CasaBlanca Cuban Grill is an excellent authentic Cuban restaurant. The Margaritas were amazing, drank them too fast to take a picture. The same goes for the sampler platter though I did include a picture of the finished plate. I ate every bit of my pork chop, rica and Yucca. I will be back, and will definitely plan to be there during happy hour again.

This is a very nice Cuban restaurant with excellent ambiance and world class inviting good service. All who come here will enjoy it with many choices on the menu. The roast pork sandwich with sweet potatoes and sangria is wonderful not cooked with too much oil!

The Cuban sandwich is value for the money. Whole one is 10 usd. The bread is toasted very well and texture is soft inside. I also order croquetas to taste . The flavor is ok with much mashed potatoes with some spices inside.

We’ve driven by this unassuming little restaurant for years but today we finally stopped. After having fantastic Cuban food in Little Havana Miami, we wanted to try the Boise flair. Amazing. We did the simple lunch combo to get a feel for it at a super affordable price. We will definitely be back to try some of the other items on their menu.

This spot has the best sangria I have ever tried I’m usually not a fan but here they are like juice and they sneak up on you! So keep that in mind. Drink as many as you like at your own risk. This restaurant definitely delivers when it comes to Cuban food. If you love Cuban food this is your spot!

This place has some of the most authentic and delicious Cuban food that I've had. The meat had a perfect roast, the sides were not merely there to decorate but were all flavorful and well thought out down to the pickled round of banana pepper. Dinner for two with two desserts was only $45, leaving plenty of room to tip well for an extremely polite staff. Staff. Also, something that I love, everything was absolutely spotlessly clean.

My friend and I go here for the ambiance and the authentic cuisine. The staff is always pleasant and gives us the home treatment. The food is SO good. It’s not to be confused with Newyocuban, which is fabulous in itself. It’s different.

Love this place!!!! The Masas de Fritas is always amazing. The service is quick but not rushed and the servers are always friendly. I’ve been there multiple times with a couple of friends and in a larger group ~ 15 people with no concerns. They can take personalized orders and have Coke products (personal fave). The ambiance is fun, low key, clean and authentic. Will be a forever go to!

Wow, what a find! I am here TDY and found this restaurant by accident. So glad I did. The staff is very friendly and I believe they are all family to one another. The restaurant is clean and smells good. The food, awe man the food......sooooo good. I truly can't describe it. You have to try it to understand. I have never been to Cuba, but I bet this is true Cuban food. The prices are reasonable and portion sizes are large. I highly, highly recommend this restaurant.

Cuban sandwiches can't be beat. And this place is legit. Lunch deal is fantastic, half a Cuban sandwich and the soup of the day. The sandwich was perfect. The bread was nicely crisp and crunchy, the pork was delicious and smoky. The flavors were in perfect proportion. The soup was beef vegetable and was so nicely and delicately balanced. I had one great bite of plantain that sticks with me. Beef was tender and slightly rich. The staff was friendly without being fake and very on point. I'll be back here for sure.

The customer service: It cannot be called “customer” service if you are welcomed into a Cuban home, right? If you are greeted like a family member then you are not a “client”, you are cousin Phil, away for a while and coming back home for some rice and beans with “ropa vieja” and a nice cup of café Pilón. If you have never been among Cubans you will be surprised by these facts: They are very animated when they speak, like Sicilians but with straw hats or Fedoras and guayaberas. They walk like they are dancing, when the waitress brings the food to you it’s like an invitation to mambo, to rumba. It’s all about the hips and the shoulders! Even if you haven’t ever been there before, they treat you like an old friend, somebody they are happy to see again. The smiles are authentic, the accents too. I don’t know about you but those Rs properly rolled are like music to my ears. Like Rrrricky Rrrricarrrdo. They insist their food is the best Cuban food in the planet. They may be into something here. Let’s check that claim out: The Food I was born and raised in central Cuba, I lived in Havana for seventeen years. I come from a family of feeders and eaters, on Sundays the big table brought outside, “chicken fricassse” or “goat chilindrón” or “masas fritas” as the central dish and salads and rice and fabulous old time homemade fruit desserts but I digress… while salivating. I know Cuban food. Cuban food is part of my DNA. I consider myself to be a decent Cuban food chef as well. Let me tell you, it is impossible to make a better “mojo criollo”(oil-vinegar-garlic based dressing), to be drizzled upon that perfectly done “pierna asada” (roasted pork leg); their “mariquitas” (deep fried plantain chips) are superb, the “tostones” (lightly mashed deep fried plantain medallions) still crunchy even after an hour. Grandma Esperanza would definitely approve of those “frijoles negros dormidos” (black beans cooked in the morning and put aside to rest and gain density and the perfect creamy texture) waiting to be topped with white rice, sliced roasted pork and keep bringing more of that “mojo”, por favor… The verdict They have the best Cuban food cooks, that’s for sure and although not without bias after last Saturday: they cook the best Cuban food this side of the planet, that’s what they are keeping all of my gold stars. Thank you, Chuy for the jokes and red carpet service, Kike for the amazing cake, Karina and Orlando, the owners for taking it to the next level and making us feel part of Casablanca’s family. We shall come back…

