Overall, a very good experience! The bread is made in the house and very tasty but I’d like to see it served warm. The beet salad was OK, but to me it could use a little pop, like balsamic vinegar or blue cheese; it was too bland to enjoy. But the shrimp and grits and pasta were excellent and the sautéed and oven-baked mushrooms were possibly the best I’ve ever had in my life; seasoned to perfection! I’d definitely go back for more!

This place has phenomenal food. Definitely the best I have had in Albuquerque. The dining experience was amazing from the service to the flavors on the plate. The French onion soup was the best I’ve ever had. The mushroom ragout was impressive. My dining partner ordered the steak and it was cooked perfectly. We also had great cocktails and wine. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Ambiance and service were fantastic. They have a delicious wine selection and the wild mushroom ragout was heaven. I'll be back for sure. 05.10.22 - I came back and the whole experience was fantastic all over again. Service was impeccable and food was delightful. Love this place.

We had dinner at The Artichoke cafe in Albuquerque en route from skiing at Taos back home to New Jersey. What a wonderful delight! Service is so warm, personable and efficient. Our waiter described the dishes perfectly, recommended choices, and added the delightfully fun touch to the overall experience! Thank you, Sam! Food is scrumptious. Every dish is a perfect symphony of flavors. Cream of mushroom soup is a delicate blend of earthy mushroom tastes in a smooth base. Duck breast bypassed my favorite one at a Hudson valley restaurant near CIA (Culinary institute of America) - the spice rub on the skin adds a flavorful burst. And the lamb ragout is perfect - exploding with flavors and textures, with a bit of heat and a cool touch of whipped ricotta. And the orange-cardamom creme brûlée is a perfect finish to any meal!

My wife and I were visitors to Albuquerque and had our fingers crossed on this upscale dining place. But the whole experience from reservations to dessert was exceptional. Flavors were unlike anything we had before. 5/5 for quality, taste, service and outstanding unique flavors! If you’re looking for an upscale dinner experience in ABQ, look no further!

We've visited Artichoke Cafe for date night twice now. Once for our anniversary and once for a late Valentine's Day celebration. Both visits were exceptional. The food is phenomenal and the service is extraordinary. We made a reservation for both visits, and upon arriving asked to be seated in the back room. It's quiet, with only 4 tables. I can't recommend Artichoke Cafe more highly. We'll keep returning!

Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. I found Artichoke Cafe by a Google recommendation based off restaurants I goto and what was open. WOW. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and it felt like I was a regular, not a first time visitor from out of town. The food, beyond my expectations. The bread appetizer was amazing. Fresh, soft and the sea salt in the butter. Genius! I had the 6oz beef tenderloin and the winter squash. I don't know which one I liked more. Both were flavorful, and we'll beyond expectations. Not to forget the skills of the bar staff. I had an old fashioned and equally one of the best I've ever had. Kudos to the kitchen, front of house and bar staff. If you're in Albuquerque, this should be a stop for dinner.

We got there on time, table was ready. The host was helpful and friendly. Our server Amanda, was amazing, next time we come back we’d love to have her take care of us. The food was extraordinary. It was our anniversary and we loved it there so much. Our first time going and definitely not gonna be the last. Their menu is amazing.

I was visiting Albuquerque for a conference with my colleagues and booked a table at the Artichoke cafe for dinner. They were very accommodating when I asked to increase the table size from 3 to 4 at the last moment. The service here was impeccable. Usually I don't notice service at a restaurant, but when I get great service then I start to take notes. One woman was always on hand to top up our water and take our plates away. Our server (named Symone I believe) was great at suggesting drinks and food. She was very personable and clearly had a great sense of humor. She ahelped push our group over the edge into getting dessert which we don't regret. The food and ambience were amazing. Appetizers were good for sharing and my steak was cooked perfectly. Our group decided this was the highlight of our trip to Albuquerque. Thank you for a great time! (As a side note, we decided to walk to the restaurant from our downtown hotel and the walk seemed a little sketchy for us, including walking through a dark pedestrian tunnel. We took an Uber back. Could have just been our one time experience but I don't think it would be a comfortable walk alone, especially at night.)

