Don't be fooled by the name, this is not a dive by any stretch of a negative connotation! What is so special about a burger? How could a burger win a championship competition? These thoughts ran through my mind as a good friend, brother in the LORD told us he was going to treat us to lunch there. We were pleasantly surprised! Don't we all get that craving from time to time of desiring a REALLY GOOD burger? Well, to say that our cravings were more than satisfied does not do this Burger Dive just credit! We all could not make up our minds which burger to choose...so...we decided to start at the top of the menu for our first visit and then work our way down respectively upon every next visit! What's at the top: The Huckleberry, sure to be loved by Doc (Val Kilmer) himself, dripping with the best Huckleberry jam ever! Park your mechanical horses nearby (get there before rush hour) and reach out for a handful of goodness that will put a smile on your face long after your burger is gone.

We were in town to take our daughter to the airport. My husband found this restaurant and let me tell you….if you’re ever in Billings, MT this is the place to visit. I ordered “The Date with Jim Bean and Coke” Burger, hubby had “The Spicy Tuna” burger and our daughter had a cheeseburger and chili fries and everything was sooo DELICIOUS!! We will definitely stop by there when we go back to pick her up from the airport.

Montana known for their beef we had to try the Burger Dive. Very fun and tasteful restaurant. Super nice staff. Explained their menu and burger of the day. Enjoyed the onion rings for our appetizer so we didn’t get any sides with our burger which can order with or without fries. We ordered the Huckleberry Burger, Juicy Lucy, Thunderbolt Burger and a kids grilled cheese burger. Burgers were so good no one spoke until the last bite was finished! Just the right amount of condiments to not over power the best tasting beef I’ve had anywhere. Very filling so give them a try next time your in town!

I really wanted to love this place but it fell short of the recommendations. The fries were a little overdone. I did like the parm and garlic topping but it didn’t make up for them being overcooked. The individual components of the “date with Jim beam and Coke” burger were good but all together they were far too sweet. There needed to be some acidity or spicy heat to break it up. I wouldn’t be opposed to trying another burger should the opportunity arise.

fun "hole-in-the-wall" like joint with an attentive staff and awesome food! went here for the first time after moving into the area. heads up for anyone else new or passing through- parking IS a bit of a pain. it gets cramped and you have to pay for it. that was the only downside and for that reason i highly recommend having change on you and going here when it's less busy. however, the food did make up for it! can't speak for what else is on the menu but I ordered a jamaican jerk burger with cajun fries, limeade on the side and huckleberry shake after. very unique taste and take on diner food, i enjoyed every bit of it!

Very friendly staff and a very clean establishment. These burgers are ridiculously good and unlike a lot of places they're not too big and they're not overdressed. A lot of places put too much stuff on their burgers and the Burger Dive puts just enough without being too much and their combinations of flavors are spectacular. The Im Your Huckleberry burger is off the charts... It is a fantastic combination of flavors and they work so well together.. that Huckleberry BBQ sauce is unbelievably good. Anytime I'm through the area I'm always going to stop by the burger dive, I have to have every burger here. Do yourself a favor and make sure you have a burger here. Also, the garlic parmesan fries Are fantastic too.

WOW!! Yall lucky I even got a moment to snap a photo because the smells alone made me want to devour this. Got the Jim beam burger and garlic parm fries. The burger was so sweet and savory it was absolutely perfect. And the garlic parm fries...well I'm pretty sure I'll be burping up garlic for the next week it was so worth it, definitely if you love garlic this is a great side! I'll definitely be back to try more!

25% price increase. Most burgers with fries are now $20 +/-. The menus on Google don't reflect this. The huckleberry burger is amazing but now will set you back $20 with fries, 6 months ago it was $15. The burger are not large. Limit paid street parking.

Onion rings are excellent. French fries are excellent. Outstanding actually. I recommend the Juicy Lucy, Thunderstorm for burgers, and the Chicago and the Chili for hot dogs. You won't be disappointed. If there were 5 more stars to give I'd give them a perfect 10!

