Reviews of The Chef's Hut
The Chef’s Hut is a cute place to enjoy good breakfast. I was welcomed with open arms and enjoyed my experience. I ordered a Small Plate with a Belgian Waffle (seemed like a BIG plate—good portions) and left full.
Will definitely be back!
When we first arrived the atmosphere was calming and felt family oriented. Very comforting and nostalgic feeling. Love the Cafe esthetic and they were really clean. The shelves were dusted and the food was neat but fast. Can definitely tell that they don't mix food as well. With the egg and hash brown I didn't taste other food that could be cooked with it. Plus a warm welcome from our server Kyrsta was really charming and friendly. Keep up the amazing work and thank you for a great experience! Will definitely come back.
I could you not, this place has the BEST Eggs Benedict that I have ever tasted. On top of that they have the sweetest server ever! The atmosphere is very homey with a lot of antiques available for you to look at while you wait for your food.
Fun little hidden away cafe. Great for groups of six or fewer, but larger groups (like ours was) may find it difficult to sit together as the cafe is small.
Food and service was good. A few of our groups orders got goofed up a bit, but the service was good otherwise.
Huge amount of character packed into a small place. Great food - quantity and quality. Excellent prices. Friendly staff. 20 minute wait to be seated and 40 minutes after that before food was served. Excellent place for breakfast if you are not in a rush.
The Chef’s Hut ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Located in the Franklin Business Park (164 S. Cole Rd.), The Chef’s Hut is one of Boise’s best kept secrets. It is an old fashion diner that has been around since 1974. Open Tuesday through Sunday from 7 AM to 2 PM, they are best known for their breakfasts.
The Chef’s Hut is also known for their Cinnamon Rolls. These photos are from a weekday visit around 1:15 PM. They had just taken their second batch of cinnamon rolls out of the oven. You can order trays of them for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
I’m a big fan of their lunches. My go to is usually the Patty Melt with fries ($9.99). If I’m eating there, I get it with fresh cut fries, but when I ordered to go, I was encouraged to get their regular fries or beer battered onion ring. I went with onion rings and a side of Fry sauce. Both were excellent! Usually the patty melt comes on a darker rye bread, which I prefer, and is grilled a bit longer. I got a Cinnamon Roll $2.99) to go too, which I had for breakfast the next morning. It was excellent! I only wish it had raisins in it. These photos are from a visit on 8/18/21.
One of the things that I love about this place is that it makes you feel like you’ve stepped back into time. There’s nothing fancy about it, but it feels like someplace you always known. It’s a kind of place where the cook will make Mickey Mouse shaped pancakes for your children. It’s the only local place I know that has Spam on the menu. They make many items from scratch. They have hand battered fish and chips on Fridays.
The owner is a big animal lover, who has Corgis. During warm weather, there is a dog friendly patio outside where you can dine with your four-legged family members.
Other menu items I have tried and enjoyed are:
The Hut Skillet
Chili Burger
BLT
Reuben
Finger Steak Basket
Fish & Chips
One of the items I haven’t tried but that I’ve heard a lot of great things about is their Pesto Turkey Melt.
Highly Recommended!!!
Fantastic breakfast experience. I ordered the skillet and it was delicious plus it came with a biscuit and sausage gravy...boom! Go early in the morning because it gets busy. Keep it up guys!!
If you're looking for home cooking, charming decor, and a wonderful staff you have come to the right place.
Found The Chef's Hut on Google looking for a good breakfast burrito and found this gem!
We, my wife and I, ordered a cinnamon roll to start as it was at the top of the menu. The wife ordered the Pork chops and eggs, while I ordered the "Gutbuster".
We will start with the cinnamon roll as it comes out first if ordered. It was piping hot and came with a serving of butter on top which began to melt instantly. The cinnamon roll was the perfect balance, not over sweet, the cinnamon was there but not overpowering. The glaze on top made it perfect with the melted butter! No nutts or raisins (Thank you!).
Onto the main event:
The "Gutbuster". It was perfect and lived up to it's name. The burrito could barely close and was at least as big as the plate ( about 12") covered in cheese. It normally comes with country gravy, but as I don't care for gravy on my burrito I gave it to my wife. The meat was fantastic and was well flavored, having ham, bacon, and sausage. The eggs tasted as if they were done "dirty", as my grandfather would say, and brought me back to childhood. Added a bit of sour cream to the mix and it was fantastic. Needless to say I did not finish. (Photos attached)
The pork chops and eggs were delicious as well. The pork was moist, slightly breaded and fried. The hash browns were done to perfection along with the English muffin. The gravy that I had passed on to my wife was fantastic. Not overly spicy but very flavorful.
The staff was fantastic and kept us well looked after. I cannot praise the place enough. The prices were also very reasonable. My wife and I will be back!!
Very odd location but kind of cool in a business park. We had an hour wait in a Saturday at 11am but they did say once we got it that it was an unusually busy day.
The Chicken fried steak was great, I would say in the top 3 I have had and the gravy was very flavorful. My wife had the eggs florentine half order and said it was great. Hot Chocolate was very good and rich. And the service was great even though they were slammed busy.
This is truly a hidden treasure! Everytime I visit, I am welcomed with a warm smile and enthusiastic greeting. You feel like you're entering a small town country diner in the middle of the city. The food choices are extensive and reasonably priced. Whether you come for breakfast or lunch, you won't be disappointed. For breakfast, you have to try "The Works" omlette!
Family size portions, delicious, and great service. I was just passing through Idaho and if I ever go through again I would stop again. It's tucked away in a business district but you have to try there food. As you can see we ordered alot of food and we finished it all.
My breakfast burrito was huge. His omelet had tons of meat in it. Gravy was awesome. Good service and good food. Could use more parking tho.
Neat little place, food was pretty good and the prices weren't bad.
Rarely rate a restaurant after a first visit, but from my experience and that of long-term customers, this place is a golden breakfast place. I had the coconut french toast, and it was delightful. All our meals were made to perfection. Service was great and on time. The place was kinda small, but I don't mind. I don't really want a crowded place during breakfast. Will definitely be returning here.
Atmosphere is cool and the burrito was good and very large, 1.9 pds. The waitress was rude after one of the other patrons walked out. If your going to bash another patron with the kitchen staff don't do it so everyone can hear. If the place was cleaner and the staff were not so free with bashing people who paid to eat there I would have given it 5 stars!!
Chef's hut has quickly become my go-to spot with friends and loved ones. It is very small but it makes it feel much cozier than other breakfast/brunch spots in town. The food is good, with a pretty wide variety for a kitchen that small. The staff are all so nice and welcoming too! Definitely try it out if you are curious.
Took my sweetie to this little gem I found here in Boise. It is a small place, started in 1974 and they are so very good. Breakfast and lunch only 7 days a week. Their service is 5 starts, their food is five stars and I highly recommend this place. Get their early ad it gets busy at about 9am. This is the place the locals go to and their prices and portions are also 5 stars
Been meaning to swing by and try this place out for years. Classical American diner experience. Amazing food and great service.
