If you don’t mind waiting after the open up right away, definitely check this place out! Customer service is spot on and the place is clean! One of the better tasting ramen joints for sure. Before we moved up here, we had a ramen joint we loved but was a tad salty but this, chefs kiss. The cut of their pork is very savory and melts in your mouth. Broth, is spot on, even for the more sensitive taste buds of a child. Sushi was delicious even though, yes it is just a Cali roll. We almost came a second time the next day.

We had just arrived in Anchorage, tired and hungry, and this was our first stop. Based on the name alone (thanks to my son the Naruto Anime super-fan). We were definitely not disappointed. They have the BEST curry I’ve ever had! The depth of flavor was intense and I loved it! My son got the Naruto Ramen and the broth was fantastic. It wasn’t greasy and held all the ingredients together very well. I will be back for the curry before we leave the area for sure!

I ordered the Shoyu Ramen and the Spicy Tuna Roll. I can agree with some other reviews the broth was definitely on the saltier side but not to the point it still couldn’t be enjoyed. I had asked for added mushrooms, but sadly they were forgotten :( It was still very delicious none the less! I also appreciated their take out system and keeping the broth and ingredients separate and was able to mix it at home. The sushi roll was tasty and a great value as well. I would definitely order from here again!

The food is amazing especially the beef curry , the takuyaki is not litturly on the menu but they have them. plz stay as long as you want till your stomach settles, I had ramen and curry with there amazing japanese beer I didnt let my stomach settle so I puked but I was still satisfied, just take your time and enjoy your self and dont make the same mistake I did and always ask question about there menu if you don't know anything or what to get, the waitress there is super nice and cute

Great Ramen spot ! These bowls are gigantic and super filling. I got the veggie with chicken broth and a side of fried chicken, both were delicious. Their complementary dessert and mango ice cream were also spot on.

Naruto was a very warm and delightful experience. They have a great atmosphere and very fun decor. The curry ramen was phenomenal! The custard dessert was great! The staff was nice and engaging. It was a great ending to a windy day of hiking and long day of driving.

In addition to ramen they sell a variety of other Japanese foods like Katsu, Udon, and rolls. They also have Takoyaki which was nice and hot. You can always expect the same food every time you come here.

HUGE PORTIONS. I had gotten some sort of noodles, I didn't think there would be so much. The staff didn't talk much, or come to see if we needed we fills, however there were only two workers and it was busy.

This place is the best overall Japanese restaurant that service the 3 classic cuisines. Sushi, Ramen, Mains. I give this place a 5 because I think their best trait is their rice Dishes, whether you get the curry or the katsu, or the teriyaki. It is soooolid. The Ramen is great too, but it isn’t necessarily the best. This restaurant is overall just a solid Japanese restaurant where the food is consistent. Don’t get me wrong, their ramen dishes are great and I definitely am frequent customer, but I wouldn’t say they are the best at their ramens

Best Ramen in town. I'm a huge fan of ramen and have had many ramen dishes in Japan. This place seems to hit home the most. I recommend the tonkotsu ramen. However, everything there is really good. The owners are really nice and always very welcoming.

Living in Japan for 7 yrs and trying to find a ramen shop in anchorage, I was recommended this spot. With that said food was good, even though it didn't taste exactly like what I was a custom to accustomed to in Aomori-shi. However, still good non the less.

Ate here a number of years ago and the ramen was absolutely delicious. Love how the interior design of the restaurant is focused on creating a Japanese-focused environment. You've got Japanese posters on the wall, two TV's playing Japanese media (either news or anime), and the staff is very welcoming.

Best ramen I’ve had anywhere (including Japan.) We had the veggie ramen with halibut miso broth and the Alaskan ramen. Nice local restaurant and good service. Best part about it is the delicious tofu pudding the bring gratis for dessert. We will definitely come back.

This particular ramen house is definitely off the chain. I've had various dishes ranging from katsu to different types of ramen & udon, but my go-to is the Kimchi Ramen. What makes the ramen special is the noodles aren't pre-packaged Nissin Ramen, but actual hand-made ramen / udon noodles in specialty broth. Service is always prompt & excellent whether it's dead or a packed house, I'm taken cared of. The setting of the restaurant has all-things Japanese culture vibes to it which is awesome. Pretty good ramen restaurant! It's actually the first time I've gotten it in Anchorage. I'm used to the eclectic ramen scene in Los Angeles so I don't bother coming in Alaska. However the other day I was craving it. I came by and it's a nice quaint restaurant that is very affordable.