First, there's no such thing as absolute perfection. However, the important thing is that there's a effort to be perfect. A month ago, before I headed to Italy, I got a Huckleberry Burger to go. Something went sideways and it just wasn't up to par with their usual Huck-Burg. I thought they should know, so I gave a call to Brendan. Without a breath, he asked me to come back for a make-good. I just got back from a month in Italy, having some of the best food on earth, and spotted my notes to go to the Burger Dive. 'Twas their moment of perfection!! In fact, if Italian friends come to visit, I want them to get a taste of an All-Star American burger that will make them beg for the recipe. Typically, the word "dive" suggests something negative. A "dive" is a dumpy apartment or less than desirable place to eat. Well, I think we need to do a little definition, here. The Burger Dive is where the food is SO GOOD that you can't help yourself but "dive" right in! Thanks Brendan and Crew...for the moment of ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!

The burger choices were great and did not disappoint. We arrived around 5pm on a Thursday and the place was packed but we were seated right away. It was family friendly and looked like everyone enjoyed their meals. Our fries were a little overcooked but that was probably do to the rush they were in the middle of otherwise the "San Fran" fries were great. A little expensive for a burger joint but my wife were still out the door for about $30+tip. I'll definitely be going back next time I'm craving a burger and I'm downtown.

So much to love about Burger Dive!! We do our best to stop by multiple times when we are in town, we love it so much!! The burgers are so amazing- many are award winning! They also have the best shakes- the chocolate peanut butter one or the huckleberry one are our favorites. They also have great sweet potato fries w amazing dipping sauces. The atmosphere is unique and the service is always great!!

First time here. Just could not start at 5 star. Meat is authentic and really good. You might think hamburger is hamburger. Not out of a freezer. Texture is fresh, flavor is fresh. French fries are also the real deal. Really enjoyed The Burger Dive. Expensive hamburger but it is really good. Treat yourself once in a while.

So, the food was great, except the fries where a bit overdone and I couldn't help but feel like I was getting the bottom of the fryer. The seasoning on the fries is very salty and a bit overwhelming. I wouldn't say it's bad by any stretch of the imagination, just overpowering. The burger was juicy and medium rare, basic cheese burger but other burgers like the juicy Lucy prove that this was a conscious choice not an underdone patty. Everything appears to be fresh and the kitchen looked clean from what you can see while sitting at the bar or back from afar. The service would have gotten 5 stars but to be fair I was one of only a few guests at the time so I can't help but feel like I didn't get a sense for how good or bad they could be. The atmosphere is amazing, if you want a classic American burger or any burger in their long list of handcrafted delicious foods or you just want a blast of Americana this is the place for you. Honestly despite my critique, I 8/10 recommend Burger dive for a gourmet burger in Billings.

This place is pretty great. The milk shakes are some of the best I’ve ever had. Burger options are outside your ordinary choices. I recommend the onions for the side. My favorite burger was the juicy Lucy. I would not add bacon to it though. I did. It was a little over done.

Great fresh burger and some of the best fries ever. They were crisp on the outside and soft inside. Only complainr about my time there is they walked past me a fair number of times before taking my order and the place was not busy. Regardless, I would recommend if you are in the mood for a burger.

One of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Very traditional American diner atmosphere. Family run vibes, and very prompt. It is exactly what you want from a diner burger, with a lot of top end burger options. From traditional to complex they have a burger you'll enjoy.

Our food was very good, but I personally could not justify the price for what I got. I got a bacon cheeseburger, garlic fries and a drink and it was over $20 for that. Also I want to note that I got a 1/2 a piece of bacon that was cut in half again on my burger. I don't think the burger was even 1/4lb and the amount of fries could have fit in my hand. Maybe if there had been enough food to fill full, the price would have been okay, but as it was my burger alone was almost $15. The place is cute, the staff was great and it smells delicious in there. Overall my food was good, I just won't be back at those prices when Billings has so many good burger options to choose from.

Great burgers, lots of variety and unique combinations. Have been there twice and as great as the burgers are, service is very slow. Last time there was only one server (took twenty minutes before order was taken) to take care of about 20 tables. Granted, they have an army of bussers to greet guests and get drinks/refills (although their ability at that is questionable), but service in general could use an overhaul it seems. Perhaps it is their way of controlling order flow into the kitchen?

Just the best burgers excellent ingredients and great choices Fries and onion rings are superb - if you order a basket be prepared to take it with you! No worries very good warm up in your air fryer. The management is fantastic and you will see them in the restaurant often, especially Brendan who served our food and took the time to have a couple conversations with us.

The burger dive is a throw-back diner with good food and friendly service. I had the John Wayne burger and fries. The burger was really good, but the fries were just okay for me. Could be my fault as I got them to go and didn’t eat them right away. Good food, nice atmosphere and friendly service.

