Wanted to get a crawfish sandwich but the only option is fried poboy. Will have to keep looking. But definitely stop by Crawfish Shack and try it out if you like seafood. Out side seating - spaced picnic table and plenty of inside seating. The Crawfish are great just like they came from louisiana. They are boiled in the spice rather than thrown in a bag just like a place in Baton Rouge, LA called Crawfish Time (Drive Thru). Good Cajun crawfish!!!

This joint B- Greetings okay. Food hot/ taste great and portions slightly average. They are probably $6.00 higher than most competitors. Food can be pricey due to weight and demand on selected items. Average spend $25.00. Recommended to order ur catch inadvance. Improvement needed. Sanitary problems exit from interior dinning room. Menus are filthy and unsanitary. Floor very sticky along w/ the table and chairs. They offer no apron or coverings to pop and crack those crabs. Restroom clean but sit too close to dining. Possible security concerns at night. Parking can become very inconvenient. Wheelchair accessibility.

I’ve never eaten here before, and when I saw it on GrubHub I wanted to give it a try. I ordered the Whole Andouille Sausage Po’ Boy with a side of Mac & Cheese Poppers (substitute for an additional charge) and a 20oz Coke. Order arrived before original ETA, complete and packaged well for delivery. The sausage was cooked perfectly, the roll was toasted very well, with a slight crisp on the outside, yet fresh and chewy on the inside. Lettuce, tomato and pickle topped it off well. Very tasty sandwich indeed. I’ve actually never eaten Mac & Cheese Poppers before. Didn’t realize what I was missing. These poppers (5 of them), were fantastic. Overall I was really impressed with everything. I normally don’t read the restaurant reviews until I’ve tried the food so I can be unbiased going in, and I was quite happy with my experience. That was delicious and I’d have no qualms about ordering it again.

My fried shrimp was delicious. Cajun corn is seriously hot. The fried crawfish had more breading than I'm used to at other places and was overly fried. Cajun corn was too spicy for me to even try to eat. Be prepared that the fried pickles are spears. I like innovation but it didn't work well here - they lost the pickle flavor. I actually thought they were fried green beans instead. {See photo} I think my mistake was in ordering fried food instead of boiled, and getting take out instead of dining in. Seems like a fun place to come with family. Last comment - noticed after I ordered that their sanitation grade is an 81. I'm not sure why but I find that worrisome, especially with seafood. I still ate my meal and didn't get sick.

The food here is pretty good. It’s little bit on the expensive side but you get enough quantity. This time I tried the fried crawfish instead of the Cajun boiled. It was good but not as good as the Cajun boiled. Highly recommend that. The fried shrimp and tilapia was really good. The fries were crispy but lacked seasoning or salt.

The best Shrimp Po Boy! I like to go after the lunch rush. Reminds me of a Gulf Coast Seafood Shack. The food comes out hot. My Fried Okra stayed hot throughout the meal, and I could feel the heat on my tongue with each bite.

WORTH IT ALL! This is not fast food. I grew up eating crawfish boils and this was the best I’ve ever had. Nothing disappointed. All the seafood is fresh and cooked to order. They don’t cut corners and it makes a difference. We will go out of our way on road trips to visit again.

Cashier didn’t notice I was there for several minutes, and when she did finally notice she was not very friendly. The tables were not clean and sticky. The poboy I ordered was pretty good though, but a lot spicier than I expected. Small portions- I did order a half sandwich, but I was disappointed in the amount of meat on the sandwich.

I came here today just before closing and Jessica was amazing!! She answered questions and was extremely helpful. She even let me and my son sit in to eat although they were closing (I asked if we could sit at the picnic tables outside). Food was excellent and fresh! Definitely will be back

Crawfish Shack is our go-to stop for a seafood combo. Their Meal #2 fried jumbo shrimp and hushpuppies is the best. I also love their sides. We always get the fried okra, potato salad, red potatoes, and broccoli. Cooked to order, so it is always hot out of the fryer.

One of the best seafood spots in Atlanta! Been going here for 8+ years and never had a bad experience. Awesome flavor & laidback atmosphere. No need to dress up for this seafood, it's all hands on! I ordered by phone and picked up to demolish at home. Pics are the SHACK-TASTIC PLATTER FOR ONE = $30. They offer it cajun boiled or steamed. I always go for cajun boiled.... delicious!

