Reviews of Fork

Great place to grab Brunch, Lunch or Dinner! Food is always fresh and delicious! Portion sizes are plenty big enough. They offer both gluten free and vegetarian options on the menu. Service has always been friendly and quick every time I have eaten here! I love that their food is locally sourced! Definitely recommend if you are in the area!

Took my wife to Fork for a Valentines date. The food and atmosphere was exceptional. The hosts and wait staff we're friendly and happy, with attentive service to our table (not the case at some places these days). Food was unique, flavorful, and well prepared. Love the fact I can make reservations! Would be great if other restaurants would allow reservations too! Thanks Fork and our waiter Ryan!

FORKing Fantastic!
I was in Boise for a work trip and I needed a good dinner after a long day and stumbled across this place after walking around downtown. I could not have chosen a more delicious place! The drinks were fantastic and the Asparagus appetizer, recommended by a guest, was a perfect start to dinner! With a little crisp and a good crunch paired with a perfect dipping sauce. I ordered the chicken for dinner and I was pleasantly surprised. The chicken was very moist and fresh, paired with some mashed potatoes and carrots.
Next time I am in town…this is definitely a must!

Definitely a good place to visit in Boise. It’s not completely a Italian or French it’s a mixture of cuisines. I tried the fries, asparagus fries, tomato bisque and ravioli. Great food limited options if your vegetarian would recommend checking out the menu before going.
Love the butter cake it’s a little heavy after couple of bites but worth a try. Overall it’s a good place

The Fork is one of my all time favorite restaurants in Boise! It's perfect for brunch, date night, happy hours, you name it! The food is always delicious and I love that they change this menu seasonally. They also get a lot of their ingredients from local vendors which is seriously so amazing!

Had an absolutely awesome dinner here. Fork came recommended to me by the staff of Hotel 43. We sat at the bar. I started dinner with their take on an Old Fashioned that had muddled vanilla bean in it. We had an appetizer of brussel sprouts that were cooked perfectly. I had the Rainbow Trout because I was, well, I’m Idaho. It was excellent. The staff treated us great. All in all a fantastic restaurant and one I hope to come back to.
Ben Johnson
Very attentive and timely service. Very busy place with lots of people. Make a reservation. Asparagus fries were good but very oily. Grown Up Grilled Ham & Cheese was good. Ordered with a tomato bisque. Flavors were spot on. Bisque came out scalding hot.

Amazing food! I ate like I was on Man vs Food here…like an absolute pig! Mason was an awesome server! I got the asparagus fries…I conquered them all! There must have been between 20 and 30 spears there. I smelled it in my pee for two days. 😂 Seriously though, try them. Also get the Slow roasted brisket sandwich, the warm butter cake dessert, and the pour over coffee. It was the best coffee I have ever had. I’m going back just for that before I leave. ~ yours truly, from Michigan. Enjoy!
Update…I went back, this time with two other people. Split those damn asparagus fries. Now I understand why there are crackheads in the world. I had the grownup grilled ham and cheese. It just needs more cheese…a lot more. Keep doing a great job though guys and gals!

Gorgeous restaurant. They told us all ingredients were local which we loved. Staff was very polite.
We started with the fried asparagus which was definitely amazing. We then tried the duck and the prime rib for our meals. Both were delicious and would without a doubt recommend to anyone. We ended with the warm butter cake topped with ice cream and berries. Presentation was great, can't say enough good things.

Founded on farm to table principles, Fork is good at that. The difficulty of getting a table speaks to that.
Local sources, freshness, with routine.
If that's all you need, it's great.
What I was missing is the flavor. Fresh and good ingredients want to be cared for, so the diner can experience them right. Cut back on the sugar please. If I want dessert brussel sprouts, I'll order dessert; the ones we got were too sweet to offer any other flavor.
Idaho rainbow trout was fresh but bland, sorry. Where were the herbs?
And thank you for the flowers that line the patio.
Going Keep
Food is awesome. Service is so so. The red wine source is flavorful. A little bit sour sweet. Flavor complicated with tender beef. The cake is also awesome. It is truly evil dessert
Patrick
First time here at this place, everything was great! Service, food, decor, vibe. Great location as well. Not the greatest of pics of the food, sorry, but trust me servings sizes were good and taste amazing.
Santana Powell
This places was amazing!!! GF for almost everything you order! And the atmospheres relaxing! And we later grabbed dessert after dinner before we left back out! They also have pour over coffee, which was delicious.
Caitlin Body
They had a great gluten-free menu. The food tasted delicious and I had wonderful service. I asked about drinks and was given a cider and told more about the area and where it came from. The outdoor seating area had comfortable seats and a beautiful view. I can't wait to go back.

Tried the Boise Chopped Salad or BCS with smoked salmon and boy oh boy was that a treat. The salmon was smoked perfectly with a delicate flavor which complimented the bed of arugula and white cheddar. Don’t let the look deceive you I’m a 6ft 2” man with an appetite and this salad left me stuffed. Decor was great and the waiter was friendly and not pushy. Will definitely go back again.

What a great stop for lunch! We came in and ordered the Bam Sammy with house made chips. The sandwich was solid, great flavor. The chips were good, not great simply because they were REALLY crispy, some were definitely burnt but hey they were still good so that’s saying something! My husband ordered the Urban Birger and added the spiced maple bacon and cheese. I was basically drooling over his burger until he gave me a bite! Holy cow, it was amazing, and the fries were also tasty! I can’t wait to order that the next time we’re in! Service was great and we had an overall amazing meal!
Miya Washington
The food here was delectable and unique. The service was quick and personable. The mashed potato side dish i had here was the best I've had in Boise. The drinks and the dessert were amazing. I'd happily eat here again.
Malia Bonte
Fork is great for a nice dinner in Boise! The rainbow trout was surprisingly delicious. The environment was really pleasant, both inside and outside. The bathroom has a really weird layout, but that’s truly the only complaint lol. The picture attached is the Beet Salad with grilled chicken added.
Valerie Paxton
Get a reservation to save yourself a wait, but they accommodate walk-ins with a smile. We sat at the bar and had a full-on prime rib dinner. Delicious. The patio looks fun too. Nice place. Great menu and wine list.
Samantha Parker
Very legit spot. Worth a bit of a wait!
I ordered the Cubana and I officially have a new favorite sandwhich. If you love intense and complimentary flavors, this is the sandwhich for you. It was also huge. I want to go back today and get it again honestly.
My husband got the Urban Burger with cheese which I was originally attacking him for because why order a regular burger when you have a menu full of exciting new dishes that you’ve never had? But I was humbled because the burger was really good. Just a well built, classic burger.
Absolute winner fries, too. Great service, fun atmosphere.
Reyes Salguero
I haven't had a great brisket burger in a long time since I lived in Texas. But when I came to Fork and tried this brisket burger, which they call it as a Slow-Smoked Brisket Sammy, I was very impressed. The flavor was exquisite. I had it with their house salad, but you can get chips with it. I would recommend getting it with the Rosemary-Parmesan Idaho French Fries instead. One thing I would say is that if it had a little more brisket juice/sauce, it would put it on top of my list because it was a bit dry.
Those that are 21+, I would recommend Jack and coke because you can taste the whiskey, which some locations are stingy with their alcohol.
Funky Boss
Fork has my favorite desserts. The rest of the food is great, but the desserts are out of this world! Sometimes I only order the asparagus fries, butter cake, and the bread pudding!
Brittany Anderson
My husband took me here for my birthday after we both had talked about going here for awhile, and we were very impressed! We loved the lamb lollipops and the cubano. Their portions are pretty good too, we took home leftovers.
Jaredin Pon
This restaurant is an excellent balance between slightly upscale cuisine but not overly expensive (still not formal). Lunches are $15ish/meal, dinner $20ish/meal, but in scope and quality, definitely beyond your normal American fare downtown.
Chicken and waffles are out-of-this-world. While it does have bones, it makes for a better fried chicken product. The butter was whipped and had orange zest, and the syrup had balsamic to dull the sweetness. The balance of the dish was remarkable. Paired with a vanilla porter on tap, and you've got yourself a better version than I've had in Texas or Georgia (where I lived in the past).
Bayou Vixen
Beautiful ambiance, decor, spacious seating, friendly staff and craft bartenders and divine desserts and pastries. I only came for their absolutely amazing warm Butter Cake w.fresh berries and vanilla ice cream & I paired it w.a glass of sparkling wine &/or Huckleberry Mimosa .
Amanda Hunter
This Farm to table is better then the menu leads onto. The cauliflower was a perfect mix of spicy, salty and sweet. The tacos and braised short ribs were wonderful. I would say for this good of food an added touch would be to clear empty appetizer plates immediately and bring fresh table wear for the next course, this would make for a top notch restaurant!
Jim Paulson (Boise Realtor)
Had a great business lunch. Service was great. Our waitress was friendly, effective, and not interrupting in nature. The deep fried asparagus was amazing.
Lindsay Bird
Dined in this Saturday as a group of six, as we were visiting some Boise friends. Drinks were great (three in the chamber was a fave). Food was good, just wish there was a little more variety (seafood-lobster, shrimp, prawns?/chicken/additional pasta). Collectively we had the asparagus and tomato soup w/grilled cheese as apps, chicken salad, filet, ravioli, short rib, cubano and trout. Plates were clean at the end! No room for dessert, unfortunately. Only grabbed one pic.
Susan Bissonnette
Service was great! Our food came out fast and was very good. Cocktails we ordered were a nice addition to dinner. Bathrooms were a mess with no paper towels or air dryer, which was disappointing. Overall, I'd go back if I were in town. The steak, carnitas tacos, and rainbow trout were very good but I wasn't blown away, hence the four stars. Worth checking out if you're in the area. Best part was the butter cake dessert.
Braden Hobbs
Alright so got the northwest scramble and the bam omelet. IT WAS PRETTY GOOD. We got there right at 9:30 and had some tasty foods.
I would rather have the bam sammi than the omelets but it was still pretty damn good and recommended! The service is always good and it is always a nice time! I believe the took the bahn mi bowl off the brunch menu and that makes me severely depressed, but ya know what everything does nowadays so
Oh well. Eat food here be happy and then go to the farmers market on sundays. 10/10. 4/5. 2/1. 69/420

