Reviews of Sullivan's Steakhouse
Leroy Stokes
A co-worker and myself decided to stop at Sullivan's after a long day at work! The staff is always nice and very personable. This go around we met the Executive Chef, who blessed us with 2 unique dishes and O-M-,G they were so delicious. The chicken was crispy and the house made sauce was exquisite. I am not a dessert person or really into sweets but if that pastry was on the menu I would most definitely indulge. Even after trying those dishes, I had the steak frites, and everything was outstanding. I have been here plenty of times and this visit just solidifies why I continue to return. Even the Manager helps out behind the bar when it is needed. Definitely a place to try out and I will be back soon!!

Food has really good flavor! You can smell the flavors of the steak as soon as you walk into the restaurant. Expect to spend some $, but it is well worth it. Treat yourself! Our server was on point and constantly checked in on us. Highly recommend.

We were there as part of a tour group of 16 people. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. The server was hurried and made me feel I was in the way of the next group. I know they were busy with the group but other group events I didn't feel this way. The food arrived hot and very appealing. The Delmonico steak was tender and juicy. It had wonderful flavor and texture. The salmon was tender and flaky. The taste and texture were fantastic. The garlic mashed potatoes were smooth and tasty. The spinach had a good taste and texture. I really enjoyed the cheesecake. It was smooth and creamy with good density. It was a very pleasant experience with new friends.

Food was tasty! The Blueberry lemon drop made by Adam the bartender was fantastic!! Like WOW! We got the beef Wellington bites to start, very good! I’ve never seen those on a menu before so I couldn’t pass it up! Went for the prix fixie meal & chose the crab & shrimp bisque, 6oz filet, mash potatoes, side wedge salad, & bananas foster for desert. Everything was delicious, especially the desert which I had to get to go because I felt like I was going to explode! I would give a 5 star, but our table service was horrible. I know it was a busy Saturday night but it was just extra bad. We didn’t even know bread/butter came standard until I went to the. bathroom & noticed everyone had some but us. We had reservations at 7pm & didn’t get our main course until 930pm, which is a bit too long of a wait in my opinion. I would return but probably on a weekday instead.

My first experience of Sullivan's. It was quiet at 2200 local on a Tue night, but the kitchen was open. They offer a restaurant menu, slightly more expensive, or a burger style at the bar, for less cost.
The service was good, food good and no hassle when the bar was closing at 2300.
Plenty of cocktail options on the menu.
Nice place. Will visit again.
Next visit I had the Sure Thing. A 3 course meal with slightly smaller main course than the normal menu. The Fillet Mignon was tender, though slightly overcooked for the requested medium-rare. Good nevertheless.

Excellent overall service and great atmosphere. Very tranquil. The food was delicious. My favorite, the seared ahi tuna was well balanced and the cajun spices just elevated the dish.
The mashed potatoes was creamy and smooth. A bit tad salty for my own personal taste but good nevertheless.
The crab cakes were delicious. Great consistency, sweet and paired well with the cabbage and carrots.
The shrimp and lobster bisque was a bit of a surprise. I was expecting sweet delicate taste of the lobster and shrimp but was spicy. It deviates from the traditional dish but enjoyed it.

We went for our anniversary. It was lovely. We got the Wagyu and Crab Cakes with the Beef Wellington bites and Calamari. The food was excellent. They recommended a great choice of wine to go with our meals. Atmosphere was wonderful and there was live music being played. My only complaint is how little asparagus you were given for the price. Service was a bit slow but I can’t complain over it because it was a full house, so expected. I loved the crab cakes, it is a nice light entree option. We would return.

Thanksgiving it was a madhouse, so we can give them loads of slack for that, but the food and prices are quite high for what they serve. I travel all over Europe on Biz every month so I have a good frame of reference. I sat at the bar, and the bartender was fabulous despite the frenetic atmosphere. I ordered two crab cakes (about $40, photo #2) for an entree and an appetizer crab cake to go. The cakes were delicious but came with no accompaniment, pricey. House Cab, $20 a glass, skinny pour. The two guests on my right had the turkey dinner special. Both dinners look like they had been tossed onto the plate. The man to my left had a large steak which needed some diligent slicing...aka..tough! When my to go order came, I paid and left, but didn't check it. I got home to see that the kitchen had given me the brick chicken (game hen?) with mashed potatoes (photo #1). So someone in Anchorage is real mad now because they got one single crabcake for about $34! It was fun to try to chix but it had also been overpriced and a greasy mess...far too much butter and oil. But just to reiterate, the bartender did a wonderful job despite serving the bar libations and also his colleagues, Bravo!

I don’t normally order salads from steak restaurants but this is delicious (and so are the fries I ordered to go with it so I wouldn’t steal my boyfriend’s)! The steak could use more seasoning, but that’s it. The staff is very polite and checks on you often. If you sit at the bar area the service is also very quick!

Service was Great, We ordered the steak salad, Onion Soup, and Ahi Tuna Steak. And all were phenomenal. The prices aren't low, but that means you are in for a treat. A meal for 3 adults with a kids menu order, totalled to be just under $200.
