sauce. But the sauce was watery, and the wings appeared to be cooked only on one side and very uncooked looking on the other. The one semi-browned side was wrecked by the rather rubbery other side.
-The pizza was tasty, but a large margarita should have more than one or two shredded basil leaves on it.
I think if the wings were cooked all the way, and the pizza had more basil on it I'd try it again. As it stands, it's tough to return for more.
Above average wood fired pizza with a symbiotic relationship with Queen City Brewing. Fun atmosphere and a good beer selection. Or order a pizza to go and carry back to the brewery to eat.
I'm an out of state reviewer but I've just about all the pizza here in my one month stay and I keep coming back here. Their crust isnt completely black on the bottom. It's just the right amount. They are a little pricey but to me, it's worth it for the quality. I got the margherita pizza and CYO. Both were excellent. Good selection of beverages as well. Garlic knots were SUPER garlicky but also very good.
Absolutely fantastic! We went for beers at Zerp Gravity and Queen City. Then as a bonus ended up with amazing pizza to go along with the great beers! Maple pizza is out of this world..not too sweet, right amount of bacon and the apple slice topped each slice off wonderfully.
Didn't go in here, but got a pizza to go and went next door to the brewery. This is some real bomb pizza and I strongly recommend it. We got the pepperoni and it was socked full of pepperoni's! Crust was good, flavor was on point - overall a really good pizza. One of the best pizzas I've had in a while.
Great pizza joint right next to Queen City Brewery. Parking is challenging, but trick is to park in Burlington Coat Factory parking lot right next door if go after 6pm.
Pizza was great. Tried Margarita, Mickster, Hawaiian and Spicy Broccoli. The crushed tomatoe sauce was very very good, which is a good because the Margarita didn't have much fresh mozzarella and very little fresh basil.... But despite was very great slice.
Really enjoyed this place and will be coming back. Standard pizza was excellent and their gluten free crust was really enjoyable as well. Relaxed vibe which was what we were hoping for and brewery next door was having a private event but looked like a really cool space.
We are here twice in the past two weeks.
My main observation is that the place always seems a bit "rudderless" and lacking in any cohesive shift management.
The college aged employees always seem to be snacking, drinking sodas and chatting with friend while out on the dining floor.
Both of my pizzas recently have been delivered to the table with a servers thumb on the tray touching the crust. The counter person taking our order took off her hat, Fixed her hair, pit the hat neck on and returned to work without washing her hands. The other person taking orders finished with the customer in front of Me, cashed out their order and then proceeded to have a four minute conversation with them while I stood in line waiting.
Finally, as to the food :
As a vegetarian I expect to get treated equally as anyone else and recieve value for my money when I pay for toppings.
We ordered a pizza with red onions, pineapple and olives.
each slice of pizza has exactly TWO slivers of red onion, TWO chunks of pineapple and TWO olives on it. really?
I look to my left and see a table with two pepperoni pizzas covered with little disc's of pepperoni.
Am I purposely being short changed as a vegetarian.
Surely any vegetable pizza topping costs less than half than a meat one,... two slivers of onion per slice is an astronomical amount of food costing markup.
Would your cooks put out a large $30+ dollar pizza that had only two disc's of pepperoni per slice?
Food for thought if you are the owner of this restaurant, I would love to hear your thoughts on this matter, please respond.
Thanks
A rating of 4 stars is based on much better pizza in the past, because 3 is more appropriate now. I hope they improve. Recently I’ve been disappointed with skimpy toppings. Sausage pizza had ridiculously little sausage. Maybe management oversight is needed for quality and quantity control. Or, they will lose customers.
Tried pizza 44 for the first time a couple of days ago and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it is. The pizza was cheesy, the pepperoni was nice and spicy, and the crust was well cooked. I think the crust is the most critical aspect of a good pizza and Pizza 44 had a nice, crisp, wood oven crust which was appreciated. Too often are pizzas loaded with toppings and the crust is a soggy, floppy mess ruining the pizza. That is not the case at Pizza 44.
I tried some of the wings also, but was underwhelmed with the texture. The skin was mushy, but the flavor was good.
Overall I really enjoyed my experience getting a pizza from Pizza 44.
Good food, excellent service. The mixed green salad was good although the description was off a bit on the ingredients. I liked the Caprese cast iron pizza but wouldn't order it again. Too much bread or not enough cheese & sauce compared to others I've had. Good selection of draft and canned beers. My daughter had the brussels & chicken caesar and the bread knots. Both were good.
