Haven't been there in quite a while. But for the price ya can't beat it. Senior a retired and active military get a small discount. Price board is in the pictures. I made my own smoked sausage sweet roll sandwich. Was pretty good. Later mad a pulled pork sandwich / slider with extra stuff. Best bet bring rolls to table with toppings on the side then build there lol Only disappointment was the restrooms are not kept up as well as they used to. Could use a serious deep clean. But overall was a pleasant experience

Very nice assortment of foods for all diets and tastes. Desserts are pleasant, main dishes hearty, light foods plenty. I advise using the small portion method your first few times coming here to get a feel for what you enjoy here, the food fills you up quickly. I highly emphasize portion control to be able to taste everything you need for first time visitors. After that, feel free go to town. Even though I'm like a garbage disposal, I do not eat everything here, I select a handful of specific items that keep me happy and well behaved. Personally the pot roast is delicious, brownies, ice cream, jello, meat loaf, etc. I end up getting 2-4 plates of food per complete sitting. They even have mac & cheese. There is something for everyone and the price is reasonable. Recommended for people who enjoy buffets.

Friends and I went to Golden Corral Buffet for Thanksgiving. It was a packed place & your whole party had to be there or they wouldn't sit you. We paid $20.28 each with a fountain drink. The host, I believe was a mgr. He was friendly & professional. The variety & taste of the food was great. I loved having my traditional Thanksgiving meal with a variety other meats & sides as choices. It was really good. Pros: No long day cooking in the kitchen or washing dishes & being exhausted early. Cons: My only complaint I have is they were a little slow about refilling drinks. But I cant even complain it was a constant flow of people there. The lines went out the door to the parking lot. Staff was pleasant & respectful. I certainly recommend this place to anyone.

Energetic service for when we went on the closing hour. After 5 plates of comfort food, the only complaint I have was the fried okra could have been crisper. That's it. Overall a great experience.

It was ok, we went when it was about to close, not realizing of course. No one told us either, they let us walk in and pay and we barely had time for one plate before the manager came over and told us to hurry and get dessert because they're all closing already, then we got so many stares, obviously upset we were there and rushing us out. Other people were around but small families, we have 7 in our family, and the experience was just so wrong. We've learned to already check closing time from now on. In Alaska everything closes early, we weren't aware of that. Besides that, whatever plates we did get the food was decent.

Food is fresh lunch was tasty. First time having liver and onions and was bombin. Pot roast was amazing, chicken soup and giant yeast roll was amazing. Complimented a, I assume, rloor manager for freshness and service. Then I got to the bathroom stall. I know its a high traffic, but the bathrooms need to be maintained. Was stocked fine but the grit an stains about weren't cozy. Its a small complaint, but hygienically important. I hate being that guy, but have work food industry. If thats the bathroom, whats the kitchen like?

Food was delicious. Huge line today (Thanksgiving). The manager said it was like that all day & we were there at 3:30pm!! Even though we had to wait in line for over 30min, the staff was super nice & helpful & the food was fresh & delicious!

1. Lunch starts at 11 AM to 4 PM. 2. Dinner starts at 4PM to 8PM. 3. Wide range of choices, starts from salad, fruits, plenty of meat, like pork, beef, chicken, and also fish. Dessert including icecream, too. 4. Like any other restaurant in Alaska, water is complimentary. 5. No Tax. 6. Make sure to leave some tip for the server, they deserve it.

Has a good selection of food. Can get quite crowded at times. The food is a range of quality depending on the dish. If you are looking for a large selection to choose from, this is your place, if you are looking for any one quality dish, find a place that specializes in that dish. Not bad for once in a while, or if you have a group that all like different things.

Excellent breakfast, lunch, and supper buffet. On every occasion that we have visited, the buffet offerings were constantly being replenished. The servers are always polite and pleasant. Above all, the price is extremely reasonable as compared to other eating establishments in the immediate area. They also offer military discounts, senior citizen discounts, and also provide military veterans with a free meal on a Veterans Day.

