Reviews of Six Feet Under Pub & Fish House - Grant Park
Absolutely enjoyed Six Feet Under. To start, we shared the calamari, fried oysters, quesadillas, conch fritters, and oyster Rockefeller. We also ordered a fried platter (with oysters, shrimp, cod, hushpuppies, and chips.), spicy buffalo chicken sandwich, onion rings, and collard greens. Of course, I had to get drinks as well. We split a pitcher of the "Killer" House margarita, a glass of chardonnay, and a peach margarita. Everything was absolutely delicious and our server was extremely attentive. I truly enjoy visiting new spots but I absolutely can't wait to go back.
Amazing atmosphere! Super fun pub across from the cemetery which gives it that creepy cool vibe. Food is excellent. The blackened catfish is superb. I have ordered blackened catfish from a multitude of restaurants and always ask for tartar sauce as a dip, but this catfish was so well flavored that it was perfect as ordered. The fried Okra is exceptional. Great flavor and wonderfully battered. There is a full bar but the ATL old fashioned is a perfect addition to any meal. I also had the cemetery sour which was delicious. Several desserts to choose from. The bread pudding is not too sweet and not as soggy as most puddings are, it's a must try.
First time visiting this establishment and it definitely won’t be my last! I arrived with an empty stomach and left with a full stomach! Everything was fresh and tasty at the same time. The atmosphere was very chill and laid back. If you ever get a chance to visit, sit outside where you can eat good food and enjoy the view! I highly recommend!
Six feet under is located directly across from the Atlanta public cemetery, so that's where the name comes from. The atmosphere was really good, except they had their air conditioner brake. The waitress was amazing and did an excellent job. The food was really good and had a lot of clever names. Based on other reviews, I was aware of the tipping situation, where if your entire party spends $100 then the tip is automatically added. So be careful when you go there, but it is clearly indicated on the menu what this policy is. The place is meant more for adults, but they do allow children. The atmosphere is full of beer, partially naked women, and even Johnny Cash flipping you off in a picture on the ceiling.
The Crab Cake Sliders 🦀 and Combo Basket was everything our server Alex, said they'd be! The restaurant's ambiance caters to your socializing and entertainment must-haves! The seafood is just as fresh as it is delicious. Our server Alex offered an amazing vibe and outstanding suggestions; she was most certainly delightful!!! Six Feet Under will become a regular and I can't wait to experience its nightlife!
If you’re looking for fried seafood definitely come here. The menu is huge so anyone should be able to find something. Healthier menu options leaves some to be desired with the amount of food they give you. With that being said it’s Atlanta staple so I will definitely be back, just learn what’s worth it and what might not be and you’ll have a great time
I was slightly apprehensive about visiting 6 feet under, only due to a concern that it would be gimmicky with less than stellar food. However, I found my visit to be absolutely perfect. My server Debbie was incredibly efficient and super sweet without being overbearing. I only stopped in for a quick lunch, and I still can't believe how fast they were with everything. I ordered the appetizer buffalo shrimp and a bourbon lemonade. I highly recommend both. I'm excited to come back and try so much more of this elevated, but non-pretentious pub seafood.
Loretta our server was great and super honest about the menu and she was very helpful. The food was good not as good as I would expect for the price but definitely good. The drinks were good as well. The food is fried to perfection though nothing was over cooked. Honestly just a little over priced for what it is but definitely good.
A classic Atlanta hotspot. Solid pub style food with a cool rooftop. Started off with the conch fritters and Moved on to the fish and chips. Tom went with the shrimp and scallops, tangy with lemon baked very nicely not to heavy on the oil. Yummy!!!
MP was too inflated for me. I was told well over 100% markup for just 1 lb of snow crab, so I passed. Luckily there's plenty of other good food here. The salads you could get a soup and salad combo, but no offer to add proteins to a salad. So I had a spinach salad, jalapeno hush puppies, and onion rings. The onion rings had a perfect thin batter. Hush puppies had a hint of jalapeno flavor, but not much. I asked for butter and was brought melted butter instead of solid butter, which was odd to me getting it for hush puppies. The bacon vinaigrette for the spinach was really good. Had amazing service from Bella.
Superb dining experience! They have amazing waiters who are very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and light on the stomach, the atmosphere was pretty cool too!
The service and food was outstanding! The ambiance was perfect for fun casual dinning. I will return whenever I'm back in Atlanta.
So, do I fuss about the tip that is applied automatically when the bill is over an amount, when normally a tip is automatically applied when a table has more than so many people? There was a written notice, but i missed it. I ended up tipping approx 42% on my bill. The food was fine. Nothing amazing. Fish and chips mostly at our table of our table of 4. Drinks were good. The atmosphere was fun, across from the landmark cemetery and a relaxed environment. Server and intro persons were nice, so the extra tip to the server is fine, but I'm still ruffled. I don't think the price before my mistake was really worth it... but it was soooo not worth it after my mistake. Am I wrong to review lower? Or is it a warning for those on vacation who have let their hair down? Be aware, pay attention. Enjoy cautiously.
Cool spot. Fish stew is the best. I try to get different stuff but naw. Oysters are cool. Beers. Friends enjoyed their meals fried fishes. Fritters. Outside dinning. Outside bar area.
Food was amazing, salmon was cooked to perfection & full of flavor. I had steamed oysters for the first time with parm cheese, spinach and garlic! It was amazing, we also ordered a Caesar salad with blackened shrimp. Service was great!!
I love this location and the staff is always so sweet. The food is super good especially the clam chowder and fish dishes. The drinks are strong as well so you’re always getting your moneys worth.
The atmosphere was astonishing. The service was great we had to wait 25mins because it was so packed but well worth it. The shrimp and grits were amazing but my favorite was the white chocolate banana bread pudding with ice cream!!!
Dear Six Feet,
Your food was pretty good. The guitar artwork was lovely. I had to deduct two stars, however, for the 20% gratuity that our party of three was charged THAT NO ONE EVER SAID A WORD ABOUT EVEN THE SERVER WHEN WE HANDED HER A CASH TIP. What a racket! I feel like I came to your restaurant in a pandemic to support local and drop $100 for lunch, and you repaid me by stealing money from me. No thanks. Buyer beware. If your bill is over $50, your 20% tip is included!
Really good food and customer service. The cocktails were also pretty good imo (I drink socially so not ultra experienced)
We shared a few appetizers and had some cocktails. Patio seating on the roof was perfect. Seafood quesadilla and calamari, delicious. My daughter had the fish and chips and I would absolutely order that again. Yum!
Awesome selection of oysters ( east coast varieties and gulf) delicious gator bytes and some sweet crab cake sliders and jalapeño hush puppies were delicious! Great selection of local beers and big ole bar filled with beautiful people!
My perspective on pub food, going in, is always negative. It's like going to a dive bar versus a cocktail bar, you feel? Typically low quality ingredients; clog -your-arteries greasy a'f; just throw-it-on-a-plate-and-go typa ugly; etc. So my bar of expectation was rather low when my friends wanted to go here. I stood rather impressed with the menu and the resulting presentation of the dishes.
Things you should know:
I. PARKING
Six Feet Under shares a private parking lot with Little Tart Bakeshop. The available spaces are BEHIND the building. But wait, hold up, they fill up and stay filled up. You're lucky if you find a spot. But, breathe, I got chu with an alternative. Scale the lot out first.. by then you'll see an obvious apartment complex adjacent to the restaurant. Go ahead and find you a parallel parking spot there if you didn't find a space. OR along Woodward Ave SE. I've done both of these choices various times so you won't get towed. Guaranteed.
II. QUALITY
I got the gumbo soup. Me and my friends were very happy with the quality and presentation. It's better than your average bar food.
III. SERVICE
Our waiter was chill. He gave us all the details and answered our picky questions (haha sorry, waiter). No crazy wait periods for drinks or checks. He even offered us water cups to go.
IV. CAPACITY
Fair amount of available seats for a Friday lunch hour
The atmosphere of the restaurant was very dingy, the bathrooms were super rough. The food was okay, I thought a little too salty for the fish and underdone for the fries.
The service wasn't great either they kept mixing up orders and bring the wrong ones out.
Really nice oyster bar. I loved sitting on the rooftop and getting to overlook the gorgeous cemetery. A highlight of my visit to Atlanta.
It is a cool spot to visit. It is a bit expensive considering I ordered the combo and my side of jalapeño hush puppies were larger than the entire combo platter. I would actually recommend Captain D for fried food and price. I ordered an old fashion just because I am on a mission to find the best bartender who can make this properly. :) Yeah, that is the combo combined with my hush puppies.
This is a cool place. I've visited several times w/friends. This visit was just before the Dia de los Muertos event @ Oakland Cemetery.
The food and drinks were on point. I had the chicken tacos and my boyfriend had the shrimp tacos. We also ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes & Buffalo Bites for appetizers.
Overall, it was a great visit. The service was good. But could've been better! This would not deter me from visiting again.
The food was decently seasoned, you feel welcomed and greeted at the door simply a amazing experience.
The food was great! I took my father for his birthday and he enjoyed it. I order the cod fish and he had the catfish. The waitress did a fabulous job! I will be returning.
The gator bites were insane!!!! I ended up getting the salmon sliders which were perfect!!! The sauce and bacon on them were the perfect addition. I also got the spinach as a side and it just melted in my mouth I would definitely recommend.
We went for dinner honey and I. Morgan our server was very attentive and exceptional server. Drinks were good. I order the fried catfish basket extra crispy it was very very good with home made potato chips. The catfish was seasoned well and the best I’ve had in a long time. My honey had a Caesar salad with blackened shrimp it was very good. We had the fried green tomatoes for our appetizer very tasty. Nice atmosphere very good dinner. Bartender was good pour great drinks we will be back soon.
We had a good experience. We were seated quickly despite them not taking reservations. We both ordered the blackened catfish. It was delicious and nicely seasoned. I find some blackened seasoning to be salty, but this was the prefect amount of seasoning and spice. The zucchini fries and whole fried okra had a nice crunchy batter. My asparagus was nothing special and the turnip greens were just ok.
