Reviews of Row 34
Victor Wang
Absolutely delicious restaurant close to the downtown offices of the seaport district. Had a great experience after coming back twice in the same week and was impressed every time.
First time had the uni caviar and the buttered lobster roll. Both absolutely delicious and very refreshing.
Second time had 3 people and we shared the seafood platter as an appetizer. The grilled mussels are such a fantastic value, fresh, and delicious. Finally the dessert cookie and apple pie was great as well.

Excellent seafood place. Oysters range about $3.5-4, which is not bad given Boston price. They were fresh and yummy. All food including calamari lobster rolls and lobster pasta were great. But it has some sort of bar vibe (a bit noisy). So if u prefer quiet fine dining, it may not be a good fit for you. The service was good too.
Shawn Varughese
My friends and I came here for lunch on a Friday. Row 34 is a popular spot but was a bit hard to find if you are walking. We were seated in the back in the seats with cushions.
Service
Our waiter seemed a bit disgruntled and weren't sure why.
Drinks
The drinks were a hit. I enjoyed the lights out so much
Lunch
Cornbread is huge
Biscuit is smaller but also tastes delicious
Tacos are small
The burger is a solid option.
Oyster - the first oyster on the list was the best. They were cleaned well
Price was mediocre around $20-30 per person.
I would recommend trying this place out.

Excellent location and seafood! Kind of industrial warehouse look with high ceiling. b Large windows and not at least a lovely staff makes it to a 'sunny' place. Good wines and beers are being served. Cooked, raw or as ceviche... it's focused and fresh.

Row 34 is a popular spot, so were lucky to get some seats at the bar on a Saturday night without reservations. The staff were super knowledgeable about everything on the menu, they really know their oysters, and answered all our questions. They were also able to recommend some decent beers to pair with our meal. The Tuna Crudo was incredible, a perfect blend of flavors. Lobster rolls are super generous and delicious. We ended up staying for a while and had a nice time chatting with other customers at the bar, overall a really great experience.
Erin Collard
Food was delicious, service was good. Moderately priced. They have a nice selection of local draft beer. Some of the best seafood we've ever had. They validate parking at one of the surrounding garages for a discounted rate.
Benjamin Leff
Absolutely incredible! I love oysters but unfortunately have to rely on Gulf Coast oysters. The freshwater and ocean taste of all these different oysters opened my eyes to a world of new oyster beds and locations. I HIGHLY recommend Row 34, especially considering they rotate their oyster menu out daily.

Your tastebuds will not regret devouring a bite here! Row 34 is the type of place that makes you want to be gluttonous and eat all the things on their menu! A local friend recommended we make Row 34 an absolute must stop to eat. It is the type of food that makes you want to eat there three times a day! We ordered the lobster roll with butter and I soon regretted splitting it! I wanted the entire lobster roll. We also ordered the tomato salad with buffalo mozzarella, grilled cheese, and a chicken sandwich. The array of our sides for the group varied from homemade chips, fries and slaw. All of the items were mouth explosion worthy. All of the staff is awesome and personable. Do NOT skip over Row 34 and you MUST order the Lobster roll with butter.

Absolutely fresh seafood! The seafood tower is amazing and definitely worth it. The staff are friendly and the ambiance is modern and relaxed. Definitely 10/10 would recommend to go with the family or a significant other for the delicious fresh seafood!

AWESOME!! We went here for dinner and we’re a little early, they sat us right away outside and turned the heaters off when we asked.
Our server was excellent and very knowledgeable about the menu. Absolutely love the farm to table aspect here and she also mentioned the menu changes everyday but there are a few items that always stay on.
We ordered clam chowder to start. I don’t even like clams and this was amazing! For dinner, I had the scallops and my husband had the lobster roll. We’re from Florida and we love our seafood and this place is the real deal!
Best scallops I’ve ever had! He loved his sandwich but wasn’t crazy about the shoestring fries. They tasted like McDonald’s fries. Next time he would get the house made potato chips! Don’t have many photos because we ate our food so fast!!
Melissa Neufeld
Very busy but delicious! Make a reservation because it's worth it! The baked oyster appetizer was so delicious, I could have eaten so many more! The grilled whole bronzino was amazing. Their menu is digital and changes often

Lobster sandwich was thee best I've had. Place was packed on a Thursday evening. Nice cocktails. Great oysters! Good service. Recommend.

Probably one of the best seafood restaurants in Boston located just a stroll away from Boston Tea Party . The oysters were so fresh , lobster roll was stuffed with generous amount of lobster meat. And our host was outstanding! My daughter has a shellfish allergy and our host was extremely attentive and accommodating towards her dietary needs, even going out of her way to go back and forth from the kitchen to our table to check with the chef exactly what on the menu was safe for her to eat and even circling and crossing out items on my daughter's menu as well. It was even possible for some dishes to be cooked differently in order to prevent cross contamination.

Lobster pasta and roll were both really good! The pasta was prolly a bit better. The cracker that came with clam chowder was very good too. The chowder was just so-so. I was glad that we sat outside, the inside is cute but way too loud to have conversations without straining your voice.

I wish I could do half stars. This place is a solid 4.5, but since i can't give partial stars, I'm good with rounding up. Food was really good. The cornbread with maple butter is killer. Two of us polished the pan off in addition to our entrees. Possibly a tactical error. But it was so good. I had the fish tacos and hubbie had the fish and chips. All really good. Calamari was delicious. Breading not too heavy, which was helpful. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Not our first time here. Certainly won't be our last.
Alan
The raw bar features a good selection of local oysters, with variance in flavor and size. The oysters are fresh. The clam chowder comes with perfect consistency, a good balance of textures, and a wonderfully light creamy flavor. It's just missing clams. The steamed mussels are very enjoyable with a buttery oniony sauce, textbook perfect. The lobster roll has a cloud-like sweet and buttery brioche roll that contrasts some satisfyingly chewy Q-texture lobster. It's immensely satisfying with the butter sauce, and definitely one of the best lobster rolls I've had. The chips are fresh and not oily, but airy. The squid ink bucatini has a lovely gala of side pieces - exceptionally flavorful and sweet tomatoes, chewy clams, broccolini, andouille sausage with a spicy kick, and and bread crumbs. It's an exciting seafood pasta, just the pasta itself is past al dente.
Chad Fiedler
Definitely a place worth trying if you are a fan of seafood. They have a full raw bar with clams, oysters and ceviche. This place is certainly not cheap. Interestingly the lobster roll on the lunch menu is $49 but $45 on the dinner menu. Not sure if there's a difference at all. Worth trying if you like seafood and it's a special occasion.

Came here after a conference in the seaport with my buddy Eugene. In terms of apps, we split both the clam clowder and the beet salad. I then opted for the lobster roe noodles. We were STUFFED afterwards- had originally planned to get dessert but ultimately had to pass. All of the dishes (the beet salad in particular) were first-rate. Our waiter was also great! Took some great pictures for us and was very understanding when we requested to split the bill itemized.

Incredibly popular seafood restaurant on Congress St, we were seated at a high top, 30 minutes after our reservation for Row34.
The place is a huge, hopping upscale but casual with an excellent raw bar selection. There were 12 oyster selections. Our server was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. I was not familiar with the oysters beyond not wanting them briny and her recommendations were spot on.
They had the typical seafood bar menu - fish and chips, fried oysters, ceviche and an extensive beer and wine selection. They ran out of rolls and she recommended the rosemary with honey butter biscuits which were quite yummy!
She also took our picture as we were celebrating our anniversary and she treated us to an after-dinner drink.
Would definitely recommend!
Tracy Chedraoui
We took cake crab 1st pic hell yeah :)
Ceviche with aji amarillo 2th pic yup love it recommand it 😀
Warm buttered lobster 3th pic so so the lobster was chewy.
Enjoy the overall service
Brent Watkins
Spectacular raw bar and beer list offerings. They are doing it good and proper! Stick to Starters and Raw Bar for food selections. Busy spot, yet very friendly staff. Special thanks to the bar staff for sharing their intimate knowledge of their menu.

I was in Boston for four nights in July. I chose to eat five meals (two dinners, three lunches) at Row34: a perfectly curated wine and beer selection; friendly staff; excellent service; and, of course, fantastic food. You cannot go wrong with any food selection but make sure to try the buttered lobster roll, the black ink bucatini and the clam chowder.
Mike Kohler
Really nice and clean place. Outstanding lobster rolls. The front of the building was under construction as of recently. Outside covered seating is available.
Craig Pressley
I know that ratings on Google Map generally are often too high, but in this case Row 34 is a ligit 5 solid stars. The service was exceptional, every recommendation was totally on point. We started our meal with coctails, both unique and flavorful. Shortly after came oysters - broad selection. Our server inquired our flavor profile and the oyster they helped us select were perfectly fitting. We had the tuna crudo following the oysters; the tuna crudo was maybe the best bites that have ever. The tuna crudo is a must get. For dinner I had the lobster broth bouillabase. The bouillabase has now become the flavorful mistress with whom my mouth shall have memories of longing that will overshadow every meal I will have.... For the rest of my life. I know that sounds insane - and it absolutely absurd to say about a meal but it was unbelievably good and I cannot wait to return for more!
Justin
This place is amazing! Food is spectacular and the drinks list is top shelf. Oysters and Lobster Rolls were so delicious...have never had anything like it. They offer up a variety of local craft beers on tap which adds to the experience. Staff and knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend this place to all...but make sure you book if you want to guarantee a seat!
Howard Chow
Service was lackluster and the food was ok. The seafood tower was very good. Entrees were just alright. At our table the best dish was probably the fish and chips which was a huge generous piece of fish, flaky, and tasty. The fish tacos were alright, but only 2 pieces.
Claire Wang
Great place for raw oyster bar and seafood!! Lobster roll was a bit pricey compared to rolls of the same quality at other places. Fish and chips and cocktails are great!!!
Jeff Tinker
Good Atmosphere.
Old fashion was a let down. Rolls and chowder were great. Fried oysters had a good flavor, but weren’t phenomenal. Lobster rolls were 100% overpriced.
Juan Forero
Shellfish tower: oysters were too salty. Shrimps we’re good flavor but a bit hard (overcooked?).
Ceviche tacos were good. The other ceviche (on a shell) had pineapple pieces that didn’t quite worked… the plantain and cassava chips weren’t as crispy as expected…
white wine list was ok.
Service was average. It was pretty busy but not providing ice bucket for white wine or cleaning the table after all the water dripping from the tower was kind of …
Rae
We had Kayla, an amazing waitress! The food was yummy and the outdoor seating area is superb. Great restaurant that I hope you enjoy too! You can also get a parking discount if you take your ticket to the desk.
Amy Peterson
We had called for a reservation and they told us they don't take them. Then when we got there they said we had to wait awhile because others had reservations. We ended up sitting at the bar which wasn't as great. The food was amazing though.
Yugina Yun
The freshest raw bar in Boston! The tastes are all impeccable.
Unfortunately service is terribly slow and despite a reservation we had to wait 20 minutes to be seated, and another 20 to have our order taken.
Laura Ewing
I had the most delicious warm lobster roll ever…but quite pricey. Around 50 dollars!
Got to say really tasty though!
EmRS C
Great food!! Every dish was delicious. Really friendly staff. Would definitely go back.
Micah Ragan
Not bad at all. The lobster rolls were very good, maybe a little to messy. The oyster selection is fantastic. The calamari was not bad either.
Amanda Liaw
Get. The. Tuna. Crudo! It is excellent. We also got the warm buttered lobster rolls. While excellent as well, those were very expensive. We asked for taro chips specifically and they were great. Our server was super awesome and also the only person we've met so far who knows what nightshades are!
Marco Ugolotti
Great food …. Average service….. shared appetizers are extremely good as well as the oysters.
Update Jan 2023…. Still great food especially the appetizers… but cost went up…. Definitely not cheap!!

Row 34 is our favorite restaurant in Fort Point. Over the last 3 years we have dined there many, many, many times...30+. As new comers to New England we discovered the unique combination of prime quality east cost oysters and crudos, and a unique offering of craft beers from around the US and Europe. The quality, variety and consistency of the oysters is unparalleled. Ceviches and crudos are creatively presented and very tasty. Tacos and fries make you happy. if you want an easy escape with your loved one or friends, this is the place. My hat is off to Jeremy Sewall and his crew. And...if you happen to love reading cookbooks, then 'The Row 34 Cookbook" is one to have to enjoy the reading history of the restaurant, how oysters came back to the Cape, how seafood harvesting can remain sustainable, and just how New England tradition can be preserved.