As much as this isn’t my favorite place when I’m in the lower 48 to eat, we eat here when we’re in town to do a Costco run. It’s cheaper for lunch and the little one is free so we don’t have to worry about an expensive meal. They have some good food, and it’s usually pretty busy, but less so for lunch of course.

Food is tasty, and kept at a good temperature. They have a wide variety of dishes, and their stations are kept clean. The service at the front cash register needs to be friendlier. I'm not sure why they insist on putting employees up front who do not have the personality for it. I felt like I was in line at the DMV. All in all though a decent experience.

Always pretty good, the pizza, macaroni and cheese, and steak is what I usually get when I go. And I love them all a lot. Especially the pizza, for some reason it's absolutely amazing to me. The steak is pretty great too. And the brownies with chocolate on top. I could eat those all day.

Having 5 kids and two with food allergies, it is nice being able to stop somewhere and all of us be able to eat. Ask for their allergy list and find the foods that make everyone happy. *Edit 6/15/2022* The last 3 times we've gone in it has been disappointing. The gentleman running the grill just could not understanding what a blue rare or rare steak was, laughed at us when we asked, and thinking all the steak needs to be medium well to well done. The waiting staff was lacking in drinks, refilling drinks, having to be tracked down for needs of the table and clearing used plates from the table. The bathrooms have also been less than clean, which wasn't something we found issue with lately. Hoping things will improve, as this is one of very few places we can go as a family to eat, with severe food allergies.

They used to have pepsi products, but now they have cocacola products. They were also out of sherbert ice cream. Their steaks are pretty bland and are like leather. one time I got a steak that was so raw, I could still hear the thing mooing.

5 stars 🌟? For a Golden Coral?? Yes! Now, all things are not equal. I'm not saying this is 5 stars compared to Hells Kitchen. Let's get serious, this is a Golden Coral Buffet. Our expectations were low. Real low. The last time we ate at one we completely understood why it was closed up the next day! However, things can be different here in Alaska and I needed a salad option for lunch! Standard Sunday "Dinner all day pricing" schedule. The place was clean, no funky odors, staff was pleasant and consistent. Lots of clean plates, PLENTY of food, fresh food at that, and tons of great looking veggies at the salad bar! My steak was a perfect medium though it was very thick which I wouldn't complain about but it's not like you're given sharp knives to cut it and it's a Buffet so it's not exactly melting in your mouth. My son's steak though was very, very rare. Fried shrimp was fresh, hot and crunchy. Broiled? white fish was nice and subtle. Only negatives was 2 service spoons had gunk on them and the collards were tasteless. I was too stuffed to have dessert (not that I saw any sugar free options anyway) and we did not use the facilities. If you're starving, have a variety of palettes to feed and/or need quick food, you shouldn't be disappointed. I would be 100% ok going back, and we will! Great job Anchorage Golden Coral!

Wow! The food was great, and what a selection! The staff was very friendly and attentive. If you are really hungry, try it. If you just an awesome selection from salads through steak and roast beef, chicken, pork, pot roast or fried liver and onions, includind fish and shrimp, try it. If you like desserts and soft serve ice cream, try it. It is really good, down to earth food at a great price (considering you eat ALL you want). What's not to like? Now, if you're snooty and demand starched linen and an ocean front view with a waiter who speaks bad French, maybe this isn't your place.

I really appreciate the employee's positive attitudes. The salad bar is awesome. My husband and I absolutely love the cornbread it's extremely yummy. I enjoy the music that plays low key. The only thing I was disappointed with was the desserts such as the brownies, fudge and marshmallows had to of been sitting out long enough that the flavor went stale and unfortunately dried out enough to be unenjoyable.