I needed a quick fix after leaving the Georgia Aquarium and this place did not let me down. 😂 I ordered the seafood basket with catfish, fried shrimp and scallops. The staff was excellent in food suggestions. First time having fried scallops and will try again. The catfish was tender and the shrimp was cooked properly. Also had the gator bites for an appetizer. Not too shabby! I would eat there again in a heartbeat!
It was ok... Baked parm oysters had a bit too much cheese which overpowered the oyster. Got combo platter with cod, oysters, and shrimp which was ok but a little greasy for my taste. Onion rings very greasy as well. Yes.. they are fried but it was as if the food went straight from the fryer to the platter without being drained. Great if you like to drink and eat greasy food. Service was very good
The food and sauce are special here! Love the grits with shrimp and fried onion and cheese, and the fried catfish and ocre are so tasty!! The special Alabama sauce worth a try!
I went with a friend and we had a great time! A luck would have it, we beat a rush of people by about 10 minutes....good for us but the poor waiter had so many tables, that it was difficult for him to give proper attention to each. The food was delicious as always and though I thought I could finish my basket, there were leftovers. All in all, great food and a decent price as well! I'll be back soon!
The wait was a little long but that was to be expected on the Sunday before Halloween. We had a group and were celebrating my birthday so the waitress made sure we had a big enough table. The young lady was very pleasant throughout the evening. Everyone enjoyed their food!! I was brought a complimentary dessert for my birthday--a chocolate brownie with ice-cream that was so delicious! I look forward to going back.
So good! Love their take on the classics. Definitely try the shrimp po boy and onion rings.
We got dinner here before a movie at Madison Park and the line at Muchacho was too long. Apparently this place used to be a neighborhood hotspot but many of the newer things further east have taken their business.
Dinner was good. I got Seared Tuna and Jalapeño Hushpuppies, which were both pretty good. The atmosphere in here is also pretty cool - kind of like a beach bar.
Good seafood and good bar atmosphere, just not stellar.
This is one of our favorite places to eat when we are in Atlanta. Great food, great service, great atmosphere!
We ordered both types of oysters on the raw bar menu and both were fantastic, very fresh. Conch fritters were among some of the best I've ever eaten. The fish stew was bisque-like; excellent taste with large pieces of seafood. Really very satisfying and delicious and I'd recommend giving it a try. I will return next time I'm in Atlanta.
I have heard about this restaurant for years. Today was the first time I went. The service was excellent. The menu looked very good aside from the appetizers named after mouse, rat and dragon toes. The fried green tomatoes were delicious, a must try. I couldn't go wrong with the crab legs. They were so good. It may be a good idea to provide a plastic bib for the customers who order the crab legs. The napkins don't cut it.
Otherwise it was a great first time visit.
Seated at the bar to eat! The bartender was great food came out quickly the menu price changed a lot. Some items were once priced but are now at market price! The area was clean restroom was clean. They may need to check on toilet paper and need to check on napkins if it was running low. The dining area needs to be swept over but it was over-clean! The dragon toe was okay with the scallops being bigger for the price. Rat toe was spicy and good. I didn't like the ranch too much buttermilk. The blackened catfish was good the burger had too much lettuce.
We heard that this place was a MUST so we knew we had to try it!
We really enjoyed not only the food but vibe and environment! It was a great place for a delicious bite. The staff was awesome and food was quick. We decided that the food was definitely worth the price, the portions are VERY filling and we could have definitely shared our meal as one but we still loved everything we got! If we’re ever back in the area we’ll definitely come back for more!
The food and service is good but I’ve definitely had better value for oysters at other places ($3-3.8 per oyster - we ordered 12) we ended up paying around $42 dollars for just oysters alone!! Insane price and smaller than the ones at oyster bay restaurant
Also i ordered fish and chips and got one piece of fried fish. Pretty skimpy but the meal tasted great.
The Fried Catfish was fantastic! I also tried the Spicy Rat Toes and the Conch Fritters which were both delicious. Everyone was friendly and I could tell it was a great team environment. The place had a lot of old beer platters as decor and old boxes of beer. It was pretty cool. I will definitely come again.
Awesome birthday dinner with my hubby! Oyster shooters are so delicious!! Dinner and drinks we perfect. Waitress was very attentative and sweet!
Let's start w the waiter! He was great. Checked in and made sure we kept drinks. Now to the food... GREAT. Everything we had was good. Only thing I didn't care for was my coleslaw but that's just a personal preference. I'm definitely visiting again!
Loved the food we literally ordered based off a picture and our food came out the same way and just as delicious as the picture!
I throughly enjoyed my fried catfish dinner. My family also enjoyed their meals. Highly recommend this restaurant.
The meal was awesome. Had the combo Cod, Oysters, and Shrimp with roasted potatoes. Also had a side of shrimp ceviche. Sweet tea was great, crystal clear and tasting fresh from clean urns and pitcher.
My server was from the bar and kept my glass filled. He had stylish socks that did not match making for awesome attire.
So this was my 1st time ever eating here; a friend was planning to meet us there and couldn't make it. We went anyway and I'm so GLAD we did!! The food was simply amazing and the service was awesome! Emily did a great job as a server and did I mention the food?!
I had the fried green tomatoes app and while not typically a fan of horseradish, the sauce was fire! 😁 I then had a seafood combo/basket of fried catfish, shrimp and oysters. WOW!! Fried and seasoned to absolute perfection and it was sooooo friggin tender... like flaky, fall apart, melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness.
I unequivocally recommend this place! No hesitation, pause or delay. Worth every, single penny.
Cool grant park spot with good seafood, tasty cocktails, a nice rooftop patio, and a friendly/helpful staff. A little pricey - can't get out of there without spending a $100 bill for two people with tip, so I don't frequent this spot as much as I'd like. But still a good place to go.
This restaurant is across from a cemetery hence the name! Sit rooftop if you can. Stylish place with a nice view. They have unique appetizers and pour their drinks strong. Great food and service. I got the "Big Tuna" and it was amazing. Definitely coming back!!
Good hotel for decent price. Nice and friendly staff. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and what you can expect from a Hilton-based hotel.
There is a pool (I didn’t use so no review on that) and there is a bar you can order (only 4 items/burger, salad, etc) of dinner that will be brought by an external party (not the best but OK)
Parking is possible but paid (small amount). There is valet parking possible. The parking space is sufficient.
The hotel is near the airport and there is a shuttle bus available to the (domestic) area of the airport.
I had a lovely experience dining at this establishment (blackened catfish plate + roasted potatoes). The lemonade was delicious. Also, the Host, Chris, very graciously offered a $10 gift card for the wait and Ana was a wonderful waiter. Will be back soon and will recommend!
Absolutely delicious! Went in here with family while in town for lunch. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and on top of things! Our food was fresh and tasty. I highly recommend this establishment!
This place was awesome. Food was really, really good (catfish basket, salmon BLT sliders, salmon salad, bread pudding). The bread pudding was the best I've ever had. Drinks were very good too. Service was nice, a little slow but we weren't in a hurry.
The atmosphere was welcoming the host/hostess were both very attentive.
Our server was truly a delight Blake if your reading this aka (MM)you made our afternoon so pleasant! Our food was so fresh and delicious...
We'll definitely dine again...
Our second visit to Six Feet Under, but first to this location. Our server was really good. We had a party of 8 and they were able to accommodate us fairly quickly. I had the fried catfish basket with coleslaw and hush puppies. The serving size was decent. The fish was very good. The hush puppies and coleslaw was ok, but lacked some flavor (something was missing). Everyone else greatly enjoyed their dinners. Overall a good experience!
The food was amazing and the customer service was excellent Jeremy on the roof top was outstanding you guy's need more bartenders and waitress like him he is one of a kind I will be back if Jeremy is working Great job I was so happy he did not miss a beat!!!💯✔😍 …
First time in decades that I was dissatisfied. I picked the worst meal. Shrimp cooked in parchment paper. Tasteless. Ordered a peach margarita and it was also flavorless and rather bitter. Friends drink was also disappointing. Maybe it was just an "off" Monday.I 😒 …
Use to be my fav. Hadn't been in a few years. Was just ok. Salmon was dry, zucchini fries didn't taste the same, fried okra wasn't great. Disappointed. Waited all day to eat there. But great atmosphere and area
Great atmosphere, bar and dining on one side, kitchen and more dining on the other. Upstairs. Parking behind. room temperature Corona and pecan pie. Had the shrimp and grits, blackened catfish, fine. Would gladly return
5 stars for the drinks alone! 4 stars because food isn’t always the best. I’ve been about 3 times now and the drinks are always spot on & delicious (& can pack a punch lol). Staff was friendly and communicative, checked in frequently without being interruptive.
The lump crab cakes are the best & I recommend the pushing up daisies drink!
Oh & beware there is street parking as well as a parking lot in the back, but parking rules can be a bit confusing since the signs say the lot is for “The Jane” customers only.
3-12-21 - Wife and I went to Six Feet Under, this location, to get out and for something different. Was able to get a parking spot. The area has changed, and has other choices in the area. The wait was 20 minutes. Prices slightly different, menu much the same. We were seated. April was our server, and she was on it. It was crowded, but not too crowded. We ordered the fried shrimp 🍤 basket, and taco 🌮 combo with fries (shrimp, catfish, and calamari). Food came out quickly and they turned to the UNC ACC tournament game for me. Fresh were cold, and she brought me fresh fries. Ordered shrimp and scallops with double fries for my daughter to go. Good night out. Will be back, but wife will not get the chips next time.
WOW! Totally awesome place! Great beer selection, excellent service, and the food was definitely worth it!!! Seafood lovers kind of place! Foodie heaven, across from the historic cemetery which is beautiful! Bring your appetite for the big six feet under boil which feeds two! Yes they have CHIMAY beer on tap! Awesome place with good vibes and great atmosphere!
