November 2022 Update - Jr's Original Peking Duck is back to being an Italian restaurant, so what follows is not relevant any longer :( First things first... you might have guessed by the restaurant's name, this is no longer an Italian restaurant! Make sure you're looking at the right reviews and menus when doing your research. We were saddened to hear of Silver Palace's closing but delighted to hear the two chefs from Silver Palace were going to be serving up the delicious food we'd become accustomed to at this new location, Jr's Original Peking Duck House. We started with a couple of cocktails (Sparkling Blossom and Tokyo Fashion) to accompany our appetizers - Popcorn Shrimp and Szechuan Dim Sum. Both were delicious and we did a very poor job of pacing ourselves. We chose the Sweet and Sour Chicken and the Sesame Shrimp for our entrees and were delighted by the aroma and taste of the food. The servings were large and we have plenty left for another meal. Our server (I didn't get his name... sorry!!) was fantastic. He was attentive and made an already great dining experience that much better. Definitely going back!

This restaurant is far beyond fantastic. Full bar and Italian food. The chicken Alfredo is the best Alfredo that I have EVER eaten in my life. I can't say enough about the quality of the service and the taste of their food. I will most definitely go back if given the opportunity!

We had lo mein and chicken gwin jin. Both were excellent. Drinks were good. The only disappointment were the spring rolls, which seemed to be pre-made frozen type. Will definitely visit again, just will try a different app next time

THIS PLACE IS INCREDIBLE! We ordered the walnut salad, two chicken parms (one with angel hair pasta), and a carbonara. Such delicious food, and we will definitely be coming back soon :-D

We were first time guests, and I can assure you that we will be back! It was a busy Saturday night and the service was absolutely impeccable, the timirof the amazingly delicious food was perfect, the ambiance was filled with good energy. I had a scallop special while the others in my group ordered from the menu, we were all beyond full and satisfied… then hubby decided to get this amazing flourless chocolate cake, he couldn’t finish the generous portions. We are looking forward to coming back!

Super delicious pasta. We love this place, but recently, we were pretty disappointment with the service. We were met with an obviously frustrated waiter. We would have preferred he had told us that we were too late to be seated, rather than have him roll his eyes when we asked for our bill split in two. Food was delicious as always!

I keep words to a minimum as Jr's speaks for itself. Love, love, love this place for the staff friendliness, AWESOME food, and super cool, but simple atmosphere. Must eat here if in the area and don't stop at the pizza......OH, NO the dishes are super delish and prepared to order. 👍 Yup

Really 4.5 Stars....great service....generous portions...food was very good. Whole size arugula salad was big enough for 3....very tasty....frite mere was also large and very good....veal marsala was very good....wines very fairly priced...we will be back.

Recently got catering for my mother's surprise party. One tray of chicken parm and one tray of lasagna. Both dishes were excellent! The order came with fresh bread also. Very fair priced and the owner was a pleasure to deal with. The food was hot and ready when I got there to pick it up. Would definitely recommend for any catering needs. By far the best Italian food I've had in the whole state.

Had my first dinner at the soft open and I didn't disappoint. Sczechuan beef and peppers was amazing. Portion sizes are abundant for leftovers. Chef Ryan is an amazing cook with years of experience. Definitely check it out because I am SURE you will return for more

This restaurant changed over from an Italian to a Chinese restaurant in July of 2022. We were delighted to learn that two chefs from a recently closed local favorite, The Silver Palace, were there and brought some of their signature dishes along with them. We will definitely be returning soon!