I would go to CasaBlanca again but today it wasn't quite as great as I was prepared for. My chicken was very tender and flavorful but I was still hungry when I was done eating. I feel the prices could be a little lower or the sizes a bit larger. Also she forgot to get our drinks. The cuban sandwhich should have more flavor, the ham should be heated and there should be more than 2 tablespoons of juicier pork. I did like how I felt I was eating a home cooked meal, but I wanted seconds. The employees were pretty sweet. We will give them more chances because people seem to rant and rave about the place.

I went here last night with my family for the first time and was very impressed. The food tasted incredible, the sangria and espresso were very tasty! I ordered the pollo asado, my mom ordered the arroz Amarillo con pollo and gave me her leftovers for lunch today.. so good! My guy ordered the Cuban sandwich and really enjoyed it. Fantastic Cuban food! Nothing fancy with friendly acomodating service. Their Ropa Viejos is by far the best we've had. Try the Croquettas appetizer. And their Cuban Sandwiches aren't to be missed. Hubby loves their fry sauce. Maduros (sweet plantain) are unique and delicious. They also serve the thin sliced crispy fried plantain with garlic which can be hard to find. Casa Blanca is tops on our list every time we visit Boise. We highly recommend it.

Friendly staff and hearty soups! The gentleman who took our order was courteous and very welcoming. We ordered a regular Cubano and a Frita Cubano. The Frita Cubano was a tad salty for my liking. However, after I added ketchup and extra lettuce from my fridge it helped with the saltiness. The soup has corn, potato, carrots, hefty chunks of meat and was very satisfying. They also have this garlic sauce that I used on my sandwich and sweet potatoe fries. The garlic sauce has a consistency of oily salad dressing. The sauce tasted like lemon, fresh grated garlic, black pepper, and olive oil. In addition, the staff practices wearing masks and sanitize used pens. Thank you CasaBlanca!

I love this place. I first visited them years ago, and I have a chance to update my review now; it's still 5 stars to me. I really like the idea that they do a very good deal lunch menu. You get soup & 1/2 sandwich. My favorite is Pan Con Lechon, which the meat is roasted pork. The meat is not sliced sandwich thickness. I don't know if it's 1/4 inch thick, probably not, but it is so moist. It does not have cheese, but it has grilled onion. Do you know what grilled onion do to your meat? Tastiness 🤤😄. I wish I have all day to do review, but ... try their fried yuca. It is the consistency of potato, but it has more fiber. And it is so good fried. Enjoy your meal!!

We've lived in the area for years and never stopped. I've walked by it a ton and it always smells amazing. So Thursday was the day & we were not disappointed! Staff was very polite and environment was clean. Several regulars came in and lots of conversation flowed. Food came out quick, was hot and tasty. The garlic sauce for the Mariquetas was amazing. Could be a bad thing we live near by as I forsee many more visits on our future!

Croquettes were bland and they only had one flavor choice available, instead of 3 in menu.Sandwich was good, but wasn't able to get the one I wanted, out of the bread I wanted. Soup,,,bland as well. Most likely won't be back. A bit overpriced on Croquettes for what you get.

Great experience, love the warm fried plantains and orange garlic dipping sauce. The Cuban tamale was outstanding. And the Cubano panini sandwich is worth getting one to go. I didn't really care for the pork with onions it was a bit dry. But I'll give it another chance one day. Service was fantastic, went away happy and will return soon.

However, I asked for another one to put on top of my puerco asado. The portions are huge and the prices are fair. So delicious! So yum.

This is the best Cuban restaurant, I believe, in the nation. At a Minimum, it's the best west of the Mississippi. Every time I eat here it's like being transported to my grandmother's house and eating her cooking again. Everything is fresh, the recipes are dead on and the service is always friendly. I don't live in Boise, but every time I'm in town I eat here. If you've never had Cuban food, this is the place to try it for the first time because it is authentic as it comes.

Really good cubano sandwich! The black bean soup was also delicious!The only thing I didn't like was how long the wait was between ordering until food was brought to table and there was no chips and salsa or bread or anything. Other than that a really good place to go and relax enjoy a meal. That's why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars.

