Reviews of Pho Son
Philip Yazbak
Fantastic Pho with tasty and hearty vegetables that were soaked in great broth. We also got the fried vege roll and the spring roll which were excellent as well. The prices were fair and about the middle of the road when compared to other restaurants in the area. The food was ready in 15 minutes and the store was a nice spot with great seating. Will have to try dining in next time.

We love this place! Delicious food, everything very fresh and tasty. The staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommend.

Great service, thanks Matt! Delicious food and big portions, everything was so fresh and served with a smile. The boba tea was awesome! My son had the passion fruit and I had the carmel coffee w/ added original boba 👍🏻 We had questions about the menu, and they were all kindly answered, or server Matt made some great recommendations too. The atmosphere is so open and airy, great vibe. I’d love to go back on our next visit to Burlington. Thanks Pho Son!

One of the most incredibly meals I have had in Burlington. My nine year old - who is a picky eater - commented that it was the best chicken bowl she ever had. The bubble tea was also 5 stars. Overall, I highly recommend. Outstanding food, served fast and friendly.

I love Vietnamese food but for me it was not the best one. The meat texture of the pho I ordered was weird and I couldn’t finish my food. But my friend was satisfied from her food and they were big portions!

Great experience with the staff here. We ordered two bobas and one of them was lacking some flavor, so we asked that they add a bit more if possible. Not only did they make a new one, but they gave us an additional drink in another flavor in case the issue was caused by a new ingredient they were using. We were very impressed by the service, and everything tasted great!

Went here for the first time with my roommate and we ate everything on our table, ALL of our broth, all of our noodles, all of our bean sprouts and all of our delicious slices of meat. Zero regrets, fairly priced, and great service!!
Highly recommend to other students nearby!

Got a beef pho, and was impressed. Broth was 9/10, meat was 10/10. The meat was, well, meaty, and the tendon (the real quality gauge) was super soft and tender.
Fruit tea is a little pricy, but the serving size is large. Service was good.
Gotta say, I wasn’t expecting amazing Vietnamese food to come out of Vermont, but I was pleasantly surprised.

There is a lot of great places to get pho in and around burlington, but pho son really isnt one of the standouts. The broth is too murky and salty. I got the standard beef pho, and got very little beef, almost all broth. The flavor isnt the worst but the value is lacking and you can expect to wait given the touristy location

Overall my visit was great. The decor and vibe is comfortable and charming and the staff seemed eager to welcome and assist with any questions. The sausage banh mi was excellent, the bread just the right texture. My pho was a satisfying portion of broth and noodles and generous with the meat additions. Noodles were a little sticky but didn't distract much from the overall enjoyment of the dish.
There seemed to be a bit of confusion in the kitchen as dishes came out very sporadically and I waited considerably longer than my table mates and even guests who arrived after me for my pho. Great addition to downtown, all in all.

Ordered for the first time. Had the Mi Wonton soup and it was delicious! Very flavorful and good quantity! I’ll definitely return thank you!

The restaurant was clean and the waitress was friendly and helpful. The food was good. We came in because it was advertised as 'Vietnamese street food'. The food did not have the street food vibe. I got the steak Banh Mi and was a little disappointed with the bread. It was not the authentic french roll I'm used to and it wasnt fully toasted. The pork chop was covered in sesame seeds (which is not authentic) and in our opinion ruined the flavor of the dish-very over powering. The fried egg was perfect.

The food here was very good. Not the best pho we've ever had, but very good. The salad, vegetables, were all obviously fresh. We sat outside with our dog, good drink selection, well worth a visit back

This is really solid Vietnamese food, esp for being up here in VT. Bun bowl was really good, although I was bummed at the lack of bean sprouts and inclusion of tomatoes. However, the chicken was super tender and flavorful. The summer rolls were good but not great—wrapper was a bit on the chewy side.
Service was okay: friendly enough, but not very attentive. I would’ve wanted my water refilled at least once, and I had to take the bill up, as I needed to get going and the server didn’t notice we were ready to settle up.
Overall, highly recommend if you’re looking for a break from pub fare and pizza!