The location was really sticky on the floors and tables. Some of the sauces on the table were discolored. All things aside, the special garlic sweet sauce was good but pretty overpriced for the no-frills experience and quantity.

The Crawfish are great just like they came from louisiana. They are boiled in the spice rather than thrown in a bag with spice after boiling like most places are doing these days. Highly recommended. Had a bit of Korean spice on it but wasn't too much. Good Cajun crawfish!!!

I like!!! Decided to stop by for a quick lunch, and the Crawfish Shack did not disappoint us at all. It was my first visit.... business was slow for at Saturday so we got in and out in a breeze, masks are required inside, so we order and seated ourselves outside. I order the shrimp platter, came with 2 sides and 10 piece shrimp, I ordered mine fried... it also came with hushpuppies. The food was good! Hot & fresh, but the beverage came separate. I would recommend this place if you are looking for fresh seafood.

Excellent food every time. Great service. Food is always fresh and so so tasty. All staff is very personable EVERY TIME. They take service to a whole new level & I mean it. Today, I ordered food to go over the phone and ended up picking up like an hour later. The guy working there, maybe he is an owner I don't know, to my surprise when I was getting ready to pay, without me asking he asked if it's okay to heat up my food first. Um. Like who does that? In my entire life I had never had an restaurant ask me if they can heat it up for me before giving me food. That's how I know management, owners, all team care about customer experience. I discovered this place about a month ago and been back about 8 times. My bf loves their crawfish. I always get big shrimp with bracolli. Will tell ALL MY FRIENDS!!!

I ordered meal#2 which is 10 jumbo shrimp, 2 hushpuppies, w/ two sides. I picked coleslaw and corn. In addition i ordered 2 pieces of catfish. The food is good, so good I pulled over at the gas station nearby to enjoy my food. I only have one complaint./suggestion. The fish should come with a piece of bread. When I opened my box I assumed they forgot the bread, but when I went back inside sadly that was not the case. If you want bread you gave to buy a loaf of buy hushpuppy. Again in my opinion all fried fish should come with at least one piece of bread.

Great food, Great service. My wife and I went after Hurricane Zeta. The restaurant did not have any power, and they were open running off of a generator. The owner took great care of us. The fried shrimp and crawfish was dope! We will definitely visit this and the one on Jimmy Carter again and again. SLH

Really great place on top of being really good they are honest. 4 years ago i came to this location and had the crawfish platter it was so good but we haven't been back since until now and when we ordered the platter again, One of the employees working there rushed to me saying that the boiler and the sauce to which they cook their fish in is cooked with sausage and pork. As a muslim in our religion pork is forbidden knowing this the employee told me immediately gave us a refund. I am forever grateful and will be recommending this place to all my non muslim friends.

Not life-changing, but super fresh and delicious. Counter service followed by a long wait. We had ordered a dozen fried oysters with the rest of our meal. They may have been the best part. When we were finishing up, a guy shows up with another basket of oysters, apologizes for making more oysters, and asks if we would mind taking them (for free). Yes please, and if you make any extra crabs or lobsters, you can send those over too!

They have great fried crawfish and shrimp baskets! It is mostly community seating, other than the few 2 person tables. Environment is light and I enjoyed their decorations that made you feel as if you were somewhere coastal. You order your food at the front, find a seat and they'll deliver it rather quickly. It's great for a quick lunch.

Excellent fish (various kinds), shrimp, oysters on the half shell & fried, calamari, clam strips & Gator cooked to perfection. Some items offered steamed or fried. Sweet potato waffle fries are insane as are the corn fritters. Coleslaw is delicious & veggies are fresh & very good. Large & varied menu. Bring your own spirits too. Floor is extremely sticky— your shoes literally stick to the floor as you walk around the restaurant. With the large staff, someone should be mopping. Snow crab was good. The Cajun boil seasoning is excellent. Gumbo is lacking in flavor. The key to a good gumbo is a deep roux. This gumbo is lacking that flavor and color. I actually ended up making my own roux to add to the gumbo! I don’t think I’ll be back.

We love seafood and we are happy when we find a good seafood place. The 3 star is only for the shacktastic bowl. We also had some fried shrimp, and that was not bad either. What we were not happy with was the (way overpriced) lobster roll. It was NOT GOOD. Did not taste like lobster and had too much herbs that were overpowering the OVERCOOKED lobster. Also it took a pretty long time to get the food.