Literally best burgers ever and the FASTEST service. If you’re here I’d highly recommend the Juicy Lucy burger or the The Outlaw. I cannot explain how good the food and service is here. Outstanding!

I usually LOVE the burgers. This time was a disappointment. I ordered the Garlic burger, but forgot to choose my cheese.. and they didn't ask. They put American cheese (vomit) on it. Might as well melt a plastic bottle onto the burger.

Stopped by on a recommendation. We were not disappointed at all. The burgers were amazing and the hand cut fries are a must. There was four us so we all picked something different. The shakes are also a must try. If you're near here or driving through Billings give this place a try. It will be worth the stop.

The Juicy Lucy Buger was missing ingredients mentioned on their menu and it really was nothing special, there are fast food chains that offer juicier and more flavorful burgers. The San Fran Fries come with no sauce and are so dry, asked for a side of chipotle mayo to dip them in but it was also missing. Milkshake was amazing.

My wife and I stopped by for a bite to eat. We are both born and raised right here in Billings and my absolute favorite food is a burger. That being said, my wife had been here before while this was my first time. Here we go: Love the atmosphere! The old school diner vibes along with the lunch counter make it one of the coolest lunch spots in town for me! But the food!! Boy howdy...the FOOD!!! So, my wife ordered the Outlaw with regular fries; however, she is not a fan of spicy food so she swapped the pepper jack for gouda. I work IT and video production, but I will try to describe this thing: the gouda gave it a nice rich and kind of creamy flavor which went very well with the sweetness of the caramelized onions. The roasted pablano peppers gave it a hint of smokiness that I feel sent it over the top. It was delicious! While this was my first time visiting, I know quite a bit about this establishment. Chef/Owner Brad Halston has multiple awards including SOBEWFF Buger Bash winner, "The Best of the Bash" and, literally, one of the world's best burgers, "I'm Your Huckleberry!" Being a Montana native, I felt required to try the Huckleberry Hatch BBQ sauce. The sweet, tart flavor of the Huckleberry hits you first then you get just a kiss of heat from the Hatch Chili. When it combines with the creamy goat cheese and salty bacon, you begin to question if you have been having burgers wrong this whole time. The fresh arugula and savory red pepper mayo round out this culinary masterpiece. Oh, I got the garlic fries. What is a burger without a shake or a malt? Well, make sure you remember that when you finish your food. They have a great shake menu and they use Wilcoxson's Ice Cream; if you are unaware, they are a long standing dairy/creamery legend in this part of Montana. The menu includes two award winning recipes, I got the Strawberry Balsamic and my wife got the Huckleberry goat cheese. The addition of the goat cheese makes for a pleasant tang and creates an insanely creamy texture. Do yourself a favor and get down to the Burger Dive! You will not be disappointed!

Anyone who puts a dollop of goat cheese, cloves of roasted garlic, and huckleberry aioli on a burger cooked just right is ok in my book. Then, followed my meal with a burnt s'mores milkshake...so good! Clean dining area, friendly and happy staff. Good job!

Visiting from out of town for a couple days and was recommended by many locals. They're only open during lunch hours so it can be tricky. They have 3 award winning burgers to choose from. Pictured is the "I'm Your Huckleberry" burger with garlic fries. For such a high reputation they certainly did not disappoint. I was thoroughly impressed by the burst of flavors in each bite. The goat cheese and huckleberry BBQ sauce were exquisite. The meat was perfectly juicy. The garlic fries were not my favorite. I had to smoother them with ketchup because the parmesan was so dry. That being said, the fry itself was golden and crisped to perfection. I'll try the Cajun fries next time. This place is certainly a must visit for Billings. I support the national recognition.

We came here to experience the award winning burgers and the burgers lived up to our expectations. I had the Jerk burger and it was great. We also tried the Burger Bash, their Juicy Lucy, chili cheese fries and shakes. Must have the Flaming Smores shake...it was the first shake that I have ever tried that was on fire. This place is a must visit.

After wondering what the crowd was, we worked out that it had to be good. We went at 3pm before boarding our flight and knowing we would skip Dinner. It was busy then and did not stop. Certainly worth waiting for. My husband said it was the best burger he has ever had. I typically don't have burgers and I have to agree. It was superb! Lovely staff and attentive during our visit.