One of the best foodie places in Boise. Lots of vegetarian forward dishes and unique twists with great presentation of their food. I had the charred cauliflower, delicious. Good service. Only minor negative is that the tap beer selection is very limited. Overall an excellent experience.
Misty N.
1st time and it was great. It was about 230 so it was a perfect time of day for the patio and a quick drink. The water glasses are made from wine bottles.. We had tacos and the asparagus, both were excellent and the berry lemonade was unbelievable!!!
Ann Bachand
The Asparagus Fries, their King Salmon, Currant, Roasted Corn and Arugula Salad, their berry muddled vodka cocktail and their service is truly impeccable! Well done Fork! I can't wait to come back.
Emily Phelan
We sat in the bar and enjoyed amazing service, food, and cocktails. Outside seating looked nice too and had misters. We’re looking forward to returning to try more.
Anne Barron
We loved everything. The asparagus fries were perfectly crisp like tempura. The salmon board is outstanding. Each is enough for a table of 4 to share, so we took some home. Loved the short ribs, a very generous portion. Had to try dessert. Both the butter cake and bread pudding were delectable! A nice selection of Idaho red wines. Our server was friendly, professional and helpful!
Robert Pedicone
Delicious food, delicious drinks, and delicious vibes. Maureen provided the best service this side of the Mississippi. Split our checks 7 ways, provided unparalleled attention, and took this perfect photo to capture our bachelorette brunch. There are moments in life and the people who make them. The moment was forks. The person was Maureen. To our angel in an apron. Love always, the Idahoes
Austin T
The spicy chicken sandwich here was very disappointing. The basic sesame seed bun, shredded iceberg lettuce, and pickle slices reminded me of a different restaurant (if you know what I mean). I think the amount of chicken you get is comparable as well. That aside, the restaurant is in a great location and the outdoor seating area is wonderful! Service was slow, but that is typical these days where employees are hard to come by.
Kenneth Molleson
They were able to accommodate a fairly large lunch group from my company, much better than anticipated. Been in several times and everything has always been exceptional, but you definitely pay for the quality. Highly recommend stopping in for drinks and an appetizer. Never, ever visit this place without having the butter cake. If nothing else... eat the butter cake!
Jordan Morales
Delicious as always, still my favorite restaurant in Boise! Tuesday nights are the best because you can get the chicken and waffles! My wife and I split that as best we could could the brisket Mac and Cheese. Very good. Also had the fried asparagus which is really a must order. We had a great time enjoying great food!
Richard Weathers
We had a great dinner experience. I had the smoked brisket Mac @ Cheese, it tasted great. Other party had the Ravilio it looked very good also.
Miley G
This is more like a "fancy" bar more than a "fancy" restaurant. The food was good, took forever for our waitress to come and attend us, the food is a bit expensive, the steak was not good, but everything else was good. The environment was comfortable and relaxing. No military discount, not coming back though.
Sam
We went for dinner, weather was great so that helps:) We sat in the outdoor seating and had some live music via the street performers. Fun vibe with the lighting and the hustle and bustle of a vibrant Boise downtown going on. The food was great and wasn't ridiculously priced! Service was excellent and she was a new girl in training! I wish we remembered her name to give her props for doing a good job! Will go again for sure!
Shawn hensley
The building is very cool
Started with the asparagus fries and a tomato basil fondue and grilled cheese. The fries were great. The fondue was one of the best takes on tomato soup and grilled cheese I have ever had. Then the main we had spring pea and mascarpone ravioli.
This was an amazing dish. Not your usual ravioli for sure.
Finished with the brownie with Carmel whipped cream and spiced nuts.
Very exceptional dessert and overall meal.
I can't wait to come back and try more on this great menu.
Wendy Butterfield
We went on a busy Wednesday evening before our concert. The waiter was great, efficient, attended to all ourneeds even though he was obviously busy with a big group. We worried we'd not make itto our concert in time but hemade sure we did. The food delicious. Everything was amazing. Just missing a star since the menu is very limited.
Amy Nahhas
Absolutely LOVED this place ! We had 1 day in Boise and a local recommended this restaurant because of their local resourcing for the menu. Great food + cocktails, great service - kudos to Charles our waiter !
Geraldo Leek
We stopped in the restaurant to grab a quick drink and quick snack after a long day of travel. Like everywhere in Boise - the people were just great. Bartenders were fun and attentive all while being VERY busy. The salads were great - many of the dishes were appealing - but if you have one "don't miss" it's the warm butter cake! Good heavens - that was a real treat!
Tony Chiappetta
The food was absolutely amazing, best chicken I have ever had and the huli huli sauce was incredible. My wife had the pea and marscapone ravioli and she said the were fresh and delicious. The service was incredible also. If you go make sure you get the asparagus fries for an appetizer.
Shirley Olohan
This place was kind of busy for a Monday night in the summer, but we put our name on the waiting list and they said they would text us which made it easy to walk around while we waited. Everyone who worked there was very friendly and helpful and we never felt neglected.
My husband and I both had the Urban burger, mine with cheese and his with bacon and gluten free bun. The patty was the best hamburger patty I have ever had, very juicy and flavorful! And the parmesan fries were tasty as well. Our hamburgers were very reasonably priced and a good size even with the addition of cheese and bacon.
We would definitely come back again.
Elizabeth Barron
This is my favorite restaurant in Boise. The ambiance is really wonderful. I love sitting in the curved booths with my family - we can see everything going on in the restaurant and out onto the street. The restaurant itself is busy - always people coming and going. Large tables are great for groups and the food is AMAZING!! The short rib was fantastic. The King Salmon appetizer plate is delicious and great for sharing. The asparagus fries are also a must have. Honestly the entire menu and wine list are fantastic. This is a must visit anytime I have family or friends in town.
Diego Eachaidh
Great dining spot in the heart of downtown. Full bar and local brews. Wide selection of casual food and main entrees. Outdoor dining in good weather.
Jillian Phippen
We were able to sit at the bar, and the staff was great. Definitely try the Bloody Mary bar. We had the rosemary fries (didn't taste the rosemary, but the dipping sauce was amazing). Our breakfast was also yummy. There's a reason this place is so popular!
Cameron Coll
Great place for lunch. I have grilled chicken club with Parmesan fries. Staff was super efficient, I would recommend making reservations as it was a pretty popular lunch spot!
Brennie
It's our Anniversary, so we decided to eat at the Fork, downtown Bosie. The food was out of this world. We had fried asparagus and lamb pops first, then prime rid with mashed potatoes. After, we had bread pudding and buttered cake. The drink were awesome too. Our waitress was so sweet and helpful. The service was 5 star. We will definitely come back again. It was a lovely evening! 😍
Alex Kueneman
Brunch is killer here! Blood Mary bar?! Make your own Mimosa? UHM yeah!
The food was great, sitting on the patio was wonderful. Even the inside looked like a covid-respectful environment with plenty of room between patrons & staff were wearing masks.
Chicken and waffles is great, but might suggest it to be a shareable item for the table as it is primarily just the sandwich. The other entrés were all delicious.
Eric Jones
Very nice local place to eat. Non-chain, utilizing local farms and resources. Can be on the pricey side but still affordable. Drinks were a bit high at $13 average. Appetizers were good, entree's were great. The experience, location, staff, and seating options (inside or outside patio) were great. Definitely would go back. If you order dessert, go with the butter cake al a mode - amazing.
Adrienne Holliday
You guys...wow. We stopped here on a whim for dinner while traveling and I might find reasons to come through the area again! The service was great, the atmosphere is nice, and the food...oh, the FOOD!
Everything we had vied for some of the best things I've ever eaten. We had the Brussels sprouts and asparagus fries for appetizers, the brisket french dip as a shared entree, and the butter cake and bread pudding for dessert. We were both seriously full, but didn't want to stop. Cannot recommend this place enough!

The temperature was over 100 at 6pm, so we decided to do take out. Online ordering was easy. Fork is downtown with no dedicated parking, so we were glad to see that metered street parking was free for the first 20 minutes. Our food was waiting for us, prepared as we ordered, and delicious. There were plenty of folks dining in the shaded outdoors under the misters.
Shon Sands
Service was great. Although the place was fairly busy on a Saturday night, the atmosphere still felt light. The restaurant seemed to draw in all sorts of groups. From young couples with infants to full families with kids of all ages to groups of adult friends of all ages. Seemed like everyone was enjoying themselves and it was easy to talk and communicate. The food was good, I especially liked the homemade buttermilk basil pesto dressing and the house made chipotle on the chicken sandwich. However, I found the prices to be a bit expensive for what you get. I have had comparable or even better chicken sandwiches at places like Modern Market for less $$$. Definitely paying for the name, atmosphere and location downtown. My wife got the red wine braised boneless short ribs which was really good but felt like more of a brisket. Again, felt the 38$ price tag on it was a bit steep. It's also unclear whether the meat is grass fed or not. We failed to ask, but I guess if it's grass fed beef I could understand the price on the brisket (ribs). Appreciate them saving some room for walk ins. We did wait about 45 min but took the time to go across the street to North Face and grab a new beanie. The server and team of bussers were amazing and constantly getting drink refills and checking on how things were going. Overall, a great Saturday night.

The day we went there was a 1 1/2hr wait but lucked out by getting seats at the bar. The foos was delicious and so was the dessert. Highly recommend this place if you are in the area.
Jeb Cletus
Fork has some great food. The prime rib on certain days is very tasty. The servers are kind and knowledgeable and things flow seamlessly from start to finish. A bit on the expensive side, but its downtown and a trendy location and experience.
Nia Vere Nicoll
Decor very dated, looks like it hasn’t been updated in 15+ years.
Rainbow trout was very good, chicken salad was nice enough but not amazing.
Kids menu was $8-9 per meal and was literally 3 chicken tenders and a scoop of ice cream, definitely overpriced. Make it 2 chicken tenders and a side of veggies or something.
Cocktails and wine nice but high price.
Wasn’t as good overall as I imagined/had heard about.
Alicia Lairy
Great patio seating and service is top notch. I’ve only had the chicken and waffles (special on Tuesday’s) and it was amazing. Hands down best I’ve ever had. No doubt you can’t order wrong here!
DrivingInCircles0
Amazing food and service!! Reasonable prices. Patio is very comfortable!!
Holden Huffaker
My wife and I went to the Fork for a wedding night and had such an amazing experience. Our waiter was very efficient, quick, and on top of everything that we needed or wanted. We ordered a couple sandwiches and a grilled cheese with tomato basil fondue and it was amazing. This is the first time I’ve been here and I will definitely be returning. The price was very affordable. I 10/10 recommend this place!

4 interactions with this place. Food is good. Service, never so good. Both online orders and in person service fall short. Slightly elitist in that they turn you away if you don’t have a reservation. On a Friday & Saturday night, sure - But a Wednesday afternoon, odd. Everyone comes for the butter cake. Otherwise, food is just fine. No major complaints there.
Kevin Harper
We love this place for date nights. The food is awesome, and the service friendly.
We especially like the outdoor seating in nice weather. When it's hot, they put misters outside so you can still enjoy the outdoors.
Christl Colven
Try the BSC (Boise Chopped Salad) was really tasty and then the G.F. Brownie Bowl "Devine"
Elsa Jensen
Fork is a must try in Boise. It has a cool atmosphere, delicious menu, and excellent friendly staff. I had the grilled cheese tomato soup fondue and it was heavenly - I could have eaten that alone and been fine, but then my salad came and it was just as amazing (the southwest chicken salad) - it was so fresh and flavorful, I was in awe that a simple salad could be so good. Finally, the butter cake was the real treat. If you don’t try the butter cake, you’re not really living.
A few specifications - there is no parking for Fork only. There are a few parking lots within a couple of blocks (all are paid parking). There is a bathroom in fork that is clean and nice and I believe they still do takeout. Don’t miss out - try Fork!
Steven Bryan
11-27-22 When Fork was new they had a way-cool Bloody Mary bar on the weekend. We loved it! The food was really good too - interesting takes on old favs, etc. We went recently on a Sunday hoping for the same...mebbe it was COVID, or new owners, but the BM bar was gone and the food was, well...just average. The place was still extremely busy, there was a 45 min wait to get in, and the server kept forgetting the answers to questions she had asked. Too many places are better than average now in Boise. We won't go back...
K Nag
This is the best restaurant in boise Idaho .Beautiful in and out . I ordered trout fish is known the most popular dish at this restaurant . It was Amazing ! Salmon fillet Salad and fried asparagus were great too .
Mandy Ungersma
This place was fantastic! We ordered the boneless ribs, the rainbow trout and their famous asparagus fries. All were so good and flavorful. We dined outside, but also love the ambiance inside too. We will definitely come again.
Crystal Meyer
This place was one of the first places we visited 6 years ago and we have been coming back ever since. It has become one of our favorites every time we are in downtown. The asparagus fries and the salads are classic and the grilled cheese and tomatoe bisque are our favorites. The staff is always friendly and on point and the atmosphere is classic.
Lucy McDonough
Service and atmosphere was wonderful. My Reuben was delicious!! Fries were disappointing... they were warm but didn’t seem super fresh. Fried asparagus was 10/10, wish i could eat it every day. My partner was disappointed with his burger: it wasn’t put together and didn’t come with cheese, and overall was underwhelming. But his mashed potatoes were PERFECTION!
Also i got the raspberry clove cocktail. it was a little pricey but worth it!
I will be back here next time i’m in Boise, though!! Just won’t get the burger or fries.
Gene
Really enjoyed our meal. Seated promptly. Waiter greeted us immediately. Drinks served quickly. Ordered salads...add the bacon. Trout and short ribs for main course were outstanding. Bread pudding for desert also very good. A perfect dinner.
Constance Locklear
Bartender Lexi deserves a raise! Perfect old fashioned, excellent service, and I felt like the staff genuinely wanted to get to know me (I know it's their job, but it was a Monday, so they get extra points). Had the Cubano and it was delicious. Highly recommend.
Miranda Reich
The "Fork" was fantastic. The outdoor patio was amazing. The service was a bit slow but we were in no hurry. The cocktail menu was extensive and the prices reasonable. The brisket sammy was delicious. A great local spot that I would definitely visit again if in the area.
Travis Ennis
They have excellent food and awesome bloody Mary's! I was just visiting my friends. There in Boise, I wanted to try this place! We had the Crispy Brussel Sprouts as an appetizer. They were very good. 8th st. Tacos 🌮 for the main course. They were pretty good, but also very greasy.
I had the salted caramel bread 🍞 Pudding for dessert 🍨! It was all very filling. I'd recommend this place to anyone!
Stan Steiber
Great food but not a very large choice of item. The atmosphere was very pleasant but slightly cramped. Service was top notch!! Very nice place to enjoy your meal!!
Brian Anderson
Enjoyed the fresh appetizers and entrées. Service was timely, food came out quickly, and my drink never went dry. I didn't love the veggie enchiladas, but the menu had great selections and the rest of my party was happy with their meals. If you want to head to downtown Boise for a good dinner experience, Fork is a good option. Don't forget to walk through Freak Alley on the way out!
Ron G
Food was okay. I had King salmon. It was good and hot. The risotto and asparagus it was on was barely warm. Service was ok but some ordered items never came. Just did not meet our expectations.
Yogi Ji
Well this is the 3rd single word Restaurant we have been in the great City and by far the best food, atmosphere and staff.
We split some Sammys and indulged in the Asparagus Fries ... everything was locally sourced and Chef i could drink the house made ranch...
Jessica Espenlaub
I am officially a raving fan of Fork. The food is absolutely drool-worthy! Get the asparagus fries, you won't be disappointed. Bloody Mary is awesome too. Had the Brisket sammy.. omg. Friendly staff, quick service- can't say enough good things. I'll be back, for sure! Highly recommended.
Raul Cuellar
Wonderful restaurant downtown Boise, Idaho. Delicious menu items and excellent wine list.
Ryan Schroeder
One of the best restaurants I have been to in a long time! They're cocktail called "You had me at Mezcal" was phenomenal!!! Baking spices, mezcal smoke, balanced sweetness, and a tad bubbly made it one I that I enjoyed every sip of. Food-wise, the brussel sprouts were great and the spare-rib ravioli was fantastic! Would highly recommend!