Good food, and very fresh seafood. The ambience is good and the seafood is good also. More reviews in Instagram @pa.babear

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Boston and I make it a point to come here whenever I'm in town. No frills yet high end fresh seafood. The lobster roll, oysters and whitefish dip/pate are the absolute best. I'd recommend making a reservation which you can easily do online.
Henry Brandmark
After lasts weeks quote of the ‘best oysters’ my girlfriend has ever had row 34 took the crown back. Everything here was delicious! Great music and vibes!
S PJ
Nice place
Not sure why it took them so long to bring us to the table
We had a reservation, there were free tables and still they made us wait
Food and wine were good
Might come back

The crab cakes, salmon, and fingerling potatoes were all very good, although the portions were a little on the small side. Great drinks and fantastic service with a cozy vibe.
Tyler Clark
Lively restaurant and raw bar. Very cool atmosphere and setup. The bartenders were very helpful and friendly.
Wonderful shellfish at a great and accessible price.
F Y
We enjoyed our dining experience in this restaurant. Highly recommend the shellfish tower if you like oysters, shrimp and civeche. Everyone was very friendly and professional
brian dostal
Best lobster roll in town.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Amazing selection of beer.
It was pricey but it was worth it.
Jennie Montano
Sat at the bar for a late dinner on a Sunday night. Staff was very responsive and helpful with the menu. They reserve seating there so even if there were bar patrons, they asked them to move for diners. Despite being surrounded by people enjoying the bar, did not feel squeezed in by a party crowd.
Crab cake had a nice bit of spice and you could appreciate the crab with a nice crispness to the exterior. Clam chowder was delicious, right balance to clam, potato and bacon with a broth that was a good balance of cream and broth. Was going to get dessert but was enjoying the cornbread with maple butter so much just asked for a coffee to finish it off.
Brian Buck
Went in for dinner with my coworkers. One of them had a birthday so we were having a celebration dinner with her. I had the Clam Chowder and the Chicken Parmigiana. Out of towner here and wanted to try authentic “Clam Chowda”. It did not disappoint. Delicious and not at all fishy.
The Chicken Parm was really good. The homemade noodles made the dish even better. The sauce had a bit of kick to it.
Great dinner with colleagues. They chocolate cake out to our birthday girl and a cheesecake dish for the table to share. Great experience. Much better than going to a chain restaurant.
Aaron Daniels
If you visited when they first opened, I would suggest going back to give them another go. They have really upped their game. The selection of oysters is excellent. Staff are friendly and able to accommodate special dietary requests. We also had the crabcake and it was nicely done and presented with a lovely range of flavors. This part of the Seaport only gets more interesting and funky, and Row 34 is a lovely addition.
Robert Burton
Absolutely loved this place. Enthusiastic, knowledgeable team who love their jobs and do them brilliantly. Amazing raw bar - so good I never ordered anything cooked but the cooked food looked great....I did order a green salad though which was sublime. And the wine and beer are amazing. No complaints, highly recommend
Paula Romen
It was delicious and the service was really good! I recommend this place. I regret I didn't have the lobster roll. It looked amazing!
Tennis Guru
No restaurant has gotten a 5 star from me, so 4 star is very good. This is not a Michelin star restaurant, not that fancy, but food is very tasty, and cheap compared with that for a Michelin star place. The Shrimp Pasta here is the best pasta I have ever had :-)
Jessica Benton
Trying to find a table for 3 on a Wednesday night at 7 was nearly impossible. My colleagues and I lucked out and were able to get 3 seats at the bar which had a full menu.
The service was laughable as no one seemed to want to help us and we waited an hour for food (!!) which got us hangry.
The food was worth the wait. Beer, Clam chowder, oysters, lobster roll, lobster fettuccine - all delicious.
But the real star was the biscuit. I initially ordered the fresh bread, but as they were out the bartender suggested the buttermilk biscuit.
Wow.
So good.
5 starts just for that.
Jiahao Zhang
We've been there several times and the oysters and shellfish are among the freshest, for now. The taste of the other dishes has held up very consistently. They're busy but if you book in advance you'll have no problem, well worth a try!
Bianca Perez
The food was spectacular. The clam chowder was divine and the homemade saltine was perfect. My friend and I split the lobster rolls and warm buttered roll was the favorite. The restaurant is a little on the pricier side but definitely worth it! I could taste the difference from the more affordable spots.
Marcelo Williams
I didn't make a reservation at Row 34 as I had just come across the website when searching for "Boston's best lobster roll." The restaurant was packed when I got there. There was a special event being held and several folks visiting for a conference were taking up most of the space at the restaurant. I had a seat at the bar. The bartenders were the best. There was one person in particular who recommended a beer, what type of oyster to try, and explained everything about how to eat an oyster to me, a first-timer!
Guillaume Pelletier
Probably our best restaurant in Boston. Sea food and fish is always fresh and tasty. The boards are amazing. The Kids menu is appreciated. The staff is always kind and professionnal. The beer menu is one hell of a menu, around 30 draft beers from the best breweries around America. We'll definitely be back, many times.
Stephanie M
Best lobster roll I had on my short trip to Boston. Our server was super helpful with the menu. Would recommend
Diana Smith
Great spot to hang out and eat oysters. The selection is very good. Crudités and ceviche selection looks great. I didn’t try any but wanted to! I have the mussels and fries. I would have liked a bit more broth and the bread was 4 slices of bread - nothing special.
Chris Brewer
Great location, awesome service, and the best boullabaise I've ever had. Seriously good food!
Ali Fakhraei
Very chill place with good verity. Their lobster rolls were amazing and their oyster choices were great.
Steve Mortiboy
The lobster rolls were very very good!! I’d definitely eat here again when I’m next in Boston.
Milkzo Dinho
Absolutely loved this place. Enthusiastic, knowledgeable team who love their jobs and do them brilliantly. Amazing raw bar - so good I never ordered anything cooked but the cooked food looked great....I did order a green salad though which was sublime. And the wine and beer are amazing. No complaints, highly recommend
Mike “4MOTION” J
Was recommended to give this place a try. Never would have thought to find this place on some side street in Boston. Not that I come to Boston often.
All I can say is wow. Started off with a tasting of oysters and raw clams followed by calamari and a lobster roll buttered. Freaking amazing. The waiter even recommended beer and wine paring with the food.
The oysters selection was such a great tasting. The calamari just melted in your mouth and the lobster roll was like a desert and just melted in your mouth.
See the pictures and give it a try and reply to my review if you have anything negative to say. I'd be amazed.
Just don't forget to make reservations.
TRY IT OUT!!!!
Hanan P
I came here twice in the course of 3 days. Both time our server was Saul. This restaurant is phenomenal. It is the best restaurant in Boston. Everything from the oysters, to the crudos, to all the dishes, dessert, cocktails, and especially the service.
Summary: Saul is an outstanding server, rest of the staff is also phenomenal and the food is incredible.
Michael Bothwell
Great service! We went with a toddler and the staff was so helpful and friendly.
Any place with good seafood and a solid draft beer selection would already be high in my book. The service really put them a notch above.
Marumover
So impressed with the crudo options in this place! The oysters are fresh and the crudo dishes are unique and delicious. Will def be back!
Lucas
Great for oysters and beer from around the world. They have Tannenzäpfle on draft! Also recommended if you don‘t like oysters but are in for some other seafood, they have a great selection of entrées.
Only gripe I would have is that the „heated“ patio is still much too cold for comfort.
Guido Oliva
Maybe it was the tourist in me or the awesome cocktails here but boy was it a good 2 hours before heading back to Socal. The oyster selection is great and the crudo was amazing. Not a favorite of everyone in general but the highlight for me was the lobster roll. Fresh and spongy bread, creamy fresh lobster meat, just enough seasonings. All good in my book. The place was busy but the staff was super nice and the sevice was speedy if not fast.
Amy Richardson
This place is sublime. We got a little bit of everything (i.e. oysters, tacos, crudite) and it was all fantastic. Drinks were good too. Definitely fresh and perfectly cooked/seasoned. Service and ambiance also great.
Michael O'Connor
Stopped in with my partner for lobster rolls and a glass of wine.
At $42, a lobster roll should have neither cartilage (as mine did) or shells (as my partner's). The amount of lobster was fair, but unimpressive. Still, it was a fine meal with great chips and and decent slaw. The wine list is middling, and the cocktails uninspired.
The clientele appears to respect the ambiance more than the space itself, with buttoned-down diners filling the industrial-styled location around painted fold-out tables at uncomfortable iron chairs, attended by servers in t-shirts and jorts.
A kitchen admin fee of 3.5% (that doesn't go to front-of-house staff) juices up the price, a deception that is disclosed on the menu but not built into the pricing model, as it should.
You can have a good meal here, though there's several aspects that border on tolerable.
N C
Had a great lunch. Awesome vibe, super friendly waiters. Lobster roll and fried oyster lettuce cups. Good variety of decently priced beers. May 2021.
Marvin Tam
First time eating at an oyster bar, picked a seat close to the staff that were preparing oysters. The bartender was helpful at making food and drink recommendations, which I enjoyed. Would recommend this restaurant.
Bill Page
Outstanding dinner: raw oysters OK, oyster lettuce wraps reported incredible, clam chowder A+: not traditional, but that is what makes it great to have for change, fried oysters really great. A+ food and service!
Myrna Johnson
American food restaurant with a limited menu. The smoked and salted plate was very nice. The fried oysters were great. Mussels tended to be empty, but the broth was fabulous. Warm lobster roll ($33) was unimpressive for the price but decent taste of buttered lobster. Salmon looked good on a companion’s plate. We waited over an hour for a table after calling earlier in the day and being told they weren’t booked up. Our mistake. The hostess was rather huffy when we asked about this or that empty table while we waited. Our waitress was good though, very attentive.
Randy Meyerson
Amazing lobster roll - even the butter version. Great scallops. Great oysters (get the Aunt Dotty's). Great service.
Eric Ding
One of the gems in Boston for sure - I've still yet to eat something at row34 that I didn't enjoy. The food quality is well worth price point, and their raw bar is among the best I've had. Their seafood is definitely top notch (duh) but the last time I came was the first time I tried their pasta and it's incredible as well. Perfect cook on everything on our table that night. The pasta and the tuna tartare were the highlights of our last meal for sure.
Yun Fei Sng
This was our pit stop for lunch on our road trip to Portland, Maine last weekend, and it turned out to be my favorite dining experience of the trip.
First impressions, the staff were so handsome/pretty they look like they could belong in a Broadway ensemble, but without the New York attitude. The delivered a California-easiness with a Boston prep aesthetic.
It has been a decade since I have been in New England outside of New York, and I was surprised by how good the oysters were - the freshness was incredibly obvious. I liked their house oyster best and Eider Cove best. Their house oyster was sweet and plump like a Kumamoto, and though I don't typically like briny oysters, Eider Cove had an added complexity in taste that I adored.
Everything on the menu used Asian/Latin spices and/or ingredients, and that transformed usually straightforward seafood dishes into something quite special. I liked the scallop ceviche the most - the addition of incredibly crisp pickled apples and jicama brightened up the dish considerably, and I just kept munching on the apples soaked in citrus. The brussels sprouts were also quite delicious - the crisp permeated its many layers and the pairing with a spicy aioli was something different.
1. Oysters (Row 34, Island Creek, Fat Dog, Eider Cove, Cadillac Mountain, East Cape)
2. New England Clam Chowder (house saltine, bacon)
3. Shrimp Bisque (crème fraîche, croutons)
4. Tuna Tartare (sesame, cucumber, lime)
5. Salmon Poke (brown rice, gochugaru chili, scallion)
6. Scallop Ceviche (jicama, apple, Fresno)
7. Steamed Mussels (coconut milk, saffron, fennel)
8. Crispy Calamari (jalapeno)
9. Crispy Brussels Sprouts (red pepper aioli)
Riccardo Panella
Nice place, kind of dark industrial interior design but classy and welcoming. Raw bar is fantastic (honestly you can avoid the main menu and just focused on the small raw bar menu), wine list is honest and people are nice, price is in line with the other raw bar in the city and in the area.
Smoked and cured fish are very good and the board is definitely worth, the uni toast was yummy and with the right degree of smokiness.
It is located in an area that is not easy to reach by public transportation, so you want drive or Uber here, that's the only flaw I found (there is also room for improvement regarding the soundtrack, but this is very personal!!)
Suneel Kabadi
Really great experience. The food was super fresh and clean environment. Some of the best oysters I've ever had in my life. They can get pricy but its well worth getting a few. My favorites were the island creek Duxbury and the moon shoal Barnstable. The island creek had a really great balance of salinity to flavor, the moonshoal had a bite more of a brine flavor but was super good. I also had the shrimp ceviche and its ok with a smaller portion for the price. Overall I definitely reccomend!
Gregory Merchel
Was very disappointed since we had so much hype. The food was not bad but definitely not as good as expected. We did Come for lunch so may need to try the dinner menu. The fried oyster plate was mediocre, calamari was okay, chowder was okay. The lobster tacos were really the only thing we liked.
Marina Kim
Simply amazing !!
A must !
Craving seafood ? The oysters were delicious. Multiple options for ceviche and other amazing and fresh seafood appetizers. There are so many drink options ! Nice covered outdoor seating that kept us warm and safe from the rain storm. A very knowledgeable waiter. Beautiful night lights. Very great experience!

