Reviews of Pho Hong
Cajetan Barretto
I haven't had authentic Vietnamese food before so I went with an open mind to try something new.
The place has a very homely feel. It is a small family owned restaurant and everyone seemed super busy, mostly with take out orders.
I ordered a Tom Yum chicken soup and stir fried vegetables with pork. Both items were super delicious.
We were served chilled water and a complimentary tea, which is a nice touch.
Prices are pretty reasonable considering the quality of food served. I will definitely visit the place again to try some of their other dishes, especially the noodle bowls.
Noah Gootkind
Finally got here after hearing nothing but good things, was not disappointed. The Pho was fresh, light and delicious, not overly salty as is sometimes the case. The sauce for the spring rolls was addictive, and the service was good. Only downside is the limited seating relative to the popularity. If you are going here with a group expect to wait a little. All in all, great spot!

Best Vietnamese food ever!! I have to visit this place anytime I’m in Burlington. They just renovated and now they have so much space to dine in!! Friendliest service ever!! Never a bad experience. The pho is authentic and delicious and so are the vermicelli noodles bowls. I also live for the mango salad.

We were passing through Burlington on a road trip and decided to get a late lunch here. The food was amazing! Everything tasted like it had been designed with careful thought, and made with much love. We also loved the casual, unfussy and homey vibe of the place. We got spring rolls, the mango salad, spicy lemongrass shrimp in claypot, and beef stir fry over noodle salad. Everything was loaded with delicious, fresh produce, and super flavorful. Prices very reasonable.

Best bun bo hue! Out of this world taste. Not many Pho noodle place have this noodle. I was so happy to find this place and ran into restaurant right away.
I switched with Pho Noodle which I always does.
Soup is really great…it is good spicy. Meat was perfect especially beef muscles was fantastic.
I am sure pho noodles are also great.
Only thing I regret that I ordered regular size. Please please order Large. It worth it.
Robert “Bud” Booth
Food was freshly prepared, flavorful and vibrant. Service was very friendly and courteous. Took a little while to get as the kitchen is smaller and the volume including takeout was substantial even at 2:00 on a Saturday. Definitely a must visit if you have a little time. Worth the wait!

I am so pleased with Pho Hong! I grew up Thai and Cambodian so fully bold flavors in pho broth is a huge must for me. This place truly delivers and the kindness that’s emitted from the servers and owners here is palpable. I visit Burlington often and this is my favorite restaurant so far. SO GOOD and filling and a great price. Love you Pho Hong thanks for making pho the way it should be made.
Paul Vanasse
Awesome, loved the Spring rolls, simple and delicious. The Bun Bo Hue was a little disappointing as it was advertised as spicy but wasn't even mild. I used the table Sriracha to bring it up to my heat level, then it was great. The shrimp fried rice was marvelous. Next time I come back I will ask them to pump up the heat on the Pho.

Great food for a great price! Love the new opening, it’s beautiful. Definitely favorite spot!

Didn’t expect to find high quality authentic Vietnamese food in Burlington coming from San Francisco. I was delightfully surprised and would come back again for sure. Two young gentlemen serving nonstop influx of customers with kindness, a smile and efficient service was super impressive. The bathroom was the cleanest I have ever witnessed. Food was so good we ordered takeout for our next meal.
Cynthia Vondenhuevel
Soo delish! Mango salad, spring rolls, Penang Curry and #33 which I cannot spell or say lol. Great service with lots of smiles, clean, healthy and low $. Brought our own wine and they brought us wine glasses and a bottle opener!!
Abe H
Awesome Vietnamese restaurant in Burlington. A true local gem. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Pho is very flavorful! Spicy dishes are made perfectly! Love the side dishes.
Got take out for snacking by the lake.
This place can be crowded. So plan accordingly. Get there early! Worth the wait if there are a lot of people.

We have been to Burlington many times, from 2,000 miles away, for the fall foliage. And each time we never failed to visit Pho Hong, and each time I felt like crying happily inside savoring their Vietnamese sour soup (that’s Canh Chua in Vietnamese). All Pho Hong’s dishes are excellent, but their Canh Chua is what elevates this restaurant above all the Vietnamese restaurants in the whole US of A. And that is not a hyperbole. It’s all the more amazing that this restaurant is located in a cold corner of the country, thousands of miles from southern California, or Houston (TX) where the very best Vietnamese restaurants can be found.
How does Pho Hong get all the fresh ingredients for their Canh Chua in Vermont in October every year when we visit? I have no idea but the ingredients are there: fresh elephant ear stalks, uniquely aromatic rice paddy herb (limnophila aromatica), crunchy bean sprouts, and okra (among other fresh vegetables).
But the full list of fresh, hard to find vegetables is only the important half of the story. It is a culinary art of how Pho Hong blends these ingredients together in a clear yet savory and tangy broth that it never failed to knock my socks off in enjoyment and appreciation. It’s aromatically and sweetly tangy. The fresh vegetables and herbs are superbly timed to be added during cooking to retain their freshness and flavors. No doubt this dish reflects the owner/cook’s pride, and skills.
It’s magical. And don’t get Canh Chua for to-go if you want to try it at its best by dining in.

We had lunch here Tuesday. What a great experience! Food was terrific and beautifully presented) as good or better than we can get in Washington DC where we live and NYC where we visit often.) In addition, the host was great with a great sense of humor. Service was great. Highly recommended!

OMG I wish I didn’t live 4 hours away, I would be here every week. The service is stellar… super polite and fast. The food is the shining star. We got the mango salad and chicken vermicelli bowls. WOW! So much flavor and so fresh. Clearly this is a local gem as tons of people were constantly in and out for takeout, not to mention how busy it was inside
Harrison McClarren
So good, we went here twice. I really liked 12 and 13. Meat portions are somewhat small so consider getting extra if thats your thing. Prices are very fair, most dishes ranging 12-15 bucks. Gets very packed so you may want to opt for takeout.
Jonathan Belle
My favorite place for pho in Burlington! First time I went was The first week of March 2020. I ate in the dinning area and was hooked. Shortly after the pandemic started. They closed down for a bit and then started takeout only. I was so thankful they did. Their Pho was one of the things I ate the most in 2020/2021.
If you folks ever read this, thanks for opening up for take out during that time
Elizabeth Rowley
Super delicious. Fresh, flavorful, exciting array of dishes that makes me want to come back again and again. Staff is kind and efficient. Despite being busy food was relatively quick. Very clean, dining room and kitchen.
Pete Sullivan
Immediate service when we go (early) and always rapid preparation of our dishes. Every server we've ever had has been thoroughly outstanding and exceptionally kind. I like that we can pay at the desk to easily settle up and freep our table for those beginning to arrive in throngs.
Anita H
5 stars! I love places like this that have fresh, exceptional food in a casual atmosphere. We had the #7 Pho, the fried Rice, and the BBQ pork vermicelli bowl and all were excellent! Wish we could bring you back to our city.
Lauren Block
Perfect… the food was simple and full of flavor. I felt perfect after the mango salad and bowl of pho. Old school resto where the staff is hustling. Come with 25 min to wait, have a bit of patience, and you’ll be enjoying the meal in no time.
Ariana Andrewes
Incredible Vietnamese food and insanely efficient service for an extremely busy restaurant. Amazing servers!! You will almost always wait for a table if you want to eat here, so make sure you have some time to spare. It's well worth the wait!
The #33 (crispy bbq pork with apples, spring rolls and noodles) is the perfect choice if it's your first time eating here. The Panang curry (with beef), spicy duck (#35) are some of my go-to's. If you're feeling adventurous the pan seared calamari (#27) is also a winner.
Nathan Murray
Our favorite place to eat when we visit Burlington. Amazing authentic fresh food, great flavor. Super friendly service. The host/waiter (forgot his name but served us today around 2pm) is just the best, wonderful customer service and always smiling. We love Pho Hong. Thank you for being here
Laura Chambers
Pho Hong has an impressive menu. Sometimes you can’t decide on just one dish and even though dining alone, you might just have to have both dishes that’ve peaked your attention 👍🏼. Do it! Order it all 😂. It’s always busy, so be prepared for a little (but worthwhile) wait. BYOB. A must-go for incredibly great food (huge portions), friendly service and fun, bustling atmosphere, no matter the season.
Joyce Huang
I don’t know how anyone could possibly rate pho hong lower than five. The chicken pho, panang curry, and spicy eggplant are amazing. They are insanely busy every night but the staff do an AMAZING job.