The food here is fricking delicious! No wonder there’s a long line to get in!
I had the matcha tea cocktail and it’s very nice and refreshing.
I ordered the special prime rib and it has plenty of flavor with a mild horseradish and an amazing mashed potato that was creamy with chunks and didn’t need gravy!
The dessert was the house special sweet bread and it was scrumptious! All in all amazing food and great service

Delish!!!! So happy we stopped here. Best to make a reservation.
Chris Judkins
We have frequented the fork many times and it's always one of our favorites. We came as a party of 6 for brunch, which we haven't had the pleasure to do yet.
Two words - Top Notch!
The Jumbo cinnamon roll is a revelation.
The breakfast tacos - excellent
The Huevos Rancheros - great
Scramble - was very good too.
Honestly, everything we ordered was great. The service was very good as expected.
We will be back again soon!
Big Muff Madrid
This was quite possibly the best meal I've ever had. The wine braised short ribs pulled from the bone sitting on mashed potatoes, carrots and crispy onion hash all laying in a a wine gravy and a horseradish sauce with chives. Wow... It was great
Marty Norris
Always a favorite when in Boise. Great food and atmosphere. Local restaurant that sources ingredients from local business. When you are in town definitely put this spot on your list. (You might want to make a reservation to be safe)
Collin Bowser
Fork is an excellent spot for a good bite or drinks. Bar service was perfect and the bartenders were very knowledgeable which is always appreciated. Ate a cup of tomato soup which was perfect.
Cyndi Schefflin
Had a lovely dinner with my honey and our two girls. Our waitress, Valerie did a wonderful job. Appetizers were delicious. We had asparagus fries and fondue. Dinner had some issues but we never asked for them to take it off but they did and the manager was very sweet. Our waitress spoke to the manager to have her come see us. We eill still go back. Desserts were exceptional.
Justin Brodie
Fork is one of our favorite places. Brunch is great as well as dinner. Friendly staff clean resturant. Cocktails are good, our goto appetizer is the Brussel sprouts. If you like Brussel sprouts don't miss out on these we usually eat so many we don't have room for all of our dinner.
Ashley Brooks
SO GOOD. I had the asparagus fries and the fried chicken salad- that salad was unbelievably good. I thought I would eat half of it, but I demolished the entire thing. Definitely coming back the next time I’m in boise!
Jolene Hayes
FANTASTIC Waffles & Eggs! We have put out a little bowl of water for our dog without telling us. I had short ribs on the beef and they were fantastic too. Good environment & food. We'll certainly be there!
Andrea Bassoli
Probably the best meal I had in Boise 👌... The prime rib was to die for 😋 …
Josh Pence
We decided to try the Fork on a whim and boy were we pleasantly surprised! The wait time was only about 45 min onna Saturday night around 7 pm. The staff was very friendly. The food was as great! There is plenty of choices. For us, neither of us could finish our meals and we both went in pretty hungry. Overall, the experience was nice. It's a great low lighting atmosphere. The drinks were made well. We were told by another couple they have a fabulous brunch, so we will have to come back for that. Cost wise? While their main entree's are about $22-$29 a piece, we had the burger and a sandwich, along with a drink each and the tab with tip was around $65. Pretty good for a nice dinner out for two.
Lauri Harrison
Cool atmosphere, fun menu, great service!
Adam Sattley
Fork came with a lot of hype. The restaurant is beautiful inside! We went for brunch on the weekend back in February. The breakfast sandwich I ordered was excellent! Bob didn't care for his biscuits and gravy, but he is pretty picky when it comes to that dish. We also ordered the infamous jumbo cinnamon roll to share as a dessert after brunch. We were disappointed. It was too chewy, and didn't have the consistency of a nice warm cinnamon roll. The Bloody Mary bar is pretty epic! I have never seen so many spices, condiments, juices, and other accoutrement for a self-serve bloody mary bar. The service was good, and I would definitely go back the next time I am in town and try a different meal.
nikkita loca
Took my grandma here for her 88th birthday super relaxed environment great service and the food was amazing.. kinda bummed they didn't offer any kind of free birthday dessert but all was amazing besides that! Ooo and I got the
Fork Surf & Turf:
Grilled New York strip steak, pan seared diver scallops, brown butter squash fritter, sautéed Swiss chard & tarragon-garlic compound butter
Totally amazing you must try!!
Bryan Weese
Est place so far. Great menu! Great service, Carson was fantastic! Made some recommendations and all were fantastic. One must try the fried ASPARAGUS 😋
Kyrie Bean
My absolutely go to in Boise for a nice meal. My favorite is the appetizer tomato soup fondue. Great location downtown as well!
Donna Wade
We adore dining at Fork. And we love Lexy the bartender! Her personality and knowledge bring any experience up a level. Keep it up, Fork!
Jeff Natividad
Writing this review during the pandemic, and it's refreshing to see a restaurant that handles social distancing and mask requirements properly. It is important to note that the staff are all friendly and do their best to check in on you as you done while donning masks.
As for the food, the seasonings and presentations are all on point for the price you pay. The drink menu is presented with a wide variety of local brews, for those who are on the lookout for such.
I ordered the cast iron seared lamb lollipops as an appetizer, which come adorned with green chimichurri sauce. This sauce compliments the still-sizzling lollipops of lamb and presents a succulent bite-by-bite experience.
The dish I chose as a main course was the artichoke heart & ricotta ravioli, which had just the right amount of cheesy in every ravioli pillow. The sunflower seeds came as a surprise, allowing for a crunchy break between creamy bites.
Overall, I highly recommend Fork if you're in town for a wide variety of well-presented portions with unique flavor and texture combinations.
Nadia Pshonyak
Had an amazing brunch here! Highly recommend getting reservations as this place fills up fast. Great food, excellent service, and tasty drinks!
Joshua Hone
Warm and welcoming atmosphere for a nice but not pricey dinner in downtown Boise.
Probably the best tomato soup I’ve ever had.
Phuc Luong
Food was good. Wait time will be a bit long if you don't reserve ahead. Definitely the burger was the best! Make sure to add an egg to it. The server was wonderful.
Bob Mecham
Loved the atmosphere inside but it was busy so I sat outside and it was just as nice. Service was very good and professional. Seemed like they were following Covid protocol very well.
I had a couple drinks and the Idaho trout. It was delicious.
Marko Nikic
Welcomed by a very hospitable Mitchell, who recommended the short rib and the butter cake. Both were amazing. Highly recommend!
Shreya Jagarlamudi
Their trout with wild rice is amazing! Would definitely go back again just for that. Brussel sprouts and asparagus fries were good too! Their butter cake was a bit too sweet for me and underwhelming in taste. Overall, a great place with good food!
Michael Zhang
Amazingly delicious dishes characterize this wonderful location. Service was average when I visited, but their fares will have me coming back at least once more before I leave Boise (I'm from the East Coast, here on business). Out of the myriad of restaurants I've visited, I can confidently say that their boneless beef ribs deserve a gold star of excellence! The meat practically falls apart on its own to the point that you don't even need a knife to cut it at all! And their salads are generously loaded far beyond anything a nationwide chain would offer - a salad should offer roughage, and Fork's definitely does! I highly recommend visiting this place for lunch, dinner, or anything in between!
V Turner
Higher end, cozy place. Attentive servers.
Brussel sprouts were cooked well with a sweet component. The asparagus fries were are tasty with a nicr crunch.
Huli Huli Chicken was awesome with the sauce and big enough for leftovers. Bread pudding for dessert tasted great and is more than enough to be shared.
Others seemed to enjoy all their entrées and yellow cake as well.
Vicky Leong
I enjoyed my Idaho trout and kale dinner and my husband's salad was delicious. Our dog was welcome on the patio. I like the local farm produce concept. Everything was fresh. Very nice staff. We are only visiting but would love to eat here again.
Amber Hawton-Hill
I visited Fork after hearing from many friends that it was worth checking out. I went with a group of seven and we were seated promptly. The food was excellent from appetizer to entree to dessert. A few of the people I was with felt it was very loud and hard to talk, it also did take while to be served. We were there for about 2.5 hours. However, the staff was great and the food was worth the wait!
Ben Greenwood
Service was fine, very standard.
Food however was delicious as always!
Solid choice whenever, but will plug their chicken and waffles. I enjoyed the dish very much!
Arthur Anderton
Dining experiences like this are few and far between. We had tempered our expectations due to a local barista telling us that Fork "wasn't as good as it claims to be". You walk in to wood and brick tones coupled with decor that immediately gives you the impression that you'll be paying $40 per person, then you open the menu and are pleasantly surprised to find very reasonable prices with the most costly brunch plate being just under $14. I had the Chef's Benny, an amazing take on Eggs Benedict. The poached eggs were perfect spheres and the yolk spilled out in perfect creamy splendor. My best friend gave me a piece of his bacon and I immediately ordered a side of it. Candied cayenne bacon is now the only way I'm going to make bacon. Then there was our server, Erica. Aside from having an amazing smile, she was friendly and just the right amount of attentive to not be overbearing but make sure we weren't neglected. Overall, this five-star experience actually makes me disappointed that I don't live in Boise so I can come back and try everything else on the menu over time. Thank you Erica and Fork for the phenomenal brunch!
Sharde' Kay
My husband and I love making a special trip to Boise just to go to Fork. Today we went and as usual it was delicious. We made a reservations and Matt was a wonderful server. He was just attentive enough and gave great drink suggestions. I had the braised short ribs that just melted in my mouth. My husband had the 8oz filet and it was cooked perfectly. The butter cake is always a great dessert at the end. The raspberry clove cocktail was superb!
Meghan Field
Came to Fork for an afternoon lunch as a recommendation. I ordered the ravioli and the poke bowl with shrimp. Both of the dishes were outstanding!
Forrest Gillespie
Stayed in Boise the night before my 5am flight. Hotel staff recommended this spot. Restaurant has a nice vibe and bartenders were down to earth and funny. Ordered the trout which was good, and was then told by multiple people that I had to have the butter cake (think that’s the name). It was delicious. Came out warm and moist. Overall good experience at Fork restaurant in downtown Boise.
Chrissy Bee
Immediately I loved the way it felt the vibe and the look all great we were immediately greeted and. Seated and given water the waitress' name was and she was very knowledgeable and kind she had a very professional way of doing her job this is an all around winner located on 8th Street in the heart of downtown Boise
Krista Bauer
One of my favorite places in downtown Boise. I tend to stick with the Huli Huli chicken - amazing! The bar seems to be loaded with options if that's your thing. The wine menu is solid as well.
Crystal Rucker
For is delicious!! I the old world brick interior is beautiful and very cozy. My husband had the Urban burger, it was cooked perfect and parmesan dusted fries were amazing. I had the artichoke spinach ravioli and the pesto was really good but a bit too much. Try their famous butter cake, and cocktails, you won't regret it.
Deanna Shaw
Can't say enough good things about Fork's food and service. My daughter turned 21 this January and with Covid we still wanted to celebrate but didn't want to put anyone at risk. We asked if we could make reservations for the Patio on Saturday night for 6. We grabbed some blankets and headed to the restaurant for dinner.
Our waitress really made the night. Heather not only started us out with cups of hot water for our hands, she kept filling them several times. We sat between two fire pits and stayed relatively warm from the hot water allowing us to really enjoy our meal. The table ordered Prime Rib, Short Ribs, Steak and more. All of our dishes were fantastic and we had a great time celebrating. Overall I would give Fork more stars if I could. Heathers service was above and beyond on a cold January night, really appreciate all of her hard work in waiting on us outside.
Rebecca Freyenberger
Fork is probably one of my favorite spots in downtown Boise, the food and the atmosphere are both top notch and the service is impeccable. The pulled pork nachos are probably the best nachos I’ve ever had, highly recommend. No happy hour here but there are plenty of small plate options!
Rebecca Thompson
Our experience was amazing the drinks were incredibly balance, flavorful, perfectly made. The salads we had for dinner absolutely delicious. Service was spot on. Highly recommend
Sharon Snell
Went for dinner with an out of town friend- easy parking close by, yummy food. Drinks are on the pricier side, but its a nice atmosphere and the servers are great.
Lisa Redding
Food was wonderful, service was prompt, decor was interesting, but either because it was packed or poor acoustics it was very loud. I understand it is popular, with great food and downtown location, it follows that it will be busy, even on a Monday night. We had a nice time and a nice meal.
Jordan
Rarely would I rate a restaurant five stars but I would say that The Fork is one of those times. It was great! Food, atmosphere, and service was all impeccable. Becca was our waitress and she was awesome! We had the Fondue Grilled cheese to start with the shimp cocktail (thought that was a little on the small side). The Prime Rib Sammy was my choice and all of our party had sandwiches of some sort: all were all delicious. Lots of gluten free options as well (a member of our party has celiac). Strawberry lemonade was also great and they had a large drink selection. Almost everything is locally made and it was a great way to experience Idaho's downtown.
H&S
We dined on Friday night after attempting to dine that afternoon for lunch (but they were by reservation only at that time). The food was great. The service was perfect. They have a very nice outdoor seating area, a large bar and a great list of local spirits. Prives we're average to slightly high. Husband got the sirlion steak. I got a small house salad with added chicken. Their brocollinis we're amazing. Everything in the place had great flavor. We would definitely return.
Kelsey Burns
Great food, service, and atmosphere! My only complaint is I felt a bit rushed, but other than that I had an amazing experience!
Ben Mosley
If doing brunch, you need to get the cinnamon roll. If lunch or dinner the burger is awesome.
Jonathan Nelsen
I loved it here. Great food, great service! My bf loved everything as well, which is usually unheard of.
Lee Wright
Tuesday special, Chicken and Waffle! come early, anting and so filling as well. DOG FRIENDLY! a big deal to us as we were traveling with our companion. Jerry was great as a waiter. Fast and responsive.
Amy Riordan
FANTASTIC Chicken & waffles! They also brought a little water bowl out for our dog without us asking. My husband had the beef short ribs & they were really great too. Great food & atmosphere. We will definitely be returning!
Alex Kovalenko
Food was very delicious, very good atmosphere, Will be definitely coming back to explore their menu!
Nourhen Brahem
I was having a bad day in a sunny day, l walked by Fork and l decided to have something, l want to thank the two waiters who talked to me and were nice to me.
The Burger 🍔 was delicious
Quincee Kingston
Great atmosphere and I loved the food. Friendly and helpful staff as well.
Ben Medeiros
Everything - food, service, atmosphere were all well done. We had tomato bisque soup, house salad, urban burger, mashed potatoes, and lamb chops.
Alexandra Lott
One of favorites in DT Boise. The food is always fresh and unique tasting and the atmosphere is classy, but relaxed. The staff is nice and great.
We always enjoy coming here, never a disappointment!
Meghan Watson
