Greeted as soon as I came thru the door.... I like that. Once she finished up with the other customers, she helped my hubby and I decide what would be best to try first since we're newbies. I ordered the Catfish Nuggets and Sweet Corn Nuggets. My hubby had the Catfish Fillets and the Nuggets and Chicken Wings. EVERYTHING was cooked fresh and EVERYTHING was good. I am very happy that we decided to give them a try. If you love fried food, then you really need to come here. They specialize in fried food.... from fried Mac n Cheese Bites to Belgian Sweet Waffles, so many things to try. We will definitely be back soon. There's plenty of parking and plenty of indoor seating. On a busy intersection in Mableton.

We’ve been wanting to try JGs for years. The experience of ordering out was great. Super friendly staff, food cooked fresh to order. But the food was a little bit of a let down, especially their chicken fingers. I would not recommend. They’re like large chicken nuggets, not actual crispy fingers. The fish & whole wings were decent, and the fries lacked any flavor and were cooked prob in the same grease as hush puppies and fish. The hush puppies were the best thing we ordered. Not sure if we would recommend or go back, but again, the people were nice.

The food is always good, especially the fried chicken dinners. Si, the woman who works behind the register gives the best customer service and will make sure you are taken care of when it comes to your food be prepared properly in a timely manner. And they are always on time when it comes to the party size meals. Highly recommend, I come here all the time literally.

Great location!! Fish and shrimp is delicious. Their Chicken wings are marinated to the bone. Coleslaw is delicious. The owner is so sweet and kind. We really enjoyed our meal and look forward in coming back. This is a great spot.

Parking lot/exterior of premises was well maintained. Interior/lobby was clean, and tastefully decorated. My order of 3-Whole catfish tasted fair -cooked thru & thru. NO raw meat. Size of the catfish was adequate. Cole slaw was too runny. Not a lot choices for healthy side items (ALL side items are fried except the coleslaw). Pricing was adequate. Female cashier (possibly the proprietor) is very humorous, and seasoned with a side of BOWEN HOMES. Will revisit again when I'm in the area.

The first time I went to this restaurant I ordered 5 pieces of fish how was given a great number of fries. On my second visit, I was only afford it as many fries as you did at the benefit in Captain D's. One of the reasons I went back to this restaurant was because of the number of french fries I received on my first visit.

My first time at JG Chicken and Seafood and the customer service was absolutely amazing. Zee was so sweet and accommodating when out of fries willing to do a substitute. Ask for Zee she is all of that n more! Oh wait and the cook Anthony was on point. My moms gizzard were deelish, she didn't want to share but I managed to sneak one. Please check them out blue building can't missed them the cornered of Floyd Rd and Veterans Memorial Hwy. Okay that's ALL for now.

I had the 2 piece Whiting and 3 wing combo. It was so delicious that I went back and ordered a 30 piece whole wings. Whatever is in that special seasoning is highly addictive and habit forming. Going to try the fried green tomatoes next time. Also have to see what lemonade flavor goes best with it.

We were headed to Captain Ds. Then we though we would give this place a shot. The food was good. Service was good. It was hot inside, i think the cooking area shoud be clean. Wasnt very clean in the cooking area. Ive seen restaurants with open cooking areas, like McDonalds for instance. The area can still be clean. This wasnt. Photos attached. But it didnt stink and the food was good and affordable.

I ordered at the wrong location and was told there are no re funds if the food is already made, Si made it a priority to HAND DELIVER the food to my job because I work hospital hours and may not give off work on time, I've never had anyone care that much at a job to make sure a customer was satisfied with their experience, she needs a RAISE PROMOTION STOCK IN THE COMPANY, SOMETHING!, she def went over and beyond to make sure I am a returning customer, I'll only return because of her and her only, [btw the food was good too :) ]

Food was good. Had whiting fish the first time. Good but the bones threw me off. Then we tried the chicken. Very good. If I go back, it will be for the chiken. Here's the menu. Enjoy. No drive thru but you can drive-up to pick-up your call in order.

A lot has changed since they first opened, not for the better. They say the meal comes with coleslaw and bread, when I checked my bag it didn't have the coleslaw, and they were apprehensive to compensate me for it. When I got home there was no bread. Give people what they pay for. Period.

Service was fast and friendly BUT, I really wanted Catfish. This was probably the 4th restaurant (two different states) that tried to pass off Swai as Catfish; they are not the same. Why not simply add Swai to the menu and reduce the cost by a few bucks? Catfish not only has a distinct taste, but it looks totally different inside and out. I ended up having the fake Catfish replaced with Whiting which was really good. It wasn't that the Swai was bad tasting, it's just that I wanted Catfish, not Swai.

