Reviews of Chops & Lobster Bar
Lauren Benio
Overall the meal was good but I have to admit I was slightly disappointed (maybe because of the hype of this place).
We enjoyed stone crab legs which were one of the better choices of the night. sweet and delicious. $30 for one stone crab. The lightly fried lobster tail was another favorite. steaks were up to par with the other big name steakhouses. In my opinion nothing special. The whole lobster was the best plate ordered of the night. Sides were all good but nothing that left me craving more.
We had reservations to celebrate a milestone birthday. Service was below par for the price. We often had empty drinks and it did not feel personalized or special. The waiter was knowledgeable about menu but that is it. We lost our waiter for a while I tried to reach out for drinks to someone else and they could not help us. At this type of establishment and price point anyone should be able to serve you and make your experience a good one.
I am glad we tried this iconic place in Atlanta but I won't be returning soon and I wouldn't recommend it.

I’ve been to Chops many times but finally getting around to writing a review. I’ve had the opportunity to visit a couple times since they’ve opened.
My favorite meal is the crab cakes! They are some of the best I have ever had. Full of crab meat with almost no fillers. Recently I tried the Holland Dover sole. They filleted it tableside. It was just okay. I also tried the black grouper and it was amazing!
As far as appetizers, I love the calamari and the cut up lobster tails. For sides, I like the truffle Parmesan fries, mashed potatoes, and green beans. The baked potato I’ve had was just okay. It was a bit over cooked.
Photos of lobster appetizer, sole, and grouper.

Such a vibe.. we were there past closing and they didn’t even kick us out or make us feel burdensome. Very accommodating, great service and vibes. The steaks were mostly dry and not well seasoned but it was such a vibe with great friends and awesome conversations, we didn’t even care about the food.

Absolutely phenomenal experience. We had a table for three and ended up needing it for six and they accommodated it very quickly. Our server was timely, polite, and just did a great job of making us feel like we were at home with our friends.

This place we decided to go for drinks & appetizers because the garden room was closed & man I'm glad we did because this was exactly what my wife & I didn't think we needed. Great service, mature drinks, and even better food. We'll be back we've already recommended the place to a couple of our foodies like ourselves.

Loved it! Went here for a birthday celebration. The service was great and my strip steak with a broiled lobster tail was delicious. The strip steak might have been the most tender steak I've had.

OMG!! I enjoyed myself. I went for a birthday dinner. We had to be there by 9:15 and didn't get seated until almost 10pm. Don't recall getting an apology, just seated when our table was available. Not sure why that happened. Other then that, the crab cake was very good and my steak was cooked to perfection and drink was "alright" .I'll definitely go back for the steak and crab cakes

I celebrated my hubby Bday dinner and it was everything the servers Derrick and Hector the food and ambiance was everything! The prices were reasonable. It provide fine dinning and great vibes. I’m happy that I found a perfect spot for my lobster.

The food was good. Steak was cooked to perfection for my husband. Appetizer, fried lobster tail was very good. The side of mashed corn was very tasty but with a bit of baby food texture but still very good. I always get seafood at steak houses. I ordered the cold tower for two because it was a two person min, no shrimp, and the waiter brought out for 1 serving, which was very nice but nothing special. The jumbo lump crab meat was good, the oysters were good, the half lobster was tasteless, no claw, and they took out the body meat and stuffed it with coleslaw. And the white wine by the glass was not so good. I tried the one and only Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc from California. Both were not good.

This one of the Buckhead Dining Group restaurant. They validate valet parking and the valet is right in front of the restaurant.
I took my parents here for my birthday. I made reservation 3 weeks ahead but it was a Friday night in December so the only availability is at 5:30pm, right when the restaurant opened. Do make reservation weeks ahead if you plan to go on Friday or the weekends.
It's not my first time at Chops. Their quality in the food and drinks have been very consistent. They have Christmas decor in December which looks very nice and festive. There's no covid policy here, no one wears mask and no social distance. All tables are very close to each other, and the noise level is loud in here, not the music but the sound of so many people talking loudly in a tight space.
The service is kind of hit and miss, not in a really negative way. The servers are professional and knowledgable about the menu, but you don't feel as welcome. I guess what lack is the friendliness, or maybe it's just my luck in all the times I dined here.
The restaurant's name say it all so as long as your order is steak or lobster or seafood, it would be good. I never try but I would not order chicken from a lobster and steak house.
It was my birthday so the restaurant has a special birthday complimentary dessert, which is nice. Overall, my parents had a good time and the food is good.

I was invited her for a friend's birthday and since I never been before, I was excited to go. I arrived early hoping to sit at the bar but it was beyond crowded. And there weren't any seats in the lobby, which meant I had to stand and wait for the rest of my party to arrive and our table. Once set, our sever introduced herself and took our drink requests. We already knew what we wanted to eat but with it being a busy night, our sever was gone alot. Since I wasn't that hungry, I ordered a few appetizer. I started with the Piedmont Peach cocktail, I was very sweet and tasted wonderful. I then had the Ceasar salad which was dressed well and the croutons were perfect, not too hard and not too soft. Lastly, I had the daily oysters. They were beyond delicious. I wish I was given some that were a little bigger since some were quite small. And I wasn't given any crackers, so since the waiter was not in site, I just ate them straight out the shell. Overall, I had a great night and can't wait to return again.

I took my friend out to celebrate their birthday and we enjoyed the experience! The food and service was great. Our server Derek and the short guy pouring our water made our experience more fun as well. Would definitely come back and recommend 👌. …

Went for our 5th year wedding anniversary. Service was impeccable from hostess to server. First time eating downstairs. Nice ambiance. Upstairs is being renovated. Absolutely loved the Warm Spinach Salad. Was disappointed that menu said Brussels Sprouts Leaves and it was only Brussels Sprouts. As gardeners, who are growing Brussels Sprouts, we were disappointed. The leaves actually grow on the top and people cook them. My Peach Martini was delicious! My hubby asked for medium well and it was more rare. He thought it was ok. Had to return my Crab Cake, it was extremely wet inside. They cooked another one and it was perfect. I ate the Seafood Trio, it was decent but the Salmon was just OK. I made some sockeye salmon this week for dinner that was savory! For dessert they treated us to Bread Pudding with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream. Bread Pudding was dry and wasn't sweet to our liking.

The food was amazing! However, the service was mediocre. At first it was the bathroom, dirty and no toilet paper. Then we had two servers that did not appear to be in sync. The waiter did not seem to be a fan of us, we’re really not sure why. We didn’t hear about the specials of the night, yet when another table came, our server told them all about the specials. During dessert time, they gave us a crinkled, dirty menu. Overall, I think our server needed more training because we felt like he didn’t care!
McCullough Samuel
Delicious! However, there were small bits of shell in the crab cakes. Other than that we really enjoyed our experience!

The food was amazing! I ordered the crab cake and it did not disappoint. Our waiter said it was the best in Atlanta and no lie was told there. I also order the fried lobster BLT with a side of smoked gouda mac & cheese. Best BLT I ever had! This was my first visit but definitely not my last...Went during lunch hour and there was no wait even though it was quite busy. Staff was pleasant and friendly. 👍🏾👍🏾

My fiancé and I recently had dinner here and omg it was so good. Our server was so so kind and attentive about my allergies. My fiancé ordered the wagyu steak & I got the new york strip. Both were so so good. We got more traditional sides , broccoli and green beans so nothing special there. The starter bread was delicious even tho we were given bread with nuts in it. Wine was so good , along with the complimentary dessert we received for our anniversary. You will spend ALOT because it is pricey but it is so worth it.

We had a reservation for 2 at 7:00 pm on a Wednesday night and it was crowded! We were celebrating an anniversary and they really made us feel special. Everyone who came over wished us a happy anniversary and we got a free piece of cheesecake! The service was spectacular.
Here’s what we got:
- Sushi Grade Ahi Tuna Tartare ($22): The portion was super small. Not worth it. This is the only thing we wouldn’t get again.
- Warm Spinach Salad ($16): Delicious!
- Filet - Genuine 1855 Black Angus (8 oz. - $54; 12 oz. - $68): Super good. I got the 8 oz. and my husband got the 12 oz. We both had plenty leftover. We tried the steaks with the Black Truffle Butter ($5) and Béarnaise - Hollandaise ($5). They were both good, but it’s ridiculous that they charge extra for the sauces.
- Brussels Sprouts Leaves & Mushrooms ($11): Delicious!
- Creamy Curly Mac & Smoked Gouda Cheese with Lobster ($34): Very tasty!
We tried a few red wines on our waitress’s recommendations and she nailed it every time! We appreciated that she didn’t suggest the most expensive ones. I also got the Espresso Martini ($14) - also good!!
Chops & Lobster Bar was very good. We had so much food leftover, enough for a whole other dinner!

Time to celebrate my birthday!!! This is an elegant dining experience that's actually kid friendly since we don't go anywhere without one in tow.
We called ahead since most reviews said there's not a kids menu...well not entirely true! The chef can make traditional chicken tenders and fries if you request. The fried lobster tail will please any kid's taste buds.
I started with an appetizer of tiger shrimp with a chili glaze..absolutely delicious!
For my entree I had lamb chops well done with tender green beans and mac n gouda cheese.
The chops had a nice crispy brown texture on the outside, yet tender and juicy on the inside. The green beans were brightly colored, salted and buttered.
All were at the perfect temperature.
I'm full but there's bread pudding served with a chocolate glazed icecream...well maybe just a few bites...
Can't wait till next year!
Shout out to Matthew, our waiter, you're a kind and patient man....

Expensive but awesome! Jen (with her soft voice) took great care of us and her section, lots of happy smiles! I had the Octopus appetizer, my wife the crab cakes. Both exceeded expectations as did the Grouper and the deep fried Lobster Tails.
So, if you're looking for something upscale this place will meet your expectations in my view.
Thanks again to Jen and Mason!

Went here on a work dinner and it was really good. The table ordered the cold seafood appetizer which is HUGE, I liked everything on it but the oysters (I won’t touch those things 😬). I was in the mood for chicken so that’s what I ordered and the rest of the table ordered steak. Everyone enjoyed their meals and their drinks. It’s definitely a pricey place so it’s not a place we can frequent often, but if you can, it’s worth it.

We got lucky to get in here the same day. Cool interior and vibes. Food was good but service was average. Waiter seemed in a rush and was not particularly attentive. Was expecting more service for a restaurant at this price point. Luckily the food was good. The steaks and Chilean sea bass were great.

First time here at Chops & Lobster bar and let us say that we we were impressed from the very minute that we parked our car. Service was top notch and the staff welcomed you with a smile and knew your name. Lobster Mac and cheese was to die for as was the oysters on the half shell of their "East vs West" plate.
Karen Holt
Had an amazing birthday celebration with my family! The crab cake and lobster was delicious! Roberto and Ian were great!
Amber Ferrill
The food and service met expectations. I love that there is a dress code. It's upscale , yet still affordable. Great for dates, business meetings, or night out catching up with friends.

Steak was comparable to Longhorn taste and quality. Fried Lobster tail was easy 5 star.
Service was minimum. Service was at the level that he knew the 300-400$ bill was going to get him a tip. The cramped seating allowed me to see that none of the servers took any extra level of effort. Less than Waffle House level of table service.

We came here for NYE to say goodbye to 2020. They have a very everything l efficient and hardworking staff that really took care of us. Although we had walked in last min without a reservation, they made us feel comfortable and got us fed some beautiful food. Only thing I can say is that two of our foods came out earlier then the other two peoples and by the time the other ppls foods came out, the steak was cold.
The asparagus and the creamed corn were very good.
The fried lobster tails are legendary and for good reason. They come with melted butter. The burger was supposed to be the best in town but I think they were just good.
They had some party hats for us and they're were some balloons for NYE decor but nothing more.

I was visiting and heard a lot about chops. I ordered the filet which was so juicy and cooked to perfection; the grilled lobster with stuffing (note it's just a Maine lobster not African like the menu states) for almost $100 it was very basic and looks better than it tasted; green beans were ok; Mac and cheese with Gouda was ok ... needed more flavor; lobster bisque with lobster absolutely enjoyed it...not too rich...really good; and banana pudding pie another item to not try...it's just regular banana pudding on a hard crust....they should replace the crust with a type of vanilla crust.
Also for the price I would expect the plates and silverware to look better as well as the staff blazers...wrinkled and too big.

Food and ambiance was great. Customer service needs work. I had reservations for a party of six. The hostess refused to seat 4/6 of us until the whole party showed. Secondly out of a very crowded restaurant Kevin the general manager asked my party did we smoke marijuana prior to arriving bc he smells it. No we did not ,as we advised Kevin . We were really offended.
K-run Denise
The lobster bisque was amazing as was my piedmont peach; the rest of my food was good but a little heavy on the salt which was surprising.
It also took a long time (45mins) to be seated even with a reservation and arriving 15mins early. This is definitely a place that caters to their "regulars/members."
Our waiter was cordial and friendly but NOT attentive at all. The lower level bar area was much louder than I anticipated; I was looking for a quieter atmosphere. I plan to return and visit upstairs; I'm hoping for a different overall experience.