Find an excuse to eat here.
Small town feel cafe with breakfast and lunch. Good service & welcoming atmosphere.
Breakfast and lunch cafe tucked away in a business park. Very generous portions and tasty food. Lots of menu options so if you can't find something to eat here, you're not trying. Service was super friendly and the prices are right. I definitely got a to go box because I couldn't finish everything. I had a spinach, grilled onion omelette, Belgian waffle, hash browns and a side of bacon. My husband went with the Spanish omelette which was chock full of peppers, onions, tomato and salsa along with biscuits & gravy, hash browns and toast. Everything was delicious. Now we will for sure have to go back and try their lunch which also looks great from the pictures I've seen!
Really great service and the atmosphere is very country and comforting. Things here have an old feel to them, even the food. Grandma's house. Worth coming to. The cinnamon rolls are soft and buttery, but you may want to ask for less icing on them.
This is one of Boise's best kept secrets! I graduated from Borah high school 40 years ago and never even knew it existed. But it did! Scratch made food from a small kitchen. Danielle and Ryan are awesome people and the wait staff is fantastic. I am positive if you come here you will not be disappointed! And yes...I do work here with pride
One of the very last mom n pop breakfast joints left in the Treasure Valley. Food is excellent, service is outstanding, and portions are hearty. Unfortunately, the one drawback is this place is tiny. Get there before the rush or expect very long wait times.
Great hole in the wall for breakfast. Small place so you may have to wait if they're busy. Best eggs Benedict with several varieties. Massive breakfast burrito or just the basics.
As always, we were met with an immediate greeting and told to grab seats wherever we wanted. Quickly came over w/menus and asked what we wanted to drink. We ordered their luscious cinnamon roll for starters and the other 5 to go for Thanksgiving treat. (Their rolls are lg enough for 2 or 3 to share.) We also split the chicken fried steak & eggs, perfectly cooked with piping hot coffee that is always good. (Topped off several times thru meal.) Portions are enormous! Go check out the Chef's Hut merch too! Hilarious shirts and hand thrown ceramic mugs!
Legit place for breakfast! Hard to find but worth the trouble. Excellent coffee, attentive service and the small plate option was a perfect choice to sample a few things without being overly full! If I'm ever back in Boise, it's a must.
We've been wanting to try this establishment for quite some time and finally went. Not too hard to find. Worth the drive. Parking is a little tight. GREAT food, extensive menu, awesome friendly service and atmosphere. This is a very small café so please be patient. Limited seating. Food takes a little longer to come out of the kitchen but well worth the wait. We'll be back again!
Found this place online as one of the best breakfasts in Boise. Now, every time I am in Boise, for the last 5+ years it is the only place I go because it's that good!!
I have not had a bad meal here yet!!
If you haven't been to this amazing hidden treasure, you should go today. The food is amazing, the staff is amazing. Everything they make for breakfast and lunch is beyond amazing!
It's worth the effort to find this lovely place. It's in an industrial park and not easily noticeable from the street. Home style cooking with all the usual dishes. Dine in, takeout and patio dining. I'm always looking for places where my chihuahuas can accompany me. They welcome your pet and will even provide a water dish. Great food, cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make for a terrific experience.
Food was ok. The service was exceptional though. The staff is more than just nice, they are super friendly. Good spot to sit for a long breakfast with the fellas
Incredible food. Friendly Staff. It is a very popular place so don't be in a hurry if you go at a busy time as it has a small dining room and the wait for a table can be a while.
The menu sounded good so we decided to give this place a try. This visit didn't hit the spot for me. I ordered the chili omlet with hashbrowns and French toast. Omlet was ok. French toast was eggy/soggy and bland. My family likes them crispy. I asked for my French toast and omlet to have no cheese or butter. I looked at the hashbrown and it seemed to be drowning in butter. I've never had that happen at breakfast restaurants so I didn't think to ask for butterless hashbrowns. I asked someone if they did and she said yes so I didn't get to eat them.
My husband and I came here for the first time and we loved the food. My husband got the stuffed French toast with hash browns and I got the chicken and waffles with biscuits and gravy😋
This little hole in the wall is where you go for cookin like Grandma use to make. Friendly and fast service. Only ever tried Breakfast and it has always been yummy.
The food is great! If you haven’t eaten here you are sincerely missing out on one of the best meals you will have.
The food is definitely worth the wait. Really good food, great service, friendly staff. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Very comfortable and family friendly. Even though it is harder to find because of the location being in a business center off Cole and Franklin it was definitely worth hunting it up. Food was good and most normal breakfast options were there. I had an Denver omelette. Mmm. I was considering pork chop and eggs. I definitely recommend you give it a try.
Friendly staff, cute little quite restaurant tucked away if you’re looking for quality food check out this place.
Phenomenal food and service. My dad and I have been having breakfast together here for years and it has become a very special place for us.
We found this place by accident. What a wonderful wonderful surprise! A very small place but worth the five or ten minute wait for a table to clear out before you can sit down. The staff is genuine and friendly. Not the high pitched fakeness you find at other restaurants. (You know what I mean... How are Yooou todaaaay? ) Biscuits and gravy delicious. Scrambled eggs cooked to perfection, hash browns with just the right crispness! Bacon done to perfection and lots of it. Coffee bold and wonderful. I really don't want other people to find this gem because it is so fantastic. But if you happen to find it... enjoy!
Had some time to kill so stop by for some breakfast. Great atmosphere, service and Mom and Pop fill. I fully recommend this location.
This is such a great place, I love everything about it. The menu has a lot of overlap with a classic diner back in Brooklyn or Jersey, but streamlined to the point where I want to eat every single thing on that menu. Maybe best of all, it is a local business ran by very nice people. The food is so good, and the prices reasonable, the atmosphere laid back and friendly. I love that they offer half-portions because you get a lot of food. Really kind staff, and they never hurry you in there. Everytime I visit my family in Boise it's the very first place we go, even straight off the plane this last time :-)
Amazing breakfast and had to start with one of their prefect cinnamon rolls. Life's short eat dessert first. The rest is breakfast was equally as perfect. Will be going back for sure.
Visited this little gem on one of the busiest breakfast/brunch days of the yr & it was fantastic. The gravy on their biscuits was one of the most flavorful I've had in Boise & the biscuit itself was super tender. My daughters pancake was big & fluffy, breakfast burritos were huge, they have a few puzzles, crayons & coloring pages in the entry way for kids. Coffee & drinks were always refilled before the cups were emptied. Really great friendly service. We'll be back for sure.
This is a legit breakfast spot if you like homemade breakfasts. Small a quaint, food is very good, highly recommend.
Chef Huts is the best. Great food, great service. Highly recommend. Have never been disappointed.
A burrito the size of my head? Yes please. Seriously though, good prices, great food, nice service. I had a wonderful time with everything. The cinnamon roll as a starter was the perfect idea. Pretty good and was definitely fresh. I ordered a basic breakfast burrito because you know if the burrito is good everything else should be. It was amazing, the bacon and chorizo was delicious.
