Reviews of Copper Crown

We had a great time at the Copper Crown!
We were coming from out of town and had reservations for Valentine’s Day. The place was easy to find, even in the dark, and parking was easy. This is in a shopping center with other businesses.
My partner got an entree and a cocktail and I got a couple of small plates. He said his cocktail was very good. Everything tasted delicious, particularly the mushrooms and radishes over polenta.
The service was so friendly. We were really happy with the experience!

An absolutely delightful experience. Farm to table in season food done right with no frills. Seemingly simple dishes with extreme attention paid to detail; the seasoning & textures were masterful. Cocktails were also tasty, strong & balanced; I loved the local bee pollen rim. I couldn’t believe how reasonable the total was when our check came. We sat the bar & service was prompt, accurate & delightful. I will never come to visit asheville without also visiting copper crown, bravo to the staff.

Delicious food using local ingredients. I enjoyed the arugula with strawberry salad and the risotto with mushrooms and crawfish. / I needed a slight accommodation with my reservation and Emily was amazing. She even greeted me by name at my reservation time. / They have lot of patio space (both covered and uncovered) and easy free parking in a lot. / I’m only in Asheville for another week and made a second reservation to come back!

This seemingly humble restaurant is magical. A local recommended Copper Crown as the “best version” of the farm-to-table restaurants that crowd Asheville’s dining scene. I found it challenging to pick only a few dishes off of their impressive, creative menu—but everything I ate was so beautifully prepared. Their vegetable dishes in particular made me remember why dining in the summer is such a delight, so much color and flavor in every bite. I will definitely be returning on future visits to Asheville!

Unassuming place off the beaten path. This place is great. The food was tops and reasonably priced compared to places with similar quality food. I had the HNG colotte steak . Cook well. Very tasty . The crispy brussel sprouts and scallops small plates were great too.
Zoila Castro
Beautiful place to have a dinner with your boyfriend and Puppy (pet friendly). We order gnocchi (amazing) , scallops , and beef . Also rosé . Everything was perfect. I really recommend this place .

Believe the hype, the LoFi burger at the Copper Crown is perfect. Well, close to perfect, I wouldn't personally top it with a lettuce leaf but I've got to admit it photographs well. This burger is an absolute steal at $9.
It comes with terrible fries, maybe the sweet potato fries are better. The seasoned fries are an abomination. They're the cursed love child of cardboard and gardening foam. They couldn't be drier without turning to dust.
The bartender Tim was friendly and gave me space, I never felt rushed, just checked in on.
The drinks were fabulous, well made, and balanced. They also use luxardo cherries, which is a plus. I didn't love the reds by the glass section but I was happy with the Last Word and the Something More Comfortable. If you love bitters and amaros, this drink menu is for you, not for me.
The lady beside me got a risotto and loved it, so +1 for the kitchen able to do more than a killer burger.
Super excited to add this place to the rotation and try the grown up menu. I had to start with the burger. I had to.
Oh, they have outdoor seating, kind of. It's a patio but it's really more of enclosed extra space. No sunlight will touch your shoulders but you'll never get wet when it rains.
Super tiny place, best to make a reservation during peak hours.

Best Burger I've ever eaten! Such fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. It's not your typical choose your meal and sides restaurant. Very classy menu but doesn't break the bank. ALSO the best cocktail my husband ever had! We will be going back

Unfortunately, my experience here wasn't as good as I'd hoped it would be. I booked a table for 6 on a Friday night, which they had ready as soon as we arrived. However, the service was slow and they didn't really seem to care too much about our experience. They didn't have some drink items on the menu, which is understandable, but when an alternative was ordered, the server forgot and then didn't remember the order when reminded about it. The food was okay, but temps weren't accurate on the burgers, the mussels were salty, like the broth had been simmering too long, and so in combination with the service, it made for just a so so experience. I was really hoping to like them a lot, because it is convenient, has ample parking, and the menu read very well. I may try again on a slower night of the week and see how it goes.

Okay so, food is amazing. The owners really take care of their staff. I have pulled a couple gigs here now, and this is the cleanest kitchen I have ever worked in... Even during service!!! Staff follow all of the health laws, and I haven't had any complaints/concerns at all. Unlike most restaurants, I would actually eat here... And enjoy it. Y'all, the grout in the floors idkhow but it is still it's rightful colour 6 years after open. They are doing something right. 17/10 for solid, beautiful, SPARKLING, and well managed kitchen.

We ordered 4 small plates. We really enjoyed the cauliflower (great sauce), tender bison pierogis (great sauce), scallops (sweet potato and corn - delicious), and our least favorite was the mahi. Fish was well prepared and veggies and chips were good but sauce was just ok - didn't have much flavor. For dessert, the chocolate pot d' creme had a mouse texture with candied pecans and the delicious big surprise was the pumpkin and apple spiced cobbler. We enjoyed both desserts with real whipped cream. We would definitely eat here again if we lived closer. I would have liked a little bread with our meal with an herb olive oil.
Caitlin Morris
We were here a week ago visiting. Stumbled across it when we were trying to find a place to go to dinner. We sat at the bar and Tim was awesome! He had great suggestions for us. I had the Three Syllable drink - it was SO good, I had to have another. We had the gnocchi, my fiancé had the schnitzel, and I had the small plate steak which Tim suggested. It was such a great hidden gem. We really enjoyed our evening here. Would definitely visit again! :)
Arriel Salas
The steak was cooked perfectly. The potatoes and fries were very tasty. And the grits were some of the best I have had. 10/10 recommend this place if you’re in town.
The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable.
I wasn’t the biggest fan of the parts of speech drink. The Cuban mule was good with a slight spice after taste.
Mike Farrington
I highly recommend the ravioli! So good I could eat it twice 😋
My daughter and I got the trout dish, which is also amazing.
Charmeir Petite
Nice vibe! I was definitely digging some of the old school funk and soul music playing in the background! This drink was everything! It was a little rainy out and I wanted something reminiscent of Fall, this drink was made perfect by the bartender Tim! The food was great but the service and chopping it up with the locals made it that much better!
Brooke
Absolutely delicious! Relaxing atmosphere, great service, and food presentation was well thought out and tasted even better. Highly recommend!
Jaiden Hackett
My partner and I shared the Brussels sprouts they were a 10/10. My partner had the streak and it was fantastic as well as the mash potatoes it came with. I had the romaine salad with blackened chicken, also amazing. The service was also incredible, we couldn’t finish the food and got boxes. As we were leaving we forgot the boxes and someone who worked there ran out to find us, to give us our leftovers. Overall amazing and would recommend to anyone.
dan burns
If I could leave a 10, I would. Amazing gem hidden off the highway. We had no reservations so the hostess had to sit us around the side. So glad she did. It was like sitting in a garden, beautifully decorated with lovely flowers and umbrellas. I ordered the blackened catfish and jambalaya. My wife had oyster mushrooms and fried Green tomatoes. Unbelievably tasty. Our waitress, Megan, is a super server, very efficient and pleasant. Can't say enough good about this place.
Anthony I
Cooper is a diamond amongst the diamond of restaurants in Asheville. The service is tentative and warming while the food is filled with flavor and local ingredients. It is must when in the area.
Michael S
Excellent food and awesome staff. My wife had the flatiron steak and loved it, I had the delicious trout entree and my daughters loved their dishes. We shared the chocolate dessert and the flan, both were great. Five star experience!
Eva Drinkhouse
Amazing food to rave about, cocktails you won’t want to ever quit drinking, and very friendly, down to earth service. Not only were they extremely gracious about my baby knocking over my cocktail, but they gave me a new one without a single word from me. I wish I could come back on a regular basis. Love them!
Barbara Ingram
The food was very good, however the atmosphere was not. I am vegetarian so I had the Risotto which was quite tasty. My son had the steak and said it was perfectly cooked. They had Urban Orcahrd cider, which I love.
However, you're packed in right on top of other guests. If I had leaned my head back slightly, I would have touched the head of the person in the booth behind us. I was sitting closer to them than I was to the person in my own booth. The back of the booth is only about 4 inches wide, so it's quite awkward because you can hear every word they're saying...and vice versa. It wouldn't take much to put a divider in between each booth making it more private and pleasant for the guests.
It's also quite dark inside, so there's a bright glare coming from the windows in the front of the restaurant. If one of your party is facing the window, they can't really see the person across from them.
Eating out is not just about the food, but about the experience. If I'm going to pay for a meal, I would like the whole experience to be pleasant. In this case, the food and service were quite good, but the atmosphere will keep me from coming back.
Swain Spearman
Fantastic food!!!!! We had the scallops, bison flank and brussel sprouts. I would say the brussel sprouts were easily our favorite/star of the dinner! We also saw a few people order the burgers and they looked phenomenal! All local and regional beers offered. We didn't try any cocktails this go round. Great bartender with awesome local recommendations! Perfect ambiance for a date night. We made a reservation for an hour later than we decided to dine there at the bar very simply and our spot was set up and waiting on us when we arrived 10 minutes earlier than the reservation. Definitely recommend a reservation through their website as it is a small dining room. Truly wonderful service! We really enjoyed this place.
Beth Binns
Copper Crown has the most delicious, creative food. Outstanding flavor. We had all small plates which were actually a very good size. From the pork belly, to the lobster tail, to the vanilla mint flan, the food was fresh, beautifully flavored, and so memorable. Excellent service as well.
Kate Wartak
Absolutely one of the best meals I've ever had. Definitely stop here while in Asheville! The food and flavors were amazing, and the portions were perfect. Highly recommend the gnocchi, pan seared red drum, and the fried chicken!
Stephen Henry
Such an amazing experience! The service was great and the food was glorious! Highly recommend the crispy brussel sprouts and pork schnitzel and flank steak. Everything had great flavor and sauces that complimented reach other perfectly

