I enjoyed a dinner here a couple of weeks ago. I ordered a burger, sweet potato fries, and a milkshake. Overall I enjoyed my meal and it definitely made for a good dinner. I only give it four stars as it did not seem to stand above similar concepts despite its spot at the higher end of the price range. This is a good spot to go for a burger and a good stop if you're in the area.

This is my first Google review of a restaurant and I’m writing it at as I finish my first ever Mooyah burger and sip a cold Sam Adams summer ale. As a very picky foodie who extensively researches Google reviews before trying a new place, I decided it’s time to pay it forward. Brace yourself: I’m not a concise writer by any means, especially when it comes to food. Best. Burger. Ever. I’m from the land of in n out, I’ve had many burgers from mcdonald’s to fancy restaurants to homemade. This burger blew me away. I’m visiting Boston - I’ve been here before but never heard of Mooyah. I had time to kill this evening and was craving a burger and a beer. I’d given up on scouring google to find a well-reviewed burger joint that wasn’t super fancy or a huge chain, that too without sesame seeded buns cuz I’m allergic. I walked by this place after I’d ruled it out because it didn’t look like they had beer or a good ambience. It seemed much chiller in person so I decided to give it a try. The woman at the register was very kind and welcoming, the menu is extensive (vegan / paleo friendly, kids menu, etc) and there is ample seating and a chill vibe. They serve beer on draft and you can get a pitcher, too. I didn’t try the fries (not a huge fry fan) but I would’ve tried their shakes if I wasn’t trying to watch my sugar. The order was ready very quickly - I barely waited 5 minutes and they were moderately busy. I’m always stick to the basics so I got the cheeseburger with cheddar instead of American. It slapped so hard (in a very good way). I’m debating ordering a second. I try to avoid beef but I have no regrets eating it tonight. I will say that the burger probably wouldn’t travel well - best eaten on the spot or soon after. Overall, I’m very pleasantly surprised by Mooyah. If you’re in the area and in the mood for a quality, reasonably priced burger, come here! Don’t write this joint out like I did. P.S. I stopped writing this review midway to order a second burger & beer.

Pros: great crust on burger patties. Good fries, similar to Five Guys. Friendly service. Generous fries portion. Lettuce bun options are nice. Buns are buttery and delicious. Good value for the price point. Cons: location makes it a challenge to keep the establishment clean and orderly, but the staff is doing a Waffle House level of keeping it nice.

Amazing burgers. I hate the Diablo and it was great with plenty of jalapenos with vinegar for a sharp contrast and flavor. A lot like a five-guy burger style but better tasting. Fried were quite tasty. Definitely best burger around

Ordered the paleo and the mushroom Swiss burger—The mushroom swiss burger was savory and had good texture, crunchy onion and gooey cheese is an amazing combination. The paleo is a healthier option, more on the bland side but still enjoyable :) the fries were delicious and I liked that they were served in a cup! Overall I do recommend this place!

I've been to many different burger chains, but MOOYAH was a hidden gem. They're making everything from scratch (also the bun and fries) and it is superb! Prices are so decent and almost all toppings are free, even all the different sauces on the side. Skip Five Guys and Shake Shack, definitely try this place first!

It's OK. I ordered the Mooyah single cheeseburger combo for $9.99 add bacon $1.49. The total with tax was $12.28. The burger reminded me very much of Wendy's. I don't know what the Mooyah sauce was because there was very little of it on the top bun. I was hoping for a really awesome burger. The fries were really greasy and maybe the oil was a little old. I'll try another burger place in the area because it wasn't the best burger for me.

Ducked in for lunch during a rain storm. Menu permits make-your-own burger and thier own specials. Vegan, Paleo and lower-carb options. We had the mushroom swiss burgers and a hot dog-ger, which is a hot dog split and piled on top of the burger. The burgers were freshed cooked and had delightfully crisp edges like off a grill, NOT burnt. The toppings were savory and crisp. The fries were hot and salty, but a little limp. They offer generous amounts of ketchup in packets, and small cups of ranch dressing for the fries. Overall, a satisfying meal.

I tried the strawberry and chocolate milkshakes here. What an amazing taste and textures to those! I can still feel the thickness of that Hershey's chocolate in my mouth. I would strongly recommend this place for someone craving for a milkshake.