We have always been a fan of their Italian food and still visit the Williston location, but were excited to try their new Peking Duck House menu. It was delicious! We had the Peking duck and crispy pork, the family style meals were perfect for us. The potstickers were a great start to our meal. We are all looking forward to returning and trying other items! UPDATE: For some reason, they have now changed this once great Italian spot to Chinese? They're overpriced for the food they're serving, and it's extremely americanized. There are so many amazing Chinese reastruants in the vicinity. They made a terrible decision by switching. They keep trying to send people to Jr's in Williston that's owned by the brother but to be honest, they're terrible over there, no where near as good of food as Jr's original had plus the staff is a head ache. Never going back to the Chinese half or the Italian half. Absolutely love the food and the service! As someone from New york/Florida I felt it was hard to find a good Italian reasturant with options around here. But Jr's is incredible, the food is amazing and the owner and his girlfriend are sweethearts. It's amazing going into a reasturant and seeing how they genuinely care about their service and quality of food. I will absolutely be a returning customer for a long time!

The best Italian place around. I come up from CT and I go skiing at Stowe and I make the drive here just to enjoy their food. The owner is super nice. A great place for sure. I called in advance to make a reservation for 7 people . They were so nice on the phone. We called ahead to place our order so we did not have to deal with menus. They were so so accommodating!! The table was set so nicely and the service was spot on. They really go out of their way for you. The pizza was hot and delicious. I'm looking forward to going back. The best pizza I have had in a LONG time, and I'm talking from California to Chicago to NYC to Florida. All the entrees that I tried (and I tried a bunch) were incredible - great flavors, large portions, professional and friendly service. Salads - ditto. Appetizers - ditto. The residents of Winooski should count themselves quite lucky. The only problem... they don't deliver to Naples, Florida... yet!

What an absolute great find for dinner. We are visiting from New York and decided to give them a shot. WOW. The pizza was great my wife got. The eggplant parm my daughter got was stellar. I got a SHRIMP Parmesan hero. THE BEST. They put monster shrimp in it. Was so good. I hope everyone gives this place a shot.

What an absolute gem!!! My boyfriend and I visited last night and had an excellent experience! We arrived close to closing time, but the owner graciously took us in and provided us with the best Italian dinner I've had in ages. The atmosphere is warm, the people are welcoming, and the food is to die for. We had the shrimp scampi and the alfredo tortellini, with an appetizer of fried ravioli. Everything was perfect and wonderfully delicious. We will be back!

I've been eating at Jr's since it was Jr's upstairs on route 7 about 20 years ago. If you can't tell by my name, I can be a little picky with my Italian food. I've always loved the quality of the food and recipes. I normally get the veal parm but there pizza is crazy good too. They also have a nice bar and service is always great. If you're looking for Italian food this is the place to go. I promise you. You won't regret it.

We called last minute to see if they had any openings. Super accommodating and friendly. I will be honest we weren't dressed accordingly and had what felt like a thousand kids in tow because the Jrs I remember from years ago behind the Burger King wasn't as fancy as this one, but they still treated us like family and we had legit one of the best meals I've had in a while. I could have drank my Alfredo sauce it was so good. Can't wait to go back for a date night with the hubby.

Pizza was solid but you can get better for less from lots of other spots (they skimp on the meats). Wings were pricey but nothing special, garlic bread was pretty light on the garlic. Nice spot to hang out but can't skimp on the meats with $25 pizzas.

Not only was there excellent service and hospitality provided by Robert. The mussels were to DIE for; and that's coming from a Maine boy. With a proper selection of IPA's I couldn't have asked for a better lunch. Highly recommend.

A fortunate find. I stay nearby for business occasionally and hadn’t noticed this place next to the noodle house that I have enjoyed a few times. I got a salad (spinach salad) to have a healthy side and it was completely delicious. It takes a lot to get me to get excited about salad. For an entré I ordered the fresh pasta of the day with Bolognese and as soon as I saw it I knew I wasn’t at olive garden. Basic flat noodles and I can’t remember their name, but the dish was fantastic, seriously rivaling some of the best Italian I’ve ever had. Even dredging the Bolognese up with the crusty bread would have been enough to make my evening. If this place stays on its game like this they should do very well. Pizza is part of their menu and perhaps I’ll have to try it on next visit. If they can do a pasta & sauce dish that I felt was uncommon quality and with beyond rich and heavenly flavors, surely the pizza could be great here too? I rely on Google reviews and ratings and such all the time when traveling, but I rarely bother to post a review. I enjoyed the quality and flavors here so much I decided I had to take a few moments to do it.