This place is busy, but so good!!!
I came to town for a work thing and was craving pho and this place hit the spot. I missed the parking spot the first time I drove past and had to swing around the block. I'm from Texas, so driving on small new England roads during snow tripped me up. If you're a local (or local-ish), you'll probably not miss it. The lot was mostly full and street parking was slim, but definitely possible.
I tried calling in a couple of times and the line was busy. I normally quit when this happens, but the craving was strong.
I pulled up, and every table was full. There were even folks standing waiting for a table.
You know the food's gonna be good when this happens. So I didn't even mind waiting for them to take my order.
The waitstaff is hella busy. The phone never stops ringing, and the food doesn't stop flowing.
I ordered the pho tai and mango salad. I paid about 22 bucks with the tip. I didn't know about the cash discount, it would've been like 20 with cash. I got my food within 20minutes, but I think larger orders were taking about 40 for pick up.
Even with the 15 minutes driving in snow back to the hotel, the pho was delicious. The broth was super flavorful. The veg was super fresh. I was sad I didn't get jalapeños bc I like the broth to be spicy, but the dollop of sriracha did it for me.
Mango salad is on the smaller side, but hella good too.
I took a star off bc it seemed the employees were stressed and understaffed, not because of poor service.
Everything folks were eating inside looked amazing. I wish I had ordered more than one dish, but there's no way I could eat it all and not die from deliciousness.
Walter van Dusen
My daughter highly recommended Pho Hong to us yesterday and without delay we are having lunch here. We were greeted with a huge smile from server Con as we walked in. From there, we knew our experience would be amazing. Con made sure we were happy with everything. He was able to make us vegetarian spring rolls with tofu that were perfect. I had the pho number 11 with two types of noodles (rice and egg), beef balls and beef that was perfectly prepared. My wife had the vegetarian pho number 9 with tofu, with a variety fresh vegetables with a light and clean taste broth. The water also tasted great. We highly recommend Pho Hong if you are in the area.
E. ARTI Wulandari
I ordered Pho (the complete version with meatballs, tendon, stripes in beef broth), oh so good & refreshing, with sprouts, basil, and lime. I also ordered fried tofu, eggrolls with pork & vegetables, and of course the dessert: sticky rice & mango. Everything is mouth-watering & more importantly, not expensive.
Tim
40 minute wait on a Friday night. Some of the best Pho we've ever had. Mango salad was insane good. The staff was great and food amazing.
Ryan McGavran
I’ve been to Pho Hong a number of times now and I’m just now getting to a review... Pho Hong doesn’t disappoint. From the fried pork spring rolls to the pho the food is superb. The pho is delicious and the broth is true to craft; not the watered down nonsense you get from those “other” pho places. Rich in flavor and crafted with care - delicious. Don’t forget to ask for the secret homemade chili-sauce, it’s spicy, so be careful, but the flavor is delicious. Run down to Pho Hong and go get some soup!
Tyler Coleman
Burlingtons not so hidden Pho spot. By far popular among locals and visitors alike. Be prepared to wait but it is worth every second. You can’t go wrong here!
Ivan Drago Krizanac
good portion sizes and high quality food. there is usually a line when you arrive and around dinner time it's usually packed, but you cant ask them to have more seats as they already have quite a few! people just love this place so much! an excellent People's restaurant. the model restaurant IMO
Sean Li
Amazing food and very friendly environment!
Really authentic broth with a bunch of noodles and meat. For the traditional pho, go with the #8, which includes rare meat and tripe.
We got the vietnamese crepes which were great as well, a delicious combination of crispy and light.
Service was great as well. This is a family owned restaurant.
Highly recommended Asian food for the Burlington area!
nick lopez
We waited 30 minutes and it was very worth it. The pho, Vietnamese pancake, and stir fry was delicious
Becca
This place is fantastic. Great authentic and delicious food. We went once pre-covid and the location was charming and packed- BYOB. We have since done takeout and it's been just as good. Can't recommend enough!
Thomas Moon Kang
They're pho is definitely up there. If you come here for the pho you will not be dissapointed, flavor of the broth is deep and rich and they give you decent portions for the price. Their food is not too oily either.
S W
Pho Hong is the best. Although it was busy, it was well worth the wait. Their food is top notch, they always maintain a calm friendly demeanor. Awesome customer service. They also have the best panang curry I’ve ever had.
Carmen George Weddings
Great food at this family run restaurant. They are incredibly nice. They doubled the size of their seating area inside and hired more staff. All around good experience.
Christopher Dieni
I had a very delicious pho tai (rare beef) for lunch, and it was fantastic! This restaurant has a food quality that is comparable to Vietnamese restaurants that you'd find in larger cities. Also, kudos to the young guys at the front of house who have a fantastic work ethic serving tables and distributing takeout orders -- very positive and welcoming energy. Will definitely be back!
Gregory
One of the best bowls of Pho I've ever had. Great atmosphere, busy with customers, staff were hard working and accommodating. I plan on coming back here many more times. Thank you Pho Hong.
Joe Wehry
The sweet and savory veg stir fry with 🍍 was very good. Also the stir fry with mushrooms and squash. Friendly service and freshly prepared food. …
Hoan Trần
Very crowded place but the Pho is good. Thank Cuong for his serving. He’s the one that all restaurants need to have.
The Bike Karma Podcast “Bike Karma Guy” by Thomas Brown
I am not a big Pho fan but the rest of my family is. So a place that has broader offering is great! I got the #29 vegetables with shrimp over crispy noodle. The Pho was really good too. It was really tasty. The apps were great too. and if you go during the day, you're in the same complex as the Old Spokes Home. ☮🚲😺 …