My husband and I have been holding out going here..he calls it the side piece spot..lol! But we had time for a quick date before the kids came home and I must say the food was great! We both had Whiting dinners, fries, Cole slaw and bread. For me the fish was perfectly seasoned and a great little crisp and the fries were perfect. The cole slaw wasn't too good. The texture was perfect not runny at all but when I say zero flavor..I mean none. A nice bonus was my Cheerwine cola🙌🙌 the staff was very nice, the venue was nice and roomy. Gives you s neighborhood feel. I'll definitely be back. I think a good addition would be some music or a couple flat screens. The Jackson's will back for sure.

Awesome and affordable place to eat seafood because the Captain D's next door could not even let anyone in after they advertise that there dining room was open ! Very sad because I went to go into the Captain D's and they go away and use the drive thru if you feel like it !!!!! How rude !!!!!!

The portion size and the flavor of everything was AMAZING!!! My first time eating here, did a pickup order. When I got there it was hot and fresh, and stayed hot even when I got home 20 minutes later. Greatly priced for the quality of food. I am entirely amazed by everything we ate tonight. I think I found my new favorite spot!! Wings, tenders, fries, even the key lime pie… So good I ate myself too full! 🤣

I went in today for lunch. Order was placed at 2:04p & our number was called at 2:20p. We arrived shortly before the big lunch rush (it was 1 person in front of us & within 10 mins it was 11 people in line). We ordered the seafood combo -Pick 2 (3 pcs Perch & 4 Jumbo shrimp) for $10.89 & we also ordered the Colossal Combo (3pc wings & Big popcorn shrimp) for $10.49. We got home and Everything was cooked perfectly. The perch could have used a little more seasoning but overall was good. The fries were crispy. Coleslaw seemed store-bought (I didn't care for it) & didn't include a fork. Unfortunately we noticed that the "Big Popcorn Shrimp" & the "Jumbo Shrimp" were the exact same shrimp. There was no POPCORN about our shrimp that still has tails on them & they were more like medium shrimp. My other order of shrimp was more Large than JUMBO. That was pretty disappointing and misleading. I hate off-brand ketchup so we opted to use our HEINZ at home. They did not offer tarter sauce. Overall I would go back as it appeared clean and the manager (Jacob??) was helpful.

Went to watch a game at a friends house and someone brought wings from here to the watch party. Found out the restaurant is 5 mins from my house. Stopped in and got the wings the following week. Were just as good as when I had them at the party. Cooked to order so be prepared to wait about 10 minutes for your food.

My bonus son raved about this place and visits frequently, so I decided to try for myself after tasting his leftovers. I must preface this by saying, I give 5 stars based on the food taste and quality, hands down!! However, I have to take service and order accuracy into consideration. I placed the order online a little over an hour before the scheduled pick up time. I had to wait a few mins for the order because it wasn't quite ready, which was fine. The young lady was nice and personable (not the most professional though). I did my best to check everything but it was packed in bags pretty tightly. I figured the order was placed online so they should be able to fulfill it successfully and they didn't seem too busy that day. My issue was that they forgot some of my food, possibly because the employee seemed a little distracted. (In their defense, I did order a lot of items.) This location is at an extremely busy intersection/area so it would have taken me too long to turn around and go back. I tried to call but the line stayed busy. Once I got home, I was very pleased with the food so I will be a repeat customer! If you are looking for good fried food, this is a place to visit!! (Just make sure you check your order really well!!) FYI...I ordered catfish nuggets, whole wings w/fried green tomatoes (not recommended), & shrimp (fries too). The batter was perfectly light and seasoned; I can do without "pixie dust" they sprinkle on everything though. 😋

I've driven past this place multiple times but was scared to try it. My daughter tried it and raved about it, so I wanted to try. The best fried perch fish I've had in a long time! Not sure if there are new owners but my observations left me skeptical before I even ordered but I ordered anyway. Food was okay. Not as good as is the past. The Ocean Perch meal used to have whole pieces of fish not it looks like they cut one piece of fish three ways which for a grown man was more akin to large nuggets. Also the person serving...he went to clean the eat in area which is fine but clearly people had been at the tables because stuff was scattered...he picked up plasticware and unused napkins and condiments from random tables and then proceeded to place them back in the items to give to other customers (that's nasty...especially during covid especially unused napkins just sitting on tables that were clearly not cleaned...he never even wiped them down) then he pushed items down in the trash can and proceeded back to work the register handle money etc. My food came up and I had to say to him that I needed him to wash his hands before he touched my food and reminded him you just dug in the trash can. (This is why I don't go sit in my car...nope I stand and watch) double nasty...I am sure they will be just fine but I won't be going back anytime soon... Oh and they are mainly fish and have no tartar sauce. I understand there is a shortage of some items but have a sign clearly posting that or find a recipe and make your own...or let people know up front not when they ask when getting their food. Just my thoughts. Wish them well but definitely some cleanliness to work on.