I don’t review often, so let me tell you, I was half asleep because our twin boys were in the NICU at the local hospital and the nurse recommended The Burger Dive. It was the single best burger I’ve ever ate. Brendan/Brendon was rocking it! The cashier was super kind and friendly. It was a little busy but they sure rocked it out. I was wearing a mask and they were cool with it. No judgement, no stress. Keep it up!

Was visiting and passing thru Billings and had to stop in from the buzz it has gotten on TV and overall great views. Glad I stopped in because the atmosphere was cool of the restaurant, staff was fast and efficient and Coke and Bourbon Burger I got was spot on! Recommend highly if you're in town or passing thru.

Wow this place is fantastic. Had chili cheese fries and the Dinger Burger. Good chili cheese fries, not amazing but above-average. The Burger on the other hand was out of this world. Amazing flavor, one of the best burgers I've ever had to be honest. The flavor of the beef, bacon, gouda cheese, and the delicious sweet barbecue sauce all came together in Perfect Harmony, no one thing overpowered the other. I will definitely be back to get my hands on another one of these One of a Kind burgers.

Don’t get all the rave reviews. Five Guys is better and so is Steak n Shake. Husband ordered burger with no mayo and they put mayo on it. My Fries were over cooked. Way over priced for what it is!!

We met as family in Billings on a Friday night. 11 of us adults ate 11great meals. My sister said this is the best burger I’ve had since I was diagnosed with celiac. Their employees have the best attitude I seen in a while. Busy for a reason.

We stopped at the Billings Airport for fuel and were starving! The Burger Dive came recommended and I had seen it on the Food Network. Having never been to Billings before, eating where it was recommended seemed like the right thing to do. I cannot say we were disapointed, unless you count that we were full before we ate the entire meal. I had the "Date with Jim Beam and Coke" burger and onion rings. It was certainly a tasty experience. The staff was very hospitable and the place was clean, even the bathrooms. If I am ever back in Billings, I will try another menu selection and probably a milkshake!

Been coming here for years. Yesterday was my first time back in a while. Everything was 10/10, but my only complaint is the burger sizes seem to have gotten drastically smaller. Huckleberry burger still slaps though

Great atmosphere and decor. Love the signage and the other decorations they have. Would have loved to get a shirt, however am sure they don't have the size I need. Food is amazing here as well. Fries are to die for and I am looking forward to coming again to try out their other burgers. Got the mushroom and onion burger and it was super. The staff and service here is what makes this place 5 stars, in my book. Very friendly, very prompt, kept checking on me, asked how my day was, the cook came out to the floor and checked on everyones food and food was out quickly and fresh. They have a winning recipe here when it comes to their people. Cannot wait to come back.

Burger dive is my go to food choice when I visit Billings. The burgers are very tasty and there is large variety burgers on their menu. And the French are surprisingly delicious! The servers are friendly and attentive. (What more can you ask for? Lol) I always recommend this place to anyone that visits Billings.

I really do like this place a lot. It's got a wonderful smell from down the block. The burgers are works of culinary art. Easily the best I've had. Quite greasy/messy though. My experience with the fries are hit and miss. Recommend the garlic ones. The building is cramped during typical lunch hours and it has short hours so it's pretty much constantly packed only a few chairs to wait and then standing room. The decor is niche and they have tons of awards on display. If you get the chance, absolutely have a burger here.

This place is one of my husband's places to dine. He works at the doubletree and always refers guests here and has never had any complaints. Burgers, shakes, and fries are all very tasty and are the proper temps. Burgers are cooked to order. They have a dill ranch for your fries which we always need several of.❤️ Owners hang out frequently and all staff is all super helpful. They even have gluten free buns and fries which is very appreciated. Great place

Oh. My. God. We arrived, were hungry, and the airport staff suggested this hands down. It doesn't disappoint. Small and kitschy, but the writing is on the wall: you are eating the world's best burgers. Seriously, there's awards. For the garlic fries too. So many options, and hot dogs too.

I always love my burger what ever I pick. I got the behemoth the other day and it was so cheezy goodness. Loved it. Hubby likes the black and blue?? It's got blue cheese, top of the list. There was a short wait but the server saw us & said they had a few tables just about to pay, so it wouldn’t be long. Fair, the place was full! Drinks came quickly. This place is off the hook. Wear your fat pants when you go! Burgers are insanely good. So unique. Fries are crispy and flavorful, and you can get different kinds, like cajun or garlic. We live a few hours away from Billings, but when we come to town, Burger Dive is a must stop. I’m generally a pretty healthy eater, but there are decadent and unique food opportunities out there in the world you just can’t miss. This is one of those places. I still haven’t tried one of their shakes…next time for sure! Service is always quick and efficient, and the people are super nice!

