Reviews of Biscuit Head
Ashlee Wasley
This place was delicious. It should be on your list to visit if you are close, just be prepared to wait in line but it is worth it. We all tried something different the French toast was amazing the biscuits are delicious they even have a jelly station where you can pick out what different types of jellies and butters that you want for your biscuit that was so fun. You walk in to the door on the left and you place your order at the counter and they give you a number and you go sit down at a table and then they bring the food to you when it’s ready.

Do not be discouraged when you pull up and there's a line outside, the staff is amazing and the line goes quick!! And if the line took a bit the food is so worth it. The biscuits are literally the size of a cat's head! A goal would be to try everything on the menu. So many great dishes. And let's talk about the yummy coffee drinks. Anything with bacon speaks to my heart. The jams and jellies are amazing and such wonderful flavors. Will definitely come back next time we're in town.

Great place for breakfast. Where I’m from, this would not be worth the 50 minute wait, but in Asheville seems everywhere has a wait. The price is right and everything was good. The sandwich was a little on the cold side, but not bad. The jams were amazing and the coffee was also great. Be prepared to wait a good amount of time but if you don’t mind waiting, the food will be pretty good.

There are a lot of 5 star reviews and I am hesitant with my 3 stars. 😀 The staff was excellent with warm greetings and table check-ins. We are visiting and someone suggested Biscuit Head. They had me at biscuit.
The menu leans toward the heavy and unhealthy, but there is nothing wrong with that on occasion. I went for the biscuits. Unfortunately, they weren’t the star of the menu. It had an ok taste, it broke apart, and wasn’t warm enough to melt the butter. I tried my partner’s gluten free biscuit and it was much better, in my opinion, than the regular.
The scrambled eggs were fluffy and tasty. The bacon was awesome. I loved the idea that they take many traditional southern recipes and add their local flair. For instance, the pimento cheese grits were different, yet, tasty. The jam bar was awesome. The different flavors that they offer are remarkable. The coffee was exceptional. The portions were plentiful. I couldn’t eat all of my breakfast.
In short, it was a great experience. There is something on the menu for most if not all. The biscuits weren’t for me, but I’m in the minority on that one. 😂 It was a great decision to go there. I enjoyed it.

I’ve eaten a lot of biscuits in my life, so I am definitely not saying this lightly when I say, this was the best biscuit I’ve ever had. It was the taste of a biscuit with the consistency of cornbread was wonderful. The fried green tomato paired with the country ham was perfect. Absolutely to die for. Be prepared to stand in line. We came on a Monday morning and there were still people out the door.

4 stars for being such a small location and having to stand outside to wait. Once we got inside it was all good, you order at the counter and then go to your table. Our food came out within a few minutes and everything was delicious! I had the fried chicken sandwich covered in gravy, but the best thing I tried was the country ham.

This was a place that came highly recommended - and it met those expectations! We must have arrived at the perfect time. There was no line. We were barely even seated for a minute before our food came out. I ordered the Southern Scramble and my husband ordered the Filthy Animal. We also ordered the biscuit donuts (the lemon curd was SO GOOD). Make sure you are very hungry - you get a lot of food!

This restaurant has been on my wish list for years, ever since I borrowed their cookbook from the local library. I was finally in the area and able to go, and it did not disappoint! The biscuits are huge, and everything is beautifully plated. I’d strongly recommend the gravy flight, which isn’t on the menu, but the waitress recommended to try three different gravies with one and a half biscuits. We’re biscuits and gravy traditionalists in our house (Biscuit, butter, honey, pork sausage gravy), but their unexpected gravy and jam combinations were surprising and delicious! The jam station was a nice surprise - I’d particularly recommend the peach rosemary jam with the fried chicken gravy. This location was super busy and didn’t have quite as much sitting room as the other locations, but the service was super friendly and super fast.

Very very delicious. Best gluten free biscuits I've ever had! A bit expensive for breakfast but the portions are huge, so it's a great option for brunch if you want to get stuffed. Very unique flavor choices and the menu is very adaptable. Me and my fiance both had special orders, including my gluten free eggs benedict with added tomatoes and smoked tomato cream cheese. Absolutely delicious. 😋🤤

Biscuit Head is located in Doctor's Park, which may be required, as a plate from this quick service spot could send you into a food coma. The line out the door shouldn't scare you, as the ordering process is seamless with quality recommendations by the cashiers. With a jam bar, all made in house, and several types of coffee to choose from.
I snagged The Filthy Animal, which was topped with a slightly spicy "pimento" cheese. Talk about a high quality, fluffy biscuit! Paired with thick bacon and a juicy piece of fried chicken, you just can't lose. The Southern Scramble was a dish anyone would like, we added Sriracha Maple sausage. We also snagged the fried green tomato stack (featured on the scramble dish.) Let me tell you, the slight bittersweet tomato against the pimento cheese just sang, it was really a masterful execution of flavor.
You won't need salt or pepper on any of these dishes, as they're perfectly seasoned out of the kitchen just as expected. Enjoy y'all!

By far one of the most amazing biscuit dishes you will ever have in your life. A must stop for breakfast in the Asheville area! The texture and freshness is superb, along with the array of unique jellies or gravies! The berry and apple pie are the best! They have a flavored latte and a bacon of the day which is really nice to try something new! They also serve mimosas or Bloody Mary's!

We walked here from our hotel on a chilly, slightly windy morning. Upon arrival, there was a line that we were committed to standing in due to the walk plus hey, if there’s a line that early in the morning, the place has to be good right?
Well, we got a “fast pass” and found out you could order online so we did, our food was ready in minutes and we were able to eat in the parking lot at one of the many tables they have setup for takeout.
The biscuit… DELICIOUS! The biscuit was so moist and fluffy with great texture yet it stayed together. The egg was just perfect to compliment the biscuit (I hate when places skimp on the egg and it barely is part of the sandwich), and the thick cut bacon, great flavor and a very very nice cut of bacon! Their home made hot sauces and jam were a great add, my girlfriend likes the hot sauce so much she wanted to take one home.
Absolutely delicious and definitely worth the wait. This is a new staple for us when in Ashville!

The food here was amazing! We were on a trip traveling through the area and discovered this place. The menu has all kinds of great options. This is a must stop if your in the area. Everything we had was great!
kelli wirtz
Food was very good and fresh! Biscuits were fluffy and delicious. Definitely try all of the homemade jams! The creative coffee drinks were good but not super strong but a great addition to your meal!
Great parking for the area. It's a small space so be patient if you are a big group or have kids but don't let that deter you! Make the trip and get some yummy food!

Eggcellent breakfast place. We had to do takeout because the line for dine in was insane at over an hour. However, the takeout order was prepared quickly. Biscuits were soft and flakey. Fried green tomato was tasty. The biscuit "French toast" was amazing. They also have special jams available. Definitely a must try place in Asheville for breakfast.
Jeff Cupp
Had a long line but got served within 20 minutes. Inside looks awesome and they have out door seating. Staff was great. Biscuit tasted amazing, as well as the eggs. Fried chicken had good flavor. Mimosas available as well for fair price. Would definitely recommend!
Monica Amaya
We were passing through Asheville on a road trip and decided to pick a brunch spot for a break. I'm so glad we chose Biscuit Head because it was exactly what we were hoping for. The food is well seasoned, flavorful, and cooked fresh. The staff was friendly, and the food came out so fast we barely waited. We also enjoyed a seasonal latte, and the outdoor seating was nice and shady (ps. dog friendly patio). There was no crowd on a weekday. What an awesome brunch spot!

While planning our trip to Asheville one of the top breakfast places to check out was Biscuit Head. They have many locations throughout Asheville which made finding one close to where we needed to be convenient. As soon as landed we headed straight over for breakfast before we made our way the Biltmore and this was on the way.
It’s located in a building that is shared with other places and you would never expect it to be there and upon walking up it does look very busy but that is because of the way their system is. You order before entering, get a number and find a table. The staff was very warm and welcoming. The menu has so many options which made finding the right item difficult. Not a bad thing!
I ordered the Mimosa Fried Chicken Biscuit with a cappuccino and my husband ordered the Half Breakfast and added fried chicken with a Maple Bacon Latte that was FIRE! I had major regrets after I tried his latte.
The mimosa fried chicken was amazing, the flavors were great. Sweet, savory and just the right balance of the kick from the sriracha. My only complaint is that it’s a sandwich and the biscuit - although nice, airy and super fluffy - made it holding the chicken and everything else nearly impossible. It becomes a fork and knife situation because the biscuit is just so delicate it falls apart. I didn’t mind but I kind of wanted to just take a bite out of it.
Other than that the service is incredibly fast, the food was great tasting and seating was easy peasy. I definitely recommend.
Allan Montero
Came in on a Monday to see a line out of the door already this was right at 9 am. It didn't disappoint. The biscuits were absolutely delicious and the chicken gravy was yummy! The hit of the meal was the biscuit french toast! We will def be coming back here when we visit!
LW Evans
The GF biscuit was wonderful as were the fried green tomatoes and homemade jams! Worth the wait - the staff made things go fast and efficient. Wasn’t impressed with the cleanliness or lack of or the attire of a few staffers😑
Karen Torres
The food was delicious and the service was great. We had to wait in line for a few minutes but it was worth it! The place is nice and cozy with a really cool vibe.
AlleaseEllis
Loved this place
Service was great
Food was amazing, however they were very heavy on the powdered sugar, not a fan.
There preservatives & jellies were amazing & taste fresh. Definitely will be back.
Only downfall was this specific location was very small so not alot of dine in room.
Devin Gibson
Went with my wife, I liked it more than her. I ordered the country ham biscuit that I found to be quite good. We also ordered the Sake Bloody Mary that I found to be sort of watered down. Definitely would go back and try it again.
Akilah C
Don’t come here if you’re trying to watch your diet. Just order the Filthy Animal and be done with it. Enjoy.
As you can see, I really enjoyed the cat theme and the cat shirts employees were wearing. I really like cats.
Melissa Eier
If you love a good biscuit then you must go to Biscuit Head. Stopped on my last morning in Asheville and the food was even better than I remembered.
The biscuits are A 10/10. Perfectly flaky and a great flavor. The biscuits are also large, one breakfast sandwich is filling, no need to worry about leaving hungry. This time I had the chicken biscuit. The chicken is so flavorful and was cooked just right, but I also recommend getting the chicken gravy to take it to the next level of flavor. I also tried the shiitake mushroom gravy this time. The gravy is very earthy and robust; if you like a more umami flavor, then you should definitely try it out.
If you’re looking for more, the pimento cheese grits are incredible. The jalapeño pimento is so well balanced; provides a subtle heat without overpowering the dish. The grits are rich and creamy and it was the perfect addition to my biscuit. Lastly, THE LATTES! Wow. Out of this world flavor combinations. We had the Nutella and Maple Bacon. You’ll be hard pressed to find a double espresso flavored latte for only $5. Exceptional food and service.
I recommend ordering online and taking your food to a nearby park to eat. The pickup experience was convenient and smooth. Our order was ready exactly at the time we ordered and packaged nicely. Also, their online ordering system is great, super easy to make customizations to your food and just a really user friendly platform. Can’t wait to come back the next time I’m in town; it’s my favorite breakfast spot!

I mean this with every fiber of my being. This was the best brunch of my life. The fried bologna biscuit is a MUST and I literally felt my soul leave my body when I ate the donuts. 10000/10
Mike Dodson
Great breakfast food. Top notch biscuits and gravies. Delicious jellies. Everything is made like it goes on the cover of a magazine. They Gluten free biscuits! No other restaurant I know of does that. Vegan and celiac friendly menu. I like this location more than Haywood road only because it's cozier. Oh, and they have a hot sauce that is actually spicy for heat seekers out there.
Boedi Didiet
This place was good. I always saw people waiting in line outside. The restaurant is very cramped, the tables are so close to each other. The staffs are very helpful and nice, friendly.
We ordered country ham biscuit - the biscuit was very good, but the ham was so salty. I couldn't finish it. We also ordered biscuit with Sriracha mapple sausage - this was very tasty. I recommend this when you visit. The coffees were very good.
Jake G
Was looking for a place to eat brunch that allowed dogs. This place did not disappoint. I got the fried green tomato biscuit and my g/f got the benedict biscuit. Both were delicious. Their biscuits are on point. Big yet light and fluffy!
Jake Hudgins
Showed up to a line out the door… boy do I feel bad for the few people I saw leave the line. It moves fairly quick and definitely worth the wait. The best meal we had in Asheville by far. I had the country ham biscuit with a side of their pimento cheese grits. My mouth waters just remembering the taste to write about it. My wife wanted me to include her fruit cup was really good as well!