Overall I would say this was a 3 star experience. We enjoyed our pizza and salad but the meatballs were not great. The space was very clean and the decor was nice and modern. The shared bathrooms with Queen City were clean and we appreciated the general neutral aspect and the baby changing mat. We found it annoying that they did not have a beer list, so we were trying to read the taps while people were waiting impatiently behind us. The worker was a little unsure about which beers were on tap. Even a handwritten list or a quickly typed up paper would have been super helpful. There were tons of employees, maybe as many as customers when we got there, so it seemed like someone could have done that easily. The main thing we found completely obnoxious was the lack of high chairs. We've been all over town all week and this is the first time this has happened to us, even at small breweries that barely had any food we found high chairs, so to walk into a pizza place and be told they don't have high chairs is completely baffling. We only came here because our kids were hungry and other places we wanted to go weren't serving dinner yet. In hindsight we should have just waited. It wasn't terrible, but with so many other wood fired pizza options in the area, we wouldn't bother going back.
Very friendly staff, brick oven pizza. Pizza was cooked quickly. Located in front of the Queen City brewery, they are on tap if you want to sit in the restaurant and try the beers. You can also take a pizza back to the brewery if you want. Ordered the meatball pizza - sauce was flavorful and meatballs were very tasty.
Pros:
- good pizza
- unique enough to separate itself from American Flatbread and Veritas
Cons:
- shares the same parking lot as Queen City. not enough spaces
- this is a place where you order at the counter and then find a seat. which means you have to fight for a seat with those people who claim a table before ordering.
- seating here is not great. lots of large tables. there is also a large table which is communal. if you are out on date night you are basically forced to sit there. no one wants to be that couple that claims a big table.
pictured is the classic margherita (smalll) and the caprese.
Pizza is very good wood oven baked and ct style pizza
Pizza 44 is a fun place to take the family. The pizza is good and the beer in the back is great! The staff are super nice!
The pizza is delicious and the staff are lovely. Chris is wonderful. Thank you for taking care of us!
There is an overall condescending atmosphere. It is on the more expensive side.
I've been a few times and I'm never greeted...
The last time I went in, I had to stand there while the girl working the register and someone on the line finished their conversation. Then she was just standing there...
So I said "Oh, hello, yes fine, thank you for asking" at which point she said sorry, he's having a bad day ...
Anyway besides the lack of customer service and the overall condescending attitude the food is good.
I had ordered the spicy Maple chicken wings and garlic knots, pictured below
The chicken wings were very delicious, the garlic knots were just extra carbs I didn't need, lol. The knots were not that flavorful, not worth the $6+
Delicious pizza and must have spicy maple wings. Counter service, good local beer and wine available.
Best GF pizza I’ve ever had.
Finding a good gluten free pizza is pretty difficult, but Pizza 44 nailed it. The crust is crisped to perfection and the rest is fluffy, light, and easy to chew (anyone who eats GF knows how tough pizza can be on your jaw). Pizza 44 is my favorite pizza spot in the Burlington area.
Very yummy pizza! Loved the cast iron crust.
Loved the "NY style" and the rest of the family loved the thicker crust in a square. First time we tried it (after our former favorite pizzeria shut its South Burlington doors this month)...the garlic bites were DIVINE!
Excellent food, the staff really cares. Hate having to order at a kiosk. Everything else is great
Great place for pizza and right next to Queen brewery. Good flavor and the crust was excellent. I would highly recommend it.
Update: Got takeout from here for the first time in over a year. Remembered the "normal" pizza and went for the Sicilian style this time... So glad I did! Other spots do "traditional" style pizza better, but Pizza 44's Sicilian might be the best in the area - highly recommended. Adding a star to this review for it.
Unfortunately, I also got wings again, as I remember them being some of the best in town. This is no longer the case. Unlike the old wings, which were huge and seemed to be wood-fired or cast iron finished, these tasted like standard wings you could get from anywhere. Not a huge deal, but disappointing as they used to be awesome.
old review
Went the first week of their opening, again two months later, and then one last time a few years later - very expensive for mediocre pizza. Unfortunately, their food reminded my fiancée and I of a nostalgic frozen pizza, like a cross between an inexpensive local by-the-slice shop, Elio's frozen pizza, and a hot pocket (not exactly in line with flavors expected from local, house-made ingredients).