Row 34 is a solid, fancy dining experience. There are tons of reviews here so I'll keep this short and specific. Came here with a reservation on a Thursday evening around 7pm. The place was pretty busy but not packed, and we were seated immediately. Everything was very yummy. Salted fish board was stacked high with generous amounts of scallop, salmon, bluefish pate, and pickled muscles, plus bread and pickles. Roasted striped bass was decadent with crispy skin and some of the best ratatouille I've ever had. Crispy calamari was good and deconstructed Mexican corn was just a tad on the fatty side. Deep beer list, and dessert of cheesecake was fluffy -- I suspect they use tapioca powder or gelatin to give it a lighter texture.
Service was a little weird. For a fancy restaurant, no one at the hostess table offered to take me to my table -- they just said "feel free to look around for your friend." No big deal, might've been faster for me to strike out on my own anyway. Our waitress got everything in our order right but was kind of slow... She seemed very busy so maybe that was it, but for instance, after giving us the dessert and after-dinner drinks menu, it was a good 8+ minutes before she came to take our order, and when she did she said "are you guys ready?" as if we hadn't been the ones to flag her down. That being said, it was my birthday, and when I declined to order dessert they sent out a cheesecake anyway -- which was friendly.
Protip: they validate parking for $6, which is much cheaper than any other lot in the area.

Got the lobster roll and it was incredible, also the staff was very friendly. Really cool restaurant overall that I will try to go to more often

I searched for the best lobster roll in Boston and I read that Row 34 is their #1 on their list, so we went. Yes they are better than I’ve tried somewhere else during our one week stay. The sweet bun really compliments the flavour of the lobster. My boyfriend ordered tuna tartar and it’s delicious and not over powering taste. The tuna just melts in your mouth

If you're visiting Boston, definitely come here for seafood. Try to get a reservation if possible - it's quite busy! We walked-in here and got a bar seat after waiting for a while, but we got drinks in the meantime, so it was okay. The drink menu is expansive and the oysters are a must. The tuna tartare was also amazing. The lobster roll, although expensive, was worth trying if you have never had one. I always look forward to returning!

Second time here. Food is always great. I asked about razor clams and the server didn't seem to know what they were and was very confused. I asked a second person about them and they said they would ask the chef but never came back to give me an answer. But other than that this place never disappoints.
I would probably stick to the raw bar menu because it's the best bang for your buck. Sword fish pastrami is probably the best. Followed by smoke scallops, lastly the scallop ceviche. The sweet potato fries are a nice vehicle that compliments the seafood quite well.

An amazing meal! We had the best time and even my kids loved it. Our favorite stop on our trip to Boston!
Stephen Gildert
Great vibe in this place. Crabcakes were the best I've ever tasted. Staff are very knowledgeable about the extensive seafood menu and also the wide range of beers
Maya Kefalov
Cool Boston spot! We went for lunch and could not be happier with the fiid atmosphere and service. The crown was young to middle age professionals, not as noisy as other downtown urban eateries and the lobster roll was out of this world delicious!
Tyler Lee
Taste: Spectacular. Everything from the freshness of the seafood down to the slight sweet touch in the coleslaw, everything here is phenomenal.
Presentation: Simple and elegant, great usage of dish size to portion comparison
Price: $$$
Value: High, went to about 6-7 $$$+ restaurants and 4 for Seafood, would definitely rate the overall experience top 2/4
I will most definitely return in future years.

Great oyster selection and beers. The buttery lobster roll was full of fresh, tender, delicious chunks of lobster. Service was good. Tuna crudo was very nice. Bathrooms were meh. Overall definitely recommend.
Pat Gonzalez
Get. The. Lobster. Roll. Amazing hot lobster roll with tons of delicious butter poached meat - they don’t skimp. Oysters were also excellent, and you can see the live raw bar in action to appreciate the quality. Awesome seafood, long list of craft brews on tap and great service.
Mikhil Shah
Best Oysters EVER! loved everything we tried here on the Sunday brunch - from crab cakes to lobster rolls. Good service and reasonably priced given that seafood is generally pricey anyway!

On my list of must eat places for first trip to Boston. The smoked charcuterie plate was a must. It's not always the same and changes regularly, ask the wait staff. We had the tuna and salmon spreads, lox and scallops. The scallop was so good that we had to order a separate order for the end of our meal. The daily catch whole fish was a porgy white fish that was paired perfectly with the mixed leafy greens and sweet pepper relish underneath the fish. Clean tasting but the meat was hard to get off the bones. Back to the charcuterie plate, you'll end up wanting to ask for more toasted bread. Highly recommend the place.
If you need parking, they offer discounted parking at the Stirling St parking deck.

I came here with a friend for a quick lunch, at first we had to wait for about 10-20mins for two seat but we just end up sitting at the bar even though they had table ready for us within the ten minutes. I really enjoy sitting at the bar especially watch soccer game on the big screen monitor, learned more about some the the taps they have for beers and oysters. My friend order cider beer which taste pretty good because I don't like beer at all. We also order salmon poke bowl (it didn't come with rice but came with seaweed), 4 different types of oysters, truffle fries ( very flavorful) and claim chowder. The customer service was really good, the staffs was there all time to make sure we were all set and answered all our questions about food and drinks.

I go to Row 34 quite often for work lunches. It offers an excellent environment to meet up with clients; it's clean, quiet, the food is good, and the service is fast.
This time I got the fried calamari and the tuna burger.
The fried calamari was well cooked and tender.
I asked to have the tuna burger without a bun. Even without it, it felt heavy but overall good.
Nina Argibay
Our expectations were disappointed. I would only go back for their drinks, but the service is overall rude and the food is ok. Great location and decor tho
Marcin Tatjewski
An elegant place for good, classic New England's seafood. Much better suited for a date or a more elegant hang out with family or friend than the nearby Barking Crab or Yankee Lobster, yet you can still have a classic lobster roll here.
Also they have a great choice of beers and wines.
Shechem Sauls
Five star food. This place is a must for out of town travelers. The oysters and lobsters rolls were impressive. Bravo Row 34!
LisaMarie Zimmerman
Stopped in for a quick snack before the journey home. Trendy atmosphere with open concept commercial feel. Seafood centric menu and sadly they were all out of the burger but on the plus side the serive was excellent. Craft beer selection was fantastic and as an added bonus they are located next to Trillium.
Lawson Stover
Be prepared to wait (both dining room and bar have a wait list) but it's completely worth it. I had to wait 40 min for a solo seat at the bar but there are a few outposts where you can get a beer or app and hang out while you wait.
I heard about this place from some friends in Maine as well as a beer group on Facebook. Being from Virginia, we have some amazing breweries and fantastic oysters coming out of the Rappahannock River and Chesapeake Bay area. The beer selection and fresh seafood were phenomenal here. I intended only to go for a couple drinks and some oysters. They had about 10 varieties to choose from and the bartender was knowledgeable on each of their flavor profiles. I opted for 2 Mass and 2 Maine varieties, and while all were good, the Maine were great.
The real show-stopper was the uni toast. I've had fresh uni at many restaurants and even bought some whole sea urchin to clean myself. This was different, however, as they cold smoked the uni. It was sweet, savory and had the perfect amount of smoke to balance everything out. The cream sauce it was served with was far too rich and the pickled onions a little too assertive for me, so those 2 things were unnecessary as they detracted from the quality and flavor of the uni.
Although I didn't get anything cooked, everyone's food around me, and coming out of the kitchen since I was sitting right next to it, looked and smelled great. Can't wait to come back!
Sara Tavakolian
Expensive for the food that they offer. They have different types of oyster 🦪 mainly from MA. The service could be more friendly.
Christine Thom
So this was my first time eating oysters, I think I can do them again, they were tasty! Also had the fish and chips and my hubby had the lobster tacos, not a lot of food with the taco, but that was explained and he said it was just the right amount, and very tasty. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the building and had good suggestions about other places to visit in the area.
Jordan Offutt
Went on a mission to find the best lobster roll available in Boston. Lobster rolls are a bit pricey, so I wasn't going to try 10 of them. I did my research and found the consensus that this was one of the best. The reviews were not wrong.
The lobster was so sweet and delicious. The roll was so buttery and toasted to perfection. I had the sour to pair with it and it was excellent. The price tag is a bit high, but totally worth it for a splurge treat. You won't be disappointed.