The food was awesome as usual. The drinks are always good here as well. However if your tab goes over 100 they automatically charge a 20% service charge. The tab for myself and my sister was $103 or something like that. That service charge did not include gratuity. Our waiter was new as well so you know how that goes. Now the manager was grand and kind enough to take it off plus there was something that was taking too long that never made it to the table. It was an annoying tasty visit. I just don't like the service charge. It make me feel like I gave a $35 tip when it wasn't remotely close to being warranted. I normally tip 20% as a rule of thumb as long as the service is decent but it wasn't. So noooo I didn't want to leave what felt like a $35 tiiiiiiip 😂. We will just split the bill the next time we go. Food and drinks still rockn after being a patron for more than 10 years.
The grant park location is our home away from home! My family and I have been coming here since 2016. Aside from the amazing seafood and gator bites ( you have go try the baked Parmesan oysters) - I've shared many laughs, tears, cheers, and good memories with the staff and bartenders!
Six Feet Under is Atlanta's best destination for fried fish and beer. The bar downstairs is fun and the rooftop patio is the best place in Atlanta to enjoy a summer evening. I especially love their chicken and shrimp. I wish they have a bit more variety of sides, but the oil is always fresh and the food is excellent.
Came with a group - about 10 of us. We had eaten, so we ordered appetizers. Why did I order the crab cakes when I'm from MD? I don't believe I've ever had a crab cake that bad. It may have 25% crab meat in it. The filler was disgusting. Another in our group ordered them and agreed with me.
The food was great and the atmosphere was pretty nice. It was mid-afternoon on a Saturday when we went, so there was a decent sized crowd. Because of that our food took a lil time to come out, but there was no serious wait in spite of that.
Got the shrimp and scallop platter. Shrimp overcooked but scallops were excellent and both were small in size which was disappointing for the price. Zucchini fries still great. Alex was a great waitress.
What lies @ the other end of Oakland Cemetery ?
A Big building with a nice patio upstairs for friend’s or family.
Our server, Jeremy, was dope & well-informed.
I tasted a new pale ale, Soul of the City by Atlanta Brewing Company. Citrus notes & mild hops throughout.
All we had room for was a round of drinks & a quick meal. Crab Cakes & Oysters Rockefeller seemed rather reasonable. Both dishes were absolutely alluring & tasty beyond expectation !
I will see you all again in the future !
Atmosphere: 8.5 | 10
Service: 9 | 10
Food: 9 | 10
The food was great! However, the service for the outside bar area was not good Our meal consisted of crab cakes, oysters, fish stew, snow crab legs, and fried catfish platter. The fish stew was our favorite!
Yummy fried shrimp tacos and onion rings. The spicy rat toes were not that spicy, but still tasty. Great location outside the Oakland Cemetary.
Absolutely the best customer service ever, our waiter was superfantastic, every recommendation was just as she say it would be and more... l will truly go back again, in hopes of sitting in her section.. forgot her name but she has been there 21 years.... God Bless you...💛🌟⭐️
This was a fast find for my Husband and I. I like the reviews about the view and the food so we went for it. Looking for local hidden places with a variety on their menu this is a great selection. Even though pandemic regulations restricted us from going on the balcony we decided on outdoor street side table. I love seafood so I ordered the Fried Fish basket(forgot the actual name sorry) with the whole fried okra. The fish was good but of course I wished for one more piece as I was given two 3' inch pieces that were VERY tasty. My husband had the chicken tender basket(very picky eater) and he enjoyed it. We ordered a pitcher of the Silver Margarita that was ok, kinda bland on alcohol and lime flavoring. The whole fried okra were tasted, but could've been hotter on deliver, but very tasty plus unique!! We walked up to the bar to order since we were outside and our waitress was very knowledgeable and professional(wished I remembered her name) and Brandon delivered our food and was very nice. A place that sticks out in our week long road trip that I decided to review because we will be returning. Thank you guys for great service during a tough time. 2021 UPDATE: I'LL JUST POST A PICTURE BECAUSE I WASNT TOO HAPPY. I ordered the same meal today and you'll see the difference. Service was COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. Just look at the picture!
Always amazing food, drinks & great service!
Had a very dinner with friends. Nice atmosphere and were seated promptly. The service was fantastic. Drinks came out quickly and were very tasty. The food was well done and very flavorful. A ton of sides to choose from. Portions were plentiful for us.
Great restaurant. Spacious with a great atmosphere. Food was above average. Prices were $$. Staff was friendly, engaging, and active.
Food was outstanding but our service was not great. The server spilled stuff all over my camera and camera bag and didn't even offer to get anything to help clean up. Totally ignored that it happened. This is not my first time eating there and usually the service is amazing.
Wonderful Brunch with shrimp & grits. Bloody Mary too! Followed by bread pudding with white chocolate (instead of raisins). Reccomended
You can never go wrong with six feet under. The seafood is fresh and the drinks are on point. I especially love the Bloody Mary do it yourself bar... all the fixings. I usually order Fried Catfish, Spinach Salad and the Fried Whole Okra. The Gator bites ate tasty too. However, the oysters are just ok.
The food was okay, I've lived in Savannah for years and I know good seafood. I would come back with a friend but not by myself. The service and atmosphere was phenomenal.
Visited on Mother's Day. We had a party of 12 and told wait would be about an hour and a half. It ended up being about 30 mins. I wanted to try the gator bites but they were out. We had calamari, chicken bites and Oyster Rockefeller as appetizers which were all pretty good. I ordered fish and chips (fries) which was ok. The tarter sauce was extremely good as I have a thing for homemade sauces and dips. We tried the bread pudding based on reviews and HATED IT! The brownie was just like any ole regular heated brownie with a side of vanilla ice cream. Our server was EXCELLENT. And I'm glad because a 20% gratuity of $69 bucks was added to our bill. I would hate automatic tips for bad service. Wish we could have dined on the rooftop but the limit is 10. 4 out of 5 stars.
The Service waa good short wait time. We sat up top on the balcony. DEFINITELY try the Baked Garlic and Parmesan Oysters...... they were Delicious, Hot, and Ready.
Love the atmosphere here. Great barstools with seat-backs. Full bar; TVs; outdoor and rooftop seating. I had blackened shrimp and grits and found the grits lacking in flavor and a bit too watery. There was no blackening on the shrimp and no char (which I asked for). The fried food of others looked good and was enjoyed. I'll return.
Overall a good experience. Had the crab cakes and baked oysters as appetizers, both were delicious. Ordered the crab boil for dinner and was very good. The restaurant had a good atmosphere and a nice view from the roof
Came here for lunch on an overcast Tuesday afternoon. It was crowded inside so we opted to sit outside. Their outdoor section is on the roof with a bar and covered patio area. This gave a nice view of the cemetery across the street. I ordered the catfish tacos which were very delicious. I enjoyed our meal here and have no complaints. I would eat here again.
This was amazing. Great ambiance, powerful menu, and the lemon drops were perfect! We love everything about this restaurant and look forward to coming back again and again
This place was just what we need. The atmosphere was on point, our waitress, Renee was not only knowledge about the food but was also very knowledgeable about the reason they didn't have straws. They don't have paper or plastic straws to save the environment. However, they do sell metal straws and all the proceeds go, currently, to the victims from Hurricane Michael. They match the amount sold as well. After that, they will continue to give to different causes and areas that need help.
Moving on, I had oysters Rockefeller and gumbo with their fried chips. My husband had fried shrimp and chips. The food, the drinks, the service... impeccable! Renee was very attentive and didn't mind answering any questions that we had about the food or the environmental causes they support.
The manager, whose name I did not get to catch on our way out was friendly and informative as well and thanked us for visiting and naturally, invited us to come back any time we are in town. GREAT EXPERIENCE! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!
We went two days in a row and I absolutely loved both days. I was not a fan of the Seafood quesadillas but that’s only because I don’t like feta cheese. Everything else was amazing. Their drinks were top notch and the service was great. The second day we went we chose to sit up stairs and I will be doing that every single time from now on. Their upstairs dining area is pretty much a covered patio so to sit up there while it was raining was really cool!
Food is great and varied. I could use a little more spice on the salmon sliders. Servers are diligent and efficient in a crowd.
I have been to this restaurant many times, and not once have I eaten in the main dining room, because the ROOFTOP is amazing. It overlooks Oakland Cemetery, one of the most beautiful and historic spots in Atlanta. I find that the rooftop bartenders and servers are very friendly and accommodating. They have great cocktails here, with a graveyard theme like "pushin up daisies" (my favorite) and "tombstone tea." I'm told the beer selection is good (hubby). The food is pretty good, I've never had anything I didn't enjoy. They have oysters and good seafood choices. My photos are only the rooftop...again....the best spot. Thanks for reading! Like my review, please!
The Food Was Great, Served Hot & Fresh And Digested Well The Next Day I Didnt feel Sick or Queasy Only Exception I Have it Doesn't Have an Authentic Taste was kind of Bland On the Cod Fish Sandwich, I Seasoned it with Old Bay, Salt & Pepper, Lemon Juice and Hot Sauce, The Homemade Lemonade was Very Tart & Sugary We Diluted it with Water and I Just ended up Ordering A Coke The Coleslaw was Good Light and A Bit Sweet but Savory, Hush Puppies was Mostly Bread Sauces was Delicious and KeyLime Pie was Good but Had a Lemon Meringue Texture My Server was Nice and Answered all My Questions And helped me choose from the Menu it was My Boyfriend and I 1st Time Here we would Return and Yes I Recommend!!!!!
It was okay. The wait for outdoor seating was 45mins on a day where the place was more than half empty and that was one of the main reasons I chose this spot so I was a little disappointed. Our server was very nice but I had to wait and ask for a fork to eat my food. Their portions are small for the price but overall it was okay. I may go back one more time if I can get there early enough to sit rooftop.
I always request Overlook patio seating. The ambience and the food is great! The drinks are OK but definitely not worth some of the prices. But for good food, and good company, and good decor, this is your place. There are several bars nearby if you just have to have a really good cocktail.
Food was good, young female hostess was not good and almost made me walk out. However the male host and waiter with the dreadlocks made up for the bad initial experience,
Our server Jamie was great! The atmosphere was awesome & we will definitely be back.
Always a treat to eat here! April is a great server.
Six feet under was an awesome experience. It seems like it is appropriately named, as it is across from a huge semitary. I believe the name is for its seafood themed menu. There servce, food, experience, and atmosphere was all top tier. The alligator bites were a fun and delicious appetizer. It was my first time having gator. It's good. This is a great restaurant and worth a visit.
