Tried Twin Dragons Mongolian BBQ for lunch & Ding How Mongolian BBQ for early dinner. Twin Dragons was def better. Their meats & veg looked & tasted fresh. The sauces were more flavorful. Their buffet had better options. They brought soup for a starter. Salad bar could use a few more options tho. Ding How was not very clean (as in, their floor was grossly sticky...) their sauces are pretty bland. Teriyaki was meh. Mongolian had an odd tomato sauce base flavor? Their buffet offerings were cold & many drenched in sauce. Also, they have notes everywhere from charging extra for plates not finished, to charging mandatory tip on parties of 5+... just not very welcoming....

Great tasting food, very personable owners, and a clean restaurant. We came here for the Mongolian BBQ after reading the reviews of a couple restaurants. We definitely made the right choice. I had Mongolian and a little Chinese from the buffet, my wife had Chinese, and we both had salads. It was all delicious. The restaurant was clean, the food was fresh, well prepared, and delicious. We cannot recommend Twin Dragon enough. It was well worth the trek across town.

Oh how I MISS eating here!! The food is the absolute BEST you can ever get!! I wish they had this in Minnesota! I will be back when I go to AK to visit, but if you havent been here to eat and given them a chance to cook a dish for you, then your MISSING OUT!!! You pick all your own veggies, meats and sauce and give them the bowl to cook it on their grill in front of you. I SO, SO MISS this food!! BEST EVER!!!

The food is as good as you remember it. it has the traditional Mongolian set up, where you fill your own bowl with frozen food and the cook will add the sauce combination you pick. COVID measures are A-1. They give each patron a glove for the shares tongs and ask everyone to wear a mask when at the buffet.

Staff was super friendly, attentive and quick to offer to refill my drinks or ask Mr how my meal was. The Mongolian BBQ section was good - the Chinese buffet was lacking options even though it was 2hrs before closing and a rush of people came in. I'm sure they would have more options had I gotten there sooner.

Decent enough place not a very big selection for buffet but what was there was good (only ate a few things as I can’t eat much anymore) I went dinner time, not very busy, $21 for adult buffet for what I got and limited selection I probably won’t be back. Very nice people run the place though.

I would definitely recommend eating here. They work very hard to provide their customers with a myriad of dining options, whether it be their buffet, the fresh cooking option or ordering a meal off their menu. The two downsides would be that their menu is noticeably limited, perhaps due to pandemic related staff shortages and their building appears a bit cosmetically challenged. If you want consistently decent food, please give them a try.

Good food, but the prices have really shot up. No discounts for Military, so don't expect to have lunch here if you are on base, and the only price option is $22 for which is the buffet and Mongolian BBQ. $22 is too steep for those who are active duty to eat at, so this is maybe a once in a while kind of thing.

We love this place, the lady knows our drink order and brings it to us without asking while we get our food. Its a little run down looking but it's great food. Egg drop soup is not too thick, so I actually like it. Salad bar is acceptable. Buffett food is OK.

Visiting Anchorage, tried just about every all you can eat buffet in the area, this was by far the best and very reasonably priced. Cooked in front of you all you can eat stir fry with several different sauces was very good. The buffet didn’t have a great verity, but the stir fry makes up for that. Staff was great, seemed very clean in there. I liked the glove they give you for when serving yourself food, covid or not it just makes sense. Covid protocols seemed to be very good for those who are concerned with that, they still aloud me to eat without a mask for those not concerned. Overall really good, I will be going back.

I thought the stir fry was very good for a buffet and decent for a normal restaurant. Like it's hard to get much better. They have four or five flavors to choose from: Cantonese style, Mongolian style, Szechuan, and terryaki. All were good to me. My problems with the buffet were the buffet selection was small, but with the unlimited stir fry this doesn't really matter. The dessert donut things weren't great to me. they taste like the rolls from Captain D's with sugar on them. Their egg rolls were really good too. I definitely recommend this place overall. Price was $16.99+ a too from me. Ended up being like $20 cause I like to tip well.

This was the first place we tried in Alaska. It was amazing! We've been back 3 or so more times and it just hasn't hit the same level. Its good, just not as great as our first time. You have to pay attention to your bbq order as they just line them up and move on. If you step away to fill a plate at the buffet, there's no way to tell which bowl is yours vs other customers. They still only offer mushrooms out of a can for the bbq.

Nothing that grabs your attention, but if you're hungry for asian food, here you have basic choices, salad bar, and a Su chef to cook up your combo of food ingredients. Or you can order off the menu. The ambiance is out dated but functional. Worth trying. I got there ahead of the dinner crowd and was able see most of the patrons come in with hungry anticipation. Adults cost $20, children $1.50 per age year. Worth a second review...

I love this place! It has been around for years and has always had the same staff. The young waitress is always friendly and asks about family when they don't come. We almost always go for lunch and go straight to the grill. They have a great selection of buffet food and the chef cooks you food right in front of you. This place was the original Mongolian BBQ in town.

I've lived close to this place off and on my entire life, and I've never waited more than 3 min to be shown to a table. I've never, ever had my drink not refilled promptly. It's always clean, they're never out of anything, their food is prepared consistently, always delicious. Incedibly consistent, it's impressive that nothing crazy has ever happened, never a rude server, never a sly in the food. Sometimes what doesn't happen at a restaurant is the most impressive part. I just love the place.