The burger here was amazing 👏!!!!! Best I've had in a long time..absolutely nailed it. Service was great, and also fast! We were on a road trip in the PNW, and this was one of our top picks of the restaurants we dined at. And we hit up a lot in the 9 day trip...keep up the great work. Good thing we live in Oregon, may just be worth the 7 hour drive to get that burger 🍔
Dillon Cook
Randomly walked in here when looking for a good lunch spot. Sat at the bar and the bartender was very nice and knowledgeable on any questions I had about the menu. The burger I ate and Moscow mule I had were the best ever! I'm going back next time I'm in Boise. Highly recommend the place.
Irma Zandl
Good spot in town suitable for large groups. We had gotten spoiled the previous nights by petite 4 (which is an absolute gem of a restaurant), so while Fork was good, it disappointed versus our earlier dinner at petite 4. FORK is way too loud and the food is average not spectacular.
Armando Roggio
We had dinner at the Fork on Sunday, September 2, 2018. The restaurant is pleasant and the staff was very friendly. Becca, our server, was great.
We had good cocktails. And the meals were generally good. They had a vegan plate. So big thumbs up for having options for vegans and vegetarians. It would be great if they would add a few more vegan options.
Dinner for two with four drinks and two appetizers was just over $100.
pris cam
The nicest waitress I’ve had! Food really good, not amazing, but good and affordable. The sawtooth IPA 🍺 👍🏼👍🏼 …
Jon Frankel
Great spot Downtown Boise 👌 craft cocktails and great service 👍 outdoor seating was nice with heaters for all tables didn't eat dinner but app was 👌
T Pham
I wasn't expecting much from this place when we first walked in, but we were quite pleasantly surprised. The drinks were on point and the food was super tasty! This may be my new go to in Boise.
Lindsay Jacobs
Man, I was so looking forward to my second experience at Fork. I originally came two years ago and had their Huckleberry Cream Soda (amazing!) and ravioli. The soda was so delicious, but the ravioli was salty, so I settled on their French fries, which were very good.
This visit, I ordered their famous asparagus appetizer, which was very yummy. It took over an hour from the time my appetizer came out until my burger arrived. The server had recommended the burger, but it wasn’t anything spectacular. The butter cake and coffee was the best part of the evening.
Service was extremely slow (2 hours on a Monday night from start to finish) plus the wait to be seated.
This would be a place I would bring out of town guests for a late dessert and drinks.
Amanda Hamell
Awesome food. Loved the BLT. Chips were great. Very happy to see a stool in the bathroom for my kid. They had a coloring book and a bucket of crayons with some small animal figures for the kids. Will definitely be going back.
Sarah Menendez
You have to try the mushroom panfry. An incredible meal, great relaxed vibe, friendly service. I can't wait to go back!
Chad Snyders
It's always good at Fork. I've eaten there a couple times this time had a lot more fun cuz I was able to have my daughter and my sweetheart next to me!
Ally Marshall
Great food, great service - the street tacos were wonderful - amazing balance of protein and acidity and spice with the grilled jalapeno. Staff was super friendly and helpful and service was quick, even on a busy night. Highly recommend!
Lance Peak
Had some amazing food and dessert. The place was busy but nice and our server was great! We had a fun date night there and I highly suggest it for a nice/casual date night. I certainly wouldn't call it an intimate setting though.
Deborah N.
The brisket Mac n Cheese was amazing! Great atmosphere. They were out of Chandon on the day of my visit :(
Mr. Texahoan
Food was really good and our waitress was very nice. We got her at the end of her 12 hour shift, so she wasn't on her A game. But we totally understand. We will be back again.
Byron Miles
Our writer was outstanding. Very knowledgeable about the menu and food irons and pairings. Willing to make recommendations.
Jens Cutter
Good food with excellent service from Tyler L.
Justin Page
Really good food the price isnt bad for downtown Boise but could be a few bucks less for their drink menu in the pics are the sea bass worth ribs and the grown up grilled ham and cheese. The consensus of the table was that the house chips were not worth it. But the fondue appetizer was
April Killian
Best restaurant in Boise! Must try: asparagus fries, veggie enchiladas, butter cake!
Kevin Gunning
We were early. The short ribs were overcooked and dry...likely the first one on top. It was tasty swathed in the wine sauce, however. Parmesan fries were undercooked and under seasoned. Barely noticed any rosemary. It is worth another try.
Joshua Spooner
The salad was good, fresh with well-distributed veggies. The Bam sammy was very nice with avocado and bacon magic. The mac and cheese had nice three-cheese flavor. The sirloin steak was ordered at medium temperature and was delivered very red, very rare. The rib plate was very tender meat, but lacked flavor. The gravy was nice with the potatoes, but more would have been nice. I have had better meats for much more fair prices elsewhere.
Daniel Monighetti
I have had amazing food and service here. Though this is my first review, it is probably my fourth trip.
This is a small open restaurant with mid to low light. It has outside seating which is nice was a warm evening. The service is always on point and they are happy to accommodate. Last Friday, we went for dessert after dinner elsewhere. I ordered the warm butter cake to share with my wife. It had a delicious scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, slowly melting. Each bite was decadent and pulled me in for another bite. I couldn't stop until it was gone. My picture makes it look smaller than it is.
Like many 8th Street Restaurants, you will need to ask for a straw and when you get one, it will be paper.
The coffee was good, and hot. The water was always filled as it was getting low.
This will continue to be a place to go when I'm looking for good food and a solid experience.
Mary H
Loved it!! All of the dishes I tried were very good. I loved the warm butter cake for dessert especially!
Jenelle Kemp
Fork is crowded and a bit pricey, but worth the wait and the cost. Most of their food and drinks are sourced locally, and tagged with their locations. Even the cocktails are made with local spirits! The boneless short rib was tender and the mushroom sauce that came with it was amazing.
For cocktails, the vanilla bourbon manhattan had a weird clove or nutmeg weird taste, maybe in the bitters. However the house lemonade with berries and vodka was perfect. Decent beer list almost all from local breweries too.
Lisa
Loved this restaurant! The misters outside were spot in and kept the heat and the flies away. Food was very good and service excellent. Will return.
Trip Edgerton
Stop in to get out of the heat and have a snack. My Mom really liked the bartender. We sat inside but there was plenty of nice outdoor seating.
Kymberli Clement
I keep coming back! I have a project in this lovely town and each trip I’ve made up from San Diego, CA. The food is delish and the prices are reasonable. Great selection of beer, wine and specialty cocktails. The Cajun shrimp & Grits is amazing!
Cafi
The food was amazing. Everything looked too good to eat. Had a great time here with friends. The staff was nice and service was quick. Delicious. The atmosphere was pleasant. It was a bit pricey but worth it for the wonderful food.
Douglas Wirnowski
Great food (and a long wait). Make reservations EARLY if you want a table here, but it's worth the wait. Tuesdays they have a fried chicken/waffle plate that was out of this world - juicy chicken, delicious maple syrup, and a crispy waffle underneath. Burgers were pretty de-lish too. Standout: the deep fried asparagus appetizer. Healthy (ok, maybe not) and utterly scrumptious! Average pricing on things. Attentive wait staff. We'll be going back
Tobi Cornell
Beautiful atmosphere, great service & delicious food. I highly recommend the signature asparagus app & grilled cheese/ tomato bisque fondue. Zoe was a helpful & delightful server!
Kimette Weaver
Crispy asparagus & homemade ranch, the best I ever had! Best salads & sandwiches. Nice clean restaurant.
Undercover Foodie
Must try their asparagus fries and the butter cake is simply divine. Their drinks are delightful as well! I love that they locally source most of their food.
Derrick Psaros
Great service and awesome building in the middle of downtown. Only took off a star for the limited menu choices.
Definitely get the butter cake dessert!
Candice Bell
The food was amazing but we couldn't hear a word our waitress was saying and it tasted like the drinks were watered down. I'll still go back- like I said, the filet was awesome- but I'm hoping for a better experience next time.
Sean Miller
We came here for brunch on a Sunday while visiting Boise. Great food and service! The food took a little while to come from the kitchen, but the wait was worth it. The urban burger was awesome!
Andrea Thueson
Food was just meh for how expensive it was. Spinach ricotta ravioli was inedible, Mac and cheese was cold, burger and fries were decent. I won’t go back and wouldn’t recommend.
swapnil Kosarabe
The place was really good with great ambience inside. We ordered french toast, waffle and chicken and omelette. Everything turned out really good.
Junk Art Gypsyz
We Had the Urban Burger & Chicken Club with Asaparagus Fries and salad with blue cheese. All were absolutely delicious so fresh and flavorful a new fav!!!
Rob Hallifax
Went to Fork about 5pm Oct 4, 2019! Heard it was great from a friend and he was correct! Trout was wonderful, my Salmon sandwich was delicious and the dessert was to die for! See attached photo!
Tiffany Saunders
First time at Fork. I heard lots of good things and had to try it for myself. We had the asparagus appetizers, Urban burger, and mac'n cheese. The appetizers were a perfect flavor balance and the burger was honestly the best ever! It came with rosemary parmesan fries that were great! But that cake! 🤤😘🤗 Drag me away before I marry it!!! 😂😍😂 The service was top tier! Thanks for being amazing.
Matt Shrader
Hit the meek with an awesome blt and great tomato soup to dip in. Chipotle powder on the prosciutto in the chefs salad. Misting the outdoor dining was much appreciated.
Caleb Dudley
First time coming here. Pretty nice atmosphere, quality ingredients (gastons buns are amazing). I only wish the burger had had a little more flavor/options. The butter cake was decent but perhaps didnt live up to the recommendations.
Dian Kelly Carroll
Wonderful food here. Interesting wine list which included Idaho wines which I tried. Wait staff was friendly and efficient. Plan to get a reservation otherwise you'll have a long wait.
Kayla Reynolds
This is my favorite restaurant to eat in Boise. I’ve been here several times and ive never been disappointed! Ever! The atmosphere is so inviting and the food is soo soo delicious! If your wondering what you should eat and where you should go... Fork! Breakfast, lunch or dinner! My personal favorite is the Bam Sammy!
Eric Cetovick
Oh man... Grown up ham and cheese with some tomato soup, excellent for a cold day. Great brunch!
Ken Q
The brisket was sooooo absolutely fabulous. Large portion that was completely fall apart scrumptious. Wish I visited Boise mire often
Petr M
Beautiful setting, excellent cocktails, food meets expectations for the cost.
Michael Henderson
Entree selection was limited and not very impressive; but the brownie dessert was the BEST I have ever tasted.
Tracie Hill
Love this place... asparagus fries, brussel sprouts, tomato soup and grilled cheese fondue. Fabulous!!!
Christopher Ward
Excellent atmosphere, I wanted to just hang out at the bar, the entire restaurant is so cozy and feels like a classy friend's home. The staff was top notch, they were all very friendly, both bartenders made sure I knew their names and I didn't have to ask for the check, water, or ask them to come over to order because they were so attentive, best service I've had in a long time. Had the catfish sandwich, it was good probably 3.5 stars, batter was a little heavy handed and the coleslaw was bland, but sauce was tasty with a little kick. Draft beer selection was small, but they had a brown, ipa, and porter along with 2 or 3 others, so they were selected smartly. I'll be back to try something else.
Steve Underwood (Aegis Darque)
The food was great. The restaurant was really pretty. The waitress was very friendly. The only challenge you may have will be finding parking...but as long as you can accomplish that, you definitely will NOT be disappointed.
Lidia M. R
The building is an old bank and I loved that they kept that element. It has an upscale feel for a decent price. Food was also amazing! They don't have a huge menu but do have a separate dinner menu for dinner time. I had a grilled cheese and tomato bisque. The bisque came out on a little metal stand with a candle underneath to keep the soup warm! So classy! Will be back!
Andrew Moore
The food and service is great. They have good gluten free options.
Jan Reed
Amazing. Best Trout I have ever had. Starters were great.
Dessert was magnificent.
Amanda Raygoza Bliss
Visiting from out of town and so glad we did. Amazing food, cocktails and service. Quality and unique dishes. The Asparagus 'Fries' are to die for and the B.C.S. is perfection. Mike was an awesome server! Thank you Fork for the fun and creative dining experience ◇
Megan Z
Completely worth it! We weren't able to make a reservation, and got put on a wait list. But I am happy we waited it out. We were seated inside in a booth. Our server was great. We ordered the:
Tomato Basil Fondue & Grilled Cheese
Crisped Brussels Sprouts
The B.C.S.
Crispy Chicken Tenders
Kid's Cheeseburger
The tomato fondue was basically a deconstructed grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup to dip it in. Fantastic!! The B.C.S. was very delicious. The smoked salmon may not be for everyone, we devoured it.
We hope to return and try other menu items.
Clarissa Perez-Machado
It was a great experience and the vibe was really chill. Loved it in the evening, awesome place to chill with friends.
A. Mac
Great place for Lunch!! Servers were charming and very attentive. Plenty of options for my vegetarian guests. Very upbeat cheerful atmosphere and friendly diners glad to give suggestions. Each of us had something different and all of it was delish! Great place to bring friends and family.
Josh Wakefield
Fork was forking amazing! The food was delicious and we really liked the Build-Your-Own-Mimosa! Highly recommend the Northwest Scramble! Next time I'll be getting 2 of those!
Samantha Trost
Absolutely AMAZING atmosphere. I loved that the glasses were old bottles, and the super neat light fixtures.
I stopped in for brunch before my flight home and got the Chef's Benny. It. Was. Delicious. 10/10 would get again. The eggs were perfect, the meat was delicious, and the English muffin was perfectly toasted. Most places I've been don't toast it, so it just gets all soggy. I loved the texture of the potatoes on the side, it was so unique!!
So long story short, I will be coming here EVERY time I'm in the area.
Rebecca Avery
One of our favorite places to go downtown. It's a nice restaurant with great food, but with a more casual atmosphere. Their burger is the best in Boise in my opinion, but there's so much to try for dinner options I haven't gotten it in a while.
Allison Larson
Delicious! Went for lunch and Asparagus appetizer was good. Brisket was so soft and flavorful as well as Mac and cheese and beet salad was packed with flavor. Service was top notch and wonderful! Will definitely be back for a full dinner!
Sarah Lee
The best restaurant in Boise. The only thing it lacks is a pretentious atmosphere. LOL
Jonelle Cornwell
We had 4 people in our party, each had a different cocktails, all were good. We all had different meals as well. In our group we have a DF & GF as well as a garlic allergy. The server was great at making sure we were able to order something that was safe to eat but also that we were excited about eating.
Food: Killer Smoked Brisket Mac-n-Cheese - So good! I never thought peanuts would be a good addition to mac n cheese. I was wrong.
Drinks: THREE IN THE CHAMBER - This is a great whiskey ginger that has been elevated to art! Seriously.
Christine Briskey
Service was great, food was amazing, I can’t wait to come back and try more items.
Kevin Napper
Great drinks and food.
Zachary McClanahan
One of my friends took me out to brunch for my birthday, the food was amazing! Do yourself a favor and get their brunch… better yet, take your spouse to brunch and enjoy their company!
In all seriousness it’s a great spot and I didn’t realize I had been missing out!
Natalia Austin
Amazing food! Can't wait to come again!
Suzanne Stein McNeil
Love the appetizer of Fried Asparagus with a nice creamy lemony sauce!

