Food was good and friendly employees. Tuesday around opening time and they were busy. Downside was that the wait for the food to get ready was initially 25min, then it turned into 45min and mine took almost 1h! Perhaps they were understaffed, I’m not sure. But there were lines at the counter, a short line at what looked like a “drive through” and I could hear an employee taking orders over the phone. And if you’re not paying in CASH, the prices are different and there’s an additional 3% charge.

We loved it. Squeaky clean and great fresh food. The hot fog and the chicken sandwich were crisp and delicious. We took another mozzarella sticks since it was so good. Great double IPA beer too. Plenty of sitting I side and outdoor and great service.

Ordering is pretty easy online. Nice drive up window for take out, very convenient. Food always tastes good and their handmade chips are delicious. Service is generally nice and they have lots of seating.

Great spot for simple grilled American food. Ice cream next door. Perfect for a milkshake and fries. Or an easy spot to keep a picky kid happy. Chicken sandwich was good. Haven't tried their burgers yet but I see no reason it wouldn't be good. Not a table service place and didn't need to be. Just order, grab your basket, find a table, and enjoy.

Whenever I am really hungry this place comes to mind. The bleu cheese burger with onion rings is my favorite thing on the menu but they do it all well. House made chips or fries a must. Great fountain drink options and craft beer. The beer is too pricey but everything else is fairly priced and consistently delicious. And ice cream shop right next door.

Simple, fresh, locally sourced food. They are known for their burgers, but they also have an assortment of other sandwiches such as fried chicken, pulled pork, roast beef, and even fried fish. The french fries are always perfectly golden and crispy, and I love how all the sandwiches come with a small (but always super fresh) side salad. They also have a rewards program which is great if you visit frequently.

Good, delicious food that will take longer than you expect. I've eaten at Archie's probably a half dozen times. Each time, the food has been enjoyable with lovely flavors. It has ALWAYS taken longer than the time we were quoted when ordering and sometimes taking more than double. Definitely worth going, but only if you are ready for a leisurely pace

Archie's Grill is an excellent choice for several reasons. If you're not in the mood for pricey food in downtown Burlington and looking for a good and hearty meal, it can't be beat. As its name indicates, Archie's main focus is grilled meat. Dishes come with the restaurant's signature chips or a salad. For dessert, you can just cross the dining room to the ice cream parlor right next door.

Seems like it could be a good place. We went there with my daughter and her boyfriend, they love the place and have been telling us about it for awhile. The burgers all came out very well done when we all asked for medium and that was after an extended wait and the place was empty.

Archie’s is a local staple. They have great locally sourced food and prepare it well…most of the time. The challenge is that it’s inconsistent especially in the last few years which we understand. We’ve had completely undercooked chicken and burgers that weren’t prepared to order. Sometimes items are just forgotten completely. Recently we went in on a Thursday for dinner and half the chairs in the restaurant were flipped in the table like they were closing (it was 6, they close at 8). There was a trash bag intentionally left folded lengthwise to block the trash/compost/recycling and we were told to throw all our food, plastic, and trash into a single bin by the longest running employee we’ve known there. We remain patrons but opportunities to improve exist.

Very noisy. BUT everything else was perfect!! Including the service from the cashier and the cooks. They had a huge selection of vegetarian sandwiches AND gluten free bread to boot!! Even the side salads were awesome. And the homade maple balsamic dressing! We had the portabella and the falafel sandwiches. We both were oohing and ahing the whole time. I said I felt like I hadn't eaten before, this food was so awesome! I don't live here but my friend who does, in St Albans, said he'll definitely be back there!!!

Delicious burgers and sandwiches! Archie's is conveniently neighbors with The Scoop (ice cream shop) which is a great follow-up desert choice. Both are located on a lovely courtyard green with plenty of seating options. Great spot to eat for all ages.

This is a 21st century burger place with a first rate attached ice-cream place next store. The food was well prepared and there is variety as well as GF and vegetarian options and beer on tap. Clean and friendly. I wish there was a branch near my home in Massachusetts.

Stopped at Archie's after a morning at the farms and from its unassuming decor and exterior we were pleased with the extremely high quality and tasty food! Great vegetarian selection while keeping toddler and mear eaters happy too. Highly recommended 👌

A classic burger joint that prepares real (delicious) food. Great burgers made with local beef, but still affordable. Our last meal was a veggie burger (made in-house, not frozen) and fish and chips, both with fries and a strawberry shake for $23. Which is to say, about the going rate - though higher than average quality I think. It's right next door to a (possibly co-owned?) ice cream shop so the shakes are fantastic : )

Love their milk shakes and ice cream. Am put off by the on line ordering . It takes the spontaneity out of stopping to eat something. Sometimes the wait is 45 minutes because on line orders come first. Please , my life is on line orders...not FAST FOOD!