I came here to dine alone for a mini celebration.
For a starter, I had a which salad that is not pictured but it was really good. I was going to try the bread basket however with a nut allergy I was unable to. Before I even picked up a piece the waiter asked if I had allergy which I shared with him that I did. He immediately told me to hold off until he could confirm what kind of nuts were in the proximity of the bread. When he returned, he let me know that I he cannot be for certain if the bread came into contact with nuts but it is up to my discretion I want to eat it. I truly appreciated that and the rest of his service for the duration of my visit.
My entree was the surf and turf in the lobster was amazing. The steak was great too but I love seafood. The restaurant's was nice and kind of reminded me of Noni's on a chill night. You can hear the buzz of light conversations wherever you are seated and the lighting is dim but bright enough for you to read the menu and enjoy your meal.
I will return and try something new.

The food was great! 👍I ordered the crab cakes with mashed Potatoes(Potatoes needed a lil seasoning but still good), My Son ordered Filet Mignon and fries,My Mother ordered the same as myself(Crab Cakes) except she got the lobster mashed Potatoes which were also good, and My Dad got the Chilean Sea Bass and the fried Calamari,he too said his food was Delicious as well. Definitely not a Mediocre priced menu so make sure you bring your wallet/purse here $$$$! 😊 It was about $350 for all of us NOT including the tip,no biggie. The food is of exceptional quality so I don't mind paying for great food. It was my First time trying this place, some of the stuff on the menu was a little too creative for me lol but im just a plain Jane don't pay me attention 🤣with my food. For Example if i get a lobster tail or fish I dont mind butter on the side or a basic sauce cooked with the fish but I would not like my food cooked in a coconut soy carrot sauce that kind of stuff for example is too over the top for me but to each its own. So Yes I would go again if I'm in that area. ✌️💛

This place is exquisite! The service, the atmosphere, the food, everything! The waiter, Christopher, was extremely accommodating. Anything we asked, he provided. I ordered the Shellfish Tower, however, my companion has a shellfish allergy. As shown on the menu, this item is for 2 ppl (minimum). Christopher had it created for only my enjoyment. My companion ordered the Caesar salad, but added tomatoes and cucumbers. NO PROBLEM! We ordered the Thin Green Beans (scrumptious) and the Creamy Curly Mac & Smoked Gouda. It was good, but needed more seasoning, so we added salt. We ordered an 8 oz Wagyu Steak and a Filet and they both were delicious. The Wagyu was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. They didn't have any steak sauce for my companion, however, they offered a house sauce which he wasn't fond of. I never use steak sauce but tasted it. To me, it was pretty good, but they served it very cold. It was his birthday, so they gave him his favorite, cheesecake, free of charge. It had an apricot gelatin topping, which made it superb.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed everything about it, and will be going back.

Grilled Octopus appetizer was best I have ever tasted. The Prime Filet was not the best ever but it was very good. The broccolini, roasted Brussel sprouts and mac-n-cheese were great complimenting sides.. We had banana cream pie and creme Brulee for desert. Both were large enough to share and a great treat to top off the meal. An expensive meal with great service and 5 star chef prepared. Definitely worth a stop for special occasions.
Mah-siah A
Old chops was so much better. The vibe has changed - def more money focused - less about the experience for the guest. Mac & Cheese was cold. Onion Rings were not crispy. Employees don't seem too happy to be there. Also, I do think there may be a racist undertone but I wouldn't necessarily say from the staff/restaurant itself, maybe moreso from certain guests who are classist and believe certain people don't belong in their atmosphere..Oh well. Still love the ambiance but that's really it.
Martha Dawson
My husband and I went to the restaurant for our anniversary and we both enjoyed the food. The food was actually amazing from appetizer to desert. We would defiantly visit again.
Keith Young
From the moment I walked in this restaurant made me feel like I was apart of the Chop family. You all made my experience spectacular. I will be back. Thank you for the warm hospitality.
Tan Harris
The experience was very good. 5 star restaurant with high end feel. Prompt service with server team. Valet us reasonably priced. Wait time was minimal due to Reservations. Must take elevator up to restaurant.

It would be tough to decide who is number one for me. Chops, Bones and I’ve recently moved Marcel to my top 3. All great places. We did all 3 for dinner in 3 back to back nights. And still figuring out top 1, 2 or 3 placement would be tough. Great place, and honestly Chops and Bones are traditional Atlanta. Let’s just say we should praise God you have 3 steakhouses of this level.

The atmosphere was nice and so was the service. I had the feroe salmon with rice cake. IG: @atlantafreestyleeats for more restaurant reviews and blog pictures.

This place really exceeded our expectations. Did not know what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised with how good this place was from start to finish. The drinks were really good see my manhattan with bacon in it super delicious. Steak was wonderful cut of meat and cook to good temperature. Everything we had was really good and I look forward to going back soon. We were staying at the St. Regis and it is literally 50 feet away from the hotel so what a great compliment. I will come back and look forward to another fantastic dining experience. Staff was good service was great and food was fantastic.
Pearl Black
Awesome service, awesome food. Everything was better than good, each entree ordered was simply delicious. The wait staff were so attentive, you will not be disappointed in this dining choice, worthy of every star earned.
Rob Cole
Wonderful food! Huge portions and prepared to perfection! Atmosphere and staff were ideal and very accommodating. A must in Atlanta.
Maria Pinto
Valet parking right in front. This restaurant shares entrance with St. Regis Hotel. The service was great! Server was very attentive and informed. They bring an assortment of breads which were good. Cranberry was really good. This was my first time trying lobster after saying I didn't like it when I was younger and I loved it. They gave me lobster mashed potato and wow... the pieces of lobsters are big and it was delicious. Everything was great. Definitely a romantic spot or special celebration place. You will feel special. If your visit involves a celebration, let them know and they will bring you a dessert to celebrate!

Hands down the best steak I have ever had. The service was top notch and the decor was very classy. My only piece of advice would be, if you have a dress code make sure it's enforced all the time. If I have to dress up to come in, it should be no reason why patrons with jeans and t-shirts just walk in, especially after they remind you on the phone you won't be admitted without proper attire. I definitely would have felt more comfortable in jeans myself. However, I plan to come back several times to this amazing steakhouse.
Michael Marsh
One of my favorite business lunch places. Food and service at Chops are always first class. Saw a crane there yesterday, maybe working to get repairs done so they can reopen? Look forward to dining there again soon.

Me and my friend and colleague treat ourselves once a month to a new restaurant in our Atlanta area. I had my elderly father and nephew with me and we all enjoyed our time.. Inside the place is lovely, great fora date a group where you can hear yourself talk.. The staff was outstanding ..Mw and my nephew had the ribeye for two… It was cooked to our liking and seasoned perfect… It was the best steak he ever had, mind you he is 25.. The steak ribeye is very good.. the sides ( mashed potatoes and creamed spinach were perfection.. My father had the largestpiece of banana cream pie and ate the whole thing. The calamari was very nice, but I am still comparing everything to theAmalfi coast in Italy, that is where you will get the best calamari, in my opinion.. but, our favorite is the lobster bisque with chunks of lobster… I wantthat recipe.. the best I ever had. overall, fabulous experience.. we will be back and recommend this highly rated steakhouse ! bon appetit!..
Brandon B
A classy place without the dark ambiance feeling like some high end restaurants. The service was superb and cleanliness was satisfactory. Business casual is the dress code. On the other hand, it felt more of a family oriented atmosphere and not a romantic feel. There was laughter and camaraderie at each table it seemed like. There’s only valet parking, and seating arrangement seemed a bit crowded but tolerable. Only one person per bathroom here. The porterhouse steak is highly recommended if you’re in a mood for a steak. I ordered it medium and had plenty of flavor and juice to smother not only your steak but your sides as well. Their white chocolate banana cream pie was excellent and huge. The pie could have easily fed three people so be prepare to share. Enjoy my foodie connoisseurs.

Awesome food. We had the stuffed lobster. It was worth every penny. They went out of their way to help me plan a great evening with my wife. They had flowers on the table and a nice bottle of wine. Awesome and friendly staff. My wife had the stuffed 5 pound Lobster and I had a great steak. The Lobster and steak was absolutely outrageously great...it was insane Food could taste this Great

This was one of many special Birthday gifts from my Daughter. She surprised me with dinner at this elegant restaurant, and all I can say is that we were very pleased especially with valet parking service the moment you drive up with no long waiting. The interior was beautiful and our seating was by the window and the services received was definitely a five ⭐ because from the moment we were seated the excellent service began throughout our stay, and our selections for dinner was even better ⭐ with no complaints at all.
Our choices were Lobster, Steak and Salmon served on a bed of sticky rice and we each enjoyed our choices. Our instructions on how we wanted our dish to be prepared was done to our specifications completely and plated beautifully. We definitely will return for my Grandsons 13th birthday because he loved his ent'ree. So yes I suggest you put this restaurant on your list as one to dine., p.s. There is no waiting or searching for "your waiter" because they all provided excellent service preventing long waits for anything you would need to continue enjoying your meal/dinner. Here's to Chops 🥂 💳

Impeccable service! Amazing. My wife and I celebrated our one year anniversary here. I mentioned this via Open Table and we had no less than 4 staff members stop at our table to congratulate us, all using our names. It was an incredibly thoughtful touch that really made our evening. Of course, the food here is wonderful and the atmosphere warm and inviting. When we are able to go, we are always so pleased at how welcome we feel.
Sofia De la Mora
The most delicious steak I have had in years. Must order the certified A5 grade Wagyu steak, it literally melted in my mouth, amazing!!! I also ordered the bone in ribeye with truffle butter and that was spectacular. For appetizers I recommend the seafood tower, crab and lobster were great. As sides we loved the lobster potatoes, the Parmesan truffle fries and the mac and cheese. Our favorite dessert was the rum raisin bread with vainilla ice cream. Very expensive.
Teresa Turner
We celebrated our anniversary there last night and were treated like we were the only diners there. We had their delicious Caesar Salad, Center Cut Filet Mignon and half 2-pound Lobster. They surprised us with a delicious dessert topped with ice cream drizzled with chocolate. It was a perfect meal and the service and attention to detail were top notch. We will definitely be going back.
Teresa Aluku
The shellfish tower was ok not great...had better experience somewhere else. The steak was done to perfection....the wait staff are excellent. Would I ho back...hell yeah and try something else different from what I had. Overall I had a great time with good food and wine (which they do have a great selection of).
Dontae Prosper
Kimberly was extremely helpful and patient. My only complaint is she hasent been put in a management role with her level of attentiveness and hard work
Rhonda Martin
The atmosphere, service, servers, and food were all splendid! I had the arugula with apples, candied walnuts, dried cranberries and vinaigrette, the fried lobster tail. Mister had the prime rib. The sides we had, which are served for two, were the creamy spinach and the Parmesan garlic fries. We also shared a huge slice of banana creme pie with a macadamia nut crust (sorry no picture). I didn’t care for the pie. It was minty which was an odd taste. Overall, great place!
Daniel Simmons
I ordered an all lump crab cake for an appetizer which was amazing. Then I followed that up with a 8oz filet and a 16oz fried lobster tail which was some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday and our anniversary while on vacation so they hooked us with some chocolate cake and banana cream pie which was a perfect ending to a perfect meal. I loved the strong drinks too. Can’t remember the name of the drink but it was Tequila with orange and pear, very good and strong. We loved this place!
Chris Kishel
This place was absolutely amazing. This is one of those expensive, but extremely worthy experiences. Excellent service, excellent cocktails, excellent wine and absolutely delicious steaks, sides, crab cakes and lobster! Also, the bread pudding was delicious!
Jeff Higginbotham
We enjoyed our 30th anniversary here and the service and food were impeccable! Al was an outstanding server. Buckhead Life restaurants are one class act!!
Stephen Beam
Pricey but very good! The service was excellent, the food came out quickly, and everything was perfectly done. My wife and I ordered the tiger shrimp appetizer, a New York strip, the seafood Trio, and each had a glass of wine. We couldn't find anything to complain about regarding the food or drink, and we left feeling comfortably full. We paid $210 for the meal, tax, and tip. We spent another $10 on valet parking.
Jordan Wright
Great food. Great time. Staff was knowledgeable and attentive, however we definitely felt rushed out compared to the tables around us.
Rodney Billups
Great meal. We didn't have reservations so we had to sit at the bar. Turned out to be awesome. Bartender was superior, service, food, company. Will definitely be back.
Misty Merritt Oehmke
Outstanding service. Food was Divine. Oysters on the half shell, Surf and Turf... All exceptional ❤️ They were wonderful for my birthday.

Wow! We wanted to find a top notch place in the area and boy did we make the right choice! The food was incredible. Service amazing. We come to ATL once or twice a year for business. Will be coming back to Chops every time.
Staci Hunt
My son had just qualified for state in swimming as a middle schooler. We took him to celebrate and the staff was fabulous and the food was fantastic.
Corrione Williams
This place is a chill vibe. Went here on date night and I ordered the African lobster tails. They were so good. I will definitely come back
Colleena Washington
I literally lived near this place for over 10 years and never experienced dining here! After 15 years of living here in Atlanta me and some friends decides to dine here last night. The ambience, the food, the drinks, and our server Brendan was amazing and beyond impressive!!! I will definitely be returning to experience more of what they have to offer!
Nesha Z
Loved my meal- ribeye and fried lobster tail. Generous portions and the service was excellent!
Ronald Williams
The food and wait staff are amazing. Very packed for a Thursday night though so if a quiet ambiance is your preference I would recommend somewhere else.
Nicholas Hardy
Recently went to Chops. I got the Ahi Tuna. It was perfectly cooked. We also ordered the banana creme pie and it was the largest dessert I've ever seen. I would recommend this place to anyone asking for suggestions for a place to enjoy good seafood.
Michelle Camarata
Sea bass had minimal flavor and was steamed. Rice was cold. Waiter went out of his way to suggest sauting the fish and the new order came out quick and delicious.
Molly Vrieze
I had pretty high expectations since this place is so well known. We went for our anniversary and although it was good, I don’t need to go back. I had the lobster bisque as an appetizer and was just a little annoyed because the waiter asked if I wanted it with lobster chunks and of course I said yes but didn’t realize he would charge an extra 12$...I know it’s a small fee at a nice restaurant but it just felt rude. I ordered the seafood trio and my husband got the peppercorn ribeye. The crab cake was the best part of the trio with the lobster being good once I was able to pull it out of the tail (I thought it would be easier to come out but I really had to cut into it). The salmon was over cooked and quite bland. The ribeye was excellent and perfectly seasoned and cooked. Overall we both felt it was good but not great. I hoped for a more romantic/personal feel but it felt more like a business dinner type place. The ambiance was too loud for my liking and the service was good but felt forced. We both agreed we would rather have gone back to Canoe or The Whisky Project.