Dropped in to pick up some flan to-go and it was delicious! We tried both the regular and the coconut flan. The coconut version was really good but the coconut makes it a less traditional texture (not super smooth like the regular kind) so take note if that's important to you. They definitely make great flan!!

Yes, yes, yes!!! I love everything on the menu. I have been here 5 times and have had a new experience that is awesome. All the workers are funny, charming, friendly and really put in the effort to make sure you enjoy your experience there. They have delicious flan and their coffee is so yummy. Everything is made there and its the best Cuban food Ive ever had. Go try it and support some hard working people while you get your socks blown off by the good food.

If you've driven past this place for years, curious but never stopping by like I did, stop! The meat was hot and tender and flavorful, the atmosphere was cozy, and the service friendly. We tried a variety of dishes. All were delicious. All had authentic seasoning. And preparations. I ordered a bowl of black bean soup. We ended up taking half of it with us and half of a sandwich, which made for a meal on another day. It was all very satisfying and tasty. We did not expect to find this in Boise. The wait staff was attentive and helpful. We wish we lived closer and could go back. The prices were very reasonable. We were there on a Sunday night an hour before closing. there were others having a meal as well. What a find!

The food here is legit! We ordered the ropa vieja, pan con lechon and the traditional pork and shrimp dishes tonight for a family valentine's day dinner. Everything tasted authentic and delicious! Sides that came with our dishes were great too. We loved the tostones and beans and rice. I just wish the main portions we're a little bigger. The service was excellent and we had a great experience. I had the best meal of my entire life in this place. It is a GEM!! Their fried sweet plantains are so delicious, the best I've ever had! The Sandwich Cubano was so flavorful with perfectly crisp bread. The saffron rice was also very flavorful but not overwhelmingly so. All the meat was so tender and clearly cooked with much thought. Every single item was cooked with thought. They care how every part of your meal tastes, the food shows that. COME HERE!! Fyi the portions are pretty big as well, which is great,but should be kept in mind if you're just stopping through, because wasting any leftover food from this place is a crime! Trust me, it's that good.😆

Second visit to this place, all because their food is some of the best. We started with the combo appetizer which has three types of their appetizer dishes on it in a a smaller portion. All three have a distinct yummy taste to them. I got the Midnight Sandwich which was very flavorful and my friend decided to try the tamale since she is a tamale fan. We both loved our food and the service was on top of things. This little hidden gem is definitely a must visit in the Gem state.

Food doesn't look like much when they bring it out, but gosh, it tastes so good!!! I loved it, and I plan to go back again. That's good eatin'! This is the absolute tastiest food! It's so full of flavor, completely unique in the valley and authentic as a trip down south. Their outdoor seating is my favorite to listen to the music and dance until the food comes! The service is top quality too! Don't sleep on this treasure! My go to dish as a vegan... Such a great find, they've easily got the best Cuban sandwich in the valley. They've got a very simple but delicious selection of food. Having never been to Cuba I can't speak to the authenticity but it still tastes great, they've got some variations of the traditional Cuban too that's what you're after.

Been here a few times now. Friendly staff. Great food. Feels intimate without being dark or "too romantic." Whether you like authentic Cuban or just timidly want to give it a try, it's a great choice. I would say it works for dates, friendly meet-ups or business.

Food is delicious and consistent! I've eaten here many times and their customer service is always wonderful, orders come out fairly fast- considering it's a sit down restaurant. I have ordered meals to go and those meals were always packaged accordingly so there haven't been any spills or crushed food. I do call ahead of time because their menu is on their website and my orders, so far, have always been correct.

I can’t even begin to describe my experience here. It was just short of heavenly. I swear I walked into Cuba here to a T. It felt like I was a guest in their home. Our server was so warm and took care of our every need. We ordered fish croquetas for an appetizer and they were life changing. The deal they have on beer is second to none. Boyfriend ordered a Cuban sandwich and when I took a bite, it put me back on the beach of Havana. Large portions. I got a beef dish with garlic lemon sauce and it was incredible. i heard good things and went to check it out, it was all empty which i read happens a lot and the waitress, she was the best! it was cute inside, had good music not too loud either. she went above and beyond friendly, considered and offered mommy friendly options for my children and the food was great. it tasted like someone's grandma cooked the food with love and the portions were great. me and my husband could probably share a meal in there. when i find a local place who goes above and beyond i hope they stick around and want people to know about em =D try it

Being from South Florida with Cuban parents, it’s always nice to find a Cuban restaurant. The Vaca Frita, Pan con Bistec and the Cafecito were all so delicious! We bought a bottle of Chilean red and three of the most delightful chicken and fish dishes you could imagine. Bananas cooked into your meal? I could not imagine that bananas could taste that good, along with the beans and rice. It's not Mexican food, it's Cuban food, which we kept having to catch ourselves on. It's different, but a very good different. From the outside and street, we thought we made a huge mistake. but the inside decor is wonderful, the food is fantastic and the staff are so nice. We've been to most of the big restaurants in Boise, and by far, this is my favorite. We will definitely be back.