Multiple visits. Delicious Pékin duck, tasty bo buns and appetizers. The only disappointment is the Shanghai aubergines dish. Eggplant must be the star of that dish, not meat or tofu.
TheLeakingGenius
Got the chicken curry. Pretty good.. Nothing amazing but I'd had a long day of driving and getting into Burlington late finding this place I definitely wasn't mad at it.
Lyndsey Campbell
Great place for pho! It is popular, so likely a wait, but definitely worth it. It is also BYOB! Workers are nice!
Deanna Donnelly
This is the best pho, best service and my favorite place to stop alone or with friends for an amazing meal. I cannot say good enough things about this restaurant.
Megan S
Came around 8:45pm on Saturday night. Restaurant was still busy...we had to wait ~20 minutes to get seated. Their pho was flavorful and light, just the perfect food to end a day of skiing. Bonus: the place is BYOB. Will come back again when I'm craving Vietnamese food in VT!
Dylan
It was pretty decent. Good enough that it's still worth 4 stars with the hair I found in my rice if that says anything. Best in the area for sure, but not mind-blowing. Had Chicken fried rice and grilled chicken over vermicelli noodles.
Probably worth a visit if you're in the area. Dude running the front has crazy impressive organizational skills to handle all the outgoing takeout orders and the incoming guests at the same time.. The wait may be long, but if you're craving decent Vietnamese food, this is the spot for you.
Kenneth M Martin Jr
I ordered a number 12 with extra meat. It came out in a very large bowl and I thought to myself I would never be able to eat all that and to my surprise I did. It was amazing. I also ordered a number 16 as a side which was a fried rice dish. I had a few bites out from that because my other meal was so big and I ended up taking the rest of the home but that was also just as good as my main course. I highly recommend anyone and everyone to try the amazing dishes here
Jonathan Hallisey
My favorite restaurant in burlington. By far. Everyone that works here is super inviting and friendly, prices are very reasonable, and the food is excellent!
Sabrina Holly
This is by far the best Vietnamese food in town! Everything you order is incredibly tasteful and service is fast and great. I always come here and can’t imagine going anywhere else. The best Vietnamese food I’ve ever had! And very vegetarian friendly! And dogs are allowed to sit outside. Overall a great experience!
James Larrow
Unbelievable service. Some of the very best food I’ve ever had. Go get some!
Kathy Huang
Good workers. Busy carry out. We order classical #7 and Tamarin flavored soup/salmon soup.
Nicholas Bucci
This place is so great you almost wish you didn't find it. The price, service, freshness and flavor of food is unbeatable. I've been searching long and hard for equivalent eateries outside of Burlington all over the North East and haven't found a better spot yet. My recommendation would be Panang Curry and tofu spring rolls. Oh and it's BYOB. 🍻
Renata Cupertino
Good food, good price! The problem is most of the times you have a long wait to seat.
Attila Gulyas
Kind and courteous staff, the food is excellent, wait times unnoticeable, restroom super clean, guests quiet - I'm going to make a couple extra google accounts so that I can give more stars!
Sabrina Cunningham
The best place to get Vietnamese food. You can't beat it. Everything on the menu is incredible.
Geoffrey DeSena
Most of all, I love the space. It’s simple, but it’s perfect. No TVs, no radio, just a place for people to gather and enjoy good food. The food is good, but not fancy. Some items are clearly just reheated frozen packaged foods. One might say it’s Southeast Asian comfort food. To an ignorant Westerner, it sure seems authentic!
Sunsik Chang
Really good food with decent price :)
I enjoyed this place and willing to recommend to my friends:D
Nhut Nguyen
This is definitely one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in America. I have lived in the US for 6 years and this was the first time I could taste the most authentic Vietnamese food. This place makes me miss my home so much. Staff were very nice and friendly. They were so busy but still remained friendly and respectful attitude to customers.
I can’t wait to come back! Next time I will have Vietnamese curry!!
Wil Repka
Dining in at Pho Hong is an opportunity one should never pass on. It is hands down the best Vietnamese food in Vermont. The menu has just enough options to please everyone without being overwhelming. The service is great and the BYOB is great. Definitely give it a try if you haven’t done so yet. The food is incredible.
Tara Pang
Small but cozy place with the best vietnamese food i have ever had in burlington! Highly recommended!
Paul Cho
They are open today(New Year’s Eve)!!
*Update 1/24/19
They charge for extra cilantro and onions $1 each. I do not see any other pho place does that. I was surprised I was not informed when I ordered.
Cheryl Ferguson
Friendly service, delicious food, tea, with great vegan options. Mango salad is also a must!
Matt
Have always gotten friendly, fast service with fresh tasty food. Love trying the different options. Affordable. This place is always busy for good reason.
Hannah Conner
We absolutely love this restaurant and try to go any time we are in town. Tonight, the customer service was absolutely amazing. So nice, polite, friendly, efficient and all while being super busy. In this day and age customer service is a thankless job, but I hope that they know how great they are! Thank you!
Emily J.
The broth was delectable, and the service was timely. They were pretty busy but the crew was doing a fabulous job staying on top of everything! Great place for comfort food
Asa Row
This restaurant is perfect for a chill summer night with friends/family. The decor and nice outdoor seating adds to the relaxed and friendly vibe of the place. The service is fast and the food is great. Considering the obvious lack of diverse cultural foods in Vermont, this place is perfect for people who have medium to high bars for East Asian cuisine.
Minh Nguyen
The service was A+, food was authentic and amazing, and the people are the best.
A must have stop if you're looking for Vietnamese food.
Coming from California and having lived in the two biggest Vietnamese populations in the US (San Jose and Garden Grove) I've eaten a lot of good Vietnamese food. Pho Hong ranks in the top Vietnamese restaurants I've been to and I would be a regular if it was close by.
I ate here 4 times with my family during my visit to Burlington and unfortunately only ate the Bun Bo Hue. I should've tried other items but the Bun Bo Hue was delicious and we had eaten enough Pho on the trip. The Bun Bo Hue had the perfect amount of spicy and you could still taste everything else. It had a large variety of meat and the braised meat was extremely tender.
The service was quick and they were extremely friendly. They can get very packed and they're constantly getting phone orders but they work extremely fast and are very accommodating.
We ended up chatting to the waitress and talked about how the restaurant is a family business. The mother is the cook and she takes extreme pride in her cooking and has high quality control standards which really showed through in the authenticity and deliciousness of the food.
We greatly appreciated our time here and will definitely be back if we're ever in the area!
Matthew Wholley
Great, hard working staff and unbelievable food. They're the best.
Joy Lee
Busy restaurant...Long wait time. But delicious.
Oliver Scanlon
I love Pho Hong, it's a lovely family run business and the food is fantastic! The only down side is the wait for a table can be very long, and even the wait to pickup your takeout on a busy night can be quite long. Comes with the territory of having such great food that everyone wants it!
Kelli Catana
Probably my favorite spot in Burlington. The service is on point and the food is perfect every time.
Sean O'Connor
The food is always delicious and you can't miss with anything on the menu. Even better, the customer service is genuine. They are never in a bad mood or rush you along even on their busiest nights.
Mariz Mangundayao
Always great food and super friendly customer service. They seem to always be busy (especially Friday nights) so expect longer wait times for take out/phone orders. But I promise the wait is worth it!
Tevan Goldberg
Pho Hong is in my view a perfect restaurant. Despite being always slammed with customers the service is fast and courteous; food is fairly priced, generously portioned, and DELICIOUS; and it's BYOB. The pho is great but don't sleep on the rest of the menu, they've got a nice mix of other southeast Asian dishes and chef specials. The owners clearly work super hard to make this place what it is and I feel very lucky to have it in my neighborhood.
Tessa Phillips
I got a bowl of their regular pho. The broth was incredible. I think it is the best pho I’ve ever had. The meat was high quality and so tender. And the servers were very kind and attentive people. Even though they were clearly slammed.
Julie Rashkin
What an excellent restaurant!! The food is so authentic, fresh, and tasty!!! Very fair prices too! Don't miss this place! We are definitely going back!
Laurie Marcoux
First time eating at a Vietnamese Restaurant and it was the freshest, tastiest and healthiest food I've ever had!!! So glad we decided to give it a try! Everything way surpassed our expectations! We went for it and got a stir fry, a Pho and both of their rolls oh ya had to throw in the mango salad too!!! Can't wait to drive the hour to get back there for some more of their over the moon delicious food! Plenty for lunch and dinner too! Topped off by a customer service experience that can't be beat! Thank you to the very friendly and kind young gentleman that assisted us in ordering and brought it out to our car! Making myself hungry! May have to make the drive today! Don't hesitate! You will not be disappointed!
David Gwynn
Delicious. Authentic. Very nice staff.
Darryl Lawler
Phenomenal food. A must visit restaurant in Burlington. Impressive!
Joseph NewYork
Darn good food, be prepared to wait for a table. It's worth the wait.
Dominic Petrarca
I am a google local guide and a local lover of all things Burlington. And I don't take food lightly as its one of the best parts of this amazing little city.
Pho Hong (pronounced Faa Hong), is a local BYOB Pho restaurant perfect for a fall or winter day when your stomach cant wait for some warm, real food. Pho Hong has extremely friendly and helpful staff, and more than amazing food, I most frequently order the #7 (flanked steak in beef broth), but they have lots more too! Chicken pho, veggie, you name it, they put it in yummy-warm broth and perfectly garnish it! Not a pho person? Thats all good! Pho Hong has you covered, they incorporate other regionally related entrees into the menu for a truly enjoyable culinary experience! If your stomach is not feeling up for their delicious entrees, I cant recommend their pre-entree apitizer menu enough, the crab claw with cream cheese rolls are fresh, compared to the musky taste of the tiger rolls at other restaurants, and as far as egg rolls and spring rolls go, your pretty much covered. BYOB and also a bit of a loud environment as they are usually quite busy, that having been said, there staff are always so nice about the wait time and even cut it short for me once! If your stomach can wait a maximum of 40 minutes, you will be very happy with your well spent 13 dollars.
Bluekimchi Andrea
This place is amazing! The food is terrific and well priced with a lot of gluten free options. I ordered take out tonight and the place was hopping. Both for in house dining and the take out. From where I was sitting and waiting, I could see into the kitchen. They wear gloves for everything and it is a well oiled machine. The wait staff were hustling and doing such a fantastic job, I was very impressed. My wait, I THINK was around a half hour, which isn't bad and they are worth this wait. Thank you amazing staff at Pho Hong!
linh ta
A great find! This is authentic! You can smell the herbs and spices used to make Pho. We came as a group of 8 people and ordered different dishes to try. Lots of flavors. There was DEFINITELY ( especially with our big group) a long wait time but I can say it was well worth the wait. Very friendly owner. Had a chance to chat with her a little bit about how she came to open up her restaurant. It was a great meal to end our vacation. Wished we lived closer. We would definitely be back next time we're near by.