Had a wonderful birthday dinner there!
Larry Pye
You're pretty much paying for the ambiance. The restaurant gives upscale with its decore and the advertisement of fresh seafood. The staff is nice and friendly, however, the food is very mediocre and they need to invest in some seasoning.
Tina Williams
I had my birthday dinner here, first time having waygu. It wasn't what I hoped for, first Order came out to charge but wait staff was very hospitable and service with great... quickly bought 2nd order, it was cooked perfectly. I just thought it would be a better cut of beef. Filet at Ruth Chris is just as good in my opinion. My boyfriend's seabass was good but Seasons 52 he thought was better. My boyfriend had to remind our server it was my birthday after hearing our server speak on other couples around us dining there due to a celebration and NOT ACKNOWLEDGING MY BIRTHDAY...Doug, our server, then quickly apologized and brought complimentary dessert at end of meal. It was an ok experience .

What Can I say about Chops Lobster bar, first off the service was incredible. The ambiance made me feel like I was in a NYC restaurant. The lobster bisque was incredible, definitely add the lobster morsels. The seafood sampler was perfect if you wanted a taste of lobster tail, crab cake and salmon. The lobster was a good size, and the crab cake was all crab. The sea bass and salmon Hong Kong dish was delicious. The escargot was delightful. The brussel sprouts leafs and mushrooms side dish was a perfect compliment to the main dishes.
Kay Kashh.
The food was amazing . Great service. The best stake I’ve ever had. I highly recommend

Great place to spend the beginning of my birthday celebration. Wait staff were friendly and knowledgeable. 3 kinds of birthday dessert sampled here. All superb in taste and presentation.
Micheal
Had the best birthday dinner there tonight. The Tomahawk ribeye for two was so tender. One of the managers, Jeff, recommended the lobster bites and they were delicious. They even brought a dessert to celebrate. Looking forward to the next visit.
Nannette Rolle
Great for a special occasions! Took my husband for his birthday. Steak and lobster was top notch. Servers were attentive and professional.
Travis Williams
Lovely atmosphere! Great food. Our server Matt was the coolest and picked a great bourbon for me.

This is not my first visit to Chops, but felt it time I give them the praise that they are worthy of. It’s a steak lover’s paradise, but they really do all things impeccably from their appetizers, side items and service. Their lobster bisque is slap your mama delicious and large enough to share! I could quite easily make a meal out of it alone. The steaks were cooked to perfection and are so tender they almost melt in your mouth! The creamed spinach was equally as good. If you are in the mood for a heartier side, I recommend the off menu lobster mac and cheese. They also offer a wonderful selection of wines to accompany your meal. The wait staff is first class and are meticulous at keeping the tables clear and clean. Chops remains one of my favorite restaurants in the Atlanta area and well worth the extra coins. Treat yourself!
Nesha Moss
Great place to eat 1st come 1st serve at the bar but other than that you have to make an reservation I would say 2 days before, entree start at 40$ well worth it
IAm Blessed
This place was outstanding. Took my family whom were in town from Michigan and the entire table enjoyed themselves and the food was superb. Waiters were well trained and attentive. Nice establishment, packed and i see why. Food was delicious. Great place. Next time I go it will be for date night. My bill was pretty large but worth it.
earline halcolm
I celebrated my 40th birthday here tonight and this place really lived up to its name everything was amazing!!!!!! Would really recommend this place for a special occasion or even a romantic date night!
Edison's Espresso and Tea Bar 1
Delicious..our server Chris was excellent.
He was very attentive and went above and beyond for us. We did have another older gentleman with a Serbian accent that started off taking our orders( which the orders were put in incorrectly) and he just ignored us once a more familiar group was seated. Which resulted in us waiting and waiting, but Chris came to fix all of that. Thank you so much for making my sisters pre birthday a memorable one
Andy Hunt
12oz fillet and fried lobster tail!!!! Booooom!!! Your bill is going to be expensive and I saw Dr. J and I thought he was going to dunk on someone!
Draya
I’m going g to assume with them opening back up recently they need a little time. My food was not hot… and the flavors weren’t there. I’ll try again at a later date.
dion kevin
A bit too traditional. Food is about what you would expect from an established steakhouse. Think Capital Grille, Morton's, Gibson's, Smith and Wollensky
Samuel W. Dodd
Great atmosphere, the service is second to none and the food is outstanding!- I recommend you try the surf and turf if it's your first visit especially. You can't go wrong with the fried lobster tail and filet- the best cuts of meat in town. A-5 Wagu is amazing might I add with truffle butter - the seafood tower is an appetizer that is as visually stunning as it is good. Either as a special occasion night out, romantic date night or business lunch this place can't be beat. We've been coming here for years however the wait staff remembered our names after only a visit or so. Highly Recommended!!! We'll see you guys soon!
Chelsa Lightner
It was awesome!!!! Our waiter was the BOMB!!! The Food was the BOMB! Our drinks were the BOMB BOMB...ijs I LOVED OUR EXPERIENCE!!!
Audrey Jones
Food was delicious as always. Steak and crab cake.1st and only restaurant i have been to during this covid pandemic.
Jesse Bylek
Excellent service and dining experience. I'm not a desert person but the banana cream pie out of this world. I was a little disappointed that several menu items were unavaible, but understanding since it was the day after the Super Bowl.
Jauxniece
I'm not one for restaurant groups or chains BUT I was VERY happy that they cooked "our" steak medium well & rare.
Bridgette Blanding
Listen my food was amazing. The steak was superb, and their steak sauce? I can drink it, it's so good!!! The waiter accidentally brought us mashed potatoes with Lobster, it was so good I'll order that the next time. Best creme Brule I've ever had. I will definitely go back soon! It was too good. I was completely stuff!!!
Chloe Choi
Nice ambience and attentive service. Everything we ordered was delicious: appetizer, salad, main and side dishes, and even dessert. We will be definitely back!
Justin
First, it's always a pleasure dining at the restaurant. The wait staff is very accommodating, very friendly, and unbiased. The food is exactly what you'll expect from an upscale dining facility. If you decide to indulge in a beverage, the moscow mule or Chop's Martini will do the trick. Plan to spend a little more than usual but it will be well worth it. Mazel Tov!
brenda roberson
Wonderful service, great food and setting.
Bryan H
Normally I prefer to cook my own steak but for my wife's birthday I decided we should see what Chops had to offer. All I can say is I was surprised! I got the one in ribeye and got it med-rare with a char and I tried and tried when I got home to replicate and let's just say it's worth the expense to come and get it done right here. The service was excellent and all of our food and drink was as well. Highly recommend.

Awesome atmosphere. Steak was okay. Sides were great
Baby Dinosaur
Very up scale and professional place , I highly recommend and dress code strictly enforced , I recommend dressing like prince Charles and the queen of England .
Jimelanie69 Pollard
One of the best gourmet meals ever!
Chops Lobster Bar was originally Pano & Paul’s but changed names a few years ago. They are well-known for their Fried Lobster (either as an appetizer or a full tail as an entree). I’ve ordered this dish for years and it’s worth making a trip to Atlanta to have it.
This time I ordered the Crab Cakes as an appetizer preceding the Fried Lobster Tail. It was almost as good as the Lobster.
This place, These two dishes, are “can’t miss!”
Livleen v
The host was pretentious, he was a bearded server. But the food was decent, nothing to rave about. Decent dessert.
Ray Lader
What a great space once you get inside and beyond the bar area. There was a rather loud group that were disrespectful to those around them which tempered my review a bit.
The drinks were solid and mixed well. The filet is beautiful and flavorful and cuts like butter. The Mac and cheese side was a bit bland for the presentation and the potatoes were fine, could be smoother and more butter but now we are into personal taste.
The bread pudding dessert was delicious and worth it. Still thinking about it.
Great spot for a bit of a classy meal but unfortunately sometimes the other guests take away from that feel.
Amber Daniels
I went Thursday 12/09/21. Service was amazing and the food was delicious. Kind of awkward getting in. You pull in like you're going to St Regis, but it's to the left of it. Valet and walk upstairs and it's a weird door with dim lighting that looks like employees only or something. The decor is mainly the mahogany wood throughout. Very masculine. Not a ton of ambiance. Go with someone you actually enjoy talking to. Lots of older people there that look like old money.
Nick Delesandro
Best chef/food in town! Awesome fine dining for those special occasions - Great for every other day too 🥩🔪🦞🧈 …
Shawn Pacely
Loved it, absolutely amazing 👏🏾
Great ambiance, drinks, service and food. Will be back again shortly!
Damon Hall
Great ambiance and decor, very classy. The service and environment is superb. We ate here for lunch. The food was a large okay, rather disappointing for the price. I had a stout and the lobster BLT. The beer was good, I would rate the sandwich a moderate "okay", nothing spectacular or inspired, pretty ordinary. The fried lobster wasn't bad, a few slices of iceberg lettuce, mayo and tomato on white bread. My wife had grilled lobster, and it was overcooked and a little tough. The mashed potatoes and broccolini were really good, however. Her glass of champagne was tasty and refreshing. Although the food was disappointing, the service, staff, and atmosphere were fantastic. Lots of good components in the experience, but the food we had would not inspire me to return for more.
Alison M
Love the elegance of old New York with the most flavorful steaks and delicious crab cakes. Quiet enough to have a conversation with perfectly polished servers. Marvelous every time!
Jill Graham
Everything was delicious, but my NY strip was tough and chewy!!
Charlie Doan
I'd like to give it a five stars BUT! Because of the service was not good enough. It's disappointing because the foods we ordered were great
larissa arms
Very upscale and the ambiance is nice, food was great, and my seat was actually next to TYLER PERRY'S and his entire cast from his show If Loving You Is Wrong. Parking is a little congested so if you go make sure you have cash on you for valet.

I think there is one of the best Restaurant in atlanta. If you're a steak lover. Even the bread is delicious.
Alec House
Very good steak. A little on the pricey side for the actual quality of what you get, but I would definitely recommend going if you have the time.
HSC MD
Highly recommended. Enjoyable from entry to exit. We were greeted warmly and immediately seated, due to our early reservation when the restaurant opened. Congenial service crew met our needs. And the food was superb. Warm fresh bread with room temperature unsalted butter. Calamari had a very flavorful sauce with slight heat, and not heavily breaded. Seafood trio delicious, each item high quality. Most importantly for seafood, cooked perfectly. Chocolate pie with dense filling was a treat to end the meal. Overall a memorable meal.
Sara Kim
It was delicious!!! We had the truffle fries, lobster mash, tomahawk steak, and a lobster on top!!
Compared to somewhere like STK (where we went the day prior) the ambiance, food, and value is much better.
One thing we didn’t appreciate was the seating. They sat us at a very small table while the restaurant had only two other parties at that time. They sat other parties of two at bigger tables so I’m not sure why they sat us there. It was plate to plate so much clutter.. there was just barely enough room for our food.
Another was that our server asked the table behind us if they were celebrating a special occasion and proceeded to bring them out a nice dessert for their mentioned occasion. I didn’t mind much that he didn’t ask us but it was strange he asked them and not us. Usually when I go to a fine dining establishment they always ask or look at the specification made on the reservation about any special occasion (anniversary for us). He also seemed to attend to his other tables much more frequently then ours.
Other than that, we would go back again!

Absolutely wonderful, I celebrated my Birthday there and everything was super great. The Ambiance was Beautiful
Brittney McKinnon
The food was delicious!! The creamy spinach was amazing!!! (Follow my food blog on Instagram @wherewegoing_)
Ziyacdah Atkinson
Amazing experience. Our son loved the food. My household is full of foodies so a restaurant that meets all our expectations and deals with a sleepy hangry toddler likes a G
Shaquise Evans
Very very nice place food was good. Very nice for birthday, anniversary, etc.

This restaurant is top choice! My date and I ordered the Porterhouse steak, this steak was the MOST attractive piece of beef I have ever encountered!!! A must try. The staff was truly amazing! They treat each guest as if they are the ONLY one there dining! I have made several visits and the staff are consistent in their warm accommodations. And the ambiance is gravitating.