DINNER REVIEW
After living in Boston for over a year, I had heard so many good things about the seafood over at Row 34 and I finally made it out. This place is typical Seaport. High-ceilings, loud, lively ambiance, good-looking people wanting to see and be seen. That's not to detract from the food but just expect this type of experience when you come here. Don't expect to get seated right away either, this place gets busy. We had to wait 20 minutes even with a reservation.
FOOD: I've said it before and I'll say it again. I love the small menu that this place has. It's both diverse and shows that they focus on a few good things. We ordered a lot so I will break it down into what we would order again and what we wouldn't.
What I would get again (you can tell it was a good meal by the majority of items being in this category):
Tuna Crudo - Do yourself a favor and just get this. It's one of the best things I've eaten in a long time. The fish melts in your mouth and whatever it sits on top of is delicious.
Crispy Brussels Sprouts - some of the best-fried brussels sprouts I've ever had. I feel like these are "in" right now and Row 34 does them so well.
Crab Cake - my friend who is a self-proclaimed crab cake connaisseur said this is one of the best ones he's ever had.
Croquettes - I typically don't like croquettes but these Salt-Pollock croquettes were delicious, just the right balance of fish and everything else.
Lobster Rolls - ok these probably are not worth $34 for the amount of lobster you get on them but they are still good. The buttered and toasted rolls they come on are delicious and the lobster is obviously fresh. We got both the brown butter version and the classic version and I was surprised that I liked the cold, classic version better. I just like that it comes with more elements than the warm butter version.
What I would skip:
- Onion Rings - Nothing special, I wish they were a bit crispier
- The desserts - we got both the apple crisp which was honestly underwhelming (apples were on the harder side) and the chocolate chip cookies were warm but they weren't special either. Save dessert for elsewhere.
Overall, a great experience and when friends are in town and wanting to have some fresh seafood in a lively environment, I'll take them to Row 34.
Kham Inthirath
How better way to get a seafood craving, than at Row 34. Started with the oysters, tuna, and salmon. I really loved the tuna app more than the salmon app. Capped off with the warm and juicy buttered lobster roll. Can't wait to go back soon. Just keep in mind parking can be very difficult, so be prepared to drive around a bit.
Katie Yamada
Row 34 did not disappoint. Next time, however, we will make a reservation. I highly recommend making reservations in advance as they seem to book out rather quickly.
We ordered a series of dishes, including the tuna crudo, tuna tartare and the smoked salmon to start. I have to say, the tuna crudo was one of my absolute favorites. It was garnished with some sort of fried garlic and had slices of avocado under it. The tartare and smoked salmon did not disappoint, either. I insisted on getting at least the clam chowder and lobster roll, and was not disappointed by either. The lobster roll was absolutely fantastic, buttery and the bread was some of the best bread I've had on a lobster roll. This place is definitely a little pricey, but if you're looking for good quality seafood in a more upper-class restaurant that somehow doesn't feel stuffy at all, this is probably the place for you.
Olga Shestopalova
Row 34 made the best of the lockdown, and offered the most amazing lobster roll dinner kits, which made for a magical night! The pickup was super organized and the kit itself contained everything: directions, lobster, roll, even celery salt and butter! It also came with delish cookies, cole slaw, and chips.
Putting together the lobster roll was a cool experience and made for a way more fresh dinner than if it had been assembled and delivered, not to mention how amazing it tasted! The lobster salad was really fresh and the potato roll was very fragrant, especially after toasting with butter. What a wonderful idea!
Ginger Parks
Excellent food, drink, and superb hospitality. Definitely a great place to wear a Lightning jersey in Bruins territory haha #GoBolts
Luke Troxell
I can't believe these people are crying over waiting 10 minutes on a server. THEY HAVE NEVER WORKED IN THE INDUSTRY. GREAT FOOD KEEP IT UP . YOU CANT PLEASE EVERYONE.
Jenn Lee
I came here after my friend recommended this place along with Neptune. We actually went to Neptune first, but after waiting an hour or so they said they were not taking any more names on their list. But this place was great! Their prices are a little bit pricey but the food is great. They didn't have the wine we wanted but the waiter recommended an awesome wine for us. My friend recommended the tower and not only was there a lot of food it was delicious. Would definitely recommend this place!
Cori B
Went for lunch and it was at least 35 min but we were lucky to grab at seat at the bar. Be prepared to wait. We started with seafood from the raw bar - shrimp and oysters. Oysters were on point - cold, fresh and early tasty. We shared a buttered lobster roll and fries. It was really good and fresh ingredients. Good craft beer selection. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the vibe. Friendly staff and good music is always a plus.
Doug Denny
Clean, classy and stunning. Tuna Tartar to start (Whoa) with the The Oysters to follow (are tops) and the fish wrapped it up (amazing), the wines and tap selections on par. Give Row 34 a run for sure.
Kevin
Oyster were fresh and they offer quite a wide range of selection. The lobster roll was alright, lacking flavor and lobster meat was really chewy.
Jim Rojeski
Row 34 was hands down our best seafood meal in Boston. The raw bar was outstanding and everything just so fresh. The lobster rolls were amazing. I still have dreams about mine. The side dishes too, were interesting and delicious. The cocktails were top shelf and the service, as well. We will be back as soon as our next trip to Boston.
Brittany Bergendahl
We couldn't get a table or bar seat on a Tuesday night but they had us stand at what we called the "Bar tree". The oysters, shrimp and clams were great. Nice beer selection 👌. …
grant I
Tuna ceviche to die for absolutely delicious. Rest of our dinners were also quite tasty and enjoyed. Busy place and no reservations accepted made for a one hour wait for a table. Once seated the service started quick and efficient but slacked off at the end. A better job on the service end would have left 5 stars. Still a worthy stop.
William “Rhino Reviews” Clark
I didn't take any pictures because I was there for a birthday party in a private room...would've been weird.
Passed apps...the tuna was outstanding. Raw bar was nice. Buffet style meal with endive Caesar, white fish, tenderloin, scallops, pasta, etc. All really good but the homemade pasta was excellent and scallops were really good for buffet style.
But the biggest shout out has to go to the staff. Truly beyond outstanding...bartending a small bar and running special drinks. If you set an empty glass or plate down, it was gone in the blink of an eye. Super friendly and attentive. In a time when service employees are hard to find...this place is clearly doing something right to have this level staff!
Josh
Cool atmosphere. Good beer selection. Amazing food. The chowder and oysters were excellent. A bit pricey, but worth it.
Alaze
Oysters were clean
Lobster roll was very good
Slightly expensive and very good quality
Taichi Goto
We (2 guys and 1 lady) ordered Shellfish Tower (about 85 USD). The amount was enough for guys with white wine, but not for the lady without wine. The tower was interesting as you can see the picture. The inside of the brick building was warm even winter, and the toilet was clean.
Eric Muller
I made a reservation for 7:30 and arrived at about 7:20. I was not seated until a few minutes after 8, with very little fanfare. There was no mention of the wait after being seated. If the reservation time means nothing, why make one? I’d recommend you don’t. Food was excellent with a great oyster selection, perhaps the only redeeming quality of this restaurant. The men’s room needs a lot of attention as well.
Ted Mader
Great selection of raw seafood. Entrees were good, nothing spectacular. Service was clueless about oysters on the menu and kept switching up the oyster trays on the table, which is not acceptable for the price point here 😡 …
Reza Fakhraei
Amazing oysters and seafood with outstanding customer service! Would definitely come back.
David Berkowitz
Excellent beer list and staff to guide you. Enjoyed the salmon crudo. Unreal clam chowder, overpowered by smoky bacon but worth it if you like that. Had the warm butter lobster roll - tasty, but if you’ve had brown butter before, that’s all there is to it, and the roll itself is pretty standard once you take in that sweet brown butter smell.
Chris MacDermaid
Unbelievely good. Might be my favorite place to go in Boston now. The beer selection is extensive and well curated. The food is just awesome. The smoked board and raw tower were amazing. I'll be back. You shouldn't hesitate to go. They also validate parking if you use the garage across the street.
Saltwater Nomads
We love Row. Always make it a stop on our trips to Boston. I was a bit sad by the wine list, but we found one that worked.
The oysters were delicious, and the service was excellent.
Sherry Feijoo
I think this was the greatest lobster I have Ever had! I will definitely be back. 5 stars is for the meal. Our server was not good at all.
Tom Dekel
Great vibe, great food. Service was very good. Had the lobster roll and it didn't disappointed. Wasn't too expensive either.
Monte Masters
Great service and food. Not only did the servers continue to check on us, the hostess periodically stopped by. Solid bartender mixing various drinks and overall great atmosphere.
Liv Rose Berlin
Amazing food, service and vibe! The seafood was superb and the dishes were interesting and very yummy. Will 100% be returning and recommend it to everyone!
Corbin Neike
The atmosphere was inviting - really liked the layout of everything. Delicious oysters and lobster rolls, holy cow. Would definitely go back...but book in advance. We had to get a reservation for the following day when we tried to go, since they were booked solid.
Lina Alzahrani
The food was fresh and nice. The waiter was extremely helpful but the host (who walked us to the table) had an attitude and gave us a look when we asked to set in another table other than what she suggested.
Aaron Davis
Wanted to love this more. Oysters were delicious. Lobster roll left a lot to be desired. Overall, would return.
Amy Jo Adames
Took my soon out for his 21st birthday. The waitress made it fun. A bit pricey is my only draw back. Food was delicious!
Sam Wilson
I was looking for recommendations for a hot lobster roll in the city and someone recommended Row 34. They exceeded my expectations! The roll was magnificent, the fresh chips were delicious, friendly and efficient service, and they offer take out! The atmosphere inside was also wonderful; clean and open, modern and fresh. I would highly recommend this spot.
Ella Fontaine
Excellent oyster selection (and high quality), excellent beer selection. We received really good service and the food was delicious (my salmon was cooked perfectly, the calamari was awesome, and the tacos were so good). We came here a second night while we were in Boston once my stepmother came to town because our first experience was so positive.
Samantha Lemna
I was recommended this restauarant by both a local friend and my hotel. I wasnt disappointed!
They squeezed me in even though it was super busy and I was alone. The atmosphere is very modern and nice. There is a wide selection of wine and beers, including the most sours I've seen in one place. I sampled two (very different) and went with one of them. It was delicious.
The menu is tasteful, mainly seafood. I had the monkfish and it was fantastic. Cooked perfectly, plated nicely, and a good sized portion.
The service was very friendly, quick and overall good.
Definitely recommend!
Israel Madera
Crazy delicious pan seared halibut. Holy cow it was fantastic.
Angie Torres
Amazing oyster variety, and food in general! We tried 4 types of oyster, and had the salmon collar with a side of fries. The oysters were delicious, and the salmon collar was very well seasoned and nicely cooked. We also had the butter lobster roll, and it was great too!
Aaron Spiegle
Very fun atmosphere and responsive and friendly service. Had the fish tacos and oysters from the raw bar. The beer is expensive but I'd still recommend it, especially for visitors.
Jesse Knaub
All I can say is awesome. All of the food was wonderful but the biscuits had to be in the top ten best things that I've ever eaten. Biscuits...who would have thought?!
Jack Aroush
You can't go wrong with Row 34 but its pricey. Legal Seafood is a good comparator but they are not cheap either. I guess you get what you pay for.
Barbara Preston
Very trendy place. Great oysters and lobster. Service was grest. Funky location downtown Boston but easy to get to.
Jennie Eosakul
Great restaurant! It has a really classy upscale vibe with mood lighting that provides a really romantic atmosphere. We had the salmom crudo, razor clams, and fish of the day, all of which were amazing. I will defintely make my way back when I'm in the area again.
Alessandro V.
Great seafood and a great beer and wine menu. Location is the only negative but everything else makes up for that. Highly recommended.
Katie Bak
We were referred here by friends and thought it was good. We were able to sit outside which was a nice patio although service was a bit sluggish. We split a (seemingly overpriced) lobster roll and oysters were about $3 each. If you’re in the area, it’s a decent choice but I wouldn’t go out of your way for it.
J J
Delicious food, not the best service. Get the burger with oysters on it. Their beer and wine selection is pretty good too. The bread that's brought out with your food is wonderful.
Chris Castellani
Great place for a solo traveler. I easily got a spot at the bar on a Thursday evening. 'Smoked and salted board' was super flavorful and a great value at $24. Add a couple of Jack's Abby pilsners and you've got a nice meal for about $50!
Michelle Glab
The service was pretty good, however, it took longer to get our beer than our food. And the food was a bit salty. My friend was very impressed with the lobster roll. The beer list was really good.
Steph Hill Rabasa
Formerly home to the Crucible Steel Company, Row 34 stands out as a trendy, industrial-modern seafood spot, tucked away in Boston’s seaport. From the same owners as Island Creek Oyster, you will find that Row 34 provides the same top quality ingredients, but offers even more in ambiance and menu offerings, including their impressive craft beer selection. Duxbury Oyster Farm owns Row 34, so it’s no wonder that they boast and prepare a beautiful selection of oysters year-round. There are plenty of interesting menu options at Row 34, but I always find myself returning to the classics - half a dozen oysters and a warm buttered lobster roll, with heaps of lovely pink and white lobster meat served on a buttery grilled roll, reminiscent of white bread from the best grilled cheeses you have ever had. If you love seafood, definitely check out Row 34 as it is among Boston’s best. .
Lin, Yu-chieh [Jay]
The lobster rolls (two kinds) from the mid-day menu are delicious; fries are quite large with great seasoning. Meals are at the pricy end but definitely worth to try once a while. Great staff and atmosphere.
Julia Repa
I always make a stop at Row 34 whenever I am in Boston, their oyster selection is fantastic and fresh!
Akshaya Chowdary
Food is good. The environment is pretty good too.
Lara Bryant
We loved the lobster rolls and the beers. Our server was very good and knowledgeable. It’s a little pricey but worth it for a special occasion. The menu is a little limited and we would have liked a few more selections. But overall it was a great night here.
Michael Fettiplace
Unbelievably good. Amazing oysters, top notch beers in tap, great wine selection and a menu with diverse food options cooked perfectly. One of the best food places in Boston, hands down.
Maria
Great experience. I took my friend here for a birthday dinner - Food was great, as was the presentation. The ambiance was also nice and relaxing. I made reservations in advance and although I didn’t request a dessert to celebrate the occasion, the restaurant knew the reason we were there and surprised us with a delicious chocolate cheesecake, candle and all. It was extremely thoughtful of them. Thanks for the brownie points! 😉
Mama Bear
Limited menu period has their most popular dishes. Their oyster was yummy! Tried 4 different ones and my favorite was the tiniest one, sweet and icy cold. Only east coast oysters and LOTS of choices! Had the clam chowder. Yummy. Just a tad too salty, very chunky. Presentation was nice. Big lavosh type cracker to nosh on. Salted caramel dessert was small, light and lovely. The crunchy, toffee like sprinkles atop homemade dollop of whip cream...mmmmm...perfect!
Andrew Arace
Wow, perfect oysters and amazing beers (you might not think a "New England IPA that's made in Idaho is a thing, but damn was it good!).
Great clam chowder, with a copious amount of bacon, and attentive staff.
Martin Sanda
Among the best lobster dishes you'll ever have: lobster knuckles on grits with jalapeno. AMAZING! The chowder and oysters are right up there too. My new fave for seafood in Boston. Great atmosphere: casual industrial with a touch of edge.
Nicolle Dananberg
The food was amazing. Best part hands down was the raw bar. Everything was so great and tasty. Favorite thing we got had to be the shrimp pimento from the smoke and cured section. The fried oyster lettuce cups were also amazing. 10/10 would recommend.
Stamatis Kakleas
Outstanding raw bar! wish that was the first place we went to! Definitely a boston Go-to from now on.
Make sure you get the Tuna Crudo!!! Don;t go all in on shellfish, they do everything well!
carlandreina
I will always be wanting to go to this place, best lobster roll in New England, so buttery and yummy 🤤. Oysters are always fresh and delicious, seafood at this place is an experience you need to get yourself. They have a great wine selection, is a little pricey but worth every penny 🤤🤤 …
Kate Lewis
Our server made a thoughtful wine recommendation and it hit the spot! We shared an entree and they split it neatly into perfect half portions, always appreciated! Food was delicious and fresh.
Pollyanna Wells
We were a party of 6 for a double birthday dinner. The service was excellent. Oysters were phenomenal. Entree items were nothing special and overpriced. Extremely hot and uncomfortable.
Anthony Fontana
Row 34 is a must. If your reading this review call and make a reservation. Fresh, clean, delicious
Jamie Kane
This is one of the best restaurants in Boston. Must try if you like sea food!
Dan M
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. The service is great, the beer and wine lists are impeccable, and the seafood is amazing.
Most recently I met up with some friends for some drinks and oysters at the bar before a show at Laugh Boston and the bartenders were both attentive and friendly. Got Bissell Bros on tap, which is rare for this area, and an excellent selection of oysters.
I’ve been here on dates, for celebrations, for dinners, and lunches and I never have a bad time. The patio is kickass in the late spring and summer and it’s well staffed and the staff is very attentive. The menu doesn’t change a whole lot but it really doesn’t need to as I’ve never had a bad meal here.
Definitely go out of your way for this place. A little more casual than their sister restaurant ICOB, and, unfortunately just beer and wine, but they do it right! Definitely make a reservation if you do plan on coming. Although large, it fills up as it’s one of, if not the, best restaurant in Fort Point.
Eric Goddard
It was just too noisy for me. Had a business dinner and it was hard to have a conversation. Food was very good.
Kateryna Chorna
Really delicious and super fresh oysters and lobster. The vibe of the place is cozy industrial.
But pretty expensive restaurant. And service wasn’t the best. The server wasn’t very happy that we came, behaved and serviced like a favor.
in general, it was good.
Nicolas Roux
Great choice of seafood and craft beers. The service is on point.
Mónica González
Very good quality! We ate the steam mussels and they were spectacular! The lobster roll is also very good.
Lena Shkoda
Food and service are amazing, my fav was in-house made mayonnaise and dirty martini. Little loud but I guess that’s what it is. Definitely recommend.