How do they have time to be so nice?
This inexpensive and bustling restaurant certainly wins the juggling act with the windows steamed up from a steady stream of diners. If your tastebuds are looking for something new, you won't be disappointed by the combinations of mild curry, coconut milk, basil and slices of apple.
This is our go-to for takeout when we're feeling run-down. The Pho broth is mild and flavorful, served with vegetables like bean sprouts to help get your immune system back on its feet. They even have a platter with fixins to fill Spring Rolls if you have your own rice wrappers! My own small peeve is that the soup is not served piping hot. So I get the take out and heat it up at home.
Grace
Amazing place! We were tired from the hiking and were looking for some comfort food. This place nails it. Everything is so good, you can see the care the owner put in the dish. Highly recommend Tofu Tod and Sticky rice mango (never had anything quite like this). Happy tummy.:)
Tuan Tran
Perfect authentic Vietnamese restaurant and attentive waiters and restaurant kitchen staffs and friendly manager Im willing to support my Viet community business in Vermont
Reveena Rothman-Rudnicki
I spent a month in Vietnam and this resto is LEGIT and arguably the best restaurant in Burlington. The food is so delicious and fresh and flavourful and very vegetarian friendly as they'll make most dishes with tofu if you'd like.
Brian Galvin
Excellent food and service. Highly recommend!
Megan C
I always stop here when I'm in Burlington. The Vietnamese curry is one of my favorite curries ever. The veggie pho is decent, not as much flavor as I had hoped.
Finn L
Could I love a restaurant more? Nope. The food is tasty with rich flavors. It's also one of the few places in the area where every single time you order, it's amazing. They are always packed and the phone is constantly busy with orders, which as a fan makes me infinitely happy. I will wait as long as needed, and encourage others to do so.
Small family establishment, and the pricing is incredible. Warning, the large bowls will test the stretch of your stomach, and the pho is probably one of the best things to soothe a soul or help you heal when you feel ill. I regularly get the panang curry. On occasion I will drift, but that's my favorite brain happy order from anywhere I have ever been. Give them all of your money. Allofit.
Travis Napoli
An absolutely amazing place with the best Thai food I have ever eaten. Love it and worth any wait (they are incredibly fast BTW) or distance required to get to.
I once drove 3 hrs just to eat here and watch a sunset. The sunset was amazing but the food was what I will always remember.
Keep up the amazing work!!

My friends and family love the food. It’s my go-to spot with friends! It always seems busy, but the staff makes sure you’re taken care of. I highly recommend Pho Hong. My favorite is the 33, but the curry’s are very flavorful also. All the food is great and worth trying.
Maja Komorek
My husband and I came here for lunch because of all of the glowing reviews. The restaurant is very clean and the service is fast. We were given tea when we arrived which was very good. We ordered vegetarian rolls and tiger rolls for appetizers which were fresh, crispy, and absolutely delicious. For entrees we got the seafood special and a chicken/veggie stir fry over rice noodles. The entrees were average, not bad but not great either. The food seemed fresh, which is great, but kind of bland and dry. I don't think I'd come back soon.