What a FUN and Delicious Restaurant. The Biscuits were Fabulous and the Apple Butter was my Favorite on them . My Husband LOVED the Fried Bologna eggs Benedict. This will be our NEW Favorite Breakfast place when we come to town.
Bill Rodriguez
Stopped in while visiting Asheville. DO NOT MISS THIS STOP. Biscuits were amazing. Had an egg, chicken and cheese biscuit, wife had the egg benedict biscuit, also amazing. Home fries and gravy topped off. Long lines at the door but we put our order in and had our food within 5 minutes. Location was a bit odd in a medical plaza but hey, it worked. GREAT FOOD, GREAT SERVICE, be back on our next visit.
Lauren S.
The food has always been pretty great. Although, I did ask for over medium eggs which turned out to be over easy. Other than that, everything else was delicious. The service is good here too and options.
Christopher Elliott
What can you say about Biscuit Head that hasn't been said? If there's a RIGHT way to make biscuits, it's here. Perfection.
The fresh squeezed OJ is pretty darn tasty as well
Carly Dodds
This was our favorite breakfast place that we tried in Asheville! The biscuits are huge, fluffy, and delicious! And there are options for everyone, from a traditional egg breakfast (with a biscuit of course, and choice of lots of sides) to breakfast sandwiches (like the funky Nutella Elvis with banana and bacon!) We will definitely be coming back if we are in Asheville!
andy reed
AHmazing! Possibly the best breakfast I've ever had, and creative coffee drinks too go with it. It's a unique little place, moves along fast and you will not be disappointed
Michael Torbert
Ok so the food was actually very tasty, but some of it was odd. It was like a person moved to the south where they heard of some southern foods and tried to make them. The result being foods that weren’t bad, just different. I felt like I was in a foreign country eating what they think American food is like.
The “sausage gravy” was some sort of gravy with crumbled sausage on top. The biscuits were similar to biscuits, but different enough.
The sausage was a square, and didn’t really taste like breakfast sausage, but was still not bad.
Meredith Johnson
Love Biscuit Head! The biscuits are delicious and fluffy. Try the berry bomb jam from the bar. The line moves quick & the food is worth it!
Carlos C
Top 3 for me when it comes to biscuits.
The filthy animal was top notch, flavourful chicken was deliciously smothered. I did sub regular bacon with the bacon of the day (honey buffalo) and it did not disappoint!
The jelly bar also had free samples of unique jellys so on my way out, I had to order a biscuit to go and enjoy later-- personal favorites were the berry and peach rosemary.
Highly recommend.
N Garland
Great food. Loved the grits! It was super crowded on the day we visited but even with the wait/line it was worth the visit. Don’t forget to try the jam bar! 😃 …
Autumn S
I would fist fight my mother in a Denny's parking lot at midnight if it meant I got to eat here one more time. This food is amazing. We got the French toast biscuits and the Sloppy Animal. So good.
Amanda McHugh
YUM! Stopped here while traveling through the area and am glad I did! There might be a long line but trust me it is worth the wait. Recommend some freshly squeezed OJ and the bacon of the day. They also make & sell jams & hot sauces you can snag before you leave.
Christine Thompson
Really great food, great experience and I loved the cat theme of the location. Staff was very knowledgeable of their food and answered all my questions regarding my food restrictions. Definitely recommend eating here for breakfast even if there is a wait! It's worth it!
Angel Cuevas
A very good place, although small. The treatment was spectacular and we even talked a little. It's always packed so I suggest you get there early. excellent meal.
Janet
This place gets busy. The food was amazing. The fresh biscuits with homemade jams/jelly so so good. 8 loved the sour cherry and bought a jar for $7.
Go just have patience the staff is excellent and moves a quickly as they can.
Madeline
The menu sounded great! Presentation was nice and it was tasty. I had the Mimosa biscuit sandwich. I unfortunately found a dog hair in my food 😭 but I was hungry and I ate on.
Jamie Lopez
The biscuit was light and fluffy. The coffee was good as well. We chose takeout instead of eating in. It was fast only 10 minutes for the food. The jams are great too.
Ahmed Said
Delicious, be prepared to wait as they are usually busy. They have different hot sauces to choose from. The fried green tomatoes biscuits were so yummy.
Aj Froman
Heavenly biscuits! There is usually a line but the staff is very adept at making sure it is moving quickly.
👎bloody mary
❤️mimosa fried chicken …
Brandon
fantastic food! very comfort food with amazing biscuits and extraordinary jams. i literally couldn’t get enough. i will be back when i return to asheville!
Adina
This is such a unique and delicious breakfast place. Not only do they have a great menu with your eggs, pulled pork biscuits, collard greens, and more. They have a jam and butter bar that has interesting and delicious homemade jams like rosemary peach a cobbler butter spread. Amazing drip coffee and GLUTEN FREE BISCUITS! 10/10 every time. And the staff are all so nice.
Michael Waddell
The decor is nothing special - just a hole-in-the-wall in a non-descript office park. But the food is amazing! Possibly the best biscuits I've ever had, with a ton of great Southern food options. They even have vegan biscuits, if that's your thing.
Morir Comiendo
You have got to try this spot! The line looks long but I was amazed at how fast the orders come out! Like at Chick-fil-A speed! I tried the filthy animal, it was HUGE and delicious, the French toast was also very good. Definitely will be coming back!
J-Kube
Great spot for breakfast. Long line. But we’ll worth the wait. Loved the food and atmosphere.
Tstdamo1
I am not exaggerating when I say this. I visited Asheville in January and I have dreams about this food. I am not kidding when I say that I want to have a second home in Asheville just so I can be close to this place. The mountains are nice too.
Stellar.
Ransley Carpio
Casual nature of the setting and extremely fun staff made the experience. Food was 3/5. Although oversized, the biscuit was dry. Sausage was extremely over cooked.
Although it was a good experience, I’ll now continue my exploration of a good biscuit in AVL. Don’t feel the need to come back.
Fred H
Simply amazing. Wow. Oh. My. Goodness. This is the best biscuit place I've visited- hands down. This took me off my lifestyle change and was worth every bit of it. Great service, great food and just all around good experience.
Ethan Abitz
wowza! what a spot. everything was top notch. got there around 1 pm on a monday and there was no wait, but would absolutely say it’s worth a wait. the flavors, the quality. everything was great.
hayden phuong
Delicious food for a good price. Only problem is that it may be hard to find a parking spot we just gave up after circling around five times and parked at the doctors office tucked away with the trees to avoid getting towed. Also there was no line at 9AM on a Tuesday.
Edit 1/10/23: went again still delicious tried the daily bacon which was a honey banana buffalo bacon the flavor was very banana forward quite an interesting flavor for bacon.
Nathan Todd
Truly fantastic! I've had several biscuit and gravy offerings and this was hands down the best. The line stacks up quick on the weekends but service is quick making this a great experience!
Michael Watson
Lovely food, great staff, good vibes… such a lovely brunch experience and a taste of the south with all the best bits combined in a funky way. I’m not a big ‘biscuit’ guy, but these were delicious.
William Vaughan
I'm not usually a biscuits and gravy kind of guy so I was a bit skeptical going in. I was pleasantly surprised how delicious the food was. My friends and I were down for a bachelor weekend and we gave Biscuit Head a try. There was a little bit of a wait but did not last long at all. The staff was very accommodating and the atmosphere was inviting. The food came out really quick. I highly recommend the filthy animal on the menu. If I am ever back down that way again I am going to be sure to visit.
Deanna Watts
We got the Filthy Animal and the Fried Green Tomato Biscuit. We liked the Filthy Animal better. Great service. Cool little spot.
Zechariah Etheridge
See below for Conclusions ( this place is F****ing phenomenal ).
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to snap photos of the entrees before they were devoured, but everything here is great.
They are doing Gods work at this place. Be patient with them because they’re going to be busy. It’ll be worth the wait.
Raven Livingston
When I first got here there was a line out the door but I didn't wait long about 20min tops the service was fast an friendly. Very popular and busy place and they only stay open until two. I had the french toast biscuit and pimento cheese grits with home style fries and freshly squeezed orange juice. The food was very tasty. I liked the pimento cheese in grits however the grits texture was the best but it served as a great dipping sauce for my home style potatoes
Katie Upchurch
This place is DELICIOUS! My daughter loved her Nutella biscuit and my fried green tomato biscuit was wonderful. The coffee was super tasty as well. The whole vibe is cozy - adorable interior (great if you're a cat lover!) And the staff is helpful and warm. Can't wait to visit again!
Jonathan Su
This is how good the biscuits are: I ate here, was inspired to buy their recipe book, made their biscuits at home and they were still delicious. Everything here is done the old fashioned way, and it shows: attention to not just the biscuits but the bacon, the eggs, and everything in between. It’s not the least expensive biscuit I’ve ever had but it’s done with no shortcuts, and I think it’s worth it. There’s a jam bar which has an enormous array of really amazing flavors. Even the iced tea is good.
Ed H
Absolutely wonderful. The line forms early but moves quickly as the staff is efficient and friendly. I was given a tip from some local friends who said this is the best Biscuit head location. While I can’t compare with the other locations this was a delicious breakfast place. Unassuming location and at the time no indoor seating but plenty of parking.
Kaitlyn Bertic
This breakfast is to die for!! I ordered the ham & fried green tomato biscuit with the pimento cheese grits on the side — WOW! My husband and I could not believe how amazing everything was. Those grits are something else. 10/10 recommend! The service is also super fast & friendly even if there’s a line.
Tony Santoro
we had an excellent breakfast here. the biscuits are huge and flaky. jellies and sauces are homemade and delicious. get there early or the line gets long.
kdee shearer
I was visiting Asheville and looking for gluten free food when I found Biscuit Head. Delicious GF biscuit and probably the best ham I’ve ever eaten in my life. Also, the local chai was amazing. I can’t wait to come back
Amy McBride
We visited for the first time a few days ago and we agreed to come back every time we visit Asheville. Such a cool, little place, with great customer service and fantastic food.
Ebbs Teeh
Out of Towner's, we were SOOO happy we found this place. We usually like to try things once and move on but my husband and I loved this place so much we went back every day of our trip. Definitely worth a bite!
Austen Green
As far as the service, I have no complaints. The staff was very nice. I had the filthy animal biscuit. It was ok but i have to say the pimento cheese was a little too much and over powering. Also felt like i needed a tutorial on how to eat the biscuit because of how much was on it. There jelly/jam bar was great a lot of different choices and liked em all but there were a couple that were awesome. All in all though I wish Id ordered something else and chose to eat at a different location with more room. Its a novelty restaurant to go experience the insanely loaded biscuits.
Denise Sproed
Loved the biscuits, choices of gravy and the jam and honey. Vegan sauce was delicious.
Kyle Doney
Super good! Got the pulled pork (employee fav) and it was good all around. Great biscuit, poached egg, bacon, and pulled pork. Delicious!
Bryan H
The wait is worth it even if its cold or raining outside I promise! Everything we've tried over several visits has been outstanding. I'd suggest if your appetite can handle it you order the Filthy Animal and upcharge to the Sausage gravy. Add some Blueberry jalapeno hot sauce to your chicken and go to town. I know there are other breakfast/brunch places around town but I'm not sure I'll ever give them a chance knowing how good and consistent. this place is 10/10!
Eugene Lee
Delicious biscuits and fried chicken. Unique and tasty hot sauces. Very friendly staff. Must have the biscuit donuts with lemon curd dipping sauce.
Chris Kennedy
The food is good. The biscuits are a little crumbly which is not preferable to me but the flavor was great. There is a communal table so i sat next to someone i didn't know but i saw that person in town later and we are best friends now so that's cool and not weird at all. Go to biscuit head and you might make friends there.
Kaz Bieluch
Wow! One of the best biscuits I’ve ever purchased. The texture was soft on the inside and perfectly crisped exterior. The flavor was a combination of cooked biscuit and rich buttermilk flavor. YUM!
Creative biscuit combo sandwiches. But damn that biscuit flavor was on point!
Virginia Joy
Delicious! We came here while visiting Asheville and it was a delicious brunch spot. I had the fried chicken gravy with a biscuit and a fruit cup. They have a really fun concept with the jam/butter bar. If I had noticed it before I ordered I might have just gotten a plain biscuit. But we loved this spot and would return!
Pam Clifford
Yum!! So many delicious choices. Biscuits are incredible and huge. Lots of choices for jams and flavored butters. We left jammy-packed and happy. Very busy place; be prepared to wait. Very much worth the wait.
Kristen Johnson
Delicious! The vibe is awesome and the food was delicious! The wait outside wasn’t awful either.
- Lon
Absolutely delicious! The caramel lattes aren’t overly sweet, the biscuits are satisfyingly crunchy on the top and light/fluffy inside, and the fruit cup is ACTUALLY great. Usually sides of fruit are unripe melon etc but this had banana, strawberry, oranges and red grapes. Can’t wait to go back!
Jule K
This is our 2nd time eating from BH & THIS time was (happily) head 'n shoulders above our last experience!! 👍👍 I'm glad I didn't just leave a review after that 1st time b/c it was NOT an usual situation. (Trip #1: just B4 closing "Pop-Up" shop; got some food that was tasteless, but also got Pupusas & they were very good which is why we went back...)
Trip #2: we got there around 1130a & we were IN LINE (a very friendly & smiling young lady handed out menus while we waited) about 20m total B4 we were able to put in our order. (LOVE that the tip is figured for you, you just pick the percentage you want to leave, no need to carry around dirty cash.) +15m wait after I placed my ORDER: Filthy Animal x2 😋 & the Pick 3 Sides Plate-Fried Green Tomatoes, Homefries & Pimento Cheese Grits, jams & FAB regular coffee. Ssooo worth the 2nd trip, wait, cost & all!! See ya'll again soon 😘
Mark Frisch
There's always a line, but it moves quickly. Be prepared to be squeezed in. Last time we were seated at a plank of wood attached to the wall by the bathrooms. The biscuit is a bit bland to eat on its own. I recommend the sandwich with either country ham or fried chicken. Somehow it's also cheaper than getting them not in sandwich form.
Emma Reid
Was so yummy!! I liked the sophistication of biscuits they offered lol. My family and I were served quickly even though it was fairly busy. I’m not from this area but would definitely recommend to anyone!
John Lockhart
I had the pimento cheese biscuit with bacon and gravy. It is huge and enough for two meals. All parts were delicious. Very rich and heavy. We took our dogs and sat outside - two or three tables.