Right in the HEART IF DOWNTOWN BOISE!
Great FOOD! WONDERFUL DRINKS! Gotta try the Bloody Mary Bar for Sunday Brunch! The staff is lovely and will continue to enjoy each meal I try here!

On our big road trip this year, we decided to take a substantial detour in order to see more of the countryside as well as get to see Boise. Upon deciding this, we immediately searched up restaurants for lunch and settled on Fork. "Settled" is a poor word choice. More like we luckily ended up at Fork! Great restaurant in beautiful downtown Boise! Friendly staff. Delicious food. Reasonable prices. We were so pleased that we got to experience Fork and downtown Boise...we're already plotting a return trip (although will likely fly next time)!
Anyway, if you find your way here on travels or you live nearby, I think Fork is a great option in a cool city.

Great variety of appetizers! Each perfect! Dessert was wonderful!

I've been here twice and both times loved the food and service. My favorite is the caramel bread pudding - out of this world. It's a crowded and noisy restaurant, but I happen to enjoy that atmosphere. The first time I went here I ordered the trout, which was delicious, but while I was chatting with friends/juggling my baby, my plate was removed before I had finished the other half of the entree so that was a huge bummer. Still sore over that. But definitely going back (check these tasty mocktails my preggo friend and I ordered).

Local Idaho farmers sell their products and this place makes the best food i had in Boise, great bar selection and it's good for kids as well. Service is done by great people all the staff that interacted with here were wonderful.
Elba Jaco
Our server was absolutely amazing!! Great atmosphere and the food was delicious. Will definitely be back.
Patrick Anibaldi
Based on all the recommendations I expected the food to be better. The chicken had very little flavor and the beef roast was small. Very little vegies with dinner. Desert was excellent though.
Gina Starkey
This was my second time eating at Fork and it did not disappoint.
The food was beautiful, fresh and delicious!
We sat outside. The weather was perfect and added to the already great ambiance!
I can't wait to go back again! ❤️
Terry Langholdt
Had the brisket sandwich and it was delicious. Bartender kept the drinks flowing and I feel very well taken care of.
Ty Walsh
2 cocktails and some tacos. Love this restaurant and the setting. Great way to enjoy a group. Service was awesome and bathrooms were clean

I've eaten at Fork before and loved the food and the ambience. However, on my latest visit, without reservations, on a Thursday afternoon, my daughter and I stopped in for lunch. I asked for a booth, but was told they are for reservations only. That was okay with me and we were seated at a high table inside the restaurant. After sitting for a while and having our water brought out, I kept getting stung by something, possible a mosquito. My daughter was then stung. I went and asked the hostess if we could move to another table and showed her my bites. She said no, there were none available. I then asked if we could move to the bar where there were several empty chairs. She said she would have to ask the waiter if he would deliver our food there. After waiting for her and noticing her speaking to whom we believe was the manager, she came back and said no. At that point, we said okay and left. I regret we had already ordered our food, but I couldn't continue sitting there and being stung. I'm really sad that this wasn't the pleasant dining experience I had wished for my daughter and myself, as she had flown in from Houston for the weekend
Nate Wooding
Big fan of Fork. Great service from our waiter, and the food was delicious.
KJ P
If you want to go to an American style bar/grill, have good food, have good drinks, and good service, then this is the place for you.
Sidenote: they have daily specials.
Rob Haner
The Fork was a great resteruant with awesome food and service. Great atmosphere and great dinner choices. The only complaint I had was a lack of variety for appetizers.
Adam Thomas
Meh. I just don’t get why people rave about this place so much. If you want something that taste like a good home cooked meal, this is the place for you. It good. But not great.
Tiffany Jakkola
We added another person last minute to out reservation...they were more than accommodating. Great food..wonderful service.
Tim M
Everybody in our 7 person party enjoyed their meal and was satisfied with it. Great atmosphere, wonderful staff and varied menu to please everyone
Nox K
Grate good and good price, they had a the best salmon burger that they got rid off and now I don’t go there anymore, other than that the staff and nice, the atmosphere is classy and a good place to have a good time with friends.
Chris Smith
Love the concept. I shouldn’t have strayed from the daily menu. Unfortunately I opted for the “Monday daily special”. Being from KC, I should have know better. The ribs were served room temp. Luke warm at best. I’m not quite sure what the idea is here. Meat should be served hot! For health reasons #1. #2 it just taste better. Next time passing on the ribs.
Sharon leslie
Absolutely hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. The food was absolutely incredible. Everyone was so kind. Food was delivered promptly and each dish was carefully crafted. I highly recommend the huckleberry Italian soda. They even had fun activity packets for kids that went above and beyond the average crayon and coloring book. So glad i stumbled across this restaurant while visiting Boise. The flavors of everything left me completely satisfied, and happy. Even the kids cheeseburger was fantastic, fresh and flavorful. 12/10.