The food is wonderful! We sat outside because we were traveling with our dog. There was not full table service outside but we were able to order at the window by the bar. We sampled quite few appetizers and each had an entree. Every item was warm and delicious. We could not have been happier!
It was aight!!! Our server Nichole (she works in the bar area) made it magnificent!!
You're awesome Nicole with the beautiful model daughter!!!!😁😁😁
Fresh seafood served daily. Rooftop seating faces either the city or Oakland Cemetery.
Arrive early with your entire party for the best seating options, as there is usually a wait
"Where you are now, so we once were. Where we are now, so you shall be." Food was bomb. Codfather with fried egg., Dope. And thanks to our host Dominic for being so 😎 👍 awesome.
A consistent, neighborhood seafood pub / restaurant. The atmosphere ranges from casual sports bar to casual dining, great place for quality seafood at a local establishment.
Loved the atmosphere of this place. It wasn't the typical seafood restaurant look which I loved. It wasn't too crowded or noisy. There was about a 20 minute wait but they send out the text to let you know when your table is ready. My husband order the Three Tavern Rapturous but didn't really care for it, only because he didn't realize it was a sour ale. I got a pomegranate margarita which was really good and later we both got killer margaritas which were just as delicious. For appetizer we got the oysters Rockefeller which were so so. They cooked them a little too long so the cheese on top was hard and burnt. Luckily the oyster underneath it all hadn't been affected, so we were still able to enjoy that. My husband got the fried combo platter with oysters, scallops and shrimp with jalapeño hushpuppies and zucchini fries. He enjoyed his meal. I got to taste the zucchini fries and they were really good I didn't care for the sauce that came with them though. I ordered the fried catfish platter which came with a HUGE piece of catfish that was perfectly seasoned for me, corn on the cob, Cole slaw which was surprisingly good and jalapeño hushpuppies which I just loved! I will definitely be going back to this place and our server Valentina was just as perfect as our meal was!
Awesome laid back seafood pub. I love the chill environment and the food is on another level. We had the baked parmesan oysters, buffalo shrimp, baked tilapia, and shrimp and scallops with spinach and corn on the cob. The peach and pomegranate margaritas hit the spot. I can't wait to go back.
This wasn't my first time at 6 Feet Under, and I'm sure it won't be my last. Just some real good eats, in a really neat part of Atlanta. And they have good beverages, too. The prices might seem a little steep, but trust me, the food is worth it. I had a bowl of gumbo and Kim had crab cake sliders. So darn good.
Enjoyed some shrimp tacos and corn on the cob and bread pudding for dessert.
Love coming here! Little pricey, but the food is delicious. Can't go wrong getting the mouse and rat tails as a starter. Whenever family visits the area, we always bring them here.
This was a great stop on the way home, classy side with a party on the other. Very unique place and name!! The fried green tomatoes, fish, zucchini fries and homemade ranch was our favorite 💜 keep up the clean place and the fresh food! This place is THE SPOT!! CHECK IT OUT! …
Mmmmm, mm! Delicious gator bites at a decent price! Lovely staff and atmosphere. Perfect drinks ♡
Be warned though: no straws... ...unless you wanna buy one to take home.
(Not gonna begrudge them for being environmentally conscious though)
Will definitely visit whenever my husband and I are in town!
Service was great!!! Do NOT go here if you have allergies to seafood as ANYTHING fried is not safe to eat (french fries, chicken strips, etc) ... But overall great place.
So I eat at the location on 11th St., Northwest. This place was just as good. Really enjoyed the blackened shrimp tacos. My only suggestion add more blackening seasoning.
We had a very wonderful experience. The food was the bomb.com and the service was even better 😋
Food was great! It was really great when someone else paid. This is the Chicken salad substituted with Cod Fish. Yummy!! The orange drizzle just makes it the best salad ever!
The food and service were great. Ecologically responsible only offers stainless steel straws for $1. Portions were generous and temperature of food was excellent throughout the meal. The fries were wonderfully crisp; the shrimp tacos were the best. The fish was well cooked; the coleslaw was fair in comparison to the rest of the plate. The crab legs were plentiful and had to have a to go box. Would definitely recommend and visit again.
Great food, service was quick and responsive, and the drinks were interesting. Only negative was the food came out cold. Would highly recommend. Eat outside upstairs, much better experience.
We had great service and food was good, as expected. Love the zucchini fries and oysters
Good waitress but we were disappointed with the meal. Shrimp and scallops too strongly flavored with basil. I'd ordered it before and liked it. My partner had a combo basket, liked the fish but the calamari was chewy and overly breaded.
Wow, I got in the door at 10:30pm and the service staff still had a fresh, friendly, woke appearance. Cory was very helpful because I had a ton of questions. I ordered the fried green tomatoes and they where actually crunchy. Cory timed my entree delivery perfect. For me that means even though he was waiting on others he was aware of how far I was on my food. He was attentive but not overly. I got ample Crab Legs and the salad was very fresh. My only wish is that they add giving you a moist towelette to wipe your hands which is pretty standard after seafood of any kind.
The food is great and the atmosphere is nice as well. Best oysters I’ve had in a while.
this was my first time at this restaurant. I can say I had a awesome, delightful, and exquisite time. The staff was outstanding very friendly everyone was smiling and very attentive. I will definitely recommend this establishment for anyone visiting or to the locals it is a must eat location.
It was my first time, but I will be back. The service was very friendly, the menu has a great selection and the prices were fair.
It had been a while since I went to Six Feet Under but I'm glad to put it back in rotation. The fried fish basket was light and crisp - just as it should be. Although I do wish they knew to include melted butter for the hush puppies....
And of course the rooftop in the fall just can't be beat! It was too crowded to get a spot up there Friday night, but lunch on a Wednesday was wide open.
Anna took good care of me. Checked on my to make sure I was good. Her drinks was on point
Awesome place to wander into and grab a bite to eat. Some of the best sweet tea I've had in while...like momma used to make! The staff were great and atmosphere made me want to linger after my delicious blackened shrimp tacos.
The food was good and the service was better. The fried okra with the horseradish dip was excellent! I would return again for another meal.
A pleasant surprise. The catfish was delicious and my main dish, shrimp & grits, was different but good. The seasonings were unusual but still spicy and tasty. I plan to return to try other dishes.
I used to love this place. I decided to visit while in town and ordered blackened tacos and calamari. The tacos didn't have much flavor so I added the wasabi dressing from my mom's dish to give it a boost. They were out of gator bites that day 😟 …
Excellent! Really like this neighborhood gem. Great service and great menu. Lots of great fries seafood and raw oysters. Great service .
Loved the atmosphere of this restaurant we even got sat sooner than the waiting time on the rooftop bar which has an amazing view of the cemetery and Atlanta. The food was very good the seafood was very fresh I got the Parmesan baked oysters along with a half pound of peel and eat shrimp and the chimichurri jumbo shrimp which were all very delicious. The reason why I gave this restaurant 4 stars was because they were very busy and almost too busy to attend to us. My zucchini fries got cold before I could even ask her for the proper dipping sauce I wanted and the food runner ran me and my partner’s food to a different table and they had to make his food all over again due to the wrong customer touching it.
Servers were nice and accommodating. Location was clean and easy to walk to if you’re staying nearby.
Gator Bites were AWESOME. Husband loved his steak, although it wasn’t cooked to preference. I ordered the sesame crusted tuna and it was less to my liking - didn’t have much flavor.
The location was good; however, it lacks ability to serve, especially bar-side, when busy.
Texting notifications for a table is nice though!
The food here is great! I shared the steam platter with 2 friends w the Bloody Mary bar. The wait staff is attentive and polite.
Went on a Friday after work food was good but not great as I expected. Did not like the texture of hush puppies or onion rings. Peach margarita was delicious.
Great oysters and the chicken tacos and fried green tomatoes were outstanding!
I was enjoying my dozen raw oysters until this happened. This past Saturday evening, I visited the restaurant and ate at the bar. As I was eating my dozen of raw oysters, a patron decided to use an empty pitcher to vomit in at the bar. There was a couple beside me that witnessed it as well. We were very disturbed that someone did that. It was nasty, rude, disgusting, and very unhealthy for the restaurant. We quickly loss our appetite. I think the patron should have been escorted out immediately and the police called on him for public intoxication. I think management should enforce rules to keep patrons safe and respected. Hopefully, that pitcher container was thrown in the trash. I can't even imagine it being reused after a nasty incident like this. Unless the patron was sick or became ill due to the consumption of food or alcohol, the patron should have been politely asked to leave the premises due to unsightly behavior.
I also didn't get my military discount because I was told that I need to be in uniform. I was shocked. I had my official military ID. Shame on them.
The Spicy Rat Toes were a great way to start the evening! Yummy. I loved the mussels tomato based sauce...so tasty 😋.
Six Feet Under is reliably good. I've been there several times, and everyone I've been there with has enjoyed their meals. Good service and relaxed ambiance.
Nice rooftop deck overlooking Oakland cemetery. We only ordered an app and dessert. Rat toes were ok. Key lime pie was still a little frozen. Overall nice place to stop in after visiting the cemetery.
Ethan was an outstanding waiter, attention to detail was outstanding and his professionalism and attention to detail was phenomenal, great place HANDS DOWN!!!.. Coming Back! FOR SURE!!!!
Omg!!! On 04/20/19 was my first day visiting. This burger was delicious!!! It was so good and juicy. The meat was cooked to perfection. I love the ambiance of this place. I definitely would go again next time I'm in Atlanta.
Only negative thing is they do not offer straws bit you can purchase a metal straw for $1.
I enjoyed my time at this location. The staff was friendly and had helpful recommendations. The restaurant was clean and inviting atmosphere.
The place is always busy when we come but we've always been seated quickly. Staff was friendly as usual and even with them looking pretty busy we got our food pretty quick. I think it's a little pricey for catfish but quality is what you're paying for. And I love the area it's in plus right across from Oakland cemetery!