Best place for a burger in the area. I have been here on multiple occasions and have consistently gotten great food and service. They make their own fries and chips, have many other menu options, and provide a quick and satisfying stop for lunch or dinner. I definitely recommend Archie's Grill.

Food is high quality and consistent. Fries are "Al's French Fry" style but definitely fresher tasting. Great burgers, lots of veggie options, and right next door to the second best ice cream in VT (sorry I'm a B&J loyalist). Some of the staff have been there a long time, which hopefully is a good sign. The drive through pick-up from back when the place was a bank in the 90's is brilliant for take out.

My brothers burger was really good. Fries great. My chicken sandwich was fresh but not much flavor even with mayo, lettuce and tomato. That's how I knew it was good for me. Prices a little high but quality excellent.

Archie's Grill is a favorite for my family. Their food is great, and their ice cream from the Scoop Shop is so delicious! My favorite flavor of ice cream is blueberry cheesecake. My favorite burger is the Shroom Burger, and it's vegetarian. Their sweet potato fries are so delicious. The staff here is friendly, and even thought it's really busy, they work through their orders fairly quickly. So, even if you see a really long line, it shouldn't be that long of a wait.

Friendly staff, super clean restaurant and staff run around cleaning constantly. The 4 star rating is solely based on 2 factors. 1. Being they need some side items. (Kid wanted chicken tenders and grilled cheese) wanted to order chicken tenders as a side (they would Have made more money that way) and they don’t do that so had to order 2 kids meal for 1 kid. Solely for a grilled cheese. 2. Being sorting compostables from trash etc. I know it’s more of a culture thing but all in all 4 stars is not a bad rating.

Really popular with the locals -- often it's 45 minutes to 1 hour after ordering in the evenings. Good basic pub/grill food. Small outside seating area - weather permitting. Good after work family gathering meetup place. I open up a tab and family members can order at the counter as they come in. Affiliated scoop shop next door. Solid and reliable.

Meh. Place is very clean. Food, specifically burgers, just average. Buns are way oversized for an average sized patty. They have a free fries promotion at UVM hockey games if they score a goal in the last minute. I went there mid-week after this happened on the weekend and the cashier acted like he knew nothing about it. Then he said I needed my ticket to the game to get the free fries, which only cost $1 based on their pricing. After some give and take, he relented, but when my order came, there were 2 orders of fries and a $1 charge to my bill. Just seems like a weirdly run place. Not impressed.

First time in Vermont and this place is the die for. Absolutely amazing food! I had eaten more than I ever have here and my boyfriend can testify that! Such an awesome environment, very clean, and delicious cooked food. The burgers we tried were great and the wings were phenomenal! Definitely will be back to come eat here!

Six different veggie burgers‽ Yay. And they label which ones are vegan. I appreciate that they source some ingredients locally. There's even a giant map of Vermont specifying where. Bean bag toss (technically from The Scoop) in the yard. Cute patio area for outside dining. Like they say on their website, don't expect this to be fast food. But there's a sign near the register that gives an estimated wait time (25min for us).

I was really looking forward to trying this place. The menu is awesome. That's where the awesomeness ended. The almost $20 burger, fries, and a beer took at least 20 minutes. The sign said cooked medium, but mine was well done and shrunken. The lettuce and tomato on top looked very fresh. The staff was very friendly, but did seem to know their rolls very well. I asked for a beer and it took them a while just to fine a glass. Then the pint wasn't even filled as the tap was foaming. The other two people with me had burgers that looked much better. The fries were pretty good. I am hoping that my experience was a fluke on a busy afternoon with new staff and renovations happening. I will try it again and hope it matches the hype.

Such a great menu selection. I’ve loved everything I’ve tried and the chips are so good! I don’t know if this is normal but when i ordered a burger last time I got a pretty small patty with a very large bun. It was fine I was just wondering if that was something that could be changed. Such a nice outdoor seating area too!

The flavors are amazing. Great local ingredients. They gave a Vermont burger with Maple and bacon that's delicious. The burgers are a little small. I can't have the bread or the chips/fries sides, so I usually leave hungry. But it's delicious. My husband likes their horseradish burger. The kids love the mac and cheese and the soups. If you can have Ice cream, the attached shop offers fun options.

