Three of us had a delicious breakfast here. Service was prompt and friendly. Love the decor... very clean! 💜 We ended up going back for dinner... It was phenomenal. Terrie our server was perfection, awealth of information and offered great menu suggestions as well as local offerings. We met Nick, the manager, and had a lovely talk with him about the restaurant and craft cocktails. Chef Steve's food is outstanding! The layering of flavors are a treat. Beautiful plate presentation! A true A+ Team.

Duke's Public House (pretty terrible name, not sure who "Duke" is...) is the restaurant/bar attached to the Delta Hotel in South Burlington, VT (Marriott bought the hotel in 2020 and gave it a "facelift" I guess.). The hotel is right off exit 14E in South Burlington and SUPER convenient to anywhere you might want/ need to go up here. The restaurant has an extremely limited menu (you can see it in the first pic). But all the things on it are very good. Not complex, just good, fresh, real, well executed food. You can also see my Gin and Tonic with Hendrick's in that first pic. A moment about gin and tonics: they seem simple. They are almost always executed very poorly. Either served in the wrong glass (a gin and tonic should be in a Tom Collins class, as shown here) or with flat tonic (UNDRINKABLE) or both. At Duke's they are using Fever Tree Tonic. The Best There Is. The End. Plus the correct glass. So my beverage is always delicious and has bubbles. Perfection. The restaurant has high top seating, but is mainly a huge, L shaped copper topped bar which is LOVELY. There are TVs and last night we had the NBA finals on one and "Moana" on the other. So. Much. WINNING!! The atmosphere, service, set up in Duke's is my ultimate "sports bar" experience. I want to sit at a nice, airy, open, clean, light filled bar (the entire front wall is windows) with good drinks, good service, good food and TVs. Despite the very small menu, there ARE vegan options. The Duke's Salad is Vegan. The Roasted Marinated Beet Salad can be made Vegan if you just request no Creme Fraiche. These salads are meant to be entrees and are appropriately huge. Other, non vegetarian/vegan items come with very good mashed potatoes or french fries or seasonal veggies and you can just get side orders. I like to call it "build your own vegetarian Tapas!" (I'm not sure if the french fries are vegan.) This Caesar Salad is maybe the best I've ever had in a restaurant. As I've mentioned before, I LOVE Caesar Salad, but it is pretty much always disappointing. Not here. This freaking salad is so huge I wasn't able to finish last night (I blame my near death Mother's Day weekend experience and getting over the last of the Baby Germ Death Cold). Excellent, crunchy Romaine lettuce cut into appropriately bite sized pieces. Just enough delicious dressing (i.e., not sopping with dressing). Shaved Parm. I am not a fan of croutons, but these are fine. Some day I'll actually think to request no croutons... You can add a protein to your salad. I always add salmon and they do a beautiful job with the salmon. It comes out perfectly crispy on both sides and piping hot. I don't actually even put it on my salad. Just eat it as a side. There is also a pan roasted salmon entree which I have ordered in the past and is similarly delicious, including the sides of mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies. Duke's is a perfect example of how you can do something in The Food Industry that is simple but also VERY WELL EXECUTED. You don't need to serve everything on earth. Do what you're doing really well and I will show up if I can also get a great gin and tonic and watch Giannis on one TV and Moana on the next! I really think there is room for a lot more restaurants like Duke's out there in the "greater world."

We got stranded in Burlington due to a flight delay but the good news is the hotel we were staying at had a cozy restaurant downstairs. They were extremely busy when we arrived and they were short-handed but the staff was absolutely incredible! Rosa our server had at least ten tables at one time and Nick the manager was amazing at supporting the server and bartender while staying very guest focused. We saw a level of teamwork we had not seen in a very long time in a restaurant. The food was spot on as well. Great job to this Team. Highly recommend!

Good brunch. A little busy when I dined in but good service. A little pricey for the portions but very delicious Eggs Benedict. Will have to try a club sandwich or meatloaf next time. Hope the Sunday breakfast buffet returns eventually.

We had the pleasure of meeting the Jim's (aka Jim²). Upon arrival, both Jim's were welcoming and friendly. Had a joyful banter of sports (go Nats!). Food was DELICIOUS! We ordered the Avocado Fritters (yumm) and had the steak and salmon as our entrees. All food was hot and fresh. Big compliments to the chef and crew! Definitely would return. This establishment made our trip worthwhile. Thank you Jim² and Chef!!!

First time here, wanted to have something on the lighter side. Ordered Salmon with some mash potatoes. The salmon was a bit over cooked but overall very good. Wanted to try the pumpkin cream brûlée but unfortunately they were out. So I had apple pie with some ice cream. It would of been a lot better if the pie was warmed up. Service was fast and the restaurant was clean and quite. Nothing wowed me.