I have to say this was the best food I have had for a place like this. The portions are big. You have to wait in line out the door. Once inside you order your food and pay. Then you are taken to a table with a number. You help yourself with soda and tea. They also have a jelly/jam bar where you help yourself. They bring your food to your table. The workers are very friendly and make sure you have everything you need. I was surprised the place operated so smoothly. The bathrooms were very clean. We will definitely be returning soon.

Ordered to go. Coffee was great, even had oat milk option. I got the fried green tomato biscuit. The biscuit met my expectations with it being light and fluffy but the fried green tomatoes had this thick batter and was extremely overcooked and mush on the inside. The tomato jam on top tasted like plain marinera sauce. Eggs were poached well. Maybe it would be different if it wasn't to-go but not worth the hype
Joe Hansen
Asheville Benedict was too acidic for my tastes, but the coffee, jams, and service were excellent. Would definitely go back and try their traditional full breakfast next time. Fried green tomatoes were great as were their hot sauces.
ThunderStroke91
Our first time, food was really great, wait wasn’t long. Some of the best biscuits and gravy I’ve ever had! I’m more of a chicken breast person, so I didn’t really like the chicken. But that’s just my preference, nothing bad to say about this place!
Karlnita Dixon
Jam Bar is incredible and they have vegan options...
Cassandra Seals
If I could give 28 stars, I would! Biscuit Head was sooooo good we chose to run it back before we left NC. It's cute, the food is incredible and the Maple Bacon Latte is delightful! Can't recommend this place enough! I'd drive 9 hours again just to have it!
Patty Limatola-Tanenbaum
This is a place that my girlfriend and I visited during the COVID-19 so I did not get a feel for what the restaurant was like as we had to sit outside. I was very grateful we got to sit outside as the food was delicious!
My girlfriend got the egg sandwich and potatoes it was six dollars and I opted for the biscuit, eggs and two sides and chose the fried green tomatoes and grits with pimento. I believe mine was $10 As I purchase both of our copies and I can't remember exactly.
The biscuit was to die for and I don't say that lightly it was light and fluffy crispy on the outside and just delicious and flavor. I also tried the rosemary jam which I loved as it was savory and sweet. The fried green tomatoes were OK nothing to write home about as anything fried is good, they just were not fresh so I am not into soggy or cool fried food. The grits were creamy and not hot so the cheese did not melt so I didn't get a feel for what it would really taste like. The biscuit is what stole the show in this meal and I would highly recommend coming just for the biscuits alone.
Alex L.
I've been to this location almost every time I've come to Asheville and they have yet to disappoint. Between the gravies and the jams, there's something for everyone here - sweet, savory, spicy, you name it. I was particularly impressed with the peach rosemary jam and bought a jar for later consumption, but I find myself wishing I'd also gotten one of the chili mango as well... such a perfect blend!
Hannah Joy Warran
Cute little “hole in the wall” restaurant making delicious food and drinks. It was loud like a diner and full to the brim with happy customers enjoying their brunch. Everyone was so friendly and my food came quick despite being very busy.
Alan Neustadtl
Small, kind of hole in the wall breakfast place. The food & atmosphere are great. I had 2 eggs, bacon, and a biscuit. The biscuit melts in your mouth and was excellent with a little berry bomb jam.
Alicia McGinnis
This location has their process down!! All small restaurants should follow their plan for preassigning tables. They do a great job of getting people in and out when they are busy. THE FOOD IS AMAZING!! And so many vegetarian options! I haven't been able to get restaurant biscuits and gravy for years. Great portions and fast service. A must stop in Asheville.
Colby Phillips
Ordered a biscuit with pork gravy, very good. Coffee is fresh and great. Staff very friendly, can get very busy and there’s not a lot of tables inside. Biscuits are also very large.
S Harrison
The biscuits are large and fluffy, but they fall apart too easily. Cappuccino is teeny tiny; I drove straight to Starbucks afterwards to get one big enough to satisfy my thirst. It would be nice if they handled ordering better for people standing in a long, chilly line outdoors. I'm a local and might try a different location but the one by the hospital is too small and crowded.
Sky M
I'm giving this place 3.5 stars. This place was good honestly . We were in town for the weekend and heard this was the place to go for breakfast . We ordered ahead on a Sunday morning and I'm glad we did because when we got there it was packed ! There was a super long line .
My husband and I both got the classic sandwich - so biscuit egg and cheese with one choice of a side I got bacon he got fried chicken . It was good - but I feel like I could make better at home ... we later found out from some locals we don't get the same experience because their inside was not open and apparently they have tons and tons of house made sauces to pick from that really makes this place over the top. The biscuit itself was really good though .
We did split another just plain biscuit and got a few jams and these jams were KILLER. Like I kinda wish I just got a biscuit with the jam because they were so good . We tried the apple pie , sour cherry, and strawberry and they were all literally out of this world they are a MUST.
Oh the other thing I forgot to mention is the biscuit literally crumbled into a billion pieces while I was trying to eat the sandwich which was very frustrating.
Jonathan Durichek
As a person who is gluten intolerant it is such a treat to be able to eat biscuits and gravy on the road. I have to say these biscuits are cat head biscuits because they are huge! I could only eat two and I was stuffed.
The homemade jelly was delicious too. You know this place must be good cause the lines are long to order. It is in a unique place with only outside seating because of coronavirus but it is nice.
Great staff, the food is amazing, good atmosphere.
Sapphire Scott
Food was FANTASTIC! Huge portions and the food was out in less than 10 minutes. I also ordered the Iced Lavender Latte as well. Easily one of my favorite things! If you like biscuits, flavor, and food - make sure you stop by here! :)
Elizabeth Sutton
Fun spot in Asheville, NC. It was busy with limited tables outside for eating. Service was quick and in enjoyed the chicken biscuit with spicy slaw and seeet potato butter. Definitely a hidden gem! Look at the cute bathroom wall art....it just screams out if this world. How much fun is that?
Peter Candelaria
This place is awesome! The food is phenomenal, the staff is super friendly and they were able to easily accommodate my daughter’s nut allergy. There’s no indoor seating, but the weather was great during our visit.
Carrie Wagler
We ordered online and our food was ready to go within 15 minutes. Really enjoyed the biscuit with sour cherry jam, fried chicken, and pimento grits. The grits may have been my favorite part! We also really liked the fried chicken and pork sausage gravy... we didn’t love the espresso red eye gravy... runny/strong coffee flavor.
Kristi Yama
I must say that I'm not a lover of buiscuts. This place changed my opinion. The menu was small but wonderful. I love the funky vibes inside and out. We got there right when it opened and the line was pretty long already. So expect a wait. It's worth it.
Steven Butler
If you are in Asheville, don't miss this place. It was so good. I wish I lived closer.
Deanna Crosby
So yummy for this cozy, cat-themed breakfast spot! Divine customer service with kind and pleasant staff.
Tom Gouthro
Good breakfast option on the South Slope. One star off as one member of our party received an undercooked biscuit, and two of us had complelety unmelted cheese on our sandwiches. That said, the food overall was good, and it came out quickly. I would return again.
Mike Veith
The food is great. Definitely worth the wait. I got the animal and the gingerbread hot chocolate. My girlfriend is super picky and really liked the food here too so that helped avoid an argument
J Boug
When we asked our friends for breakfast recommendations, almost every single one recommened Biscuit Head. We were fortunate enough to go here when they weren't busy so we didn't feel guilty about asking for recommendations and talking about the food. The lady who checked us out was incredibly friendly and helpful. Food was done quick and was amazing.
Sam Adams
Out of this world service. The biscuits were on point. The bacon was jerky and the shitake and pepper gravy not so good. No pepper flavor at all. You need to brown the flour before you add the milk or cream.
Claire DeGraw
Great service and delicious breakfast! We had to wait a bit in line outside but the line moved quickly. I got the full breakfast which includes two eggs, two sides and a biscuit. The maple bacon (bacon of the day) and gouda home fries were tasty. They have a complimentary jam bar where you can try many different jams, butters, and honeys with your biscuit. It was a wonderful way to start our morning in Asheville and we will be back on our next trip!
McCurdy Adventures
We are here last year and loved it, returning this year - food wasn’t warm and we ordered and eat in the restaurant, maybe just an off day but was a bit disappointing
Daniel Perez
Cool and hip spot to grab good coffee and great biscuits! The line was out the door, so be ready to wait, but I felt it was worth it. The food was generally really good. The varying eggs Benedict dishes were generous and tasty, although the biscuits were a tad too flaky as they'd crumble easily when cutting through all the toppings. They have an assortment of jams and honeys which were incredible and worth checking out on their own. Definitely recommend checking this place out!
Kyle Brannick
The line here was already pretty substantial at 9 am on a Saturday, so definitely be prepared to wait when you arrive. The biscuits definitely lived up to the hype, but I would get something other than the classic breakfast sandwich if I made it back as there were more exciting items on the menu that might have made the biscuit shine a bit more.
Lauren Kallen
Amazing spot for lunch! Super friendly staff and the food was amazing. There was a line out the door so be prepared to wait a little but it goes down quickly. The biscuits are huge and fluffy like! I had the fried green tomato which was delicious and what I thought would be the healthier option...I was probably wrong. It was a huge portion! Husband had fried chicken which was so good too. Make sure you try their whole selection of homemade jams. Such a solid place!
Justin N.
Very good southern food that will weigh you down. There are frequently lines, but they seem to very efficiently work through them. The dining area is more cramped and noisy at this location, but it also tends to have shorter waits than the west asheville location.
Gary Smith
The eggs and potatoes were fine, but they had the worst sausage gravy I have ever had the misfortune of being served. Garlic is NOT an ingredient for sausage gravy. Never!
Julie Stevens
Got a recommendation to go here from the bartender at my hotel. Boy did I get lucky. This place is amazing. Huge biscuits and the food is awesome. I got the special which was eggs, kale, local sausage, pickled onions, some kind of cheese and chives. There may have been some other stuff in there. When it was delivered I thought maybe it wasn't what I'd like but after the first bite I do believe I had a foodgasm. The flavors mixed so well together. Then the biscuit!!! WOW! Fluffy, butter and huge! And don't forget the jam bar full of all kinds of different jams, spreads and honeys. I couldn't finish everything on my plate which was so sad but I am pretty sure I'll be back tomorrow to try again.
andrew balliet
Seating is a bit tight but the food is amazing. I love the jams and jellies. The gravy is amazing. The biscuits are enormous and these aren't freezer biscuits, they're monster cathead biscuits.
Jamie Jackson
Stopped in on a rainy Memorial Day and it did not disappoint. Excellent biscuits. I had the mimosa fried chicken which was great, with a side of fried green tomatoes, and they were perfect. The line was out the door at both locations by 8:30, so go really early or be prepared for a wait. It moves relatively quickly, they have a pretty good system going. Don’t forget to stop by the jam bar! If you’ve never been there it’s pretty easy to walk by and not notice.
Kimberly
I love how well organized this place is! For being so just they did a great job getting people in but never feeling rushed. My boyfriend got the special (biscuit/egg/chicken/cheese/bacon) and really enjoyed it. I got the gravy flight which I recommend if you were leaning towards a gravy option. If you do this, you get to pick 3 gravies, and you get 3 half biscuits. My favorite part was that the biscuits weren’t covered in the gravy, so I could dip them in the ones I liked the most, but also use the try out the huge variety of jams they offered (banana foster and the amaretto were two different but good ones I tried). The only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 was while the biscuit and experience was good, and I would recommend this place, taste wise I had just had another biscuit somewhere else that I felt was a bit more indulgent.
Shameer Zahid
This place is a gem. A lot of the people who I asked for Asheville recommended Biscuit Head and the line outside was reassuring in terms of what i should expect. I was not discal pointed. Food was delicious and the service was fast. Highly recommend to anyone visiting! I was also a big fan of the tons of different jams and sauces they had put out for the biscuits!
Becky Klein
Definitely worth the 1hr+ wait in line. The place is cozy and you may share a table if you’re a party of two on busy days. The jam bar is awesome! I would recommend ordering an extra biscuit to try it out. As you can tell from the photos, the food is filling and a good portion size. You may want to hike afterwards as you might need a nap afterwards!
Polina Benoit
They are located in a residential looking building and have a pretty small seating are, which is far from comfortable. However, all of this does not matter, when their food tastes like this. Two biscuit with eggs Benedict become an exaggerate meal and you realize you have an empty plate in less than two minutes. They have a large spread of homemade jam and flavored butter and a very quick service. Show up early to beat the line, which can get very long!
Cheryl Bono
I give this cafe a 4 out of 5 stars only because of the waiting in line outside the restaurant. I loved the decor and the staff were super friendly. Coffee was good. Jam bar was amazing. Food was good and a lot of it. We almost went back the 2nd morning we liked it that much.
Hannah