If you're moderately inebriated coming from zero gravity or queen city, I'm sure it'll taste great, but you'll pay a premium for a taste inferior to Piezano's (formerly Junior's) or Veritá. I hope they either improve their size and quality to justify the price, or lower the price significantly to match the taste. I really want to like this spot as it's the closest pizza joint to me, but the amount of oil on the top of these pizzas is enough to make the US army want to invade my apartment, and the char isn't so much 'a nice flavor note and crispy texture', but rather 'oh you left this in the oven 10 mins too long and burned the top and bottom of the pizza to a point where the dough itself just tastes and feels like burnt cardboard'. Hopefully next time I give em a shot I'll have better luck! Maybe I just keep hitting off days...
The wings, by the way, were great! Definitely better than any of the other local pizza spots.
Good wood fired pizza! My only issue might be that the pepperoni pizza I got was a bit too salty. Didn’t stop me from eating the whole thing though!
Went 2pm on a Friday and pizza 44 was empty and the staff was friendly and quick. Pizza was some of the best we've had in Burlington and they have a really nice ambience. There's a brewery across hall that you can get your pizza to go and eat there. Got the Mickster and excited to try their other unique combinations.
Great place! Good pizza and sides, great beer.
This place was very good. The pizza is excellent, thin and crispy, quality pizza with quality ingredients, and I can be picky with my pizza. They're average cost is about 18-20$ for a large pizza, and it is definitely large and worth it. They employees there were very nice. We ordered pizza to go and a lady allowed us to fill up one of their water glasses and take it outside while we waited and then bring it back. The pizza was great and the people were great!
Love the pizza but I was overcharged once and it hasn't set well with me ever since but I do forgive I jist won't forget. Oh well. I know mistakes happen but it was blatantly obvious and the person seemingly ignored it on purpose due to them being extremely busy. 😕 But thier food is really good ! And the people are super kind every time I go in.
Fast friendly service, cool decor and space, great food, great beer, wine, and cider selection.
Pizza was alright. Waited 40 mins for 2 small pizzas at 3pm and there were only 2 people sitting inside
Amazing Quatrro! Pleasant experience. Will visit again. Sitting arrangement is limited so it 1st come 1st serve. Gets busy on weekends.
I’ve been spoiled most of my life with pizza living in Northeastern Pennsylvania then Brooklyn and the NYC metro area. My girlfriend and I recently moved to Burlington and this is the second place we’ve tried. The first, which had incredible reviews, was of the same quality and taste as $1 slices back in Brooklyn which isn’t good. Pizza 44, however, was fantastic. The prices are very much on par, if not cheaper, for the quality. The speciality pizzas are creative because they’re creative and interesting, not simply creative for a hipster “cool” vibe. The customer service was also fantastic.
TL;DR if you want great pizza, this is the place to go!
We got take out, after visiting the brewery across the street. Service was quick and friendly, and the pizza was really great. The sauce is made in-house and is really delicious, the crust had just the right amount of softness and crunch, and the toppings were plentiful. Very happy with our pizza and would not hesitate to visit again.
Been coming here for years, great pizza every time!
I would give this more than 5 stars if I could, the place is very beautiful, modern and open. The seating booths are very spacious and comfortable and have great views. The pizzas are oven baked over smoked apple/maplewood which makes your mouth water as soon as you walk right in. YOU HAVE TO TRY THE MARVELOUS MAPLE PIZZA!!! I’m visiting out of state, only here for a few days and I’ve been there TWICE!! Whoever’s running this place sure knows what they’re doing. My favorite spot in Burlington!
The pizza is good, but lately I have noticed a considerable decrease in the density of the toppings. For example, the other day I picked up a large mushroom and pepperoni and when I got home I noticed less cheese overall and each slice had at most 2 mushrooms and 2 pepperoni cups, which is not satisfactory for an extra $5. Obviously, this significantly decreases the quality and taste. This has happened twice and I have also noticed the same thing at a couple other places. Is this the new post-pandemic normal? I sure hope not.
Best Neapolitan original pizza in Town. The food is amazing and the owner takes good care of the customers! They really value your visit!
Is a must if you want to take out and eat outside in the park areas.
Great pizza, made to order. Service seems a tad slow, but then again the food comes out hot, so it's worth it overall. The seating is not great for just 2 people to sit and chat over a meal. Instead, it's long tables and booths reserved for 6 or more people. Not a show-stopper, but it keeps us from becoming regulars. Prices are reasonable.