The food was fabulous and my waiter, Taylor, gave great advice. I had the oysters (sampled all), the tuna crudo (yum), the clam chowder (thank you Taylor), and the steamed mussels. Was pricey, but worth the splurge. Only complaint was the wait even though I had a 9pm reservation. Also, after I was seated in a busy area near the kitchen, I noticed some ambiance-filled tables with candles, all set and waiting for guests, that remained empty throughout my dinner. Not sure why they didn’t seat me in a nicer area (and sooner) if there was availability.
Zontziry Johnson
Oysters were fabulous, and the lump crab risotto with a side of mushrooms and polenta were delightful!
Michele Nelson
Came here last weekend for my 40th birthday dinner. I had reservations for 3 and we were seated right away. Service was excellent. Food was great. Meal was paced perfectly. Next time I am in town, I will visit again, and try the raw bar.
Thomas Rugg
Nice place great location good beer list. However Trillium is right next door and they don't have any on tap. Surprising. Nice staff. Overpriced food though paid $27 for small lobster roll on a hot dog bun. Paying for location more than anything. Glad I went but won't go back unless it's for the beer or maybe for lunch.
Frank G
The Shellfish Tower was really good.
Christopher L
I upgraded my review from a 1 star to 4 star.
My original review was based off my first experience; after informing the manager of my shellfish allergy, I was told I could be accommodated, but I had an allergic reaction, most likely caused by cross contamination.
After the manager heard of my experience, they reached out and asked if they could make it up to me; I obviously took them up on their offer, and I'm glad I did.
The service was phenomenal, and my steak was delicious. Plus, I didn't have to use another EpiPen.
I expected some kind of a discount, by I didn't expect them to come our meals and drinks; they didn't have to do that. The hospitality and genuine concern are my reason for giving them an upgraded review. Most places just chalk it up as a loss, as do I, and we never meet again.
We will return.
Thank you very much, Row 34.
Sean Preston
Never disappoints. From the appraisers to entree, cocktails to deserts, and the service and atmosphere...it's a true dining experience worth every penny. I especially enjoyed the "new to the menu" swordfish entree. Cooked to perfection and artfully complemented with vegetables and garnish.
Andrew Chea
Upscale place for good seafood. Nice atmosphere to catch up with old friends. Raw Oysters are wicked good kid!
Jason Ernst
Quick service, tasty food, and a big beer selection. Had a nice night out here.
Kessashun Arthur
I'll start by saying that this is one of the best restaurants I've ever dined at (and I do a lot of restaurant exploring)! I was visiting Boston for the week and had dinner in their elegant, dimly-lit dining room. It's no surprise that they have a menu of fresh seafood dishes and raw bar options. The menu almost under-sells how excellent the dishes are. They have some complex flavor profiles that show how well thought out the menu is. The side dishes almost look like a selection you'd find at a Southen restaurant, but I'd highly recommend the brussels. All-around, Row 34 has excellent food and excellent service. Do yourself a favor and pay them a visit!
Benny Ong
Excellent and fresh oysters... And a fantastic beer menu! Will be back.