Biscuit head is absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced! The atmosphere is fun and inviting and there is a nice porch out back for the warmer months. I loved my pulled pork biscuit, but in hind sight I probably would have gotten a plain biscuit and enjoyed all the tasty house made butters and jellies!
Kimberly Moans
I ALWAYS stop at Biscuit Head when visiting Asheville. It is a non-negotiable event, haha! I love it all but my go-to is the biscuit with pork gravy and a side of friend chicken.
There is usually a small wait but always worth it. Thank you!
Rahul Kalluri
Service was great and food came fast. Be sure to ask for their variety of hot sauces and jams. Biscuit was a little dry but I really enjoyed the whole meal.
Would recommend.
Leandra de Labastida
Great spot for breakfast! We came on a Monday during lunch hour. Their bacon of the day with Amaretto was delicious, I truly enjoyed the new flavor. All I wish is that it was crispier but that is just personal preferences.
They have various flavors of jams for your biscuits. Overall a good experience.
Marshall G
We decided to make a day trip to Asheville while on vacation in the mountains and this was our first stop. It was such a perfect beginning to our day. I was skeptical at first when I saw the line out the door with my hangriness creeping up on me in a major kind of way. However, it moved fairly quick and I was out at ease when I noticed their different method of ordering and seating visitors. The line is to place your order at a single register. Whilst in line, someone else was asking how many people were in your particular party. That info is saved at the register point and they have a number that is already prepared for you with the corresponding number placed where they have chosen for you to sit. This seemed to work very well in this quaint little place. I wouldn't be sure with larger parties when it's busy but there were only 2 of us so we sat after placing our order. I personally didn't veer too much from my comfort zone as I had a hankering for a typical bacon egg and cheese biscuit so that's what I requested with a side of their Gouda covered home fries. They have more eclectic biscuit dishes if you so desire but I was just wanting a specific taste that morning. The food is organically and locally sourced along with their coffee which is always a nice bonus for me. They also have a very amazing jam bar with unique flavors that will rock your socks off. The chili mango and orange clove were the favs this morning. And then the food came around...just jaw-dropping. But remember to keep picking it up so you can successfully consume your amazing biscuity breakfast. The staff was amazing, the food amazing, environment amazing so you obviously must come here. I might love this place too much. Just try it!
Marc W
This little breakfast and lunch place is amazing.
The staff is very helpful and will take great care of you.
Biscuit Head has a very good selection of food.
Everything is prepared fresh and you can taste this.
I'm glad that I researched the area and many reviews have helped.
This was a memorable breakfast experience.
Gwen Milder
Do yourself a favor and wait in the line for these biscuits. The biscuits and gravy (pork) were the best I've ever had (I still think about them) and the staff is friendly. The line moves pretty quickly but you can also call ahead and order pick up. Trust me, it's totally worth the hype.
Samarth Brahmbhatt
Hands-down the best biscuit experience I've every had! They are super vegetarian-friendly, all meats can be substitituted with chorizo.
Tried the biscuit+coconut sweet potato gravy, and the half-breakfast with coconut collard greens and poached eggs.
The S'mores latte is delicious!!
They have thousands of delicious jams!
Tiana Johnson
Just left this place. The biscuits are perfect consistency huge but not dry at all! I got the mimosa chicken and vegan collards. I think the collards were in a sweet potato sauce, Soo good. The sweet potato jam on the sandwich paired perfectly with the sandwich. I would definitely come back here.
Jessica Mercer
What bad can I say about Biscuit Head? NOTHING AT ALL! This is a MUST when in Asheville! Mimosa Fried Chicken is AMAZING! My kids like the donut biscuits. If you know anything about Greek pastries, they taste like a loukemades!!! Bacon late is good. The home fries are AMAZEBALLS! I did try their gluten free biscuit. It's good if you need a gluten free biscuit, not bad. Once you slather one of BH's amazing butters or jams on it, the whole things is great. Get there early! Lines from quickly, but move fast. Totally worth the wait!
Jennifer Chu
The star of this place (outside of the biscuits) is the jam bar! I'd say skip the fancy biscuit items and just get a plain biscuit and treat yourself to the full variety of jams, butters, honey, etc. Everything tastes exactly as labeled. They have some pretty unique flavors as well. We went on a Wednesday over lunch and the line wasn't too long. Would definitely recommend!
Nasir Khan
This is a great breakfast spot in Asheville, NC.
They have ample inside seating, parking, and outside picnic benches that you and your canine companion can enjoy dining together. They have a jam bar with many unique selections to pair with your breakfast. The portions are good and so is the price. They will pick up the dishes from your table so don't worry about doing it yourself. The staff is friendly and very dog positive. One employee wanted to pet our dogs and came prepared with bacon as incentive for them
I had the Mimosa Fried Chicken Biscuit. I would have like it better, but the chicken was dark thigh meat instead of a chicken breast like I was expecting. (It is not noted on the menu what selection of meat is used in the sandwich)
The menu selection is vast, has unique flavors and decent portion size. You will definitely visit more than once.
Cota Walls
Expect a few minutes wait during busy times, but totally worth it. Had Biscuits and Mimosas! Both were delicious. If you're looking for a unique dining experience in Asheville, you should definitely consider Biscuit Head! Also, LOVE their selection of jams/jellies to choose from!
Chris A.K.T.
Amazing breakfast food! Probably some of the best I’ve ever had. I got the pulled pork biscuit and my husband got a basic biscuit with a side of pork gravy.
The gravy is like nothing I’ve ever had before! Simply amazing. Everything was delicious.
It is in an odd location 🤔
Derek Dean
BEST BREAKFAST!! This cozy little biscuit boutique offer a plethora of fully loaded biscuit options any way you like + an array of gravy choices for dipping. These aren't your momma's biscuits - they may call it "biscuit head" because the biscuits are the size of your head!
The restaurant is pretty small inside, and due to it's extreme popularity...expect a wait unless you're one of the 1st arrivals of the morning. If you'd like coffee while in line, walk into the exit door and ask them on the inside or plan ahead to bring your own.
*Brisket biscuit, steak biscuit, & gravy flight pictured below.
Katie Jones
Loved the Mimosa Fried Chicken and the Pulled Pork Biscuit. The pork melted in your mouth. The biscuits were the perfect amount of butter, fluffy and a pinch of salt. And don't forget the blueberry jalepeno or sour cherry jams!
Walter van Dusen
Super delicious moist biscuits and vegan Chorizo with white eggs and fruit. My buddy had biscuit eggs Benedict. Friendly staff and eclectic dining area. Highly recommend this place if you are in Asheville.
Caitlin Halle
Great food! Extremely rich so don’t do what I did and try to fit 4-5 meals in per day if this is one of them. I had the mimosa fried chicken biscuit, which I loved and the cheesy jalapeño grits. My partner in crime had the Country ham biscuit. It was really, really salty and we couldn’t eat much if it, but overall worth the wait for a special occasion.
Devro Galyon
My girlfriend and I waited 50 minutes in line before ordering, and I never thought I would start a five star review with that sentence. From the moment you finally make it into the actual restaurant, you’re greeted not only by the delicious smells of some truly spectacular food, but also a courteous staff that has the act of serving as many people as possible in their limited space perfected to an art. They already had our table picked out for us to sit down, and it couldn’t have been more than three minutes after ordering that our food was being brought out to us. This restaurant has definitely figured out how to serve the greatest number of people possible without compromising on the quality of their service or their food, which is to die for! The mimosa chicken biscuit was unbelievable. Crispy, juicy fried chicken, a tender, flaky biscuit, crunchy, flavorful slaw, all topped with sweet potato butter and a perfectly cooked, poached egg added up to one of the most guiltily satisfying meals of my life, and that’s not even mentioning the amaretto marmalade bacon or deep fried French toast topped with house made jam. We’ve all definitely waited a long time for a meal and been disappointed before, but if you choose to come to Biscuit Head I can assure you that, just as the employees’ t-shirts say, it’s “worth the wait.”
Kae S Dee
My son LOVES the Brisket Biscuit and I loved the Asheville Benedict. Absolutely amazing!! Worth the wait in line. Great coffee and tasty jams, too!
Willson Baxley
Best breakfast I’ve had yet. Went when it was somewhat slower but the wait is WORTH IT. A must visit. The biscuit donuts were amazing. Smoked brisket biscuit was AMAZING. The hot sauce was addictive.
Allyson Meeks
Absolutely delicious! We got the gravy flight with bacon and potatoes, and the mimosa chicken biscuit, and everything was outstanding. The staff is so friendly and efficient. We had to wait about 25 minutes, but it was totally worth it. If you are in the area, this is a must stop at.
Danielle Rizk
I’m visiting Asheville for the first time and heard great things about Biscuit Head. Everything about this place exceeded my expectations. First and foremost, the service was exceptional. The entire staff was kind and attentive, but Jack went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Next up, the food. I ordered the fried green tomato biscuit and wow wow wow. 10/10 would order again. The biscuit was flakey and delicious, the tomato was fried to perfection, and the poach on the egg was perfect. They also have an entire jam bar, which included specialty homemade butters—everything I tried there was so yummy! The atmosphere was cozy and it was a perfect way to start the last full day here in Asheville. Can’t recommend Biscuit Head enough.
Joyce Wales
Great little place! Love the staff. Awesome food, the biscuits are tops! Good prices. Want to try the original location next time.
Greg Reed
Fantastic breakfast biscuits! So many different gravies to try and one of the few places you can find good red-eye gravy. I recommend this place to anyone coming to the area.
Linda Chapman Harwood
I had biscuits and gravy, there was grease floating on top of the gravy, it was inedible, but the biscuit was very good, also the cup my coffee was served in had 2 cracks and coffee was leaking on the table
Gina Neumann
Fantastic biscuits! Dress warm because the line extends outside. I had the half breakfast (eggs, side, and biscuit) but would recommend maybe just getting only a biscuit and a side because it was very filling. The jam bar was our favorite part. There were some traditional raspberry, strawberry, blackberry jams and some really fun ones: sweet potato chai, peach rosemary, mango chili, sriracha butter, apple pie, lemon poppyseed butter, and amaretto marmalade.
nick osterhoudt
So clearly this place is great. No one had a bad plate at the table. The jalapeño mushroom bacon gravy pictured was the special of the day. It was the best gravy I have ever had hands down.
Chris Hancock
There might be a long line outside, but don’t let that intimidate you. The line moves fast and it was well worth the short wait. I got the Mimosa Fried Chicken Biscuit and my wife got the Pulled Pork Biscuit. Both were delicious and full of unique flavors. I ordered their signature saké Bloody Mary to try something different....but I wish I would’ve asked if I could substitute the saké for vodka because I did not enjoy it nearly as much as a classic Bloody Mary.
Derek Beckel
Went once - had to go back with friends!
Orders are large, but soo delicious. All kinds of options, specials are great. All different types of gravy, jelly, hot sauce, etc
Nathan Threet
This is a must stop place for breakfast!! It's a small place that you wouldn't even think is there. Had to stand in line for about 30 minutes... Man was it worth it. HUGE portions, with flavor combinations you wouldn't typically think about.
J Mar
Whoa Momma!!! This is the best breakfast in all of North Carolina. We ate so well here and we even got to see Baby Yoda!!! There’s rumor that Lizzo visits from time to time, so be on the lookout for some celebs.
Lila Anderson
My favorite location! Best food and the jalapeño hot sauce is my favorite. Also recommend trying the lavender honey latte. It’s my go to.
Renee Shissler
A must-go when we're in Asheville! The biscuits are huge and fluffy-thoroughly enjoyed the gravy flight and many jams/honey. The Gouda home fries are the best. Loved the fact that you can order a mimosa or Bellini. Be prepared to wait in line, but it's totally worth it.
Star Shea
My 1st time at the Biltmore location.
I preferred it due to ease of parking.
I enjoyed the Pulled Pork biscuit. I wished it had more of that dreamy jalapeno pimento sauce. The atmosphere was cozy and pleasant. Not too crowded on a thurs lunch hour.
Travis Ferguson
Favorite place to eat I'm Ashville. A must go. Huge biscuts. Fresh food. Great combinations of country style food and Vegan
Alex Giesey
Stopped in for a birthtbreskfast and I have to say that the Filthy Animal and Nutella Mocha turned out to possibly be one of the best ones I've ever had. I highly recommend this establishment. The service provided was very quick, easy, and streamlined. I was very pleased with my whole experience.
Chelsea Johnson
This place is notorious for being awesome and tasty! Just do it, you won’t regret it. Anytime we visit Asheville we have to stop here.
Kimberly Stevenson
Glad we waited in line for this one! Food was delicious. Homemade jams. Mimosas.
R. Joe Reich
This place is amazing. From the antique doors & window boxes that have been repurposed into dining tables to the eclectic set of "choose your own" coffee mugs, you get a real down-home feeling as you walk in the door.
#protip - consider sharing a biscuit, even if you come ravenous, these biscuit creations are as enormous as they are delicious.
Sharon Gadbois
Breakfast for one. Got in just before the rush. The food is everything like the reviews say. The service is exceptional and fast-moving. The music is great too. 80s rock. No sooner I sat down, my food was at my table. They have a delicious vegan and gluten free biscuit option as well. The Lavender Honey Latte went down quick. I decided on the Biltmore location because it was closer to Element (Westin) Hotel than the West Asheville one. I went by it at first and then was able to turn into the adjacent doctor's complex and find my way. Plenty of parking. Get there before 830am or you'll be in line for a bit. That was cold, so dress warm for the wait. She be sure to wait!! It's worth it.
Follow me on Instagram and Yelp too. 🤓🤗🫂🌱