A friend got the chicken fried chicken, it was a great texture, taste, and all around good time. I recommend them for sure! Its nice that they are in kinda an industrial park because its a new place to be and its really honestly comfortable. 10/10 or in the words of Google 5 stars.
Fantastic food with a varied menu. Chicken fried steak was especially divine! Easy on/off from highway for road trip stops or on the way to work.
Small amount of seating, but the foods never been disappointing. Always prepared to order! Well more than enough sizes of helpings.
I love Chef's hut! Great food, fair prices and great atmosphere
What more could you ask for? :-)
I got the gut buster burrito, wayyyy too much food
Loved this place, cute little mom and pop place tucked away. Food portions were plenty, loved the service. Definitely a place to try.
Outstanding breakfast and lunch spot! The burgers and sandwiches are great, as are the breakfast items. Good service too!
We love breakfast here 😊. Plan to have a wait time. They are a small nook and very popular.
3 stars because we come here all the time for breakfast and it's usually fantastic (if it were based solely on today's experience, it would be 1 star). Today, we decided to try their lunch and it was less than stellar. It took half an hour for cold-dry (and I do mean dry. There was hardly a smudge of mayo) sandwiches, and it wasn't even busy. We had to ask twice for fry sauce. Didn't receive napkins, so when I went up to grab some from the front counter (there aren't any on tables), the woman acted like I had committed a cardinal sin and grabbed them away so I had to ask for another for my husband. At that point, we decided to ask for boxes to take our food home, as there was no way we would impose for more mayo after that. I'll be back again for breakfast, but this was probably our first and last attempt for lunch.
Such a cute, homey breakfast diner where you'd never imagine to see it. Very good food.
Went to try their breakfast for the first time ever this past Friday, around 11. For a lot of restaurants, this a risky time due to being almost lunch for most so I was torn between the two food groups...(there are four food groups, right? Breakfast, lunch, dinner and 45 minutes after last call at the club :-*)
Anyway I went with biscuits and gravy, just in the mood...and dang! I was very impressed when my perfectly baked fluffy biscuit, NOT DRY, YES!!! laden with THE Best sausage gravy I have had in Boise... I am pretty sure they use bacon fat and butter in the roux, and double pork in anything is a no-brainer. Oink!
Service was awesome, smiling faces, pleasant and homey atmosphere, food was served promptly and piping hot...can't wait to try the corned beef hash next time...only thing I would add is the quarters are a little tight when it gets busy but good news, no annoying music to talk over that I can recall so, just sounded like breakfast at Gramma's house.
Awesome fresh food! Great service and super cute decor! Definitely worth a stop! Breakfast rocks here!
Breakfast with coworkers, always good food and fast, friendly service.
Husband & I tried out the Chefs Hut for breakfast, only one complaint. Kinda my fault, ask for crispy bacon & it was very crispy but, still good. I had the stuffed French Toast with scrambled eggs. It was delicious!! Hubby had the Huts Skillet. Food portions were huge. Husband biscuit & gravy were to die for!! I give it 10 out of 10. We will definitely be back!! Service & atmosphere were very enjoyable. Had a couple of ducks outside that they put food out for, too.
Good food and service for breakfast. A little hard to find. Mostly regular customers.
Absolutely the best place to get breakfast in Boise. The staff here are incredible, and the food is delicious, and it has an old small town breakfast diner feel to it. After all, they've been around for almost 50 years.
It's my favorite restaurant in town and really friendly people and food is awesome too. I'm glad the restaurant still hear. Thank you, The Chef's Hut give guys with Big A+ and with 10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ too.
A little bit of a wait during busy hours, but great food and friendly staff.
Small place tucked away, kind of well hidden within a conglomeration of many small businesses. Somewhat difficult to locate this place even with using Google maps! But with some persistence we found it and we were very happy we took the time to circle around and find it. It's a tiny diamond in the rough. The food was great! The service outstanding and very friendly. It doesn't give off the feeling of a pristine, squeaky clean restaurant but it isn't dirty at all nor does it give off the flavor of a dive diner. It's a nice atmosphere and there are also tables outside but no heaters to compensate the cold temps this time of year. Definitely going back to this hard to find little gem. Let's keep this one our secret or it'll become way crowded.
Good food hash browns done right. The omelette was overflowing with goodness, but my girlfriend didn't enjoy the American cheese in it. Great biscuits and lovely gravy. Very well done pancake, lightly toasted and crisp on the outside and fluffy middle. My girlfriend thought she was so hungry she needed to order 2 meals. The eggs Benedict was on point with delicious, yet not over powering cheese sauce. I would also add, while the wait staff was very busy, they were on drinks and very good service. The place has limited seating and gets very busy as it is a local go-to spot. We were seated quickly because we were there before 9 on a Saturday. Many after us had to wait 20-30 minutes but I think that they'd agree that it was worth it. just do it
WOW!! Super cute, nostalgic restaurant! Great coffee, super yummy pancakes and the biggest yummiest breakfast burrito EVER! Do yourself a favor and go here for a real breakfast!
Awesome cozy little dinner! Friendly and quick staff. We had lunch here on a Friday and the place filled up quick. The Philly cheese steak was delicious and it came with a generous helping of tater tots.
Best breakfast place in Boise hands down. It's very small inside but that's part of it's charm. I always get my food to-go because of social anxiety but everytime I go in there, they remember my name and make me feel very welcome. I wish I had a place like this where I live. It's a must try if you're in the area.
5 years ago this was a great place to go to, today not so much.
Breakfast:
Hash browns: over cooked, couldn't cut with the fork
Bacon: thin and over cooked.
Toast: tasted like Poi......
Absolutely fabulous! Breakfast is great (update: not so much anymore), but it stops there, French dips are hideous and BLT's, well you could chip a tooth!
Omg. My beloved-sassy-southern- grandmother would not appreciate the stiff competition! Feel-good delectable old-fashioned breakfast! Huge portions with a fun-loving atmosphere.
An old fashion diner with great service and great food. We had a wonderful breakfast.
We always love our breakfasts at Chefs Hut. Just a word of warning:Don't go there if you are in a hurry. Great menu, everything you could possibly want!
I love this place and their food! The gals give the best service and the cinnamon rolls are excellent.
Excellent breakfast food and great prices. Hard to find a better value than this. A wonderful hole in the wall just like you like it! 5 Stars!
The best breakfast in Boise, hands down. Get the hut scramble - it is seasoned sooo well you don’t need any sauces!!
Great hidden gem in Boise, good food, awesome staff, funny polite, very accommodating. Its busy, but in just the right way, we waited for about 10 minutes for a table. But most people were sat right away, we just caught one of those moments. If you have a large party, call them in advance.
Haven’t been here in a long time since I don’t live in the area anymore. This morning I decided to drop in. Great decision!!! Just as good as ever, more than generous portions, and the coffee never ran low! Excellent food and equally fantastic service!! Totally worth the hunt if you’ve never been here!!