Seating: Nice Spread
Wait: Fairly Quick
Fried Asparagus: NOM NOM NOM
Cubano: Very Tasty and portion perfect !!!
Recommend: You and Yours !!!
Jeney Wierman
Bloody Marys, cinnamon roll, waffles and fried chicken and the huevos rancheros - all really good! The Bloody Marys were a tad on the small side (whatever happened to the pint glass??), But still tasty! The food was nicely portioned, minus the HUMONGOUS cinnamon roll. Delicious indeed!
Dakota Lester-Russell
The food, drinks, and service was amazing. 10 our of 5 stars for sure. We've recommended it since visiting and will be back if and when we are in Boise again!
Tim Landon
Great service, great food and an awesome atmosphere. Will surly go again.
Madeline Jesson
I’ve been here twice for brunch and it does not disappoint! Everything is delicious and fresh and the drinks are excellent as well. Plus, the interior of the restaurant is gorgeous.
Fabiano Santos
Really good burger. I enjoyed the outside seating area. Good all around experience.
Tony Martinez
Good food, the price on the menu does not reflect the actual cost, after our bill came in higher the waitress explained the new menu with the actual price will come out next month, poor waitress got less money for her tip, I wrote on the receipt the owner owes her 2 extra dollars for a total of 20%
Dennis Bishop
This was my first time visiting Fork and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere was great and so was the food. The staff was very friendly and took good care of us. I will definitely visit again when back in Boise.
Richard Parker
A must eat place when in Boise. Don’t skip it. Awesome food, location, vibe, etc.
Allen Burris
Great, fast service, even with a server in training. Amazing food and cocktails!
Nick V
A great place for food and drinks or just drinks with friends or coworkers! Love the downtown vibe and the staff is great! Make reservations!
Chanel Dial
The kids burger and fries were really good and I was planning on getting spaghetti and meatballs from the kids menu but they ran out of spaghetti so instead I ordered myself a burger and some fries and it was really good
MeShell
Grilled cheese fondue is where it's at. Their cuban sandwich if absolutely yummy. Can't wait to go back.
Evan Wright
Food was tasty, service was good. Pleasant outdoor dining spot to meet friends.
Glen Miller
We got a salad with a salmon fillet, and Brisket Mac n cheese, and beer. Both meals were very good. The place has a nice vibe. Warm and welcoming without being too casual or fancy. Will definitely go again.
Ally Miller
Delicious meals and great service. Extensive hot sauce bar/ collection. Can get a whole bottle of champagne for you table for mimosas. Locally sourced produce, relaxing hip environment.
Diana
It was ok. Our servers were great, one gal was training a new server - they were both awesome. I got the Cajun fried chicken sandwich with chips and both the chicken and the chips were burnt. There was only a small piece of chicken within the sandwich that was edible. The chips and chicken were way too brown… I was surprised either of the items were served since they were beyond over fried 😵💫
David Meloche
I took the wife for Valentine’s Day and dinner was awesome. I had some monkey wiskey drink that was very good. We had the grilled Mexican street cauliflower for appetizer spare ribs gluten free pulled pork sandwich and deconstructed cheesecake. The service was excellent and the food was every bit as good. Tons of GF options and the service is always friendly. One of my favorite restaurants.
E B
Great spot to go for lunch or dinner (their breakfast/brunch menu is a little limited). Business casual vibe and nice outdoor seating.
Mark Schumacher
The food and service are top notch! Their fried asparagus is awesome!!! Have visited Fork several times and always feel the hostess staff seems a bit snooty. If this was a Michelin top rated establishment, then I would expect that treatment. But it is not...?
Donna Calkins
Love asparagus fries! friendly staff and awesome food!
Matthew Baker
Great food and a great time. Everything we eat was awesome. Brussel sprouts and Asparagus for appetizers, Steak and potatoes, and the cake for dessert was all perfect.
Stacy S
We came here for birthday desserts and Fork did not disappoint. The butter cake was fantastic. Lexy was our server and she was so attentive. She recommended amazing wine and took such awesome care of us. Highly recommend Fork and try to dine in Lexy’s section if you can!
Katie LaFetra
Service, food and atmosphere were great. One of the nicer environment restaurants we ate at while staying in downtown Boise. We called to make a reservation and were told they were full, but could still walk in and be seated at the bar area. Ordered the cauliflower and lamb appetizers as well as the prime rib and they all were delicious. Definitely coming back again.
Del Zane
Fabulous place with great service and a unique menu. Definitely going back for more.
Alannah Long
Anyone who knows Fork know to get the asparagus fries. Consistently awesome every time! They have the kind of crunch that stays crunchy as leftovers if you manage to save any. There's nothing else to say but Asparagus fries :)
Eric Robinson
Great dinner. The Cubano was the excellent. Prime rib was very good. To Rachel, our server . . . thank you for your perfect food recommendations and for a great experience. We will be back.
Jason Kratochwill
One neg at end…but, great atmosphere and great, friendly staff. Craft cocktails were really well done and being from WI we know our way around a cocktail. Our apps were timely and great (cauliflower sprouts and fried asparagus) and my wife and daughters sandwiches were very good. The Monday ribs however were a big let down (and they push them aggressively)….the presentation and taste were good but they were the toughest ribs I have ever had in my entire 52 yrs and have ribs regularly. I had to saw them with knife. Saw them. I would guess the chef was tardy getting them going and rushed with higher heat. You can’t hide a smoking process. Would for sure recommend Fork but would never get ribs again and can’t recommend them. Sorry.
Shelly Lennox
I would have given a five star if it weren't for the convoluted menu. Food quality was a five but the menu seemed like it was a catch all rather than picking a lane & staying in the lane. No main meal felt complete. I wound up getting the lamb lollipops from the starters menu as it wasn't offered as a meal. I then added a sharing size of mashed potatoes and the veggie of the day plus a salad to pull my meal together. Unfortunately the lamb chops came out ahead of the mashed potatoes & salad and the veggie of the day never arrived. It wasn't even on the tab so I'm perplexed that the server missed it completely. Perhaps she should have reviewed what she thought I was ordering before departing to ring it in.
Sadie B
Super delicious food! I suggest the BCS or burger. But honestly everything is good. I had to wait a while for a table, but it was a very busy weekend and they text you when your table is ready. Great place, I highly recommend!
Kerri O'Hara
The food is always excellent, but the service tonight went above and beyond. We ordered food for pick up, but didn’t check the order before we left. When we got home we noticed we were missing one entree and another was wrong. We called to see if we could come back to get what we wanted. Instead, they delivered it and tossed in their famous Butter Cake. Thank you!! Boise is lucky to have you!
Mj Williams
Great food! Great service! Great atmosphere! Lots of gluten free options that aren't just salad too. My fiance is allergic to gluten and absolutely adored their gf option of the grown up grilled ham & cheese. Will definitely be coming back..
Issa Maalouf
Great as usual! Very beautiful setting ,atmosphere and vibes! The food is great... I had till now a burger, a tomato basil soup, fried asparagus, butter cake , a house salad ... very friendly staff and manager ! Excellent service! I love this place! It is highly recommended!!!
Victoria Crawford
We’ve been to for 3 times since moving to Boise in late January and we love it so much. We’ve been for brunch 2x and lunch another time. Portions are great. Flavors are amazing. We can’t wait to eventually make our way there for dinner sometime soon!
I’d suggest getting the huge cinnamon roll as a breakfast sharing plate! So so good.
Scarlet V
We love eating at Fork and the food is not only delicious but beautifully presented.
Chelsea Skovran
This is a must visit place for anyone visiting Boise who has a gluten intolerance/cealics disease. The entire staff was incredibly knowledgeable, didn't make me feel like my dietary restriction was a burden, large selection of options, and the food was delicious!
Liz T
Our meal was just ok. I liked the farm to fork concept and the outdoor seating looked great. Inside was a bit dated. It may have been our order so I don't want to say the food overall isn't great, other items might be very good. Was just a little disappointed in execution. That said our servers were great and even credited us partially for thongs that didn't come out right.
Andrew Kozlowski
First off, the hostess accidentally took down my wrong phone to call me back when our table was ready (it was most likely my fault for providing it too quickly). When we eventually came back, she informed me they were no longer seating for dinner and she apologized several times for the mistake. Since we were starving, she went and checked to see if we could get in after they stopped seating. She was given the okay and we were seated.
Our waitress was amazing. She provided great recommendations and was attentive. Our food was phenomenal. My wife and I split the steamed clams, street tacos and the spring pea ravioli. All we're wonderful.
Madailein McLenna
I always feel so special when I dine at the Fork. Food and service never disappoints. We love sitting at the bar top and watching the bartenders work their magic!
Krystal Scott
This place is definitely a top5 favorite of mine. The service and food quality is top notch. The BAM Sammy is one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. They exude freshness, quality, and high standards in all of their food and service.
Rachael Wright
They don’t have a happy hour but you will be happy any hour you spend in here. The food is healthy without being flavorless yet the portions are quite sizable.
Patty Green
Had a wonderful lunch at Fork today. Sat at the bar and was served by Tyler, the bartender, who was wonderful and super sweet. I watched him make some amazing cocktails while taking care of his customers and the entire restaurant. We had the brisket Sammy and the BLT Sammy with asparagus fries. Just a super fun and friendly place. We will be back.
Dennis Porter
This restaurant is a place everyone should go! It has everything for the family and is very well prepared. Fish is fresh when in season and the burgers are delicious. Salads with fresh Salmon or the trout are fabulous. David in the bar for lunch and Ellie are the best!!!! Must try!!!
Dontell Jedson
I've been here twice and the staff delivered great service both times. It doesn't hurt that nearly everyone is hot too
Robert McClintic
Good food and a nice atmosphere. Our server Tony was great and very attentive. It’s a Boise must stop and it lives up to the reputation.
Jr Richardson
Good food decent selection. Our server Tylor was 5*+. Nice patio for outdoor dining dog friendly. Solid 4.5.
Bernhard Pfeifer
Made a reservation because I knew it's very difficult to get in for brunch. Haven't been to Fork in almost 5 years. The service was fast. Very friendly staff all around from the server to food runner. Food was amazing!! Ate off the brunch menu and couldn't finish my meal. Well worth it and will definitely be back again!
Elias Spooner
This is the best place to eat in downtown Boise. Me and my girlfriend take trips to Boise often and we struggled for a while to find a place that served constantly good food that left us wanting more. Our food struggle was quenched when we came across fork. The variety of options on the menu from savory tacos to perfectly crafted sandwiches and burgers, makes sure that everyone can get something that they like. The atmosphere inside and outside is rustic and peaceful. The music is never to loud and the service is always on point. They always make sure to give excellent suggestions and keep your glass full. I’m writing this after my 7th or 8th visit and every time I eat here I get the same amazing experience. The prices are more than fair ,with a portion large enough to have leftovers if you don’t eat a lot at one time like me. I hope that you take a chance on this local restaurant, because with a staff that goes to these lengths to give us this experience, it deserves to be enjoyed.
Bravo fork, bravo
James McFall
Great place! Bartender Shannon was awesome, drinks were tasty, food was top notch.
Nathalie Defrenne
Food was great. Staff was great. Atmosphere is a little loud because the space is open and big.
Matt Boeringa
Everything we ate here was amazing. Well worth it, and we came all the way from Dallas!
Miranda A
The food is absolutely amazing and the outdoor atmosphere was lovely. The waiter was extremely kind and attentive. He shared stories and made me and my mother feel very welcome. Thank you so much for your kindness Greg!
Update: I returned here on Mother’s Day and the food and customer service had massively dropped in quality. My mom was disappointed and so was I. Maybe they had an off day so, I’ll give them another try in the future.
David Haworth
Enjoyed my Birthday with my wife last night. We started with the asparagus fries....dang it was great! The prime rib was oustanding. My wife had the salmon with green beans and loved it. She also enjoyed a couple of prickly pear margaritas and said she would order it again on her next visit. A great way to end your experience is to order the warm butter cake. You will not regreat it!
Derek Thurston
Had a fantastic dinner on the patio at Fork. Great food experience. The fondue appetizer was a hot with the whole family. Kids loved their Italian sodas. The butter cake was decadent and a perfect finish to the evening.
Jim Cabak
Nice location down town. Prices were reasonable. Service was good. Plenty of variety in food choices.
Talal Jabari