Staying in the area for our anniversary trip, we spent 45 minutes searching through dozens of possible restaurants for tonight's dinner. We finally came across and settled on Copper Crown.
A little out of the way, tucked into a small plaza, this place is a HIDDEN GEM. The service was superb; the atmosphere was cozy; the food was absolutely remarkable. So glad we stumbled on Copper Crown. This was a dinner to remember!
Hollie Blakeney
What an amazing meal! We shared an assortment of small plates and desserts. Every dish was delicious. We all agreed that it was the best meal we've had in a very, very long time. We'll be back!
Reagan Garner
Hands down the best food we had all week in Asheville! Quality, presentation, and flavor was top notch. Pricing was perfect and our waiter was friendly/attentive. Can’t wait to come back here! We had the scallops, bison, and schnitzel.
Charles Eggers
Food was really good. The HiFi burger with seasoned fries was amazing. Staff were friendly but not overly ingratiating. Small menu and focused on bar type options. Although we didn't drink any alcohol the options were extensive. We came on a Tuesday, and they were packed, so make reservations. The ambience is more of an eclectic vibe with a touch of jazz bar feel. Although I live in Asheville, I don't get the RC Cola train that some places are on, pick a lane Pepsi or Coke :). Good pick if you are visiting Asheville.
J Howard
So this place was the bomb, I had the crispy shrimp and grits and my woman had the romaine salad with the crispy chicken. I had a local beer and it was really good she had the monkey do cocktail and she definitely got a little buzz. She said she didn't but whatever.. Anyways we're from Charleston South Carolina and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that's coming to Asheville or near the area if we ever come back would definitely coming here and we're going to try the dessert. The service is great and this is a place they usually take reservations but we happen to get in there and was seated really quick on Halloween night when it wasn't busy.
Clovis Coffey
This is truly a hidden gem. The food is not only flavorful and the drinks well thought out, but the taste of the food dishes and the cocktails leaves you wanting to try all of the other choices that are offered. The flavor profiles of their food dishes and their cocktails are absolutely sensational. I didn't manage to get through the entire food & drink menu, but I will definitely return to complete that wonderful task. The Copper Crown is definitely worth the few hours that we drove to come here. We'll be back!
heidi f
Great atmosphere with excellent service from Ben, our waiter. Flank steak was perfect at medium rare while wife's fried chicken and biscuits were the best! Drinks were very well crafted and expertly presented! Made reservations for Valentine's on the spot!
Pat Rzepecki
Every small plate we had (7) was delicious! From the salad to dessert, each was a new taste sensation. Pictures are of the scallops, Brussel Sprouts and dessert. Very friendly wait staff.
Ocean State Accounting LLC
The food was really good..pork schnitzel amazing..Brussel sprouts better than any I've had. Burgers just BEAUTUFUL as well as delicious! Great bar too. Good service.. its between fine diningand upscale casual. Its a small menu and entree menu.
Jane
Amazing all around - great food, service & cocktails. Scallops melt in your mouth. Best Brussel Sprouts ever - it’s a must get dish. Only unfulfilled wish- no bread. But I highly recommend & a restaurant I look forward to visiting again.
Krista Petkov
One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Everything had so much flavor and was cooked beautifully. Tongue was amazing, pork so tender, gnocchi luscious, pumpkin unique! Portions were much larger than expected. Had to get a doggy bag for late night snack. Wish I lived in Asheville, I’d be here all the time.
Courtney Eason
A perfect dining experience! From the food to the staff to the cocktails to the other patrons…. I could not have crafted a better experience! Highly recommend coming to this “off the beaten path” restaurant.
Anthony Scott
The outside and interior decor is very deceiving to how delicious the food is and hope amazing the service is. All of the servers help each other and are always available for your needs. The food was beyond delicious. It was very unique and had a lot of flavor.
Warren Bare
Everything was absolutely fantastic. Great dinner experience. My wife and I both had an appetizer entree and dessert, and all six items we tried we're unique and delicious. This is a must visit Asheville destination.
Peter Loughran
Wow what a meal! Fantastic service and being very covid conscious. We had a variety of small plates and the trout large plate. The cocktails were on point too. We will be back very soon to try some of the other items that looked great.
Heather S
Absolutely fantastic food, cocktails and service! Place was rocking on a Wednesday night before 7pm, obviously a testament to the loyal local diners, which is all you need to know to tell the food is solid. Had the buffalo fried green tomatoes, blistered shishito peppers, and fried chicken and waffles. When visiting Asheville again, we will be back!
Nick H
Absolutely outstanding fine dining starting true to the Asheville roots of having plenty of southern cuisine. They have small plates that let you get a taste of everything. Probably the best brussel sprouts I've ever had in my life
Benswing Rich (Ben Rich - Electric Biker)
Reservations recommended for this locally sourced, stylish and comfy restaurant! We happened to get a table because someone missed their reservation on a rainy night. We both enjoyed our burgers and the service was excellent! Also the cocktail I had was on par with the cocktails I normally enjoy at speakeasies in NYC. Will certainly return on my next visit to Asheville!
Isaac Shaftal
I may have already reviewed this restaurant, but I'm back again so here's another one! My wife and I are here for the 2nd time in a 4 day trip. We haven't repeated any menu items bc they change according to what's available locally, which we LOVE to hear :) Every bite [and sip] was incredible. Do yourself a favor and add this to your list 👍🏻👍🏻
Richard M
Super fun meal with friends. Meals were all super delicious and the drinks weren’t half bad either. I am already looking forward to our next meal here.
marianna sherman
Small and quaint restaurant. Well decorated and the bartender is very nice .... now let’s get to the best part: THIS FOOD! the royal mushrooms and risotto are superb. Fresh & you can taste the love in every bite. Definitely yummy
fred schuldt
We lucked out and got a table, but I'd recommend reservations.
The menu is really varied! Should be something for nearly everyone. The small plates are all delicious, and the presentation is such as one night see at a much more expensive restaurant!
Great service, really good food, reasonably priced- Winner!
Brittany Smith
Food and service was impeccable. The cauliflower appetizer was amazing, I absolutely loved the sauce. Practically wanted to lick the plate clean 😂
Rosemary Robinson
My favorite restaurant...don't tell anybody. Yummy, yummy, yummy!
Crab cakes, fried okra with a twist. Cocktails are fun and delicious, recommended wine spot on! If they had cornbread, like grilled cornbread with a delicious sauce, it would be perfect!
Izzy Salas
We had a great time here...the drinks were great, the food was spot on, and the desserts were good as well. Make sure to try the chipotle grits 😋 and as for dessert, the cobbler was the winner.
Shawn Veenstra
Have had the privilege to dine multiple times. Consistent and fantastic. Flavors in every....single.....bite. Service was amazing. Attentive and gracious. This is a spot I have ZERO issues recommending to others. Food and wine is gone before I ever think about taking a picture. Keep up the great work everyone!!
Jim Turpin
Copper Crown is a unique dining experience, with a creative menu that features both small plates and larger entrees. The menu changes frequently, but there are a few items that are always available (crispy Brussels sprouts with feta cheese and maple syrup...yum!) for those of us who return again and again. The food is always fresh and much of it is locally sourced. For a great dinner without the downtown hassle, Copper Crown is a great choice.
John Mora
Good food, friendly staff, wide beer selection. I wish they would open up for lunch again soon!
Joshua Venghaus
My family and I went on a 9 day road trip encompassing 6 states. We ate out three meals at over 20 restaurants. This was by far our favorite. Everything we had was incredible.
Kathryn Lyn
Great food! A bit pricey, but some times I'm in the mood for fancy restaurant vibe and delicious meals. This restaurant delivers! I've visited twice and was always impressed by tge food and cocktails.
Andrew Brodsky
We headed to this restaurant and ordered drinks. Our infant proceeded to have an absolute meltdown. My wife and I took shifts with her, got through drinks and appetizers at the restaurant before we asked the server to pack up our entrees. Everyone was so kind and understanding, asking if there was anything they could do to help. The burger and fried chicken tasted excellent, even after the 10 minute drive back to where we were staying! Thank you so much for your understanding.
VJ
Yummy Risotto and cauliflower dishes, good selection of beers and interesting cocktail menu. Friendly services and I will definitely repeat when I’m back in Asheville.
Kathleen Koechling
Crispy Brussels sprouts? Delicious! Omelet of the day with cauliflower, radish, spinach and feta? I'm convinced! Cheesy local stone ground grits? Amazing! This was a really special meal, one of the best in Asheville.
James Todd
Fully intended to post a "before" photo, but this lunch didn't have a chance to eacape. The red beans and rice with sausage and a fried egg was glorious. Then, the sweet crispy Brussels were even better. Topped it all off with hand cut fries that were just right for dessert. Tempted by the lunch happy hour draft for $3.5, but passed. Recommend!
Marie Gouldsbury
Fantastic service, great cocktails, and incredible food. It is so refreshing to be able to enjoy high quality meals prepared with seasonal ingredients in Asheville again. Money and time well spent!
Bob Bradley
Food was exquisite, presentation was great and the food was half the price you would expect to pay for the quality of our dinner. I have been to supposedly finer restaurants but this place blows them away
Nemo In TN
Great service & spectacular food - what an amazing Google find! Shrimp was perfectly cooked & perfectly seasoned... scallop & zucchini combo was innovative & tasty... mussels were in a terrific sauce which paired perfectly with the pineapple...steak was tender & cooked medium rare - yum!
Charles Holden
It was fabulous. Crab cakes, shrimp tempura, fried green tomatoes, crardads croquettes.
Jacinda Agantovich
Hands down the best scallops I have ever had.
Arugula salad is perfectly dressed. Please put this on your list to stop and try their food and cocktails.
Ryan Brower
This is my go to place to take a date or out of town guests for a nice dinner. It might be my favorite restaurant in town, and I've been here over 13 years. It's fun, creative, and most of all, on point-every time. They nail even difficult dishes like risotto or gnocchi in a creative way, but not so creative that you question whether it actually tastes as good as it sounds.
It does, trust me. And the menu is varied enough that all of your special flower family members with first world allergies will leave happy.
Keep up the great work guys. It's a real service to get this caliber of food without going downtown.
Sylvia Harrow
Hey, this is a really nice and civically minded establishment! They have certain days dedicated to giving a percentage of their profits to a certain charity. Such great food and although their seating is limited, they expand to the front porch in good weather!
L C
I'm not out to kill the good rating just to say that I did not have a 5 star experience, really more like a 2.
We ordered 2entrees, a salad and 3 small plates for our table. My main problem was that the small plates were VERY small plates and not worth what they cost. Also, they did NOT resemble the pictures on Instagram at all. The scallops were 3 medium sized, the pasta was very little pasta, mostly just ragu. I couldn't taste a mushroom or goat cheese in it because there barely was any. The arugula salad had very few blue berries or pecans. Kale was merely a garnish with the sea bass. You get the picture. This could have been a nice meal and should have been for the price, it wasn't. My first and last time here.
Paul Wilczynski
Food and drinks were very well done and not terribly expensive in the scheme of things. It has been way too long since we’ve been here because of Covid, but we’re going to come back more frequently. Our server was great too!
Marvin Wolf
Small, cozy, somewhat out of the way eatery. Excellent service, delicious and slightly unusual menu with a fair number of seafood dishes. The scallops are divine, the trout and catfish almost as good, and for carnivores, lovely, toothsome roast beef. AND: a small but superb dessert menu. What's not to like?
Lynn Wilson
Great meal tonight at the Copper Crown in Asheville NC!! Wonderful food, perfect service, and great menu! Love the craft beer selection on draft and wine list choices!
Cecyl Favarote
Passing through Ashville stubbled on this tucked away gem, the red beans and rice and shrimp were of New Orleans quality (sadly not the quantity for the price) but I was very pleasantly surprised and enjoyed it. Nice atmosphere and service.
Marc Mullinax
I cannot rate the food, as we were seated without a reservation. But after viewing the menu, we decided to go somewhere else. This place had a very limited menu and the waitress seemed happy that we wanted to go somewhere else. I admit, we were not dressed up, but don't judge a book by its cover. We always tip 20% and sometimes more, depending on service. We felt looked down on and were happy to take our patronage elsewhere.