I recently had a very large event and only gave Crawfish Shack Seafood a 2 days notice. They went above and beyond to provide a tremendous amount of food that was delicious and even drove an hour away to deliver it for me. This company is the best and I will use them in the future and highly recommend you use them as well.

We really like this restaurant because of the Boiled Crawfish it is the best in Atlanta. I lived in Breaux Bridge Louisiana so I know about some good crawfish. If you are from Louisiana and you’re a little home sick, this place is great. I’m writing this review because I order the Crispy Fried Catfish and it was beyond amazing. This tasted like a family fish fry. I really don’t write reviews, but that is how good this fish was.

I've watched this place increase its prices 3 times. They were simply getting bombarded with lines that ran out of the door. I'm glad they did. The food is still affordable. And it's the best seafood I've had anywhere. I've eaten seafood in most of the states including Alaska, and the spicy season of the shrimp is amazing. The only thing I would change is the butter they give you for the crab legs. Their crab legs are amazing, but the butter (most of the time) isn't melted. It's like they squeeze margarine straight from the bottle. It's such a simple thing that they could fix. Besides that, there is no down-side. It's a nice casual place. You order at the counter and they give you a number. My wait has never been more than 10-15 minutes now that they've culled a lot of the deal-seekers.

The food is OUTSTANDING! I have never had a bad meal. The customer service is not great and it takes too long for your food to come out. I understand that it is cooked to order but my average wait after I order is 30 minutes every time I go. They have been out of something every time I have gone. Today they were out of fries & coleslaw. I would go three times per week if they would just speed things up a little. They have a sign on the wall that says "Bad Attitude - No Service". Signs like this are offensive to the 99% of people who don't have a bad attitude. The price for a two very small pieces of Snapper, 4 shrimp, and hushpuppies was $11.76. I think that is high but would be worth it if it got to me quicker. I would love to give this place a "loved it" but the service is too bad. I will go back but it will probably be 3-4 months before I do.

Food was okay, seasoned well! The concerte flooring inside is so dirty and sticky we ate out side. I never go here if the weather doesn't allow me to eat outside, that's how bad the floors are. Your shoes stick to floor as you are walking to your table, you can hear them with each step. So annoying. Please clean your floors.

We had a Mardi Gras party at work and had Crawfish Shack cater their gumbo and hushpuppies. Both were delicious and a huge hit! It was so easy to work with the folks at Crawfish Shack and I appreciated them going above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met. This is hands down one of my top 10 seafood places to eat in Atlanta. The food is great and the service is fast. Also everyone in there are very nice. The only downside is that none of their seafood is wild caught, but the flavors is amazing.

The last two meals were disappointing as compared to the quality of a few years ago. The previous meal a couple weeks ago, the “grouper” was not like any grouper I’d ever eaten — I doubt that it was grouper. Today the fried shrimp were over-cooked. In addition, the Crawfish Shack refused to take a valid coupon because they had a new computer system that would not accept coupons. The Crawfish Shack doesn’t live up to my memories of it.

THE BEST CRAWFISH IN ATLANTA! HANDS DOWN. Nothing fancy, but outstanding! This is the best that we have found outside of Louisiana or SE TEXAS. Perfectly Seasoned and 3lbs. of nothing but Crawfish was just enough for a big guy. The only negative was that we had to go get our own Beer & bring it in!

I'm not sold on this place. I was raised on the Bayous of the South eating seafood daily. When I was told about this place, I was super excited but after my second visit, I realized just how far off this place was from truly satisfying me. 1. I haven't purchased any raw seafood so I won't rate discuss it. 2. The prices are accessible. I don't think the food or seafood in general is expensive, I just think the prices are overkill. Bottled drinks are $2 a pop. That's my first grief. There's a gas station across the street with the same stuff for $0.75 less. Complete annoyance. With the cooked food, not only are you charged for additional items (as you should be) but you are also charged to substitute items. That's bad business. Also, the menu online is different from the printed menu. We are in 2016! An accurate online profile is REQUIRED across all platforms. 3. The fried crab was a disaster and so were the fried crawfish. I have never had anything so disgusting as that crab. I'm just totally disappointed.