Probably one of the best meals I’ve had in Albuquerque. We ordered a bunch of different stuff and everyone was amazing. The pictures don’t do it justice. If you haven’t been you need to make this a stop. Amanda was great too! Definitely going back!

My Husband and I went to The Artichoke Cafe for our anniversary. This was such a lovely experience. Everyone from the Host and on were so kind. They each one wished us Happy Anniversary. Now that to some is nothing. However its personal connection. It's smart business and it makes the customer feel like they matter. The service was the best and the food and drinks were out of this world. For my Husband and I, this would only be able to be a rare occasion, as it was a bit pricey. However, 100% worth every bit!! Than you for making our evening so special to everyone at The Artichoke Cafe! Great place!!

This cozy cafe has left the best impressions! Hospitable and attentive staff, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, wide wine list and wonderful dessert. I got the chocolate tart. For our entrées we got the beef tenderloin and the pan seared scallops. I recommend to everyone!

As frequent patrons of Artichoke Cafe, my wife and I cannot speak highly enough of the impeccable service, delicious food, and perfect cocktails. From the moment we walk in the door, we are greeted with warmth and hospitality by the knowledgeable and attentive staff. We have tried almost everything on the menu, and every dish has been expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The cocktails are some of the best we've had in the city, with unique and creative combinations that always leave us wanting more. Whether we're celebrating a special occasion or just enjoying a night out, Artichoke Cafe is always at the top of our list.

Becoming a regular here lately! I love the bar area, so cozy. A little pricey, but the food is AMAZING! This is a grown up restaurant like I might find in San Francisco, almost too good for Albuquerque, but apparently not because it's always packed, and even post COVID it's actually still alive past 10 (at least on Fri/Sat), which is now super rare!

Brought my wife for a long due date night. We were not disappointed with The Artichoke Cafe. Staff were efficient and friendly. They looked happy and that feeling trickled down to making the whole restaurant feel happy. The food was delicious and had a great presentation. We hope to return soon.

We had a party of six and had a completely enjoyable experience. The dishes were tasteful, the ambiance inviting and not too noisy. Some very creative cocktails and delicious appetizer and dinner options. The staff client experience was above par and the whole team was friendly. This will go on my favorites list for Albuquerque and a must do again on my next visit to town.

Great food and service. It’s a little dated and has been for 20 years. Nothing particularly wrong with that and honestly it’s nice to have an older style upscale bistro option. The cocktails are on point and the menu is relatively seasonal.

Wonderful and charming. We went here for the first time for my mother’s birthday. Food was amazing, the cocktails were the best I have had in town, and they made my mom feel very special without the cheesy birthday singing. Celebrated an anniversary, ordered the mushroom ragoût & butternut squash ravioli. One meal was worth it while the other was not. The ragoût was an actual plate of food despite the two dishes being the same price. The ravioli came with EIGHT ravioli which were minuscule in size. The plates in my opinion, were worth closer to $15-16 rather than almost $30 each. As it was an anniversary we were given a complementary dessert which was nice. Food was tasty but if value for your money is a concern this not the place for you.

The food and atmosphere was amazing, definitely a 5 star experience. They get 3 stars because they still have an employee safety surcharge, that was ridiculous during covid but when no one is wearing masks or distancing at the place then it's just shameless to still be charging that.