I’ve been here before but this time we came for my bestie’s birthday. We were a large party of 12. We had to servers. Service was impeccable. My water stayed full. My lemon drops were AMAZING! I ordered a wedge salad and spicy shrimp for my appetizer both were great. Lamb for my entree and my side was creamed spinach. Everything was perfect! My bestie enjoyed her birthday 🥳 she was smiling and laughing the entire time. They allowed me to bring her favorite chocolate ganache cake and put it in the fridge while we dined. Our server brought it out perfectly timed to sing “happy birthday”. A few of us decided to come back for lunch the following week. This was literally 3 days before they caught fire so we can’t go back now. They are closed temporarily for repairs. Patiently waiting on their reopening.
Kathlyn MacFarlane
Wow! We went to Chops for 45th Wedding Anniversary. The food was incredible & the service could not have been better. They gave us a free glass each of Champagne, side & dessert! We will be back. Bless!
Lisa Cochran
Ashley was so fun and fantastic! Amazing meal and atmosphere.
Ken Walker
Came here on a Friday night and man it was busy. The bar was packed, they were seriously behind on their reservations, and there wasn't any way to get out of the way of staff and other customers while you waited for your table. Our first table was next to a serving table in the back room and we asked to be reseated. We finally got one of the best tables in the restaurant, so we could finally enjoy our dinner. The food was prepared fabulously and Jim, or waiter, was extremely patient with our specific ordering needs. He made up for the challenges at the beginning of the meeting. I'll probably return, but not on a Friday or Saturday night leading up to the holidays.
Techs Weclome
Amazing food, amazing service, and a delicious menu. I highly recommend this establishment!
Tyler Weant
What an amazing place to celebrate an amazing leadership team. Our team of 12 had our annual Holiday leadership luncheon and the food was amazing!!! I ordered the lobster Mac&cheese as a side with my meal and it was enough to share among four people. The Mac&cheese was the highlight of the meal for several of us. I would highly recommend it as a complement to an entree.
Gregory Gamble
Excellent food and service. Perfect for special occasions or just a great night out.
Phantom World
Great upscale restaurant. Our server Chris was excellent. Very knowledgeable with the menu, and very persuasive when it came to explaining the house features or house specials. The dress to empress attire made the establishment more elegant and comfortable. I would definitely dine here again.
jose casul
Where do I begin. A1 overall.
Valet parking was on point. We had 7:30 reservations and sat down promptly @ around 7:45...as expected (Covid)
Our serving crew (2) was amazing.
They actually come and swept I off any bread crums off of the table before the main course comes out. Impeccable service to say the least. The food was again "Amazingly well prepare." Overall it was an amazing experience....AND THEN THE BILL CAME....There were 4 of us in our party. Only I had 1 cocktail. It was....$546.00...#MEAN‼️
I wouldn't have changed a thing...worth every cent 💯👍🏽

Reopened!!! Always loved this place, for decades. What's not to love about great service, and delicious lobsters.
E Harris
This place is a bit over rated to me. There's a nice ambience here. Very relaxed setting. The waiters tend to get a little impatient or irritated if you aren't familiar with the menu. Honestly the menu isn't all that impressive. I mean the steak was ok. The sides are definitely not all that. I will say that the Crab Cakes are good. I've definitely had better! I came as an invite to a group gathering and unless I am invited again....I probably won't be back. But I think everyone should try it at least once.
Alexander MacDougall
Awesome food and service! Totally worth the cost!
Sheena Williams
I had the seafood trio the lobster was rubbery. The salmon and crab cake was great. Service was good.

Fantastic atmosphere, great staff, excellent food. Rightfully among the best steakhouses in the South.

Awesome staff, food was delicious.

Chops is hands down one of the best places to have a quality dining experience here in Atlanta.
The service is amazing, always clean. During this time if Covid 19, you want to be sure that you can dine while being distanced without fear of a dirty atmosphere. You will never get that feeling at Chops.
You can't go wrong with the shrimp appetizer. There are cooked, breaded and sauced to perfection. Every time I order they're perfect. Also, I ordered the rib eye bone in medium. Again, compliments to the chef. Amazing. Tender, seasoned, and just the right warm in in center.
If you have the high roller membership, they have a full cigar bar in the back with the friendliest atmosphere. You're serenaded by the gentle playing the baby grand and it's sultry. The hostess, bartender and waitresses are always great! The back room is only for VIPs. And it's very pricey but we'll worth the experience!
Akhenaten Hotep Amun
The sides were very tasty and full of flavor. The crab cakes were not good at all. We ordered to go and appreciated the ease of ordering online and curbside pickup.
My wife loved everything she ordered. If I didn't have the sides, this would be a tough one at 2 maybe 3 stars.
eddie woods
Fine dining and service beyond reproach. Food is excellent period full stop
Julia Vasquez Walter
Let me start by saying that the food is amazing. I can honestly say this is probably my favorite restaurant. The steak is cooked just right, the lobster Mac and cheese is to die for, crab cakes are great... Everything is amazing. Even the cocktails are fantastic. My husband and I enjoy coming here and having a low key date. The staff is super prompt, professional and on top of it. I can definitely say I’ve never had a bad experience. EVER. We will happily pay for a 4-digit dinner experience here with our family. SHUT UP AND TAKE ALL MY MONEY!!!!

Came here to celebrate my moms 43rd birthday. Tarik & Antoine were the best! The service was IMMACULATE! the food was amazing. We showed up with Half the party at 8:45 the remainder came at 9:00pm. The restaurant was closing and they still made sure to give us the best service ever. The portions were great . They were also very entertaining.
We definitely will be returning, again food was GREAT & service was one to remember!
Stacey Brown
The service and food were amazing. Lambchops and lobster tail. Yum!
Sharon Brooks
There was a mishap bur after 30 minutes was resolved and we were seated.
Anna DW
Such a nice place for a special dinner! Went with my friend for her b-day and the staff was great, loved the lighting and the ambiance it created. A dress code is enforced which I really like you won't be over dressed! We both had the steak with the truffle butter and it was the best! Birthday anniversary or just feeling fancy this place is a yes!
Erica Pellicer
Went here 12/6/21 to celebrate my 35th birthday with my husband. We've been here several times in the past, but this is our first time in a couple of years. They were insanely busy for a Monday (not sure if it's always like that on Monday), but the maitre d' was very kind and wished me a happy birthday and offered us to wait at the bar when our table wasn't ready.
When we finally got sat at our table, our servers for the night, Jonas and one other male (didn't catch his name) made us feel very welcomed and special. They made conversation and even talked to us about kids (I am almost 7 months pregnant with our first), which I thought was a very sweet and personal touch.
Food was amazing as usual! No complaints there. I got the 2.5lb lobster, my husband got the 8oz filet, we had the crab cake (YUM) and shrimp cocktail to start, and black truffle parmesan fries and mac & cheese for sides. They even gave us two desserts, one for my birthday and one congratulatory one for us celebrating our future baby. We had a WONDERFUL dinner experience. I wish I could give that portion 5 stars.
I had to take one star away for the complete opposite experience we had at the bar while we were waiting for our table (though I wish I could give the bar service alone 1.5 stars). There were 3 bartenders that night, Bridget, one other female, and one male. Bridget and the other female bartender seemed to be servicing our end of the bar (we were sort of in the middle), so we waited for our natural turn for my husband to order a drink while I sat in the barstool. A few minutes had passed, and neither of them looked in our direction yet. I thought we were invisible due to our masks, so we took those off, and were still invisible! About 10 minutes had gone by without either of them acknowledging our presence, even though they were happily engaging with and serving the people directly next to us and down the bar. Finally, my husband was able to wave down Bridget, who looked really annoyed that we got her attention, and we lost her smile she was giving to everyone else. My husband asked if there was a whisky list, she said no, so he just ordered one he could see, and she obliged and made his drink and very hastily (almost) threw it on the counter. Like it was a major inconvenience that he ordered a drink. I really don't know her logic behind terrible customer service towards us. Not sure if it's because I'm pregnant so we wouldn't order as much? But my purse was hiding my tummy. Or (and I hope it's not this reason) was it because we were some of the only non-white people at the bar?? Because we were very clearly trying to order something, and definitely looked like we had the money to spend, so I'm not sure why we got unequal treatment. I was very disappointed, but I'm glad we had a great dinner to make up for the terrible customer service at the bar.
We will still come back here, but maybe just avoid waiting at the bar next time ;)

I was Looking forward to this dinner. It gave me mixed feelings. I made Rsvp but I was sat at the closets table to the door, made me feel a little disrespected.. silverware was filthy, asked for a whole new set. Then As soon as I sat down the guy was ready to take my order, made me feel really uneasy, I let my girl do the talking because I didnt want to be rude. Appetizers were EXCELLENT, drink is GREAT! But as I am Sitting down looking around, I seen a pile of dust on the wall and it’s really right next to me. Idk chops, get it together, the chefs and bartenders are really great. But need to get your staff on track! - food critic CT !
Nick Redmond
I always have a wonderful experience here. The service is unparalleled, and the food is always amazing.
Jayson Goldman
We took our son there to celebrate his blackbelt and birthday and expected everything short of a one Michelin star service and quality. To be sure the ambience is elegant, the food was exceptional and the service was friendly. However some attention to detail was overlooked (one steak was a bit overdone, the waiter while kind, wasn't particularly knowledgeable). In the past when I've been to high-end chophouses, they bring out the various cuts and explain things like marblization and other elements to help you decide your best cut and temperature. Here they charge $40 an ounce for Wagyu filets and nearly as much for lobster tails, which were certainly delicious, but the top notch service and attention to detail to justify the prices just wasn't there.
nicole D
Food was very good!
Lobster morsels (fabulous!)
Crabcake (crisp on the outside and softer on the inside)
Sea bass and Salmon entree
(Salmon wasn’t smothered in seasoning) but very tasty on the palette
Special salad
Fun bar / dim atmosphere. The crowd was mostly Caucasian with a small fraction of minorities. The music was upbeat jazz. Has an old school feel and aristocratic type of vibe. The dress code is very specific. Attire should be of the upper class. Nothing questionable must be worn. They have it posted on the doors prior to entry. Beware of what your wear.
We didn’t have any issues, but I see that some people have from their reviews.
Not the most romantic on a Thursday night, but it was nice lighting and the layout upstairs was good.
Waiters were very attentive and helpful
Bathrooms were clean and nearby
4 stars were given because the silverware was dirty. I feel that a upscale restaurant shouldn’t have dirty silverware. That’s just me.
Overall I would recommend for a group and a date!

Great service and atmosphere...food was good but not great

This is the “Cadillac” of reliable, excellent service and un comparable food.

Mathew and staff are awesome love the service. Phenomenal food as well.
wendy troutman
Everything was awesome and we had a great server!
CEDRIC NEEDHAM
We didn't look at prices and ordered 2 Kobe Filets 8 ounce steaks which came up to $544.00 and my total bill was $830.00. I was shocked! However it was my fault, I should have checked the prices. In any event, I've never had a steak that tender and delicious lol.
Vikki Olu
This Restaurant is awesome. Took my daughter there for her birthday and she had 100 words to describe the Restaurant. The food is delicious, amazing, excellent well seasoned. I don't eat spinach but their steak with spinach was 150/100. Well seasoned spinach.y'all have to go to experience what am talking about.
Tracy Sutherland
Delicious. Absolutely delicious! The service was great as well. This restaurant has service down to a science. The steak is excellent, cooked perfectly. The lobster was even better. However, if you enjoy lobster I would stray away from the fried version. The broiled is done so well that you won't regret it!

To be expected the best service appetizers food and wine and Cocktails

We came here for a birthday dinner on 7/31 and had reservations for 8:30. We arrived on time, however I was disappointed to find that our table wasn’t ready. We waited close to 20 minutes for a reservation which I find odd. Once we were finally seated, the waiter was great and made helpful recommendations. The atmosphere at chops was hectic. The people around us were extremely loud and we could barely have a conversation at our table without screaming it felt like. The food was good. Another issue I had is that I ordered my steak medium well because during my last visit, they undercooked my steak when I asked for medium and they gave me medium rare. This time i asked for medium well and they gave me medium rare again. It still tasted delicious, I’d just like my steak to be cooked to the temperature I originally asked for. Other than that, it’s a nice restaurant but for paying the amount that we did, it could be better.
Cody Nelson
This is consistently the best establishment in Atlanta. I visited for my birthday last night (as I do every year) and it was nothing short of spectacular. Antonio and Derek really made us feel special.
They were extremely generous and even comped us some appetizers and desert. Very much appreciated! We will be back as soon as possible.
The steak is always cooked to perfection and the fried lobster is the best I have found anywhere. We also got to try the calamari and a spicy BBQ style shrimp which were both so good. The crab cakes were amazing as well. Lastly, the creme brulee was like nothing I have ever had. All around incredible meal and top notch service.
Thanks again!
Mark Numa
The service was excellent as usual. We enjoyed our anniversary dinner.
Ginger Jones
I thought the service was outstanding. All the staff were exceptional. We thought the food was okay, but not anything to send us over the moon. We had the french onion soup, which was fantastic. The east coast oysters were great, but didn't like the west. Our steaks were good, but nothing spectacular. They forgot our asparagus. The fried lobster tail was okay, the broiled was better. Wish I could give a better review.
Savannah Robertson
Absolutely amazing dinner and service. I’ve eaten at numerous steakhouses in the city including Bones and Little Alley. Chops is right on par.
I loved the decor- dark wood that was modern without being stuffy. We made a reservation for an early dinner and it was a great choice. We were sat quickly, at a perfect booth with a full view of the dining room. Our waters were filled, Giuseppe went over the menu with us and we were left to make a few choices. The lobster bisque was amazing, some of the best I’ve had with a perfect richness with no fishy flavor. My boyfriend and I both ordered ribeyes; mine rare, his med-rare. Both were cooked perfectly. I topped mine with the blue cheese butter and it was amazing, without being overpowering. I made sure to save some for leftovers. The mashed potatoes were probably the very best.
They also brought out a chocolate mousse cake for my boyfriend’s birthday that was to die for. I don’t normally eat dessert but we both finished that slice quickly. Our dinner was never rushed, we never felt overwhelmed even though our waters were constantly filled, and we never needed anything at any point. Overall, highly recommend for the entire experience.