Awesome pies and great service. Almost beats Folinos for best pizza in VT imo.
The pizza is good but the customer service does not match the food. Went in to pick up pizza and was told the pizza wasn't ready. After waiting 20 minutes and seeing no pizza in the ovens I asked for my money back. Not sure if it was an owner or manager but he said he was really understaffed even though there seemed to be more employees in the building then costumers and most of the emoyees were to busy having conversations with each other than working. After I asked for my money back he checked the warming rack and my pizza had been ready the whole time and now was luke warm. Overall good food but really needs some better employees.
Best pizza you can get in the area! Their flavor combinations they have created are absolutely amazing. You cannot go wrong here. I have never dined in so cannot speak on the atmosphere and service, but on pizza alone, 5 stars.
I am 3 years now living in Vermont . My daughter and granddaughters were visiting from out of state . We looked up a nice place to eat and found this restaurant. From the moment we walked in we felt very welcomed. I went to order a gluten free pizza and they were out . But they said if I could wait a few minutes they would make up some gluten free crust . It made me feel good . It is not a choice to go gluten free it’s a necessity . My pizza was amazing the best I have had in while . My daughter loved hers . The kids ate some for lunch and the rest for dinner .
I will be bring more of my family as they visit.
Good god, some of these reviews are silly. The pie here is amazing. The deep dish crust isn't overpoweringly dense; it's like buttery fluffy focaccia. Their tomato sauce is extremely tasty and not overly acidic. The house made ricotta is amazing in their salads and on their spicy broccoli pie. Their standard crust is just sweet enough to complement any savory topping.
The place also knows how to cook their pies. No thick underdone squishy pie parts here. It's some of the best pie I've had since leaving NYC. And, it's cheaper than many other gourmet pizza spots nearby. They also have an extensive local beer list and a cheap but tasty selection of red wines (I didn't try the whites).
Ignore the persnickety hipster reviews of this spot and trust a fat pizza loving guy. This spot is great (and the staff is super friendly).
Great spot when with kids for lunch in Burlington. Target trip and then pizza 44. Big booths. Awesome pizza. Enjoyed the bbq one!
Best pizza in burlington hands down.
First of all the actually restaurant it gorgeous inside. Very chill yet sophisticated vibe. Staff is friendly. Pizzas have so much fresh ingredients you can really taste the difference between this and your average pizza place . Also the dough doesnt "sit" In your stomach like some other pizzas do for me. It feels light which is great because you don't get that stuffed , bloated feeling after . And the prices are reasonable. We've gone over from Essex NY the last 2 days in a row just because it was so good the first time.
Last night we went to Queen City Brewery and then had pizza at Pizza44. We had the margarita pizza and pepperoni pizza both thin crust. Pizza was excellent. Sauce was nice and mild and not overpowering. The spicy maple chicken wings were very good but not spicy. Could have more spice.
Deliciously delicious with many selections of pizza and types as well as make your own. Simply fire cooked enjoyment. Good salads and other items as well as wines and beers and all that. Nice setting. Order at counter they bring to your table and clean as well. Refills u go back to order and they offer fountain sodas or free ice water and take out too.
This place is throwing down some exceptional pizzas. Probably one of my favorite places for a quick bite. Offering pan pizzas, hand tossed pizzas and various appetizers. My girlfriends favorite is the Brussels Caesar, which you do not see vary often at any establishment. The tap list is pretty good and they are located in the same building as queen city brewery. So you can always grab a brew somewhere while you wait. Definitely recommend checking it out.
Be ready for a flavor explosion in your mouth Doug's marvelous maple pizza, and barbeque pizza take the cake. The combination of texture, taste, and pizza is perfection. Will not disappoint.
My first impression was that this was a clean, open-kitchen that shares space with the brewery. It's not an original concept but a good one that allows you to order at the counter and go and sit in the brewery to wait and have a drink.the pizza was decent, though I was expecting a blistered crust versus the standard baked crust you get with lower temp ovens. The wing as were very good, considering they were baked and not fried. Overall, pretty good. I would recommend to anyone looking for a bite while on the brew tour circuit.
Best pizza I’ve had in years, I was never a pizza person but after trying this I came back the next day for the same pizza and they did not disappoint.