Went here with my friend, we ordered two PHO TAI but only got one. They said they run out of pho so I changed to steak&shrimp with rice. The steak was overcooked and tasted bitter. Shrimps were cold. Milk tea was good though.
Staffs were very nice!

I had just gotten my wisdom teeth out two days prior and was struggling to find something to eat that was actually filling and I could swallow with minimal chewing. I told the staff what was going on and they suggested something for my to eat and to be honest not sure exactly what the dish was called but damn it was good! Staff was exceptional and the food was just as good !

The service was fast and the food was really delicious! I'd definitely visit again👌🏾

Food was really good... tourists from NYC. We loved the pho and summer rolls.

The pho base isn't as great/strong flavor compare to the normal authentic Vietnamese place
The good was ok. The people was very nice

My husband and I discovered this place through Doordash and CANNOT stop ordering the FABULOUS bahn mi (have gotten steak and chicken, with the hot peppers for a serious extra kick). We keep ordering with something new to try on the side each time. Love the pho soup and the veggie pad Thai and the boba milk tea.
As the weather warms up and we start visiting Burlington more we will definitely come to eat in!
I love the proportions, and packaging is good (the bag keeps the delicious crusty bread from getting soggy) and the fresh tasting ingredients are wonderful. This place is keeping Burlington eats up to date with variety and well prepared food. Thank you!!!!

Hands-down the best Vietnamese food in all of Burlington great atmosphere friendly service amazing food

My boyfriend and I were excited to hear a new Vietnamese restaurant would be coming to Burlington. Being so close to downtown we were worried that Pho Son might rely on location more than reputation to bring in new customers. We were very pleasantly surprised! As soon as we arrived we were sat at a clean table by a very friendly host. Victor and Visa waited on us and they were very knowledgeable, attentive and friendly! The menu was easy to understand, prices were affordable and the food was delicious. Having actually visited Vietnam I can confidently say the food at Pho Son is very authentic much like the staff. Definitely recommend.

Fresh, fast, friendly, fair-priced: the only “F’s” this restaurant deserves. The food was great, the service was very attentive and the set up inside is super cute.
If you like phô or bahn mi, and are visiting Burlington: this is the spot!
Highly recommend!

Pho Són Vietnamese Restaurant !!!
If you are a fan and a knowledgeable about Asian food this restaurant its family-owned. The care for every dish its like they are cooking for thier own family. The ingridients are fresh as if the cut them right in the moment. Their spices are fragrant and delicious to the taste. I am Argentinian and lieved in Japan for 4 years I cook Japanese food and Argentinian. I love this place!! Thank you Pho Son!❤
Alexandra
Such a cute place with super delicious food!!!! I'm definitely going back!
Chris
Sooooo in love with this place, the wonderful crew who work here, and of course the food! We lived in New Orleans where there’s an abundance of amazing Vietnamese cuisine and Pho Son is right up there with the best we’ve had! Thank you!!
Visa
I eat here every week and am never disappointed. The bubble teas come in so many different flavors and are 22 oz! The Vietnamese bahn mi sandwiches are incredible and is served on a big baguette roll that is super satisfying. If you’re looking for a quick bite or a special sit down for lunch or dinner, this is the place to be in Burlington
Chris
Been here about 10 times now, twice dined in the rest to go. The quality is top notch and at their prices the value is outstanding. Addicted to the pho on cold nights and #18 (literally you cannot find better grilled chicken around here) with rice. Keep up the great work! Love you guys!
Katie Crowley
We came here to eat twice already since they opened. Our server who was an older man with a beard was awesome! I think his name was Sean? It was the best service we have ever had in Burlington and he was prompt, courteous, and we never had to ask for anything because he already knew what we needed. Some of the younger servers (2 girls) were struggling, but they were trying the best they can with a new restaurant. The food was great and very flavorful. We loved the aroma of lemongrass and everything tasted fresh! We hope to be back again soon and we hope to have the same server again who made our experience top notch!