This place it outstanding!! We ordered $150 worth of fish and wings through grub hub. We were in town visiting and needed enough food for the house. This place delivered. The lemon pepper wings are phenomenal. The fish was so crispy and golden bjt still fell apart. The food came hot, fresh, and packed with all of the sides.

I love this place!!! I have had almost everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. My favorites are the Swai, Whole chicken wings & the catfish.

Every single visit has been mostly the same. They take a year or so to prepare the food if there's multiple customers ordering, so don't try to order on your little 30-minute lunch break unless you do it online about an hour earlier. We always go with the 10-piece wings/fries/bread combo for $10.99. The chicken is always seasoned the same way (unless you ask for NO seasoning). It's fried to perfection- golden each time! The wings used to be HUGE. Recently, about 3 days ago, I went and saw that the wings are much smaller now. Little bit bummed, but they were still an okay size. The fries are yummy, not soggy- always crispy. You receive 2 slices of toasted white bread. Substitutions cost a couple dollars more, I believe. I've only had one visit where the chicken lacked flavor and it's probably because of the unfamiliar face I saw frying chicken that day. The key lime pie was pretty standard the one time I decided to get pie. It's probably made and packaged somewhere else and thawed here, no big deal. It was good, though. I've yet to taste the fresh lemonade, but I've read great things. It's fried food, not healthy food- a nice treat. 5 stars!

First time coming here and babe...the food is banging! I ordered the three piece whitening with four piece shrimp and a side of hush puppies. So delicious! The hush puppies have corn inside. Really good! Anybody that knows me, know I love lemonade. This have to be the best lemonade I ever had hands down. Will be back if I'm in the area and in the mood for fried foods.

I love this place! This is my go to spot when I want good friend shrimp and fish (whiting for me.) You are able to easily order online and set your pickup time. They have a drive through for pickup only if you don't want to go inside. The prices are very reasonable for the portion size. I recommend this restaurant.

I love food and will try any place out. I love I can call in my order and be specific about how many pieces I want. I love the whitings, jumbo shrimp and fried chicken. I barely eat fried foods nor will fry at home so when I get that craving I drive 30 min to get my fixing.

So my boyfriend and I tried this joint for the first time tonight. I'm a huge chicken person and I've been getting into fish bit by bit since I started dating a Miami-born guy. This. Place. Has. A++++++++ product. They were sold out of tenders, so I had the two piece flounder meal and added a side of fried Mac and cheese and nothing, I say NOTHING failed to complement the meal. The price of the meals easily rivals that of your major fast food joint, which is to say it's affordable, and the taste is great. Everything is cooked fresh, so there will be an inconsequential wait for your food that is totally worth it. I can't wait to try the chicken! Come support this local business! Your taste buds will thank you.

fries are ok, chicken was overcooked, and that SHRIMP holy cow... that shrimp was saltier than the ocean itself... Tastes like they took the shrimp right out of the ocean then fried it. Little hole in the wall place. Was going to go to Bay Breeze, they were closed. Drove a little further and saw this place. Glad I stopped. No atmosphere, used to be a Taco Bell I think. But the fish was great and really good cole slaw. My son loved his shrimp and wings. Price was good too. We will definitely go back for more!

I just moved to town and I searched Google for this place and decided to try it with my fiance.The customer service was outstanding!nI was able to ask questions and get the best recommendations possible...I was so pleased that I had to take a minute to make the manager aware of how happy I was with the whole experience. I didn't even get my food but based on the customer service alone I was happy. When I got home, my fiance and I immediately tried the food which was still hot by the way and my bag was filled with condiments and everything I needed to have a good meal because I placed a to go order. I ordered catfish, wings and coleslaw with corn nuggets and sweet potato pie... and let me just say not only was I surprised...I was speechless! IT WAS PHENOMENAL! EVERYTHING..EVERY LAST BIT OF IT WAS GOOD! my fiance was upset because he ate before he took me there so he just tried it and was so hurt when I said I didn't have anymore, I said but sweetheart you weren't hungry so I just ordered you 3 wings in case.. he said I want more catfish though and by the way I ATE YOUR PIE! Ordered the Big Popcorn Shrimp combo and the 3 Wings 2 Pieces Whiting combo last night. The sides were fries, Cole slaw, and fried green tomatoes with an "appetizer" of fried mac bites. Everything was delicious. The fried green tomato breading was a little thicker than I like it but the taste was on point. Their wings are always amazing. A++

