I have order from here numerous of times and haven't been disappointed. I ordered the oxtails which is always one of my go to's. It was delicious, flavors are always spot on. The only reason, why I had to give it four stars instead of five, was because my two plantains were missing as well as the food was extremely cold. It is a different temperature from the time frame when the delivery driver pick it up and drop it off; which that time window was less then 30 minutes, versus food that have been sitting on a line for a while. Enjoyable once I reheated it.

Pass by all the time and one of the few jamrocks that I smell the grill so I’m happy my husband brought me a plate to try. Really enjoyed the curry chicken, moist and tender. Wasn’t sure if it was drumettes or regular drum sticks, nevertheless good portion and plantain was good as well. Would come back and try something else

This is the best jerk I’ve had in Atlanta thus far! Mainly b/c they actually put their meat on the grill & you can truly taste the grilled flavor that makes jerk chicken pop! In general, I’m not a big fan of Jamaican rice (just personal preference), but something about their curry gravy over the rice, is insane and I can’t stop eating it! Give them a try..you won’t regret it!

I got the curry chicken w/ rice & peas and plantain. Listen, curry chicken is normally preferred with white rice, but this was sooo good.. and the portion of the food is great! Definitely recommend.!

It was packed to the door. I had no problem, because that tells me that the food is worth the wait. I had the curry goat and I couldn't put my fork down!! The rice & peas are soooo good. It was cooked perfectly. Cabbage was also yummy. My plate was so full it could barely close! I'm only giving it four stars, because they were out of plantain. It was supposed to be included in our combo and the price was still the same without it. Nonetheless I will be back.

I love supporting US especially when the experience is good. I went here 2x and ordered 4 meals. Not once did they tell me they were out of plantain and still charged me full price. Check your order before you order. Otherwise, the food is solid.

The oxtail, curry goat, sorrel, and rum cake are delicious and plentiful. I love the music that greets you upon arrival. The staff is kind and welcoming. I've enjoyed my many visits.

This definitely not organic Jamaican food that your family cook in the kitchen that u may be use to. We had the curry shrimp. Rice was hard n needed to be stem softer. Overall it was ok. But if looking for real Jamaican food this ain’t it. Im not sure why these Caribbean get commercialized when open restaurant.

The food was delicious. I ordered the jerk chicken with rice and peas, plantains and cabbage. They have a sizable patio out front for you to dine in. They also had a photo wall with faux grass and neon lights set up on the patio just in case you want to take selfies. The smell coming from the grill is what made us stop, it was heavenly! I'm glad the food did not disappoint. I will be back and will try a pattie or two and hopefully cocoa bread if they have it.

The folks behind the counter are really sweet and the food is great. We got jerk chicken rice with oxtail gravy, cabbage, coco bread and a chicken meat pie. The chicken meat pie was a little bland but they give you lots of amazing jerk sauce. The jerk chicken reminds me of my dad making chicken when I was a kid.

This place is located in the ghetto part of Atlanta. BUT if you want authentic Jamaican food, this is the place to go! I've had almost everything in their menu over the last few years. Everything is amazing and everything is my favorite! Jerk chicken is to die for! Oh and also their beef patties! Yum! The staff too is super friendly! This is a must visit place in my opinion. I highly recommend this place!

🇯🇲 I TOTALLY enjoyed the food, a little disappointed they didn't have my Jamaican soda, black cake, or coco bread..🤔but totally satisfied with the service and the food was off the chain. I had the curry chicken, with rice and peas and cabbage, but hold on i'm not done!😜 I got a side of curry goat and curry lamb and a spicy Jamaican patty. needless to say I'm full to the gills! I had been looking for a jerk chicken place someone suggested Jamrock. Place is ok. Food was good. Not spicy like I am used to with jerk. Jerk sauce tasted sweet and was a little thick. You get a good amount of food for the price. Cabbage was good no seasoning or flavor though. Not a bad place but not a place I'd just have to have or a place I'd make my go to jerk place.

I just had the large curry goat, with white rice , & cabbage . I also had a jerk chicken meat only . When I tell y’all they got some good food , this place has moved up to one of my all time favorites . The jerk was the best I had . The curry goat was to die for . I will definitely be coming back here .