A traditional burger, fries and shake place by Boston Common, Mooyah is a great spot for a good burger, with plentiful fries and tasty shakes. Its surprisingly large inside, and there's another floor, where they hold events, like Comedy Nights. Being so close to Emmerson College, you do get a lot of college students coming through. Overall, a pretty good place to grab a burger and people watch through their big front windows (after they get the construction on the street done)

I've been in Boston, MA for 2 years. I work and catch the bus in front of Mooyahs. Never thought about getting food from them until today(9/30/2022) I was off, I was hangray, so I went inside and got myself a double cheeseburger/w fries combo. I was thirsty so instead of the soft drink I got a 🍺 That was the Best double cheeseburger I've tasted since I came to Boston from North Carolina, Georgia, and New York 🗽 😋😇 Thanks, Mooyah I'll be back 😻

Amazing burgers and shakes. The fries are always super fresh and crispy, and the atmosphere is fun and friendly. Haven't had the beer, but I've heard good things. When we went tonight, there was a bit of a mixup at the ordering station with our burgers, but when we got them and realized, they fixed them super quickly, were very nice and apologetic, and gave us shakes as an apology. We very much appreciated the hospitality, that's how you gain repeat customers; any place can serve a decent burger, but it's the atmosphere and employees that bring you back time and time again. I commend the trainers who worked with the employees, and whoever has those boys cooking in the back! Definitely a must if you're in the area.

TL;DR: Get salty with me Mooyah. Almost pitch perfect but everything needed salt. The Mooyah Double Cheeseburger in its stock iteration comes with two patties, two slices of American cheese, shredded iceberg lettuce, and Mooyah sauce (think special sauce) on a potato bun that is more like a brioche than say, a Martin’s Potato Roll. The patties had great browning and crust, but were woefully under seasoned. The fries are skin-on and appear to only have been fried once, while still achieving a light, fluffy interior. They were served hot enough to salt, but just barely and with no way to toss the fries for an even coating, the experience was less than amazing, which is what they could have been. Anyway, I would eat here again, but damn dude, salt. Salt!!!!

Yes, they offer a gluten free bun!! Booo, the fries are NOT gluten free. Burger was decent, bun was way too much bread, I was tearing off the excess off the top just so I could get a good burger to meat ratio. Not terrible, it was good for a quick bite to eat. Service and ambience are a solid 2 stars. Not the cleanest place but what can you expect.

3.5 if being honest but deserves the benefit of doubt. What I ordered cost $1.20 more than listed on menu directly in front of me. Not Cool. I was only one in line/waiting. One other sitting. Still waited 7 minutes for one burger in lettuce wrap... Not cool. Flavor of burger. Very Good! Flavor of meal, GOOD! Atmosphere is cool, can appreciate what they are TRYING to do... Would recommend if not in a rush and can sit down.

Best burgers In town no one compares. Their product is made fresh on a constant. They give you so much hand cut fries and they are Pippin hot all the time. Items are made to order, their menu selection is out standing. I recommend that you try at least 3 of their burgers you will never be disappointed. This burger was SO good! The place was hopping but the staff was very efficient and we waited only a few minutes for our meals. Possibly even better than the burger was the service, and particularly the young woman who took our order. She was so warm and friendly, had a big, genuine smile and was helpful in walking us through the menu as it was our first time there. It was a great way to be greeted! To complement their delicious burgers (with their own Mooyah sauce) they have fresh, hand-cut fries and a few beers on tap. Great spot for a quick bite or to curb that burger craving. But don't expect it to be curbed for long; they're so good you're going to want another. Recommend!

I have been a Five Guys fan for quite some time but I have to say MOOYAH has better burgers and buns. Burger so juicy it literally melts in your mouth! Buns softer than my wife’s... ;-). Their fries were awesome as well! Service was excellent! Now, I might knock a half a star only because they don’t have the full menu as listed on MOOYAH’s corporate website but they said more selections will be added soon. But I’m perfectly ok with giving them 5 stars. I will be coming back for more goodness again and again... Go try one yourself!

Went with a few friends. I got a burger with the queso cheese, mushrooms, tomatoes, pickles, and mayo. It was very good. Next time I'd eat it with a fork and knife though as it was pretty messy. But very good. I got regular fries with a side of buffalo sauce for dipping (no charge). The fries were great. My wife got an ice burger (lettuce for the "bun") and sweet potato fries. She loved both, but particularly the fries. Mooyah's fries are thinner and crispier than steak fries. Very good. Staff was great. Multiple televisions with various options on them. It's tight, but we didn't have a problem finding seats, even with some busyness. Will go again if the opportunity is presented.

These guys are incredible. We ordered our company lunch in advance, and it turned out to be during the Super Bowl Patriots Celebration Festival, which happened to be right along Tremont Street and jam-packed with crowds. Anyway, pretty simple place. Order at the counter and they call your number when its ready. Burgers can come in crazy concoctions or you can keep it simple. Fries come separate but if you order them you get A LOT. Place reminds me of shake shack (mooyah is also a chain) but personally I would take mooyah over shake shack.

The burger quality is akin to shake shack, with a far less juicy reality than photos suggest, the topping options want to be Boston burger company but just aren't; the fries come with some Chipotle seasoning and may not be fresh, and the shakes are really more like a frosty, too thick to actually drink with even the big straw they gave us.