Don’t let the look of the building fool you. It may not look super inviting on the outside, but... the food is always great. I’ve been eating here for a number of years now. The Mongolian BBQ portion of the restaurant is the best part. Lots of fresh items to choose from and it always tastes wonderful. It’s making me hungry just writing this review.

One of my top 5 places to eat in Anchorage, really a must go, if you've never been there. I love that you can pick your ingredients and get to see it cooked in front of you. Not to mention, who doesn't love all you can eat? Their customer service is great, the staff are always kind, and quick. I've been here a myriad of times and I've never been disappointed. Also, I loved the catchy jingle they had on the radio.

Yesterday at lunch as I was checking out the cashier asked me how my lunch was, I replied the food is always good here. She told me it has been 30 years with no changes. Whenever I go eat lunch it's only for the buffet and Mongolian bbq. Quick and friendly service that can feed a lot of people in a short time. Parking is good and the price is about the same as other all you can eat establishments. Though I am not a regular customer, I never say no when asked if we want to go here for lunch.

This place is really good. The same hostess has been there all the years we've gone and is always enthusiastic to welcome us when we go. The freshness of the Mongolian BBQ with the sauces added by the chef is awesome. The other buffet items are a good compliment as well. Last time I tried the chocolate cake dessert I was sadly disappointed because it was not moist like it appeared.

I would have given less stars but I'm trying to be objective. Everytime I'm in Anchorage, I visit this restaurant because I love the Mongolian cuisine. However, this visit was very disappointing. They do not allow you to put on your owns sauces (flavor) and the selection of ingredients for the dish were very limited. The buffet side was sad as well. Over cooked and dry food. I hope my next visit will see great improvements!

Coming from a family own business, I can understand the dryness of the food. It is really hard to throw food away because it is coming out of the family's expense unlike the chains. The food was good for the price, and I have to say the price is relatively cheap compared to other restaurants for the amount of food you're accessible to. Other than that, it is a good place to try.

Always a great place to get a bite to eat. Especially during the week when there isn't a rush and the food is super fresh. We love it!! We eat here maybe once every 2 weeks. It never gets old watching the noodles get cooked in front of you.

This was my first time going. It was great. The buffet was slim but it's all the favorites and they are Soooo good you don't care that you don't have 20 choices of cooked meat dishes. The BBQ was just as tasty! The atmosphere was clean and the staff was very friendly. My water was always filled and the dishes were cleared off right away. My kids loved it and couldn't get enough! We elected to have the Buffet. The choice bowls that are cooked our in front of you were great with lots of choices and everything looked fresh. The cook was kind and helpful. The Buffet main dishes were lacking but there were choices and the waitress informed us when they had restocked it.

Been going here since I was 8 so over 20 years (now) always liked it. Food is sometimes a little over done in the heat lamps if you go late in the day but that's just how it works, otherwise great food and friendly service. Have NEVER waited to be seated more than 1 minute.

Great Mongolian serve yourself style. I think it was my favorite part, but then you do get to choose your perfect combo of veggies and meats, they even have pineapple. Really tasty medium sized buffet. The spicy shrimp and sweet and sour chicken were my favorites.

If you are not familiar with how to make a bowl for the chef to cook, just ask the staff! They are super friendly and helpful. Dont let the outside appearance or location fool you. This is one of the better places to eat in Anchorage.

The Bar-B-Q guy is pretty impressive, and does a great job. Go try it out, you just might love it.

Prepared buffet was poor at best upon our arrival it started to get changed out as we dined, make your own was far superior however as there is only one grill some spice from a prior order leaches into your nonspicy combo. The building has handicapped parking, looking at the entrance it doesn't look wheelchair friendly I could be mistaken and the restrooms most definitely are not. I personally do not use one but have friends & relatives who do. Would be nice to have them join in a feast

A little expensive at over $10 for lunch, but it is an extensive, well maintained, and tasty buffet which also offers a make-your-own stir-fry option where you select the meats and vegetables, then spectate as they are prepared on a Mongolian grill. All in all worth your time and money. Highly recommended.

Their intererior is almost worth taking all stars away, but my family is loyal and the food is spectacular for a chinese buffet and BBQ joint. Recommend over Ding How, however the price if seceral dollars more per person at Twin Dragon, well worth it in my opinion.

I always love coming to the twin Dragon. They have a basic Chinese buffet with salad and a Mongolian grill where they cook your food to order. It doesn't have as many choices as China lights, but it does have excellent customer service and tasty food!

Twin Dragon. I don't even know where to start. I have been going to the place for 20 yrs. IT HAS THE SAME STAFF AND THE SAME GRILL! So needless to say consistency is there. If you are looking for a run of the mill oriental type place, this place is fine. It has the all you can eat buffet and all that. However there isn't anything special about it at all and you can expect some of the food to be over an hour old.

This restaurant gives you the show of benihana without the fear of being burned or, at least, overheated by the stove. Cooking the meal you plan out with the sauces you choose is one of the better ideas for restaurants, and they do it perfectly. I say, "Let's go!" when asked to go to Twin Dragon Mongolian Bar-B-Q!