My (now) husband brought me here for our first date 4.5 years ago. This has remained one of our favorite places in Burlington. The pho is perfect on a cold winter’s day or if you feel under the weather (insider tip, order with extra veggies if you want more substance than the typical protein and broth). Also love all the fixings available even with take out (yummy Thai Basil and bean sprouts). The curries are scrumptious and the spring rolls are super flavorful. Wonderfully considerate to gluten-free and other dietary restrictions. Love you Pho Hong!!
Ian Downie
Awesome spot, one of the better places in Burlington to go eat. The dishes are really good and they have plenty of great vegetarian options
Scott Underwood
Our party of 8 tried 6 different entrees & several appetizers. All of us thought the food was FANTASTIC!! I especially enjoyed the mango salad & the spring rolls
F Jolicoeur
Every time I go there, the aroma of their delicious soups and their fresh tasting spring rolls make the wait worth it. I recently tried to bring their food as take-out to Plattsburgh and the generous portions and well packaged meals made it safely to be appreciated by all. If dining in, do not be in a hurry as this is a popular non-pretentious gem! Service is fast, polite, and always with a warm smile regardless of the insane number of orders filled from opening to closing. One of my top choices in Burlington for sure!!!
Eric Attard
Excellent food, very tasty, served very quickly.
Small seating area that was completely full.
I wish that they would not seat parties of 2 on a table that can seat 4-5 and then keep the party of 4 waiting for a number of other tables to free up in order to seat them.
Overall very good, will be back again, friendly staff and great flavours!
Natalie Dutra
Always very busy but it's because it is a great place to eat an take out. Plan to wait half hour for take out an most of the time even longer to be seated. Well worth the wait! Once you have been seated though they are very prompt at getting the rest of your meal ordered an put on your table. It is a louder atmosphere to be in. My only suggestion to the business would be to find a bigger place for business an expand. I think they would do great if they had more room. Its very tight in there!
Tayler Engel
Some of the Best Pho I’ve had anywhere. The broth is so flavorful and rich. The #7 is my go to, but everything else is really really good. Sometimes there’s a bit of a wait, but it’s not long. The service is excellent and very friendly. Highly recommend.
Desiree Vo
Love this place! There is a wait on fri-sat nights. We always go for lunch during the week and avoid the lines. I love their food and milkshakes. Try the coconut or avocado milkshake if you go! Definitely a must try if you haven't been
Alexander
Only good things to say. Often it's super busy - for good reason! But, and this is key in my book, once you sit down, it feels calm! We never felt rushed, the servers are friendly, explain everything clearly, and are very responsive (water refills, etc). Delicious bright fresh food, everything is yummy. we usually get a small meal soup to share for 2, plus get a dish each. The mango salad is also great. Go there - you'll be happy and full.
Devin G
Never had a bad experience here. Can get a little busy and crowded but it's worth the wait.
jon gurney
Amazing restaurant and service was impeccable. Super busy and my food only took 10 minutes for take away. I got the number 7 - beef soup - and it was diving and tasty!! Check out this spot
Kaylee White
The friendliest people ever! They were super busy and had a ton of orders but still made us feel like valued customers. And the food was awesome! I highly recommend.
Erin Mitchell
Wonderful meal today! Fabulous selection of menu items, great service, reasonable prices, super clean, relaxing atmosphere. I would highly recommend and definitely will go again.
Keanu Ikalani
5 stars all the way! Coming from Hawaii it's hard to find authentic food here on the mainland. Pho Hong has met and exceeded the expectations. The price, quality and quantity of the food is second to none. If you get a chance, stop what you're doing and stop by this fantastic Vietnamese restaurant. We had the spicy calamari, vermicelli bowl with chicken, and mild pork curry...all of them deserve 5 stars. Please stop by, these guys are doing something magical. Staff were all very attentive, helpful and friendly. ALOHA Pho Hong thank you for making great food and for providing awesome service.
Beatriz Salazar Núñez
I took a group of high school students to a conference at the University of Vermont and they graciously allowed me to choose lunch. I decided we would check this place out - and it was SO GOOD! This place was great! They were not very busy when we got there, but you could tell the owner took very good care of his customers. He knew many of them by name and another client (a regular customer) had taken her family from out of town to enjoy the food there. The service was great, timely & friendly, the food was delicious, and a great overall find for us! My students begged to go back every day we were at the conference - unfortunately time would not allow, but I would DEFINITELY go back!
Joan Ang
Just had the best claypot shrimp ever. Shrimps were super fresh, paired with nicely caramelized onions and awesome spicy sauce. I was actually sad when I finished my meal. Service was quick and staffs were friendly. Would definitely come back again if I'm around the area.
Khevna Bhavsar
Awesome combination of Vietnamese and Thai food. Since we're vegetarian they had lots of options & tasted good.
Ryan Mitofsky
Literally the best pho I've ever had. I get 26 every chance I get, although all menu items are so good you can't go wrong. Everyone has their own favorite. So lucky to live near this amazing restaurant. Fair warning: they are always busy, so be prepared to be patient - it's worth the wait.
Wesley G. Kenney
Cheap, quick, and delicious. This place has great food, and a fun buzz. There is usually a wait at peak times, but once you get a table it won't be long before you are enjoying delicious food. They offer take-out for anyone who just wants some Vietnamese food at home.
Mary Liesenberg
Best in the area! Love the service most times I’ve been! Wish the broth had more punch, but I’m used to Vietnamese heaven in LA and San Diego so that’s probably not a fair judgement—super homey food feels on rainy and cold days. Well priced and easy on the wallet!
Amanda Thomas
Who doesn’t love this place! Food is the same every single time which is amazing. They’re family owned and we love to support local businesses.
Sheela Shetty
Food was amazing. Despite being so busy, it was ready in minutes and also super fresh. Our server was so friendly. We can say this was our best meal in Burlington. Highly recommend to anyone looking for delicious vietnamese food.
Bill Jenks
Good Food. Cozy atmosphere. Busy. Had the spare-rib special... it was awesome. Is this the most authentic Vietnamese food in the New England area? I got no idea. I do know that what hit my tongue was great.
Jon Cohen
I will go out of my way to eat here. Great food, Pho like mom used to make. (Wait my mother never made Pho).
Ron C.
Awesome food, good prices, very friendly service. This place is really, really hard to beat!
James Eyler
Best pho place around, usually hard to get a spot to eat there but, that speaks to how many people love this place
Kevin Sword
This restaurant has amazing food for amazing prices. If you see peppers on your menu watch out! 🐉 If you like to have your sinuses cleared then go for it! An early dinner is nice because it gets very busy on the weekend. They do close in the afternoon so that the staff can eat and rest a bit. You can also get takeout. But if you decide to eat in, the tea that is served has an incredible flavor. It tastes like some sort of roasted grain and is served at a hot but wonderfully drinkable temperature. It's a good palate refresher and clears away the heat of a 2-pepper labeled meal.
Kara Hamilton
Perfect low-key, small family-owned, Vietnamese restaurant. It's counter service, BYOB, and they have takeout. I had seared sirloin and onions marinated in chili and lemongrass over rice noodles with lots of herbs and greens. It was delicious, and a good portion. Cool location too! Near Barrio Bakery, VT Workers Center, and Outright VT!
Kayla
Your neighborhoods kindest staff! The food is amazing and it’s our favorite. We get the same numbers every time. 7, 15 and 13
Leeann Hedley
This place is small and ALWAYS packed with people. Teir food its always hot and is consistantly made well. The staff is friendly and the food is well portioned. You can also bring your own beer and wine. I love #25 the sweet potato curry. Best I've ever had. If you want great food at a great price and don't mind waiting a bit to get it. This is your place.
Chester Elliott
One of my favorite restaurants in Burlington. Friendly service, delicious affordable food, and BYOB. I had the spicy sichuan eggplant stir fry last time and I highly recommend it. Also I love that the numbering on their menu starts at 0.
Liveto Ride
Very nice staff. First time. Great mango salad and Pho.
Christopher Reid
Great authentic Vietnamese place. We had pho soup and some shrimp and veggie rolls and everything was great. Service was good and the place was packed. The dining room is small and you don't go there for the decor, but food is authentic and really good.
David Tamas-Parris
Great Vietnamese food that I would be willing to pay much more for. It's often really crowded because of that, so take that into consideration (especially since they don't do reservations). Their Thai food is okay, but not where they shine. Milkshakes are awesome, too. A great place to eat with friends.
KYLE COTNOIR
Classy atmosphere with a fantastic, satisfying menu. No reservations but it's worth the wait, and if you can't wait they have take out. Service is great, food is amazing, what's not to love?
Paul Sears
Amazing family run Vietnamese restaurant with friendly staff and delicious food. The wait can be a little long at peak dining times as it is a small place but well worth it. It is also one of the only BYOB friendly restaurants in Burlington that I know of as they do not serve alcohol but will gladly bring you a glass for your wine or beer that you bring.
Michelle Rosengarten
The food here is good, but the wait is long at dinner time. I would not recommend going here if you're starving because it's hard to wait so long while smelling delicious food.
We waited for a almost half an hour to be seated and I heard that the take out people were waiting up to 45min. When we eventually were seated, we weren't served for another 15min because the server thought that he'd taken our order already. By the time we got our food, it was an hour since we got there.