I got 2pc whiting and 3 wing combo. I give it 3 stars because 1. I asked for everything crispy and it wasn’t crispy at all. I did like the batter and the lemon pepper seasoning however they put a lot of seasoning on the food. perhaps light seasoning is what I should’ve asked for. 2. There was a piece of paper taped on the glass stating that coleslaw could be substituted for anything, but when I asked to substitute the coleslaw on my meal I was told that I couldn’t which was confusing, and the coleslaw was ok but a bit on the dry side. I would give it 5 stars if the food was crispy and not soggy like I requested, the seasoning wasn’t so overwhelming and the sign wasn’t up saying you can substitute coleslaw for anything if you actually can’t.

Ate here tonight with my family and as my 8 year old said "this food is finger lickin good". We tried the wings and two different types of fish (whiting and perch). Everything was fresh and well cooked. They have really good fries too. We will def be back. It would be nice if they had a menu on their drive through board (we had to go in to order) but maybe it is just for pick ups, I dunno, but it looked like a drive through lol.. They have a great selection and good prices. Try it!

Today was my time trying out this restaurant. Everyone was pleasant...but. The young lady who took my have order must misunderstood what I said. I asked for a 5 PC perch dinner w/o slaw and to substitute fries for the slaw. She said yes that was fine. I didn't get what I ordered. I was charged for a 3 pc perch dinner and was told once my order was ready that I couldn't sub fries for the slaw. The owner was very gracious and gave me the extra fries anyways.😊 The only thing I didn't like was the fried green tomatoes. I'm a seafood lover so I'll go back to try some the other items on the menu.

I need about 20 more stars for this place!! It was our first time there and let me tell you what.... it definitely will not be our last!! We had the fried chicken liver dinner. It was delicious!! The livers were huge and cooked perfectly!! The best I've ever had. The cole slaw and French fries were just as good. The price was very reasonable and you will get plenty to eat. This is a must!! Our next trip is for their oysters!!

We've ate here before, strictly from ubereats, and it was good but with so many other options in the area we weren't rushing to go back. Tonight on a whim we decided to order when we saw a deal for bogo fried shrimp, which we didn't get last time. This is literally so good I had to immediately leave a review. We're definitely gonna be ordering again and again in the future. The lemon seasoning on the shrimp and fries is such a nice touch omg.

Saturday Evening was my mom's and I first time eating at this location and I ❤️'d it❣️ We ordered two orders of the whole Catfish combo's with a case soda as well as a order of fried green tomatoes. But my moma didn't care for them and the only reason that I ate one because it tasted like a crab cake. But we won't be ordering fried green tomatoes again from here. They have some many different combos you never have to choose between fish or chicken b/c you can get both, very big servings.... and now they have catfish nuggets. This restaurant only cooks fried foods. Period. But their food is delicious! I have had only one item at least 10x. I like it that much....the combo plate consisting of 3 pieces of whiting and 4 jumbo shrimp. This dinner comes with seasoned fries.,coleslaw and bread slices. I must top the meal off with their freshly squeezed lemonade...dang! Their lemonade reminds me of when I was a kid. Reminds me of the lemon ice on the boardwalk!. Swanand cooks it to perfection every time! Just as I like it, GOLDEN BROWN! I go there at least 3-4 times a week to have my liver, so that in and of itself should let you know how awesome their food is.I've also had their catfish and corn nuggets and it is just as delicious. This place is amazing!!! There isn’t anything on the menu that doesn’t make my mouth water. I refer to it as the devil place with the good food because that’s exactly what it is. Not only do I not mind burning a hole in my pocket for this place I also don’t mind stuffing my face and cheating on my diets. I stay in Duluth but I have family that live in mableton and every time I come out here to visit I hit this place up. Definitely a hidden gem. It reminds me of a place I love to go to back home in Chicago and it makes my taste buds holler. They’ll have a customer in me as long as they’re here.

I Iike the mableton location better than the Austell rd one because everything I order is always fresh and cooked well. I've been served overcooked hard dried out fish several times from the Austell location but I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. It’s pretty good. But I would always pre order your food. The one time I did it took me nearly 45 min. First I waited in the drive thru for 20 minutes and then gave up and went inside and waited for another 25 minutes. I was really frustrated and the staff wasn’t apologetic but I get it, everything is made to order but they werent that busy that night... but oh well. If you can get pass that the food is pretty decent but I wouldn’t go often.

Hit the Spot! I had Swai/Waffles and my son had Chicken Tenders...The Fries were the best tasted...Crispy and Fish Fried just Right! This will be my go-to place for Fried Fish/Chicken; Waffles.