February 14, 2022 - my partner and I decided to have Valentine's Day dinner here. My partner orders some kind of blackened fish dish (can't remember) and it arrived with a side of collard greens. We always sample each other's plates, but I typically stay away from collards, as there is no one and nowhere in the world who could do collards that would ever compare to my Grandma's, who passed away in October of 2017. This time, I felt the urge to just try them. With one bite, I was no longer sitting in Copper Crown, but was back home at Grandma's table, having Thanksgiving dinner with all of my family, watching my cousins play on the tire swing outside, and seeing my Grandma's smiling face. I have never had an experience like that, and I may never have one again. Needless to say, I cried right there on the spot and ordered a whole side of the collards just for myself. Everything we ordered was delicious and made perfectly. To the bartender who was our server that evening, thank you. To the kitchen who so expertly captured a feeling and memory that I was sure I would never experience again for the rest of my life, thank you. This is what good food does. A million times over, thank you Copper Crown and sorry for the late review!
Sally Fowler
If you want a great date night place Copper Crown is it! The food is absolutely amazing and the menu changes nightly. The most have is their infamous Brussel sprouts. Even if you hate brussel sprouts you will like these. Trust me.
Ross Eison
Seared scallops, Pan Seared Sunburst Trout, Blackened Catfish, and cheesecake were all really good, as was the service.
Parking on-site.
Ashley Vaughan
We tried this place on a girls’ trip to Asheville and it was such a great find! Everything we had was delicious from desserts, salads, bison, burger, and catfish jambalaya. Such unique flavors and our server was great to suggest some yummy drinks to us. I would go a lot more often if it was near home!
Harry Mamlin
We heard that the chef from Native Kitchen was now at Copper Crown. So we wanted to try it out. We were not disappointed! So glad there is another fine restaurant in East Asheville. We had the trout and the schnitzel. Both were exceptional. Service was fast and very friendly. It is a relatively small and quiet place. Perfect when you want to actually have a conversation during dinner. And the prices were not outrageous for the quality of the food.
Clayton Andrew
Phenomenal. I was recommended this place by a chef who was visiting. It's on the edge of a shopping center. Ambiance was awesome, made a reservation online and got right in. I sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly and made me two custom drinks, plus I had the old fashioned. I also tried the okra, salmon gnocchi and bison. All were top notch. The portions were generous for tapas style. Service was perfect. One of the best restaurants I had the pleasure of visiting in Asheville.
Jeffrey Wolf
food was excellent. selection was a bit limited but the prices and the quality were great. our waiter was new to his job but worked hard to help and did a good job. if you visit the area you should dine here. I recommend it - when we go back yo the area we will visit Copper Crown again
Christin H. T.
this place is always great! we have been a few times and the food has been top notch and the service fantastic as well. we will be back.
Peter Hegwein
After a 7 hour drive from Tallahassee, found this place 1 mile from the hotel.
Overall, the food was very fresh and delicious! Small plates are recommended; get 3-4 and share! Pork belly plate was outstanding!
Eric Wenzel
Terrific flavors, fresh and creative. Location is East Asheville so it's a minor drive outside of downtown, but worth it.
The brussels sprouts were exceptional, but the schnitzel was the real winner. Perfectly made and complemented.
Joe G
We had the scallops, risotto, and pork tenderloin for entrees, the arugula salad to start, and chocolate mousse for dessert. Amazing food! The strawberry cucumber margaritas were sooo good and I really enjoyed the Mexicali Mule too! They even have some interesting non-alcoholic beverages too! Highly recommend!
Kristin Danner
This was our favorite dinner on our trip. We had the gnocchi, tuna, scallops, and flank steak. The scallop dish was the winner but the other dishes great as well. We also had a delicious fruit crisp dessert. We will be back next time in the area. I do think it would have been nice for them to offer a free dessert or acknowledgement for our anniversary that I put on the Resy reservation though.
mechtech256
Bold flavors done with great technique and quality ingredients. Good drinks. Casual upscale and easy to make an excuse to come back to for any occasion. My kind of place.
Leigh Coffey
Excellent experience on a Saturday night. Interesting and delicious cocktails and small plates. Very happy to have this place in East Asheville.
Kenneth Jordan
The food here is solid as well as the drink menu. The service is good. Honestly, in another town, I would give this place 5 stars. In Asheville, they're good, but not one of the best. If you're on that side of town and looking for an upscale menu with good service, food, and drinks, though, I recommend it. It was on my list of places to try and I tried it and liked it.
Carly Miller
Locally sourced goodness!! The Hi-Fi burger is unbelievably delicious!! Sweet and savory, it has amazing flavor. Totally recommended!!
Dan Conner
WOW WOW WOW. What an awesome meal and atmosphere! Brussels were so on point and the hi-fi burger was a masterpiece. So happy they have NA beverage selections like Untitled Pils. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Will definitely be a regular eating location.
Eric Stoffer
Brussel sprouts are a superb starter. All of our meals we exceptional. Everything was fantastic.
Brittany Abdou
10/10 experience! Food, staff, decor, price, atmosphere…all excellent!
Josh Henri
One of our favorite places in town. Upscale food with a relaxed vibe.
Maureen
This is a wonderful restaurant to have in east Asheville. Good food and a nice covered outside space. The fried brussel sprouts are not to be missed best in the city. You will need a reservation.
Nancy B
Numerous small plate selections, each absolutely delicious and presented with pride. Great chef and staff . Our favorite restaurant in Asheville. Well done!!!