The wait was worth it though. We ordered a Vietnamese crepe and and a bowl of pho with beef, beef balls, tripe, and tendon (#8 on the menu). The pho was delicious, not as good as the ones you find Boston, but it's almost there and better than anything you can find in NH and VT. The crepe was okay, it was filled with too much sprouts for my liking, but it had good flavor. We also ordered an avocado shake and a papaya salad and they were both good.
Chris MacCoy
We love this place. Drove here from Mount snow. My girl friend and I have lived in Vietnam, she is from there. This Cafe sua (coffee with condensed milk) is so good. She says best she's had in the US. The Thai iced tea is not amazing but it's fine. Food is great. Only place I know to have traditional Vietnamese ca ri.
jolly lal
Very flavorful food. Beef was tender. Seafood special tasted fresh.. We skipped Church st restaurants in favor of this restaurant. The young wait staff were very attentive and pleasant
Sean Martin
It is the creme de la creme of Pho in Burlington! Tiger Rolls are outrageous! I suggest getting three orders and not counting how many you eat! I like that mostly everything I try is delicious. Not to mention the general friendliness of their staff! They are cruising because they are always busy, but always have time for a smile and a "how ya doin'?"
Also great after dinner treats at the register!
Kristin Sherwood
This place has fantastic food! The service is a little slow (we had to ask for the check after waiting a while) but it tastes fresh and delicious. My husband got a beef pho and I got ginger chicken stir fry and both were great
Allan Bursaw
Fast service and great food. The pho comes in good portions and has plenty of sprouts and lime to toss in latter if you want. I have never been disappointed with a meal here. It can be crowded, but it's certainly worth the wait.
Dean Corren
Always great, always a wait, but always worth it.
Douglas Cenci
This place is awesome. Very relaxed atmosphere, authentic menu, BYOB. The pho broth is one of the better I've had, the spring rolls were super legit and the goi con were pretty decent. The staff is friendly and easy to work with as well. All around good place to eat but go early because it's popular.
Sandip Madan
Pros: Good food, service, ambiance and prices. It's a popular restaurant we have visited four times in as many months. Even on weekday nights there was a short wait involved two of those times. It's not large and nothing fancy but the clientele is lively and decent people, many of them young that are probably students from nearby colleges. We've invariably enjoyed our meals.
The only concern I have is with their billing practices. They only scrawl the items ordered and the total amount without listing individual prices and taxes. Twice we had come with friends in a group of four and paid without checking for accuracy. But the other two times when we came as a couple we did a quick check and discovered both times that the bill had been erroneously inflated by a couple of dollars. They speedily rectified it when we pointed this out and it's a very minor irritant. But we wonder if this is a routine and deliberate practice on their part. If they want more from customers I'd prefer if they simply raise their prices a bit rather than fudging and obscuring the bill. You'd do well to check yours before paying.
hieu mon chu
This is a pretty outstanding restaurant. The menu is more varied than your usual pho or noodle shop.
They offer curries and other stir fry options not usually seen. There are many vegetarian options and they can alter the spice levels in some dishes.
If you prefer your pho broth heavier on aromatics, this is for you.
The Vietnamese ice coffee is a must have, even if you're not a coffee person.
Try it, you might like it.
Sweet with a hit of mild bitterness, its refreshing and awakening!
The staff is friendly and efficient. They do a great job for how busy it gets.
Thank you Pho Hong!
Matthew Kinzler
Simply the best, freshest, tastiest Vietnamese food in Burlington. Usually long wait times, but absolutely worth it. Try the #33 (bun with marinated fried pork and sliced green apples). Also, the mango salad is great. Don't forget to wash it down with a coconut milkshake (squeeze in some lime juice to bring it to the next level). The best!
Bryan Milne
The BEST vietnamese food I've sampled anywhere, including better than any of the several establishments I've frequented in the NYC/tri-state area. One thing to keep in mind though, if you order their #4 appetizer expecting crispy fried spring rolls you might get upset when you open your takeout bag at home and find two summer rolls instead! No worries the summer rolls are delicious too, especially with some hoison sauce! Just know that next time when you order to ask for a side of crispy egg rolls, because at this joint their summer rolls are called spring rolls and their spring rolls are called egg rolls! Thank you for serving up the best food ever Pho Hong! Merry Christmas 💚 Happy Holidays 🎄
Karina McGrath
We always love Pho Hong, the service, the people and of course the food. The only thing for parents with babies there is no changing table in the bathroom, we improvised by using a leather bench outside the bathrooms, but keep that in mind. They still accommodate us in one of the benches which was nice!
Darren Moffat
Beef Pho with Veg
A light flavorful broth both savory and a little sweet. Good depth. A little lighter than I usually go for but surprisingly enjoyable.
The sliced beef, tripe and tendon was done well. Fresh and reasonably tender.
Vegetables were fresh and tender crisp.
Jake Hellenschmidt
Very authentic and a great atmosphere.
Marla Emery
Pho Hong is always delicious and the staff is super friendly and helpful. This evening I had a #27, sauteed calamari with peanuts and lemongrass. The calamari was cooked to perfection and the flavors were terrific.
ad dy
Seriously the best! Great food and great staff. They're super attentive despite how busy they are. I've never had vegetarian pho that was as delicious as theirs.
Darryl
Service is fantastic. I rated low due to the fact nobody in my party was happy with the food including me that we ordered.
Curry is coconut wilk with a redish oil and poor flavor. Oil just floated on top. If it is on the menu as curry it needs to look more like curry and not like soup.
The salmon plate and the spicy duck has an overwhelming pineapple flavor that really ruined the meal. Spicy duck was not spicy at all sweet and sour and I could not even stomach the salmon because all i tasted was pineapple.
The Soups are your best options. Full of flavor and a huge serving for the price.
Cami Bilardello
Amazing food! I ordered the 16 with tofu & it was great! The service was also super friendly & efficient! Can’t wait to eat here again
Nahee K.
This place has great pho. The broth is rich and flavorful. The place is really busy on weekends with lots of take out orders, so it took a little longer than I expected to get the food, but it was well worth it.
Elizabeth McCarthy
Food is great. They have a tendency to misplace phone orders. Plan on waiting an extra half hour past what they tell you for pick up.
Taylor Fargo
Delish food and great service! A bit of a hassle to order and pickup from during covid because there isn’t an online ordering option or clear system or signage to ensuring the number of people inside is kept to a minimum. Love supporting this restaurant, but I don’t always feel safe during pickup due to covid :/.
Noor Hage
Great food with great service! They’re always slammed (because they’re so good), but still manage to provide amazing service and get your order out quickly. Best pho in the area!
august ruiz
The food was great but the womens bathroom i saw a cockroach and a rat i screamed but you should try the food (i think it also happend to the mens restroom i saw a little hole to the other bathroom)
michael mizrahi
We ordered to pick up. Phone person was great, in person pick up they were that is for our support. Good was terrific! Not to mention very well proceed. I don't know if there is anything you add.
Anup Patil
Very good restaurant. Food was fresh and very tasty.
Staff was very nice and service was great too. Despite being busy, the service was fast. They has vegetarian options too. Would definitely recommend for some good tasty food.
Elliot Schneider
Affordable and great food. Because of this, it gets quite busy. Plan for quite a wait if you go Friday evening. Take out is always a solid choice but be willing to wait if no one picks up at peak hours. The parking lot is very small but there is street parking in the area so you should be all set.
Chris Bini
The stir fries are great and so are the curries. Their Tom Yum soup isn't as good as Tiny Thai's but still is very tasty. I am yet to have a bad dining experience here (except for the wait at times) and its BYOB. I like the menu items 12 and 28 the best.
Alexander Prus
Terrific Vietnamese food. Heart warming, delicious, fast, and a great value. 100% would go back if/when I return to Burlington.
Myriam
Really really like this restaurant. The service needs to be a bit better as tables were not getting cleared fast enough and it was quite hard to get the attention of the server despite the lunch rush being over.
However, the food is AWESOME. Super fresh, very good, generous portions.
Olin Garneau
Food was good, first time having Vietnamese food! Service was good. Place could use some upgrades tho
Bailey Kimball
Pho Hong is always a great time! The atmosphere and nice and cozy and the staff are quick and friendly. My friend makes me go twice a week with her it’s so good!
Tony Hanf
My first Pho experience and it was delicious! Big portions and fresh ingredients. Can get busy and take a while for food to come out, but it is worth it.
Justin Joslin
As someone whose heard the term "pho" many times but never actually took the leap to try, I was whole heartedly impressed with this restaurant. The atmosphere of the place is welcoming and the staff are very attentive! Food wise - quick, hot, and OH so delicious! Beginning with the appetizer, I knew right off this place had FRESH ingredients and took pride in what they were serving from their kitchen. The BOYB factor was the first I've experienced and thought it was a super cool idea! I will definitely be returning and so should you! A+++
Lee Weltman
Had takeout there a few nights ago and both dishes had great flavor, good portion sizes and were reasonably priced. This place is one of the best restaurants in Burlington in my opinion.
B-Trone Skapown
I have only been once but the atmosphere, service, prices and serving sizes were all great. Unless you are exceptionally hungry ID suggest the smaller of the two available noodle bowls.