Some good desserts, very large slices of cake. Would have loved a piece of pie. Onion rings have way too much breading. Fries were over cooked. Staff was friendly and fast. Chicago style hot dog was good. Chilli burger was good though it had a lot of beans - I personally subscribe to chili burger chili not having beans but I know that's a personal preference. Food was under seasoned and not as tasty as expected.

Food was very tasty. I was impressed to see that the guy who seems to own the place (or at least is in all the pictures with the celebrities on the wall, holding the big check, etc.) was taking orders and seating customers. Price was high - $21.50 for a burger, parmesan garlic fries, and a coke. Could have probably ordered a cheaper burger and normal fries to offset the price a bit, but the Jack Date burger was very good. In fact, everything was hot and delicious. Very cool stuff on the walls too. I'd go again!

It is easy to see why the Huckleberry burger is an award winner because it was AMAZING!!! The sweet potato fries, though, were the absolute worst that I’ve ever had. They were greasy, mushy, and had a weird cinnamon coating on them. It must a thing with the fries, though, because my husband had plain fries and my son had garlic Parmesan fries, and neither of them enjoyed their fries. Go for the burgers, skip the fries.

Had an amazing experience here. I asked for recommendations from the very friendly and professional waiter and the result was amazing. I ended up having the Santa Fe burger and garlic parmesan fries. The burger was amazing I could easily taste each individual ingredient and I didn't have to stress to unhinge my jaw as you may have to do for some other burger places. The fries were the best example of garlic parmesan fries I've ever had. You could clearly see the quality level of the food as soon as it comes to the table. And the ambience of the place is immaculate. Highly recommend this place.

Weary from driving we rolled our worn tires up to the burger dive and low and behold our lives were forever changed. Definitely stop here. Dang these burgers are thick, and dang if they aren’t the best we’ve had. Our local spots (on the east coast) don’t hold a candle to the magical stacks of flavor combos this restaurant produces. Only gave it a 4 because the fries are not my top favorite, but I am hard to please in that regard, though truth be told my partner really dug them.

First of all, it didn't live up to the hype. I gave it 4 stars but really was more like 3.5. The burger and fries were both good, but certainly not great. I had the Huckleberry one, which supposedly had a huckleberry-hatch chili bbq sauce. The sauce was fine but had no heat at all. While you could clearly taste the fruit, the huckleberry seemed to be more of a gimmick than something really adding an interesting layer to the flavor since it was so one-note. The goat cheese and arugula were nice with it. The fries looked delicious but really didn't do anything special for me either. If I find myself giving it another chance, I'll try to order something with a little more flavor, and I'll try one of the other sides like perhaps the sweet potato fries. They did have good-looking milkshakes but at $6.50 I couldn't justify it on top of the $16.50 burger and fries. Even though I gave it 4 stars, I was disappointed. It deserved more than 3 but not quite a 4. I thought it was about 20-25% more expensive than would be a fair price. Service was friendly but nothing special.

Went here with my family while driving through Billings. The food is terrific and the service is great! One of the best burgers I have had, and definitely one of the best milkshakes (I got the Flamin Smores, which they toast the marshmallows right in front of you with a blow torch, super cool!). We all left extremely full and satisfied. We went around noon on a Friday, so it was really busy, but most definitely worth the wait!

It was good food but cold and fries were hard. I did a call in order that was told it would be ready in 15 min. I showed up in 12 min and had to wait about 5 minutes for my milkshake to be made. The girl who made my milkshake started eating the left over in the tin before she even gave me mine. Pretty weird experience. She took a long time. It was not very busy. Super cool atmosphere and the food was good. Just wasn’t hot. Hopefully next time it will be warm. For sure going to try it again.

Holy cow! Do not eat in Billings unless you eat at The Burger Dive! The burgers are cooked to mid well perfection and the toppings are creative and compliment the beef well, so choose your fave from the imaginative menu. The buns are excellent and tie everything together perfectly! I had the thunderbolt which has all the spice and was just perfect. My wife had the tuna steak (I know... How are you gonna be at a burger place like this and have tuna?!?!). The thing is, she raved about it the entire time we were there. And... Bonus? My 10 yo (aka the pickiest eater in the world) is still talking about the kid's grilled cheese sammy from the back seat and we've been driving for at least 10 minutes, not even kidding! Oh, and the fresh cut fries are superb. You won't regret stopping at The Burger Dive.