The perfect comfort food spot. Fantastic biscuits and fried chicken. Picked up the cookbook and some jam to top it off! Definitely worth a stop on your mid week beer tour
Emma Marriner
It wouldn’t be a trip to Asheville without coming to Biscuit Head! The lines are long but the food always comes out super fast. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!
Allison Daniel
My favorite is the fried green tomato biscuit. Also got a decent bloody Mary the last time I was there. I will stick with coffee or juice next time. The staff are super quick, nice and helpful. Tip your servers!!!!!!
Samantha Trissler
Biscuits were delicious. Lots of jam/jelly options. Filthy animal was savory and delicious.
Deborah Sutliff
The biscuits are so big they're called cat head biscuits, but that is only the beginning. The real charm is in the wide variety of ways you can top a biscuit... Mushroom gravy, bacon gravy, veggie gravy, berry bomb jam, chili mango jam, apple pie jam, basil pesto butter, mustard butter, clover honey, eggs, bacon, catfish, fried green tomatoes... The list goes on and on. Go and you'll be back again and again. It's just that good.
Sofia Garcia
Place was so delicious. Biscuits were to die for. Place gets very busy so get there early. But definitely a place you must try when visiting Asheville.
Jacob Montague
It took us about 45 minutes to get through the line, get seated, and get our food, but as the back of the employees' shirts state: "it's worth the wait".
The food was fantastic, and we liked the jam well enough to bring some home. I had a great mocha as well. The only disappointment for me was the biscuit, ironically enough. It wasn't like southern biscuits I am used to.
william duncan
Best biscuits and gravies ever, try the fried chicken gravy and the sweet potato curry gravy.
Nicholas Coleman
Biscuits are huge and so light and fluffy. So many options to have biscuits with your meal. Fresh squeezed on was delicious. Gravy flight includes 3 smaller biscuits to go with your order of three gravies. It is not just biscuits and gravy as they have so many options for biscuits to be included with the meal as more than just a side. Very good food. Jelly bar is good too.
Andrew Parker
It's a vibe...a perfect homemade North Carolina breakfast kind of vibe! Between the fried green tomatoes, the loaded homefries w/red eye gravy, the homemade strawberry jam, sweet potato butter, and a fresh fluffy golden biscuit the size of a mountain, you do not want to miss out on this! And theyve got alot more! Gluten free and vegetarian options available too
zembeil
YUMMY GLUTEN FREE BISCUIT OPTION!
Longgggg lines. Order online to pick up quickly and make sure you grab a bunch of sauces from the sauce bar.
Kevin Jones
Best biscuit dishes in WNC. Green Fried Tomato biscuit with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce is amazing. The jams and sauces are all homemade and excellent.
Puneet Sharma
Good biscuits. Recommend the one with everything over the Mimosa. Both were good. The everything had a better sauce.
Nice people. Prompt service.
Natalie Ann
The homemade biscuits are awesome, perfectly baked! We waited in line & the place is small and cramped but it was totally worth it!
Samantha McGowan
This place is amazing!! Everything is delicious- The biscuits, the gravys, the jams. As a vegetarian, I haven't been able to have biscuits and gravy in years! But they had 3 vegetarian gravys and even a vegan gravy, as well as vegan biscuits. I love the community tables, and the service was great. An awesome place for breakfast, brunch, lunch, anytime really.
James Goerke
This place got crowded fast. I take that as a sign of the amazing food. The space is small but they took the time to reseat us to a bigger table because we have kids. Everything was amazing.
Jeff Cunningham
One of the best breakfast meals I've had in quite a while. It's a small place, so a short wait is likely....but well worth it. Reminded me of Biscuit Love in Nashville.
Sharon L
I still think about these biscuits years later. The breakfast sandwiches are so good and the sides do not disappoint.
Matthew Casulli
Fantastic place for breakfast. The Cajun Benedict was amazing, and would have been worth it even without the sausage. Perfectly poached eggs, great flavors... And the biscuit was cooked to perfection.
Go out of your way to come to biscuit head.
(The latte I had was equally good!)
Kendra Joyner
I loved this place. I'm not much on biscuits but theirs are fabulous! They have a jelly and butter bar which is amazing and such wonderful food too. The people are friendly and they have some of the coolest art I have seen. Will definitely have to go back again.
Brit Nicole
Lived up to the name-delicious dishes & fluffy biscuits. Love all of the complimentary jams they have for you to try!
Tenesa McCaskill-Gainey
Oh my goodness the Asheville Benedict was wonderful!! I had them to soft scramble the egg but it was so so so YUMMY!
A lot of local places have great reviews, and when I went I was disappointed BUT NOT BISCUIT HEAD!
Just put a Biscuit on my Head and call me a fan. 😁
Joshua Smith
Excellent vegan biscuit amazing customer service will definitely be back again, highly recommended for people with dairy issues
Matt Donovan
Freaking phenomenal breakfast! The biscuits are incredible. There are dozens of toppings - jams, butters, meats, eggs, veggies - you get the idea! Absolutely wonderful eatery, even with the wait in the line out the door!
Rhonda B (RunnerMomto4)
The novelty was why we came. The biscuits were crumbly and tasty. We got one with chicken and one with ham. Wish we would have just got biscuit and jam. Would love to try again when we can dine in.
Whitney Boggs
Breakfast was delicious! The biscuits were thick and fluffy, eggs cooked well, and oh, the jams! we loved all the jam choices! check it out!
Georgeanna Holmes
So worth the wait! This is the best biscuit you will eat anywhere hands down. It may seem like you wait in line to order for awhile but trust their system, they are pros! They also have tons of jellys to try which are just as good as their lattes. I was so full but wanted to lick the plate clean. They also have a gravy of the day and gravy flight. Reccomend the fried chicken gravy for sure.
Cedric Payne
An excellent place to eat. The food is amazing and the atmosphere relaxed and inviting. The fried green tomatoes are the best my wife and I have had yet.
Brendan Segraves
Really good (and big!) biscuits. Decent breakfast. Really good cappuccino (they use pennycup roaster).
The line went out the door when we arrived but it moved quickly. We ordered, were seated, and were eating within 20 minutes of our arrival.
Jim Donatelli
This place is very small, but the staff and the food are absolutely amazing. Food was freshly cooked and ready in under 15 minutes.
We went there based on the recommendation of a friend, and we were not disappointed!
Be prepared to get close and personal with your neighbor. There are about 8 tables with very little room in between, but everyone is so nice and polite it doesn't matter.
The tables were really cute with little seascapes under glass.
Go and enjoy!
Kevin Flickinger
In town visiting. Arrived shortly after they opened. Not too busy but got much busier by the time we left. Food was great, service was prompt and friendly, atmosphere was quaint. Would definitely go back.
Britney Morgan
The food was good. Didn’t care for the fried chicken since it was dark meat. Being seated at the bar is just not where it’s at u are basically seated on top of the person beside u. Otherwise it was an ok restaurant
Lyndsey D
EXCELLENT! This is now in my top two favorite breakfast spots, ever. The staff were working seamlessly together and preparing the most delicious food and curious combos that were an absolute delight. Anytime I return to Asheville, I will make it a point to come here.
Caleb Neal
Great biscuits. Skip the fried green tomatoes. Loved the pimento cheese too.
Susie Roos
Love me some biscuits & gravy from Biscuit Head. These are not only the biggest biscuits (as big as a kitten’shead) but the best. Ever.
Leonardo Loredan
Great brunch! excellent also for gluten free options. Guy taking the order was great in telling us what options we had. Food was good and I had one of the ladies working there literally walk me through the menu while I was sipping coffee helping us out with additional GF options. thanks!
Not a place to go if you are trying to control your cholesterol... but hey... they're great at what they do and it feels cozy and welcoming, unlike other places we experienced nearby (see my other reviews).
Deena Phimvongsa
Love the biscuits and the coffee. Only reason I can’t give it 5 stars is because it’s so small and they cannot accommodate the patrons. You can see in my photo that I was seated at the counter facing a wall with minimal room to maneuver. The front door is a huge traffic jam with most guest having to wait outside.
Luke Gaikwad
The Mimosa Chicken Biscuit with a side of freshly squeezed OJ is simply out-of-this-world amazing! I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was quite the experience! The whole place has a hippie vibe, but that's typical of most places in Asheville. I will definitely be back to try more things on their menu!
Jessica Pierce
Absolutely delicious food! You have to try this place! No doubt about it! Huge biscuits!
Maura McCarthy
We received our food less than 5 minutes after ordering it, which was unreal! Friendly service and great recommendations. Everyone in our party was incredibly happy with their food. The Asheville Benedict was fantastic. Check out the jam bar and try the Appalachai latte.
Amy Dandridge
OMGAWD!!! Absolutely PHENOMENAL!! So may delicious choices! I had the pulled pork biscuit with maple drizzle and a bowl of real, cooked all morning, stone ground grits, and my niece had brisket biscuit and gouda potatoes. The plain biscuit alone is worth stopping by. They have a huge jelly/jam bar! Please, if you are ever in Ashville, you MUST try this place. Just know that they close at 2pm.
Melissa C
Best homemade biscuits ever! I had the vegetarian "chorizo" biscuits and gravy. Their homemade jams are delicious as well. Get there early as it gets VERY busy.
Katie Pandolfo
Every part of this was excellent. Food, service& staff, atmosphere, prices/ value. I’ll be back here for sure. Lots more items to try on the menu! Also loved the jelly bar. Super cool spot. Picture is the fried chicken biscuit (slaw on the side with scrambled egg instead of poached). Sooooooo good
Gregory Haynes
One of the best breakfast restaurants I have ever eaten at! The fried chicken gravy biscuit is awesome! ! I bought the Biscuit Head hardback cookbook for my wife because I was so impressed with this restaurant.
Rick Carpenter
Came here a couple years ago and didn't rate it because I would have downgraded it. Gave it a second chance and it delivered on all fronts. Loved it and will recommend to anyone going to Asheville.
Jeff Hoelscher
The food was really good, it was very busy on Sunday morning around nine as I expected. The wait was minimal though.
Kevin Kintner
Best biscuits and gravy I’ve ever had and I eat them every chance I get.
I’m on a road trip with my daughter and we literally planned an overnight stop in Asheville just to eat breakfast at Biscuit Head because of a prior experience a few years earlier while visiting the Biltmore when we ate here.
Shane
Came here on a whim the last morning of vacation and...
I had one of the best meals I can recall in recent history.
Picked the fried green tomato and biscuits, nearly fell out of my chair. It was utterly perfect. Everything was cooked just right, the breading and biscuits were crispy, even my eggs came out as I requested.
The folks were so kind, too. Even at the crack of dawn, probably still getting through the first cup of coffee.
Barry Lumpkins
Great food, I got the biscuit called the Filthy Animal, was very good, could have used more gravy on the biscuit
Jennifer Butterfield
So delicious! And great service. We went on a Tuesday morning, so there was practically no wait, and they have a really efficient system where you order and the staff assigns you a table. Homemade jams and jellies are amazing. Biscuits were fabulous.
Macey Hall
I swear it's the best gravy I've ever had. I went every day I was in Asheville. Plus they have homemade jams that you can add to your biscuits for free! Oh and did I mention their biscuits are enormous. Check out the biscuit with pork sausage gravy.