My wife and I have had lunch here twice and enjoyed it both times. I had the Cuban sandwich both times and my wife also had a sandwich (I forgot which one) and sweet potato fries. A sandwich and fries for lunch here is actually a bit much and we may choose a half sandwich next time, and there will be a next time. I had the Puerco Asado which had really nice flavor but a bit on the dry side, not sure if that is the way this dish is because I am not so familiar with Cuban cuisine but it was still very good! I grew up with this type of Caribbean Spanish cuisine and enjoy the flavor rich options at Casa Blanca. Just a note: this food is not "spicy", just full of delicious flavor. It is different than Mexican inspired cuisine. Wish I had a picture of what I ordered today, but it's gone. ;) Go enjoy it!

This is our favorite restaurant in Boise. We have eaten here ten times since April. Whenever we have friends in town we bring them here. My wife calls this comfort food. We always leave feeling satisfied and happy. The costs are extremely reasonable for entrees. Family run, fresh foods, pleasant casual decor, friendly staff, everything we want in a dining experience. My only complaint is that they are 30 minutes from our house.

Great food. Terrible service. It's family run so if you end up with the dad who's always on his bluetooth or his forgetful son, you're not gonna get what you want. The father doesn't write down your order so if you ask anything specific be taken out or substituted, good luck. If you get the son, you'll have to remind the son that you ordered desserts three times before you decide to leave.

Such amazing food! My husband and I first tried Casa Blanca about a year ago and were instantly obsessed. The food is so delicious and made with fresh local ingredients to make wonderfully authentic food. We have had most things on the menu and have taken everyone we know there. We even had them cater our wedding with their food truck which was done at a very affordable price! The owner even sat with us a few times for few hours to plan our menu at no extra cost. The service is great and the food is excellent. Definitely a must for Boise!

The food is delicious! We live in SLC and we were passing through Boise on our way home from Washington State. We wanted to try something different that we don’t have at home and we were not disappointed. We are self proclaimed food snobs and this was good food. Even our picky toddler loved it! We asked for “take out” because our toddler was asleep in the car and they were so kind to our strange requests to fill up water bottles and sippy cups. Super cute, great food, great service. For the price, the food we got was not worth it. The papa rellenas were good though. I would not come back. For me, if your steak or pork is dry that's a deal breaker.

Well yesterday my daughter flew up from Miami and we went to the CasaBlanca for lunch. I ordered the Cuban sandwich on sweet bread and she ordered the Pollo asado. All I can say is the tastes were a blast from the past. Exactly as I remember them. I'm headed back today for lunch again. The service was fantastic and the waitress shared that the family that owns this restaurant came from Cuba 4 years ago. I highly recommend this restaurant and there prices sure don't break the bank.

Delicious! Everything has been scrumptious, from the entrees to the sandwiches to the desserts. Start off with croquetas (codfish or chorizo are my favorites), then choose whatever your heart desires (arroz amarillo con pollo and bacalao a la vizcaina are not to be missed), and try flan de coco for dessert! I love coming here and chatting with the staff, and the prices are so low I can afford to come often.

Tortones were very dry, and the mojo tasted odd, the rice and beans were good, pork was also very, very dry and so I left a lot on my plate. I really wanted this to be special so I could make it routine but it didn't live up to it's potential. Too bad.

Made plans to "try" Tucanos Brazilian Grill before catching American Hustle at Edwards Theater. On our way we passed CasaBlanca Cuban Grill and commented that I never saw the place before, and made a mental note of it. Fast forward to Tucanos .... my hunch that we were about to enter a hectic theme park - my girlfriend called it Cheesecake Factory in disguise - was validated. Holy crap. Now what? .... Oh yeah, back to CasaBlanca. Immediate good vibe upon entering. Quiet, cozy, UNPRETENTIOUS. Refreshing, after admittedly focusing too much attention lately on downtown Boise's Portland wannabe style, and paying those prices. Our sweet, friendly hostess/waitress took care of us and made us feel like we were at home - her home. In Cuba. Then the food ... it was great. And CHEAP!! Go. Just GO. This is a place that should be patronized not just for an authentic food experience, but for an authentic from-the-heart experience. Tucanos ..... what were we thinking?