This place is cheap and reliable and you can eat all you want. This one is just like any Golden Corral across the nation. It will not do any better than any other Golden Corral but it does what it supposed to and it does it right. Honestly I've lived in many states all containing golden corrals and each one of those states I legit hated buffets. It's such a turn off to see the way some of these establishments run behind the scenes where customers can't see the lack of care or passion those have about there food. Back to anchorage I came here and expected the same due to its name but I was wrong. This place shows that it's not about the name on the sign but the people they have working behind the scenes that make the difference. I can't complement everything because honestly I haven't tried everything but I definitely can compliment most. I enjoy eating here any day of the week. Ohh and I must compliment the bread pudding dude I love it!

It was one of the nicer Golden corrals I have been to. The only issue I had was that the chef who was making the steaks wouldn't make me a fresh steak because it was an hour and a half before closing. All of the other steaks had been sitting on the side of the grill for a good minute.

Prices are excellent, restaurant clean.. employees,for the most part friendly. They appeared understaffed.. so it was a lil slow getting fresh food out. Got to give them props for doing their best. Their dessert area was super slow and the two people working it were rude. I'm not sure why their ice cream machines were down, couldn't be due to "covid" as the restaurant was packed, and everyone was using the same tongs and spoons to serve themselves. However, I was told that's why.. They seriously need some help in the dessert area.. thankfully all their other food was hot and tasty.. for a busy buffet!!

Our family has always loved Golden Corral; my son was pleased and excited when I suggested it for a late Tuesday lunch. He went through two or three huge plates of food (where do they put it all?!). If they have something set out that you don't like, don't take any. Simple. All of my healthy favorites are always tasty, perfectly prepared, attractively served, and the entire restaurant is kept very clean. The servers are attentive and cheerful (so please remember to tip them appropriately!), and the cotton candy (my downfall) is made to order. They also have a few flavors of actual ice cream and some sherbet or sorbet, as well as the ice-cream-sort-of-dessert that you squeeze out of the big white machine. Considering the variety of selections and all the great food, the prices are very reasonable. Go relax, eat everything you want, and enjoy a fulfilling meal!

This is one of my favorite places to go, as I can have just a little bit of a lot of different things, and satisfy all my different tastes at the same time. On the few occasions where I have a problem with some of the food not being hot enough or not being present, I mentioned it to one of the workers and it is taken care of almost immediately. My only problem with the place is I tend to eat too much :-)

Not bad not great either. Did not have steak for some reason. I went there for steak but was dumbfounded instead had to Seattle for liver and half cooked onions. The dessert lady was not having fun. Over all staff were in a misersble mental state, it seemed like. Note to the manager: take care of your people, if your turn over is high it is because your people are not happy, your place is not happy.

I love having family breakfast here! The options are robust in nature and the cost is affordable at $10 bucks a person. You can have something made fresh or get a slab of steak with your eggs. I love the ham too! The blueberry pancakes are the best. The environment is friendly and very family orientated. I was impressed with how clean the facility was as well. Good place to eat. The usual foods. Could be better if they did a complete remodel, replaced the carpet, updated the food bar tables and updated their cashier tables. Complete building remodel. Inside and out. New paint job. Love the hand sanitizer stations. Need to keep the hand sanitizer stations. 4 out of 5 stars, because a new building remodel would help the establishment appear more clean.

I was in a party of 4O. We had excellent service!!! "Superman Chuck" made sure our glasses were filled and our plates promptly removed. Many times he anticipated what we wanted before we even asked. Very friendly atmosphere. Wide selection of food. Steak and roast were excellent! Smoked ribs little dry, but flavorful. Mac & cheese was a favorite with the younger members of group and the salads/fruits were also popular with many. Wide range of dessert choices. Very positive comments about the food. Unbelievable service!!!

Foods usually fresh. The steak is pretty fatty but tastes great. It's your typical all you can eat fair. Not a place you go to expecting fine cuisine, but pretty good none the less. Usually a good selection of meats, veggies, salad and deserts. I usually stop in at least one on my business trips just so to change things up. The place has always been clean and the staff friendly.

This place is a great value, large variety, some things are outstanding like their grilled steak, cooked rare for me, the seasoning made this taste really delicious, their ham is good if you like it on the sweet side which I do. The salad bar is really good with with variety of add-ons. But not everything is good. Pick and choose, try not to get too much of any one thing. Coffee is included but not the best.