The food was excellent! I had the fried shrimp & tilapia a couple of times. Fresh, cooked to perfection but They can do a better job Cleaning the shrimp, kings fish on memorial dr does an excellent job. Other than that just expect a long wait time. 10-15 mins standing in line to place your order and another 30 to cook. So be prepared or try placing a to go order which I haven't tried but i will because the food is good and the prices are reasonable

Had been meaning to try this place for a while since it's been on a few "best of" lists. It was okay but not great. We ordered the ridiculous ~$100 bucket of stuff and were both impressed and disappointed. The crawfish themselves were some of the best I've ever had (but extremely spicy). I don't always like crawfish but these were good. That said, the description of the bucket said it had Blue Crab in it and those were nowhere to be found so I felt a bit ripped off (but I didn't complain so I don't know what the deal is). Also, the floors were sticky and the place just overall felt a bit dirty, but that's not unusual on Buford Highway so I'm not knocking them for that, just an FYI in case someone was expecting something cleaner.

Hands down the best seafood boil I've ever had. A lot of FLAVOR and HEAT. Service is always prompt if you order ahead, which I recommend. The food is made to order fresh so there may be a wait, but it is well worth it!

Aside from my shoes sticking to the floor... The lunchtime vibe was chill and busy. Get there early or you'll be waiting a bit as your savory order will be prepared in the sequence it was ordered. But if you have time and someone to converse with, it's well worth the wait. My coworker had fried shrimp and catfish and I had a crawfish poboy. Let's just say we both left happy plates. The joint could be improved with an actual drink machine instead of bottle drinks. There's three types of tea: unsweet, sweet and southern sweet (that's not southern sweet 🤨!). I enjoyed my lunch and will definitely return.

Love/hate relationship with this place. Not consistent on the level of heat in the Cajun boil, you're either dying or it's just right. Floors are ridiculously sticky. If you stand in one place long enough you'll walk out of your shoes. Found a BIG worm in my potato which they promptly swapped out but didn't say a word when I handed it to them. I eat there knowing it's an adventure.

Come here if you have time on your hands; while. It is great everything is cooked to order it can be a rather long wait during peak lunch and dinner hours. Great crawfish in the area and decent selection of po'boys and other Cajun fare for dining in as well as marker fresh seafood to go for those who want to cook at home

Awesome food. Honestly the fried shrimp were the best I've had in Atlanta. I'm a Florida girl so I'm picky! Potato salad was great, boudin seafood balls were surprising and delicious (we asked for crab cakes and settled on the balls) and the sweet tea was perfectly southern. We will be back.

Just short of getting a 5th star from me, the only thing that was average was the bread our Lobster po boy was on. Other than that everything else was outstanding. Fried okra for $2.59 is one of best deals in Atlanta People complain about the sticky floors but I didnt really notice. ll tables were bused and clean Food runner kid was very nice and professional Male sure to sprinkle a little of the "old bay" seasoning on its delicious We will be back to try other items

Great seafood for the price. We arrived at 8pm. Food took longer than expected to arrive but not unacceptable. Floors are sticky, funniest thing is that I saw them mopping while closing up.

I've been here 5 or 6 times always for lunch. Usually like the food. The choice of seafood here at Crawfish Shack is great. Pretty much everything else is subpar. It's a total dump. My shoes stuck to the floor on 2 of 5 visits. The pic on Google of white tablecloths isn't in this restaurant. Although they tout freshness, a LOT of the seafood including fish is frozen. Wait times are an issue. Often 10+ minutes. Drink arrangements are questionable. I do like the shrimp PoBoy, crawfish, and seafood platter. Also, they sell seafood to take home and prepare.

The shrimp were good as always. But my side items, boiled potato and cob corn, were both cold. The place is run by kids. There never seems to be an adult present. This may be why the service slow and spotty.

Good place to go for seafood with a Cajun accent.The only thing they're missing is red beans and rice. Sometimes long lines, so we've learned to go before or after the usual crowd. The only reason they don't get five stars is because of the sticky floors.

Very casual atmosphere. Order at the counter and sit down at a bench. The boiled crawfish and large shrimp are excellent. The fried jumbo shrimp are decent, but they're not as flavorful as when they are boiled with the seasoning. The cajun fries and the sweetpotato waffle fries are also good.

Fresh seafood is best left to do the talking. When you ask for fried shrimp and you can still see the shrimp detail underneath the surface of breading (dusting is more like it), then you have achieved fried shrimp perfection. This was my first time, but apparently they are to do Po-Boys soon, using fresh vietnamese french bread, which is quite similar to New Orleans original bread. It may even be better suited to Po-Boys in my opinion. You have great prices, great food and friendly service, so what more could you want ? If you need a fancier place to eat, get it to go. I raise a glass in the hopes of continued success without change....