Had a great time at our first visit to this neighborhood restaurant. We tried the gnocchi, the risotto, the scallops, the croquettes, and the brussel sprouts -- every bite delicious; then shared the HNG flank steak. Thanks to the chef for using local produce and meats. Servers and other staff were working hard, the place was unusually full for a Tuesday, but they were attentive and cheerful (be sure to get reservations). Thanks Jenny for taking good care of us, we'll be back!
Shane Gravitt
The small plates of crab cakes & bison steak were both fantastic. I have seen a couple other reviews mention the sauces & they made the dishes. Drinks seemed a little expensive (maybe those are just local norms) but were also outstanding.
Anna T
First time here, got the food to go. Food was well seasoned, tasty, good portions. Will probably try dining in next time.
Marcus Reid
Limited menu selections but food was delicious. Ordered the Wolffish for the first time and was not dissatisfied. Wait staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes they offered. Will definitely visit again on our next visit to Asheville.
Sandra Nicolescu
Food was great- quite unique! We got the bison steak and it was delicious. Plus I loved the fact that they had small plates and large plates so you can try several different things with your table if you prefer! Prices were not bad at all.
Joanna Peters
Do not judge this spot by the exterior and location. It was amazing!! The food was all beautifully presented and delicious, every single dish. Would order the gnocchi and pork cheeks again in a heart beat but also really loved the scallops, which were perfectly cooked and paired beautifully with corn and peppers. Fried chicken and waffle did not disappoint either. Solid service as well and following all Covid precautions properly, which as a paranoid pregnant woman I particularly appreciate. Highly recommend!
Mike Courtney
We had an excellent meal from top to bottom. Our server was friendly, informed, thoughtful and just the right amount of available. We had two small plates, two larger plates and a dessert. Perfectly prepared, balanced and clearly very fresh ingredients. Our three cocktails were very well made and the bar program was well equipped for any cocktail enthusiasts, Amaro fans, mezcal lovers or Whiskey connoisseurs. We will be back frequently!
Richard McBrayer
Great little restaurant with downtown quality, but easier to get to!
Amanda Islambouli
I really really love this place and hate to write a bad review. But places around here NEED to start being MUCH more serious about allergies. I’m really going to get sick one of these days due to carelessness around allergies. I’m so upset to have to write a bad review as they’ve been accommodating in the past and their food, vibe, and ethos is great. But it’s absolutely unacceptable to make such a bad mix up with allergies.
Karen Brown
Love Copper Crown! Always have excellent food and personable friendly servers!
Jordyn Gardner
A very elegant setting with a diverse menu. It was so relaxing and the ambiance was overall very enjoyable! The food was delicious as well. I don't think I've had a turkey burger that good in years, and their gluten free bread was a good compliment. The sweet potato fries are to die for. They also have a well stocked bar, though I haven't tried any cocktails yet, but I'll definitely be back!
Stephen Sandlin
Wonderful experience. Staff was attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Diverse menu, made even better with a few diet adaptations that the restaurant happily made.
Christy Rhodes
This restaurant is just the best. Their food is creative, seasonal, and the highest quality around. The staff is attentive and very good at what they do. All those complaining about reservations - I don’t know what you expect of a small-sized, very popular restaurant in a town that is overrun by tourists most months out of the year. The one star reviews are ridiculous, but I’m sorta glad it’ll keep people like that away so the rest of us can enjoy this absolute gem.
Kelsey Mortimer
If I could give 10 stars on this restaurant I would. Everything was outstanding. Definitely, off the beaten path-but don’t let this deter you. The food was absolutely amazing. We ordered the muscles, brussel sprouts and gnocchi for appetizers and the steaks for our main course. The flavor and presentation of every dish exceeded our expectations. Also, reasonably priced. A must in Asheville.
John Pendergrast
The food was good and creative. I called in advance and made a reservation (which required a $50 CC hold, not something I’d expect from somewhere this far away from the main downtown area but whatever).. with the reservation I’d shared it was my wife’s birthday and asked for the better seating.. we were seated at the bar and the bar service was just ok. As excited as we were to visit, I was disappointed. Worth trying if you’re in the area
Jessica
It was mine & my husband's first time out at a restaurant since covid19 restrictions. We were celebration his birthday. We made reservations for outside seating at 5pm. It wasn't crowded and they were doing an amazing job & i felt very comfortable!! Our waitress was so nice and didn't ever get too close or did ANYTHING that made us feel unsafe or uncomfortable. Will be going back again soon. It's our "safe option" for going out to dinner. Oh yeah... the food was amazing as always!!
Sarah L
We just had another wonderful dinner at Copper Crown. There is always a wide selection of new, unique offerings on the menu. I don’t think we’ve ever had a disappointing meal. All sooo delicious and so much flavor. Highly recommend the Romaine salad which they usually keep on the menu because it’s so popular - so many surprises in there! I wish I could recreate that one at home. Cocktails are delicious. Our 2 kids have always been welcomed the last 2+ yrs we’ve been going (they’re now 4 & 6) and all the staff are so kind to them!
Max Vander Ploeg
Very attentive service. There are only 9 outdoor tables right now, due to Covid, so reservations are highly recommended (I got lucky).
I had the snapper small plate and the risotto small plate. The snapper was cooked perfectly with a nice blending of flavors from the other ingredients (including watermelon). The risotto was delicious and fairly filling for a small plate. I took half of it home for lunch.
Highly recommended.
Gary Cornwell
Best place in Asheville so far by far. Can't wait to get back! Be sure to reserve!
Krishna Dry
We’ve been to Asheville many times and have missed this hidden gem until now. This will be on our top list of favorites when we visit from this point on. The food was amazing (we had the gnocchi, crab cakes and catfish), the drinks were fabulous(sawtooth old fashioned) and the service was fantastic. Shout out to Brooke and Tim for making our experience so awesome. We will definitely be back!
Chris Gallert
Delightful. Sat at the bar for dinner. Tim steered us to perfect beverage choices including Big Pillow Brewing El Guapo Vienna Lager. Smaller plates were great... flank steak was excellent along with romaine salad, brussel sprouts. Double burgers with fries were also spot on.
Larry Juran
Had another great dinner and experience at Copper Crown last evening. Food was outstanding as usual, and we especially enjoyed the new tofu dish. Service was also great as usual.
Liz P
Great meal! Decided to pick up food for four of us and everything was amazing. Desserts were all divine, chicken and pork were soooo good. Hostess was a gem and the guy taking the order was informative and funny. Overall fantastic experience and can’t wait to order again.
TechnoTurtle222
Wasn't a fan of the super diverse menu, everything had some twist ingredient I wasn't familiar with. I ended up getting the lofi burger which was really tasty and simple. Wide variety of alcohol to choose from
Lisa Cook
Absolutely amazing service! I hate I can't remember our waitress' name, however she had a beautiful gold necklace that I commented on, very Egyptian. She was amazing! Food was great, best value for a kid's meal. The brussel sprouts were fantastic, nice and crispy. My husband got the burger and I ordered beef tongue, both delicious.
Audrey Sestak
Have been here a couple of times so far. The staff are friendly and attentive. I have really enjoyed the dishes I ordered. It seems like everyone knows this place is good, so go early or make reservations.
Ss Ss
Oh my gosh! The Copper Crown restaurant is absolutely, unbelievably phenomenal! We ordered the brussel sprouts, cauliflower, beet and arugula, and scallop dishes. First of all, every serving portion was huge. And these were the small plates! Definitely enough for four people to each enjoy a good-sized taste. We didn't have room in our bellies for dessert. We'll have to try that next time. There is outside seating which is nice also. I just can't even describe how heavenly this food was. I'm a hypercritical perfectionist, and this meal was absolute perfection! I would be happy if I could eat here every single day of my life. Go out for a nice evening at the Copper Crown; you won't regret it.
Vedanjali Gogineni
Awesome food, awesome waiter. Nothing can go wrong here!!!
Angel Latterell
Really delicious and creative food. Nice staff. I would go back again.
Phillip Caleb
From the food, to the beverages, to the staff, outstanding on all accounts. Sazerac mixed up by the bartender was unique and flavorful! All five little plates were delectable, and rich in flavors. All the staff, and especially our waitress Jenny, were charming and attentive! I will be back!
Flankenstein
Incredibly refreshing twists on traditional fares. Some dishes flavor palates completely mask their simplicity. An absolute worth while dining experience 👌 …
Jamie Brown
The food is absolutely incredible… Even to go! I had the gnocchi, arugula salad, and pot de creme. Can’t wait to go back in person, and so glad I found this place.
Rodney Martinez
From out of town here for the weekend! Stumbled upon copper crown while looking at restaurants in the area, and wow. This place did not disappoint. It has a quiet, calm and romantic atmosphere and a beautiful patio. Our waitress was quick and attentive. The food was incredible!!! Best I’ve had in Asheville, hands down. Definitely recommend the pork shoulder and the duck leg! If I could give it 6 out of 5 stars I would.
Rhiannon Beshers
This place was amazing. Emily was our server. She gave us the perfect amount of attention. More places should serve tapas style food. The Moscow mules are good and the Brussels sprouts were out of the world! I highly recommend!
Paul Wait
Whenever I have family in town, this is where I bring them. An absolutely wonderful restaurant. I have never had bad service or a bad meal here. The changing seasonal menu keeps things new and fresh. Excellent! Make sure you call and make a reservation if you are going during busy hours!!
Amy C
Great food! The GF options are wonderful! However, the price is high and the plates are small. I asked my waitress about the size of the "small plates" options, which she described as "plenty". I would describe mine as an appetizer rather than a meal. Go for the experience and taste, but not if you're starving.
Tracy P Bond
Highly recommend the crispy okra, fried chicken & zucchini waffles; and the Crawfish Risotto was unbelievably good!
Stuart Roberts
Food was excellent, however the glassware was dirty and the waitress had attitude.
Kyle Levitan
Copper shines like a diamond in East Asheville. Enjoyed everything, from our drinks to the small plates, not to mention the entree and dessert. The staff are friendly and genuinely pleasant. I've been a few times and this last time was the best yet. I'm happy to see this restaurant maturing among the many restaurants in town. Highly recommended for slightly upscale dinning with a casual atmosphere.
Jamie Richardson
Fantastic food and service! Really enjoyed our anniversary dinner here. Flavorful and unique dishes with generous portions. Attentive and friendly service, our sweet waitress made sure our dinner was pleasant. Reservations are recommended, as this is not a huge place. Perfect for a special occasion or romantic date.
Riley McKenna
Truly delicious meals served by this chef. The really enjoyed the fried Brussel sprouts. They were crispy with a sweet and salty sauce and a creamy sour cheese. I am always a calamari fan and this was not a disappointment. The slaw is a fresh take on southern slaw with a few thinly sliced celery stalks for crunch and favor. Lastly, the drinks were fresh, flavorful, and unique. I will return and recommend to others as a must visit location.
Jenni Casale
The food was delicious and interesting and came to the table quickly. I had a very simply dressed salad with bacon and corn nuts and I don't know how I've lived my life up to this point without that salad. Their Seafood is cooked perfectly and their flavor combinations are spot-on. I will definitely be returning.
Andrea Kay
So glad we came to eat here. Every dish was delicious and flavorful. The cocktails were excellent. The waitstaff worked hard and were pleasant. So happy we found this treasure!
James McDonald
Great locally owned restaurant serving well-prepared local sourced food. One of our favorites. You won't be disappointed. Reservations during the busy season are recommended.
Michelle Consorte
Excellent service! The waitress asked our preferences and made perfect recommendations for us. The burgers were divine: juicy, tender, delicious sauce, not greasy. Drinks were also very tasty. If we are ever in Asheville again we will definitely be going back!
MEL L
Good Place for good food and small plates. Saying this in a good way as small plates were just what we wanted and the pricing was accordingly.
Dhyan Mount
Amazing food amazing service. Get the fried brussel sprouts they are amazing best that I have ever had and I have samples quite a few local brussel sprout dishes, these are by far the best. If you get the shrimp and grits you can sub the shrimp for any type of meat and the grits are the fluffiest grits that I've ever had as well. The burgers are great not the absolute best but still great far above where your standards should be. Locally-sourced meat good produce good people good service great restaurant.
Kay Cole
Excellent food and excellent service! I went here with some friends for my birthday and we all really enjoyed it! I had the shrimp po' boy, which was great with the Old Bay aioli, and fried green tomatoes with Buffalo sauce and a lime (and something else) yogurt. The fried green tomatoes might have been better than mine, but I'll never admit it. We ate inside, but there's a nice patio and it was fun seeing people with their canine friends there. Prices were very reasonable and I will definitely be returning!
Angel Gonzalez
I m visiting Ashville for the first time, it is hard to figure it out in one day but since I didnt want to adventure in the dark in these roads I decided to explore local restaurants...I was lucky to find this place 4 minutes away. I ordered carry out and so worth it. The chimichurri steak was delicious, potato salad FRESH. the gnocchi so creamy so good. And last the fried chicken with yummy bbq sauce and fresh made corn cakes... absolutely moist inside crunchy in the outside... I mean such a sophisticated menu in this area...bravo!!!!
PS the lady who took my order, she never hanged up, i was rushing to place my order... she told everyone how hard it was to understand my accent, she laughed when I was still on the phone, how I pronounced mountain ... let me tell you because of my accent, my culture I m able to appreciate food. I m proud of my accent, I m sure that people with no accent rather turned in the corner for Sonic's... instead I rather support some local talent, It was hard to find the restaurant and all but i made it. I choose Copper Crown. Have a good night!
Burt Leiman
This is an interesting, small restaurant with unique spins on familiar dishes. Nice sized wine pours! We enjoyed the crispy Brussel sprouts, Buffalo fried green tomatoes, and shrimp small plates. The ingredient combinations for our pork schnitzel and chicken dishes were very interesting and tasty, but the pork and chicken were kinda dry. A fun evening but short of amazing.
Ashley Ioakimedes
Everything I’ve ever had here is so on point: food, drinks, outstanding service. After a really wonderful experience having a delicious drink by myself that James made for me off-menu, I chose Copper Crown to reserve a table for 12 ladies which could have been a nightmare for any restaurant, but they took extra steps to treat us wonderfully and make sure everyone was beyond happy. We were able to order almost every small plate, and there wasn’t a single thing that was less than amazing. Based on this experience, I think I could point to the menu blindfolded next time and come up with an incredible dinner. Tim, James and our other server & hostess seriously put the work in to provide a seamless and superlative experience, which meant a lot after I’d plopped a big group of people on them at the end of a busy night. The cocktails were perfect as well, and locally focused; overall the quality of everything and portion size made the prices seem way too low (but I’ll take it). Everyone raved about the dinner all weekend. I can’t wait to come back often.
Amanda Mac
Excellent service. Food was well prepared and tasty. Fair priced and large portions. We were 1st time customers and this place had been recommended by multiple people in the hotel.
Sherry Ricci
Run, do not walk to this restaurant. Every