Such a great atmosphere and the food was amazing. Best seafood I have had in a long time.
Great place to grab a bite before or after touring Oakland Cemetery. We had a party of 12 and the service and food were excellent!
My food was delicious. I love their hush puppies! I definitely plan to dine there again when in town.
Fish and chips are great! Hush puppies are perfect! Love the atmosphere. Nice theme being across the street from the old graveyard.
Jada gave excellent service food was ok drink was delicious. I didn't care for the sauce on the salmon slider but otherwise overall pleasant 😋 ☺ 😊
The experience was good. Good food and outing to hang out with friends and family.
A local gem located across from Oakland Cemetery. Good food. Great bar server in either Peaches or Emily. Zucchini fries!
The place was packed. The bartenders were very friendly. The menu is mainly all fish and Seafood. The food was delicious. I highly recommend this place to everyone.
The grilled chicken salad is amazing! We were in from out of town and on our first visit we got gift cards to come back...needless to say that on our way back home we stopped by here to enjoy another delicious meal!
The drinks were delicious, the food options are mostly seafood, so it's harder to find food if you don't like seafood. Thankfully I do. For the price of the food however, I wish it was better. The calamari, alligator, and shrimp were just like regular bar food. The burger and chicken sandwich were fine. This was for my family that do not like seafood. Nothing stood out except the price. I'd go back for drinks though.
The food was wonderful. My husband and I wanted to have an impromptu date where we didn’t have to dress up or make reservations yet enjoy good food. We shared catfish platter and and an appetizer; we had 1lb of peel and eat shrimp. The drinks were also amazing. Beck was our server and she was awesome.
Came here today for my wife’s birthday, the service and food were great. All the staff were very friendly even though it was very busy. Definitely will be back!
Food is a little bland. Staff was very nice and everything was quick.
Back again and loved every minute of it!! The food, drinks, and service were divine!!!
Met my friend at Six Feet Under last year for a quick bite before heading to the airport. Food was good enough. I also visited the Historic Oakland Cemetery across the street. Six Feet under is perfect for a cold drink after being in the hot sun at the cemetery across the street.
What a great experience! Demetrius and Anna are awesome bar tenders and really enhanced our lunch. Get the "Pushing up Daisy's" along with the Bloody Mary bar.... outstanding!
Food is descent, lots of seafood, hush puppies are amazing. My salmon was dry and cold, don't order.
The appetizer shrimp quesadilla tasted amazing. It was a large portion as well. The fish and salads were also good.
The seafood gazpacho is too good to be missed. My server Becky was outstanding. Totally recommended.
I really didn’t like this place. My food arrived cold… no seasoning on the burger. The onion rings were cold and limp. Tap water really?! Others in my party said their food came out cold too. The only thing that came out smoking out was the corn. Server was attentive but was reaching over me and not saying excuse me??? Rude…. Waitress etiquette 101! Three stars are for the buffalo chicken bites…. Great! Should have just stuck with them. The shrimp taco presentation was good. The fried green tomatoes looked good but I didn’t taste them. I don’t think I would return. I can get better fish at Captain D’s. Or New Orleans seafood on Covinton Highway. Now that’s seafood!
Went here for lunch with a great friend of mine. The service was absolutely Rock Star Status. Our waiter had a super personality that meshed really well with our dynamic. I had a burger and fries and Jeff E. had the fried Shrimp and hush puppies basket. I highly recommend checking this pub out for great patio drinks and sun.
Unique atmosphere very professional and courteous staff excellent food and some of the best cocktails I have ever had I would definitely suggest going here but make sure you get there early they do not take reservations it's first come first serve and you may have to wait but it will be worth it we had the rat tails jalapenos stuffed with shrimp and wrapped in breaking awesome appetizer for dinner we had a catfish platter and blackened shrimp with grits very good very very good food..
Food is always good however portions were off. Didn't seem to get the portion sizes I'm use to.
Great seafood place to eat. We had friends in town and took them here. Everyone enjoyed their meals. And then we all got dessert. The white chocolate bread pudding was soooo good with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Delicious!
Such good fried food! If you are in the mood for fried fish, then definitely stop by. My sister-in-law was craving fried food (she's 35 weeks pregnant) and this place completely satisfied her craving. The roof top has a great view of the Atlanta skyline. My daughter was able to sleep very comfortably in her stroller on the rooftop - nice and shady. The bathrooms are clean and staff was nice and prompt seating and serving us. The waitress even brought hot water for my daughter's bottle.
Great service, seafood, oysters and drinks!
Great service, good food, fantastic cocktail called Six Feet Under Lemonade. I will definitely come here again.
Had the mixed tacos. Very good! Great service!
This location is great for gatherings of all sizes. They do not take reservations, so 1st come 1st serve. It is a large restaurant with plenty of indoor seating. On most days, they have rooftop seating, but that seems to be dependent on staffing limitations and/or weather conditions. There is a medium size parking lot in the back for restaurant patrons. It is not huge, but I always seem to find an available space. Their beverage menu has a nice selection of beers and I settled on the Hazy Little Thing IPA. The menu has a lot of fried and steamed seafood options. Our table ordered a couple bowls of Shrimp and Grits (of course), Salmon sliders, fried shrimp basket and steamed crab legs. Everyone cleaned their plates and loved their entrees. They have a limited dessert menu with only 3 choices: bread pudding, brownie or Key Lime Pie. We love this place and will definitely be back.
I got the blackened shrimp tacos (without cheese and wasabi), and they were very tasty! My friends all enjoyed their dishes as well. The outdoor upstairs patio was great, and the service was good, even when a couple side dishes were a bit delayed in coming out. Overall though, I like the atmosphere, food, and vibe and will definitely be coming back.
The food just wasn't very good. Cold fries, under-seasoned seafood, bland drinks. They also sat our family of 5 in direct sunlight (honestly they should not use these tables at this time of day.. it was torture). No apology or offer to move us as we all 5 huddled on 1 side of the table. Brought 2 of our 3 kids coloring menus, 2 forks for the table. Meh. Plenty of better options.
The waitress was awesome, the food was wonderful. I wish it was on in VA!
The best fish Taco's anywhere...ANYWHERE! Don't wait till you're six feet under, go for it now. Good beer selection, and plenty other entrees to select from too. Grab a table upstairs and take in some history.
This was great atmosphere from the drinks to the food. Server was awesome very attentive
Great place to get seafood or any food for that matter. This place stays consistently delicious and never let's me down on the beer selection. They have unique brews with a good local variety. The servers here are always professional and informative about the menu. Great place to go before visit the cemetery.
5 stars as usual! Abbey (sp?) was fantastic! Answers tons of questions and was super helpful. Food is always great.
Julie took care of a party of 9+ like a champ. Great people work at that place and the food is a hit.
Seafood Platter with Calmari and Jalapenos. Amazing Texas Margarita is large... Could not drink it all
One of my favorite places to watch a game. When the weather is nice, you can sit at the rooftop bar as well.
So good! Great service. I ordered the spinach salad simply yes plain no, they serve it with a hot bacon dressing that was yummy. I will be back!
I ordered alligator bites I don't know if it was well over cooked or what but I was eating cooked rubber.
Love this location. The original location because it is next to the cemetery. Really big space with lots of seating and friendly service. Love the calamari and the tacos here. Nice 🍺 on tap too. …
Fun pub/restaurant across from Oakland Cemetery. Excellent food and service! Nice vibes.
The service was great, food was tasty the only complaint I have it that we were seated near the bathroom and we had to deal with ppl that kept coming and going.
This was my first time visiting this location, but it won't be my last. Good food, good service, good atmosphere.
Fantastic food, service and atmosphere
The food was beautiful and just as good as it looks. They were super nice and we didn't have to wait very long. I would definitely come again.
The hamburger 🍔 was good but my guest wasn't to happy with the fish. They tried to make it work with the small selection of fish but it didn't work out to well. …
We all enjoyed the food here. Great atmosphere.
1st time customer, the service was great, the appetizers were delicious, the entrees were so so...
Love this eclectic restaurant. The decor, the vibe, the name, the food, the service- it is all great. I have never been to this restaurant when it not busy.
Good food. Large portions. They had everyone spaced out and it felt safe.
Food came out cool not hot, next time I will seat downstairs. Excellent atmosphere.
Absolutely stellar! I got more than I expected, and the food was amazingly tasty. I would travel to ATL just to eat this again. The coleslaw was unlike any other I've had, and same goes for the hush puppies. The Catfish was the star of the show though. Definitely stop here for your next meal.
The atmosphere is great. I love seating at bar vs just seating at a table. The bartender are friendly which is always a plus. I love the peach margarita along with the seafood quesadilla. Also, make sure to bring a debit or credit card since it is cashless now.
Lots of tvs, decent food, good lighting, nice atmosphere. Phenomenal vibes. 5/5.
I've been to six feet under for over ten years. Obviously, their food is delicious and I've never been disappointed with how good the food is. The last 2 trips were sub-par because the staff was really unfamiliar with allergies. I asked if a dipping sauce had milk in it, the staff member said they weren't sure and they'd put it on the side. I asked if they could check before they served it to me, and when they came back they said they were "pretty sure" I could have it. It's already stressful to go out to eat when you have food allergies, but this was particularly stressful. I think being in a restaurant you should know, or know who to ask, to find out if a meal has an allergen in it, especially when those allergens can have catsrophic results. I really hope this improves in the future.
I truly enjoy myself everytime I come here. The food is good and the atmosphere great although I kinda wish they had some dark theme elements scattered around since it is named Six Feet Under!? The topside patio is definitely worth checking out!!
Delicious shrimp and grits; one side of the rooftop dining area has a great view (the other does not); park at Oakland cemetery if there's no place to park near the restaurant!
#truereview. catfish not fried in cornmeal.... it's a taste preference. not a good value for the money... overhyped
Amazing dining experience. The food was incredible, the service was good and the atmosphere was perfect. I still can't get over how good the food was. A little on the pricey side but worth the splurge on occasion. Drinks were also well made.