Ashley took very good care of us. We had her pick out her favorite oysters for us to try; they were excellent, she has good taste! I also had a beet salad which was also delicious!
Hunter Parker
Overall it was an okay experience, we were seated against a wall next to the kitchen in just a weird location to the left of a dining area. Our server was not great and was more interested in cleaning silverware or talking to his friends than serving our table. Luckily a bud girl was very attentive and was the one who realized we were never given our drinks about 3/4’s of the way through our meal. The lobster roll was amazing though and made up for some of the shortcomings. For the price the service should have been far better and nobody should be seated in the location we were.
jill hallisey
Over priced
Fried clam roll was minuscule
The have NO paper menus
WHY?
You have to download a QR reader In order to look at menu
If you don’t have a phone with you or are unable to read the menu on your phone you are out of luck
“Patio” is on a very busy street corner with traffic ,construction and VERY loud music
Very disappointing
Melanie Dutton
Delicious seafood, fast service and nice ambiance. I had the trout and oysters and both were delicious!
Fred Williams III
Very tasty and well made food. Nice atmosphere and open a bit later.
Peter Wasielewski
Delightful food, maybe a biiiiit pricy? But not a disappointment. Oyster selection is pretty fantastic, and the crab cake is a must have.
Kjetil Berntsen
Great sea food and a very good vine list. Had a great dinner with 3 friends, ending the eveninge with tasting all their desserts.
Kevin Boat
Very tasty fish and chips. Shellfish my son had very good too. Warm cookie was great .
Ben K
By far the best (but most expensive) lobster roll I’ve ever had! Old Bay onion rings great too!
Jensun Mathew
Got the shellfish tower and shared it among 6 people , get to try a lot of the menu for seafood and oysters for cheaper then ordering everything separately. Didn't try the lobster roll but heard it was good.
Rita Edwards
The food was arrived quickly! Very delicious!!👌✨ …
Kyle Yet
Delicious food and comfortable atmosphere!
Troy Kelley
The chowder was some of the best I’ve had. Creamy with broth and great well prepped ingredients.
James Touhey
Good food and friendly staff at Row 34. I ordered the clam chowder and the lobster roll - both were delicious. Worth checking out when in the area
Heather Grunwald
Service was impeccable. Samantha did not steer us wrong. Smoked bluefish, oysters, hot lobster roll and whole branzino were standouts. Best lobster roll in Boston and killer beer list.
Max Poole
Tasty oysters, good though not great cocktails but a tasty squid ink pasta
Stephen Edwards
Food was great, but the service was pretty terrible. We would have ordered more food and drinks if the server ever came back to the table. We ended up grabbing the check the first time he came back so we didn't have to wait another half hour to see him again. 5 stars if the service was better.
Corinne Kendrick
Food is almost always fantastic, and I generally love sitting at the bar. It’s a great spot and has some Boston flair without being tacky or feeling touristy. However last time I went, I brought my parents - who were in from out of town - and the restaurant was absolutely BLASTING pop music. I just would love something slightly quieter and more relaxing for such a nice spot because it drastically impacts the ambiance.
Joseph Lee
Yummy oysters and food! It's pricey so be prepared!! Big selection of oysters and the Row 34 oysters are very smooth and not brine-y at all! Delicious fish filet dish with bacon garnish.
Seth Dean
Waaaay better than my first experience here! Great oysters and amazing seafood!
Samir Castillo
Great place, good vibe, good beer and wine selection.
The raw bar has great stuff, can’t go wrong with anything.
Corinne Cohn
Best lobster roll I ever had in my whole life, I am picky about everything I eat.
Marine Regnault-Stoel
Loved the ambiance (industrial, modern, warm, great lighting and accoustics) great selection of entrees and appetizers. Food was delicious and of high quality. Says something that the restaurant was full on a random Monday night.
j phillips
Upside surprise on how good the food was here. Great service as well. Sat on the patio which was great.
Nancy Aiguobs
The big fries and the mussels was just to good and yummy🤗🤤 I had finished it all before I remembered to take pictures 😒😜
Ryan Kelley
Great drink list, atmosphere, and food. Some of the best calamari I’ve had.
Andy Yen
Fresh and excellent seafood, a very vibrant atmosphere. The spanish mackerel and smoked eel appetizers were great, the warm lobster roll was my very well done too.
Caleb Lewellyn
Best oysters I’ve ever had. I thought I hated oysters until I experienced them from Row 34. Do yourself a favor and splurge a little.
Bradley Bragg
Our favorite restaurant during our trip to Boston. Great vibe and outstanding seafood. Staff were accommodating and prompt.
We got the salmon crudo, which was excellent, but other diners and the staff all stated that the tuna crudo was the best thing on the menu.
Layla Bouzoubaa
If you love oysters then this place is for you. We ordered two of each available oyster (16, total) and the lobster roll. Ugh SO good . The bread on the road was toasted and buttered but not overly buttered and the coleslaw paired really well. Will be back again!
Ecohomes USA LLC Managing Partner
Wow, great place with Amazing Shellfish offerings and we had a super waitress
Nikoloz Gogilidze
Best seafood i tasted in boston. Butter war lobster is great and fascinating choice of oysters.and everything is fresh
Anthony Sweet
Very fresh seafood. We loved all of the food to include a great warm lobster roll and excellent selection of oysters. The tuna crudo was also very good. The service however was lacking hence the 4 stars. Otherwise it was a great experience.
DAVID LOEWENSTEIN
The place to go to for exceptional oysters and lobster rolls certainly worth the visit
Dinesh McGinty
Service was quick, food came out on time, serving sizes were appropriate. Ambience was good, but the seats were a little too close to other tables. Felt a little cramped. Otherwise, great restaurant
Deniz Temel
yummy food. loved the oysters. salmon was delicious. beet salad was delicious as well.
Altaf Kassam
Decent food for the price, great service, nice atmosphere
jason okinawa
Outstanding experience. Great vivid protocols in place, food wonderful, server Dominic on point. Tuna tartar and oysters!
Rayleen Tritt
I want to eat here every time I’m in the seaport district. Perfect music. Perfect food. Perfect service. Perfect atmosphere. This restaurant is well...perfection!!!!
Amy Wang
Have been there several times and their oysters always maintain high standard.
Karl Wehden
This place is comfortable and fun. Great beer and great food. I haven't strayed from the raw bar yet, but I take that as a good sign.
Jocelyne Chan
We went for lunch and got the lobster roll and clam chowder. The food was good but I'm not sure I'd go back for the price.
Khaota Ogawa
First time at the place. I loved it. Clean. Family friendly environment.
Sofie Praestgaard
From my experience, I'm not really sure why this is so high up on all the Boston restaurant lists. Cool atmosphere, strong drinks, large portions, good service. Food was meh - fresh fish but not a lot of flavor.
Ben Leavitt
Came here for my a special celebration for my girlfriends moms birthday and it did not disappoint. Our server Peter was top notch and made us all feel like family. The Savage Blond oysters were unreal and they don’t skimp on the meat in the hot buttered lobster roll. Will definitely be back.
un
Quite expensive, but it was a worthwhile dinner. I was told to wait 40 minutes, but it took over an hour. However, the taste of the lobster roll is proportional to the waiting time.
James DeMaio
Visiting Boston for a few days and tried this place on the suggestion of my son and daughter-in-law. Well, great suggestion Brian & Hannah!!!
Started with a hearty bowl of New England clam chowder chock full of clams, veggies, and flavor. The lobster special was delicious with it's house-made pasta with a light and rich cream sauce. The chicken marsala was also served with a different house-made pasta with a creamy and very unique marsala sauce. Simply scrumptious!! Topped the meal off with a sweet butterscotch pudding with candied pecans. Service was great and our server was fun and friendly. A+++
Shiva J
Cristian our server was such a great host - he read the table, the mood, our taste and suggested so many incredible pieces that we were blown away.
Do try the fried oysters, the lobster pasta, the clam chowder, and basically anything else that he suggests.
Cheers Cristian!
Ryan McCabe
This was one of the best restaurant experiences of my life. Our server Sam was absolutely excellent and so thoughtful and funny. We also interacted with at least 5 other staff members and everyone else was just as wonderful as Sam. The food felt like it had to have come from another planet because nothing on earth tastes that good.
I am legitimately considering naming my unborn first child either Sam (after our waitress), or Row 34, after the restaurant that is now up there for my favorite restaurant of all time.
10 stars out of 5!
Esther Tsai
Amazing food, great vibe!
Edmund Lew
Walk in for Sunday lunch. No wait. Attentive staff and genuinely friendly. Meal was the best my wife and I had the entire 3 days in Boston. Chowder, fried oyster slider, creamy lobster roll with fries were all good. Highly recommend.
Greecian Koukla
If you love oysters, this is the place in Boston you have to go to! Row 34 offers a great selection of varieties to choose from. The New England Clam Chowder was amazing with plump clams and not an abundance of potatoes which was great. This is a nice and spacious place that can comfortably accommodate your needs. Our server was very knowledgeable with both the wine list and oysters. We will definitely come back for dinner next time.
Joe Perrotta
Incredible lobster rolls!
Erman Erkur
Row 34 Duxbury was my favorite- really good food
Jeffrey Critchfield
Great Boston place. Had the chowder and raw oysters. Service and atmosphere are perfect. A must visit if in seaport district!
Eddie Sneed
As a consumer of great food around the world, I have to call out food greatness when I experience it. Just had an amazing bacon cheeseburger that was cooked to a perfect medium rare. With the most amazing hand cut steak fries ever. As for an appetizer my wife and I shared the perfect biscuit drenched in a delightful honey rosemary butter that was to perfection. 5 stars
Matt Mescall
The raw bar was great! I probably ordered too much much from it. The best oysters I have had and the tuna was delicious. The clam chowder was delicious and the base was not as heavy as you get in lesser quality chowder. The lobster in the lobster roll was so fresh and delicious.
The service at the bar was very nice.
I look forward to returning.
Christopher Smith
Lobster roll and chowder on par with the best I ever had however the music selection during my visit left something to be desired.
Dean Remy
Simply the most delicious hot buttered lobster rolls anywhere.
Adrian
Best whole fish I've ever eaten in my life. It was amazing. We started with some oysters, which were a lot different from how we know them (we only know North Sea-oysters). My wife had the seafood pasta, and I had the whole grilled fish of the day (which was a Pudgy?). The beers they have are amazing. Soooo many to choose from, with a wide range of locations and styles. The setting of the restaurant is really nice. Swanky modern industrial New York-loft style, yet very cozy as well. Service was very friendly and accommodating.
don carney
We were celebrating a birthday milestone and the service and food could not have been better. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Thanks Chris.
Kwan Lowe
If I could move into the kitchen, I would. Service was good and meals came out in proper order and with good timing. There was not a single oyster that I did not enjoy, downing probably two dozen over the couple hours we spent there. I loved the chowder and the cod. The lobster was quite good, but I concentrated on other dishes. Good selection of drinks, knowledgeable staff, and a relaxed atmosphere made this an enjoyable meal.
Alex A
3rd or 4th visit here and they NEVER disappoint. Will be back here every opportunity I get to visit Boston.
advdn
Fresh seafood at affordable prices in a fun atmosphere
Lee Barnard
Amazing oysters and a superb selection of craft beers.
Christina Piacquadio
My husband and I have been eating at this restaurant for several years—less so frequently because of location, but nonetheless we make it a point to come here at least twice a year now especially in the summer. The lobster rolls are always delicious and FRESH, as is all their seafood, and you won’t find better oysters. And lastly, their customer service is second to none, I was already in love with Row 34 but they truly have a customer for life now, special thanks to Shore for wonderful customer service.
Mel J
Delicious seafood restaurant. We love the lobster rolls.
Victor Phothisuk
Had reservations here for a Saturday night. The place was pretty packed but we were able to be seated early still. Service was great at both the bar during our short wait, as well as at our table.
The food itself was well worth it. Not a vast menu, which is fine by me considering everything they brought out seemed perfected. They have a great selection of oysters which I highly recommend trying.
Also, I loved the ambiance of the place. Great setting for a dinner at any hour after sundown. Would recommending to anyone who is in town visiting and looking for some good seafood.
Emily Dale
I ate here on the first night of my Boston trip, and it made the rest of the food I ate that week pale in comparison. I wish I remembered the name of the server because they were amazing and had great recommendations for both food and beer. We had some oysters and a lobster roll, and they were both so good. Restaurant was clean, had a great playlist going, and was well worth the wait.
mia lucy
Out of all the restaurants we tried in Boston posted on Eater, this was by far the best experience! The lobster roll was on point with flavors and the bread was exceptional. Great flakiness and the right amount of soft. Oysters, oysters, oysters! We always ask for the servers favorites and try them. They were delicious. We had lots of oysters and lobster rolls in Boston, this restaurant was definitely some of the best. The lobster roll was for sure the best! Atmosphere- great! Service was friendly also. Do yourself
Very good selection of beers. Bartender was great and saved a ton of time because the place was packed. Samples of most beers. Oysters were excellent. Best lobster roll I've had in town.
Ryan Horan
While it's not the place to go if you're looking for inexpensive dining, Row 34 offers some of the best prepared seafood in the city. They're known for their oysters, and they definitely deliver. Around a dozen oyster choices, almost all of them from Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire. All wildly fresh. The steamed mussels were delicate and the broth had a burst of citrus to it. The crab cake was light and delicate, but I do wish the portion on it was more generous. Same with the lobster roll - beautifully prepared with a hot toasted and buttered roll but would have liked a slightly larger portion. The beer list is always being updated, and it's a doozy. Deep selections from impressive breweries, and the prices are in line with what you should expect from the expensive Seaport area. Dinner for 4 came to around $320 including tip, and that was with a few rounds of drinks, plentiful oysters, and apps and split entrees.
DS R
Outstanding food and service, plus an energetic atmosphere! Went here for the oysters and was not disappointed. The shuckers did a great job of separation and presentation. The beer selection was fantastic, one of the best I have seen in a while. Love the Rothaus! Our fish was also fantastic, no complaints. My only criticism is there should be a tart desert (key lime or lemon ice box) to counter the seafood. Recommended!
Juliet Moore
I can't say anything new beyond what other people have written, but this is hands-down my favorite oyster place in Boston, especially after many, many visits. First of all, the service is PHENOMENAL with the most amazing servers at tables and the bar (especially Heather). And even though Kumamotos are usually my favorite oyster, the Row 34 oyster is honestly the best oyster I've ever had.
Michael Johnson
One of Boston's premiere raw bars and craft beer selections. Staff is very knowledgeable and attentive to guests at all times.
Eugene Kang
Lobster roll and raw oysters were phenomenal
Jeremy Ren
Incredible raw bar tower. I head to that place it's next to city tap gouse. But this place is no doubt the star in the dark sky. Too perfect to forget.
Wes Struebing
Great atmosphere, great drinks, great food... Best lobster roll ever (get the butter version)
Etienne Boucher
Food is very good and the selection of beer absolutely amazing!
Nicolette Haddock
Amazing meal! My dad and I sat at the bar and the bartender suggested a great wine! We had a variety of oysters, lobster roll, grilled salmon, fries, and their crab cake. The food was very yummy, and as foodies along with owning a restaurant we would definitely recommend coming here.
Tracey Zellmann
Another great meal at my favorite Boston restaurant. Fine selection of oysters. Awesome depth and breadth in the beer selection. The salmon was cooked just right. Good wine recommendations made my wife happy. Our son was back from England with his girlfriend and we all had a marvelous time.
Matthew Gardea
Have you seen kyle? he da bomb. Best service from all the staff. 10-12-22
Daniel Williams
This place is a must-do if you're getting seafood in Boston. I had the whole fish of the day (branzino) and it was prepared excellently, stuffed with herbs, etc. I also tried several oysters for a starter, my server made great recommendations. They were so good I had more for dessert. The service and experience overall was top notch. I highly recommend this place
Randy Fowler
Great food and atmosphere. The raw bar, clam chowder etc we're all fabulous. Also had a good selection of local beers. We will definitely be back.
Bryson West
The food was delicious! I'm not familiar with the prices of Lobster, but 34 seemed high for a lobster roll. Regardless, the service was great, and having a heated patio was a nice touch.
Olivier LA
Bustling and fun indoor seating, quieter terrace. Good selection of oysters. Great place for a dinner with friends.
Carolina Scudeller Umeda Drewniak
I like this place. It's good to have couple drinks, oyster as appetizer and tuna crudo (the best! Actually I really go there to eat this tuna).
Last time, however, they didn't have many of the dishes from the menu, unfortunately.
Hopefully the unfortunate was only that day.
Nice environment. Need to make reservations, otherwise waiting line can be longer.
Americo Monteiro
Had a 5pm reservation. Seated immediately. Started with oysters Wellfleet and Row 34. Both were really good. I liked their take on clam chowder, but what I really came for was a buttered lobster roll. It's the best I've had anywhere and I continue to come back for it. My wife had the fish tacos with a Sriracha aioli sauce. I tried it and it was really good. The waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Adding this to our list of favorite places to eat.
Justin Gallant
Amazing experience. Food was fresh and delicious. Service was very friendly and perfectly paced for our group of 5. We shared all our plates with many rounds of oysters. Danny R was our server and he did a bang on job of explaining the plates, answering our questions and paying attention to our every need. Make a reservation, and have a great time, we did.
jena
Seafood is fresh and it seems like the bread use for the lobster rolls and the bread rolls are made in house.
Justin Libby
Pros: Oysters here are the best I've had. Beer and wine selection are fantastic. Mussels were awesome and broth was perfect. Apple crisp dessert was rustically good. Brussels sprouts sauce was zippy and umami.
Cons: Crowded. Loud. Service was very attentive for beginning of the meal, then I felt a bit neglected. Didn't feel rushed, though.
Other: Very modern decor. Young dining crowd. Lots of basic 20-somethings and a few businesspeople. Dress was casually-fancy. Was very happy to see oysters sourced from the south shore of Massachusetts.
Q
Food was a 10/10 in both freshness and presentation. We sat at the bar with DOMINIC and ANDREW. They were both welcoming and knowledgeable of the menu (thanks for the recommendations!). Highly recommend!
Derek Welch
My favorite hot buttered lobster roll in the city. Pricey but lots of meat and a nicely buttered and grilled roll. Outstanding beer selection on tap. Oysters are also exceptional every time.
Allen Sharples
Can't say enough. Awesome food especially the oysters I'm great sour Ales. Pricey but well worth it
Tony Tan
The seating can be tight, but the patio seating is covered and heated. We had the blue fish and lobster roll. The fish was well cooked and evenly seasoned, served on a nutty black rice. The lobster roll was good, but not memorable as the price would suggest. The cauliflower was a delicious side.
pk boston
Great food, great server. Young, but she was very knowledgeable ab all the oysters, describing flavor in detail, plus wine pairing.
Laura Moshofsky
Row 34! We love this place. We pass through Boston for two nights every summer and we always go to Row 34 for dinner. This year we had a young server that we asked for suggestions on where else to go and told her we loved Row. She told us that Row and the whole of the South End of Boston was terrible and that Row was just over priced. She told us that while we were eating and had just told her we loved it there!? She then told us that there were a few great restaurants on the other end of town but that it would be impossible to get a reservation that late in the day. Wow! We will be back Row 34 but I hope we don’t have that server! Thanks again.
Yale Evans
Top notch place. Excellent oyster selection! The waiters and waitresses have great knowledge about them and can help describe the differences and guide you to a selection just right for you. Good beer selection. Nice atmosphere. They are doing this right and you will enjoy your visit!
Saige Pacholok
Incredible meal! We ordered a variety of oysters, the lobster roll, Bucatini and the Brussels sprouts. All of it was great. On top of that, our waitress Kim was AWESOME! So down to earth and very helpful. Highly recommend.
Lea James
Everything we had here was delicious. The service was great too--when the beer I ordered was out of stock, they made a great recommendation based on what I had ordered previously.
Sandro
A nice and good visited restaurant. Gets quite busy in the afternoon. Good choice of different craft beers and a very good sea food menue.
J'Lesa Hawkins
I loved this place! The tuna crudo was sooo good
Colleen S
Clam chowder was fabulous however the Lobster roll was chewy,… overcooked.
Rob McCoy
Best seafood I've ever had, amazing beer list and a fantastic staff all around to bring it together. Fried Oyster Lettuce Wraps were unbelievably good. The Snapper was the best piece of fish I've ever had. Overall the food was a steal for the quality that was presented.
Mayte G
Best seafood in Boston! And best service!
Steven 350
Delicious and fresh! My wife and I split the salmon burger and the salmon poke. Both were incredibly delicious, well cooked and good sized portions. The thick cut french fries were also some of the best we've ever had!
We highly recommend trying this restaurant!
Frank Clarkson
Bet oysters and lobster roll in Boston! Excellent craft beer rotation.
Greg “Ziggy” Sigurdson
Great beer and wine list. Amazing food.
Lana Rivera
Great atmosphere! My family and I dined outside on Sunday and it was a cool breeze and great atmosphere! We enjoyed some items from the raw bar, ceviche topped w sweet potato chips, lobster roll and that amazing cornbread with the maple butter! We topped it off with the butterscotch pudding and was more that pleased! The food service was exceptional and the menu items were all amazing. We will def be returning soon!
Vern Wilson
Overall good. A little pricey for what you get. For instance, the fish and chips is only 2 smallish pieces over a few fries for $18. Tasty, but not very generous. However, my biggest complaint are the buns that the burger and sandwiches come on. It tastes like a stick of butter. Like a croissant, but less appetizing. I can't imagine what it would taste good with, but a burger is not that thing. Also, my burger was overcooked and dry. The rest of the people at the table enjoyed their meals. The clam chowder was good, but for $11 for a cup (not a bowl) it better be good. I don't regret eating there, but I won't be back.
Glen Shrayer
Absolutely exceptional. Top notch oysters, chowder, everything on the menu seems to be a gem!
Bryan Egge
Casual but trendy place. Fun atmosphere, loud but not overly so. Food was fairly solid throughout. Oysters were great but messed up the order a bit. Lobster roll was tasty but way over priced. Clam chowder was lacking in clams and they tried to do a bit too much with it. Service was decent, little slow and impersonal. Overall a fairly average dining experience.
Zack Mueller
Amazing beer selection and the buttered lobster roll was second to none. Would HIGHLY recommend this place
Scott Banks
Oysters were fresh, my rockfish "striped bass" was crispy with a moist flakey center, Lobster savory and mussels were addictive. A Great memerable time had by all. Service was awesome. Will def be back.
Sandy Reitman
What a great spot! Excellent food, fun vibes, quality service. The oyster slider is to die for. Also I have a Real Housewife!
Jason Mok
Great seafood, atmosphere and service
samantha weyhrauch
2nd time here just as amazing as I remembered this time splurged for the warm buttered lobster roll and I couldn’t be happier, we started with 8 oysters after the waitress gave some suggestions clean cold and delicious! Beer list was good unfortunately we weren’t drinking but the options were there! We also got cornbread for the table and a New England clam chowder my bf got steak which was cooked to perfection! Our waitress was attentive and helpful ! We’ll be back
Lucy Sandler
I mean this place is awesome. The food was so so so delicious! The cheeseburger with fried oysters was so good I got it twice in one weekend. Their beer selections are amazing as any beer lover will tell you, but don't forget about all the wines they have too. Definitely worth going, but make a reservation!
RM R
The restaurant is very large with huge bar area and laid back atmosphere. The bar tender was fantastic and actually came out from behind bar to take our drink orders while we waited for our table. Once sat at our table the waitress was great and explained some of dishes on menu and was very attentive.
RC3 “The Blue Collar Critic”
Drove from Delaware after 12 hr over night shift and up before then, just to try the Lobster roll....Amazing, great breading they use, home made roll, fresh lobster. very simple but great. Also had the oysters, They had some great selections. There is a personal batch on the list when i went in Aug. And they were amazing in flavor. I don't recall the name after so long, but as soon as i find out ill re-post the correction in here. Sit outside and have a drink, enjoy some of Boston!! there is parking literally behind the build, i didn't know this the first time. Also about a a football field away is a little brewery tucked away in a corner, great beer!! what an awesome combo!! I would recommend this place, and would return as soon as i can slip away again!!
Jennifer Perez
Our kids love this place, updated, modern, sleek spot in Portsmouth. We visit every time we're in Maine by driving across the bridge to the charming town of Portsmouth. Super fresh oysters by the 3 dozen if you like. Fried fish and other hot dishes are amazing. I usually get the fried oysters - fresh and plump. Great kids menu. Plenty of lot parking and metered parking across the street. Each time we went the service was excellent 5/5. The wine and beer list are top notch also.
Matt Lehman
Stopped in for some drinks with friends. Nice looking place. Bartender was friendly and attentive. Beer selection is great.
Susan Zellmann-Rohrer
For Father's day had a good playlist and good vibe. Food was fresh but so-so; 3 out of 5. Overall it is 4 stars because it is in Seaport and the beer selection is good.
Richard Broer
Fantastic venue, ideal location for us being close to the centre. We messed up our booking but the staff accommodated us so well at short notice even though we were there at peak. The service was brilliant, a good selection of wine and beers. Raw bar was fantastic with a vast selection of oysters. Mains were generous in size and very tasty. Would recommend highly.
Kristina Henderson
Oysters, clams, warm lobster roll, and a beer...or two. Their Row 34 specialty oyster is great, definitely get a few of those and the Island Creek to compare as the only difference is growing technique. Warm lobster roll is a must, with generous, large chunks of sweet lobster meat I finished my meal with their chowder, not too heavy and potatoey. But lots of fresh clam flavor which I love.
John Field
The seafood tower is epic. This place has an awesome selection of fresh seafood. The micro-brew list is also very impressive. Cool atmosphere and good service. Highly recommend for a nice date night.
James Putnam
Row 34 was an exquisite and classy place with delicious food and great drinks. I tried to eat a clam in one bite and it was a mess. The wait staff was very friendly.
Mike Milburn
Had a great dinner on 10/22/2021. Safe atmosphere, great food and great beer selection. The WellFleet Oysters were absolutely delicious. Will be coming back for sure.
Amanda Harris
2 words...Lobster tacos!!! Lunch is here is fast...a bit pricey, but of great quality. Robust raw bar. Good for the casual and business crowds alike. One of the best, and probably the most unique, clam chowder in town. @Row34...do you finish the chowder with vermouth??
Seth Schmidtmann
The lobster roll was awesome! It's definitely pricey, but delicious!
Maddie McKissick
Amazing seafood tower! Seated service was a little slow but they accommodated us as best they could. Bartender was kinda and helpful. Definitely worth going back
Chris Bonnett
Awesome restaurant! LOVED the lobster roll - so much buttery goodness on that hot toasted bread with giant chunks of lobster. The restaurant is open and airy with views into the kitchen, high ceilings, and comfortable/modern seating and decor. Awesome beer selection as well with lots of local favorites!
William Guo
Been here twice. Once for a company holiday party and another time for dinner. I have to say booking the restaurant for a company party is worthwhile. The raw bar was so good and always stocked. Dinner regularly is pretty nice too but its missing the flare of an unlimited raw bar. They have a large selection of spirits which can satisfy anyone.
JS Williams
Great service! Awesome place and great selection of craft beers!
Robert Callahan
Wow delicate, delicious, and savory. This restaurant not only brings the fine cuisine but know how to service it with exceptional experience. The manager had us laughing all the way out until we were in the parking lot. This was an excellent experience that all my friends should have.
Chris Spiering
It was very good and certainly one of the cool places to be. We found the service to be a bit slow and distracted. The food was very good but also very fried. Beer list and beer prices were excellent. Fresh seafood items on the menu were fairly expensive. The hostess was very nice and helpful. I would definitely go back but would not place it quite at the must do category.
K. E.
Great atmosphere with an open warehouse/lofty vibe. Craft beer lovers' haven, as it serves many beers from other states and countries. Great selection of oysters and raw food. Tried and loved both the smoked (or pickled?) mackerel as well as the white fish Ceviche, highly recommend. Would absolutely come back to this place.
Please see picture for me with some half shells.
Terry Murphy
Fun and delicious, they have a great Sunday brunch menu that goes all day.
Oysters are the biggest hit at $1.00 /$12.00 a dozen. I like the MA Cape varieties best. Taco's with lobster, lobster and eggs, steamed clams and exciting drinks round out a fun time in this open environment. The service is personable and do a great job. Worth checking out in downtown Portsmouth but get there before 5pm.
Nathaniel Gopen
Been wanting to go to Row 34 since it opened but just finally made it there. The oysters are amazing!! Well worth the money! I went with a few friends for a friends birthday for a weekday lunch so the place was quiet. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable about all the wines and beers, food in general and oysters. He let us try a few diff wines and beers which was really nice before we could make our final decisions. I really wanted fried oysters as my main dish but they weren't on the menu, however, the waiter had the kitchen make them for me, which was awesome! My friends had a tuna salad and the tacos and some other things, and oysters of course. For dessert we ordered the butterscotch pudding which was out of this world, but as an added surprise the waiter brought over the peanut butter bar which was also incredible. Next time I go I wont even both deciding between the two because you can't, you just have to get both! I can't wait to go back soon!