thing was fabulous. Sauces added so much to all the dishes and being seasonal, both the small and large plates were so delicious. A very picky friend ate foods he thought he'd never eat
Waitress brought dish to try, which was okra and everyone loved it. Will be back!
Sherri Cappabianca
My friend and I drove up to Copper Crown from Hendersonville a couple of weeks ago to meet some friends for her birthday. I had the brussel sprouts and scallops. Both were incredible. I tasted our friend's fried green tomatoes and they were a bit too battered for my taste, but were otherwise good. Service was impeccable, and social distancing was handled very well. I've already recommended this to another friend looking for a place to celebrate an anniversary. Definitely worth the drive from H'ville!
I Lione
Intensely delicious food. Excellent wine pairing with the wonderful plates. And an all around pleasant place to dine. And of course very friendly and gracious staff. Hooray for Copper Crown!
Emily Franzone
The atmosphere here is very cool. It’s a warm and welcoming environment. Staff are very friendly and nice. The grits were some of the best grits I’ve ever had. The pitstop omelette was absolutely delicious.
Judi Jetson
Delicious small plates - I had trout over rice grits and excellent fried Brussels sprouts. $5 wine on Tuesdays. Great service. It was crowded and noisy which is the only reason they didn't get 5 stars
Chris Goodrich
The BEST food I've ever had in my life! If you've never had the full body experience of delicious, really high quality cuisine -- Copper Crown is a great hidden gem in Asheville! The food entices all of your senses from the first bite to the last (smell, taste, satisfaction, etc.). I really can't express enough how amazing and insense the flavors were for dinner and dessert. It's like I never tasted anything before. When food can elicit joy like that, you know it's good! The prices are very reasonable and staff is top notch! I would highly suggest this place!! Don't miss it!!
SJLavinder Lusby
We decided upon this place because I was craving a good burger with fries and a salad close to our hotel! If I could give them 10 stars I absolutely would. From the service which was impeccable to everything we devoured was amazing! The green tomatoes, mixed green salad, lo fi burger, pot de creme chocolate dessert and cocktails were to die for! Thanks for this exquisite dinner we will absolutely be back when in town!
Eva Reynolds
Lovely restaurant with seasonal menus. Small plates and full size entrees. The Sunburst Farms Trout was cooked to perfection the brussel sprout were crispy perfection my spouse loved the schnitzel. Yum. Service was also excellent.
Tara Leammookda
Love the fusion of fresh ingredients and New Orleans Flavor. The small plates are great for exploring the menu. We loved it all - Romaine Salad, Roasted Cauliflower, Cornmeal Crusted Shrimp, Crab Cakes, Blackened Catfish w/Greens & Jambalaya! Can't wait to try out their brunch.
Tre Rials
It’s so great to sit at a bar again! Bartender was super friendly. The food was delicious. The mushrooms were a standout. So glad I stopped here on my way through town.
A L
Absolute 5 star experience. My bf and I are visiting Asheville for the first time- our first night in town we chose the Copper Crown ordering the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer to share, he had the Tender Steak and they subbed Trout (clean fish) for the swordfish butternut squash risotto dish for me — everything was FIRE/absolutely *delicious*. This was the best experience from the beginning to end; we received ASTOUNDING customer service from the Host, named Corrina. We definitely will be returning and our other restaurant experiences this trip will be held to a very high standard because of the quality of our meals tonight. Thank you Copper Crown! And thank you CORRINA!
Anrika Rupp
As always in Asheville, it's the great people!!
Thomas Montgomery
Outstanding food, great service. Had the carrot entree with grits which was a perfect blend of veg and carbs. The BBQ shrimp was absolutely delish. Bread pudding made me want to slap my mama. Good job from start to finish.
mattye moss
Always a nice experience. Foods great, service is usually top notch. Great little bistro with craft cocktails and decent portions. More suited to a couples or adults dinner than bringing the entire family, but kids are welcome.
hgrantham92
I’ve traveled throughout Italy. I’ve eaten at high class restaurants in Dubai. I’ve tasted sushi in Tokyo. However, I’ve never dined on better food than the Copper Crown’s. I ate the grilled okra and blackened catfish. The word divine doesn’t do them justice. The chef truly knows the art of complimentary pairings. All the sides in each dish perfectly supported each other. Please try Copper Crown. You won’t regret it.
Kevin Smith
Food is amazing. Menu has a variety of options. Cocktails are superb. Great beer selection too. Service was great. It can be busy at times, so I'd recommend a reservation. I cannot recommend this place enough. Doesn't get as many accolades as other Asheville restaurants due to it being located in East Asheville, but it is definitely worth the trip. You won't be disappointed.
Laura McKay
Wow, this restaurant has incredible food that makes your tastebuds sing. The flavors blend together perfectly. The portions are just the right size, enough if really hungry to completely satisfy, or if less hungry to share. Price reasonable, especially for the high level of food. Both indoor & outdoor seating. While location is not in the main heart of Asheville, it's so worth a visit. Easy parking too!
Ksenia A. Brief
Fantastic food! Love the micro greens and creative pairings like fish with persimmon.
John Sperry
Had a lovely dinner with friends. Very creative choices for our dinner. It was very good (roasted pork shoulder with pickled pepper and watercress garnish on a bed of creamed grits). Also very reasonable. I will be back
Jane Doe
Saturday Brunch was my first CC experience, and based on that we will most certainly become regulars. Crafty cocktails, perfected pancakes, exquisitely layered salads; I had a tough time chosing any one item to commit to. Bring a group of friends and try a little of everything! You won't be disappointed!
Ally Jermon
Wow! Since moving from New York back in September the one thing I've had trouble finding is affordable but equally fantastic food. I can officially say that we found our perfect food spot. We had several plates spread across four hungry adults and each plate was spectacular. The small plates are phenomenal and we can't wait to come back to try more!
Akshata Malur
This amazing restaurant deserves 10 stars. Everyone in our group loved their food (we had veg & nonveg crowd). Excellent wait staff, a large selection of drinks, inventive & outstanding global flavors. Highly recommend!
Garry Cook
We ordered the small plate Brussels Sprouts and Gnocchi along with the trout large plate and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The menu is varied and offers a great selection for most palates and the prices were reasonable and service outstanding.
Carlisle Bascom Jr
Got the hi-fi burger and was incredibly impressed. Stellar beer menu, and excellent cocktails. Best place to order a mix of small plates with family.
Mason McGlamery
by far the best brussel sprouts I have ever experienced in my life. excellent beer menu and everything else i had was amazing. great breakfast/brunch burger. the service was also exceptional.
Melisha Mullins
This the type of food that touches your soul. Best brussel sprouts around. Thanks for feeding us Adam. Friendly service and the atmosphere pasted the vibe check. Check this little spot out!
Douglas Cegelis
This place is always great. Tonight was my third visit. The hostess wasn't great, the server took much longer than usual for the initial greet, but overall still a great experience. Any place isn't going to be perfect every shift and a Wed evening is that kind of night if any. Overall the fact that this place exists in East Asheville at all is impressive
Michele Simmons
The curried murisaki sweet potatoes were incredible. The trout was also very delicious. It was a great evening on the patio with great service. Great place to go and enjoy dinner with friends.
Susan Schaffer
The food is always fresh & hot. Generous salads. Their food combinations are so different, but so delicious! A favorite place!
Ken KAREGEANNES
As good as any restaurant in Asheville without all the crowds and parking hassles. Be sure to make reservations as the main dining room and porch are both small. Well stocked bar with creative drink offerings. Many interesting dishes that feature local traditional Southern ingredients prepared in creative new ways. A breath of fresh air in what is becoming an overcrowded dining market.
Katie
I have been to the Copper Crown twice and loved it both times! The atmosphere is cozy and classy with excellent staff to compliment the overall experience. As others have said, this restaurant is truly a gem.
Steve Jencks
I've been driving and walking by this place for quite a while. I'm so glad I finally stopped. The food was done to perfection. The staff were professional and friendly. They have inventive cocktails as well as a nice selection of local craft beer. I'll be back.
Melissa Myers
Copper Crown is my new favorite restaurant in Asheville. I am so fortunate to live nearby. Their small plates are amazing and affordable, and the menu is constantly evolving to fit seasonal and local food offerings. I only wish they could have kept the Saturday brunch menu going, but for those of you who can make it on Sunday, it is well worth the trip. Those lavender lemonade cocktails are to die for!
A Bruderli
We sat at the bar, so I was concerned the service may suffer a bit. The service was great and the bartender was pulling double duty dealing drinks and serving me and my guest.
The food was fantastic and fresh. The portion sizes were perfect for an entree and it was one of the best meals I've had in a long time.
Lauren Kreuze
This is the best restaurant in Asheville, or at least from what we experienced! The scallops are out of this world, the panicatta dessert is transcendant, and the staff is awesome. We ate at all of the fancy well know restaurants in Asheville, and this by far was our favorite!! This is a sweet local spot with fine dining quality food at reasonable prices! We will be back!
Claudia Bantel
Food is exquisite. We ordered several small plates...brussel sprouts, carrots, risotto, and more! Yummy. The wait staff so friendly and helpful. The bartender was super helpful and went out of his way to give great suggestions.
Joyce Arcus
Great food made fresh. We were able to get a last minute reservation. Very busy. Had to wait longer than anticipated for our food, but worth the wait.
Paul Brookes
A jewel nestled in a diamond and hidden for those who seek just good food! I was floored! The food general atmosphere and social distancing measures during this time.. I have nothing but good things to say! I could say anything bad if I wanted to. It was just a lovely experience for my family. Thank you Copper Crown! We will see you again when we return to Asheville!
Karen “kk” Williams
Wonderful, friendly, easy-for-everyone-to-enjoy atmosphere. Loved the detail to taste: risotto & their famous brussel sprouts. To my surprise, pinot grigio by the glass was spectacularly smooth with my food. Great place you can only regret if you miss it.
Don Severson
This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The food is fantastic and the service is so personal. I can’t stop going back to try everything on the menu. And the homemade Ginger beer is to die for.
Jack Knighten
I love this place! Service is always friendly. The food is so awesome and totally affordable. I eat there almost every week and have yet to have a bad meal. Good southern cuisine. Great liquor selection. Brunch is killer! Dinner is on point.
Jeanie Knox
There hasn't been a dish we haven't loved but the Brussels sprouts are a must-try. The atmosphere is intimate and inviting, the staff is great, and the tile work is beautiful (I'm biased, my husband did it.)
Amanda Tornabene
Had the blackened shrimp po boy, and my boy friend has the lo fi burger. Both were AMAZING! And the pepper jack grits were on point. Wasn't huge fan of the bloody mary, but everything else was great!
Scott Snyder
I wish there were half stars ... that being said this is a 3.5 star event. . Considering post COVID dinning experiences ... the drinks were “Asheville expensive” and slow!!! The Hanger steak was weird if not game’ie??? ( Bad meat ? ) I would wait for the restaurant (Asheville...) world to settle-down a little more before I started looking for high levels of delivery... from the local restaurants.
Wes H
One of the best restaurants in Asheville! The space is cozy, definitely recommend getting a reservation. The menu is always rotating with new items to try. The food is spectacular and always comes out fresh. Be sure to try the roasted cauliflower or the fried green tomatoes as an app. I have dreams about the pork schnitzel...it is to die for! The cocktail and beer menu is very extensive and changes with the season. Be sure to try this place out if you are in East Asheville!
ARabin
One of my favorite places to eat and drink because of the menu and handcrafted cocktails. food is really well prepared and has great ambience. We like to bring our out of town guests there and it proves to be popular!
kcnative
Absolutely loved it. Wife and I had a great experience here. The blackened shrimp poboy was awesome. Wife had the pork schnitzel which was amazing as well.
Place looked great and staff was very welcoming. Would recommend to anyone.
E C
Wonderful experience with fresh interesting food in a cozy setting. Service was excellent. Would look forward to returning again. Every dish we tried was delicious. You should definitely give it a try
PJ Miller
Excellent and varied food. Try just sharing multiple plates tapas-style. Recommend the pasta carbonara and the okra. Fried chicken needs a little brining to make it more moist, but it does have great flavor.
Victoria Reichard
The pairings of the dishes can be out of this world. The menu changes in terms of the pairings and flavors, but there are also some regulars. Yummy yummy food and good drinks!
Spencer Scorsone
Everything was delicious, the service was great. Short but very nice wine list. We ate the cauliflower, ny strip, risotto (my fave) and lamb belly which was amazing. Will return!!
Steven Sreb
I'm always pleasantly surprised when I remember that this place exists. really nice menu of small plates, with lots of vegetarian options. Happened to be there on Sunday night, which is burger and beer night I learned. Dollar off of both. A little hard to find from the street. Nice outdoor seating when the weather is right.
Lynn Lowdermilk
We enjoy eating at the Copper Crown, sitting outside on a nice day. They have a great weekend brunch. For the current dinner menu, you can't go wrong trying the blackened pears in a blue cheese fondue.
Courtney Cogswell
Delicious food, great place for sharing small plates. Good selection of drinks as well with multiple draft options as well as bottles and additional cocktail menu. Everything I had was amazing.
Derek Patton
Easily the best restaurant in east Asheville. They have large entrees and also tapas style small plates. The menu has so much variety that there will definitely be something for everyone. Good restaurant with good food. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for something a little different and interesting.
Joshua Allen
Really fantastic food. Great curbside service. Enjoyed the cocktail mixers, the catfish, and the blackberry dessert. All amazing. Highly recommend this place!
christopher evensen
What a hidden gem right in east asheville. Just moved over to the east side and Google mapped some restaurants in the area. Copper crown seemed interesting because it reminded us more of the modern, simple menu all stars in west Asheville and downtown. We happened to show up on a brunch Sunday and were blown away. We can't wait to make this our new local go to week after week. Great vibe, decor, friendly staff, AWESOME bar, and amazing food.
César Díez Sánchez
Omg. We ordered the tempura squash, fried green tomatoes and the burgers... Super goooood!!!
Ali Legault
Outstanding! Thomas was great and the food rivaled! Mushrooms, scallops, schnitzel and arugula salad all highly recommended.
Hannah Walker
Always had exceptional food here at great prices. I don't know why this place isn't more popular. The fried green tomatoes are awesome and they always have interesting desserts.
Jane Gates
Excellent cocktail and beverage list to pair with menu of small and large plates. Chef is skilled. Highly recommend to foodies.
Drew Wademan
14 friends and family were gathering in Asheville for the annual Winter Warmer beerfest and we always find a restaurant for Friday night's dinner. After a little research were chose Copper Crown this year due to the menu, reviews, drinks, and prices. We were not disappointed at all. The food was great as was the service. This is one of those small, hidden gems, that locals and loyals flock to. We'll definitely be back. Thanks!
G D
Excellent restaurant for smalls plates with friends or a romantic dinner for two. Also, recommend for brunch!
Erin Pope
Went with friends and shared multiple vegetable and protein small plates. I can sometimes be a finicky eater and I enjoyed everything I ate, like beef tongue, mussels and curried radishes, just to name a few. Oh, and the chocolate pot de creme....DELICIOUS! I'm looking forward to the next time, to try more of the many plates.