My friends and I went to Artichoke Cafe for dinner. We did not make the reservation because we were a small group of 3 people. We were seated right away at the bar section of the restaurant, which I didn't see it before. It was perfect little booth (hint for those who want to take your date to). For some reasons, this section felt warm so we took off our jackets. We started with, A-hem, steamed artichoke :) it came with three different dipping sauces: tomato-based sauce, garlic-cream, and melted butter. The creamy garlic sauce was the winner for me. The melted butter was surprisingly good as well. It had caught me off guard because I was not really a big fan of dipping anything in butter I ordered the lamb chops with mashed sweet potatoes. It was very delicious! Perfectly cooked to my preferred temperature! The meat was tender and the sweet potato was tasty! They were made in heaven for sure. This is a little gem that I am sure I will visit again with my future date :)

Pork Chop easily best thing on the table. It was served over large white beans and slaw on top. Steak Frittes with the salsa Verde was also amazing. Fries were seasoned and served with a lemon aoile. Bread was awesome served with lemon butter. Our server was a young man, very attentive. It was perfect dinner for tired hungry travelers.

Excellent service, atmosphere and food! I consider this a gourmet restaurant. They are a small independent restaurant and I suggest supporting them. Right now with so many places having staff shortages we need to be patient and understanding.

Probably one of the best places we’ve gone for a casual meal. This is the perfect restaurant for either a casual dining experience or a fancy night out. I would diffidently love to come here again! My fiance and I came here for happy hour, we payed $20 for four dishes: a chicken salad, Brussels sprouts, and two plates of ribs. And while everything tasted amazing, I am shocked to say that the Brussels sprouts were my favorite part of the meal.

Simone was a gosh darn delight. From start to finish she took amazing care of us. We had THREE managers/owners stop by to say hi to us and make sure everything was perfect. They also took the time to give us solid recommendations on where to have the most fun in ABQ. The food was delicious as well as the drinks! Artichoke Cafe was recommended from a local coworker who knew I have high standards when it came to food and it’s quality. I was visiting for a few day and decided to give it a try my last night. I was able to catch happy hour and ordered the fried Brussels sprouts....fabulous! I continued my experience/ main course with the Scottish Salmon, once again, fabulous! Both of these dishes had great flavor and were cooked just right. I tried two of the specialty drinks (I apologize I don’t recall the names) that were fabulous as well. I sat in the bar as my original plan was to put in a to-go order. I’m glad I decided to stay. Daniel along with his partner (female) were awesome. Together those two made a great team and were both very attentive. This place definitely deserves five stars.

The ambience and customer service were outstanding. Ordered the market special, shrimp with noodles, and the surf and turf tartar as a starter. Both of which had notes of originality and depth of flavor. My dinner guests ordered the steamed artichoke, unfortunately it was not in its prime and was very fibrous, lacked in flavor, and the raspberry dip does not pair well. Definitely will be back to explore other menu.

Such a great find in Albuquerque. Excellent service and wonderful food. I love that they split the plates in the kitchen that I shared with my friend and didn't charge extra for that service. I highly recommend the fried polenta appetizer, the beet salad (crunchy beets, delicious!) And the lamb with artichoke-parsnip puree. The bread is maybe the only average food we had. The restaurant is also very cute and not noisy. Which isxa rare find these days.

An interesting experience, we came for a private event and we're impressed with the food. The four course meal started with fresh baked bread and whipped butter then onto a carrot and red bell pepper soup or garden salad with balsamic vinaigrette, bistro steak Shepard's pie, chicken crepe or eggplant sandwich with fries for entrees and vanilla custard or chocolate torte for the finale.

My girlfriend and I went to the artichoke cafe for a date night and had a good time. They have some interesting specialty cocktails that should cater to all tastes, and an ok beer selection. We ordered the meatballs for an appetizer and they were alright, not great. Was bummed that a restaurant this nice could also seem to run out of bread? How does that happen? And why isn’t in complimentary for a place that costs $100+ for two people? The main courses were up to par, I ordered the lamb ragout and she had a pasta dish. Would probably come back but hopefully they get the logistics of food supply worked out.

Awesome food, and very good service. Best to make reservations, and get there a bit early to find a parking spot (on street parking only). It's not cheap - steak dinner plate was around $38, but worth it if you're looking for quality food. May feel slightly pretentious, but I still highly recommend it.