The food is good and the service is friendly. The hours are very tight lunch hours. I spent a week in Billings last spring and wasn't ever able to eat here due to only being open while I was working. We had a couple of really good burgers, but we were the last guest there as they closed at 3pm on a Saturday, we felt rushed as they put every chair up on the tables around us. I'd say I'd go back but I guess hours of operation will be more of the deciding factor if I can go back.

Had the huckleberry burger, the flavors were there, burger was super juicy, however it was a little sweeter than I personally like. Also had the garlic fries and onion rings, both were fresh cut and you can tell! Beer batter on onion rings was nice thick and crispy. Garlic fries were crisp and had lots of flavor. Their ranch is fresh, and it does not seem to come from a mix. Finally staff was helpful and friendly helping the great atmosphere!

Ate lunch here and had an amazing, unique burger. Fries were great and so was the shake. Severs were all very nice and very on top of things. Highly recommend.

Dive is hardly the word that should be used when describing this place. The Burger Dive is a slice of Americana with delicious food in a funky atmosphere. The burgers are always cooked to perfection and the toppings and condiments provide so much variety that you will want to come back to try every one. The food is cooked fresh and to order, and it shows in every bite. Since everything is cooked to order, it seems like the service can get overwhelmed, especially when it's busy, but you forget about the wait with the first bite. The Burger Dive is a family favorite and we always stop in when we're visiting our family in Billings.

Passing through Billings and decided to stop on a whim. Not disappointed in the slightest. In fact, it’s not an exaggeration to say the “I’m your huckleberry” burger is the best burger I’ve ever had. The fries were also great, not greasy like some reviews had said. The huckleberry milkshake is also a must get. Not sure when I’ll ever be in Montana again, but this will be a must stop when I do.

Burger was lean meat and good. Garlic fries were well done and a bit cool. I would have liked them hotter. I believe they are using Canola oil for frying, which is a downer since Canola is so much harder to digest than nearly any other alternative.

The shakes are great and yhier toppings on the burgers were good but the burger was frozen im pretty sure (not positive) but might as well have been. 2 burgers and 2 shakes for $50 is kind of expensive for what we got. They nail it on every aspect of being restaurateurs. Quality food, great tasting, served hot and fast, with amazing service. In our short visit of 35 minutes, we were asked to have our waters filled 3x, and checked on by staff as to how our food was 2x. Had the Juicy Lucy and fries. Killer burger., Fries good, not "blown away". Maybe I prefer a bit of garlic and salt in the San Fran fries. Looking forward to returning!

I drove through last summer and stopped in on recommendation from a friend in order to try a huckleberry burger. It is obviously a very popular restaurant. The tables, chairs, and wall decor give it a grungy atmosphere. I ordered the huckleberry burger and some onion rings. The onion rings were quite good as was the huckleberry burger. However the burger was a little dry and the amount of sauce placed on the burger, although very good, was a small amount. This would be a much better burger if it had more sauce on it.

Jim Beam and Coke Burger was a 10/10. Meat was moist, sauce was plentiful, and the smoked gouda was oozing. We also tried the "San Fran" Garlic fries and the sweet potato fries. A Billings favorite, I am told. Lively family atmosphere in this very busy burger joint. Expect a short wait to be seated, and as much as 25 minutes for the food to arrive. The burgers are very filling. I have only tried the Behemoth -- about 2 inches of fried cheese all the way around the outside of the bun. This burger was a little salty for my taste, but likely due to all the cheese. I'll try a different option next visit.

I would go back and try more menu items. I did enjoy the onion rings--Like everything else, a little high priced (five rings for $3.50). This isn't the best burger place in Billings. It's the best burger place in the state! Seriously, this place is crazy good and a local gem. They may only be open for lunch, but they'll be filled for most of it. Everything thing do is handmade and from scratch, including the incredible huckleberry bbq sauce and dangerously spicy thunderbolt sauce(had it extra spicy one. Not for the meek.) One of the fun things about the place is the frequent daily specials. They'll often be something creative and off the wall. Just a good fun place with world class burgers.