I’ve been coming to Chops for years and love it every time. The bread basket is to die for! And the service is amazing... we ordered the calamari for breakfast and a salad that was not on the menu with yellow beets and the Caesar. They were perfectly done. For main courses, everyone had a filet mignon which was perfectly well cooked to everyone’s liking and seasoned with that perfect char and a bunch of sides to charge: onion rings, brocollini, fries, baked potato, the corn and the mushrooms. No complaints. It was all perfect. The service was excellent as well. For those wondering have had the salmon before and it is super! Wish we had room for dessert but we didn’t this time.

When a restaurant has the quality such as this, there’s no need to rave too much, it truly speaks for itself, but I must still applaud the consistencies. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta, the lemon 🍋 drop martini 🍸 is always my go to drink and the food is exceptional in taste and presentation. The music/ambiance is so relaxing and of course the staff is impeccable with their knowledge of all menu items and their endless attention to your needs without you having to ask. Truly amazing in all areas and there’s no question I will always be back.
Becca Smith
The sirloin was out of this world incredible and worth every penny!

This place is amazing! Second time visiting and I’m definitely coming back. We had to make reservations for a Saturday evening maybe a month prior to. Our server Derek was helpful explaining the specials and other menu items down to the ingredients. He also let us know who would be assisting him. I ordered the filet it came to the table butterflied it was amazing it felt like butter melting in my mouth the temperature was great. My bf lamb was great we had a baked potato, creamed spinach on the side. The cream bruèe was just ok. Everything came out fast and at the right times, drinks were perfect! The ambiance was great too!

Great Restaurant and service ...Excellent food
Phil Kaplan
It's been to long, great service from Matt and the food is the best!
India Archie
I Loved the service More than the food! I had lamb chops that feed 2 people. Gouda Mac & cheese was okay. The lobster 🦞morsels were EVERYTHING. And my Chocolate Martini was amazing! …
Ignacio Rossani
Great steak and better lobster bisque! Business casual attire and above for this restaurant.
James Redmond
My wife and I have been coming here for years. The food is amazing and they serve some of the best steaks you can get in Atlanta. Unfortunately they no longer enforce any type of dress code or level of class. This used to be a nice place to have a nice dinner. Now you can show up wearing a sweat suit and slippers and still be seated. Very disappointing. I initially wanted to give only 3 stars but the steaks really are spectacular.
Steve_Kamrad
Great food that made for a really special evening.
Joy Hamilton
Five stars for food, service, and decor. We all had different steaks and they were cooked perfectly. The sides, especially the fried lobster a p, we're tremendous. The service was so good that when the bartender made my martini with a bit of a custom flourish the waiter noticed without me saying anything and replaced it. It was a great night!
Vickie Hill
Food GREAT!! Service GREAT!! Will I go back?? H ELL YEAH!!!
richard mann
Service a little slow. I don't think you should have to flag down waiters more than once when restaurant is not full to get refills, and check later. Food was excellent.
Kenyota Straughter
My experience was not all that I thought it would be the food was good but not great, I was looking for an experience and I left chops still looking for that experience. The waiter was excellent and he explained all of the specials and sides but the products that I received didn't match the reputation of chops as I was told that the food was amazing and I received far less than that to be honest and I wish it would have been a better experience for me but it was not sorry but I will not return here as I could have went to a mom and pop shop and had the same or even better experience. I dont normally have too many bad experiences but I had to voice this one.
Leah A
Our waiter Tyler was great, the team was detail-oriented, proactive, productive, polite and made sure we were doing well throughout the night. The food was perfect, couldn’t ask for more!
Q Schneider
The food is amazing! Ordered the 20oz ribeye which literally melted in your mouth. The sides were quite flavorful - creamed spinach, smoked Gouda and Mac and the Brussels sprouts. The food is definitely worth the price!!!
Tawanna Pearson
The best fried lobster in the world!! Great service and very nice atmosphere
Jack Hillman
Went for dinner with my in-laws for my birthday on a Sunday night, Moderate crowd, great atmosphere, food above average. My wife and I started with cocktails which came out quickly. I started with the spinach and mushroom salad. It came with bacon even though there was no mention in the menu. I sent it back and a new salad came right out without bacon. It was very good. I then had the chicken which was very good and tasty. It came with mashed potatoes and a few beans. Service was good, but waiter was not always within reach when we ready to order. Not cheap, but an impressive place with a very good atmosphere and made to impress any guest or client.
molly downs
We love Chops! We always have the best service and such friendly wait staff. The only complaint we have is to PLEEEEASE bring back the original tuna tartare that was on the menu before this new “healthier” version. It was SO much better and much more flavorful...🙏🏻🙏🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 …
Juro Sunde
All-around a great restaurant! Excellent quality steaks that are cooked the right way (at very high temperatures). I order steaks rare and most restaurants don’t put a good char on a rare steak. The crab cakes are delicious and wine list is reasonably priced for the quality. I’ve dined here several times and can’t remember ordering anything I wasn’t satisfied with including the desserts. The chocolate cake is perfect. The service here has also been consistently good.

Chops is an upscale steakhouse and lobster bar in the heart of Buckhead. They crowd that visits is definitely trendy. I went one evening to have dinner with a friend. Our waiter gave great suggestions on what to order. We ordered the carpaccio, fries, filet and macaroni. Everything was just ok. The carpaccio was a bit salty so I wouldn't order it again. I would still go back but try some different items. This place gets four stars for its ambiance. Its a nice vibe and afterwards we were able to walk to a few other bars in the area.
They do have valet so parking was easy. Nice spot for a date or a girls night.
ANDRE PANNELL
I ordered the seafood trio. The crab and salmon were beyond reproach. The lobster tail was over cooked to my dismay. Server was very patient and gave good recommendations. Truffle fries were mediocre at best which was a huge disappointment. Place is overrated and over priced. It is what it is. You live and you learn
Heidi P
Been going here for years but service has gone down and food as well. Very disappointed in lack.of good service but at least my steak came out Ok. Please update your bathrooms. I feel like I'm in the NYC subway and not an upscale steak house in Atlanta.

This restaurant is awesome. The food is delicious.
Ci Wa
Upscale, posh, fine dinning; whatever you want to call it. The steak was good but very expensive. I was a little disappointed that dinner was $140 for steak, lobster tail & a side. Worst this place didn't serve tea!!!!😡. Who does that! The restaurant was a little loud which made it hard to hear the waiter. This place has a dress code but it appears to be selectively enforced. It's fine for dinner, but just the one time. Also it was a little dark inside, nothing aesthetically pleasing to look at. Also our table was a little lopsided.
Jesus-Daniel Gutierrez (JD)
Nice looking and highly appealing. Well located in a side section of Buckhead and easily accessible by walking from The Shops and nearby areas. They valet but gets busy weekend nights. The food from my experience was good but not outstanding which I would expect from this place. The attention is hit and miss. Ours was mostly good. Our bartender and assistant servers were great but our server seemed to be more dedicated to larger parties than the 3 of us. Overall is a see and be seeing kind of place. I would return for a biz dinner $$$$$
Stacey Nduati
Brought my boyfriend here for his birthday with a reservation downstairs. We were seated immediately. He had the bone-in ribeye and I had the lamb chops. Both were EXCELLENT and perfectly cooked. The portion sizes were also big. We got a side of the potato mash and brussel sprouts. Dessert was banana pudding and dessert wines. Everything was exceptional. Service was also on-par. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.
Charles Odhomi
The service was great, from the valet service before you walk in, to the service while you're seated. The food, however, was sub-par to the service. If I had to give rating based on the food alone, I would have given it a 3. The meat was super tough, the lobster Mac and cheese was grainy and not seasoned well. It looked like they just threw pieces of lobster on it, without a care. The lobster was not seasoned well and tougher than expected. They ran out of certain things. It was probably one of the worst $300 I've spent at a restaurant. Capital grille and fogo de Chao have better steaks and food, in general, and cost less.
T Tipton
Food an service was amazing this was my 1st time there
Shaun Benford-Crump
Chops Lobster Bar is fine dining at its best! Excellent service... they make you feel comfortable. The food is very good! However, on this visit, my mom felt that the waiter didn't listen... she asked for a cup of bisque and got a bowl and the bisque was under par. This being our only 'complaint' is why I've given 4 stars instead of 5.
Still, we'll be back!
Eric Pankey
Great food. It was good to get out after spending so much time unable to be around people. Covid lock down was no fun.
Fadi Malouf
Staff is amazing! Food is great! Drinks are on point! Better filet mignon would give it a five star. Chops and lobster bar is iconic for Buckhead and I highly recommend it.
David Chen
When you first walk in there is a strong smell of seafood... but not in a good way, it does not smell fresh. We ordered the seafood tower to start; it was pretty good, but not the best I’ve had. Other restaurants around town offer a larger portion and fresher selection. The sea bass was pretty good, but not unique.
With the large number of seafood offerings in town, I would not put this towards the top. The ambiance and the food are both just mediocre.

I booked a dinner appointment 3+ weeks in advice. It was a party of 3 and we could not get a table earlier, but due to the reviews I looked at I thought that we love to eat here. I would have given a 5 star, but for one thing. The bar tenders and servers were excellent. I requested a booth or quiet table. But we ended being sat at the first table opposite the bar, very busy and load. I Immediately complained about this and the response I got was that 'someone' has to seat here why because I was black or not a regular guest? I was surprised to learn that this person was the manager Asikul Mallick or "Ice" as they referred to him. After going back to the hostess table to complain, my party was sat at the bar for about 30 minutes while we waited for another table. The second table we were provided was excellent! And Matthew our server was too. But surprised that the manager never came to check on us. Plus at the end of our meal I need to get my valet ticket validated Mr. Mallick saw me standing at the hostess table and turned around....Matthew validated my ticket. I shall be back at the restaurant and hope that the manager will be off that day. As stated everything else was perfect, but the manager's attitude left a bad taste in my experience.
Stevanni Duncan
Wow wow wow. Could not ask for better service, decor or food. And the red velvet cake was the best I ever had.
Marjorie Betti
The service was amazing and superb! I definitely recommend this restaurant. We had the steak and lobster and the porterhouse experience, which both were absolutely delicious! Best steaks I have ever had. Their attention was great and the ambiance was great as well. It is perfect for special occasions or when you are the mood for a date night.
Shakeela A. Schramm
Our waiter, A.J. made me Bananas Foster for our anniversary dessert!! It's not even on the menu, but he made it happen because it's my favorite, and it was amazing! And he did it with a huge smile!! The service was great, and the food was incredible. We don't get to come here often, but it definitely goes to the top of our list when we need to celebrate a special occasion and the last visit proved it's worth it.
John Hibbard
Chops is an impressive place. Excellent service throughout. We went there for our anniversary last week.
Excellent drinks - the smokey Manhattan is wonderful. We split each item we got : salad, entree and side. We had the spinach salad with warm bacon dressing. And we had the porterhouse steak for 2. Side was Brussels sprouts and mushrooms. All excellent. Would get them all over again.
It's pricey but well worth it.
R Trice
Lobster crabcake was absolutely delicious!! Salmon was seasoned and delicious!!
Ben Morgan
Had the apple pie old fashioned, black diamond New York strip, appetizers, sides, and the white chocolate banana cream pie. The service and the food was great.
Alexis DuBose
Awesome food! Delicious every step of the way & great service to match. Top tier for sure, this was an amazing choice for date night. Thanks Tom!
Kyle Jones
I write this while I'm sitting at my table, just paid for my girlfriend and I to have our 2 year anniversary dinner. Not sure what I expected when I reserved the table initially, but whatever expectations or intuition I had was completely wiped away the moment I walked in. The staff? Impeccable. (Especially Craig, seriously the best guy in the whole world!) Breathtaking. The music, the smells, everything about this place is absolutely wonderful. Definetly going to come back, time and time again. Keep it up chops!
Nyshia Loving
Although the service here is hit or miss, the food is consistently delicious. I went twice in one week, and had totally different service experiences. The first night, the wait staff was knowledgeable, outgoing, and went out of their way to ensure we were happy. When we went back three days later (because our overall experience was so great the first night), the wait staff couldn't answer basic questions, brought us out cold food, and later brought us out the wrong order without apologizing for it. The manager didn't even come over to discuss the errors. Based on the second experience, it may be a long time before we go back to Chops.
Mark
Went for lunch. Wife and I are on the Keto diet and they were very accommodating. The steaks were absolutely perfect and the side vegetables were delicious. The waiter was right on point. Just attentive enough to keep you taken care of but not so much as to be cloying. As a matter of fact, he was so pleasant that we engaged him in conversation! We've been here several times and it has been great every time!
Annastasia Miller
Amazing service all the way around it was my first time in Atlanta and they definitely surprised me with how good their ribeye was. I am a sucker for ocean prime but I will definitely be back here. Only negative was the lobster bisque. it was definitely subpar and too creamy
space seven
OMG so this was my first time at this place and lets start with the exquisite atmosphere and round the clock service, if anyone was having a bad day you couldn't tell. The food was nothing short of amazing and the setting was so intimate and mood striking and of course we got seating with an excellent view. The prices were a bit high bit definitely worth every penny. If you want to treat yourself and your loved one. I suggest come here for dinner and cocktails 🥃🍸🥐🥖🍞🥩
Wren Williams
Service was a bit slow at first. We were seated with reservation and given menus. But we held on to those menus through our appetizer with absolutely no space on the table. If you've been you know they're pretty sizable, thick menu books. So 6 of us were trying where to figure out where to put them while waiting for the waiter to come back. Otherwise, food was great. Crab cakes were delicious and the sea bass and salmon was outstanding with a nice Chinese flair to the dish in flavor. The waiter and other staff was very pleasant. Would definitely go back but try to get rid of our menus sooner lol.