Sooooo...Upon walking n2 this Wonderful seemingly 'Black Owned' restaurant I was greeted by (unknown) no eye contact but hey... she's young 🤷🏾‍♀️ what do we GenX folks expect these days right? With me (in my arms) was my lil cutie-patutie Service 🐕‍🦺 FurBaby Naomi when (unknown) glanced up to look me over, she saw Naomi & immediately said, "dogs aren't allowed n-side" ... well 😏 I explained to her that Naomi services me! I have her credentials (unknown) have me this face🤨 turned around and walked N2 the kitchen. Now this was when you're 🌟 Fantabulous employee 🧚🏾‍♀️Jakeviah 🌟 saved me from starvation! She took my order, asked me not to hold her while standing at the sneezgaurd, smiled while doing so, was fast but never rushed, which kept me calm ... paid for my food and that was that! As a Jamaican, this is my go-to restaurant when I’m craving jerk chicken, oxtails, or curry goat. The jerk is well seasoned and grill to perfection. Never dry. You don’t even need jerk sauce. It’s just that good. My favorite part about this restaurant is that they give you cabbage, plantain, and rice and peas unlike other places that’s only give 2 out of the 3.

It’s okay. It did what it needed to. But the jerk chicken tasted more like basic grilled chicken. The brown stew gravy was uneventful so I imagine the brown stew chicken was as well. The plantains were also dry and hard.

Phenomenal. Perfect amount of heat... the flavor is absolutely addictive. Shockingly low priced for the portion size and the service is friendly and will happily answer any questions you have. Curry chicken had thr perfect heat, brown stew was hearty and just the right consistency to the gravy. I think my only problem was picking between sides!

The food is decent, as my most recent visit was my 3rd. However, I will no longer be ordering delivery or personally picking it up from this establishment. I ordered pickup through Uber Eats, but did not see that it was canceled until I got there. Of course, that's my fault. I walk in, closing procedures are going. I inform the woman at the register what happened. Thinking that there was nothing left, I turn to leave. The people after me were served, which caused me to question the same attendant. She says to me that I should have told her I wanted to order, and that she would not be the one to say something. My issue: She knew what happened, knew that I was trying to buy food, but literally opted not to make the sale. I just really don't understand that whole concept. You're in business to sell the food. One simple question, rather than blowing off a returning (although admittedly not constant) customer, would have made this a nice experience.

Mac and cheese was bland and dry. It didn't taste like it was made with real cheese. White rice was slightly over cooked. Chicken curry was decent. The brown chicken stew was delicious. The cabbage was also bland. The restaurant is small but clean. It is very warm inside though, they need to invest in a working/better AC or fans. They also need to post big enough menus with prices for customers. I will give them another chance sometime in the future.

My first time going after hearing about their food for years. My first impression was that the staff was Not hospitable At All. I had my mouth set for some Red Snapper Brown Stewed.... it was okay. I've had better. However, Ill be back to try other things on the menu because they did have a long line and plenty of other things to choose from. Best Jamaican food in the city. Jerk chicken is excellent, so is the curry chicken. Small plate is a meal, large is big enough for two meals. Most plates are served with rice and peas, and cabbage. The of tail gravy is yummy, and so is the Mac and cheese.

Omg their food is AMAZING! I'm so glad I discovered this place because I was traveling 30 minutes out to two different restaurants just to get oxtails and jerk chicken that actually tastes good. I finally decided I didn't want to travel so far one day so I ended up coming to this place to try it out and I'm glad I did. It's less than 10 minutes away from me and the food is off the chain. I highly recommend this place. I really enjoy their oxtails and jerk chicken plate. It is definitely worth it

My first time was 9/24. I order the large white with cabbage and rice with curry stew gravy on top. OMG! The food was plentiful, delicious and well seasoned. The meat was very tender. I returned 9/25...LOL! I got the same but double cabbage being that I had rice leftover from the previous night. Very filling and you will sleep like a baby. Hands down a must try and my added favorite. I couldn't take a picture because by the time I thought of it I was elbows deep, sorry.

Very good jerk chicken here, pretty spicy too! It's not really cheap--its sorta like BBQ where it costs a bit but you get lots of good food that's made with care. They have nice side options too, so i would definitely recommend trying this place if you're interested in Jamaican food!