Have not eaten here since the pandemic so I and the bestie decided to dine here. I ordered the calamari and the gator bites as an appetizer and she ordered the fried green tomatoes. Let me say, this was my first time EVER trying and or eating fried green tomatoes and they were really good. Not as crunchy as I expected but still good nonetheless. Now for our entrée, we both ordered the shrimp and grits. Now at first glance it looks quite appetizing but as tasted it, not so very much to my palate. They put a sweet drizzle over the grits which in turn makes the grits sweet. Not for me personally, I do not care for sweet grits. Creamy, yes but not sweet. What we also thought was odd or different is that they had cut up green beans in the grits as well. We thought that seemed out of place so we returned it back to the kitchen. We settled with a Cajun salmon salad. The dressing the comes with it was not good at all. Our waiter gave us the vinaigrette which tasted much better. Lastly, we ordered a peach and pomegranate margarita. Which were delicious. All in all, I would still recommend eating here. The scene and vibes were real chill! Who could ask for more!!
The food was good. I had the taco combo (fried fish, shrimp and chicken). The fish taco was my favorite. I wasn't a fan of the fried okra. The fried green tomatoes were ok but they needed a sauce. My kids enjoyed the fried catfish and cheeseburger.
Food was AMAZING! Our waiter Blake was one of the best! Can't wait to go back!!
The wife and I were out for an evening of fun and we definitely obtained the goal. We had a great time. The wait was minimal....gave us time to have a drink and hang out outside in front of the spot enjoying good conversation. The service was prompt and professional and very pleasant. The food was very good. The wife and I started with Gator Bites and Oyster Rockefeller..... Awesome! For the main course we shared the Six Feet Under Steamer, which is meant for 2...... Scrumptious! The drinks were pretty good too! I enjoyed a Jack and Coke and the wife had a Peach Margarita.
Very neat atmosphere and the rooftop is airy with a great view. The food overall is good, but I’ve had better seafood in other places around Atlanta. In particular, the fried oysters tasted a bit more fishy like they weren’t so fresh. But the clam chowder and conch fritters are amazing.
Came here maybe 3 weeks ago and the food was pretty good. The appetizer was expensive and incredibly small. Our waitress probably forgot about us or just assumed we didn’t want to order lunch considering we sat for nearly an hour with no acknowledgement after getting our appetizer and finishing it. We had to get her attention because our drinks were empty and we wanted each to get an actual meal, it wasn’t very busy either. I would have tipped ACCORDING to service but the gratuity is already applied based on DOLLAR AMOUNT, not the amount of people at the table.
Our Experience was excellent overall but the fact that they charge 20% gratuity when the bill is over $50 is just ridiculous, and If it wasn’t for that I would have gave them 5 stars. I understand charging gratuity when it’s a big party but this place is pricey so it’s easy to get to that $50 quick.
Our waitress was Vera and she was super friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, & one of the best waitresses I have ever had.
Our food was also great and at the end I got the bread pudding which was so freaking good! 😛😄
And I did tip on top of the gratuity because Vera was great… but I don’t know if I will go back 🤷🏽♀️
The food was amazing!! I ordered the fried catfish with the zucchini fries and asparagus. The atmosphere was very comfortable, until the bar crowd came in. Once people started rushing in, the front door was left open and then I had to fight bugs away from my plate. No one really goes out to eat, sit INSIDE and still have to play defense over their plate.
To sit on the roof top and just feel the breeze is the best
The location the parking is great
I never ate oysters but these had spinach and cheese and it was great not that slimy taste
I also had shrimp and scallops were small but the mussels were good
I ordered a killer margarita but hmm I didn’t taste good so I just got a regular shot so the waiter were nice nice place
Great food. They were out of the gator bites. The calamari and salmon sliders delicious.
The food was amazing and the staff was extremely friendly. I rolled the dice simply on their name alone as an out of town visitor and it was one of the best meals I’ve had.
Great spot, fun atmosphere and good food. I love seafood. The Salmon BLT sliders and Zucchini fries were yummy!!
The rooftop bar is amazing (even though you're looking at a graveyard, just get their Tombstone Tea cocktail and you'll be cool with it). The service was friendly and prompt (thanks Aubrey). The drinks were delicious and the mussels were fantastic. So glad we came here!
Wow the food was amazing I'll be back soon
Once seated the young lady, Jelisa, who was my server was very nice and welcoming. She was very attentive and made sure I was well taken care of. I sat facing the cemetery across the street...
Quality of food was pretty good. The gumbo was some of the best I've ever taste. Quantity nothing to be "Ooh Ahh" about for the $$$ spent. Service was great!
Customer service is great but this was our first time and the food was not all that to me. At our table we had the soup/salad, combo basket, fried calamari, and a shrimp basket. New England Clam Chowder and fried calamari was decent but for the baskets the fish wasn't seasoned. It just that I always see this place packed and I just expected the food to be on point. I would go back and try one of their boilers and hopefully that won't disappoint. Nice atmosphere though.
It's okay. I had the Crab Cake Sliders and they were good. The main thing that was keeping the experience from being anything more than just good was never having any drinks refilled without waiting and remembering to ask. I think the strengths this restaurant have is a nice outside upstairs area and their homestyle potato chips.
The shrimp po boy is very tasty. Service was good, prices reasonable given the in town location. Mid day parking is readily available.
I loved the atmosphere and the staff was great. Our server was very attentive (not annoying) and personable. My conch fritters and catfish tacos were just 'okay' though. Everyone else seemed to love their dishes so it may have just been me. I would definately try it again.
My friend took this shot with the raw oyster! He's braver than me!
Great place for catfish! Went for dinner and sat in rooftop. It was night so not too much of the cemetery to see but still nice. I had the blackened catfish and it was amazing. The fried okra was good as well, not too overbattered.
Nice spot the food was pretty good and the fish wasn't greasy I would visit again.
Situated next to the largest cemetary in Atlanta you might expect a dead atmosphere, but you couldnt be more wrong! For whatever reason the current inhabitants of this graveyard ended up there, it sure wasnt the food of this Pub/Restaurant. With a nice variety of seafood it is a welcome change to the more standard Atlanta cuisine of meat and potatos. But even if you dont embrace diversity... you can have your signature coleslaw on the side.
Nice spot with solid drinks. I'll have to get some food next time. The beer list was average but they had a few good options. I tried going again a different night and the wait was pretty long so may be worth calling ahead.
Visited on recommendation. Had the cat fish with chips and Hush Puppies. We also had the Gumbo. Both meals were really nice and the Gumbo was especially fresh. Would go again.
Super yummy seafood with awesome views of Oakland Cemetery. Parking is easy and free. I had the shrimp boil. It was really good and offered generous portions. Service was excellent.
A real fun atmosphere! Great drinks and great fresh food. Would totally go again.
Good food, relaxing atmosphere minimum wait on a Friday afternoon!
Atmosphere was good. Cool.
Food was basic good. Nothing special at all. Definitely not New Orleans style seafood with a great flavors. A place to go when you don't feel like cooking and have had enough chain fast food. I wanted to give it a two, but that wouldn't be fair. The food was not bad, just nothing special at all. Nothing to make me want to come back again. This was my second or third time coming and I remember feeling the same way before. I wasn't the one who chose this restaurant, this time. The staff were nice, The atmosphere was nice and the waitress was very attentive. For me, the food is just plain disappointing.
Since my last visit, 7 years ago, the food was as delicious as it was. The appetizer, seafood quesadilla, was the winner! I tried fried okra and it was surprisingly good. I do not like okra, lol. I will be back.
Very spicy dragon feet. Got milk from kitchen! Great service and coooold beer!
The shrimp po-boy was all right and the onion rings is pretty good but the catfish tacos my wife didn't like, the service was good also
I'll keep this short and sweet. Great food... Good atmosphere... Fast & friendly service. Casual dining experience. Parking lot available. You should go!
Great food. The rooftop dining area is awesome. It's partially covered. We sat up there today and a rainstorm passed over and cooled us off. 4 of us shared the crab cakes and calamari. Both for wonderful, with a nice presentation. Oh, and we were married one hour earlier 😳😁 …
Food was great. Drinks were amazing. Only down side was the lighting. I could barely see the menu. After drinking, I felt like I could go to sleep at the table. Besides that I loved the place!
6 Feet Under is a great "go to" for a late day meal. They have a great selection of dishes like fish tacos, fried green tomatoes, fish and grits and shrimp po' boys. Cold draft beer and premium mixed drinks. Though the seating is plenty, there tends to be plenty more visitors to fill them all so get there as soon as you can. Overall, 6FU is worth the wait and you won't be disappointed.
Absolutely top-notch food. Innovative dishes, good service, and quality ingredients. Plus, a fun local beer selection. And the art in the bathroom is fun!
Waiter Blake was great. Food came out hot and fresh. No wait time, good atmosphere.
Food was ok. Best thing I ate there was the seafood quesadilla. Drinks were good
This place is a classic spot if you're in this part of Atlanta. Stopped in with a few buddies for a brew and an appetizer. They have a great selection of beer, a rooftop patio and bar, and the food was great. Had the Gator Bites... even though Gooooo Dawgs!!! Must check it out if you're in the area.
Delicious food and Victor was an awesome server. I'm definitely going back 😋 …
Brett was an awesome server!!! Friendly and personable. Chicken tenders were amazing.
DMy 1st time there I had a nice time. I ordered the veggie plate and it was Delicious. Turnip greens, sauteed spinach, grilled asparagus and roasted potatoes.
No one was upfront to welcome any customers. Finally someone came to seat me. It was way off in a corner. Asked for a more public accessible seat consider it was a party of 1. Waitress lackluster. Service lackluster. Order the cod godfather sandwich, just to be disappointed with 2 small piece of fish on a bun. Not worth the time.
Excellent shrimp and grits. We are in the top floor outside. Very nice with good weather. Our entire party enjoyed the food. Can't wait to go back. Also the story behind the name is very interesting.
I searched for a place to get mussels while visiting Atlanta and it did NOT disappoint. Very delicious and a bit pricey. The Caesar salad was a nice portion and the Smokey taste of the anchovies reaaaally set it off. But what’s praise w/o critique? I also ordered the crab cakes, which were bite sized - especially for the prices. And since I ordered carry out, I’d like to suggest having a better way to pack the mussels for transport - I lost most of the delicious sauce to the bag on the drive.