Finding an open restaurant on Sunday evening in Boise is a challenge to say the least, but we found Fork, and I'm really glad we did.
The restaurant, that's house in an old bank, had a really cool ambiance about it, the staff is very welcoming, and the menu options are quite diverse.
I chose Idaho rainbow trout, which came on a bed of succotash, and added a side of asparagus to the order.
The entire dish was delicious!
**COVID- related: this was the one establishment in Boise that we found where the staff are all masked.
Ron McNally Realtor
Shared meal with my friend. We had chicken with stuffed pasta with spinach with sauce. I ordered apparatus fries with ranch dressing. My grandson had child meat balls and spaghetti in red sauce. My 12 year old finished a teenages portion.
Heather Dudney Stone
The Best restaurant in Boise, great cocktails the only place we go to celebrate
Katie Johnson
This place was phenomenal! Our server Christy was absolutely amazing. The ambiance, the location and the food were excellent. We had some brussel sprouts that were to die for and the lamb shanks were fantastic! Christy suggested a pinot noir wine and it was an awesome choice. I was just visiting Boise and and I wish there was one in North Idaho where I live.
Kathryn Brown
Awesome beer! I had the huckleberry cream ale and my boyfriend got the juicy IPA. The appetizers were good. The main course was very filling. Lots to choose from.
Only thing I was sad about was that some stuff wasn't available till 4PM. I would've loved to try the enchiladas.
Zakk Severns
Always go here for the best dishes and amazing food. A "FORK" is best for most menu items but some the dessert items will force you to us a spoon. The staff and atmosphere is perfect for any occasion. A boise gem that is here to stay!!!!
Andrea
Huli huli chicken was amazing, right amount of brown sugar to soy ratio. Fried Asparagus was a hit. Now, the butter cake was a disaster. It was dry, over cooked and so hot it burnt the inside of my mouth. I will definitely be back to see if they can redeem themselves.
Kevin Hines
I've been here a few times for a variety of reasons and have had a great experience each time. My latest trip here was no different. Friendly staff and great tasting food. Great atmosphere, drink selection along with a variety of food (some more expensive plates but others more budget friendly). Great Boise landmark would definitely recommend!
Courtney Yotter
Great brunch and drinks! Servers are always on point and have great recommendations. They have great vegan and gluten free options across all menus
Grace Ocker
Excellent food and nice atmosphere. Staff was friendly and took great care of us. Had the tacos for an appetizer and they were amazing! Had a Cuban sandwich as my boyfriend got a burger, both very good. Had to save room for dessert and got the bread pudding and it was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had! Warm bread pudding with ice cream... delicious!
Toby Martini
Straightforward American fare well done. Chicken and Huli sauce was quite good. Veggies good. Could have use a bit more of the mashed potatoes, good.
My server, Heather, was exceptional, energetic and attentive. Made for a great experience.
GoLAangels
Good food and nice atmosphere. Chicken on the salad was a little dry but didn’t order dressing with it so that probably explains why. Burgers were good but our favorite parts of the meal were the fried asparagus and taco appetizer. Both were very good!
Cherise Retherford
Best salad around! Fresh food, great service and atmosphere!
Mila Z
Asparagus fries were good. We got the special of spare ribs which were incredibly over cooked and dry.
Cory Bergfalk
We found the menu to be plentiful, varied yet deliberate in their selection. Service was good, food was better and the drinks menu was inclusive featuring many local craft beers, local wineries, as well as hand crafted cocktails. If you're looking for a pleasant meal in an beautiful location. Fork should be your first stop.
Jace Ercanbrack
With its authentic American vibe matched with an old town feel, this is a must for those craving American food. I got the burger, it is easily one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Do not skip dessert, the butter cake is absolutely to die for. My only regret is that I do not live in Idaho. In order to get that butter cake on a daily basis, it is some of the best cake I’ve ever had.
I will make a point every time I go to Boise to eat here.
Viraj Patel
Only had the Forks Signature Warm Butter Cake and it's fantastic.
Yvonne Burruel
Food was not up to our expectations. Server was delightful but food was just not very tasty.
Bradd Kordenbrock
I've been here a few times. With family as well as date nights with my wife. The food is very good. I wish the portions were slightly larger for the cost but I get it for the setting. Service is on point. Certainly worth a try if you're looking for a some good food and a very inviting upscale atmosphere. I believe it used to be a bank so there is an vault downstairs. Pretty cool building.
Kara Killeen
You can't go wrong with any of the appetizers. Make sure to ask what the portion size is for your choice because they seem to vary. Love how many local businesses they use on their menu!!!
David Almura
Fork is the best. Always very forkish. You don’t have to worry about any spoonishness ruining your dinner. My aunt was able to bring her dialysis machine inside and that was great, but it did smell bad. The forks smelled much better than the dialysis machine.
Cheryl Martin
Great food. Loved the roasted Brussel sprouts.
Eric Wingerson
Food was good. Not quite as good as expected. I had the brisket sandwich which lacked the flavor I was expecting from smoked beef. Smashed potato appetizer was very good Wait was shorter than predicted. Waitress was very helpful.
Mikey McGuire
Really enjoyed dinning here. The atmosphere was very pleasant. The food was very well prepared and our waiter was wonderful. Look forward to dining here in the future. I had the burger which was amazing and my husband had the trout which he loved. We also had the shrimp and grits as an appetizer. The presentation of the food was very well done.
Steve Scheu
Best hot buttered rum I have ever had!
Andrew Stern
Food and service were wonderful! Drinks were also quite good. Great looking place as well, with older details. Highly recommend stopping here if you are in Boise.
Christopher Clouse
I ordered the Taco's and Asparagus fries, definitely not disappointed and would love to come back to Boise to take the wife here!
Jennifer Manning
As always Fork is delicious. Amazing food and vibe.
Stephanie Rogner
Delicious! Our party of three plus our dog enjoyed very last bite. The grain bowl minus egg (I'm testing a vegan diet), tomato bisque (friend), and a bacon cheese burger we're all delicious and I'm even tempted to go back for dinner! The spicy Bloody Mary was just right and the onion rings for an appetizer were filling and tasty.
Travis Patton
The food was good but if the price was less it would be perfect.
Katie G
Wonderful customer service and beautifully done unique menu items. I was giddy as can be when I found they catered to vegetarians. Pictured is the vegetarian ravioli.
Geoffrey Parkford
Food was great and service from Talon was superb. I would recommend!
Thomas Evans (tmecolorado)
We chose to stop for dinner on Boise and had planned on visiting another restaurant, we were so happy to have dropped on to Fork instead. The flash fried asparagus was unique and very tasty. The trout was well prepared and presented. The Chicken Salad was memorable for the mix of greens and the dressing - the chicken itself was so so. The drinks were very good too. It makes the return visit list for sure.
Sarah Afshar
Fork is a very forward yet rustic restaurant located in the heart of downtown Boise. I absolutely enjoyed the spring pea and mascarpone raviolis. Truth be told, I usually don’t eat raviolis without ricotta cheese, but it works here. The vegetarian enchiladas were good, but not great nor amazing. The butter cake is probably my favorite thing on the menu, as it’s the best thing I’ve tried here. The presentation of the food is very decent. If you love taking food photos, this is a good place to do it. It’s a bit pricy for what you get (almost $50 for some dishes) but it’s a great place if you are in downtown Boise and looking to enjoy good food.
Jennifer Robinson
One of my favorite places. I love the 3 in the chamber!
Caroline Weiss
Had a wonderful dinner. The food was amazing. The tenderloin was cooked perfectly to my liking. The butter cake desert was exquisite. Very professional and friendly service. Great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and go back!
Niki Oquist (OquistStamps)
Excellent food and service. Filet was perfectly cooked and short rib melted in your mouth. Always very good service. Zoe is THE BEST server!
Kristin Persick
This is one of our favorite restaurants for special occasions! We’ve eaten here several times over the past 3 years and we are never disappointed. The menu is a little smaller than some other restaurants but everything on it is FANTASTIC! So flavorful and creative! Definitely nothing average on the menu. And their service is always above and beyond!
Nadra
I love this place! I will admit, the service is sometimes hit or miss; but it is between an “amazing” experience and a “good” experience. It’s never been bad. The wait staff is all very nice, the food is very great quality for the price, and I absolutely love the atmosphere.
Rhonda Ramm
Bryan was a seasoned writer. The food was fresh and delicious.
Chaz Meyers
This place is good!! Must try the butter cake dessert! The cactus pear margarita was on point!
James Tomlinson
Excellent Chicken and Waffles!
One of my favorites in Boise
Joshua Fox
I have gone to this restaurant too many times to count and if there is one thing they should be applauded for it is their consistency. I know I can always count on great quality, average service (not bad, but not super fast), and fair pricing. I would recommend any specials they have and you must eat that butter cake if you stop by. If you let deciding where to eat and you want good quality without breaking the bank, you can’t go wrong with Fork!
Niki Caliguire
A Boise staple - highly recommend coming for brunch (but make sure you make a reservation ahead of time as they are often busy from open to close).
We've always appreciated the quality of service, the variety of locally-sourced food, and the "mocktail" options on their menu. They're incredibly accommodating of dietary restrictions and can often swap in and out ingredients when necessary.
Be sure to check them out when the weather is nice enough to sit on the patio!
DudeGos
Tied alot of the difrent dishes here...great food, great service, and reasonable prices. Always have great service. The only issues I have had here are minor. The one thing I would stay away from is the French fries. If you want good fried food..not your place. Not worth it, soggy and stale. I have tried them on more than one occasion and always asked for fresh ones...however they come out the same.
Sarah Wang
Delicious locally sourced food! Very creative dishes. I had the chicken and waffle sliders. I did not indulge but the build your own bloody Mary bar looked amazing. There were even several kids in for brunch. Also prices were reasonable for the portions
Chadly Anderson
Good was really good. Dessert was great. Our waiter, he wasn't the greatest. He seemed annoyed with us the whole time.
Marc Patrick Brown
I wasn't very hungry, so I only ordered the asparagus fries and tomato bisque. Both were very good. Very pleased with the service, too. Proper balance of attentiveness and friendly. Atmosphere is pleasant as well. Classy, but not pretentious.
Jess Devore
I feel like this restaurant is way too over hyped! The food was okay, but not anything special. Drinks didn't even taste like they had alcohol in them. Super disappointed in what we were told... "one of Boise's best restaurants". Probably wont be back
jeff lowe
Jared was amazing, cool friendly guy with a great knowledge of drinks and fun places to explore in downtown boise. The lamb chops were very good but...... the brisket mac n cheese and the Cuban sandwich were on another level!!! Will definitely be coming back!!!
mell flood
Takeout order: I understand takeout isn’t ever going to be as fresh, but it tasted like the ingredients were pre made and prepared in a box. The burger consisted of a large box with the buns and toppings, and two small boxes for the burger and fries. The fries were cold and soggy and nothing was remotely warmed when we picked it up. The burger again was cold and didn’t have much flavor. It was fine, but I would recommend if coming for just a burger go else where and maybe going in at less busy time (6:30 on Sat) would result in warmer food.
Val Gillas
Fun patio seating. Service was welcoming and accommodating. I've been traveling solo for a few weeks and it's always interesting the way servers/hosts react to single guest especially with limited seating in todays environment. They were very sweet.
I highly recommend the asparagus appetizer - Amazing!
Viktoriya I
Absolutely loved the food. I had the Boise salad with smoked salmon! Wow, it was delicious. Great service, beautiful restaurant. The only downside is the mandatory masks. Not a fan of having to wear a mask if I'm not sick, it restricts oxygen which poses danger to my health. Doesn't make sense, other than that I loved the farm to table menu.
Daniel Craig
Really nice dinner outside on their patio! Loved the food and service.
Kerri Gilbertson
I can’t say enough good things about this place. The food, service and atmosphere were all spot on! Definitely a place I would recommend and return to.
Mike Lewis
A true class act of a restaurant - all the way through - such incredible food!!! The service is exceptional, the food is mind-blowing, and we will come back, and back, and back again until we try every delicious feature on your menu. Thanks for setting the standard for high-quality (yet still casual) dining in the Boise area. Really, we eat out a lot and always try new places to see what they have... But the Fork is off the charts in all aspects. Hat's off to the owners (and the chef) for keeping the standards high. Worth every penny.