Pizza 44 is one of, if not my favorite pizza places in town. It's hard to come up with something to say about it because everything is good, really good. My lunch gang and I try to come here once a week for lunch.
This rating is based on an average of two visits. The first time I ate in and it was great. It's very expensive pizza but it was good and we had a great time. The second visit was for a pick up. First I couldn't preorder bc no one answered the phone after ten minutes of trying. I assumed the place was slammed. I arrived too find an empty restaurant minus the one customer in line in front of me. I ordered one large and two medium pizzas, for which I paid nearly 60.00! Not terrible for great pies. Only mine were burnt, the crust on my vegan pizza was literally paper thin. And the toppings were minimal. Since I was picking up and the pies were expensive, I didn't leave a tip. I couldn't help but wonder if that had anything to do with the overall quality of my pies. I'd say visit, but definitely inspect your order before taking it away!
Stopped by today for lunch , we were the first ones in . We were greeted 6a nice "hello",from the pizza maker ( set the experience off to a great start ). We are a family of 4,two kids one of which is 2yrs old and the other is 4,so we asked if they had a highchair and a booster ...only had the highchair no booster seat (but it worked out okay ). Price point was pretty good and the pie great ! We will be back to try some more and Queencity Brewery is in the same building so BONUS for Mom and Dad.
Pizza was delicious, my sons second favorite , and he takes his pizza VERY seriously. Parking was not so fun, small lot , busy, but i managed. Will return !
Iv'e never been but I've ordered remotely for my son and his fellow construction team. The guys loved the pies and the wings! It was a hit, and the service was great in accommodating a remote request! Thanks Pizza44 Team - Great product and service!
I really do enjoy this place, highly recommend if you have never been before. the parking can be a bit difficult but that is normal for Burlington. This place is very busy and does not have the most seating so Friday, Saturday nights be prepared to wait in a good size line. The beer on tap is also of great selection, micro brews to main domestic beers. Big fan of this place!
Good pizza, great atmosphere. But both times in I ended up with white pizza. Bummer, I like tomato sauce but it is not clear on the menu. Guess I can't really blame the restaurant though. Worth s stop in.
You know a business is above average when you have a bad experience and they go out of thier way to make it right. Well, Pizza 44 did just that. We had a bad pizza the other night and I received a call from Kevin with a sincere apology, our money back and a gift card to boot. Thank you and we are looking forward to our next pizza at Pizza 44
Decor is great and the inside is super neat and tidy. The pie itself was soggy in the middle. When I pick up a slice I expect it to be able to moderately hold itself up, this immediately folded down and the toppings fell off. The crust part was really crunchy, so I'm not sure if it's a cooking temperature thing or not but I appreciate a crunch throughout a pizza slice. The garlic knots had a good flavor but half were not cooked all the way. Which was obvious because the other half we're toasty brown. I was disappointed but am looking forward to giving it another shot.
Great ambiance but $23 for a 10-12 inch gluten free pizza? Sheesh. Got a salad and added pork belly for an extra $5 and it came out with 1-2 slices of extra crispy bacon, not exactly what you expect when you hear pork belly. Girlfriend and I walked out $55 lighter (1 beer, a wine, a pizza and a salad) and still hungry.
Giving you a 3 stars because your staff was super friendly and they provided awesome service but you gotta up your game big time.
Excellent pizzas and salad. First time I’ve tried Pizza 44. I have sampled many of Burlington’s pizzerias and this may now be my favorite, especially given relatively reasonable prices. Thumbs up!
Awesome pizza super thin crust great unique flavor combinations. Also the deep dish has toasted parm around the rim of it - to die for lol - definitely try this place out you'll love it and feel sophisticated eating pizza.
The food was good. The atmosphere not so much. My excitement to try this place for the first time was squashed as soon as I walked in and learned you have to order first and then fight to find a seat. When you are standing their with several people it's challenging to have to go stand off on the side somewhere and discuss what everyone is going to get. Then by the time you jump in line there are tons of other people who have come in ahead of you. If you jump in line too soon then you risk getting to the front when you aren't ready yet. Ugh, I just wanted to sit down with my party, order a drink and look over the menu.