Parking was a breeze behind the building but we also got there 5pm on monday evening.
It was really good. We got the chowder and the gumbo. Gumbo was spicy which was my favorite. My daughter and I shared the chowder. The only thing is this place doesnt seem too clean and when the food came out, it was barely warm. We were expecting hot soup coming out with the chilly weather we got in March here when we visit.
Heard about but 1st time visiting. Had a lunch meeting there & definitely worth it; friendly staff, good food & atmosphere. Had the baked white fish, and my colleague's eaten there before, and said she's never been disappointed; and can see why.
Great seafood here. Came here and ate at the bar. The bartenders were really nice and very attentive to everyone at the bar. Their food’s really good and they offer a variety of beer
My family walked in on a sunday at 6:30 and were seated right away. Our server was great and I can honestly say I dont think I've ever gotten my food that quickly. We'll definitely be back!
Always a great atmosphere, the crab legs weren't great though.
The food is always good here & the service is good. I love the theme & location. Great blue point oysters!
Friendly service and excellent seafood “ six feet under steamer” . I’ve had seafood boil in Florida and Illinois (country club hills township). This so far has been the best, simple and absolutely robust in flavor.
Our group had a hamburger, blackened cat fish, shrimp, and the taco combo of 1 catfish, 1 shrimp and 1 chicken. Everything was very good. We enjoyed the atmosphere. It was a great to go after a day at the Atlanta Zoo.
If you’re going to Oakland Cemetery for a tour, you can’t go wrong eating at Six Feet Under. This popular restaurant is located right across the street from Oakland. We had a group of eight & everyone enjoyed their meal. 👍👍. Highly recommend 👍👍 …
Service was horrible. The seafood was not fresh. Over priced and auto gratuity so no one cares if you are happy or not, they still get paid. Ask to speak to a manager, they never came. It was my Dad's bday. He loves the place. My first time...will never go back
The family really enjoyed the food and drinks, especially the Killer Margarita.
Service was awesome, but the kitchen struggled with preparing certain orders correctly! I still would recommend it to everyone I know.
pricey drinks, yet great atmosphere and staff! Little wait time, good food. Try the fish stew or crab legs! My group really loved the gumbo as well.
I love Six Feet Under so much. What's not to like: awesome local beers and fun, locally rustic decor, great fun service, and excellent food. And not only is SFU known for seafood (yummy oysters and chowder are only two examples), tacos, and good drinks, but both the Memorial AND Midtown locations have one of the city's best burgers: consistently tender and delicious every single time, with homemade potato chips.
The Memorial location is a real winner, as you can see why the under-the-sea-focused place also gets its name from the adjacent cemetery with a good view from the top deck.
I'm not going to knock a star off of a review for what never stops being one of my favorite places in Atlanta, but it can be tough to find parking when the place is packed. Circle like sharks in the back lot or the neighborhood and good luck. Highly recommended!
We are from out of town and were pleasantly surprised to find Six feet under. Great food and great service!!! The rooftop area was a really nice atmosphere. Corey was our waiter and he was fantastic and very friendly. We loved the food so much that we will be back during our short trip here. We spoke with management about how great of an experience we had and she was so personable. Loved it here, highly recommend.
I got tacos. The shrimp was very good, but the catfish was not good at all. The service was great though.
Great place for food and meeting friends. The fish and chips were outstanding.
This place is just great. I typically have a rule that I don't eat seafood unless I can see the ocean. BUT, this place is now my exception to that rule. Absolutely some of the best fried oysters, calamari, and shrimp I have ever had. The house Bloody Mary was delicious, and the service could not have been better.
It was my first time going, I enjoyed the food very much. I would definitely go back. I had the calamari and the baked oysters. It was a good choice.
Great service and the food was delicious. I had the catfish platter. It was very good! Full of flavor. If you want to have drinks with friends. I highly recommend! Their drinks were on point. Fun and safe place to enjoy yourself. Will visit again.
Service was excellent. Food seemed a bit overpriced for basic options not well seasoned.
Not worth the cost. Was $50 for two shrimp baskets and 2 sweet tea with chips. The shrimp was small, cool atmosphere but just "so-so" food.
Delicious. Loved the atmosphere and our server/waiter
Good food. Good service. They have fun with the name and neighborhood, being across the street from a cemetery.
I don’t even have words for how amazing this place is. You have to try it if you haven’t. It is our new favorite spot. We have been here 7 times in two months and we love 45 minutes away 😂 it’s our new spot!!! (Try the hush puppies 🤤) …
I use to be the Property Manager at Fulton Cotton Mill Lofts in the early
2000's & visited regularly. Fast forward to 2022 and I was so delighted to find the same environment and GREAT food. Introduced my two twenty something boys to the restaurant.
Great amount of food for the price but well worth it 👌!!! Whitefish was fantastic and the asparagus was cooked just right. Me and wifey will definitely be back
Very good food customer service great its expensive but worth it.
Great food and atmosphere! I had the fish tacos and their famous bloody mary with a shot of Guinness. I highly recommend trying their signature bloody mary!
Still not a fan of eating out inside of restaurants as of yet. I prefer outside dining. But I will take a chance between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. when the crowds are the lightest at most restaurants. Today I want shrimp tacos and this is the place I go to get them. Seating was quick, they have nice high partitions between the booths.
The server was there in no time took my order without even writing it down and repeated it back faithfully.
Had the taco combo of two shrimp and one chicken and a side of spinach that was cooked just right. Stuffed my face as quickly and efficiently as I could and got out of there before the 5:00 crowd started to arrive.
Excellent sports bar, good food, and great beer selection. Conveniently located as well. I would suggest going earlier in the day or getting a reservation, this place tends to be extremely busy. Fun atmosphere though,
As always this place was great, our server Cesar was swift, friendly and a very honest waiter. The catfish and shrimp was a little smaller than usual but was still delicious!!
The staff was extremely accommodating on a busy Sunday (Tunes in the Tombs), finding us a table for 8 in the rooftop. Our waitress was friendly and juggled our multiple orders with ease. The grilled catfish tacos are excellent, if you want to avoided the many fried items on offer.
My wife and I went on a busy Friday night around 7 PM and were able to be seated right away. I highly recommend the fish stew at just under $20. It was incredible
We eat here every time we visit Atlanta. Tonight the food was superb, and the service was phenomenal. Courtney R. was our server and delivered top notch service! We also had the pleasure of speaking with James, the restaurant manager, and enjoyed that conversation as well. Our food had the perfect amount of seasoning and our drinks were delicious! I only wish we had this restaurant in Nashville - we will travel back to ATL and will visit this restaurant again!
Food and service is excellent! Prompt and friendly. Great selection of seafood and drinks. I try to go every time I'm back in town and suggest it to anyone that visits Atlanta.
Great variety of seafood meals and sides. Food is cooked nicely and a not-everything-is-fried kinda of place. Salmon sliders were 👌
Great atmosphere.
Server did not provide great service, our drink order took over 15 minutes to fill, then one of the drinks was wrong, had to find her to get it corrected and then ordered two more drinks, only one was delivered..I informed the server and she made excuses and continued to talk while I was speaking. I have never had a bad experience in this location..I love the food here..however will not have this server..if I do return
We enjoyed our experience. Host greeted us upon entry. Our server Jessica was helpful.
Her insight helped us make our food choices. We were pleased with our meals!
I had a great experience. The staff was amazing. Rooftop seating was great. Came with a larger group and we were able to be seated in great timing. Our server was very attentive and patient with our large group. This a great location in Atlanta for affordable good food and drinks.
My favorite ,Big Tuna...Love it!!! Love it!!!
Wonderful food! If you like okra, the fried whole okra is heaven. Shrimp and grits are decent, I've had better. Catfish is great!
My first time going and it was great! The fried green tomatoes were everything. Would have taken pics of the food but my hand and stomach were too fast😬 the food is delicious will definitely go back
Drinks were on point and food was better than expected. I definitely recommend the buffalo oysters!!
Very nice outdoor patio. The food however is a bit disappointing. I had fish and chips. Two small pieces of fish and lots of fries. Disappointing for a seafood restaurant. Bigger portions would be nice!
Ended here on a whim since Tin Lizzy had an hour waited! They werw busy, but We chatted a waiter outside who told us to come on in. The food and service was amazing. We ordered the gators bites along with fried catfish and blackened shrimp 🌮. We were seated upstairs with a nice view over looking the city. The bartender was attentive and boy that old fashion drink is a 1 and done. 😉 will def come back!
Great food, great price fun atmosphere and bud light & miller light is $3.... great place!
I love their fried catfish platter. The wait time is not the best & they run out of condiments quite often. Take your patience & your own hot sauce, lol 😆 #ItsWorthIt …
The food is always good. This is my go-to casual seafood restaurant. The drinks are good, the killer margarita will get you there. I love the fried oysters
Well if this isn't enough to convince you to eat. What will!! 💓❤️☺️!This Pie needs to be on The Diners, Drive ins,and Dives!!This Pie brings Unity and Smiles to All! A Key lime Delight!! …
One of my most unforgettable day, drinks are lit as well.
The previous reviews are accurate. Decent food. Good service. I see locals really enjoy the restaurant. As a visitor it was a nice one time experience.
My 3rd time here and it still hits the spot! Beer! Food! Sports! Good times!
The service was good, nothing above and beyond, but not bad either. My issue is that the food was extremely bland. No flavor at all. They have seasoning on the table for you that I was able to use, but if I wanted to season my own food I would cook at home. There were 8 of us at the table, with different food items and all of us agreed that the food was just -okay-
I’d honestly never recommend this place to anyone. There are several other great restaurants with flavor in the food in the area.
I had a wonderful server, food was great, it's been over two years since my last visit, nice music. Great crowd, very relaxing!
Alex took care of us today and everything was delicious! I had the grilled chicken salad. I don't even like salads but this was great! The banana bread pudding was incredible too. Alex was the perfect server and did such an amazing job taking care of us and had great advice for dishes and drinks. Thank you so much, Alex!