We had 3 dishes. The halibut and the bacon corn chowder-esque sauce was great. the bass was underseasoned but cooked well. Had a great crisp skin and the ratatouille was very tasty. The hot lobster roll didn't meet my expectations for its price.

Great beer and wine selection - every once in a while you can catch Trillium on draft here. Just came here for apps and drinks, but came away impressed. Seems like a great place for seafood. Atmosphere is dark, hip and trendy and the place was packed with people out for their after-work dinner and drinks. Hostess asked if I'd like the Trillium beer I had picked up next door to be stored in their refrigerator while we were there and I gladly took her up on the offer. Very nice touch.

Row 34 was amazing. The freshness of the seafood is incredible. We got both a ceviche and a tartare and initially had concern if they would be too similar, but each dish was so uniquely flavourful and delicious we were blown away.
Awesome beer selection as well.

A fantastic place for oysters! We order salty oysters - don’t exactly remember the name (a lot many to remember actually) but it was delicious, and they serve in a very fancy very wide saucer kinda thing - also had very delicious sauces to go with this
Along with this had ordered a branzino Fish - that was perfectly cooked and marinated!
Unfortunately don’t have any pics to share - but a must visit for seafood lovers!

Super fresh seafood in a cool atmosphere. It's pretty casual for seaport so no need to dress up too much

Seriously great. Excellent and varied beer selection, perfect fish and oysters, and damn good lobster. Only failing (and it was still pretty ok) was the potato chips (crisps). Given that everything else was perfect, that was a bit of a let down. Be aware, you're probably in for a wait for dinner, even if you want to sit at the bar. But I think it's worth it.