Had dinner here during a short stopover in Asheville. I had trout and my friend had catfish. Both were delicious. Beer and Cocktail selection were also very good. Staff were friendly. Highly recommend.
Judi Jetson
Everything was super delicious - roasted brussel sprouts, trout on rice grits, and $5 wine on Wednesdays. Sort of noisy, but this place has a neighborhood bar atmosphere, so that's ok.
tony turbyfill
Food and Service is by far amazing!. I wish i could give more than 5 stars. Even though they messed up my Manhattan the first time with an olive (ew). But fixed it my second visit. friendly staff. By far the best food in town
Norma Bradley
Great menu, interesting flavors and friendly service. Friends treated me to lunch for a birthday celebration. I sm vegetarian and found foof to eat. My friends ordered desert as abirthday treat and it was yummy and it was on the house.
So glad this place to dine is in our neighborhood. We host guests through Airbnb and our guests also loved the food and service. Thank you Copper crown.
Alonza Spain
I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. Made a reservation and table ready on arrival. Everything was fresh and service was great. Would definitely return!
Steve Greenleaf
Nice and quaint place, but nothing special. We had a good brunch there and had a good time. Probably need to visit again to get a better feel for it. Certainly don't want to discourage anyone from going.
Brandon Blake
Gotta try Cooper Crown if you are in the area. It was recommended to us by a local and we couldn’t be happier. Their small plates are not small and are the best way to try a variety of options. Fresh local food with a menu that changes based on what they have on hand makes it that much more unique.