I cannot express in words how much I enjoyed this dining experience. From the moment I walked in and was warmly greeted, to the self introduction of the waiter (Gustavo), who was perhaps one of the most gracious, while warmly professional, waitperson I have ever had the pleasure of encountering. As if this wasn't enough, the food and recommended wine was ABSOLUTELY SUPERB!!! The decor and ambiance were icing on the cake. BTW, you cannot go wrong ordering the sundae for dessert. If you are searching for a dining experience in Albuquerque, please place this establishment near, if not at, the top of your list.

Artichoke Cafe is one of the best restaurants in the entire city. The menu is made up of a few staples, and a constantly changing seasonal menu. While there aren't many dishes, they're all fantastic. Myself, and everyone I've dined with here have always been very happy with everything we've received. There are options for vegetarians and vegans as well. The drinks menu is robust, offering plenty of cocktails, glasses of wine, and beer. The bottled wine selection is immense. Service is good. The waitstaff are friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. They do a fantastic job of bringing dish specific silverware, and taking away dishes or silverware that you aren't using. The details are important when you're spending a lot on food, and they nail them here. The restaurant itself is clean and pleasant. A large mirror, and a partially open kitchen give the restaurant an open feeling, while the dark colors, and dim lighting keep your table feeling intimate.

We enjoyed our dinner out here. Nice place they we have been meaning to go for a while. It was a special occasions, so we wanted somewhere a bit more upscale. The waitress was kind and helpful. My biggest complaint is the amount of food for the high prices. It was very good, we got the ravioli and the steak frietes. But the steak was small with a larger portion of fries for quite a lot. The ravioli was very good, but again, I don't believe that the price was justified and I don't think we will be going back.

This was a nice place with surprisingly good ambiance. Arrived around 7pm on a Monday and was promptly seated. All staff interactions were very pleasant. Even staff not directly involved in our service made sure to interact in a way to make us feel welcomed. The meal was average and did not match the great ambiance and service. Although cooked as ordered (medium well) the steak was cold. When I mentioned this to the waiter, he immediately offered to have it redone. I declined so he offered dessert on the house. We accepted and the creme brûlée was excellent. Restaurant was not full and the actual speed of service was a little slow( probably why my steak was cold). My 20 year old daughter who is a foodie was not impressed with her fish which was not well seasoned. I would go back and try something else sometime.

We live down the street from this restaurant and keep coming back for date nights and special occasions. What we love about this place is the quality and consistency of the food. The staff are professional and courteous each and every time, they have a working knowledge of the menu and, if asked, recommend the perfect wine pairing. Overall, this is the perfect place to have a quite, quality dinner, the place to bring a business partner, and to bring out of town guests for a special treat.

Used to be my favorite celebratory restaurant. The menue is now very limited, hardly any seafood selection. The food was mediocre. Quite disappointing, even though manager did come talk with us and took off what we were charged for stale bread. ( they no longer have yummy complimentary bread badket).

The service we received at Artichoke Cafe was fantastic. Shane Riley offered excellent service as a manager. The waiter really had an eye for detail and paid attention to our non verbal cues. My husband and I ordered an after dinner drink and a dessert to share and he brought us the drink in two glasses. He was very personable and has excellent customer service skills. The food was absolutely delicious. The scallops melted in your mouth. The vegan pasta was equally as scrumptious. The atmosphere was nice and inviting. Overall, an excellent dining experience. Definitely will return for the service and the food.

We had a party of six for dine in. Host and bartender were on point. Food & drinks delicious. The lavender margarita was a delicious & so was the Mezcal. We the the linguini with class, a chicken breast to die for, artichoke that melted in your mouth. Strawberry tirimusu (forgive the spelling😬) that was amazing. Lamb was amazing. Stellar food and great service. Cocktails are on point. Wife who is a CA native loved the steamed artichoke with a drizzle of olive oil. I enjoyed the French onion soup which may be the best I’ve had. We also enjoyed the lamb ragout and duck breast. Very well executed. Onlky complaint was the slightly awkward placement of our table in an aisle between the hosts desk and the main dining room. Forgiveable given the extra care and attention we got from the host to make sure the tables placement didn’t leave us overlooked.