Service was spot on, Kevin is amazing and attentive. It was nice to enjoy a dinner at a high end restaurant that concentrates more on the flavor than outlandish plating. My wife had the 6oz Kobe and I had the 12oz bone in filet with white truffle butter, we shared the lobster mashed potatoes. Simply amazing dishes that were a delight to eat. No rush on service, relaxing atmosphere. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
Katrina “Trina” S.
Chose this place for a surprise birthday dinner and WOW, I am patiently waiting until I can get back to Atlanta to get one of those steaks with a great wine pairing. The steak was tender and cooked to perfection, the waitresses made sure my glass stayed full, everyone was so hospitable and the atmosphere was perfect. They are on the pricey side but it was worth every penny.
Amy P. Wettrau
Came here for my father's birthday dinner. My parents love this place and it was good for me as well. Flavorful food and great service. Would definitely recommend and I will come here again to give it a second chance. Complaints were: 1 It was a little slow, but I could tell our server had a lot of tables so it wasn't really his fault; he did apologize though which I appreciate. 2 The cocktails were just alright, couldn't quite get the right ratio for liquor to mixers, even after we said something about it to the bartender. 3 I ordered a medium filet and it came out med-well and charred/crunchy on the outside; still a fantastic cut of meat so I was okay with eating it. 4 Vegetables came out cold, my mother and I jokingly stacked them on top of the fancy candle (to warm to butter) and no on noticed or offered to reheat them. Excellent desserts and wine listings!

I simply can’t say enough positive things about Chops!! Great place in Atlanta, GA on 70 West Paces Ferry Road NW. The Nova Scotia Lobster Morsels taste amazing, they really are perfect for sharing. Really enjoyed my Chop’s Caeser Salad, it was fresh. I liked the anchovies. The Porterhouse steak was absolutely mouth watering. The smell of it literally could make your mouth water, the taste was just amazing. It was cooked perfectly just as requested. Our waiter Chris was very attentive and friendly, he’s a great waiter. He earned a nice tip.
Chops is highly recommended!
Tahir Taherbhai
Eight of us went to this restaurant last night and as expected it was quite busy. The air conditioning was working below par and we were really hot. After requesting the management it became bearable. I do not know if they were short handed but our server was not only all over the place but was even rude. For such a high end place you want your server to give you his or her undivided attention. The food was good but nothing to rave about. It was definitely not worth the money
Stan McCoy
Classic and upscale dining! My steak was delicious and perfectly cooked. Service was attentive without being too available. I thoroughly enjoyed the evening with my pals and look forward to dining here again.
Chan's Tunes Johnson
This restaurant is A class from the moment you step out of your car. I received VIP service from every staff member I engaged with. The drinks were superb. I ordered the seafood trio & nearly lost my mind! I cannot wait to go back. I am happy to pay the prices for the excellent food & service I received.
Leith Hendryx
Absolutely amazing!!!! I was here for my birthday. OMG the server Earl was accommodating and an amazing server. Love how he made each of his customers feel welcomed and special. I will most definitely be back. GREAT FOOD AND OUTSTANDING SERVICE!!
Did I say GRRREEEAATTT FOOD LOL..
Let me say that again. Great food. Ambiance was fantastic!
ANTHONY ALBURY
Mother's Day disaster turned into the single most act of kindness and exceeding customer's expectations that I have ever experienced! Even as I type this message I still can't believe it! We ordered curbside on Mother's Day and the wait time for our food was nearly two hours. 2 days later I noticed there was a credit in our account for the entire cost of the meal and the tip. INCREDIBLE!!!! That's not all! I than received a personal phone call from the General Manager, Kevin to apologize for everything!!! CHOPS LOBSTER BAR made a decision to put their customers before their money!!! #VERYIMPRESSIVE
Daphne Lee
Had the most amazing evening at the bar on Saturday! The west coast oysters were beyond AMAZING and the bartenders were so incredibly attentive. Will definitely be back soon!
John Durajczyk
I've never given 5 stars to anyone, we found the exception. Kevin and Aydin served us beautifully, staff greeted us with happy anniversary wishes. French onion soup was outstanding. Featured salad was gorgeous and delicious. The bone in ribeye for two was phenomenal and done to perfection. Even brought us a dark, triple chocolate mousse to share. Valet parking waiting under needed heat lamps. Best dinner in a long time. Thanks for making our anniversary dinner memorable. And it was a great table, till the table of six with Mrs. Loudmouth disturbed the peace.. Not Chops fault, think it was the two dirty martinis.
Missy Gunshy007
Everything was perfect. Last minute choice but definitely the right one!
Isabelle Aguilar
I had heard so much about this restaurant, so my expectations were high. The food was good, but I thought the porter house steak was salty. My husband had the lobster bisque and for $27 we were expecting something extra special, but it was just a run of the mill bisque. The highlight of the meal was my tiger shrimp appetizer. The creamy citrus sauce with the shrimp was to die for. Both of our entrees were very tasty, but a little salty. The service was very good, especially the server assistant, who was very friendly. All in all, it was a good meal, but it seemed overpriced for what we had. There are other restaurants in Atlanta with better food at this same price point.
Ms_Robin B.
IDKY I'm just writing this view but this has become another one of my favorites dining spots. I came for my Birthday and the service was everything and then some. Great SPECTACULAR service. The Atmosphere was great...Romantic/special occasion setting.. From the waiters, to the bread to the Best Fried Lobster I every had!!!! Cooked perfectly. I think I will make this a traditional birthday spot until I find better lol
Terrie Redmond
Always have a great experience here! Ate Friday night, service was very good and attentive, as always. Steaks were excellent (my husband got the bone-in ribeye and I got the bone-in filet) as expected. My husband joked that he wanted to pick up the bone and gnaw on it! The lobster mashed potatoes and the creamed spinach were AMAZING to the point that I took home the left-overs for ONE LAST bite of the spinach - it was just as good for round two!
Also, pricey as always, but for us it's worth it if you want consistently great food and service.
Keith Raziano
Always a consistent 5 star experience. The food is excellent the staff ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Chops truly has no peer in the Atlanta restaurant market. Consistently the best.
Chris X. Moloney
We recently had a fabulous meal here. The steaks and sides were outstanding and perfectly prepared. The environment is formal, but not stuffy. The service is attentive and friendly. This is an excellent steak house and the prices are as expected. Great wine list. Great for friends, family (adults), or business dinners. I recommend the Filet or New York Strip. Take your time and enjoy a true steak institution.
Lakeisha Brown
The ambiance and service is spectacular👌 🙌 ... the food though, it's just MEH 🥱 nothing different or special.
Kim H
Dinner was nice and the staff was friendly but I admit that I wasn't wowed on this trip. I've come to Chops on a few other rare occasions and remember being blown away by the service, the food and the overall experience of fine dining. It has been 2 - 3 years since my last visit and my expectation was to have those same feelings but I left with feeling like in was a good dinner but not the amazing food and overall experience I've had before. I think there were a few factors like having to send my medium rare bone in filet back because it was over cooked. I would have NEVER expected that. Granted, they made me another steak and it was good and they sincerely offered their apology but I didn't feel it was necessary that the manager or head waiter or whoever it was to come to the table to show me what medium rare is and ask if I was sure that's what I wanted. At 42 years old, I'm pretty sure I've decided how I like my steak by now and what that means. I do not think I need an education. And if the gentleman had told me "that was your steak we showed you" then there would still be an issue because that was actually my partner's steak who ordered medium and hers was over cooked so I gave her my "medium rare" steak and we sent her medium well steak back. Either way. I wanted a nice dinner, not to feel spoken down to to "make sure the little lady knows what she's asking for". I think that part of our evening took away from the overall experience that I was really looking forward to on our special night out without the kids at a fine dining establishment.
Samantha Brown
Amazing seafood and steak. Great place for special occasions.
Leola Albert
I needed a reservation for 10 for my partners 50th birthday celebration, Although the Lobster Bar only holds a party of 7, I received the accommodations of a another table side by side. This arrangement was not promised but the Manager Asikul Mallick made it happen. Thank you Asikul, the food was awesome as usual!
jb boozer
I was picking up an order for a private client, had the oyster sampler while waiting, just incredible...I grew up near Apalachicola Florida where we enjoy $1-$5 dozen raw oysters my whole life, this is the real deal, fresh flown in from east and west coasts.
West coast tastes like the Pacific ocean.
East coast tastes like an inshore bay.
Perfection!
Trey M
One of the freshest and juiciest surf n turf due South of the Mason-dixon line! The atmosphere is suitable for a nice romantic evening for two as well as a comfortable for family meal together. Everything was great and the only way it would have been even better is if it were able to have been on a sailboat during a sunset.
Excellent service and very friendly and welcoming staff! Definitely recommend and will return for years to come! 😁
Kina Singleton
Went for our anniversary dinner and it was a wonderful experience. The staff was beyond wonderful and food exceeded our expectations. A great date night restaurant, will definitely be returning for many more events.
Living Life “BIG BOSS A.K.A DIVA CHICK” With Queen
I’ve been an Atlanta native all my life but tonight was my first experience at Chops, from the moment i walked in the door the hospitality was 1000%! My waiter KEVIN was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met in my life! He recommended extremely great entrees & made sure i had everything i needed to make my experience perfect! This place is definitely a hidden gem in Atlanta! Everybody should experience Chops & most of all KEVIN! 🖤🖤
The Contract Slayer
Excellent top-notch service. I had the NY strip...it was average. It wasnt the most tender and I had quite a bit of grizzle. I have been here many times so I am going to chalk this up to a fluke. My husband and our dinner guest had the rib eye special and both raved it was wonderful. His wife had the Salmon and she enjoyed it as well.
Kacie Acie
My husband and I went for our two year anniversary and it was Amazing! Everything was perfect and tasted great. We will definitely return soon and I recommend this place to anyone. I order the chicken and my husband had the lamb but because we wanted to taste each others we shared since we had two a piece and we still needed a to go box lol.
Kayla Rose
Traditional dark wood decor. Calamari and tuna tartar apps were average as was the Caesar salad. The bread basket and Lobster Bisque were amazing as was the Ribeye and Whole Lobster. Asparagus side was perfectly steamed. We had two servers that were polite and prompt. Water glass was never more than 1/2 empty. The banana cream pie was huge and the perfect ending to a delicious dinner. Pricey but worth it. Can't wait to visit again.
Aristides Ioannides
You may know about the amazing stakes at Chops but if you have not been down to the Lobster Bar you are missing a jewel. Fashioned after famous NYC eateries, the Lobster Bar has amazing food. Highlights include the deep fried lobster tail, oysters and eve stakes from Chops. Service is always good.
Shenika Jones
The service and food was wonderful. My steak was seasoned and cooked so well that I didn't need any steak sauce. My friends and I had a great time. We will be back soon.
Donald Simmons
I took my wife here for our anniversary. The food, service and decor are all great. Its very upscale, so make sure your pockets run deep. The only reason I didn't give them a full 5 star rating was due to my disappointment with the flatware and dinnerware. They need an upgrade, felt very cheap compared to the rest of the experience.
Anthony Mathis
It should rank as one of the best places in Atlanta for steak.
jamal buster
Amazing atmosphere, excellent service that's not intrusive, and the best steak I've ever had. 12 oz dry age filet-you don't need a knife...need I say more. 2 bucks for valet parking in Buckhead.
Albin Blomkvest
Excellent lunch !! Lobster BLT with a sweet tea.
David Marks
Ambiance, Service, Food. Beautiful dining. The wood work is amazing. My date always trade seats just before the entre to exchange views. Service is outstanding. The food...I've tried the crab cakes...done w crab cakes for a while. Can't wait for next time - going to dine down stairs at the lobster bar.
Austin McKenzie
The staff was nice, the prices were as to be expected, the sides and appetizers were amazing! But there were two main points that failed. The drinks were not mixed well, I had 3. The white Russian was more of a vodka milkshake - Although I appreciate a heavy hand on my drinks, I came for a tasting experience and this was more of a college bar type of mix. Same went for the long island. The third drink was called a peach tree peach.. it was much better than the others.
The most disappointing thing after all of the foods we tasted was not the rubber with raisins (raisin bread), It was the highly salted piece of over cooked cardboard they served me as a NY strip. I didn't eat half of it. I ordered it medium and it came charred.
We were with a group and I didnt want to waste time sending it back.
That being said, we tasted and tried all of the following and were happy with them. The spinach dish was amazing. It was a lot like a spinach artichoke dish, but good to taste a little. The asparagus was cooked perfectly! Sauteed mushrooms were also perfect. Crab cakes were decent, resembled a bit of a creamy tuna cake... all of the mixings were good but it was still lacking a little something that said crab. lobster tail both fried and grilled was wonderful! The mac and cheese was shockingly delicious! Calamari was great with a interesting twist, it was like a tempura batter with a sweet pepper sauce, very nice.
Overall I would have given this a higher rating but the two staples were failed. The steak I had been looking forward to was such a disappointment I believe it ended my appetite to return.
Justin Czerniawski, PhD
The service is phenomenal. Very attentive. I got the peppercorn filet. It was good, pretty peppery. I may have preferred the normal steak though. My wife had the seafood trio. The crab cake shined. The sides were ok but really nothing special. We got the mac and cheese and the carrots. Drinks are expensive but good and smooth. You're going to pay a good bit but it's a treat. Worth trying and seeing what it does for you.
Update: our recent trip was absolutely phenomenal. I had the halibut special and my wife had the filet with the truffle butter. Both were perfect. We had the onion rings and brussle sprouts with mushrooms. The onion rings were ok but I really loved the brussle sprouts and mushrooms. I had the desert flower to drink and my wife had the brown derby. Good, strong drinks. Chops has really stepped up and become our favorite Buckhead Life restaurant.