Fabulous place: great food with a local culinary focus and first class service! Love the Spicy Buffalo Fried Green Tomatoes and the Cauliflower Appetizers! Friendly and knowledgable staff - with a interesting wine selection, too (not the same old, same old). Their team cares about the community, too! Recently enjoyed the Cauliflower at a special event supporting WNC's The Hope Chest, helping women with breast & gynecological cancers. One visit and it, too, will be your Asheville favorite! "Where the locals go!"

Stopped here as a dinner break on our way to Brevard from a recommendation by a local CVS pharmacist - clearly an underrated service they provide in addition to minor medical advice. We were seated immediately but at a table outside which was a bit chilly. My mom asked the waitress to be reseated inside and even though all the tables were reserved or taken, she managed to save three seats at the bar for us and helped us carry everything in. My water glass was never empty, and the waitress was just the right amount of attentive. The food was pretty good, the grilled bok choy was excellent, but the service made it a five star experience.
Laura Adams
Creative, beautiful, yummy food! Great bar, beer, cider, wine selection. This place was busy even on a Monday night so make reservations. Will definitely eat here again!
Christine Seabright
Really interesting food with large and small plates. I had a crawfish ravioli with local goat.cheese and andouille relish. Because I ate a small plate I had a desert of basil and lime infused short cake with a blueberry sauce and home made whip cream.