Always a great breakfast and a positive experience. The staff is always so friendly and they all seem to be happy to be there. Because of that this small, seemingly misplaced, diner has a great vibe. It’s always awesome to get a good helping of food for your soul with your breakfast. Eateries should take a page from the “Chef’s Hut” book and realize that a good restaurant experience is more than just good food. 🙏
Best breakfast food! They also have good fries. It's a small place but its welcoming. I appreciate that they have high chairs for babies.
Best omelette I’ve ever had. Hard to find but worth the look.
Have you ever not wanted to review a place because it’s so good you don’t want everyone to find out?
I’ve been going here for awhile. They’re always cool, friendly and the food is pretty good too. Be patient because it’s worth the wait sometimes. Don’t come here with 7 adults and 4 children. Go to IHOP or Denny’s with that nonsense.
The people are very happy and polite. The food was wonderful and plentiful.
(2 + meals 👍🏼)
Very positive Vibe, I Will definitely be returning!
Love this place so much, great atmosphere and amazing happy staff. And of course the food is hella good ✌️🖤
A nice out-of-the-way place. Breakfast all day, good Rubens, and fries. It is located in a business campus and is seldom crowded.
Never had a bad meal here. Service is attentive and wonderful. Prices are great too.
We visit Chefs Hut most weekends. They're always very friendly and the food has never disappointed us. The servers are so personable and they'll remember you if you've been in a few times. I've recommended them to nearly everyone I know and will continue to do so.
Always so good!!
Love this little vintage restaurant.
Fun little hole-in-the-wall place. Great food and service!
Amazing food at fair prices. Totally hidden, but a gem none the less.
I love The Chef's Hut. The food is simple and delicious and the vibe is sincere. Lately my wife and I enjoy a breakfast here at least one weekend a month. It's a perfect hole-in-the-wall, breakfast oriented diner for those who appreciate a classic, no frills experience.
We had such an awesome family breakfast here. Great Food great customer service and it was super fast. We will definitely be back
I had an awesome omelet here this morning. It was one of the specials of the day. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, it felt like a country cafe. Very cozy and inviting, felt a little nostalgic about my whole experience. The food came out relatively fast and the waitress kept checking in on us. Can't wait for my next visit back.
I love Chef’s Hut! Their location is hidden but very cozy, the food has never been anything less than fantastic, and their coffee is SO good. The service has also been stellar everytime I’ve gone. Also-both times I’ve been there for breakfast was a Saturday morning-absolutely no wait time for tables!
I have eaten in many breakfast cafe's but... this was hands down THE BEST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN! The food was the most you can get for your buck AND you could taste the authentic love in the food (fkn delicious if you didn't catch my drift). The atmosphere was genuine, the staff made you feel at home and I'm an outer towner who's first time was today. Would recommend, 10/10!
Been meaning to come here for ages, and so glad I finally did! I had a chorizo breakfast burrito, which was enormous and delicious! Staff was friendly, enjoyed the vintage decor. Will be back!
Good comfort food. Good service. One server for the place, and still great service. Sometimes a grill place will put lots of salt in their food. Not this place. And everything was tasty. We had the Model A and the hash. Sour dough and biscuit as sides
Good to the last bite.
A reviewer posted that it's difficult to find and tucked away in a business park. Maybe due to that reviewer, but we found that there was good signage. And perhaps we pointedly looked harder. Just a bit of a walk for parking. Worth it.
The food is always good but their stove is rather small and it's sometimes slow.
Excellent food and service. I had the chicken fried chicken and it was superb. The place looks like a dirty little diner but don't go for the atmosphere. Go for the food.
A best kept secret of wonderful breakfast & luncheon fare. I love the sequestered location, service, and 'down home atmosphere. Add this establishment to your list!
The food is great but the wait is very long. It is a tiny place with very nice and friendly staff. The kitchen is tiny so going on the weekends will take a long time. The portions are generous. We will return, but not on the weekends.
I eat breakfast here essentially everyday they are open during the week. They basically make it so I can survive through my day. I can't recommend the stuffed French toast more then anything else with bacon and eggs. Omg can't wait to call them in the morning im already salivating in anticipation. Matter of fact I'm gonna go to bed now so I can wake up and call them. It can get pretty busy thats why it's always best to call and order roughly half hour to 20 minutes early and boom it'll be ready for you hot and delicious 😋. They have dine in as well there's so many regulars it makes for a great environment as well. Check it out you won't be disappointed. Talk to you in morning Chef's hut, think tommrow I'll do biscuits and gravey and the stuffed French toast for lunch.
Driven past many times, decided to try it out this morning for the first time. Glad I did. A hole-in-the-wall but with a busy atmosphere, it took about 40 minutes to get my order, though perhaps this was because I had pork chops. Coffee actually tasted like coffee, and were it not for how long it took, this would be a 5 star review. I'll be back to give them another chance to earn that one, and I have a feeling it won't be difficult.
BEST BREAKFAST BURRITOS IN BOISE!!! We were so impressed and every single bite I took had melted cheese. It was just amazing and they were so big!!! We will be back! Thank you
Great food and great staff! Been living in Boise for almost 22 years and I never stopped to eat here till today. It is the best. It will be my new breakfast place to go to.
Chicken fried steak burrito was delicious.
The food was great for the price. Cinnamon rools looked massive and amazing so we stayed away from them. Our coffee was always topped off and the staff made sure of it. Great service and great food.
First time ever going to The Chef's Hut for breakfast & Loved it.I will definitely be going back & re- commending to friends. 👍 …
Best greasy spoon breakfast in town.
Amazing local cafe. They are a fantastic place for brunch!!!! Anytime I am in Boise I always go here. I always look forward to returning!!!!!!!!
Alittle expensive for what you get but great otherwise. I will go back though.
Amazing Breakfast!! We spilt the eggs Benedict, cinnamon roll ( this is a MUST try) and a blueberry pancake. Service was Fantastic! We will definitely be back!!
Staff are friendly and the food is good. Great place to relax and eat lunch after working out. I usually go in an hour before closing and the food is fresh and I've never felt rushed.
VERY Good food. Chicken fried steak cooked to perfection. Hollandaise sauce was great. Small hole in the wall place. Server was great. We called ahead of time to check seat availability and wait times but to make it clear, it's FCFS.
A lovely, quaint Cafe with outdoor seating. I was greeted immediately upon entry, despite how busy they were, and was treated wonderfully. The food was fantastic too! I'll definitely come back for more breakfast goodness!
Amazing. I had breakfast and was filling. Customer service was wondering and the atmosphere was homey.
Best little gem on the bench for breakfast. Anything and everything on their menu is incredible! Also, if you don't get a cinnamon roll you will surely regret it. Literally the best cinnamon roll I have ever had EVERRR.
Stopped in for a quick lunch and loved it! Delicious country scramble and got 2 cinnamon rolls to go. The rolls are close to perfection. Excellent service.
Had the model A breakfast. Relieved prompt and friendly service. Good food and prepared to my request. Love this place!