Great old school steakhouse with top notch service and food
Ilya Khanimov
Ribeye was not so good at all. Couldn't even chew it. Was embarrassed every time i had to put in the napkin. Kobe steak was absolutely amazing for 35/oz. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars because of kobe filet. Otherwise it would be a solid 1 star. I can name several places that have a WAY BETTER!!! ribeye than chops. And they keep it consistent, was never disappointed. Salmon plate was not that bad either. Will definitely come back but only for Kobe filet.

Excellent seafood pricy but well worth it.
Quintus Fabius Maximus Verrucosus
Food: marvelous. Stakes are as good, if not better, than what I had at Bone's.
Bread pudding is also my gf's Favorite dessert.
service: warm and nice. The waiter can read my mind.
price: reasonable
atmosphere: very fancy and a little bit formal than Bone's.

I have been to the Lobster Bar/Chops a few times but tonight was a different experience. One the staff was cleaning the table for the next guest ,dropped the napkin on the floor and processed to wipe the water glasses with the napkin. I would have NEVER expected this from this caliber of restaurant. My service was excellent as always but it makes me suspicious.

The seafood is outstanding, as you would expect the lobster is fantastic. The Lobster bisque is delicious too. They have great steaks and sumptuous desserts as well.
Marc Herrick
Good food, not great. Good service, not great. Dining room AC not working well, so quite uncomfortable. Deserts were excellent. Overrated for the cost.

Yesterday was my husband and my 10th year Anniversary. The Lobster bar is where he proposed. It was great returning back to where it all started. They even seated us at the very table we got engaged at. The food was great as usual and they sent over a celebratory dessert. Thanks Lobster Bar.
Kimberly Green
Celebrating our 24th Anniversary. Everything was AMAZING! From the food to the wait staff absolutely a 10 being the best! Recommended reservations and make them within a week or more of date. You won't be disappointed!

Food was fantastic. Best crab cake and lamb chop i ever had in a restaurant. However, service was horrible. This place is filled with a bunch of older male waiters who have no people skills. Our waiter got one of the checks wrong and tried to take the other one out my friend's hand. she said she wanted to review it and he reached for it again. when he brought her the the corrected check back, it was a duplicate of mines! He still got it wrong. None of the waiters said "excuse me", "be careful the plate is hot", or anything like that throughout the night. It's really fortunate that the food is great but the service is hideous.
i'd go back because of the great food and now I know what to expect as far as service.
Conan Higgins
The bar upstairs is top shelf! Then dinner downstairs had a cool vibe of being underground. Please try the black truffle butter on any steak you order. It's AMAZING.
Vivienne Smith
I gave this restaurant 5 stars because the food was really good I had the seafood trio but most of all Stephanie was wonderful she made me a chocolate drink and it's to die for I absolutely loved it. I will definitely be back and I am definitely going to request her. She was wonderful and patient. We need to people like her.

Order the chopped salad for lunch. Thank me later. Chops has been a staple in Atlanta for restaurants since the mid-80s. It will not disappoint. Our family loves going to Chops for birthdays anniversaries retirement parties even bachelor parties. You can reserve a great private dining room downstairs in the lobster bar but you're going to need to call ahead. Chops and lobster bar is my absolute favorite most memorable restaurant in Atlanta. You will not be disappointed at all. Thank you chops for being the best place to celebrate big events in our family's life.
K M
A disturbingly grotesque incident occurred with a dish that I do not wish to disclose; due to the professional and apologetic response of both the staff and the manager. 5 stars for the way they handled the situation. The drinks were a bit watered down. The temperature of the food could have been hotter. The crab cakes have always been the best, but unfortunately I couldn’t eat mine this time. Great atmosphere though.
Ms Kenjdra Nicole
Delicious, decadent, rich food paired with great wine and a romantic ambiance. Prices were worth it. Ladies we stay on point & dress to impress. Men just be sure to wear a collard shirt! Surprise bday Celebration for Mr. He enjoyed himself & the food too!!!
Venita Johnson
I love this place. Even though I live in California whenever I can get to Atlanta I made sure to stop in here. The food and service are excellent! Whenever I go everybody from the management to all the servers are all very nice and friendly, they make you feel like you belong there. Next time I am in Atlanta I will return ~

The chops house cesar salad.
The fried lobster.
The lamb charred medium.
The broccoli.
The mased potatoes.
The peach cocktail x3.
The rum rasin bread pudding.....well, as it stands it was all absolutely amazing and made my soul sing for Joy. I am so happy and grateful to continue my dining journeys here in Buckhead. Thank you for making my entire month Special 💓.

We visited Chops this weekend with a few other couples. The service is awesome however the food is not impressive. The Calamari fried lobster tail appetizers werre awesome however all six of our steaks/lamb chops were overcooked and lacked high end steakhouse taste. The side of Mac & Cheese was very bland and more on the creamy side than cheesy side. We have been here several times with the same experience and will not visit again. We will stick to our number one Atlanta steakhouse which us right around the corner, The Capital Grille. Much better food!
Adam Softy
Absolutely the best restaurant I have ever eaten at. If you want first class food and service then come to Chops. I ate the A-5 Wagyu fillet and it is the best steak available at any restaurant. Every course is prepared exquisitely and to perfection.
When eating here, ask for Dan. Dan is top notch in his service and will ensure you are satisfied. He made the experience for my wife and I and we are eternally grateful.
Come to Chops if you want a slice of heaven.
Arnolds Custom Cabinets
Awesome food! The deep fried lobster was excellent along with my oysters and rib eye for two. Anniversary dinner date was perfect, will definitely be back.

Chop still remains hands down my favorite restaurant in Atlanta. I know years ago I wrote a sorta bad review because valet lost my car keys & we took raggedy limo home. It was my birthday & I wanted to go out and enjoy myself after dinner & couldn’t. But, it was not Chops the restaurant fault. Anyway, my son’s & I celebrated our birthdays there on the 20th. Man oh , man oh ,man was it too freakin good. Omg , Good service & above excellent food. I want to go now. Lol. We are in Nashville so can’t. The crab cake are to die for. Omg , so freakin good. Lol. 12/4 21. Still hands down my favorite restaurant. Dott is our last name.
Marcus Oh
The food was pretty good, but the Atlas bar upstairs has a wonderful selection of bourbon. If you've read any of my reviews about steaks, you'll know this isn't going to beat out my all time favorite - - but the ribeye was really good.
By the way, in the back of the resultant, past the kitchen, is a kind of speakeasy. You have to knock on the door to get in. Be warned, they allow smoking back there. The pianist can attest to that.
Rachel Albanese
The food and service was good, but this did not make it to my top 5 of favorite restaurants in Atlanta. I do have to say I do prefer Rays In The City, Marcel, Umi! But the staff was friendly, and the food was nice.
Asia Latoya
Very elated with our service tonight. Kevin was amazing ! I choose what he recommended and I wasn’t disappointed. The entire staff was very friendly and the hospitality was wonderful. Not to mention the food was spectacular. 10/10 job well done. Thank you also to Asikul who accommodated us on tonight’s visit. Literally the best service I’ve ever received.
Michael Palmer
We recently had an opportunity to eat at the the Chops & Lobster Bar on September 14. We made a last minute reservation with Markus who was able to seat us at the seafood bar. That was the best they could do. Little did he know that we enjoy watching all the activity. The food was fantastic, we had both steak and seafood as well as excellent drinks and conversation with the bar tenders Festus and Devon who treated their job as if it was a profession. The attention to detail in the fabrication of the drinks as well as the first class service we received throughout dinner went a long way in easing the tension we were facing due to a missed connection flight for our belated honeymoon vacation. Thanks so much Festus and Devon for making our stay in Atlanta fantastic. The place was hopping and yet you both worked without frustration minding the bar and all the customers in front of you. The meal and company were a true delight.
Maryann Moody
Amazing experience! The staff is very attentive and friendly. The food was AMAZING, I absolutely loved the fried lobster morsels!
Kirstin Scrudato
We had a wonderful experience here. The food was outstanding and the service was exceptional. The lobster bites appetizer was one of the best I have ever had. The crab cakes were amazing as well. Loved our meal here.
Corney Crumbley
Service was great. Restaurant was a little warm though but they said it was temporary issue. Like I said service was A1 you will not be disappointed the drinks were also a huge hit.

Come here often with one of my friends. We get a gift card prior to coming which comes with a 20% bonus.
Ribeye steak we got was cooked to a perfect medium rare. Nice crust and very flavorful.
Seafood trio was also good. Comes with a crab cake, lobster tail, and salmon. Salmon was just 'ok'. Crab cake was almost all crab and reminded me of something from Maryland (not as good but it's GA). The lobster tail, I thought, would be fried but it wasn't. Still nice size and tasty.
For sides we only got mashed potatoes which weren't bad. I've had the Mac and cheese in the past and wasn't impressed so didn't opt for it this last visit.
Great service of course.
Richard Pickering
Chops never disappoints when it comes to Quality steaks. One of my favorite eateries in the entire nation. Rivals some of the best steakhouses in New York City and Chicago. A definite must visit if you're from out of town. And if you're local, treat yourself to a special night by all means!
Sara Morrison
BEST SERVICE EVER! We ate downstairs at the lobster bar. Our bartender Mike was the most attentive and knowledgable server I've ever had! Menu is pricey but worth EVER penny. I highly recommend starting with the fried lobster tail....knock your socks off amazing!
phillip willis
great lobster - great steaks- great wine. We had a lobster - crab - steak - feast that was good to the last bite.
Their service was good (not perfect). However considering the restaurant was fully booked the waiters did their best.
Joya Wah
Excellent Experience!! Was seated immediately upon arrival. Staff was attentive and service was fast. We had steaks and everything was so delicious. It was my visit but definitely will not be the last.
Vicky Travet
This was my 1st time coming here and it didn't disappoint! The service was excellent, thank you Tyler. And the food was fantastic. Looking forward to another visit!
Armando antonio Rojas
Best place steak house
Really tasty steaks and sides
I love it
Exclusive restaurant and very formal and fancy dining
Arveeta Turner
Excellent! Great ambiance and service!

Wonderful food. Earl was phenomenal. Wonderful service!
Kalyn N
We went for a midweek date night and really enjoyed ourselves. The food and services were both amazing and there are many options on the menu. We sat upstairs and it was very busy so we had to wait for our table for over 30min despite having reservations.
MARQUITA SEYMOUR
Exquisite! Staff pleasant Food delish!.. I made reservations through open table for 9pm to kickoff my husbands birthday celebration. I ordered porterhouse lamb chops and he ordered ribeye my temp was medium his medium well. Anyone who eats steaks should know well done is not recommended. We had gouda mac n cheese and asparagus. The asparagus was very bitter and I would not order that again but everything else was mouth watering. Dont be like us and eat all the yummy bread with your appetizer. Leave room for the main course and dessert. He jad the complementary chocolate mousse cake and i had the white chocolate banana cream pie. After racking up a $250 bill we left for home to sleep. 😆. Oh drinks! We dont so you're on your own in that dept. The water was refreshing. Remember that valet parking is only 2 bux but gratuity is not included. So give them at least 5 bux. So being cash. Enjoy. Until the next review. Feisty Out

We usually travel for our anniversaries but just came back the week prior so decided to stay in town. Have heard such great things about this place. The food was excellent. One of their signature dishes is the peoper crusted steak, which was good but my wife ordered the veal rib chop......OMG....this is what they should be pushing...lol. Service was great and food came out in a timely manner and was served hot. Only 4 stars because the bathrooms really need servicing. Not that they were dirty but so old that it looked dirty. Chaulking needs removed and reapplied and same with the grout.