I've lived in Asheville for thirty years and a former food professional. Copper Crown is my go-to place. Whether it's solo for a great quick cocktail and snacks at the bar or with a group of friends to celebrate a special occasion this jewel is hands down my favorite. That is saying something in a town with many many food choices in Asheville. My hat goes out to the owners for consistency and incredible attention to detail. All the best for your continued success.
Gary Burge
Great menu of small (4 seared scallops), interesting salads, and large plates (trout with red potatoes) so you can tailor your meal to your appetite. Excellent service too.
Greg Thorson
We switched our reservation on the strong recommendation of our Airbnb host. No regrets at all, this was one of the two or three best places on our 5th anniversary trip.
The one quibble with Copper Crown is that Uber's drivers need help finding it (not the restaurant's fault). Due to a bug in Uber's mapping software, drivers are told to turn in at the wrong intersection, which leads them to come back around and turn aft the wrong intersection instead. Probably is worth calling the restaurant for some landmark based tips in the last half mile. Very much worth it though.

I am gluten-free and have many choices here. I typically stop by once a week, and my most common order is a Glutiny beer and the blackened catfish. The crispy Brussels sprouts are also fabulous.

Blueberry poppy muffin appetizers were amazing!! I will be back for them. However everything else was great too. Friendly atmosphere great for brunch
Mitchell Fruecht
One of the best meals in Asheville! Everything I have had here has been delicious. The service is wonderful and the cocktails are fantastic. An absolute gem!
Dylan Stearns
Amazing spot for a nice dinner. Think they deserve a much better location, the restaurant is much more than the area deserves. Don't let appearances deceive.
Curtis Partridge
Do yourself two favors. Eat here and make a reservation. The ham schnitzel is amazing. Hanger steak is also very tasty with the mushroom ragu.
charles petite
Cool, cozy place. We had to sit at the bar. No problem though. The bartender, Tim, was very attentive. Great atmosphere and patrons.
Cindy Cyr
Brussel sprouts were the best ive ever had. Apparently recommend a reservation we ate at the bar. Good wine list. Swordfish was perfect.
Amy Smith
Beautiful little place in a beautiful location, the cocktail I had was sooo good. It had whisky, chartreuse, lime, nutmeg, who knows what else! We are going back for a proper meal tomorrow!
Danny Baxley
We loved it! We had a potato soup that was awesome. The burgers are amazing. The catfish was superb. Also, had the chicken sandwich and loved it too.
Brad Howell
Good wine selection. Great chef who is creative and who uses local ingredients. The burger, oddly enough, is amazing! It's all amazing...
Bill Tatum
Fantastic experience.
Food was amazing start to finish.
Service was spot on and with a wonderful smile. We will definitely come back and bring someone with us.
Amanda Farrell
Food was great 👌. Went for early dinner without a reservation. Place was empty, but almost all tables were reserved within the next hour. Best to make a reservation if you plan on peak weekend dinner time. …
Barbara Fetterolf
Traveling through with my daughter. She has a knack for picking great restaurants. The Copper Crown falls into that category. We ordered all small plates to share. Fried green tomatoes, seared scallops, and the corvina. My daughter thought the corvina was one of the best fish dishes she has had.
David Parham
The food and drinks are fantastic, and the prices are reasonable. There's a great assortment of gluten free dishes which were especially tasty.
Will Evans
We went for our 10th anniversary and it was wonderful. Everyone at the restaurant was very nice and the menu is as unique as Asheville. Food was expertly prepared. Thanks for a great dinner

Best restaurant in Asheville hands down! ;) chef Adam has the best food in the south, friendly staff, great drinks, and an all around great atmosphere. Anyone passing up this restaurant is mental!

The food was absolutely delectable. Generous portions and reasonable prices, too. Very much appreciated the covid-19 precautions in place inside & outside. Highly recommend this place :)

This is one of the best neighborhood restaurants in Asheville. The mixed drinks and beer selection is tops. The menu is wonderful with locally sourced produce and meats that are seasonal

Auretha, Seer, Stylist & Empowerment Coach
I adore their drinks, bartender and menu. The pace is very very slllloooowwwww there. We planned for an early dinner and ended up closing it down. Reservations are now required! Nonetheless, we shall return..with reservations!!!
Tabitha
Awesome double burger!!! Drum fish and chips was good. The fish was prepared well but a little fishy for my taste. Wonderful atmosphere.
H Dawg
I haven't been in years since moving across town. The food is awesome, plates are large, prices are good, and the service tonight was amazeballs! We'll be back!
John Polefko, Sr
Friendly and comfortable, and the food was very good. We got the pork tenderloin and a burger both were outstanding, the service was great and it really has a good atmosphere.
Pam Copeland
Atmosphere nice unique dishes, service great!
Brent Taylor
Food and service were excellent in taste, timing and presentation. We sat at the bar [ only seating available ]. The bartender, though very busy, was friendly, helpful and entertaining.
Julie Mogle
Great little restaurant! Food is fabulous. Make reservations! This place fills up even on weekdays.
Laura Dressel
First time here. Not my kind of atmosphere...too quiet and staff was unfriendly. Sat at the bar and was met by an utterly uninterested bartender. He didn't smile the entire time and had no feedback on the food or drinks when asked...food was delicious but we likely won't be back.
Cory Chenevert
I had a wonderful meal at the Copper Crown when we were vacationing in Ashville. Nice patio, excellent food (both the tempura okra & Hi-Fi Burger were great) & attentive service.
Jason Tomasin
Wonderful atmosphere, the food was delicious. You may want to make a reservation, they do get quite busy.
Skylar Wooden

Excellent food, charming space. An Asheville favorite!
Ann Bejcek
We were looking for a farm to table restaurant in Asheville. What an awesome place. Their menu is varied and fresh. Service was great. We will go there again.
Mattie Walker
Service is extremely slow. 1 hr 20 mins for lunch. Maybe it was a day servers called out. Who knows?! Food was unique...fried brussel sprouts with feta cheese drizzled with caramel.
J B
Awesome restaurant. Menu is constantly changing, with delicious creative dishes moving on and off. If you are tired of your local haunts make a trip out to East Asheville.
Del B
If you haven’t yet discovered the pleasantries of Asheville’s Copper Crown, you must add this little gem to your list. You won’t regret it.
Dustin Angell
I just finished a great burger and some tasty sprouts. I think this is only the second time I've eaten brussel sprouts, but I couldn't resist after reading the reviews.
Andrew Yeager-Buckley
You can tell when a restaurant has taken the time to perfect every dish on the menu. From the small plates, appetizers to entrees everything is delicious.
Gary Brinck
A rather modest menu and not much in the way of standard American items. Patio is decent but not far from highway. We had lunch outside, so can't comment on dinner.
James Roberts
Never had a bad meal here. Downtown quality without the crowd. Menu rotates seasonally, remember to save room for bread pudding!
Irfan Fazli
I was so delighted with the quality of food and the service. Can't decide which exceeded the other. Bbq shrimp and catfish were finger licking good. Must visit place.