Very nice restaurant, good location, easy to find. The decoration is tasteful, cozy, the seating is comfortable, and the bathroom is clean.Came with my wife for lunch today and found the service is friendly and fast. We ordered grill pork vermicelli, banh mi with grill steak, and pho special. The meat is very tasty and generous amount. The broth is very tasty and clear. The meat ball in the pho is very tender.
We definitely will come again.

Been there many times now, every dish has been top notch. Absolutely authentic with some amazing flavors. Prices are on the low side for the quality. Just a really really good spot! A must go anytime you happen to find yourself downtown

Fantastic Bahn Mi. I have been patiently waiting for one of the Burlington area Pho spots to have them. And my patience has been rewarded. Excited to come back and try the Pho!
Mark Binkhorst
Pho Son is the best Vietnamese restaurant in downtown Burlington. The steak bahn mi with fried egg on top is a perennial favorite. High quality and fresh ingredients make for delicious meals time and again. Local restaurants need your support in this time of COVID. Check them out.

Great place to eat in downtown Burlington if you're craving hard to find Vietnamese dishes. They sell Chicken/Steak/Pork sausage banh mi along with a tofu banh mi that is not on the menu! Their staff was super friendly and attentive while assisting me! Their banh mi is comparable to those you can buy in big cities like NYC.
Also, they have sizable portions that will 100% fill you up!
I look forward to coming back and trying more food!
Patricia P
Great food. Won ton soup was yum.
E Claire Goodwin
Delicious, flavorful food, large portions. The staff are doing a great job for just recently opening on an extremely busy weekend in Burlington. Looking forward to more meals there!
Matt Lorence
Nice little shop in Burlington, not a huge menu but still has plenty of options. A bowl of pho on a cold winter night was exactly what I needed.
Linda Deliduka
Delicious dinner last night. I had a seafood pho and it was the best I’ve ever had. Great service. Pleasant atmosphere . They will be seeing me more often.

If you're looking for the best wonton soup in Burlington than look no further. I'm always searching for the best wonton soups with the most dumplings at a great price point and this place hit all those requirements spot on. What's even better is that you can customize your soup if you want too. talk about options! I will be coming back again for sure.

Our third time coming in! The food is fantastic, service is always friendly, and it’s super clean. Highly recommend :)
Diane Piazza
Amazing variety of the tastiest Vietnamese food in Burlington. Upbeat and friendly staff and reasonable pricing. The Banh Mi is a must try.
Alex
I've visited twice and really enjoyed the food. The service however could use some improvement. Might just need to warm up a bit since they just opened so maybe I'll try again in a couple weeks
Raine Reid
Tasty enough, but I've have better, more nicely prepared Vietnamese food. Pho Son is fine, but not really worth the menu price.
Sarah B
Delicious everything. The sprouts could be a little fresher and the drinking water needs to be filtered. But overall, the flavors were fantastic.
Gabriella Lamothe
It was kind of dirty and smelled weird but the food was really good
Lee Irish
Very fresh food. And service is amazing. Authentic Vietnamese cuisine at a very affordable price. Highly recommend.

Excellent. Very Authentic. Wide variety of Vietnamese styles. Items on the menu that you rarely see outside of NYC — or even Vietnam itself. Prime location as well.

some of the items are a little pricey but most of their options are reasonably priced and very good! bubble tea didn't really seem worth it for the money, bubbles barely visible
John Coker
A good approximation of vietnamese food.

Ambiance was great, nice look and feel. Not crowded and good noise levels- Service was very slow for this type of restaurant.
Food was decent for the price point. The quality of the beef left something to be desired, and the price point for dishes with beef did not match the quality of the ingredients (any pho with beef).
Crispy veggie spring rolls were very good- The Pho meatballs tasted like a sponge, and were not very good.
Overall not a bad restaurant, with good broth for the Pho, but the prices do not match the quality of ingredients.
Underwhelming at best.
Kate Lopez
Delicious meals. Everything I have ordered here so far has been awesome! Staff are super nice, too.