J Temple
Eating here will make breakfast/brunch your favorite meal of the day. Wow! Blown away by incredible food and service. Order online and pick-up. This place is amazing!
Jarrod Fraley
I had a really good vegan biscuit that had good texture and was not super dry. I got the tomato based gravy which was ok and I wish I would have stuck with my original decision with the sweet potato gravy. I know now for next time. My wife had the quinoa scramble vegan option which she liked. It is tight inside and bigger parties over 4 would be difficult to sit close. You can miss the turn very easily so be on the lookout for a teal sign with their name on it.
Jennifer Tevis-Bhuiyan
I went on a Tuesday morning and the line was still a little long outside but it did move quickly. I was very impressed by the jelly bar inside! The biscuits were wonderful, dishes were very flavorful and come with large portions. Will be going back! The picture shown is The Asheville Benedict with a side of chorizo.
Corey
Nicest staff, food was perfect, and you need to try the sweet potato jam. Plus, free coffee from 7am-8am?? Brb, making another account just to give it 10 stars
Lori Dorman
I was really looking forward to biscuit head and was a little disappointed. I was told the mimosa chicken biscuit was a must. So that's what i got minus the slaw. It was good but it is thigh meat so most of my "chicken" was fat. The apple cinnamon butter on top was overwhelming with cinnamon. The biscuit was big and tasted really good. I'm not a Pimento cheese fan so i got the grits without Pimento cheese but they were really good and creamy. The lavender honey latte was different but in a good way. I will definitely go back bc every plate that was brought out looked amazing. Bacon looked thick and cooked crisp. There were little cups of jam but i didn't get to try bc the apple butter was so overwhelming i heard alot of people raving over them. I got there at 8am when they opened. By 8:10, there was a line out the door. Every table was full by 8:30 and a line out the door. Very popular place. Not alot of seating. Staff very attentive. A bit pricy. My biscuit, grits, latte was over $20.
Wes Varner
As good as advertised! No, BETTER! It gets crazy busy so don't sleep in! And make sure you add a plain biscuit to your order so you can go HAM on their amazing homemade jelly/jam/butter bar!!!
Dayan Siri
Loved the food and friendly service ❤️
Melissa Layman
This has to be one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. Everything was PERFECTLY cooked- I had eggs, bacon, home fries, and a biscuit of course. Basic, but absolutely delicious. The biscuit had a perfect outside layer and an even better inside layer, pair perfectly with their homemade jams (the strawberry and apple pie were the best!). We also tried the biscuit french toast, which was to die for. Cakey, and only needed a little bit of syrup. The service was also great- food was out in just a few minutes and the staff was so friendly! 11/10 place!
James
Raised in the south and I can say these are great biscuits. I have never heard the term Cathead to describe a biscuit though. The raspberry jam was actually my favorite jam.
Ed Garner
The fried chicken thigh I got was kinda pink on the inside. It didn’t seem undercooked but the pinkness weirded me out so I threw the biscuit out
S Tam
We ate here twice during our stay it is THAT good. Service is outstanding. Food is unique and tasty. Biscuits are large and bacon of the day is fun (vanilla coke, spicy blueberry). Jam and butter station for self service is so nice with a variety of options. We will be back!
Mace Johnson
Well now, got to this place and thought it would not be the type of place I would like. Man was I wrong on so many levels! The staff alone were awesome! We got there 15 minutes before they opened and did not make us wait in the cold and told us to come in. The food o wow the food! The flavors and the energy that goes into it was fantastic! I think even Gordon Ramsey would lick the plate clean. The Elvis biscuit was amazing and a must have!. Thank you to you all there for making some out-of-towners feel welcomed and leave happy and full.
stacey wy
There is usually a line, the seating is limited, totally worth the wait. Everything is fresh, made to order, scrumptious. Cat head biscuits are my fav!
Justin Lovett
Great Atmosphere, Great Service, and Not to mention Great Food.
I got the Asheville Benedict. A Homemade fluffy biscuit with a nice poached egg, tender noodles and fresh greens. The sauce for the noodles and greens was a little tart for my taste. But otherwise blended very well.
Overall theirs not much seating on the inside or the outside, but is it well worth the wait most definitely.
Lindsey Elrod Campbell
I've been a biscuit head b4 I knew biscuit head was a thing! But this place was excellent! The grits was awesome too. DO NOT COME TO ASHEVILLE WITHOUT COMING HERE!
Petya
This little whole in the wall breakfast joint is to die for! The biscuits were simply delicious, bacon was just perfect…. Must go
Vickie Flowers
Friendly staff, great vibe, amazing biscuits!
Amanda Baer
Literally the best. We had a wait but well worth it staff was extremely considerate and overly helpful. Food was amazing including all the jams and butters. We actually bought a few to take back home. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Jp Santos
We went on a sunday morning, for breakfast. Arrived at 8:15 and had a big queue outside. The wait was worthy: biscuits was our choice (cajun benedict + asheville Benedict) really delicious, cool coffee cups, very good.
Rychelle Foltz
This was our favorite stop while we were here in Asheville. Their biscuits are worth every single bite. We ate here 2/3 mornings we were in town. The sweet potato chai jam was my absolute favorite thing! Seriously the best thing in the world! Their coffee was also really good and we are really picky about our coffee ☺️ Get here early because it does get super busy!!
David D
OMG, so good. Biscuits, jellies, bacon, gravies, coffee all my favorites. Yes... I have driven from Charlotte just to eat here. Beware the lines. Always busy.
Winnie Miller
Very long wait, just stay in the chalk lines! Good food! The fried green tomatoes were my favorite, and the grits were fantastic!
Dymelza P
Definitely stop by a get a biscuit, its good 👍 but that's it. We were not impressed with our breakfast.
Valerie Valentine
The best biscuits I have ever eaten. They are huge and it's like eating breakfast and lunch at the same time. Fresh squeezed Orange juice and the best biscuits. It was so good we a breakfast there twice on our visit to Asheville. Wind
Bil Ped igo
UPDATE. We made it back and it was fantastic. Small place no doubt. Very busy. Poached eggs were good. Biscuit with pork gravy was fire. Hash browns were good. Mimosa was perfect. Bacon was great quality but under. Had to wait 25 minutes or so but worth it.
Got some biscuit and gravy to go just wow! The biscuits are amazing. Can't wait to go back.
Michael Izzi
Friendly and helpful service. Didn't get a chance to check out the jam bar, however their food is fresh and tasty. My recommendation: the maple bacon latte and the filthy animal
Jason Hodges
Very busy during rush hours. Line out the door but it only took about 10 minutes. Country ham biscuit was great but the redeye gravy wad not my favorite. Bigger than I thought it would be.
Nicole Hoelt
Do not miss this place if you're in Asheville! Also, don't let the line deter you because it goes by quick! We shared a biscuit and carafe of grapefruit mimosas. One of the best stops on our short trip to Asheville. Will definitely return if we're ever back in the area
Sara Izad
Biscuits are amazing! They are doing a great job with keeping everyone safe and have a great curbside pick up. I would suggest ordering online and pick it up.
Michael Chen
Nice place. Hot sauce was good recommend the cat scratch flavor. Biscuits are great. Food is good.
Elkin Natera
Usually one biscuit is enough for me but when you have the opportunity to eat this delicious breakfasts two was my choice this time regular chicken biscuut and the second one was the mimosa chicken biscuit which it was better!!! And not to mention the variety of homemade marmalade ! I will for sure be back on my next visit to asheville.
Dan Waxenberg
Got a biscuit with fried chicken gravy (has a generous helping of fried chicken chunks) with 2 poached eggs (came in a side cup). Tasted great, solid value, the poached eggs were a little overcooked and the liquid aspect of the gravy ran out well before the biscuit.
jason browne
20-30 people were ahead of us in line on a Friday morning. From the time we got in line to the time we had our food was less than 30 minutes. Pretty impressive if you ask me!! Oh yea, the food is great too! When in doubt order the Wild Animal (fried chicken, pimento cheese, bacon, gravy) or the Pulled Pork biscuit with some Heavenly Hollandaise. You have two options after this meal, go on a long hike or take a long nap… the choice is yours ;)
Alexander Finch
Great comfort food! Their biscuits are huge and they spare no expense on the portions. I had come here when I first got to Asheville because it was a long day of travel and I wanted something easy like biscuits and gravy. I found out that they have quite a bit more!
Over a few mornings, I tried the pulled pork biscuit that was sweet and savory, and two varieties of the biscuits and gravy: the chicken sausage gravy and the mushroom gravy. I also got the collard greens, the Cole slaw and potatoes sides. They had this lavender honey latte that was really good as well.
They have the option of making everything vegan or gluten free as well. The staff was really helpful. Good place to stop for some delicious breakfast or lunch!
Dan Gibbons
This place was delightful. I had the pulled pork biscuit and it was amazingly good. The jelly’s and butters are incredible. Def will eat here again. Best breakfast we’ve had on our trip
Holly Martin
Great breakfast stop before hitting The Biltmore. Fast, friendly service. Good selection. Fresh ingredients. Very filling.
McMillan's
If you don’t go here when you visit you’re missing out. Highly recommend. Definitely show up early on the weekends because they fill up fast. The jams were to die for. I totally should’ve bought some. Oh well guess I have to go back.
Alison Smelcer Close
My husband and I had been trying to visit Biscuit Head for a couple of years. Today was so worth the wait. Absolutely my fave breakfast so far (coming from someone who would eat breakfast every meal everyday if possible)!!! We both had the full breakfast but chose different sides in order to try more items. We also had the doughtnuts (almost like Beignets but much better in my opinion). If you get the chance... just stop and have a biscuit with an out of this world jam/jelly selection. These are cat head biscuits, not something to mess around with!
Brian Wismer
Our family stopped in for breakfast on 4/12/22 while we were in town on a “mini-vacation” and
we had a GREAT breakfast!! Biscuits and gravy were AWESOME!! We’re from Pennsylvania and
we have yet to find anyone who can make a “proper” buttermilk biscuit. The jams and preserves
we’re a delicious compliment to your biscuits! The coffee was GOOD and hot, and the staff was
very welcoming and it was a pleasure to watch folks that really enjoy serving us and having a
good time doing it! Thanks again for making us feel welcome and serving up some AWSOME
food! Definitely be back if we are in town again!
James
Unexpectedly located with numerous doctors offices. Biscuit Head offers classic comfort food with a little extra homemade flair. Staff was friendly and service prompt. It can get crowded but the tables generally turn over quickly. Definitely recommend over any chain restaurant for a hearty breakfast.
Peter McIlhon
Top 10 breakfast I've had. Food came a little cold but it was amazing still
Beth Moore
A must try. They also have a pretty awesome jam bar where theres a bunch of different jams and butters. Delicious and you will be stuffed!
David Bach
Great biscuits, as the name would suggest. The fried green tomato dish and pork sausage gravy were excellent.
Mary Edinger Shive
Never disappointed by the food, drinks, or service here. Just wish I had more room in my stomach to enjoy all the wonderful food. This is a must stop each time we come to Asheville.
Nathan Williams