Ah a fat kids favorite place to eat. The wide and kids love to eat here because they can make salads with all thier favorite toppings and pick from multiple deserts. I just love the variety of meat options and fresh veggies. Win win for everyone. The servers are almost always nice, and check on you pretty often. The food is a mix of emotions for me. Some of it is always pretty fresh and at least decent food, some of it does not get much attention from the cooks. The bar where you get steak, cut ham and other nice treats, is almost always unmanned leaving you to wait and try to flag someone down to get any of it, if you can even get their attention. Overall it's an ok place to eat for a buffet, but honestly, thoes of us who remember Royal Fork know that there is a better way and better food.

Good value. I would expect to pay a lot more for a place like this in Anchorage. Huge selection of food. Waitress was super busy, and still very personable. I would eat here again. The bad: Just very much a cafeteria vibe. Some of the food was very mediocre (some was actually surprisingly good). My recommendation is to give it a try and do not be shy to sample a lot of different items. And PLEASE tip your waiter/waitress. They are working their asses off bussing tables and taking care of you.

Our experience started with friendly and welcoming staff right at the door. From there, my friends and I chose a table and scoped out the buffet. There were SO MANY OPTIONS! From salads and every topping you could imagine to rolls to steaks, ribs and chicken. Sides like mashed potatoes and fried okra and Mac and cheese, fried clams, corn and more! Each food bar was clean and food looked good, fresh and hot. The desserts were plentiful and also were hot and delicious.

I looked high and low for a catering service for a wedding. Checked almost every place in Anchorage. Calls and emails where not returned. Prices where crazy high.. No body really seemed interested until I approached these folks at Golden Corral. They bent over backwards to supply a diverse menu with dietary restrictions the day before the busiest in there year. We fed over 150 people some great food and still had food left over to give to Brother Francis. The cost was a third of the lowest bid we had from any other catering service. The prices were great, the food ready on time and the 3 managers we worked with were a delight. I highly recommend considering this place for your catering.

I also like their desserts. But what gave me the will to give a 3 star is that I found hair on my pizza, not very cash money. Would come again as a last resort.

It's an okay place to eat, usually it's clean, the waiters are nice and respectable and the food area is constantly clean. I don't care to eat there too often because I don't eat a lot of food so I spend more money on food then I would if I ate somewhere else. But, my kids love to eat at this place and it's cheap enough for them to eat all they want with mostly southern-style Foods with us being from Georgia. If at all possible avoid going on Sunday afternoons after church it is just too crowded for my liking and too many younger kids running around doing what they want to do as you're trying to eat. The breakfast is also pretty good but as I mentioned I don't eat a lot so end up paying more money that I would pay by just grabbing a biscuit from McDonald's or some other fast food place. I do suggest this place for a large family to eat or any size family to eat just be mindful or when you visit because it gets crowded at certain times of the day and certain days.

Great prices, come here every few days and NEVER had a problem with rude employees. Food is always great, it’s a family favorite. The steak is always to die for, the only problem I’ve ever had was not knowing what to eat because I wanted to eat EVERYTHING! Haha But the only real issue I would give golden carol is there bathrooms are sometimes very awful, some days there is beautiful and clean bathrooms and other days you can’t find a toilet because everyone made a mess in the stalls but I wouldn’t consider this a problem with the staff it’s more of a problem with disrespectful costumers not cleaning up after themselves. Overall definitely 5/5 star, WE LOVE THIS PLACE and will always come back

Apparently a very popular place as it was super busy when we arrived. We were able to pick our seats relatively quickly and then able to browse the buffet and select what we'd like to eat. While there was a pretty large selection of different types of food, I just really didn't find anything that blew my mind, so to speak. We go for breakfast. Believe it or not my husband loves their fried chicken even for breakfast. It a crispy on the out side and juicy and tender on the inside. Its great if you like waffles to go with. Omlets to order, I order mine with the works, that means everything. On Sundays they have steak which is tender and you can get it as rare or as done as you like. The imitation crab salad is really good. Their coffee is re add really good and the waiter keeps the cup filled up. Love breakfast sausage and bacon, all you can eat. Chicken fried steak you thing and country gravy its there.