I met a friend at the Grant Park location on Wednesday, November 3rd at 1pm. My seafood quesadilla was delicious. I usually select it as my meal, though it's on the appetizer menu. My friend ordered shrimp and scallops with spinach and grits as side dishes. He didn't like the shrimp and scallops as it lacked flavor. He had the same comment about the spinach adding that it was basically unseasonably and raw. He send the food back except the grits which he had eaten. He liked my quesadilla and ordered it instead along with a side of fries. He was charged and paid for everything despite sending food back uneaten. I was disappointed in the service as we had to request a refill on our drinks after there were finished for quite some time. Our waitress sat nearby eating at a table during our entire visit. Lastly, she added a 20% service charge to our lunch. Thankfully I prevented my friend from leaving an additional tip. Which was undeserved in the first place.
I didn't realize that SFU added 20% to lunch bills for a party of 2. I was disappointed and will be going elsewhere for a while.
The bride and I visited here yesterday.
She loves the conch fritters.....and they are a nice homogenized characatur of that tropical treat. The rest of the food is just rather plebian occasionally dipping all the way down to I'll never order that again. Ok maybe 2. 7 stars
THAT DOES IT FOR the 2.7 stars.
NOW the BAD.
THE WORST
The DOUBLE TIP
Must happen all the time because the first thing on the web page is a big posting talking about a 20% tip added to any table's bill that exceeds $50.
That is about all the bills for 2 or more people.
And they have a big notice on the menu too. They do
But look in the reviews..... people don't notice all the time... And the wait staff they just smile and take that 43% i you didn't mean to leave..
It is just a scam. And they could fix it all by just changing the language on the merchant copy and say "Additional Tip."
They don't want to change the scam. How can ownership ignore this terrible PR problem? Not someone I want to leave my money with
Shrimp and Grits !! Boom, but ya got to try to "Toes" Bahahahaha, one is a little spicy so have some water !!
A favorable go to! Staple. And that Cucumber Wasabi dressing is 100!!!!!! So. Freaking. Good! Food is typically fresh. Service fast and friendly. Parking - y’all already know! But overall it’s good!
Service was great... food not so much. The shrimp and grits were awful especially those hard pieces of under cooked crunchy asparagus. The tacos my date had lacked love and bland and plain. No real flavor are anything to them. The tiny crab cakes were tasty. The little 4 pieces were as if they took 1 crab cake and divided it into 4 pieces. The bloody Mary was AMAZING it was delicious and the server asked if I wanted a shot of guiness, great suggestion it was unique! The service was good enough to give this place another chance. If nothing else for drinks
Food was good as always! Looks like they have changed their portions but still delicious. Service was good, for a game day Sunday got a table pretty quickly so I was definitely happy about that.
We had a party of 4.The atmosphere was nice. We dined upstairs outside. The waiters were nice and responsive. Food was good.
Fun night for family reunion... But price does not match quantity lol....fried food doesn't take incredible skill + plus portions leave much to be desired
I ordered a big platter or whatever it is called and sent it back. $20 for 3 chicken nuggets- not actual tenders as advertised, 3 which puppies, a sliver of cod, coleslaw, and something else. I sent it right back and didn't take a bite.
- the gator bites are yummy - def recommend
-the hush puppies were so good! Both light and flavorful! (from my sister)
- the meal portions may have turned me away but they had some great sides!
- lol the coleslaw was.... Bitter?????.... That kind of confused me lol but I took it home anyway and it paired quite well with some smoked salmon and biscuits the next day❤️
Fast service, great food and ok prices. We went on a weekday afternoon though, so it wasn't busy. The food was really good! We ate oysters, calamari tacos, shrimp and grits and crab cake sliders. Definitely recommend the BREAD PUDDING!!!!
My go too! Anytime!
Always have great service and food.🤗
My bartender Margaret is the best! And my favorite waitress Yvonne is my girlie. And Jarmar is my other great person there! I good just about every week! 😄😁.
The fried green tomatoes and fish soup was delicious
My dish, blackened catfish, was okay, but others at my table were impressed with their entrees. I will definitely go back ant try other dishes. The staff and atmosphere are great!
Went today for a business lunch and the food and service were great. Employees are practicing proper social distancing. I have the salmon salad with an oyster appetizer and sweet tea. For dessert we had fudge brownie with vanilla ice cream. The brownie was extremely moist and chocolaty. This is a place I would definitely go again.
Came on 7/14/21. Was seated quickly even though she said 30 mins. Waiter got all the food right but my onion rings where on the cold side & my salmon sliders was like room temperature warm. Oh 3 people no alcohol steak etc was 95$
Always love the atmosphere when we go. We went the day before Valentine's Day so we expected a crowd, but the service was speedy they got us seated very quickly. The dinner portions has gotten a lot smaller since the last time we came; nevertheless it tasted wonderful!
Took my moms here for Mothers Day she had a blast. This is my husband and I favorite spot.
Cozy ,down to earth place Come as you are!! Cemetery across the street BUT no Need to fear there's only bones over there**!!!Nice music, drinks, wanna those places that u can make ur home town bar **!!!where everybody knows your name*!!!
Would have gave 5 stars if my server was more attentive to my table like he was with other tables.
Best bar in Atlanta me & my wife live here lol
Excellent food and service. I was pleasantly surprised
My first experience coming to a restaurant I have heard good things about met with a successful match to their reputation. The crab legs on my plate were shared with the scallops from my partner and we had to tease each other as we both really wanted a little bit of everything. When the food is just this good, there's not nearly enough to go around of all the great flavors. I really want to come back with more people so we can share even more with each other and enjoy all the diversity of the food that is just this good.
It was okay. Not my first pick but coworker like the salads. I had catfish basket it was hot and fresh. I wasn't a fan of the oysters but they were okay. The bacon salad was okay I choose a different dressing after I tried the hot bacon it was different and a no lol. Applebees use to have a hot bacon dressing that was amazing this didn't do it for me. Bread pudding pretty yummy. 20% tip for a ticket over 50 which isn't hard to do. They suck for that with just two people at the table. Enjoy your pre tip tip that's all folks.
Great food and service, really cool upstairs area overlooking the cemetery. Definitely a place you should visit.
The food was delicious. The server was fun and friendly. Didn't have to wait long for my food. Great atmosphere for a friends get together or a date night out.
You can only order in person or online, but online orders must be paid with google pay and you must create an account. The wait about 15 min. They dont seem to encourage wearing mask s because many customers waiting including staff were not wearing masks. Parking is not convenient. The atmosphere inside is good; not too loud.
The calamari was okay, nothing exceptional. It was mixed with a bunch of fried red pepper; so you mostly get red peppers for $14. The fried shrimps were okay. The conch fritters were actually pretty good. Crab cakes taste okay. Portions are very small compared to prices. Overall 7/10, and I probably will not be a repeat customer.
Best catfish I've ever had. Best day working I've ever had!
Celebrating my good friends birthday! Service was excellent! Food was delicious! Atmosphere was great!
Great food, fast service, great atmosphere i will be back!!
We actually ate here twice this past weekend. Shrimp and grits were really good on Saturday, I got a veggie plate on Sunday with some salad, corn salad and potatoes. The folks at Siix Feet Under are nice and the view of Oakland Cemetery is amazing.
This was our 1st time here. We wanted a different scene for date night. We had the salmon sliders, they were ok. The Buffalo bites were really good. I had a basket. I didn't really care for the kind of seasoning they used for the seafood. The drink we had(killer margaritas) was bitter and not good at all. My fiance had the cajun salmon it was not dry but had NO taste. The ambiance was nice, but the food was really not. It was a nice date night for us, but we won't be back.
The rooftop was great. Beer was cold, the food not so much. We wanted the shrimp boil but our waitress said that it was the worst thing on the menu. My wife and I got the sample platter with fried okra and onion rings instead. The okra was as tuff as a old boot. The onion rings were all over the place, hard to mushy, Shrimp over cooked. Fish and scallops were good.
Amazing... Came with the wife/baby/friend. Drinks were amazing and food was to die for. Crab legs, mussels, shrimp and scallops. All were amazing. Jalapeno hush puppies were just too good. Tyra was our waitress and she did such an amazing job. Couldn't ask for more from any of the staff. Our first time there but definitely not the last. Tons of love to Tyra, great service
I love the rooftop but I really believe since pandemic food quality has gone down.. I have been here a few times but the food was blah.
Greeted at the door with a friendly smile. Sat immediately in bar area. Great first impression. The high top seats in bar area are uncomfortable, in my opinion. Server was very attentive and got our food to us in no time. The fried Okra is so yummy. Fried to a perfect crisp and well seasoned. The turnip greens were good also. The Scallops and Shrimp wrapped in paper was cooked just right. Good job!!
I genuinely love this place- it's a benchmark Atlanta resturaunt destination. The crabcakes are my favorite. Atmosphere on the bar side is good. The rooftop patio is great. My wife loves their ice cubes with the cucumber pieces. The one on 11th street in Midtown is also great, but this one has Oakland Cemetery next to it, so you can walk off your meal in a really lovely garden atomosphere.
Really good food. One of my "go to" restaurants. Pretty crowded so the service was slower than usual. The bartender had to take our food order
Went to this restaurant for the first time over the Labor Day holiday weekend with a friend visiting from out-of-town after being told about it by an acquaintance. First I must state that our server was extremely nice, very thoughtful, and truly interactive during our visit. He was super attentive, made suggestions and ensured our drinks were frequently filled.
The food was very delicious and the portions were a nice size. Everything seemed properly seasoned. Plus, I was surprised at the reasonable prices on the menu. You definitely get what you pay for.
My only regret is that they don't have a restaurant in North Atlanta or the Marietta area. I will definitely make a return trip. My friend asked about the Six Feet Under while visiting this weekend. If only the drive weren't so long to get to it. I would love some fried catfish. Treat yourself to a nice down home and friendly Southern seafood spot with great prices.
Awesome food great and fun staff. Amazing experience
Got the combo platter. Cod oysters and shrimp. Really good. Also enjoyed the Conch Fritters for appetizer. Filthy Martini was my drink of choice...awesome.