Our Tallahassee crew of eight made the trip to Atlanta just for an evening at Chops. Exceeded all expectations from the moment we walked in the door. Amazing service .. amazing bar & amazing food! A special tip o' the cap to Kevin Brown who made the event very special! Chops is a celebration of fine and fun dining!
Gregory Bennett
Service and food was awesome!!! But the leftovers didnt taste as well. Next time when I go, what I dont eat, will stay. But if you're looking for a great ambience, service, and well prepared food, please attend Chops.
Evan Flading
We sat and ate at the bar. Andrew was our bartender. He made wonderful drink and food suggestions and made the best old fashion I've ever had!
Keya U
What a lovely and Very romantic resturant. I was brought here for my birthday and had an amazing time.
The only thing I would complain about is the sides. They had no seasoning. I was looking forward to the lobster mac and cheese. There was a lot of lobster chunks but sadly didn't even taste like mac and cheese. The broccolini didn't taste like anything either.
... but they gave me cake for my bday! 😁
Austin Norman
I had high expectations for its steak going into this place, but the NY strip I ordered was average. Very disappointed. The tuna tartare was great as a appetizer and my wife's 8oz filet was great. Honestly, I can make a better NY strip at home for $30 cheaper
Nafarat MiyaMiya
5 star experience, my server Tom was very attentive and had excellent suggestions. The steak was really tender & the lobster tail was quite tasty. I highly recommend this place. It is pricey but if you come here on occasions it’s worthwhile
S Basnight
One of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. Great decor. Top notch service. Food is outstanding. Would suggest that you order the seafood platter so you get to taste a wide variety of items. Would also recommend that you order a cocktail as well. The martinis are awesome! I love this place and can't wait to return in the future.
Ryan Ellis
Both The Lobster Bar and Chop's never disappoint. I've never had a bad meal here and I am confident their bone-in filet beats any other steak in the city. Fried lobster tail is mandatory. Banana cream pie amongst best desserts in the land.
Prophetess Cassie Davis Linen
It was one of the most epic experiences we ever had! I took my fiance for his birthday and he and his mom simply enjoyed it! I definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone and I look forward to visiting again!
Sunshine Overo
Great food and place. Our waiter was really friendly and helpful. Environment was clean. Had the Salmon and rice. It was good and had good flavor. Highly recommended.

Was visiting the ATL from Los Angeles this date last year was excited to go my brother said the food was incredible but could not get in due to attire (brother had on a tshirt) first time ever not being able to get into a restaurant (coming from LA not use to that at all but intrigued) due to attire was recommended to go upstairs and could dine at the bar at sister restaurant. Thank you had the best time ever. Met great people the staff was fantastic very helpful and accommodating. The food was fantastic. The only thing to say negative is that my wife informed me that if I EVER spend that kind of money hanging out with my brother at one restaurant again she will kill me. lol
Maggie Worku
Love dining here. Whether it’s for special occasions, date nights or simply hanging out with friends. Great wine selection! Some of my fav dishes are the calamari appetizer, the tuna tartar and of course the ribeyes!
Rick Bond
The wine is ridiculously overpriced. I understand that there is mark-up and have no problem paying $120 for a bottle of wine understanding what I am buying. This place sees no problem marking up their wine 5 and 6 times retail. Steaks and service were good but there are lots of other good steak houses in Atlanta
Liah P. Jones
I was delightfully surprised by this steakhouse. It's very loud, bustling upon entering, so if you're looking for a quiet dinner, best to change your expectations. As soon as you're seated, the entire waitstaff is very attentive and timely. The appetizers (had the foie gras - very tasty) came out quickly. Try the Wagyu New York strip with truffle butter; it literally melts in your mouth. I woke up thinking about how delicious the food was and just had to write a review.
Chardon Hill
I had surf n turf, Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, and a martini. Spent $113. The food tastes amazing and their customer service was pretty good too. Nice upscale atmosphere.
Bégódzig
Another great meal at Chops. Started with the cocktail shrimp which were perfect. Had my ribeye cooked Pittsburgh style which not every place can pull off but was perfectly done here. For sides, we had asparagus, broccolini, and the mushrooms and brussel sprouts. All three were great. As for the service, it was impeccable as usual. Can't wait for my next visit!
Pretty Princess Love
Food is always great, service is always top notch. Ambience is warm and inviting. These things are consistently great.

If you want a restaurant that doesn't comply with social distancing due to COVID 19, waiters who lower their masks while talking to you, and tables that aren't wiped down after a customer uses it- this place is for you. There's zero social distancing here. Bar is packed, as usual.
Kris Kris
I'm not sure where to start with this review. Our experience from the beginning to the end was over the top. The Waygu beef was worth it!! Cuts like butter! Tastes amazing!
Patrick Tisdel
Amazing food, lovely ambiance, cheap valet parking, fast service. Bottom level is very very crowded, but there's extra room on the top level. Friendly waiters, and the best quality steak in America (A5 miyazaki wagyu)! You'll need a reservation. They'll also bring you a special complementary dessert if it's your anniversary.
Mari Alexis
Got their Halibut special and literally couldnt stop thinking about it and craving it for a whole week!!! Also had their lobster / filet surf and turf and i swear it could have brought me to tears. And dont even get me started wit their to-die-for garlic mashed potatoes... I eat at a lot of high end restaurants in Buckhead and this place is definitely at the top of my list!

Went with a major donor😊 She paid AND made a major gift to my organization. Best steak ever. I ate leftovers for two more meals at home. Incredible. She ordered for her doggie, a bone! I kid you not. Monied Atlanta is a thing😎 …
Déjah King
Staff is always friendly. Each time we go we get someone with a unique personality that adds to our experience. The food never disappoints. Chops has become our special occasion dinner destination.
Kerstin Johnson
My son took me out for my birthday. Great service, wonderful atmosphere and spacious seating. The food was fantastic 👌 especially the chefs special of that day! …
Ryan Mcleod
Service was excellent. Waiter filled your water before you asked. Cleaned the table imediately. You were treated like someone special. I've been to many top NYC steak houses, this is in the top 2 or 3 by far. Drinks were top notch. 20oz ribeye was cooked to perfection. The sides exceeded expectations. Dessert was excellent. Would recomend to anyone. Chops is first class.
Kathryn Friedlund
We enjoyed the food. I had the ribeye, it was DELICIOUS. It was salty, but i love a salty steak. The grilled asparagus was delicious. My husband liked his bone in filet and the banana cream pie. The mashed potatoes were a little thin for his liking, but good. I do wish they were a little more attentive in filling the wine glass and that they would go the extra step to box my husband's leftover pie. Just the little extra touches.
The tartare was delicious as well!
Great food.
Ngu Nix
The steak, sides, and service are great! The host/MD really attends to your needs and cares about your experience. The restaurant needs some updating- the bathroom is in need of repairs and the decor is stale vs retro posh.
Charlton Thompson
Kevin Brown went above and beyond with our recent dine in. My wife and I love this place. The food and atmosphere is amazing. We received the best service from the staff, as well. Can't wait to return 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾 …
Ronnie Kenchen
The people are nice they're well-organized and the food was Simply Delicious and I'm from New York so I know about good food and they definitely have good food that chops
Adam Dorfman
Best of the best!
Chops Lobster Bar is the best of the best steak/seafood restaurants of its type in Atlanta. The service, food, management, bar, and atmosphere are all top-notch. Every experience I have had at this establishment has brought me back for more. Keep up the amazing work, Kevin and team!
Jay Sal
Very good. Came in for Father's day and was not disappointed. Bone in Filet was delicious My wife had the chicken also very delicious, to my surprise they had a full kids Menu for my four year old son! Defenitely will be back.!
Matthew Loop
I recently hosted a seminar at the St. Regis Atlanta and after we brought 35 guests to Chops for dinner. The staff exceeded our expectations. First class service all the way. Everyone in our party had a great time. The filet was exceptional per usual. Chops has a well deserved reputation. Highly recommend if you've never been.
John Dudley
I had reservations at 5:30p which turned out to be the perfect time. When we left at 8pm we had so much free time to do other things on a Saturday night. We were celebrating my cousins birthday. I arrived early at 5:05pm. I was sent to the upstairs bar while I wait. Upstairs is the Chops Steakhouse. We had reservations downstairs at the Lobster Bar. At 5:25p the manager set a table for three in the middle of the room. The décor was perfect. We watched the restaurant fill up over the next two hours. Our server was pushy and not helpful but the service was good overall. We had the rib eye, filet mignon, steak and lobster and lobster mac-n-cheese. 'Average' is how I would describe our meal. There was nothing exceptional about it. We did receive complimentary cake and ice cream as a birthday gift from the restaurant. We blew out the candles and was on our way. It was okay. I've had better.
Mia Talks
Atlanta STAPLE! Eat at the bar with Festus, perfect cocktails, perfect food and wine pairings. We ordered a little bit of everything and he knew each wine that would pair perfectly! Festus food and wine knowledge was superb, cannot wait to sit at the bar with him again! CHOPS does dining well all the time!
Dave Dzuris
Great all around bar and restaurant. The food was excellent but I was not thrilled with my bone in filet....too much bone, not enough meat especially when compared to 4 others at our table. This is my 3rd visit and will definitely go back!
Leighana “Traveltech03” Hendricks
Excellent service and food. I was planning what I'd order the next time while I was eating. Great time.
Brandi H
I ordered carryout from Chops. The flash fried lobster tail was very good but the crab cake was great. I'm usually not a big fan of crab cakes because often there's too much 'stuffing' and not enough crab, but this cake was just right.
Larry Raygoza
Interesting choice of dishes, cozy interior, friendly staff and pleasant prices what else do you need for happiness?
Keith Wesley
My wife and I loved this place. She loves seafood and I enjoy a good steak. This place was perfect for the both of us. The food was delicious and the customer service was outstanding.
Karen Taylor
Went for lunch and my server didn't know what "breaded" meant. I am doing Atkins and can't have carbs, so I asked if the fried lobster was breaded. Was told, "NO!! We don't bread ANYTHING!" when I get the lobster tail, it was totally breaded with a crust and everything. I asked the server and he stood by his statement saying "breading" would be greasier and this was a special flour. I didn't want to argue so I smiled and looked at my companion and said, "What do you make "bread" out of?" And we laughed. Food was good, but my particular server could have been a little better trained on the food he's serving - a lot of people have dietary restrictions, so it's helpful to know what they will be getting. I was able to scrape the breading off, but I would have opted for something else, had I known.
William Richards
I moved to Atlanta about a year ago and chops is never mentioned as one of the top steak houses in the area. After trying a few I have to say that this one was by far my favorite. It might have just been the terrific company we had that night but we had an A+ time with A+ food. I would highly recommend.
Shanterri Price
The food was delicious! We were seated immediately. Staff were wonderful! I would give 10 stars if I could.
Janet Handy
Most amazing seafood meal. I had the seafood trio. I substituted the Salmon for Sea Bass. The combo was crab cake, lobster tail and sea bass...AMAZING. will definitely go back again and again.
John Keller
I think I am the 1,000 reviewer! Well, let me take the opportunity to report that Chops/Lobster Bar is one of the finest restaurants not only in Atlanta, but the entire US - I don't care what anyone would argue. My personal favorite us the downstairs Lobster Bar and flash fried lobster tail appetizer. When you go, note the tile on the ceiling - very retro cool.
Ray Darby
Not sure where to start but I’ll try and do my best to make it short and brief. What a wonderful experience food was awesome hospitality was great and will highly recommend this place to anybody that like to eat.I normally don’t eat steaks out but I was not disappointed in the ribeye steak. If u in the ATL area please stop by for dinner it’s an experience you will never forget.
Jonathan Lewis
Crab cakes were gold 3 the fried lobster tail wad excellent. The service was good also. The only downer was the mac and cheese, it needed lots of help
Joseph Lamb
Kevin was our server and he was absolutely attentive and provided phenomenal pairing suggestions for our meal. The food was fantastic and we will definitely be back again in the near future!
Jessica Duron
Great place for family dinner! The food was amazing & you won’t find better service anywhere! They are fantastic!!
Amelia Banks
During this pandemic, this restaurant still delivered excellent service and superb food. I highly recommend Chris Bradley as a waiter! He was very knowledgeable of the menu and had great suggestions.
Kyle Gray
Was an exceptional experience for our anniversary
Thompson Hatfield
Chops is a phenomenal Steakhouse! The Lobster Bar is a discreet restaurant below chops that serves the same menu but has entirely different ambience. The best way to contrast the two would be that you would go to a Business lunch/dinner at Chops but you would go to anniversary dinner at The Lobster Bar. Everything is delicious! Make sure to try the table-side steak tartare, it's a unique and tasty experience.
Matthew Rycyk
Great service with an exciting atmosphere. You have to get the fried lobster tail. Side portions are big enough to share. Make sure you check out the dessert menu.
B Jeanne
Wow! Just wow. The service is impeccable. The food was perfectly seasoned. I ordered the black grouper over spinach. It was delicate and beautifully cooked. Oysters as an appetizer from east and west coast - were spot on. Could have ordered a few dozen and called it done. I cannot wait to go back. *parking deck at the Regis next door is 6 dollars per hour - might as well valet unless there is concern for sanitization
Bob McCormick
Always an electric buzz In the dining Room and fantastic food!
Tommy Young
Actually ate in the "Club" which was amazing food, service, and atmosphere.
Joe Nginyo
From Valet parking, guest desk to the waiters everything was well choreographed. The food was great and personnel was very pleasant and paid attention to every detail to make dining memorable. If I lived in Atlanta,I would go there frequently.
Matthew Schneider
Extraordinary experience. Special occasion. The food was spectacular. Great service, exactly what you would expect for a place that comes with a price.
Neil Kini
Chops is my all time favorite fine dining restaurant. Staff is very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend this place. Food is to die for and would be a great place to celebrate a birthday or any special occasion since it is a fine dining restaurant.
Eddie Eakes
Celebrated birthday for my wife and another friend. Food and service were great. Also our waiter sang a beautiful rendition of Happy Birthday to the ladies.
Brad Walton
Good service .. crab cakes are the best .. the seafood trio is excellent.. I will go back..