First off I LOVE Naruto (the anime) and I love Japanese food so I obviously fell in love with this restaurant! The food was soooo good! The naruto curry, pork katsu curry, crunch roll, California roll and the spicy tuna roll are a must try!

Pretty good tonkotsu ramen for Alaska. Pork chatsu was good. Egg was hard boiled, not soft boiled as it should be. Could have used abut more bean sprout and green onion. Service was excellent. Friendly staff. Clean restaurant. Broth flavorful and hearty. Would def recommend.

Took my son for the 1st time tonight. We did not know at 1st that they were playing Boruto, but they let us move from the booth to the table where he could watch. We spent over an hour while eating as he talked my ear off about Naruto. They even made him make shift training chopsticks so he could eat with them easier <3 We'll be going back!

I highly recommend this place. The food is excellent. I spent a week in Alaska and I ate here as often as I could. The chicken katsu curry is absolutely delicious.

If I was a food critic on this restraunt and was asked to give a number 1-10, it would reach 9. The places soup is really good, and if you like pot stickers, you would like their gyoza, but as a downside to their amazing food, there usually is a wait, so if you are the kind of person has a lot of patience, this is the right place for you!

One of the things I apprechiate about Anchorage is the variety of international cuisine available here. Asian cuisine and gourmet Ramen is some of my favorite dishes in the world. I tried their Naruto Miso Ramen dish. On point with some of the best I've had in Asia. The tasty eggs and the broth were delishes! I was slurping in style. Next I took my waitress's advice and went with a Beef and Chicken curry. Full disclosure, I will destroy CoCo's curry any chance I get. Naruto's curry surpassed CoCos in taste, quality and quantity. Naruto's has earned a spot in my heart and I will be back!

I've eaten ramen in many places and I've been able to finish my all ramen bowls but this place had very tasteless broth and I did not finish it. The price was relatively cheap compare other restaurants though.

Im a fan of the wisdom that is Naruto. I was with a group visiting from out of town, and when I saw the shop; i was eager to go in and have some ramen. No one in my group had eaten authentic ramen before, and they were very satisfied having it for the first time. I was also very happy to see authentic comics and decoration from the series in the restaurant as well. I felt my chakra develop and surge through my veins. I had warm sake with a Naruto miso ramen and pork. So much food for my money! My infant son who has been a picky eater ( only french frys) would not stop eating the noodles and drinking the broth. I may just move to anchorage from chicago if my wife will let me. May be extreme, but Naruto and I share a birthday. So whos to say.

Awesome place! If you love anime classics and ramen this is the place! The employees are sweethearts and the food is super too notch, even the cucumber rolls are great! They have anime playing on at least one of the TV's, the place is decorated comfortably. If you're looking for good quality food and ramen I always recommend Naruto!

This ramen has a great collection of flavors. Egg drop and bean sprouts for a nice crunch. Like that they add greens. Extremely satisfying. Good family run place with chill young waiters and some really neat art. Some handmade by the grandfather! More of a quiet conversation type of place. Really enjoyed it

Tried the tonkatsu miso ramen, first time here. Was a 20 min wait at the door but it was well worth it. Most of my favorite restaurants I eat maybe one or two items off the menu, this is a restaurant that I want to keep coming back to try every dish and enjoy them all. Very filling bowl, but not overloaded with cheap fillers like other noodle joints in ANC. The broth was amazing, the noodles were well cooked, and all the fixings were just enjoyable and heart warming. Take your time and take someone you really like. So good!! Take out is slightly smaller I think vs dine in. They are very popular. Naruto Miso with Gyoza is my go too! The little desert at the end is the pot of gold at the end of this noodle rainbow of delectable flavors! I always find how many times my husband goes.....day later. The owner knows him and his order by name. That's the true sign of a great place to dine.

I'm making a review just because I saw a guy give one star because "it's not even a naruto themed restaurant" and the 'miso ramen wasn't good.' For those who don't know, a naruto is that little white fish cake with the pink swirl in the middle that you get in your ramen. It's even on their sign. The ramen is so satisfying and I always go there to get their ramen when I get stuffed up from allergies but the real reason I go there is because no one makes brown curry like they do in Anchorage. I think about their curry A LOT and it's the perfect portion for me.

SUPER friendly wait staff. Gave some suggestions to really enjoy my meal, since I don't get to enjoy ramen often. Had the Kimchi Miso Spicy Ramen. Just one bowl was very filling and had great flavor and spice. Definitely will be returning soon.