The Pork Boudin Balls were good. The Alligator Tail was really good, not chewy, and with a good crust. The Sweet Potato Fries were awful. How can you mess up fries? The Hush Puppies tasted good, but weren’t fluffy like you expect with hush puppies. The Red Potatoes weren’t flavored to our liking. The Potato Salad was fine. The Cole Slaw was missing some things, such as anything except cabbage (sauce and flavor would have been nice). The Remoulade was really good. The Cocktail Sauce was generic. The Fried Shrimp were only as good (or bad) as what you expect from Long John Silver’s. The Mac and Cheese Poppers were yummy. The Gumbo was flavorless and thin. Everything was overpriced. The food came out one item at a time when each one was ready. So by the time the last person was served, the first person either had to have eaten or their food would have been cold.

The food is very good, and fresh here. The customer service is excellent. They are the is very respectful even when it's busy. I suggest you call your order in so you won't have to wait since they will need time to cook the meal thoroughly.

I love this place. Great po boys, great streamed crawfish. And sometimes, they have gator - which is incredible. They also have a great selection of Zapps, including my favorite - Voodoo. But you should know, while this place is very casual, it is not the cheapest or fastest (but personally, I think that if you want cheap and fast seafood, you deserve to stick with Captain D's).

They have the best crawfish on Buford Hwy. Their crawfish is very flavorful. I have come here more than once and they NEVER disappoint! This time was the first time I tried the mac and cheese poppers and they were very good. They have little pieces of jalapenos in them but it is not spicy; the jalapenos give the poppers a nice kick of flavor. I would definitely suggest getting the mac and cheese poppers. Overall, the crawfish shack is a great place to eat. They have good food AND service, which is hard to find both in one place these days.

I've been hit with "Yellow Fever." It started out with Tom, my previous nail tech, whose foot massages were so good I was convinced I needed to learn Vietnamese to "spit game." How do you say marry me in Vietnamese? Now I've been bitten again. The Vietnamese/Chinese owner and counter boy at Crawfish Shack are easy on the eyes, provide excellent service, and serve up some mean seafood. Pretty much all the qualities any woman needs. The hubby and I hit up the Crawfish Shack after reading many rave reviews and snagging a free gift certificate for the restaurant. At first I'm not gonna lie I thought, "What will Vietnamese people know about hush puppies, catfish, and crawfish?!" Honey when I say the devil is a liar, believe me! He's a mutha "shut yo mouth" lie! In the words of my momma, "That food was on hit!" Our gift certificate required we spend a minimum of $35 to get $25 off of our bill so we ordered quite a bit of food. I ordered the 2 piece catfish & 4 jumbo shrimp meal, with hush puppies and potato salad for the sides. The hubby ordered the tilapia & 4 jumbo shrimp meal, with potato salad and a ear of corn for his sides. That in itself was more than enough, but it didn't add up to the $35 minimum so we ordered 2 sweet teas and 2.75 pounds of crawfish. We had the choice of lightly battered in corn flour or crispy battered in cornmeal for our fish and I, a sucker for a cute face and a smile, got boggled up and ordered my catfish fried in corn flour rather than cornmeal. We also had a choice of boiled, steamed, or fried shrimp, but after finding out the boiled shrimp had a kick to it we both decided on boiled shrimp. The preparation option for the crawfish was similar, boiled or steamed, and being a spicy lover I choice for us the boiled option. Let me just say the word spicy does not describe the fire in the hole sensation you get when you tear into a boiled crawfish. I was literally coughing. It was a beautiful thing. As far as the fish, it was excellent. I prefer my fish fried harder than what I ordered but otherwise it was seasoned, fresh, and cooked to order. Now the hush puppies?! Good lawd, it was heaven in my mouth. I've never had hush puppies so damn good. Usually they are either too hard or dry, but those 3 little balls of heaven were just right. When it comes to the potato salad I literally kept saying, "this is good, oh my goodness, this is made from scratch," over and over. Like seriously I've never had potato salad taste like that in my life. Needless to say I will be back! And the good thing is the owner is a Grady Baby so I don't even have to learn Vietnamese to say "what yo name is?" Score!!!!

What an interesting restaurant, it's almost like it's trying to hard fusing cajun and vietnamese but it works, even with the raw seafood to buy when you walk in. Some of the dishes get pretty spicy so might want to ask on yours. Definitely worth a try and you'll probably be back.