Delicious! Hard to pick just one thing off the menu. Loved the sweet potato fries 😍 they were really crispy on the outside and obviously hand cut. Fish sandwich was super light and delicious. I loved that the bun wasn't completely white but I think maybe it is better suited to a hardier burger, I couldn't quite finish the whole bun - but my husband inhaled his Vermont Bacon Cheeseburger faster than I've seen him eat anything in weeks!

Hot dogs are pretty good, big fat beef dogs. Their onion rings are out of sight and you must get them if you go. Their homemade chips are also excellent. And they had Heady Topper in stock, along with a selection of beers and cider. Easy to find, right on RT 7. Recommended.

You can tell when a restaurant fills its staff with folks that have a passion for food, and these guys hit the nail right on the head... YOU MUST TRY THE BROCCOLI CHEDDAR SOUP!!! Good place for a sandwich. Service was excellent, and the food very good. The staff was highly attentive to our needs, and they have a good selection of foods. My "negatives" are small-- the restaurant was VERY warm, but considering that it was July, we recognized that probably their air conditioner may have been struggling to keep up. The fries were ok-- not bad but not great either. But my wings were very good, and my wife reported her sandwich was also quite good. Would we come back? Sure.

This spot has charm and good food, with beer and wine available. We enjoyed their burgers and fries, and I savored my potato chips. All hand cut on the premises. You order at the counter from their fun staff ...then pick it up when it's ready, so that it's always hot and fresh. Many choices of sandwiches and burgers. Be sure to check out the ice cream shop literally next door for a sweet treat. Prices are modest, my burger and chips was $7.99 and they go up from there, most under $10.00

This is my favorite Vermont burger joint! It’s gourmet, and it’s clean, friendly and owned by a local family. The service is quick, the food is totally yummy, and I’m always happy to go next door to their scoop shop to top my meal off with their homemade ice cream. If burgers aren’t hitting your spot, you can get some seafood, chicken or even soup. They serve local soda, local craft beer, and make their own chips. You can even get a gluten free bun or ice cream cone! You won’t go home hungry!

Archie’s is the BEST! I love everything here, but I’m writing this review to highlight one particular menu item: their Caesar Salad (with added chicken). I don’t know what they do, but despite appearing like a very normal salad, it’s one of my favorite caesar salads I’ve ever had. Tasty dressing, great croutons, crisp delicious lettuce, and their grilled chicken is to die for (again, no idea what they do with it, but it’s sooo good).

When you get the chance, you have to stop at Archie's Grill; it has amazing food with a variety of options; I have never had anything that was not delicious. Because of that - I never hesitate to try something new with each stop. and - while I recommend trying any of their food - I HIGHLY recommend the sweet potato burger and trying the maple zinfandel dressing (I believe that's what it's called); you won't regret it ... In addition to the amazing food, I also love that they work with a. local farm to get their organic vegetables and that they are connected to an ice cream parlor by a walk-through door!

Every town should have a place like Archie's. Friendly service, clear wait times and fresh air, delicious burgers plus. Beer selection has something for everyone, wine selection is limited. Maybe it's just me, but one of my favorite things is that I've never had anything but super fresh lettuce and tomato on the burgers. I can't stand a slimy tomato

Good bun, chicken was a little thin, the chips are coated in parmesan cheese I think? I tried the fries, perfectly fine, hand cut and deep fried to a brown. Caesar dressing was pretty good, as were the croutons. I actually didn't try the burgers but they looked really good.

Great local burgers. Best buns in town!! Would like to see the burger patty increase in size to fit the bun. Never the less, the food is great. Not a big fan of the fries chips either. Sweet potato or regular fries are awesome. Want a good local burger... Give Archie's a try!!

I like that they have a drive thru and online ordering. The food taste better than the usual fastfood. Customer service was basic. No hello or thank you. But could be worse for sure. The dipping sauce is 1.50 And it was half full. That kind of rip off bothers me but still going back. Just going to bring my own damn ranch!

Everything is $8 and up except soup chowder etc. and I thought was slightly overpriced but the atmosphere, customer service, food presentation amazing and changed my mind when I received my meal. I have eaten in hundreds of restaurants around the world and in US. Looks like nothing outside but inside is incredibly cozy inside. Service is fantastic. Food as well. Found this place by mistake looking for a pizza place. Amazing find.