I have the "Blackened Sabbath"...the creamy goodness of the blue cheese, mixed with the salty bacon and crunchy onion rings makes for a damn good burger (and I'm not really a burger person). Service was great...very attentive and all-around a great casual atmosphere. We will be back. Apparently we lucked out and went when the weather was terrible so we were seated right away and didn't have any issues finding a parking spot. I have heard that this can get dicey around the peak lunch hours. Either way....worth it!

A few years ago, my now wife and I used to go here on a date every Tuesday afternoon. We had already eaten at a BUNCH of burger places; there's a bazillion of them around town. Burger Dive is the best burger we have ever had. Now I've eaten at a lot of places all over that tote "best burger in the US" but they all just leave you disappointed. At Burger Dive you're getting the literal best burger, there's really no contest. Don't even order a burger ever again unless you're at Burger Dive. We also just really love the people that work there. Really genuine people help you out and seem to actually care about how you're doing. The worst part about leaving Billings and Montana last week (my hometown is Billings) was losing the ability to eat here whenever we wanted to.

I was really excited to try the Huckleberry Burger with a gluten free bun, HOWEVER I didn't realize until watching the Man vs Food episode that they put soy sauce in the syrup. Soy sauce contains wheat, and I ended up being really sick for a few days afterwards. I dont think they know soy sauce isnt gf or why would they offer to give it to you with a gf bun? Anyways, really delicious, just wish I could eat it.

It was several award winning burgers on the menu. This is a small popular restaurant in the middle of downtown Billings Mt. Be prepared for parking problems, at least there is a parking structure across the street. I only had to pay $1 for parking while at lunch. Was it worth it? YES The burgers were excellent and so were the onion rings. I recommend you give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Best Burger you can have!! Basic small burger dive that is clean and well kept. Staff is exceptional!! But it's not anything else that you are there for but the Burger!! Seasoning is complimentary to well grilled meat. Condiments are exceptionally well prepared to make the burger melt and sing on your tongue. The bun that wraps all the goodness up in it is perfect for absorbing the juices that you would hate to lose down your hand. Now onto the side of fries or onion rings. Without the perfectionist of these you would feel as though as you were missing part of a well developed meal. There is a care, dedication, and strive for perfection that sits on the platter of what you have ordered that you would never feel whole as a person if you missed. I can't explain how much this burger place can change your outlook on any day. Visited with my brother and my mother. Their Juicy Lucy burger was amazing, the flavor was delicious and the bun was buttery and crisp from what I assume is them toasting it on a grill. Delicious meal in a very popular burger place within the heart of Billings. I was recommended to this place by a friend in Alaska who played college football with the owner. I was not disappointed! The Blackened Sabbath Burger has won awards. It's a garlic burger with an onion ring and feta cheese on a butter toasted bun. The garlic fries were deliciously seasoned but a little soggy. The oatmeal cream shake was good but a piece of plastic from their compostable cups had broken off into the cup. There is metered parking so bring some change as it doesn't accept card. It is also tight to drive out after the meal. Overall though the food more than makes up for it!

Last time I visited, they had a huckleberry (or some sort of berry) burger as a special and it was great. This time, I got a burger on the menu and I was equally impressed by the flavor. The fries were a bit greasy but, frankly, I would expect nothing less from a place called Burger Dive. Again, there were enough fries to share. I highly recommend this dive!

This place has a good atmosphere and the staff is the friendlyest I have ever encountered. The burger I had was amazing and the onion rings are the best I have ever had. The drawbacks to this establishment are: incredibly hard to find parking, cold inside (probably due to the age of the building), the menu is slightly hard for picky eaters to find something to choose from since a lot of the burgers include spicy items and I did not enjoy the fries.

This place has won awards for a reason. They have some amazing burgers here. I have eaten a lot of burgers in my time and these are some of the best. I have been there about 4 times now but have only tried two burgers because i cannot help but order the "im your huckleberry" burger. Just be prepared to wait for this treat. 3 out of 4 times i have been to the burger dive there has been a line for seating then you have to wait for your burger in a flurry of orders.

I think that The Best of The Bash burger is quite possibly the best burger I've ever eaten (and I have tried it more than once). It's perfectly balanced, between crunchy onion rings and smooth goat cheese, to spicy sriracha and bitter arugula, to the savory burger tying everything together. Last time I was in two weeks ago, the waitress suggested getting my fries with garlic Parmesan AND Cajun seasoning, and they are my new favorite fries. You can expect a classic dive atmosphere and quick moving staff here. If you're from out of town, this is definitely the one spot I would recommend if you're short on time.