I was stuck in Burlington for two days due to airline cancellations. I had an excellent meal at a very busy place. Only three staff to serve 50 people. Believe it or not they kept everybody happy. The guy in charge was almost running from table to table to provide excellent service. Even the hotel manager pitched in to clear tables bring out dishes and do whatever he could to keep things moving, very impressive.

Excellent service from entrance to exit and the food is flavorful. Loved the lamb and you can request for the salads to be a side sadjadpour instead of a shared appetizer.

I like this spot. Been here twice and had consistently quick service with surprisingly tasty hotel bar food. It's a quiet spot that we haven't had any trouble getting a table during the pandemic (unlike a lot of Burlington restaurants). The menu is small (I don't know if that's just temporary) and the atmosphere is nothing special but we've found it a quiet, reliable, tasty spot for dinners.

I am a Marriott Titanium Elite. I usually avoid hotel restaurants unless the meal is free as I usually find them more expensive than they should be and the food not up to par. We checked into the onsite hotel, the Delta, late in the day and the next morning we decided we didn't want to go anywhere for breakfast, so we went to Duke's. I have traveled a lot in my life and eaten at a lot of restaurants, but I can honestly say that this was the best breakfast I ever had. You might think there is not much difference from place to place in eggs, potatoes, bacon and sourdough toast, but I can tell you from experience that there is . This breakfast was perfect in all respects- eggs perfect, perfectly seasoned potatoes, crispy and flavorful bacon and perfectly toasted sourdough. And LOTS of food. Oh, and the service. Cooper was our server and he was efficient, friendly, and informative. The other server Ada, brought us our food and checked on us in addition to Cooper. What a bonus! We asked for tourist suggestions (we have done most of Burlington things in the past) and each of them independently said #! Ben and Jerry's tour and #2 Shelburne Museum. We spent more time touring that we expected that day but they were spot on! We also had a chance to talk to Nick, the manager on duty. It was quickly apparent why the servers were so friendly and informative, as Nick exudes those qualities himself. We are from Ohio and so our visits to Burlington are infrequent. We will be bak to Duke's, for sure. If you want a great meal at a reasonable price, it is Duke's in the Delta hotel!

Service was slow which was to be expected as there were only two people working. They did a great job given the challenge. Whom ever the bar tender was that evening deserves a raise! (Sat. 1/15/22) She ran bar and waited on tables. That was no easy task given the number of customers there were.

I went in today and ordered the Eggs Bene - it was so delicious also, Thanks to my awesome server “Shannon S.” She smiled lots and made me feel very welcomed, also she was very attentive and checked back regularly to make sure the food meet our needs. Much better than expected. I haven't been since it was renovated. Dinner was great and I was surprised that my drinks were outstanding! I'll definitely come back for another meal. Nice decor too. Pleasantly surprised.

Today was the second time we have chosen Duke's Public House for a family event. Both events were managed to perfection, 50th Wedding Anniversary and Funeral Reception today. The staff is willing and able think outside of the box and works with any request the customer has. Everything was taken care of and there was nothing that I needed to do. The food was delicious and the staff working our event was educated to the situation and even knew the name of my mother in law and our family members. I would give 10 stars if it was possible. A heart felt thank you from our family.

The updated Former Trader Dukes by Hilton now Dukes Public House by Marriott is much much much better than the former. This is a hotel restaurant so you have guests as well as locals that come enjoy the bar area or dining room. Moderate menu with various soups, sandwiches, meals, burger etc. Always good and friendly service.

This place has changed. Duke's Public House is a new restaurant that opened in October 2018. It now has a new contemporary décor with a fresh, airy vibe. The casual dining atmosphere is open daily with food service until 10:00pm. I had a delicious Autumn salad with grilled salmon and WOW!!! I definitely recommend giving it a try. The parking is free and no hassle fighting downtown traffic

Great Experience at Trader Dukes. The room is extremely nice and comfortable, looks like a 4 star hotel room! I left an item in the room and the friendly staff sent it to me the same day I reported it missing. Highly recommend!

I will say that on Saturday, 9/30/17, we attended a wedding offsite, upon returning to the hotel, we decided to go to the Trader Duke's Bar for a few cocktails. My wife and I were enjoying ourselves, and there was a group that was very rowdy, and being very rude to the bartender (I believe his name was Alex). He handled himself professionally and cut the drunk folks off, and was met with nothing but rude comments towards him. He even had to go as far as having the hotel security on stand-by because although they were cut off, they didn't leave. I had informed him as well as the front desk staff that in my opinion, he handled himself very well and hopefully wouldn't be in trouble for the way those guests acted. He constantly apologized to my wife and I for their and his behavior and we told him he had nothing to apologize for. Just a stand-up guy dealing with some drunks...

Great Sunday buffet. Staff is friendly. Even when it's busy the staff can always find a booth or table. Food is good quality and a great option for weekend family meals.

Didn't realize this was part of Delta Hotel. Came here for a breakfast meeting. Pancake was really good and portion was huge. Coffee was good, not unlike some of the Courtyard Marriot coffee.