It was like being at grandma's home for breakfast and that's a good thing. Our waitresses was so friendly and helpful, our food was delicious and the serving size was nice and large. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table for 6 but it was worth the wait
Very much at home great service and food. Chicken fried steak is awesome. A little out of the way to find. But worth it. GPS it.
Local hole in the wall mom and pops restaurant with a whole variety of comfort foods. With some healthy options. Keto friendly options and some gluten free as well. Great prices and homey atmosphere.
The food is always well prepared and tastes great, there is a welcoming and friendly environment and the staff are always prompt and polite. Last time I ate there they were unable to make the Waffle I had ordered and were able to replace it with French Toast (which was delicious). Even though they provided a quick replacement from what I had ordered, I was not charged for my meal. There is a reason why this place has been in business for as long as it has. Go check them out!!!!
Delicious food and generous portions. Staff is also very kind and attentive. An excellent place for breakfast and lunch!
Service was a little slow today, but otherwise great
Awesome breakfast dive. Move over sunrise Cafe, this place is a diamond in the rough in the breakfast world. I lived near by for years before I realized it was there. The place can only seat 20 or so people at once but if you can get in there it's a real treat.
The food was really good. The servers were friendly. The speed of service is what I would expect since they had no open tables. It was a little slower than some places, but totally worth the wait.
I love this place! We're from out of town and only stayed a couple days. Came here two days in a row. First time had the veggie omelet with biscuit's and gravy. Had a side of sausage. They make their own sausage which I loved! Second time i had the breakfast sandwich on a crossaint. The hashbrowns are soooo good! Just the way I like them. The main waitress (which I'm sad i didn't get her name) was amazing and hospitable. There was another waitress who was there on Friday was equally as nice! It was entertaining watching those two while sitting at the counter hearing them talk shop while working at the same time. As those home made cinnamon rolls were staring at me i refrained from getting one because i was full but they looked so good. We're coming back here everytime we visit! Worth the wait and the hype!
Chef's hut is one of the best places to go if you're looking for that hometown feel breakfast Cafe. It's very small inside which makes it more intimate. they have the same waitresses I'm very consistent food. Well worth the wait if they are busy.
If you have Anxiety disorder don't go. The tables are close together and there's no privacy. If you like feeling as if you're part of a neighborhood then this place is certainly for you. The food was decent and if large portion size is important, than the breakfast burrito is right up your alley...huge. As with most places there are pluses and minuses, so you'll have to check it out and decide for yourself. I'd say 'average/+' for our experience.
Waitress was sooo nice. Serving size(plentiful), price, and flavor were on point. Loved it! Great little breakfast diner.
Absolutely wonderful. Great waitress and an amazing cook. I can't put in words how much my boyfriend and I live this little place. If you enjoy a quiet location where you can smell the food from feet away you'll love this place. Eggs Benedict is just devine. Thank you!
I remembered this being a great price for awesome food a many years ago and was excited to take my family. Everything was ok, but not quite as good as I remembered. The ticket price was high. This is not a cheap place to eat anymore. We were charged extra for things like salsa on our eggs. I get it, but we spent a lot of money there, and it felt like we were overcharged. They were kind and the place is unique, but we won't soon be back. I will make my own breakfast and eat at 2 other places and still save more. Still an experience to be had- but man, it's sooo different than it was a few years back.
This place was amazing...the service, the food, the people. It felt like I was having breakfast with friends and family. Don't sleep on the cinnamon rolls!
Best chicken fried steak and eggs in the morning. My favorite is their every day homemade $2.99 cinnamon rolls. The people at The Chiefs Hut are Awesome.
The food was really good nice people
Sweet little diner and their breakfast was AMAZING. Hash browns perfectly crispy and their eggs Benedict was delicious. A friend got the gut buster burrito and it’s so die for. Excellent place, excellent service, will definitely come back.
Delicious, fast, quality food that hits the spot every time. Employees are personable and accommodating. Recommend and Love! Love! Love! P.S. The coffee cups are a staple in our home.
Ordered a 10 count of the cinnamon rolls for our Christmas Eve Brunch and they were absolutely delicious. So glad we found you.
Always good food and big portions hadn't been here g or awhile was disappointed that they didn't have fruit cups any more.
Locally owned and operated!! Will always support our hometown businesses!
And it is easy with this little hole in the wall eatery,it has charm, great food and the staff is amazing!! Shelly is one of my favorite!! Glad she is back!!
Great food, great quiet comfortable atmosphere. I knew it would be good when I walked in and saw quite a few good ol boys eating breakfast and having coffee, it's a sign of a great place. There's a reason you've been around since 74. I'm glad I braved Cole road construction to find you guys.
We always enjoy ourselves at the Chef’s Hut. Everything we’ve tried on the menu is delicious, they keep the coffee coming, and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The small environment makes you feel like it’s an intimate experience with the others in the restaurant, like you’ve discovered a secret club only you and the other patrons know about. The Secret Aardvark hot sauce is awesome. This is one of our favorite breakfast spots in Boise and we would recommend them to anyone.
They have a small kitchen, so be ready to wait 20-35 minutes during peak hours, but the food is that old school diner style breakfast. Lots of food. Not the BEST breakfast food but they make up for that in quantity and price. This is the perfect hangover spot. Youll need a nap after
I consider this a "best in the world" find.
The eggs Benedict were world-class as was the family-service.
Tucked away in my home town,...I wish I'd known it was there.
The best place for breakfast. Great location and the staff are always very friendly and welcoming
Chef's Hut is a great little (tiny!) out of the way diner! Danielle does it right! Biscuits and gravy, The Eye Opener (w/ chorizo, please!), Coconut french toast, the mushroom Swiss burger, it's all great! Service may be slow at peak times, but be patient! Well worth a visit!
Absolutely The Best breakfast in Boise! The dining area is small, the staff is awesome, the taste is amazing and the prices somehow got stuck in the 80's (Shhhh...don't tell them). Every time I take someone there, "Wow, I didn't know about this place." And they rave about it, as I always do, and as you will.
One of my fav breakfast joints in Boise. Its a little tough to find, but the food is great and i love how its just a little hole in the wall type joint. highly recommend!
It's hidden, but really, really worth finding. The breakfast burrito gave me a food comma, I devoured it and was very pleased.
It's my first visit to the Chefs Hut. I had the chorizo burrito. It was excellent. The staff was super friendly. There was no waiting line to get in which was awesome. I got my food super quick which I greatly appreciated. I will tell everyone I know about this place. 5 stars for sure!
The Chef's Hut is my husband and my favorite breakfast place and we can't wait to get old(er) and be the cute couple who has eaten there since the 2010's! The food is delicious, service is friendly, customers are fun. Best breakfast in Boise!
Great diner. Great food. I had the Spanish omelette, home fries and Rye toast. The home fries came with mushrooms and onions and really complimented the omelette well. The breakfast burritos got high praise from the 2 in our party who had them. The coffee was excellent. Breakfast for 5 was $65-ish (well worth it) and our server Kyrsta(?) took great care of us. Loved the kitchy, nostalgic diner decor (see pictures).
