I’ve been going to the yellow bus since I was three years old and it is just as I remember it. I lived on Park street when I first moved to America. I used to play on the swings for hours then my grandfather would buy me a small ice cream. It became a daily treat. What I didn’t understand was that my grandfather saved His change throughout the week to save up for my ice creams. The staff nicknamed me “The Penny Kid,” by the end of the summer. Revisiting Beansie’s as an adult is nostalgic. The staff feels like a family with new faces. The burgers are classic American slider style while the French fries have a classically salty taste. The fries aren’t crispy but that brown soft fry that pairs perfectly with a few sprays of vinegar. Popsicles, canned soda, and hot dogs are all perfect additions to your day at Battery Park. Beansie’s has allowed us to enjoy days, evenings, and sunsets here for years.

They changed owners a few years ago but I still enjoy getting my hotdogs and fries here before battling the seagulls for my food and looking out over the lake. Highly recommend coming here for that mid day lunch with the family, friends, or just yourself!

This is what you want to order when you go to BEANSIES! You order the double cheeseburger with Michigan sauce with mustard and onions and get the large fry. It was a little over 20 something dollars for 2 doubles and fry’s and well worth it. We are not talking some little 6 ounce burger patty you would get at Al’s french fries ( they gone down hill) this is a real burger two patties with Michigan sauce flavor erupts and surprises you. You then look at the burger and how much I’d left. A well satiated lunch enjoyed. Can’t say enough about Brandie’s. Mother would send me to Benzies as a child and she would say: “get me A minute steak with ketchup and onions” That was her favorite. Bensies is an experience and historical landmark in battery park that needs to be enjoyed. Quality food costs money and inflation- yes we all have to pay a little more. You get what you pay for in the end and thank you Beansies for staying true and serving us throughout the decades!

Great food. Ordered the Michigan dog, a hamburger with Michigan sauce and fries. The fries were awesome and they give you a lot- 2 people could split a small. The Michigan sauce was very tasty and a little spicy which I really liked. They’re cash only so come prepared!

I just graduated from UVM and went for the first time yesterday, on the last day before they closed for the season. The lady serving me gave me free fries and a drink. She was incredibly kind and it really made my day, plus the food was excellent. I'm excited to go back in April!!

The fries are just the right crispy on the outside melt in your mouth inside, the Georgia was delicious, and so was the double cheese regular. And super cute park and view of the lake. Will for sure come again! *Cash Only* with an ATM on site.

Beanie’s has been around for a lot of years. Different owners take over from time to time. The food is good great fry’s take the family to the park and have some food play on the swings and playground look at the views walk to the fountain were you can make a wish.

I got served a cheeseburger on a donut by someone in a school bus. Need I say more?! This place is dope! My only suggestion is to add something with a crunchy texture to your burger (onion, pickles, etc) to compliment the softness of the donut... that’s just my preference though! Keep up the great work!

Everyone who works here and the owner are the SWEETEST DOWN TO EARTH people Iv ever meet! I'm from NY and I didn't have the cash and they said "just give it to us next time" my HEART! I cried because it was the sweetest thing ever the fact that they trust a complete stranger I'm paying what I owe tomorrow and interest of a tip for not having it and I appreciate the act of kindness we need MORE KIND HEARTED PPL LIKE BEANSIES BUS!!🥲❤🤗 to be compassion and trust in this world. This is an icon in Burlington, Vt. Its under new ownership. Good, greasy, fried food. Good portions, friendly, good prices & its at a park. Its usually busy during "feeding hours"! Ive been going here for years. Parking is very limited, but you can walk to it from downtown Burlington.

The "Vermont" is soft-serve served on a maple donut. It's unsubtle and delicious