This place makes very tasty ramen. I would give 5 stars but there’s a couple things that stand out. Cons: - They hard boil their eggs, instead of making classic ramen eggs (soft boiled and then soaked in a soy sauce mix for a few hours). The yolk ends up cakey and the texture is just off compared to the rest of the ramen. - Their vegetable selection for the ramen is lacking. Cabbage, mushrooms, bean sprouts or green onion. They could add bamboo shoots, crispy garlic, etc. Pros: - the broth is VERY tasty. - perfect choice of noodles

They have been really busy lately! So do come a little early or call if before you want to dine in or head out. It is first come first serve. They may even close early depending on how busy they get. Food is always yummy though! My favorite is always the spicy kimchi ramen and takoyaki!

The ramen was delicious! Naruto is a great place to go on a chilly day. The first time I went the service was great, and the second time it was ok. The food was flavorful. My favorites were the vegetable ramen and curry ramen. I would definitely recommend trying this with a friend.

This place has come along way. When we first ate here years ago when they first opened, thier food tasted no different than cooking top ramen yourself. I can safely say that the quality of thier food has gone up drastically. My personal favorite is the cheese ramen. Food also comes out in a timely manner. Always quick, I never have to wait more than 10 minutes.

This place is fantastic! The curry is the best in Alaska. I recently tried the curry ramen, and I never knew the two could combine for a terrific flavor. Their sushi rolls are a great sidekick, and really inexpensive as well. Never a bad choice for a date night at Naruto!

Good noodles and rich broths make their ramen a cold weather go-to in Anchorage, but a fine comfort food anytime of year. Their staff is friendly and attentive. An inviting place to dine. Could use a few local beers on tap to really round out the menu though!

My gf and I went on our first official date here! Relaxing family environment. Most japanese food tends to be a bit on the pricy side but not here. It's reasonably priced considering the portions. The kitchy japanese tv programs are a riot! I've enjoyed talking asian culture with the owners and there then high school aged son. Though I don't believe they are in fact of japanese decent.. or at least not fully.

Absolutely brilliant. I lived in Japan for 6 years and this is the first very authentic Japanese restaurant that I have found in Alaska. Ask for the Tako Yaki not on the menu. Service was excellent and the food was stellar!

Ordered the tonkatsu with extra egg and mushrooms and the spicy meat ball (which wasn't too too spicy! Enough to clear my sinuses but not waging war in my mouth). Broth was really good, noodles were good but not really good, eggs were definitely hard-boiled instead of soft-boiled which was disappointing because so much flavor is lost with a hard-boil. Also had a soy custard dessert which was reeeeaalllyyy good. Highly recommend it! Only thing keeping me from 5 stars was the hard-boiled egg and the noodles. Definitely couldn't stop sipping the broth! Service was good also.

Good Ramen! Anchorage can be hit or miss when it comes to cuisine outside of the standard pub fare. And good ramen can be hard to find in any city. Pork broth was very tasty, noodles, and veggies cooked just right. Only complaint was the egg looked not quite freshly boiled, but was still tasty. Staff was quick and efficient, but friendly. Definitely got a local neighborhood vibe. Good stuff!

Noodles are happy food, and udon here is delicious. However, if you aren't in a noodle mood, the curry is good, too. And a delicious light custard desert comes with lunch. The service is warm and friendly and prices are reasonable.

I've only recently discovered this place, but I'm already in love. If you like ramen at all, get the ramen. For pickier eaters, they'll serve plain broth and noodles. I don't recommend ordering the gyoza. And the service is friendly! Edit 9/7/19: I wanted to give this place 5 stars! I've been here more times than I care to count and its honestly my favorite place in Anchorage. The food is so incredibly consistent, the service is continually fantastic and I've found that my dislike of the gyoza is personal opinion because my sister adores it. Worth a visit for locals and tourists!

Omg their food is the best!! I’d eat there all the time if I could! It’s such a comfortable place, and they have cartoons on, I feel like I’m a guest at someone’s personal private house. I learned how to use chop sticks at a Japanese restaurant in the 80s, and I’ve been a fan of Japanese food ever since, BUT: I’ve never had sushi this good in my life! Their attention to detail, and consistency is impeccable. Naruto is the GodZilla of Japanese restaurants I my honest and humble opinion. The Ramen, and egg, and Chashu pork is phenomenal!! I vaguely remember the food at Nobu Las Vegas being awesome, but Naruto beats that place hands down IMO. It was Vegas, and of course I was drunk, and Nobu I recall was still amazing, but wow Naruto is my new favorite place in Anchorage. If Naruto had that Japanese Whiskey, and side car drink i had in Vegas, they’d have everything.