Everytime we have come here the food, atmosphere, and staff have been amazing. I come here often and recommend it all the time.
Absolutely amazing food and amazing staff. They all perform and execute excellence. By far the best and most consistent breakfast in Boise. All of the others are no longer an option for me as I only want the best served with a smile. 👍👍 …
Always a good experience. If you like a mom and pops place, this is it. I would suggest not going before 10:00. There are only 5-6 tables and a counter if you don’t want to wait. We have never waited after 10.
Chefs Hut was a delightful surprise of A find. I am relatively new to the Boise area and had not heard of Chefs Hut in three years of residence here. A local legend with excellent service and portions that would surprise a Texas visitor. With down home cooking that tastes like your favorite hometown restaurant, you will be delighted to make Chefs Hut a regular stop when your are in the Boise area.
This place is the only place for breakfast in Boise. The chef is masterful at his craft. The wait staff is patient, kind and helpful with suggestions. If you are unfamiliar with the menu. Lounge for a coffee date. Or take you ole lady out for the perfect bite to eat early in the morning, when she doesn't want to cook. Love love love the chef's hut.
A small older facility with consistently good food and service. They have outdoor dining in season. Portions are often enough for a second meal.
Just plain good food and healthy portions
What a great little hole in the wall. Our family loved this place. Their chicken fried steak was Da Bomb. Place is a bit small but we were able to sit outside right away. Staff was friendly and food was fast and DELICIOUS.
This place was excellent. Small hole in the wall, great breakfast. Service was almost too kind and accommodating. Chicken fried chicken was choice
Love this place! I usually go for the country fried steak, but the pancakes are amazing too. And the service is always friendly. All for a great price! Check this place out if you want a great breakfast!
I've been driving by the sign for thirty years and decided to try it out and I'm glad I did.
Great food and a friendly staff, very much like home. We will be going back soon.
It maybe a small place to eat at, but the food is pretty great for a decent price. Had the Chicken Fajita Omelet with hashbrowns and toast. Pretty darn good but the chicken wasn't seasoned right but no biggie for me. Customer service was great.
Showed up at 6am after a terrible start to a Sunday and this place was just what the doctor ordered. Good coffee, and awesome hashbrowns. I had eggs Benedict, the hollandaise was well made, eggs perfectly poached, and tasty ham.
This place is tucked back a bit further than maps would have you believe so follow the sign posted at the entrance to the parking lot and you may have to wander a bit.
Great place to eat! Service is excellent and food is great. Saturday morning is not the best time to go with a large group. The owner has a great sense of humor!
One of the best breakfast places in Boise. Hidden and not where you think a restaurant would be but great food and service. Their bacon and meats are delicious and thickcut. Also has gluten free bread which most places don't seem to have which is awesome for those that don't eat gluten.
We were there on june 18th with a senior group, service was fast, waitress was friendly and efficient. Had the the chiliburger was very good. Definitely reccommend this little place. Loved all the little knick, knacks💛 …
I really enjoy this place. One of Boise's best kept secrets. What I like about the place, besides the nice sized portions, is the atmosphere. Nothing cookie cutter about the place. More the old time good American feel.
My first time at The Chef's Hut was awesome. The waitress on shift was super friendly and helpful. I ordered the eggs benedict, which was soo good. I'm not too much of a heavy sauce person, so next time I would just order the sauce on the side... but other than that it was great. Love how it is family owned. Would recommend to anyone.
Went for breakfast. I have to say was not disappointed. The coffee was nice n strong unlike resturants in anchorage ak who give u the weakest cup of joe. The breakfast itself was great. Our waitress was friendly and the cooks make the food u want it. Especially the eggs. I wanted over hard and they made it exactly. I will recommend thos cafe to friends and family.
Literal hole in the wall. This place doesn’t seem to belong where it is but it’s worth the adventure. Good good good employees good atmosphere. Small tip share a burrito they are huge!
Great service , awesome staff. And the food was the best. Will definitely return.
Always our favorite place to eat breakfast! The owner is the kindness person you'd ever meet. Food is fresh, hot and fabulous! Definitely worth seeking this place out!!!
Great little diner! Food is amazing, good sized portions, service make you feel at home. One of my favorite places
Favorite place to go in town for breakfast 😋 …
Great little place, atmosphere was amazing and the portion size is great. Also mind-blowingly good cinnamon rolls and friendly staff!
Good atmosphere, great food for decent prices. Definitely a hidden gem. Reminds me of a mom and pop joint from my childhood. A huge selection of food and drinks. Has a cute nap of the world from where everyone that comes through.
Great tucked-away brunch spot with amazing hash browns! I ordered the Eggs Florentine and the eggs were poached perfectly. My friend also loved her veggie omelet.
I look at the past review of this quaint place and I must say as a very frequent customer that the fun, friendly atmosphere in combination with great food, this is a must go. Thanks Dwayne & Brandon and the servers Danielle (owner) and Crystal and Brian, your team is what makes The Chef's Hut so wonderful. Over the years, we have really seen this business flourish.
Excellent breakfast spot in Boise!
If you're visiting stop by!
I was very impressed and satisfied with the food, the portions and the service. I would highly recommend dining here. I had an omelet and it was enough for me for two meals.
If you want the comforts of grandma's house without the cheek pinching, this place is perfect. The food is fantastic and the service is great. The French toast is so good you'll want to French kiss it.
This place tho
Awesome service
Awesome food
Awesome atmosphere
Awesome prices
Hidden gem
Don't mess it up
I love you
Friendly place. Attentive wait.staff. kept our glasses filled, and checked on us often. Good combinations of taste in the omelet, gravy smothered hashbrowns are tasty. Hard to find location, but worth it.
Awesome little mom and pop shop !! They been open since 74' and it shows why ! Great food nice employees and good prices. If you are looking for breakfast go here!
A bit of a wait at the door but overall the chefs hut lives up to its popularity. friendly service and a warm cozy atmosphere. I recommend the breakfast burger "nates way" for brunch.
Great place, great food and Great service. Atmosphere is a throwback to the 50's. Warm inviting and relaxing. Highly recommend this cute little place tucked in off Cole and Franklin Rd. Look for signs to head to this treasure tucked away.
Wonderful... Been driving by for months and always wanted to try it. Finally grabbed some co-workers to go eat for lunch and was just as expected...amazing!!! Great filling food with a home atmosphere. Will be back again!
One of my favorite places..
Friendly staff and good food.
Traveling through? Definitely stop at this place. Mom and pop style cafe. The waitress was super nice, her good mood put us in a good mood. Great food too!
Their hollandaise is on point. We always get their eggs Benedict florentine and add Canadian bacon or ham. It's served with deliciously crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside perfect hash browns. We have been living right up the street from this hidden little gem for years and now that we've made our way here about 8 months ago it quickly became a favorite! With friendly staff and amazing and friendly patrons, this is a great place for a family breakfast! Surpasses any ihop or other breakfast place by far!! If you're in need of a hangover cure that can feed an army order the gut buster burrito, smothered in country gravy filled with all the breakfast goodies including hash browns! Yum!