Damn good seafood. One of the classic and best seafood places in Boston, very few can beat it. Friend clams were fantastic, and also has a very solid beer list. Little bit on the pricy side, but that's expected with seafood, and isn't as expensive as it could be
Matt Osgood
Oysters and small plates matched by a thematically-strong wine list. I dig the ambiance and try to make it back whenever I'm in town.

We had 1 night in Boston, and this is where we chose for dinner. I’m so glad! The atmosphere is cozy but open. Energetic, but not too loud. We had a server who had the same balance - he was super attentive and offered expert guidance, but he was also very chill and easy going. We had several things from the raw menu (basically everything our server suggested) and a few other small plates. Everything was delicious, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. We got lucky and were able to sneak in without a reservation because we went insanely early (like 5:30 pm). I wouldn’t try to go again without a reservation, it is definitely a super popular (and amazing!) place.

The tuna tartare is so fresh but delicious. Everything we got from the raw bar was great. But the tuna crudo was particularly excellent. It seems so simple but is packed with flavor.Another star of the night was the cornbread. Served in its own cast iron skillet, huge hunk of maple butter on top, it's absolutely delicious. One of the best cornbreads I've ever had. The staff was all super helpful as well. So knowledgeable and excited about their wine selections. They were happy to chat about making the right selection with us.

The best fresh seafood in Boston. It's expensive but totally worth it. The desserts are amazing too!
Alfonso Hortaleza
Fantastic raw bar and draft beer selection!

My friend and I had lunch here recently. Nice atmosphere though chairs are not meant for long visits--very uncomfortable. Recommend sitting in bar area, as back of the restaurant does not have the same vibe. I had a delicious hot cauliflower-lentil-chicken curry dish I enjoyed. My friend had the crab cake, which did NOT comprise lump crabmeat. Lots of filler. Everything was well plated, and we had a nice visit. If you like raw seafood, everything looked very fresh and inviting.
Brian Williams
Amazing selection of beer. Great place if you like raw fish, but the menu for regular food is pretty short. The food is good though. Very upscale atmosphere, but the bathroom is reminiscent of a dive bar.
Julie Ahearn
Top notch food and service. It’s hard to narrow down the list of food recommendations because everything is amazing but the tuna crudo and tuna tartare are favorites as well as the clam chowder and lobster roll. The crab roll was not as good as the lobster although also really nice. I struggle with their wine list as it is a bit untraditional but the servers are fantastic and always help me find something I like. We go back every time we’re in town!
Andy Anderson
Have eaten there a dozen plus times in the last 1.5 years. Find the service and fresh innovative seafood menu to be superb. One of my faves in all of Boston.
Kylynn Fontaine
Excellent oysters, which makes sense since they are part owned by Island Creek. Very good seafood overall-lots of fish options in the menu. 4 stars because it seems kind of overpriced, and the last time I was there the food was slow coming out. $29 for a basic lobster roll is a little much. Can't fault the food though, it was great.

Well worth the visit, Row 34 combines a unmatched urban atmosphere with fresh seafood and knowledgeable service. From the moment we walked in, the professionalism shown by staff was outstanding. The oysters and fish/chips won huge compliments as did their beer lineup. My wife and I will definitely return with great anticipation.
Gloria Sapp
The best oysters I've ever had.
Ilana Eides
As good as it gets. Everything about this place is standout. Wine and beer selection is always amazing.
Tuna crudo is a must. With crispy shallots and black truffle cream. Then we got the mussels which were some of the best I’ve ever had. Always get a dozen oysters and we got the trout pate, which was salty tasty and amazing with the creme Fraiche. If you come with a bigger group, do yourself a favor and get the cornbread.
Christopher Berger
My wife and I had a lovely experience here this evening. I had the fish & chips; she had the lobster roll, and both were well-prepared and well-presented. The server was ever-present, quite attentive, and very pleasant.
My only complaint was that the food was slightly more expensive than what I would have expected, perhaps by 10%-15%, but even so, if we're in the area again, we'll consider returning.

Since its opening this remains one of my favorites. They are known for their oysters and lobster rolls for good reason, although that shouldn't overshadow the other amazing menu items. They have a rotating beer selection that changes daily and is probably one of the best in the city, along with wine by the glass list that is also, in my opinion, one of the best as well. The South are all amazing, especially Andrew at the bar. If you're going for the lobster roll, you can choose from a warm or cold one. I prefer a warm. The oyster selection is always good and never anything but fresh. Finish it all off with the butterscotch pudding, which sounds basic but it is outrageously good.
mrbouff
One of the greatest craft beer experiences in Boston! One of the best burgers around (ALWAYS add the fried oysters)! Courteous staff, great location, always a solid oyster selection. Also, it's seconds away from the original Trillium location in Fort Point!
Kayla Macias
Omg soooooo good. Great food, great staff, awesome scene.
Brian Anderson
Amazing food and amazing service. They have an extensive craft beer selection of rare beers. The food tasted great. My wife had the lobster roll which was spectacular.
Service was A+++
It is very expensive but worth it for special occasion.

Stopped at this spot while in Boston because it wasn't in the midst of downtown but still downtown...that means it wasn't as horrific finding parking. The food was AMAZING! The Arugula salad was clean and fresh!...like springtime in your mouth😄. The baked potato soup was also a hit. Great variety of craft beers. The wait staff and hostess were Wonderful! The kids liked the food too so that's telling, 'cause they are picky.
Gail Titus
Great atmosphere! Small menu to choose from, but was able to find something to eat. Food, drinks, and service were excellent! We each chose different fresh seafood and found our choices to be delicious! Will definitely go back again!
Renata Paez Rubio
The best clam chowder and lobster roll. We really enjoy it! 100% recommended
Timm Brüning
Food is good. Service not that experienced. So in case it’s your first time here be ready for a little surprise.
Wei
Nice deco and service. Foods were too salty.
James Bacon
Nice ambiance. Went on a Sunday where it's counter order on your own. Had the warm lobster roll and thought it was pretty good. Friend had a ceviche that was pretty tasty but small. Overall it's pricey but comparable to similar restaurants of its kind around town.
Charmaine Tabilas
To start, the food was amazing and the space itself was beautiful. The lobster rolls and oysters live up the reputation. The service was some of the worst I've experienced. They told us that we needed to wait an hour to be seated, it ended up taking 2. The servers rarely stopped by our table which became problematic when your thirsty and have tiny cups. How slow the service was became very frustrating, they mixed up most of our tables orders, and then it took another 30 minutes for them to get our checks to us after we asked for it. Our group is not very likely to come back.

This restaurant group really knows how to fry fish. I thought the fish & chips were stellar from my last visit here 4 years ago. My memory served me well. Amazing coating on the fish at just the right ratio, and always amazing quality, fresh fish on the inside. It doesn't hurt that you can drink some of the best and weirdest beer in the city here, plus a great selection of wine. #Professionalsonly, and they live up to that statement. Cheers.
Galen Blanton
Good food, but be forewarned, when ordering shrimp cocktail, one literally means one.
Hossam Rasheed
The oyster we're above average but not the best in the area. Blue fish was amazing. The beats and carrots salads were amazing. Fries should be tried. And any of their tuna dishes are a must. Service completed the whole experience.
Billy Sofis
I'd give them 5 stars for in-restaurant dining but 12 mos into the pandemic the take-out operation is still frustrating. Food is great in house, but almost every time we do take-out there's some delay on their end which results in us getting room temp food. Tonight was another 10 min delay after texting them that I'd arrived (at 6pm, which is before dinner rush). The 10 min drive home is bad enough and something we're willing to deal with, but when they double that bc front of the house isn't on top of things, it's super frustrating. Obviously if I was eating in the restaurant and someone had let our food sit out for 10 min, they either would have re-fired or reheated the cooked items. Now we're just left eating tepid fried oyster sliders...
PJ Lee
Incredible food and awesome service - pretty expansive beer list and definitely plenty of wines to choose from as well.
Laid back atmosphere with patio seating options. Didn't know what to expect, but was blown away - tuna tartare was on point, and also enjoyed the ceviche and some of their pate options. Prices can be a little steep, but with their quality, it was definitely worth it! Would definitely come back again
Nat Taylor
The burger with fried oysters was highly recommended and it did not disappoint. It was one of the best I've ever had and somehow tasted like I was getting beef-tasting bites separate from the oyster-tasting bites. The mussel appetizer was delicious as well. My party also ordered the cornbread and it was worth it.
Todd Ficarra
Excellent food and drink. Well curated beer and wine list. Excellent menu with a strong local focus and uncommon dishes (roasted bluefish). Service is friendly and knowledgeable. Can't wait to go back. Highly recommend.
Sunessa “Sunny” Schettler
Love this seafood and wine list, oysters and cocktails for days! Beautiful modern setting and the staff and other patrons made dining there feel safe and comfortable.
Adam B
Great place for fresh food. Calamari is more of a deep fried style. Burger is excellent! They have good local beers on the menu as well. Atmosphere is great and we were lucky enough to find parking about 2 blocks away on the street.
David Bihari
Disappointing! Visited last year in May but my return visit did not fulfill my memory! The oysters were nothing like the the B & G the previous night! And the lobster roll was so salty I thought they were trying to kill me! The salad was great! And the service was excellent!
Mia
Always love the food here. Very nice oysters and warm butter lobster roll.
Yonatan Ryabinski
Good oysters very good service. A bit crowded so expect a short wait if you come without reservation. But they use technology to notify you via text when your table is ready and wherever you wait inside the restaurant you will be served a drink.
Jill Moraski
Hip spot in the heart of seaport, somewhat industrial chic feel. The wait is often very long so plan ahead. Raw bar is always great, warm butter lobster roll is pricey but is so good that it may be almost worth the money. Last time, the clam chowder was way too salty/acidic but it’s usually very good.
Ian M
Extremely good beer list. Really nice atmosphere that is modern and bright. Burger was decent but didn't blow me away. Didn't try any other food, place might be a 5/5 if other food is outstanding. Food is the only thing holding the rating back.
Clay Davenport
Delicious seafood. Great raw bar. Good wine list. Nice atmosphere. Server was very friendly and helpful in pointing is to some delicious food. Highly recommend.

Looking for the best lobster roll on earth. Just left the Row 34. It was an overall very good experience. Sat at the bar, had great service. Food review:
- clam chowda was SO salty. Good but definitely the least of the highlights. I loved the tarragon but I know some people can't stand that flavor
- field green salad - I was warned - is just a field greens salad. It was truly nothing special - which I ordered, knowing full well, I just wanted my greens.
- WARM LOBSTER ROLL.... Meh! I'm sorry for not raving about it. Had good chunks of meat, good bun, not overly sauced. I consider myself a connoisseur of lobster.... My issue was it was SO salty and buttered. They should use unsalted butter. Basically the taste of the meal is salted butter. I most definitely enjoyed it but best Lobsta roll in Boston? Can't be. And for $34? Someone tell me whats better PLEASE
That all being said, I had a great time and food was very good!
Kelly Higby
We loved it all! Had the oysters, salmon pâté, caviar toast, crab cakes, fish and chips, fish tacos.
Bryan Carroll
Amazing place. Great selection of beers, super friendly service. The clam chowder was phenomenal as were the oysters. I wasn't sure what kind of oyster to order and the server helped me pick one out based on my taste preferences. Tbdg were great picks.
Darren Stanizzi
Delicious food and amazing atmosphere. One of the best raw bars in Boston. Food is on the more expensive side but the quality of the seafood be is well worth the price. As a bonus it has one of the best beer and wine lists.
charles mignella
From the large selection of oysters, to the massive list of craft beers, row 34 has it all. The servers were all very helpful when deciding what type of oysters to pair with our drinks. I highly recommend anyone visiting the downtown Boston area to come and try Row 34 and their delicious oysters and crafted beers.
Bobby Cavezza
Their dinner and beer selection is fantastic. They have the best raw bar and seafood in Boston. They also have a very hard to find warm lobster roll - which is fantastic! Brunch was just okay.
john norris
Excellent food, exceptional service, very pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend them!
Drew Hall
I had raw oysters for an appetizer and a fish sandwich as a meal. It was all fantastic.
Hyok Song
Nice atmosphere and good food. Frendly servers as well.
Catherine Terilli
Enjoyed dinner here. The Smoked Shrimp Pimento Dip and Crabcakes were a highlight! A private event (wedding) was in a space near where we sat so had dinner to wedding music, which was unexpected.