Stopped through on a whim, (Note to self: Never go against your whims.), and I have zero regrets. The curry chicken is delicious, even the small plate is a healthy portion. Now the beef pattie was slightly skimpy on beef, but packed with flavor (pros and cons to everything). As a whole, great food, REALLY reasonable price and I will absolutely be back.

Their sauce isn't really jerk... It's more like spicy BBQ. Cabbage tasted more like traditional southern cooked than Jamacian/Caribbean. The homemade pineapple ginger juice was delicious. The food was alright, but definitely not what I was expecting. More of a southern BBQ joint with West Indian.

I have been quite a few times to this restaurant. I absolutely love the Jerk chicken, yellow rice w/ cabbage, that's my usual go-to meal! The location is also close by Atlanta Metro-Technical college which is convenient. They always have jammin' reggae/dancehall music playing upon entry! The service I've received was always kind/attentive/enthusiastic. The price of my meal was reasonable as well! :)

It took me almost 2 years to finally eat at this spot, the neighborhood was really bad and uninviting. I worked in the area so I would pass by there and smell the food cooking on the grill. At the time I had a couple spots that were really up to par on my food scale but I decided to try this place a 10 days ago and I was pleased with the service and the fact that my jerk was all white meat fresh off the grill so for that reason I will go back.

The best Jamaican food in the Area!! The curry and jerk chicken is amazing tender and fresh off the grill. You can see the pit in the back smokin! The coco bread is huge fresh and soft and baked daily with a very nice and sweet taste! Portion size is great. You definitely can’t eat it all in one sitting! The plantains are soo sweet and golden! They just began adding veggies to the cabbage however the cabbage is still really good. I prefer without the added veggies. The rice and peas (red beans) alone will get you so full. Ask for the curry or jerk sauce to be placed on rice and peas! It makes the rice even more deluctable! The price is excellent compared to how much food you get! That to go plate will not have a inch of space left! They are kind people with great service and have a great carribbean atmosphere. My only con is that the parking is very minimal do to the location. However I’m sure once the restaurant expands that will not be a issue! The most important thing is the food, service, and price! All three of those are excellent!

This small unassuming restaurant on Metropolitan Blvd is easy to over look when driving in a hurry, but the plumes of smoke from Jerked chicken being grilled drifting on to the Blvd will certainly catch your attention and whet your appetite no matter how quickly you are driving. And when it does, you must stop in and delight in authentic Jamaican cuisine. All of the basic home cooked staples of a proper Jamaican kitchen are found here and always fresh and plentiful. However, the parking is limited and can be challenging during peak periods such as lunch. But don't let that discourage you, it is well worth the effort to seek a parking space.

Go for the oxtails; stay for the jerk, brown stew chicken and the patties! You can't go wrong with ANY selection here; I go just for the peas and rice, cabbage and plantains! Tender and not overcooked; you don't need condiments or seasonings on ANYTHING. This is not the same as the Jamrock restaurants; be sure to hit this spot close to the corner of Metropolitan Pkwy. and University Ave. in SW Atlanta; it's the best!

Would've rated four stars, however, they have terrible customer service. Upon ordering my meal (curry goat and cabbage), I was told that plantains and rice came with the meal. I wouldn't have paid the amount that was being asked if it hadn't. Upon arrival, I noticed that no plantains were included in my meal. When I called the delivery person back and informed him of this, he said that he would get in touch with the restaurant to verify. An hour went by and I still hadn't received a call from him nor the restaurant. I called them, and they said they were distracted, and forgot to put them on the plate. They refused to bring the plantains to me, yet I PAID FOR THE MEAL. They told me that they hope I wasn't discouraged...Pause, so I'm discouraged because of their unprofessionalism?? This place is a joke. NEVER again.

It's not clear how you order so I guessed. I got a large combo with a drink and it was almost $20, so, pretty pricey. Food was delicious though, and plentiful. Music was loud as hell on a Saturday.

Great jerk chicken, right off the grill. First time I had jerk chicken was on vacation in Jamaica. I guy was on the side of the road cooking chicken. I can't eat jerk chicken any other way. It has to be cooked on a BBQ grill.