Chicken fried chicken for breakfast! Anytime I see chicken on a breakfast menu I just have to try it. Gotta have the hash browns and over easy eggs to go along with the chicken. Try the "secret aardvark" habanero salsa while you're there. Really tasty, not too hot.
Took a minute to find the place but it was worth it. Sevice was excellent and so was the food.
Great food, awesome food and amazing service!
Huge portions! Food is ALWAYS bomb! Great prices!
Delicious hole in the wall cafe. Can get busy, but the service and food are always great.
I always eat here at least once while visiting Boise!
It was a quiet and tucked away spot that makes you feel like you have vanished from the city, and have gone into a small Idaho town on vacation. There staff is friendly and it's a perfect place for families, and couples to go for a peaceful bite to eat.
Great food and amazing service!
I googled breakfast near me and I was a bit sceptical when we pulled into an empty business park on Sunday morning. BOY, was I surprised! Delicious food and fun atmosphere. I wish I lived closer so I could be a regular.
Excellent food service and price. Its kind of hidden in a office complex.
This place has amazing food! The staff was very friendly and attentive even though they were extremely busy. Highly recommend!
Always good and awesome staff.
My 1st pick always for Breakfast or lunch
This is the best can't find hole in the wall restaurant you'll ever eat at. I love it! Fair price for the amount and quality of the food! The only negative is if you get caught there while they are busy you're gonna be there a while.
Great home cooked food. Cant go wrong as long as you dont mind a wait during busy times.
The best kept secret of the Boise breakfast world. The portions are amazing for the low prices. The owner and staff are amazing, I always have a good time whenever I visit.
This Cafe (breakfast and lunch only) is hard to find due to the construction going on on Cole, but it was worth the driving around until we found it! I had a grilled sandwich that was very tasty with the homemade potato salad, that was so creamy and flavorful!!!
As a business owner in the service industry I absolutely love the experience of excellent service. At The Chefs Hut I enjoyed the best Chicken Fried Steak and top notch service I’ve had in a very long time. Thank you!
Odd location, but great little breakfast spot.
I am all things coconut (grew up on Guam and lived next to a coconut grove, so I LOVE coconut). Of course, l I would order the toasted coconut French toast. I've tried coconut French toast in many different places and The Chef's Hut's version is, by far, THE BEST I've ever had! Just, YUM!
Their motto is accurate.
Get a great start to your day at our hard to find cafe.
The eggs Benedict was baseball's and the server is super nice!!! The ice tea is super good too!!!! I would give this place 20 out of 5 stars if I could! It's ammmmazzzing....
Great place to eat the eggs and sausage
We are visiting from Texas and try to find great local places to eat. The food is scratch made and very good. The service was great and they are super friendly. Highly recommend!
Such a warming place to eat almost feels like your visiting family. The environment is cozy & the employees are down to earth. The food is affordable & super good.
Great food. Excellent staff. Nice place to relax and chill with friends and or family! TX
Don't blink when you drive by or you'll miss this hole in the wall gem of a restaurant. Top 10 breakfasts in the Boise area.
Love the service and the food! An amazing little place to go get breakfast! I recommend the breakfast burrito, it is the size of a baby! So good, it fed me for two days!!!
Incredible food. Order a breakfast dish. Very friendly people.
My photo is the daily special. Omelette with bacon, green chile, pepperkack and avocado. I added sausage as well.
Love this place! Hard to find but they offer good food and a friendly atmosphere. Try the chicken fried steak for breakfast, its awesome..
Breakfast is oh so good! Cozy little place. We've always enjoyed our meals dining in and take out.
Everyone is incredibly helpful and cheerful!
Food was amazing, fresh ingredients! Comes out super fast. And some of the best hash browns around!!
Small intimate breakfast spot. Big portions, hot coffee, and amazing cinnamon rolls.
Everybody there is so friendly and nice what a comfort and a home town feeling will always go back awesome people awesome food
We love this hidden gem! Get there early on weekends because we're not the only ones who love it. Food is typical American breakfast and lunch fare. Service is fast and friendly.
This place has continually been a pleasing experience. The prices have gone up over the past few years but the food is so well done that it's definitely worth it. Worth checking out!

Excellent food, great price and good service. I will definitely be returning.
Small restaurant, very good food and friendly staff. This is a great place to grab some food!!
Incredibly delicious food! The waitress was top notch and so personable... very quick service! Did I mention the fantastic food!
Great food and staff! Not so sure why there are so many negative reviews, I've loved everything I had there. I recommend the Chicken Fried Steak, it's my favorite so far!

Biggest breakfast burrito i had ever seen, pretty tasty too. Friendly staff, great food, nice atmosphere. Thumbs up
Local, great food will return!
Unbelievably good breakfast and a super friendly atmosphere!
Our favorite breakfast place in the world! Always delicious and friendly, never had anything bad!
Out of the way place, ,amazing, food, fast service by very great staff. Danielle and Rich take good care of their customers.
Great little spot for tasty breakfast food. Not the healthiest or most glamorous but great service and homey atmosphere!
Pssst it's a hidden secret. Locals know how to find this little gem of a cafe. Eggs Benedict, huge cinnamon rolls, chicken fried steak and eggs. Plus vegetarian options, too.
Kind of like Idaho, I'd kind of like to keep this place a secret but their food deserves recognition for it's great taste and value. The staff are welcoming and efficient.
Absolutely love this place. I have only gone there one time and I feel like it is home. Good food, friendly service, and a wonderful atmosphere.
Everything was delicious and the staff was amazing!
Best breakfast in town! Come early and get the cinnamon rolls or biscuits and gravy! Feels like your mom's kitchen
Great food, great service and very friendly. Well be going there again.
Delicious food for a great value. I have been enjoying The Chef's Hut for years and years - so grateful for this community gem!
Good comfort food. Has a small truck stop dinner vibe. Owner is friendly. Convenient to the office so I eat here at least once a week.
Amazing food. Had the bounding hound omelet and it was delicious. Hash browns were perfectly cooked and service was awesome.
This place is amazing. Cozy, quiet, and really good country gravy
Boise's best kept secret! Most places charge you $3 for half avocado. And they serve spam!
Extremely cozy environment, fabulous service with friendly staff, and top notch food. Highly recommend the cinnamon roll, as well as the Eggs Benedict.
Great little place to eat. Very friendly service and good food. A little hard to find even with Google but it's a great place.
If you like Diners, Drive ins and Dives, this is the place for you. Not much to look at but the food is excellent. You will go back for more.
Wonderful service and amazing food. Best breakfast in town
Always delicious, googles wait times are very incorrect for the weekends
Cozy atmosphere , and great food
The folks who give this place 1 star are like politicians or people who practice yelling at puppies... you shouldn't trust them.
Amazing food, great service, not expensive. What more could you want?