Went to this place for a celebration dinner - and was impressed as to the service and food options. They really took care of us, and their food was well done. Burger was huge, brussel sprouts were tasty, and they refilled your drinks quite frequently. Everyone had a great meal, and left happy. If you are in this area, get a bite here. It's worth it

Very nice restaurant downtown. Clean, spacious and great attention to detail. The trout was fantastic with a few cold beers. My wife had the short ribs, which I helped myself to as well. Friendly staff. Will certainly be back.

Sensational food. Great atmosphere.

We ordered the salmon family meal and were so amazed at how tasty it was. It most defiantly fed 4 adults with leftovers. The salmon was done to perfection, the risotto was delicious and the Brussels sprouts I would order again and again. Well done Fork!

Overall a good dining experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They get 5 stars. The burger and salad we ordered were well made and very tasty, though I would say my French fries were a bit dry and bland. The signature Old Fashioned with vanilla bean was not good. It tasted weak and watered down. Shouldn’t be on the menu in my opinion.

The restaurant is gorgeous and well designed, the lighting is dim and its great for a fancy date. The decor during Christmas is exquisite. The food is prepared wonderful and is not too greasy or heavy. The food is full of flavor and the bread is amazing. My favorite is the tomato soup on a snowy day. For Brunch they have an AMAZING bloody mary bar, probably the best in town. the service is great and the food is great for the price. If you're a picky eater it has great options that aren't too "out there" It has a high end appearance, Yet a homey Atmosphere. This is by far my Favorite Restaurant in town.

So.... fried asparagus. Sounds interesting, let's try that.
AMAZING. Great place, food all around is pretty solid. Tablemates did chicken, soup, brisket & Mac and cheese, brisket sandwich. Everyone was pretty happy.

Absolutely amazing. I drop at least $500 every visit. We accidentally paid twice once and we had such a good time we left one payment as a tip. My girl and I eat at some of the best restaurants throughout the entire Northwest. This place is in the top 3. Do yourself a favor and when you first meet your server as them to please reserve a piece of Butter Cake for your desert. Don't even read it's description because simple words can't explain it. The reasoning behind the reservation for desert will be understood after the first bite. Absolutely amazing that Boise is home to this establishment.

First time there. Great restaurant. Had the Monday special, spare ribs which were very good. Had the asparagus appetizer, which were great and I am not a big fan of asparagus. Everyone at our table enjoyed their dinners. Would go again as there are lots of items I would like to try.

Fork has been and continues to be one of the very best restaurants in Boise. It's consistent; consistently fantastic. I usually get their spare ribs which is a pot roast style but on Monday night their special was BBQ pork ribs. The waiter suggested it and I'm so glad he did. One of the best BBQ pork ribs I've had and the best I've had anywhere in the Boise valley. The BBQ baked beans were a little cold but the flavor was fantastic; sweet, a bit of spice, and maybe some whiskey?!?! Got the special grilled artichoke heart and not being a huge fan of artichokes, this was wonderful with charred smoke flavor. Strawberry fields salad really lets the ingredients talk for themselves and is very light on dressing. And you can't go to Fork without saving room for their Butter Cake. Just the best dessert anywhere in Boise. And last but not least, service is always top notch. Wonderful server, great knowledge (wish I got his name), and very friendly and helpful. If you want a great meal (or cocktail!), make sure to visit Fork when in Boise!

Wonderful experience. My wife and I went here for our anniversary. Staff was knowledgeable and attentive. The food, from appetizers and drinks, through entree and dessert was excellent.
Highly recommend making a reservation and going soon.
We had the brussel sprout appetizer, trout and steak for entrees, and butter cake for dessert. Not a complaint to be had.

Our server was David, and he was so kind and accommodating we are just sad we don't live here! I'm a bit of a high maintenance diner with a dairy allergy and he went out of his way to make sure I had something to eat that was delicious and not just dairy free. He also brought us many tastes of wine and helped us picked a great bottle. The portion sizes are great. The food was wonderful as well, although we we're jealous of the table next to us and totally wished we had sprung for the steak and green beans. Most everything is local and great quality.

Fresh great food and the staff and service are out standing.

I went here last Sunday for brunch and was amazed we had 0 wait & got to sit outside. Our waitress was so sweet to my daughter even though she was having a silly melt down. The food was fantastic. I had the Boise Bibimbop breakfast bowl, which has an spicy Asian food feel but with eggs. It was a fun mix up. High recommended this place!

YUM! First time being here and chose the Trout after reading reviews. So delicious! Cooked with the skin on so it’s nice and crispy- I’ve honestly never eaten fish WITH the skin on it was that good. It’s served on top farro (which is looks like barely) but is infused with garlic and crispy as well. Super good! Lauren was our server for our table of 14 and was amazing! Kept all our drinks full and bellies happy! We showed up 2 1/2 hours early to our reservation (by our bad) and Jenn was super sweet, she got us in on a busy Saturday night for 14 of us. So thankful for her! Lastly, after reading reviews decided to try the Butter Cake... oh my gosh... comes out hot, ice cream on top and served with berries and a type of berry sauce over the top. We will be back to try more options, thank you!!

A solid restaurant. The fries were great and I was pleasantly surprised when they actually cooked my burger super rare upon request. Probably one of the best burgers I've had in recent memory.
Quality: High, fairly greasy but that's the type of food.
Portion Size: Large. Definitely had some sides leftover.
Cost: $$$, it was fairly high for the area.
Service: Great
Atmosphere: Place as pretty loud, almost cafeteria like. But, our table was in the middle of the room.
Would I go back? - Totally, but I do remember the prices being fairly high.
TL;DR - A solid restaurant. They will actually cook the burger bloody rare too!

Lots of different items to try, service was good. Food was very. Love grilled cheese tomatoe basil fondue app and butternut squash soup. Price was good. Didn't like either drinks we tried just weren't my taste, nothing wrong with them.

Love the mushroom appetizer and the asparagus one as well. The Brussels sprouts have a kick and are good same with the cauliflower. The salad was not my favorite but I did eat my partners delicious sandwich.
Richard Gaskill
The food was delicious! Our server was polite and was very efficient. We had so much fun. Each of our dishes came out exactly how we wanted. I highly recommend the Glazed Brussel Sprouts and the Asparagus Fries.

Been several times now. Great cocktails. Food is above average American fare. We ordered the roasted chicken and maple bacon salad. Salad was a 10/10 but the chicken was surprisingly bad. It had clearly been cooked much earlier in the day or the day before. Highly recommended but steer clear of the chicken.

This was our first time here and we were NOT disappointed. I had the BCS Boise chopped salad. It was the most incredible salad I have ever eaten. My husband had the tenderloin steak and crispy Brussel sprouts. He is a carnivore and he said it was the BEST steak he has ever eaten. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our waiter was incredible and he made us feel like royalty. This is now #1 on our list.

First time to Fork. Great atmosphere at this locally sourced farm to table restaurant. The food is very well served and the taste is awesome. We had the Tomato Basil Fondue with Grilled cheese bites and the Bacon Beer Cheese Dip with bagel bites for appetizers. The Cuban sandwich and the Adult Ham and Cheese were also great! We finished off our meal with the Butter Cake! OMG!
Kim French
This was our first time at Fork. Very very pleased with everything. The food was top notch, mixed drinks were tasty, as was the dessert. The staff were friendly and helpful without hovering. We were tempted to roam around downtown for awhile and return for dinner, it was that delicious. Me and the hubby will definitely be returning and look forward to introducing our family to Fork ❤️

Carson, and staff were amazing to us. They made sure our food was cooked the way it was supposed to be and very kind. Would recommend!
Clay Lindquist
I wish there was a 4.5 option. For a long time I wasn’t a fan, but the last time I went the food was fantastic. I had the half chicken and it was wonderful. The building is one of my favorites in Boise. That doesn’t have much to do with the restaurant. Very good, but has been a bit inconsistent in the past.
Ken Porter
Inviting atmosphere, good food. The asparagus fires are very good, but definitely still asparagus. So if you don't like asparagus they might not change your mind. Red wine braised short ribs are delicious, would recommend. If you plan on going, a reservation ahead of time is a safe plan. We were in on a Monday night and it was quite crowded.
Minh Quang Nguyen
Fantastic food and staff. And oh do I love their wine selection!!! Lots of local stuffs to choose from. We were on the wait list for 30min because stupid me forgot to make a reservation but the wait was definitely worth it! Highly recommend and will definitely be back when we're visting town!

We came for the first time on Mothers Day for lunch and it was outstanding! Everybody absolutely loved their dishes. (My son had the chicken and waffles - mind blowing!) We were also impressed with the local food sources on the menu and friendly staff. The drink menu is also one of the most creative I've seen. (If you enjoy huckleberry, their particular cocktail was fantastic!) We will definitely be back!!

Update: Fork made the wrongs right with a thoughtful gift card for our second visit. Thank you!
I went there for my birthday today and was not impressed. First of all, they didn’t even care that it was my birthday. I didn’t make a big deal of it, but my family did and the waitress didn’t seem to care. On top of your outrageous prices, the waitress charged for a drink that we did not want AND not even a free dessert for my birthday or anything. The food wasn’t that great either. Most restaurants do at least something to make a person feel special. I did not and I will make sure people know about my experience here. Overall, we were overcharged and I did not feel special on my birthday here. Very terrible experience.

Everything we ordered on the brunch and drinks menu was phenomenal. The service was great and all employees had masks on.
Will be back for the lunch and dinner menus!

On our first day in Boise, while walking around downtown, we came across a restaurant that looked hopping. When in doubt go where the crowds are eating. A very complete menu, lots of interesting starters, we had the fried asparagus with a dipping sauce. Very good choice for sure. My daughter had the cream of broccoli soup and salad. Both quickly disappeared. I had a Cuban that was filled with pork and ham and pressed perfectly. The burgers were a nice sized but not overbearing. Cooked to perfection. A nice selection of beers on tap as well, always a plus in my book. Round it out with an assortment of tasty desserts and you can't go wrong.

TLDR: Food is good, just don’t bother with large groups.
I have had great experiences at Fork in the past. Good food and atmosphere. The cinnamon rolls are the best I’ve ever had. Was truly fond of this place and was excited to come back.
Unfortunately that all changed today.
My family and I were out for an early dinner and of course Fork was at the top of our shortlist. So we decided to drive the 30min downtown. Upon arriving at 5pm on a Tuesday we asked for a table of 8 in a fairly empty restaurant. We were informed that there were some larger reservations in the next 30min to hour and they couldn’t seat us until 8pm. So we were asked if we would like to wait 3 hours to eat there.
Hostess didn’t try to make an concessions, ask anyone if they could accommodate us, didn’t try to help us out at all. Honestly seemed to take a bit of strange joy in turning us away.
Obviously we went elsewhere, maybe we will return but I’m not sure the cinnamon rolls will taste as good with this bitter taste in our mouths.
Disappointed to say the least.

Been there multiple dinner occasions for past 2 years. First time brunch here. Ordered Boise Bibimbap Breakfast Bowl, drip coffee. Food here never disappoint me. Fresh, not huge portion, flavorful, great combination.

Loved the atmosphere and food was superb. I got the highlighted salad which was incredible. I wanted to try the butter cake which I've heard rave reviews on and found it personally not my favorite. I'm sure it is an amazing cake but just not my personal preference :). overall good experience and I love the relationship between the restaurant and local businesses

Excellent food here! My husband and I split the CBS salad with chicken and the Urban Burger and everything was delicious. We also shared the butter cake—heavenly! Fork has a large drink menu with lots of different liquor selections. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because service was a little slow. However, the staff was very friendly, and I still recommend!

Had a fabulous brunch on Sunday. The bloody Mary bar was fantastic. Nice atmosphere and friendly help. Our waitress forgot our appetizers so she made it up with great gluten free dessert. Oh darn!
Everybody had gluten free and could not tell difference. Wife got gf bun that tasted as good as wheat.
Highly recommend to eat and relax.
Food came out quickly. We did not have reservations but still seated right away. Would call in the future.

My wife and I have been to Fork three times. Each time the service and food have been exceptional. We've tried the trout, the pork loin, the urban burger, and the prime rib sandwich - all excellent. We both agree that the desserts we've tried - both the bread pudding and the butter cake - are the best we've had anywhere. They offer a good selection of mixed drinks. My wife has enjoyed the Huckleberry Gemini and the Fork Lemonade. I've always found a beer offering that has appealed to me, as well. It is I think the best dining experience I've had in Boise, and arguably one of the best I've had anywhere. On top of all that, the price is reasonable. We've spent as much on dinner at a sports bar where the food isn't nearly as good and the atmosphere not nearly as polished.
Hannah Thyberg
Absolutely delicious food! Interesting menu with locale fare and options for GF/V. The chicken & waffle sliders were phenomenal. Great service and lovely presentation. Highly recommend!

Bibimbap Breakfast Bowl. A delicious delight. Best brunch downtown Boise. 👍🏻 …

We had a fantastic meal at Fork tonight. Staying in Boise while road tripping through Idaho, we pulled into town pretty late but were lucky enough to be seated by the kind hostess. The service was great from the very beginning. Our waitress Leslie was attentive and friendly. We ordered the Boise chopped salad with smoked salmon to share as an appetizer which was absolutely delicious- we pretty much licked the plate clean. I had the artichoke ravioli which were very good and my date had the trout which he enjoyed as well. After the salad, the fries were our favorite part of the meal. My only complaint would be the noise level. Overall we feel so lucky to have ended up at such a great restaurant.