When we finally got a table it had not been cleaned off yet. Dishes from the previous customers were still there and It took a long time to get the table cleaned off. There were only two people working the floor and they were busting their butts to serve all the food and bus all the tables. They need more staff for sure. They need people dedicated to cleaning off the tables and separate people serving food. If you are going to have this kind of business model where customers have to find their own tables, the tables need to be cleaned off and ready to go as fast as possible. It seemed hard on the staff tonight trying to do both. They were so busy bringing out food that the tables sat dirty for a long time. One of the plates they gave us had food on it still and the bathrooms were gross. The whole place just felt like it was understaffed and not kept up. The pizza was good, but I'm not sure it was good enough to go back and fight for a table for it.
Food was very good. Atmosphere was great
They have a strange seating arrangement. This is a popular place so you order at the counter when you walk in and then wait for a table to open up but you better be quick because someone that walked in behind you will take the table before you have a chance to sit down. Uncomfortable to be finishing up your dinner and people waiting for your table to open up like vultures. Food was good but I didn't like their sausage, personal choice you may like it.
The pizza here is delicious. This is an order at the counter and grab a booth type restaurant with good beer on draft, artisanal pizzas, and plenty of options for sides. Conveniently located next to Queen City Brewery / across the street from Zero Gravity Brewery.
Pizza 44 is in a great spot cuddled next to Queen City Brewery and across from Zero Gravity. I keep going back, have had most of the menu at this point, and its all good. The Doug's Marvelous is a particularly Vemont style treasure worth pointing out, and for lunch they also have amazing sandwiches.
Fantastic food, friendly staff and fine beverages. Pizza is fantastic, salad is fresh and crisp, beer is cold! The only caveat is that it can be hard to get a place to sit during peak dinner hours (Friday and Saturday nights)
Great pizza! Unless sharing, small is plenty.
Local brewery, with many of the other breweries on tap if you want to experience great beers this is the place to go. And by the way, they have the best salads and pizza. An absolute don't miss when visiting BURLINGTON.
pricey but it’s the only pizza in Vermont that doesn’t make me gag so it’s worth a bit extra. the place has like 6 parking spots and shares them with 2 other businesses.
All the pizzas I've had here are top-notch. Treat yourself to some garlic bites and wings while you wait, both bomb. Great drink selection as well.
Love the pizza, casual atmosphere
Top notch pizza, and two breweries adjacent (yup, they're both awesome too!). MUST TRY the garlic bites, they make you consider ordering another dish, for yourself, immediately.
Pizza was good. Loved the thin crust and the urban decor.
This is our MOST favorite place to eat!! We come here once a week now because we can NOT RESIST their Maple flavored wings🍁 They are soooooo freaking amazing....... followed by their amazing pizza of our choice. The South End's little secret😮😮😮....... Check it out asap! …
Pizza was delicious. Mozzarella balls were hand breaded. Sauce was cold. Still would recommend.
Great place to relax w good people. Excellent 👌 service. Friendly staff. Highly recommend …
They make a good reasonably priced woodfired pizza and a good ceaser salad with Brussels sprouts. Take out took me over an hour from the time I called till the time the food was ready, so plan ahead.
Hard to believe this town has yet another awesome pizza place. Their crust is just the right amount crispy and they have some fun specialty pizzas to try.
Love the semi-burned pepperoni circles on the pizza. Also, great beer accompaniments and love the space. So glad they've survived the pandemic!
Great woodfired pizza. The 12 inch cast iron pizza is unique with its cheese crust edge
Ordered out. Looks good inside. Pizza was to soft but cooked. Didnt have the texture of a woodfire pizza like I'm used to and had small peps, which I'm not a fan of at all.
Great local pizza shop that serves beer and wine as well. They also have paninis, salads, and other options on the menu in line with the theme of the restaurant. Very nice venue and staff; I highly recommend it if you are in the area!
Easy ordering and pickup process, adhering to all safety guidelines. And the Cubano is fantastic. Nice work Pizza 44!
Amazing pizza. Best in the area. Definitely better than that over priced, burnt pizza on the ave
One of the best pizzas around.
I have had a late lunch here a couple times. The pizza is delicious, nice drink selection, great ambiance, spacious, order at the counter, fast service.
Great unique pizza. I don't suggest this place if you go in expecting a Domino's type menu. Check their specialities and see if that's what you are into.
Great even space owned by Queen City Brewery and party catered with delicious Pizza 44 pies. Had to order a pie to take home! Pizza and beer. Who knew?
Pizza was good but it's very flat and skinny with thick crust witch I do not like.

Cool vibe, good pizza. Careful when going to a night with a live performance or band next door, it turns into an echo chamber.