My favorite breakfast place EVER maybe. Unbelievable. Im going back to Asheville just to come eat here again.
VJ
Long lines even on the weekday, I bet weekends are even more crazy but worth the wait. Fried chicken biscuit was awesome and I wish it came with potatoes or fruits.
Christopher Johnson
Another place worth the potential wait in Asheville. Available to you are a variety of variations on down home, southern breakfast. Sriracha maple sausage, and country ham with eggs for me. My wife had a friend catfish biscuit with salsa, fresh tomato, and Sriracha slaw with a mocha made with homemade chocolate milk. We also had their biscuit Donuts (Bonuts), which were amazing. They also have a variety of hot sauces and jams to have with your food. All amazing.
Mark Pitts
Very enjoyable experience. LOVED my bacon, coconut collard greens (tasted like Thai) and powdered donuts. Ham a bit salty for my taste. Great atmosphere and service. SPECIAL kudos to waitress Marcella (named after her grandma) who MAGICALLY made a table for six appear in the middle of a crowded restaurant and volunteered—without being asked—to take a group picture! Restaurant highly recommended!
Kylie Britt
The staff was lovely and all looked to be having fun! The biscuits were great (I had mimosa fried chicken!) but the coffee was just okay. I would do take out next time rather than waiting 45 minutes for a table.
Josh Plave
Enough good things cannot be said about Biscuit Head. I'm not exaggerating when I say this is one of my favorite restaurants. I do a personal biscuit rating of all the biscuits I've had (tracked on a spreadsheet), and have still yet to have had a single one as good as Biscuit Head. The staff is so nice as well. We come every time we're in Asheville.
C Woodlee
I don't understand the long lines here for food that is not that great. I will say the bacon (although not crispy) was very good.
Andrew Caldwell
2nd time coming here....great coffee, great fried chicken, and donuts are amazing. A little tight inside, but worth the crowdedness.
Nina Jo
It is well worth the wait!! We seen a line that was starting to wrap around the building & we were a little hesitant but boy did this place deliver!! The food was phenomenal! The staff absolutely amazing! The coffee TOTALLY purrfect! I got the Honey Lavender Latte and I got to say, I've never tasted something so wonderful! The cathead biscuits are mouth watering & the huge selection of jellies was a wonderful touch!! If you're in the area, you should definitely check this place out!
lacie brittian
Lovely morning breakfast place. We are from MD and just visiting NC. I was skeptical about an essentially all biscuit joint but it was worth it. They let me order a modified French toast, and it was like a cross between a donut and funnel cake. So yummy. I assume the owner came by the check on us and ask how everything was, I was hesitant about letting him know my thoughts on the biscuit and gravy I also ordered. He was understanding and took the time to educate me on the origins of the gravy types and even brought me over a red eye (I think that’s what it was called?) gravy to try out and it was delicious. I wasn’t aware of the many variations of gravy’s, at least for breakfast. My fiancé loved his meal as well. Such a cool place.
Caleb Bartmess
Really enjoyed my brunch here. This place is packed! If you can't stand waiting, you'll want to order ahead of time for pickup. It's busy for a reason though! Their food is just that good 👍
Josh Perez
Always a classic place to stop for breakfast. Get there early or expect a wait.
Jonathan Herbin
Still great in every aspect! We waited in low 30-dregree weather to get in the door. Worth the wait!
Tovey Forbes
Was the food delicious? Yes. But I’m giving this place 5 stars because of the allergy friendly offerings and the knowledgeable staff. I ordered the gluten free/vegan biscuit (great, btw) with eggs; I told her no cheese and she inquired about the vegan biscuit but with the eggs. I told her that I have a dairy allergy and she let me know that the eggs contain butter (or milk? I can’t remember), so said that they can do mine as “cracked” separately. She saved me when I had forgotten to ask! Thank you to the staff, quick service, efficient ordering process, and happy faces. (Gordon Ramsay would be proud of the communication at the place as well, “One egg, cracked!” “Heard — one cracked!”)
Brittany Ashworth
So amazing. We stop here everytime we visit Asheville. The Pimento Cheese Grits are SO GOOD!
Paul Wait
I've eaten at this place more times than I can count and what amazes me is their consistency! Absolutely delicious food, friendly service, and the speed at which the whole restaurant operates, even when there is a big line (which is often), is impressive. Yes, I am sad they removed the brisket biscuit BUT they have so many other fantastic options that I'm glad it's gone so I can branch out and try different things like the Pulled Pork Biscuit or the Mimosa Fried Chicken Biscuit (which are both equally wonderful!). A MUST with every order are the Biscuit Donuts with the Lemon Curd; ugh my mouth is watering now! 10/10
Lori Fine
Perfect biscuits are made here! The outsides are crispy and the insides are soft and moist without being wet. And they taste amazing. Both the espresso red eye gravy and the pork sausage gravy rock. Also, don't miss the pulled pork biscuit, complete with maple syrup.
W Randy Rice
Worth the wait. Dang.... insanely good. Seriously be prepared to wait. They manage it well though.
Jamie Kawolsky
Good was very good. Staff was very friendly and personable. It is a very small space so if you can eat outside or to go would probably be best.
Doug Deeds
I thought Biscuit Head was great; my wife not so much. I had the gravy flight, but thought the jams and jellies were better.
Jermaine Wilhite
Amazing food! Nice chill spot! Jelly bar was amazing! I bought 2 jars when I left.
Jessica
The best biscuits I have ever had in my life! I am happy I was visiting and don’t have one of these near me or I would weigh 400 pounds! I will definitely be ordering the cookbook and biscuit mix for an occasional treat though!
Nathaniel Whitney
Great food made better by friendly, helpful staff! The wait seemed daunting but moved quickly and the biscuits were worth it!
Martin Gutierrez IV
Fresh Orange Juice is great! Food was good but not very hot.
Ghost Shadow
Crowded. We sat at a table with three other traveling couples. Everyone was really nice.
Bri
Usually worth the line. Whatever you get make sure you get a plain biscuit to share so you can sample the jelly/butter/syrup bar or get a gravy flight.
Steve Strawn
The flavors of the Cajun Benedict were fantastic and the bananas foster "jam" on the jelly bar was amazing! Worth the wait in line!
GeekedOutRambo
Food was amazing and they have a jam bar with all kinds of crazy jams. Their lavender honey latte was perfect and I paired that with The Filthy Animal sandwich. Don't forget to order a side biscuit so you can sample all the jams! Did I mention they have a jam bar?!?!?
Melissa Suarez
Yes, the biscuits are worth the hype! Don't sleep on the pimento cheese grits, either. Plus my iced vanilla latte was coffee-shop level delicious, or better, honestly! I'm an Asheville local and can't believe I haven't been to this place until now, but will be finding excuses to go far more often.
Ofer Bick
We LOVE Biscuit Head! So much so that we've visited all 4 locations. Biltmore, Hendersonville Rd, Haywood Rd, Greenville. Each has a different vibe. We're from Southern California but visit Asheville often. We tried Biscuit Head once and got hooked on trying other Biscuit places when we visit the South. Still, none compares with the Biscuits at Biscuit Head. And the complimentary home made jams ... unique and heaven on earth!
Stephanie Johnston
Biscuits were delicious, butter bar was cool. Not sure if it was totally worth an hour long wait, but the food was tasty enough. Latte was not great, for being as expensive as it was.
Faryn Duff
Soft fluffy biscuits with interesting menu options. Not a lot of seating available. Friendly staff.
ShadowLit Photography
Fast friendly service and amazing breakfast. All types of gravy selections and just good food. If you are in area this is a must stop for breakfast location.
Travis Sharp
Large biscuits, eggs were perfect, country ham was good, gravy not what I expected, tasted like it had onions in it.
Jennifer Jackson
I am from the South (currently living in NY) and love the food. However, I have celiac and had pretty much given up on ever having a decent biscuit again. Until I came here. I got a gluten free biscuit with my breakfast and it was soft, moist, fluffy and delicious! And the berry bomb jam on top of it was fantastic! Thank you!
Joshua Naster
Wow I used to live in west Asheville and saw this little shop start up.never been to the south slope location .Threw the years I would bring visitors to the Haywood and had a great experience. But holy hot damn in all the years iv been to biscuit head this was the most amazing experience in the south slop location . I’ve hade the food was Michelin star wow great job yall
Stephanie W.
My favorite breakfast during our trip. We did takeout. The multiple unique jams and hot sauces for each order is such a cool touch, as we got to share at the table and try them all! The biscuits are huge and amazing! I love the veggie options, as I opted for the full breakfast and added veggie chorizo and fried green tomatoes. The fried green tomatoes may have been the best I've had. Will definitely do this one again on our next trip.
Alex T
Packed. I now know why. Great service and great food. Their signature hot sauces are delicious, too. Wish I would’ve tried their homemade jams. The accommodating and hardworking staff pump out the food in what seems like mere seconds.
AdinGarc
Great for biscuits and gravy. The maple latte was super good
gonzalo garcia
Great service and food. Biscuits are heavenly
Kurt Doggett
Tea not southern sweet. Little pricey, but good value. Excellent food.
Matthew Rhodes
Food was excellent. Place was a madhouse though. Way too small.
Cristina Jacobs
Absolutely amazing! This place has the best breakfast in town ❤
Jasmine Crowder (Jasmine Lawrence)
Delicious!!! We stumbled upon this place on our way to an another appointment looking for a quick but filling bite to eat. I have to say, we struck gold. The service was wonderful, we were able to eat outside. The food was amazing...reminded me of homemade biscuits. A bit messy but it was great so it didn't bother us. We'll definitely be back!
Will C
Biscuit was to die for. So light and fluffy, but while still maintaining structure. Also the fruit salad side was very hearty. I love seeing a good amount of fresh fruit instead of the small soggy cups usually offered. Be warned, when ordering the basic egg and cheese biscuit comes with no meat, which can be ordered as the “side”. I wasn’t aware of this and ended up with a plain egg and cheese biscuit. Not what I’d normally get but still really delicious. No complaints from me.
Matthew Guillette
Huge line so I was excited to try it and glad I called ahead for pick up. The biscuits were good and quite crumbly. They didn't hold up in a breakfast sandwich. The fried chicken was super dry and needed seasoning.
Kayla Norton
My man and I came and love it! I’m from the south west and he’s from Florida. They have the best breakfast outside of momma kitchen! We got the filthy animal. FYI- It’s a lot of food… come very hungry 🤤 …
Kathleen Smith
Went to Biscuit Head after hiking so we were starving lol. My mom, sister and I ordered 3 different biscuits, a mimosa carafe, cheese grits and donut holes. I don't think we spoke the entire time we ate. You do have to wait for a table, but oh is it worth it.
chad vanderpool
Cozy atmosphere busy crowded but with it 7? Kinds of gravy 15 or so jams and unique butters had spicy chicken gravy and a couple jams cool place
Valerie Choe
Small location with good food and great staff! I was with a larger party and we came in after 2PM on a Sunday. We weren’t sure if they’d seat us, but we got lucky and there was no wait. The staff were friendly and served us well even amidst closing duties. The food came out fast and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their different biscuit entrees. We loved the fried green tomatoes and the gravy flight is a great way to sample the menu. Of course, the biscuits were fluffy and delicious. Thanks for making our first stop in Asheville a great one!