It's a quaint, hard to find place. It's got that classic diner feel to it, and the food is exquisite! You can really tell they put a lot of thought and effort into their food.
Good food and the price was right
Great food… The portions are good sized as well
I loved that the restaurant itself has that small hometown feel to it and the food was as comforting as you would get at Grandma's house. Although small, it's a hidden gem that packs a big punch.
Great food good atmosphere and good service
Best comfort food around! If you want a small town Cafe feel this is the place for you. Their bacon is the best.
wow wow. love this spot. just came for our first time after seeing the sign. split a meal and the split on two plates perfectly, small and great service.
Good food and fast service.
Great food and friendly service, one of my favorite places in Boise for breakfast.
Great food and service. Definitely a hidden gem in Boise.
We dine there once, twice a month. Food and service I give 4.5 stars. Don't be in hurry getting there. Construction on area slows traffic.
My test: Ruben, Eggs Benni, Biscuits and Gravy, Corned Beef Hash.
They did pretty darn good
The best breakfast place in the valley, maybe even all of Idaho. The coconut French toast and egg Benedict are incredible.
Pretty good breakfast scramble. Gravy wasn't anything special. Fast and friendly service in an easy accessible location.
The bacon and avocado eggs Benedict was on point, the coffee was strong, and the service was quick and nice.
The food is delicious and the staff is friendly and efficient. I look forward to Sunday brunch every week!
Great breakfast! Great friendly staff!
Hidden little 'hole in the wall' style dinner. If you can find, you won't be disappointed. I've tried half of the menu so far, while yet to try something I don't like.
Really good food super waitress and a hidden treasure type feel! Highly recommend
Good food place is hard to get to enjoyed our breakfast
Last time I was here, I just had a heart procedure. Was amazing after 13+ hours without eating.
And I love to visit here every time I visit Boise
Chefs hut is great. Best breakfast good price and right down the street from me
Love the service and the cooks cooking awesome place
Delicious food, good portions, excellent prices and great staff. ♥️
The BEST place to eat in Boise! Breakfast or lunch, these guys have the best cook and the best server around.
Great small town cafe feel. Usually a small wait on the weekends but the breakfast is well worth it.
First time. Loved it. Drove past sign for 13 years...big mistake. Oh ya the food is horrible and service is horrible. Don't go there. Leave it for the locals.
Every time I come back to Idaho i always have to stop here for the gut buster breakfast burrito. Just make sure you got time for a nap because your gonna end up in a comma if you don't have someone to split it with
"Hole in the wall" breakfast place, but excellent food, atmosphere, and very friendly people.
Great service even when they were very busy and yummy food
Great food. Good waitress very effective. Could use a clean up on the front entry.
Visited on a gift card. Food was ok and service was slow. Best thing were the onion rings
Wow....what an awesome breakfast.
They could clean up the interior entrance to make it look better & not so cluttered with stuff. The food & service was good.
Food was delishious and service was amazing! I love this little place! Always good food and people!
We were first-timers, but the waitress treated us like family. Great vibe, would recommend!
Great little place for breakfast. Friendly staff and good food and good coffee.
The food here is worth the hunt to get there. Nice little out of the way place with a good atmosphere and a friendly staff.
Love this place! What a fun spot for breakfast, everything is always so delicious. A perfect little dive spot.
Great fast breakfast. Hashbrowns are crazy good. Split our dish in two. Great service.
Long wait for food, but that is to be expected due to covid and short staffing. Great food.
Delicious food and excellent service! You won't regret visiting!
Great local place for breakfast. Friendly staff and good food.
I've been coming here for years.
One of Boise's best breakfast cooks. I like everything he has ever made for me.
I had sausage with a biscuit and gravy and eggs. The sausage was wonderful as were the eggs but the gravy was Bland and very flowery
Still great food and service. Very popular so go during off peak hours
Small place with great breakfast fare!
Ran across this place whilst waiting for my car at the Honda dealer. Fantastic service and fantastic food. Would definitely go back.
Great food. Its changed alot since chef retired, but still a great place to eat.
Great little hole in the wall place for a very tasty breakfast.
Come here often. Love the people, the food, and the vibe of the place. I have to remind my boys there are other places to go eat... 😁 …

This place was awesome. Super reasonable prices, great quality food and fast friendly service.
Great place to grab breakfast, just try and beat the portland hipsters that flood the place around 11
Great breakfast, nice little hole in the wall kind of place. Decent prices.
Always good food and lots of it! You never go away hungry...
Old fashioned kitschy restrant perfect for breakfast and brunch. Friendly atmosphere and staff and good food.
Best breakfast I've had in years.

I've been a big fan of this place for over a decade. Good food with a good crew working there.
Very reasonably priced comfort food. Awesome breakfast!
Fun place to have a meal. Delicious breakfast
For a local hole in the wall diner the food is excellent. It's a little hard to find but definitely worth the search.
Great food, fantastic portios, reminds me of one of Boise's most iconic restaurants Manley's
What a cute place! The food was excellent and the service was friendly. Highly recommend
Awesome food, nice staff, big portions, good price.

Coconut french toast and hashbrowns were fantastic. Great service and prices
What an awesome find! I can't believe I've been driving right by this treasure for years and don't know the delicious food I was missing out on.
This place has been and will always be the best breakfast/brunch place in boise Idaho. (GUT BUSTER IS LIFE)!
Quaint and cozy place nestled deep into a business plaza. No frills decor but the service and food were excellent!
Quick service and great food. Had a delicious breakfast at lunchtime!
What more can I say about a little hole in the wall locally owned gem! Love the staff and glad Shelly is back
Food was bland. Chicken fried steak was tough. Not bad just boring.
Very good food, great service, typical price and cool mugs for sale
Perfect hash browns and very friendly staff. They know they are a little hard to find but hunting them down is worth it.
Fantastic breakfast joint. My favorite 'hidden gem' place to eat!
Really enjoy their food and how the restaurant is tucked away like a secret waiting to be found.
Because it is like coming home. The food is great tasting comfort food and the help remembers and treats you like family.
All around great place to eat with the family. Never fails to satisfy and a friendly environment.
This place is absolutely awesome! Its a little small inside but the food is on point!
We always have great food in this tucked-away location at Cole and Franklin. I highly recommend it.

Good for food good service for what I would consider a old family style restaurant.
Great little diner, really enjoyed it and will be back.
Despite location in an odd office park, ambiance was actually great as well as the staff which were super friendly.

Awesome service, terrific food, great prices!!A must go to restaurant!!!
Always a great choice for breakfast in the treasure valley. Off the beaten path but worth it..
Great breakfast food all day long! The milkshakes are real and the people are friendly.
Small, "hole in the wall' type place. Friendly staff. Generous portions of good food
Great food, super friendly staff every time I stop in!
Great service, excellent food!
The chicken fried steak and the chicken fried chicken are most haves. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.
I've come here a few times now and I think they deserve the 5 stars. Food always exceeds expectations.
Good breakfast! Typically a wait, but worth it.