The front counter staff was friendly and got us in very fast consodering how packed they were. The food was great and seemed to be very fresh and hot. They have a great variety of things from salads to steaks, seafood, pizza, etc. The dessert was kept stocked as it was going fairly quick. Our server didnt really come to our table and I didnt see her much at other tables near us either. She was sweet when she came around just wish she would have helped us or even our section in general more than she did.

The Greater was friendly and helpful. The waitress was attentive and nice. However, the food was very undesirable. The scrambled eggs were over cooked, the bacon was a very poor grade and tasted more like fat than bacon. The Kielbasa type sausage was cold and the hashbrowns were under cooked. But the water, ketchup and hot sauce were good.

First criticism is a personal nitpick, and not one to this specific location. I don't enjoy feeling compelled to tip here. I serve myself. I could easily refill my own drinks as well. I always tip well, I just don't think it's necessary here. On to this specific location. Their buffet is clean and well stocked. Visually very appealing. The food is not great tasting though. Over abundance of salt use, bland, overcooked. I sampled several main course items and was consistently disappointed. Lastly; the chocolate wonderfall. We sat at a table in sight of this dessert feature. As we were discussing the sanitary nature of it, we watched an unattended child stick their finger in the chocolate, lick it clean, then back into the chocolate. Before we concluded our meal, another unattended child coated a rice crispy treat in chocolate, take a bite, marvel at the bite missing from his dessert before plunging it back in the chocolate. We didn't stay for dessert.

To military families upset about the discount. I’m military The discount is one dollar on dinner. So you are expecting more discount? Why not 4 or 5 dollar discount off your meal? Why not bring cousins and friends from the neighborhood, anyone who knows the service member should get a discount? Does it work tha way with a senior citizen discount? If you bring mom out to eat do you expect her senior discount off your meal too? No of course not, you’re not a senior. Just like our family are not serving. Be grateful there is a discount at all. The restaraunt is top notch for the type and style of dining experience they offer. Expecting more discount is just greedy.

Golden Corral has a large heated selection and you have steak, ribs, and roast beef. A steak house alone will start near the twenty dollar range. They are super military and senior friendly and give vets a free meal on Veterans Day. They also hold a camp for kids. If people want to complain about cleanliness they can go to an elegant restaurant... If they want a steak aged for 90 days or Kobe steak they can go to a premium steakhouse, but for the cost of two Big Mac meals I think you will be happy with good food.

In response to the owner's question: I love Golden Corral! Just that coming in, you feel hurried and rushed. They have never asked if I was military. The offerings are the usual best and the wait staff are very attentive. To get a 5 from me, just ask the cashiers to take a couple of seconds to welcome us to G C and ask/offer military disc where appropriate. They never seem to ask if we want change back for the waitstaff. I know its a small thing and rightly GC is one of best buffet concepts here, but compared to when I visited Anchorage in 2010 and now, seems less customer driven and more robotic. Either way, while Im visiting here again, i will keep coming to my beloved GC and we will see if service gets better. The food is awesome! Thank you for taking time to ask me. Means alot😊

Standard Golden Corral - tons of food at a reasonable price (very hard to match in Alaska), but nothing special to mark it as better or worse than the several other Golden Corrals we've visited. Worth 4 stars for overall value if you enjoy the food (for example, it's actually my wife's favorite place to get rare steak at a low price).

To bissy enjoying the good food to get any pictures. They had pecan pie today among the deserts. My fried chicken tasted a little like broccoli, but that could just be because I had my piece of broccoli n cheese to close to my fried chicken. There was precabobbed strawberries, marshmellows, n rice Krispy squares so the food would be less likely to lost in the chocolate fountain. The service was great it was nice seeing a server that has been there pretty much since they opened there he is real nice.