Was pretty disappointed. The broth was not particularly special nor were the prices. If you want Japanese style Ramen in Anchorage this is pretty much your only option. It could satisfy your cravings but I've definitely had better in Canada and on continental us.

Some very unusual selections for a Gaijin like me. They have Kirin and Sapporo also, good wait staff, clean place. Decor could be better but I did like the way they had Anime/Manga and cross cultural posters. Recommended.

Excellent place to get ramen! This is my favorite place to get soup (excluding pho). The restaurant is always clean and the waitstaff there aren't constantly bugging you. Prices are about what you would see in Anchorage. Be aware though that they are not open on Monday's.

I was sceptical when we went to naruto an even looking at the menu I wasn't sure if I would like the food, but i loved it the noodle bowles are huge. Only down side is not really a kid friendly dinner spot. My kids basically ate pot stickers. So not a place I would go for family night again but maybe with my husband

I love this family owned restaurant. The husaband and wife are just so wonderful and their kids are great. Their son waited on our table and played with my little boy for a bit. Also, GREAT RAMEN! Love it. I like the Kimchi Ramen the best with a spicy tuna roll :)

Me and my girlfriend have been regulars here for about a year and a half and I thought it was about time to give this wonderful place a review. Excellent service, absolutely fantastic food, (Tonkatsu miso ramen is by far my favorite thing on the menu with a side of rice) all at a reasonable price. The average meal of one ramen, curry, or udon with a side will run you up to about $15 to $18. And it comes with a complimentary custard like desert. This is the best restaurant in Anchorage in my opinion.

Fantastic food served in a cozy Japanese themed environment. Nice variety of noodle and ramen dishes as well as sushi and various katsu. Last time I went the noodles were homeade. Perfect spring and stretch to them! If you have never had a fresh homemade noodle then you owe it to yourself to go. Top it all off with Japanese TV and anime playing softly in the background and you've got fun for yourself or the whole family. Dattebayo!

Authenticish Japanese ramen house complete with non-stop Japanese television shows playing while you eat. Most of these are anime's or the wacky game shows you may not realize are a staple in Japan. Limited menu but what's on here is great. Bowls are huge and food is filling. The pudding like dessert is kind of a no for me but overall this is a diamond in the rough for Anchorage.

When I checked into the Super 8 across the street, I couldn't quite believe what I saw. Finally, when curiosity could not be contained any further, I walked in. Immediately, a greeting is called out in what I assume is Japanese and a small lady with a kind smile appears out of nowhere to seat me. I am left to review the menu and it appears small at first but offers a wide variety. I finally settle on ordering some curry ramen with a spicy tuna roll on the side. As I wait for my food, I start to take in the surroundings. It's a weekday, early afternoon and expectedly quiet. The seating is ample though so I wonder about the evening crowd. There is a small bookcase near the entry filled with manga, spilling up onto the counter above it. While I am not quite brave enough to get up to survey the titles, knowing the length of the restaurant's namesake anime, would not be surprised if they are the Naruto and Naruto Shippuden series. More demanding of the attention though are the two flat screen TVs hung from the ceiling, one is playing anime from the 90s and the other personality gameshows (both muted). Music plays over head, I recognize a few from the Naruto anime's openings and endings. Just as I am beginning to make sense of the 'boy band showing off their art skills' show, the sushi arrives and a refill of my water. I enjoy my roll (the boy band is now performing their music -- still muted) and find that while the sushi is fresh and delicious, I will not write home about it. But the next course! Oh the next course. I knew portions would not be a problem, but was still daunted by the size of that bowl with the aroma of heaven coming off of it. I dug in. Oh the soft noodles, the flavorful green onion, the tasty egg, the crispy bean sprouts and the crown jewel: the rich broth. I will write home about this. I will come again tomorrow, I will have pork katsu on the side. I will find the pork katsu to be perfectly crispy with a savory sauce drizzled over it. I will miss this place when i have to go back to Tacoma. But I will tell my friends and my family, and I will come back. And when I thought that I have had all I could have, then came a dessert. A small portion of custard with honey and a granola mix typing. Delightfully sweet and easy in the bursting stomach. Top marks! 👍👍

Nice place to get Japanese food in Alaska. The ramen and curry were amazing as well as the included desert. The sushi was average at best, but they don't advertise themselves as a sushi restaurant. The vibe from the place was really cool. It's a small with kinda poor lighting. They were playing some Gundam series on one of the tvs, and had most of the Naruto manga available to read as well as some other popular manga titles such as One Piece and Fairy Tail.