The food was delicious but they seemed very skimpy on the bread. I didn't have the best experience with the waiter. He wasn't very friendly and was seemingly rude when I asked about an antipasto salad. He said they don't serve " deli meat". Excuse me, there are many choices of fine Italian meats to have an antipasto salad on your menu. Instead of saying that, I chose to not say anything, my regret. I will try them again and will hope for a better waiter.

I've been there twice, enjoyed the food and atmosphere. I particularly liked the Bolognese pasta dish. Highly recommended! The craft beer was expensive. $8 for a 12oz pour of Fiddle Head is outrageous. Please fix your beer pricing and I'll be back often.

Amazing!!!!! This is by far the best service I have had in my LIFE! Anyone who knows me knows I eat out a lot! Seated right away..order taken within a few minutes of being seated ...soda at table within 5 minutes of entering and bread on the table almost immediately. Brittney and Rob were great! Food was awesome! I had chicken piccata, hubby had chicken franchise, mom had baked rigatoni and dad had tortelini ala panna. This is a MUST VISIT if you are in the Burlington Vermont area. This is a gem located at 348 main street in Winooski, Vermont. Wish I would of found it at the beginning of my vacation instead of the end...would of eaten here multiple times during my stay. Will be back next time I'm in the area.

I have been to Jr’s Original a few times now and never disappointed. I had a delicious seafood meal there a couple nights ago had like 30 steamers on it plus shrimp calamari over linguine. It was offered with white sauce but I liked red and they were able to accommodate me the meal was delicious I must’ve said wow 10 times while eating it I love how the owner always comes out and asked how your meal was. Their bartender his first class I've known him for years you will definitely enjoy this place give them a shot . 😀

We've been here a couple times. The food is pretty good. Last night I came craving a calzone. Googled the menu, saw calzones were on it. Read the reviews, people loved them. I order a calzone and the waiter tells me they don't serve calzones in the dining room, it's only on the take out menu. But when he told me it was in a rude, snarky, condescending manner. So I settled for pizza. I would love to hear the rationale of why pizza is OK in the dining room and not calzones. For our entire meal our waiter ignored us, but gave excellent attention to the large party at the table immediately next to us. Literally 2 feet away with his back to us, never turned around. We were done with our meals when he finally stopped by to ask if we were enjoying our meals. I have zero motivation to return here. There are enough other choices in the area that are just as good. 03/21/2020 Clarification and update: My review rating was based on the rude and inattentive service, not that I could not get a calzone in the dining room. When I dine out I expect the service to be as good as the food. On Thursday (03/19/2020) we ordered takeout...3 calzones. They were excellent. All of us enjoyed our meals. Good luck weathering the crazy circumstances that we find ourselves in, we'll continue to support our local restaurants to the best of our ability (and budget). I've bumped up my rating a bit.

It has already been said many times... They do a great job here! Chittenden county is full of fail pizza, rare on the good slice, and near impossible to get an authentic city slice. Enter Jrs. Perfect crust, I think this is the best in the immediate area for miles. Pasta dishes are also excellent, and portions are always large. I always order for 2 or more eatings! Further, they have great calamari that doesn't spring in your mouth like some baby boomer chain garbage. Only con is price. Its slightly high , especially if you want to take out. I understand the price premium for an in house experience, but do feel like a $1 cut across the whole menu would have them in demand and TOO busy.

Waitstaff is super nice. Pasta was cooked perfectly; both white clam sauce and pink pesto were excellent. Cannoli is fantastic with a filling that melts in your mouth and a shell with super crunch. Great place!!