Food was great! I enjoyed the French toast biscuit and the classic sandwich with bacon as well. The biscuit was phenomenal. Definitely worth the stop in my visit to this area .

We experienced fast and friendly service. I truly enjoyed the twist on traditional southern breakfast biscuits. The food is simply amazing, and the coffee and lattes are wonderful. Portions are enormous. I'm so glad we ate here. I'm sure we will be back.
Jesse Enloe
Good food, but $6 for a biscuit and gravy? It's not THAT good. It's also really small and really cramped. The seats seem to be from an elementary school -- different colors, small, and low to the ground.
Lynne Barnett
First visit here but it won't be our last! Great little place with fresh, tasty food.
Jeff Cardinal
Great place for a biscuit. Plenty of distanced outdoor seating. I had their Country Ham Biscuit with strawberry jam with a double espresso and soda water. Everything was delicious. I was glad to have the soda water because the biscuit had a lot of salt. I wish they gave more jam, I could have used about double or triple what they give. Overall, I recommend.

My eye doctor is in the next building so I usually try and stop here before appointments. The mushroom gravy and biscuits are literally the best ever. I get gravy on the side because the biscuits are enormous and you can save half for the jelly bar. There's like 20 different jellies, honeys, and butters. Fair warning, I only go during the week...I've seen the two hour long weekend line. If you go early you have a chance because Asheville sleeps in:)
***Update: I've been plenty of times but recently it's been very blah. This morning the mushroom gravy had no flavor. A person in our party of 3 asked if there was sriracha sauce (they also got the mushroom gravy) and the waitress said, "it's for us to cook with, not to give out" That's fine, but there's literally a thousand little cups for jelly - could one of those be used as a vessel? Either way, if customers are asking for extra condiments it kinda points to a lack of flavor. Disappointed.
Ray Kirby
Arrive early unless you like a line...lol. Everything we have had has been awesome, love the jelly bar and all the different options.
Hurricane Sam
Would you PLEASE be open for dinner? I must go here in the nighttime. Best biscuits ever!
Michelle D'Andrea Maloney
Reviews indicated the lines can be a bit insane even at opening so we were happy to arrive shortly after the 8AM opening to no line outside. We also chose to go to the store front outside of the downtown so I think that added to our success. Our food was ready quick too! The menu is full of biscuit options, especially as sandwiches, but do not underestimate the simple biscuit as there is a full bar of homemade butters and jams. Must do!
Sarah Overbey
Good food, friendly service, and we got our order fairly quickly (we got there early before the breakfast rush). We were pleasantly surprised with the portion sizes and the jam was really good! If I go back I would just get a plain biscuit to enjoy the jam with!
Ipek Olenchek
The food here is SO GOOD. Just incredibly delicious biscuits and gravy and all kinds of breakfast sandwich ingredients to go with it. It was very busy but they prepare the food and you can pick it up pretty fast if you call to order to go! We’ll probably be back to try the other types of gravies we haven’t had yet!
William Mccormack
Wonderful bisquits country ham red eye gravy coffee
Ever thong was so good
michelle Eversole
Yes amazing would definitely return better then excepted. I had the gluten free/vegan biscuits with sweet potato gravy it was amazing. Ordering and seating was outside at this location. It would worth the money would definitely come back my next visit in town
Nick Arnold
Best breakfast I've had in a long time. Had to wait about 45 minutes, but would do it twice over. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area. Wish they had a Biscuit Head in my area! The filthy animal biscuit is phenomenal! Donuts were also delicious.
17 Taco
Really good breakfast. Love the egg Benedict!
Michael Miller
Absolutely delicious breakfast! The biscuits are unbelievably good and massive! My wife and I tried the gravy flight and were very impressed with them. I will definitely come back here. At prime breakfast time the line gets long, often out the door, but the service is quick so it moves along pretty quickly.
Andrew Pharr
Always wonderful food and helpful staff, doing their best during Covid! I recommend the mimosa chicken biscuit as my favorite item and a side of grits with the pimento cheese. If you think you do not like grits because they are too gritty or you have only had instant grits, give these a try. The brisket biscuit was also a great one too! I miss the jelly and hot sauce bar, but you can currently pick a couple options of each in your pickup order and I always recommend the blueberry jalapeño sauce and the sweet potato jam [taste like fall] or the peach if they have it.
USmaddiegirl1
What of those old fashion department stores. Great quality stuff for all!
Caroline Pilkerton
Amazing biscuits!!!! We loved the food, service and overall experience! We had the filthy animal, mimosa fried chicken sandwich and the country ham biscuits. Mouth watering do d and worth the wait! Excellent service!
Elizabeth Robertson
We have had catering from here a few times at work. I (and several coworkers) were not impressed. The chicken biscuit is like fried chicken you would have for dinner, but on a biscuit, making for a weird texture and flavor versus a 'standard' chicken biscuit from other places. I have not visited the actual restaurant so I will update if/when I do.
[My review seems to be the outlier so honestly, I would refer to other folks' reviews.]
Tyler Zager
This is by far my favorite breakfast place in the world. The food always comes out nice and hot. The workers are all very friendly here and the vibe is great. The biscuits taste like no other I have ever had before. Anything on the menu is great here. You can't go wrong with such a great place like Biscuit Head. The bacon of the day is always my favorite thing. You need to try it here ASAP, you're missing out.
Southern Independant
The food is outstanding. The staff were pleasant even considering how busy they were. Their made from scratch dishes make you feel like Grandma has went a bit modern. Highly recommend.
Drew Hines
I’ve eaten here a few times. I love that they have veggie chorizo gravy. I feel like they give you a good helping of the gravy with the biscuit (which is also large), which means leftovers at home for the next few days! I also love their Rosemary Peach jam, especially with their biscuit donuts!
Stefan Glazer
We wanted to eat other places for breakfast. But why bother when Biscuit Head exists. The biscuits were amazing, both regular and vegan options. The gravies were to die for. The food was awesome. The daily specials are worth going back every day by themselves. Plus the efficiency they have is amazing. Don't be intimidated by the line out the door when they open. It's worth the wait. It's worth almost driving the 3 hours to get back there for it at least once a week. So amazingly good.
Stacy Moore Lynch
Food was excellent. The service was very fast. The wait was very long. I had the classic biscuit it was amazing and tried the pork gravy which came highly recommended and I would give it a B minus. It was not thick and lacked substance.
Darren Wertheim
We have now been there three times. Each time has been great. The food is amazing, creative and huge portions.
The service, even in the face of the pandemic, was nothing but courteous and prompt.
They have done a good job transitioning to outside seating that is first come, first served and with a place this popular, it means you will wait a bit, but worth every minute.
Make time to get here for a good, hearty southern breakfast and support local!!
Mx Px
Wonderful biscuits! Their menu made it hard to decide on one thing because it all sounded delicious.
Rachel Simon
YUM. so glad to have checked this out finally and it definitely lived up to the hype!
Brenda Dolinski
I mean the line went across the parking lot...it was amazing!!!! The jam flew.back home with us.
Jonathan Strickland
The best biscuits in Asheville and anywhere else for that matter. No trip to NC is complete without stopping here. There is always a line out the door but don't be intimidated. Believe me, this place is worth any kind of wait. I recommend the mimosa chicken biscuit. For a more tame option, the sausage, egg, and cheese is wonderful too. Their biscuits are huge! If you have room, be sure to try any of the other delicious treats with your biscuit. All the funky flavors of bacon are surprisingly good. I like to add jelly and hot sauce to my biscuit for a sweet and spicy kick.
M. D. M.
Dee-lish! The "flight" of biscuits with 3 gravies was fun to try. Can't wait to come back!
sanjana agarwal
Vegan biscuits! The non vegan were pretty good too!
Sam Nansel
Food was good, but maybe a little too overhyped. You have to stalk people/wait until they leave to snag a table, which was a little uncomfortable. The line to place an order moves quickly though, which was a plus. The highlights were the grapefruit mimosas and sour cherry jam. If you order the full size mimosa, they give you an unopened bottle of champagne and let you mix your own! Overall we enjoyed our experience.
Johnny !
Lovely. Tiny little order-at-the-counter biscuit shop.
My lady and I shared the Benedict, Béarnaise Sauce on point. We also go the greens as a side, which were very rich, tasty. Our friends each got different items.
Got to have a some extra biscuit and sample the jelly bar. (Yes! They have a bar with quite a number of jams/jellys. AND you can purchase them separately. I gander they are made in-house and GREAT.).
Mary Neeley
Ok, so it’s not a “dine-in” establishment but they did have outdoors tables that you could sit at if you wanted to. The trick is to order online, then pick it up rather than standing in a long line and waiting for your food. Everything on the menu was delicious, even as second day leftovers reheated in the microwave. Most people seemed to take their food to go or even tailgate in the parking lot. Would definitely eat here again.
Adding an edit: we went to visit again in October of 2021 and they had dine in seating open but we still sat outside because of the ridiculously long wait. Still recommend.
Aaron Allen
Came here based on a recommendation from a close friend, and Biscuit Head did not disappoint. fast service and amazing food.
Kelli Matheny
I’m sorry but no food is worth standing in line for an hour! It’s my fault for coming on a Sunday for the first time, and I made the assumption that the line would turn over fast since I had been to a popular biscuit place in Black Mountain and the line moved quick. Once inside I realized why the wait, this place is so small for the amount of people wanting to eat here.
The food was delicious and I appreciate them supporting local businesses. Service was friendly but waiting for an hour with a place with average atmosphere made it an overall ok experience. I’ll come back during the week and see how it goes then.
Dan Jay
Very popular spot for brunch. We showed up and there were about 30 people in line. Luckily it moved very fast- they are very organized. The food was more than worth the wait- delicious and so much of it. As one would expect from the name, the biscuits were amazing, and all of the sides were great.
Stacie McDonough
Light and fluffy biscuits, great place for any time of the day. Next time I’ll get my biscuit (or an extra) uncovered, to enjoy more jams and such 😉 …
Emily Brink
The biscuits here are INCREDIBLE. I got biscuits with fried chicken gravy and it was amazing. They have a little jam and toppings bar that is really fabulous, as they make them in house. Also many vegetarian options. Good coffee too. It is worth the wait, but definitely get there early in the morning so you don't have to stay in line forever.
Stephanie Jamison
My experience at this location was pretty positive. The food, of course, was excellent. The only downside is the small space. During peak hours, seating can be a challenge, but the staff did a great job making sure each party had a table at which to sit once orders were placed. We only waited in line to order our food, and then we're able to sit at our assigned table (a long table where other parties were seated as well). Our food was delivered to us quickly, and overall, despite the crowd and sharing a long table (it really wasn't bad), we really enjoyed ourselves.

We love trying local restaurants when visiting different areas. This place is amazing you will love all parts of it. Customer service was excellent, the food was yummy, the homemade jam bar was great! Give it a try you'll be wanting to come back! 😃
Jessica Schafer
Delicious. Everything about it! I had The Filthy Animal with fried chicken, super thick bacon, scrambled eggs, pimento cheese, and gravy. I chose mango chili sauce and sour cherry jam. They make all their sauces and they were excellent. Definitely recommend!
Kyle McClellan
First time in Asheville and this was the first stop we made. Biscuit Head was absolutely delicious! We had the Filthy animal(my favorite), bologna benedict(partner's fav), and the french toast. Don't bother using syrup with the toast, use their strawberry jam. Fast service, polite and patient staff. We will absolutely be coming back when we can! A++++++
Morgan Sparks
Best brunch I have had in a long time. There was a line but it was totally worth it. They provide menus and water while you wait. The food was so amazing, filling, and reasonably priced. Having 2 kids and an infant in our party, the staff was very accommodating. The variety of jams and butters are awesome. I left with some orange zest & clove butter and a jar of sweet potato chai butter.
Kyle Roach
We were googling biscuits and found this place. What an excellent find! Quality food. Friendly service. And for the true Southerner, they even have a Bologna Benedict!
Definitely worth a return (and return and return...) visit.
Bryten Rene Phares
Not all it's hyped up to be.. crowded and loud, so the outdoor seating is nice. The food is good, the biscuits are okay but the eggs are usually luke-warm. The dark coffee is really good. Cool flavor concepts and the flavored bacon of the day is always A MUST!!
Matthew Reich
Just WOW. No wonder this place is so highly rated, it's amazing. I had the champagne chicken biscuit with Apple jam, their fruit was so fresh, my son ordered pulled pork, allergy safe for my little one, and it's amazing. The quality, the freshness, I wish I could give 10*. You can't say enough good about this place! The jam bar, get an extra biscuit for the jams bar, you will NOT regret it. When they write my obituary please include I ate at biscuit head in Asheville - it's close to the Pinnacle of life. Having children, getting married, opening successful business, those all come pretty close to eating at biscuit head. Go there NOW, and thank me later - you probably will. Just WOW. Amazing.
Frank May
Really a cool place although small and old but with a cozy feel. Staff was very helpful. The food was very good. The biscuits are exceptional and absolutely huge and delicious. They have a huge selection of jams, jellies, and butters to go with the biscuits. Try the banana fosters spread it was excellent and the blackberry jam was also very good. Definitely worth the visit and I would do it again. Expect a wait to order and be seated. I would say our wait was about ten minutes. .
Mario
It's Biscuit Head. It's okay they have a jambar that you can get a bunch of jams and they have biscuits. Biscuits are pretty good their Fried Chicken is great your ham is too salty but it's generally pretty solid. I've come here too many times with visiting friends so it's pretty boring since the menu doesn't change much.
Also be ready to wait a long time if you show up after 9 a.m. and you aren't one of the special people they will give table service to for some reason. I still haven't figured out why this table of three people was able to order at their table and not wait in the line like everyone else.
Jon Branum
Get literally anything here.
They have a bacon and latte of the day.
The jam/jelly for the biscuits is awesome.
The fried chicken is my favorite side, it's a thigh and it's awesome.
Jeff Z.
Great food and plenty of it. I suggest getting different foods to pass and share. DO NOT skip the biscuit donuts!!! Very friendly and helpful personnel. If there's a line, it moves very quickly and is well worth the wait.
Jason Dickson
First off... Food was amazing. Fresh, hot, and delicious! Had to get a couple of things because I wanted to try it all. Gravy flight was great. Not about do they have a gravy of the day but also a bacon of the day! Heaven. The line was about twenty out the door when we got here. But it was only about fifteen minutes before we were in and sitting. Staff was very friendly. Can't wait to come back!
Kayla Zagorsky
My husband and I normally love Biscuit Head but were really disappointed on our most recent visit. After first stopping in on our way through Asheville a few years ago, we have made it a point to stop her anytime we're anywhere near. We really enjoyed our takeout around Christmas, so we planned another trip around stopping here for brunch on our way to our Valentine's weekend getaway. We planned to purchase not only brunch for that day, but items for our breakfast for the next few days. We placed an order for $100 of food, and then my husband also purchased a few additional items while picking up that order. When we got back to our campervan, we realized the gravy was in vastly smaller containers than on our visit less than 2 months before. When my husband returned to the store to request our missing gravy, the cashier was very friendly, but the person that prepared the order was very argumentative. He was very put off by the way she acted and after spending $125 wasn't expecting someone to be nasty about a container of gravy. On top of all that, the gravy wasn't nearly as good as usual either. We would still consider returning in the future, but I'm not sure that we would ever go out of our way to visit here again. I will say that the grilled jalapeno hot sauce is excellent, as is the peach rosemary jam (purchased bottles of both to take home). The whole bean coffee available for purchase is also very good.

Best breakfast place in Asheville. The dining was outside and was packed. Waiting line to get in, we'll known for their offerings. Any biscuit is great , home made jams were exceptional. Asheville Benedict was my favorite.
Maria
Currently all outdoor seating. You wait in line to order, and can sit at one of the picknick tables while you wait for your order to be called. This is not table service. But the food is awesome. Hearty portions and very filling, stick to your ribs food. If you like biscuits, bacon, or fried chicken, you will love this place. If you like pimento cheese, you will love this place. Great coffee. They had mimosa packages available where you get a bottle of bubbly and a bottle of orange juice (better for a group). Everything is packaged to go, but you can eat there.
Lilian Hu Nguyen
Really really darn good biscuits. I'm actually not a huge biscuit fan but bad to try Biscuit Head with all the hype. It's definitely worth the hype! Every one of the 5 different biscuits ordered were delicious. Flaky fluffy biscuits, delicious unique homemade jams, tender proteins, bold gravies rounding out the meal. The only downside is all the drinks we tried (2 different lattes and an iced drink) were all really awful. The drip coffee is fine but pass on any drinks and just eat the biscuits!
There is plenty of outdoor seating and you can order ahead online. Located in a doctor/medical park.
Grams Best Life
Loved Biscuit head. Their donuts with the lemon curd are delicious! Not crazy about the sausage or bacon. Will stick to egg and cheese next time. Very busy place, but worth the wait.
Shane Carmadella
It's worth the wait and always busy. don't forget to try all the jams.
Tito Man
I had the filthy animal, it was amazing! Service was fast, courteous and friendly.
Nate J
Always love me some Biscuit Head! There is usually a wait, but hangout and wait if you can...it’s worth it! The staff are super friendly and nice, but they are busy so cut them a little slack. Mmmm bacon latte is a must, and their large selection of butters, honeys and jams is amazing! Try their daily specials are always good. Can’t wait to go back!
Yogesh Pai
Ordered the southern scramble. Was really good, biscuit with the different jam bar was also nice. Coffee was okay though.
Dawson Devitt
One of the best biscuits and overall breakfasts you'll ever eat!!! Biscuit Head gets its name from biscuits the size of a cats head, and it does not disappoint. I could just stop at the mention of a gravy flight......you heard correctly: a choice of 3 gravies from a selection of 6-8. Wife and I went with Pork Sausage, Sweet Potato/ Coconut (tastes a little like a curry), and the best of all Chicken Gravy. Gravies have actual chunks of chicken and pork right in them. Also got the Cajun Biscuit with eggs benedict and andouille. This was too amazing, just the ground mustard did take over a little too much. Coffee is good (wife had a maple bacon latte with a bacon on side) and service is excellent. The place is small and quaint, so get ready to wait a bit, but it is well worth it. To top all off, they have a jam bar: we went with the apple pie, sour cherry, and strawberry. An absolute must visit!!!!
Millie Kwan
Great biscuits and an amazing jam, jelly, butter bar!
Eric Gee
Country ham, eggs, and biscuit. The way breakfasts should be!
Paul Woodall
Great food
Very crowded
You won't go hungry
