Reviews of Crow's Nest
The view is amazing but the rest of the experience is not really worth the price point. The staff is friendly and everyone is dressed for the fancy experience. The food was overall mediocre. Trying too hard to be fancy but honestly simpler would have been better.
From the welcome received to the good wishes when leaving, it has been a perfect dining experience to always remember Alaska! Old Fashioned Maple cocktails, fried olives and foie gras mousse, salmon and halibut elegantly flavored with their sides, best banana split with port wine, all enjoyed with the best view of Anchorage! Thank you all!
Spendy but honestly worth it. The experience was great. Service was beyond exceptional and the food was fantastic. I was surprised at the size of the steak, I'm a big guy and I had leftovers.
As far as fine dining goes I'd say this is definitely top notch. The service alone is worth coming here for. The staff is so friendly and they definitely make sure you are taken care of. The food was very fresh and prepared perfectly. I did have some small nitpicks but they are more of a personal choice. I would recommend this place for a very nice evening out.
Good food and service. Cocktails were top notch. The flavors of the pork chop dish worked well and were pretty standard. Would have loved to see more risk taken in flavor/texture of the dish. Pretty satisfying experience overall though it is a bit pricey for the overall quality of the food
Beautiful view, ask to be seated on the mountain city view, mountains please. Salads literally filled a table spoon, literally!! Rib eye was JUST your everyday rib eye nothing special, not for $60. If you don’t like to crack your own, king crab then this is your place, they crack it for you. Stay at home, cook your own, it’ll be better. Smoked old fashioned was a treat and so was the view.
Beautiful view and was sat in a wonderful spot. Our waitress was very polite and informative. I’ve traveled many many places and have had many different foods and unfortunately I would say it was a typical steak and the salmon was very much so on the dry side, I’ve had salmon from much cheaper places that was also much, much better. A berry balsamic vinegrette in compliments to the salmon would not have been my first choice. Seems as average or under average food but it does have a nice view and good service.
We went here on a visit to anchorage last Saturday and it was wonderful! Our waitress was so kind and very attentive. The food was great and the view was even better. We did a joint anniversary/birthday celebration and they even surprised us with wonderful chocolates! Wonderful place!
Delicious good and wine, and gorgeous views! The view of the city from this restaurant is spectacular! All the food we had was so good, and they had a huge wine list! The staff was awesome!