Josh Bugbee
Best Vietnamese food in burlington, always busy, so plan ahead! BYOB. Anything on the menu is great, my usual is #4 (fresh spring rolls) and #15 with extra egg rolls. So great every time!!
Jay No one
Best PHO food I have had yet, prices are very reasonable. The place was very busy and the staff did a really good job keeping pace. I would recommend that Pho Hong raise their prices 10%, because they can.
M Fish
Huge pros: authentic, delicious food, BYOB, fast service once you sit down, inexpensive.
Con: if you can't stand waiting for food, busy nights here are not for you. Last time my friend and I waited an hour and a half for a table for two. We thought it was worth it.
Maxine Kravitz
A friendly clean atmosphere with many options on the menu. Also a kid friendly environment. I do not generally enjoy phó, but I can enjoy many Vietnamese options and not feel awkward about not ordering noodles when my friends want phó.
Vincent Mazzaferro
Fresh ingredients and excellent preparation make a great meal. The price is right and so is the service. The server was so busy with running the restaurant yet still provided fast and friendly service. I would highly recommend this establishment.
Kyle Ross
My favorite order option is 11 1/2, which is a wonton soup.
But this spot is a favorite in a lot of ways, for take-out or dine-in (where you can BYOB). I've been more than 10 times, in some forms, and the only time the food ever tasted bad which is when I was fighting with my fiancé, which I blame on her.
Staff, food, service, location, price, etc. All great.
John Butler
The best cost to taste good in the many restaurants that I have tried in Burlington. And in the top 5 of best food, period in Burlington. Simply incredible. And it is hard justifying going anywhere else but here.
Barbara Oliver
The food is always delicious..made with fresh ingredients & visually appealing. I ordered Vegetarian Pho but with Shrimp because it's my favorite. I sat outside & was checked on frequently...
Allie Johnston
This place is incredible. I haven't had a dish here I didn't like and the prices are great! The beef pho is the best in the area. Great staples like bún thịt nướng, gỏi cuốn, and panang curry-- authentic flavors in everything. Unfortunately this place only seats around 30 people so don't go on a friday/saturday during dinner time unless you want to wait 30 mins for seating. No reservations. Food always comes out in under 15 minutes. I will continue to go here at least every other weekend if I can.
Chuck Harding
Kind workers, good service, nice location, GREAT FOOD with good prices and good portion sizes, and yeah. You've gotta go there or i'll drag you there myself.
Rijad Kapetanovic
Nice little restaurant with plenty of good selection in food. Always busy and packed with great people. Sometimes it's little too packed so food comes later and cold at times and I don't like plastic wine glasses :) In all a great place for a meetup or date. Will be coming back.
jmghaven
I suspected I might be in for a treat when I had to wait for a table at 1:40pm, well beyond a typical lunch hour. I was right. The pho was fragrant, steaming hot and enriching. Everything else I saw emerge from the kitchen looked equally enticing. I doubt I'll be back to Burlington, but if I do find myself there, I will come back to Pho Hong!
John Gillis
Outstanding food. Great service. This place is always packed.
Stephanie Gibson
Seriously good food! It's a small place so there's usually a short wait and it's so worth it. We've never been disappointed with a meal here.
Mark Costanzo
I’m here once a week, best pho place around no question! Great service and it’s BYOB can’t beat it. Also the tea they have is fantastic and great for a sore throat. I’m trying to remember what it’s called if anyone could help me?
John Forguites
wonderful food, added seating is great.
Jodi Campbell
Pho Hong was an awesome place. Very good food and atmosphere. Waiter was nice with a nice smile, everyone was very welcoming. Great food with a good "local " feel.
Shayna Walker
This has been my favorite restaurant for sooooo long!! And I think it will continue to be my favorite. The food there is so healthy and good!!!! I would go there forever!!! Pho hong pho ever!
Mike
Best pho in town. This place is delicious, adorable, and BYOB. I've been going here for years and it's consistently great food. Also love that it's a family run business. Get the #4 and #15 with chicken.
Jason Hao
Really fantastic pho option - they serve giant bowls of hot noodles for under 10 dollars. Often times a wait but worth it. They also have other good Asian options if you're not in the mood for noodles.
Ron Marshall
My friends and family have eaten here several times. The best deal for great food in Burlington. Wonderful flavors, great service, wide choice of delicious dishes.
Paul Doucette
Been here several times when in town. Fantastic staff, and best Vietnamese food around! Did I mention BYOB!
Veronica Polinedrio
Very delicious and very kind staff!
Katherine L
Probably the best pho in VT, you really can’t go wrong. The servers are always incredibly friendly and fast. I’ve been known to go multiple times a week. I just wish they’d expand because it can get crowded!
John Hawkins
Delicious food, friendly staff, great fusion of other Asian foods that are good but the Vietnamese is spectacular. Go you will not regret it.
Nathaniel Adkins
One of the best restaurants in Burlington. Amazing food and great staff. A little small but most people seem to do takeout so it's not hard to get a seat.
Geoffrey Duke
Really good food, friendly staff. My spouse eats Gluten Free, and they we're happy to point out GF options and offer some substitutions for other dishes.
Zac I
bryan hong showed me this place and it was the best meal I’ve had. Appreciate him and his hospitality
Nate L
Best food in town. Service is timely, food is hot, and the space is very authentic. We sat on the patio and (weather permitting) had a fantastic experience.
Tina Lemay
The Pho was good, but I look forward to sampling more items. They do a huge take-out business and there are not many seats for dining in, so I suggest going early or just order take-out.
Andy Barney
I eat Pho all over the country. I've only given a few 5s, wish I could do a 4.8 for this place. Very good pho. Place was slammed when I arrived at 8 45. Good job guys!
Maya Jamaleddine
Me and my roommate eat here every Friday because we know the food will always be good! We're working our way through the menu and haven't been disappointed.
Kyle Lee
The setting and the staff were good. But the pho was salty and didn't really have a authentic feel to it. Other than the food there was outside seating. I would not go again.
Alexander Karczewski
Food came super fast and servings were large. The atmosphere is great and prices are decent. A bit of a wait for a table during peak hours.
Sanjit Asokan
We visited this place in the evening and it was super busy. The food is prepared fresh and may take a while to get it to the table depending on the crowd; they have a small kitchen. The place is very clean and well maintained. Overall, a very nice and authentic place and we will definitely visit again.
Czarina Marie Shepard
So so so good. Excellent customer service and their take out is amazing. Best Pho around. Hi Ron!!!
Nicole White
This place is my favorite, always my go to. Great portions, fresh delicious food, great staff ❤🙌 all good things to say about pho hong …
Lilia Wilson
I’m from Chicago and I make a point to always come to Pho Hong while I’m in Burlington - it’s BY FAR my favorite pho place I’ve ever come across - LOVE it
Elaine Evarts
Fabulous food, great prices, excellent service in the restaurant and quick turnaround for pick-up orders. Pho Hong is ALWAYS busy every time a go - everyone loves it.
Liz Sargent
My daughter said best Pha soup she has ever tasted. Loved it too, really good food. Small place to eat but worth it.
shortieXV
Nice homey food for a pretty reasonable price. Away from the main hustle of Church Street so it still feels a bit like a hidden gem. Parking can be weird but worth the trouble.
Abby Draper
They can get super busy, but you know staff is doing their best to handle the volume. Food is incredible and reasonably priced!!! BYOB!! Such a perfect place.
Ali Toal
Best Vietnamese I've ever had. Highlights were definitely the pho, Vietnamese fried rice and the panang curry. Incredible!
Thoast Romosto
Great Pho in a small setting, quick take out, and no frills BYOB dining. Not going to find a better meal for $10-$18 bucks.
Sara Johnson
Very good food, highly recommended. We enjoyed the vibrance in the restaurant and the vibe of people waiting for takeout.
Kevin Delay
When hungover time hit you come here get protein and caffeine. They will hook up mad good food that you then Will eat. This is my friend hung. His parents liked the place so much they named him after it. Hung is wicked Smaht you should be friends with him.
Lauren Scarpati
My favorite restaurant in Burlington and one of my favorites overall! Can’t go wrong here — everything I’ve tried is delicious. Excellent service.
Adam Saunders
The quality to price here is GREAT! My favorite are the rice noodle dishes. Get there early if you're going for dinner as there is usually a line. Great people, great food!
Eran Efrati
An incredible family owned and run establishment, with phenomenal Vietnamese dishes and amazing service. Hands down the best Vietnamese in Burlington, and with really great prices.
Jamaliya Cobine
My absolute favorite, the food is so good I’m willing to overlook the fact that it’s constantly chaotic from a service perspective (regardless if you eat in or takeaway). Busy in a good way 👌🏼 …
William Eisner
Been making a weekly trip to Burlington, picking up take out from Pho Hong. Service is the epitome of politeness, food is delicious and generous.
Hugh Gedik
Best pho in VT! Nicest staff too. Easily the best customer service of any take out place I've been to, anywhere. We stop in at least 3 times a month.
Vicki Matthews
They have the best Pho soup, either the beef or chicken. I like to add extra vegetables to the soup which makes this even better. Don't forget to add the siracha sauce
Roland Brutkoski
Best pho, friendly atmosphere, very quick service, large portions.....only downfall is parking at times is scarce...but don't let that keep you away for some excellent food!!
Émilie La Boissière
Best food we had in Burlington! Fresh ingredients, very friendly service and the taste was everything I was looking for. Definitely recommending this place!
Lydia Lowery Busler
Fabulous food (try the Spicy Salmon OMG or the Panang Curry - or go for the Pho!!), affordable, laid-back, accommodating and compassionate regarding my severe soy allergy (that's HUGE). ~~LOVE from a foodie~~
Jenny Panergo