Good fresh food! Local beef, fresh had cut fries and a great shake. Takes a little longer then Micky D's so if that's what your looking for don't stop here. The food is prepared fresh to order. I'll stop again next time I'm in town.

What do you want from a burger joint? How about a well cooked tasty burger that comes in a variety of settings with great fries and onion rings served in a basket like at the drive-in. And those chips. Very special! And Archie's serves it all up in a matter of minutes. Burgers are cooked slightly medium rare but they can be cooked to order if it's not too busy. Craft beer is on tap. A variety of other dishes from Mexican favorites to pulled pork are also on the menu. And Archie's lives right next to an awesome ice cream parlor. The reggae music in the background is non-stop. This place is a family friendly as it gets. We love it!

Far superior to Al's but same concept. Order at the counter and bring to the table. Fries and burgers are solid. Daily special is usually a great choice. Nice selection of draft beers and self-serve soda. Ice cream parlor is attached and worth the stop.

I am always impressed by Archie's and have been many many times. They have excellent attention to detail and is a truly fresh place to eat that is supportive of its community. Archie's has a very wide menu and most items can be customized to taste. In the five years I have gone to Archie's I have never had a bad meal..

Super quick lunch stop here while I was in Vermont. Nice and simple atmosphere, good food, and quick service made it an all around enjoyable meal. I'm a sucker for anything with mushrooms so I got the chipotle chicken sandwich. It was a good size and it was packed with flavor. It's a pretty cool concept in that it's almost like a fast food joint, but with higher quality fresh food. I believe they even have a drive-thru. All in all my parents and I were happy with our meals.

Archie's does a great job with burgers that's for sure. 👍 It had been a while since I had eaten here (pre covid). Staff were very friendly and attentive and called you by your first name. They made you feel important and special...a nice touch for a burger joint.. My buddy and I both ordered the double Archie. I got American Cheese on mine and he got the standard bleu cheese. Both burgers arrived hot, fresh and juicy and were very flavorful. They use La Platt Farms Angus beef. Great burgers fair price, friendly staff, quick turn around. Winning combination. I call them a working man's burger because they don't skimp on the meat! Well done Archie's. Highly recommend trying them out.

Local food is a great idea. I ordered the Archie's favourite. Too much horseraddish!! I like horseradish but the amount on my sandwich made it almost unbearable. Chips were meh but I normally dont like homemade chips. 4 stars is generous based on my experience because I have a feeling horseradish on the side would have made the meal much better. I would absolutely try the fries next time even tho they charge extra to sub one potato for another.

A fresh, delicious, well prepared, but tiny burger. Spent $10 on a burger and side salad but was still hungry. The 5oz (advertised) patty doesn't cut it. It honestly looked more like 3 or 4oz. A solid 8oz patty, which I consider the expected burger size, would have bumped it up to 4 stars. I think when you order from a counter and are served food in a basket, ten bucks for lunch should fill you up. I'm 5'8 and 165lbs, not some huge guy to feed. On a side note, the VT burger with maple syrup had little to no maple flavor. I really wanted to give this place 4 or 5 stars but like I said, I left hungry.

I frequent ahdarji's Grill after nearly every fishing Excursion we took down on Bay Road. Archie's is one of my favorite burger and fries locations as they offer an immense menu of Burger choices. I myself enjoy their chicken sandwiches which have nearly as many options as the burgers. Also their wings and their accompaniments are exceptional. After dining you can go next door to the scoop which I believe is owned by the same owners and enjoy some of the best hard ice cream that Vermont has to offer. My favorite being the chocolate peanut butter. I will miss going to Archie's very much as we have moved out of the area but I intend to return if we come back to Vermont for a visit.

Wherever I travel in I always seek out local sources for Vegan Ice Cream. Now, thanks to the crew at the Scoop and Archie's, it is right in my neighborhood. Their coconut ice cream choices are the BEST I'VE HAD ANYPLACE. The flavors are delightful and balanced. Their ingredients are fresh and of high quality - from first lick to last you can tell they care about what they make. My only problem is choosing which flavor - so invariably I just get a single serving size pint! The staff is ALWAYS first rate both in the Scoop and the Archies' crew (thanks Chris and crew!) has been treating my family well for years. Thanks for serving up wonderful choices...Vegans from all over should stop by the Scoop or Archie's - they are in for a treat!

I went here for the first time the other night and was pleasantly surprised at the place. The decor was inviting and their staff was welcoming. They sure give you plenty of food for the price and I love that it's eco-friendly with their containers, cups, etc. The food was delicious as well.