In the heart of the town, the location is great. They seated us right away, however, it took almost 30 minutes to get our food. The food itself was okay, nothing to write home about.

Servers are very friendly and the atmosphere is very laid back. They seem to never be in any rush to get you out the door. I had their daily special, the BBQ Bacon Burger with Wisconsin Cheddar with an order of garlic fries. The burger was cooked perfectly, not too well, not too rare, and the BBQ sauce they used was very tasty. The garlic fries were definitely for us garlic lovers out there, topped with fresh herbs and grated mozzarella. Both were served piping hot, fresh off of the grill and you could tell only quality ingredients were used. Will be back again and again.

Parking around the restaurant was a nightmare but, after searching for about 20 minutes I finally found a spot a block away on a Sunday! I ordered the outlaw burger with onion rings. It was a good burger, good bun and a decent meat patty. My only complaint would be the large cooked whole cloves of garlic inside, I love garlic as much as the next guy but, this thing was loaded with them. It is not the best burger I've had but it is certainly worth trying. I will go back and try a different Burger. The onion rings were large slices dipped in a beer batter, also good. As other people have mentioned, it is a bit slow but, I passed my time looking at the celebrity photos on the walls.

This place is one of my favorite things about Billings MT. The Burger Dive has the best burgers in the world, according to the 2016 World Food Championships. The burgers are just the perfect combination of ingredients and flavors in the right proportions with fresh ingredients. The "I'm Your Huckleberry" burger is my favorite, but you can't go wrong with any burger or hot dog on the menu. The garlic fries are amazing but I think the onion rings are very underrated, definitely the best in Billings. The shakes are great too. Lastly, it's a family restaurant with 3 generations of Halsten's in the house and that just makes me feel good about going there. Everyone on the staff is extremely helpful, the service is always excellent. I've eaten at Burger Dive probably close to 100 times in the last four years and have never once been disappointed.

Hands down best burger joint in Billings. The Jim Beam and Coke burger is my personal favorite. I'm sure I'm not alone there. It's a little on the pricey side but it beats anything else nearby without question. I wish they'd stay open later in the evenings. Parking can be a complete nightmare in the small lot, so I'd recommend finding a spot a block or two away.

Food was good. However, with how busy it was our waiter did not pay attention to us at all. He paid so much attention to a table next to us though. He didn’t bring us our food a busser did, and then he never once asked us how it was or if we needed anything. We had to ask multiple people for our ticket because we needed to leave, and it took forever for them to bring it. Once we paid, the waiter just dropped our card back on the table. Good food, not good service.

Expect a wait to be seated. This place frequently has a line outside and around the building. It's not because they are slow in the kitchen. It's because they truly have award winning burgers here. So many award's adorn their walls . They have some the most flavorful combinations on a burger you can dream of. No plain food here. There are tasty shakes,burgers,hot dogs,chilli,soup,Wilcoxsons ice cream and a flaming s'mores shake EVERYONE needs to try. Great service. Even though it's standing room only sometimes, your cup never goes empty. Worth the wait and every dollar you spend.

We like to check out new places to eat when we travel. Usually the reviews we read are a bit of an over estimate of the quality we find. Not so for "The Buger Dive". If arugula and goat cheese are common items on the menu we usually give the place a skip, but this time the rest of the menu sounded good. Not only was it good, it was GREAT! Real meat, cheese and potatoes. A variety of very tasty toppings! Fast and courteous service! And afterwards, great flavorful shakes/malts. Even went back on our way back through town. Highly recommend this place.

Just had lunch there and let me tell you what incredible food! I am a vegetarian and had the home made veggie burger done up "Thunder bolt style" with ghost pepper sauce, habaneros, and pepperjack cheese. Best burger hands down. My husband got the thunderbolt as well but full on beef. We were so impressed with the food and service. Try the garlic fries wowza!!!! We are new to the area and will be returning.

The Burger Dive serves the best burgers in Billings if not the best in Montana. This restaurant has many unique burgers, such as the Huckleberry Hatch Burger, a burger with huckleberry hatch barbeque sauce, and the Juicy Lucy, two burger patties encapsulating molten american cheese. The shakes here are also the best in Billings, from cookies and cream shakes, to Twinkie shakes, all are delicious and I highly recommend ordering one. However, you must make sure that you come at a slower time as this restaurant gets very busy and has little available seating space. All in all, this is a delicious restaurant with many options that will appeal to any person.