Excellent food and friendly staff! I recommend going early/late or getting take out because the line for a table can get quite long!
Dude Brett
Was excellent food the couple times I went. Very busy place however. Make sure you plan an extra 10 min. It's worth it I think...
G N
Excellent food and the drink selection is nice. I had a drink (sorry I cannot remember name) that was delicious, I have only had it there. Came in a can, sweet. Merci
Julianna Roen
Best Vietnamese food in Vermont and possibly the United States. I haven't been to too many places outside of VT, but you can't beat the price and quality that Pho Hong serves.
Avery Brooks (Ava)
Very good food! Meat was tough and knives were dull, so had to eat my pork a bit ‘caveman-style’ but the food itself was delicious.
Tom Kimball
Pretty tasty Vietnamese. Good, not great, portion sizes. Good prices.
You should go there if you're in Burlington and want Vietnamese.
Pratik Dhandharia
Found this restaurant on our way to Burlington, VT. Its just on the north of Burlington and the food they serve here is really delicious. It is somewhat small place and the ambiance is ok for a Vietnamese place. Food is good.
Nathan Kristoff
Everything was delicious! The staff is super friendly, too. This place is a must whether you live here or are just visiting.
Talor Stewart
Food is exceptional, place is seriously overcrowded. Even take out line is ridiculous. Phoned in my order and came 35 minutes later as instructed I still had to wait 15 minutes to get my order... try going for lunch instead...
Adam DeMasi
Good service, delicious food, bill that ended up at $25 for two people. I'm not sure what else needs to be said if you like Vietnamese food and are in the ONE hit this place up!
Mike Trick
Great food at good prices. Pho is excellent as is the #24 "crepe". Actually, everything is good. Never had a bad meal there.

Daniel Fortier
Serene, comfortable, and casual space. Unobtrusive, friendly, and efficient service. Cuisine as it should be, exceptional ingredients, carefully prepared, and craftfully presented. Another ONE gem to complete the Golden Triangle along with Bario Bakery, and Butch & Babe's. Once City Market on N Winooski is complete, there'll be no reason to venture further north than Pearl Street!
F. Gry
Yum! That's a great way to describe Pho Hung!

Patrick Wu (Wunderful)
Food was decent but they ran out of beef pho... That is really poor for running out of your main dish. I came from Montreal to try out this vietnamese restaurant due to the ratings but it is honestly not that great.
Dax Marshel