Kyle is the Italian with a mustache who was so great. The food and vibe were excellent, but Kyle really elevated the whole experience. We had 5 appetizers and 3 entrees and they were all delicious. The enchiladas were a little spicy for one person in our group, but the rest of us loved them. Our favorite dishes were the saffron arancini, duck rillette, mushroom ragout, and beet salad. The only thing that tarnished my experience was a drunk lady at the bar who seemed to be friends with the staff and was laughing very loudly the whole evening. It was annoying and inappropriate and I just wish the staff were more aware of it and asked her to keep it down.

My all-time favorite Happy Hour place in Albuquerque, their bar menu and food are good and reasonably priced. Great bartenders, who recognize the patrons and are very friendly. Also, an excellent fine dining experience. The restaurant closed down completely for a while, during the pandemic, and I missed it.

The food has changed drastically pre covid. Do: order the French onion soup and bread with butter as an appetizer. Don't: expect Café prices, this is a fancier place than you think. Do: Understand that because it is higher dining, there Will only be between 5~7 Entrees. Don't: forget to tip, it is in the poorest of taste to do so and a minimum tip here starts at 20% Do: dress comfortably (but not *that* comfortably*), it's the 22nd Century, silicone valley has made jeans and t-shirts an okay thing. Don't: forget to reserve your table if you're going during peak hours especially on a Friday or Saturday. The maitré d sat us with one guest against the glass to the outside for dinner and we were merely the second table in from the door so most of my company froze during the night. The waitress and the busser were the saving grace, ALWAYS making sure out drinks were full, our used plates were gone. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the reduction was not a reduction but a red wine rue. Still palatable but nothing incredible. The artichoke ravioli was quite good though. All in all, I may stretch my wings a little more and try other and newer places. Keep in mind, I'm allergic to wine and I simply don't consume alcohols unless that was the point of the evening. So no one touched their MASSIVE wine and spirits list.

Based off of the reviews I had previously read, I didn't have high expectations coming to this restaurant, but I was pleasantly surprised. We tried the tenderloin & artichoke ravioli, absolutely delicious. I had to add a little bit of salt to the pasta, but everything came out nice and hot, the steak was cooked exactly how we wanted. The sauce of pasta was really good. The ravioli was actually some of the best I've ever had. The restuarant is nice and clean. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We also got the peach and raspberry galette, the ice cream was very yummy. The pastry was average. Overall it was a pleasant experience. 4 stars because I left hungry due to the small portions.

The restaurant has changed hands recently and the new energy, vitality, and creativity was very evident. Yes, there were a few food items that could use some improvement (and others that were brilliant) but that is part of the process. I expect that in a few weeks and a few very minor changes this will not only be one of the top two or three restaurants in the city but will also be a showcase of culinary creativity and excitement. The formerly reliable, though a little stale, Artichoke is gone and a new more vibrant and fun iteration has taken it's place. Give it a try before it becomes so popular you will have to book weeks out.

Mother's Day meal. We were seated promptly and had the best waitress in the world, Amanda! We started with the bread mix and steamed artichokes - yum x 2! My wife had the artichoke ravioli and I had the beef tenderloin as entrees- yum x 10k! Lemon cheesecake with raspberry sherbet and a wholesome chocolate tart for dessert - yum x 100k! This is a boutique cafe. The menu is straight forward, offering a simple but delightful array of meats, seafood and vegan entres. Parking can be difficult as assigned lot fills quickly. On-street parking nearby is possible. Great desserts too. Nice wine and beverage list. Glad it's back open.

Service was greatly lacking. My dish, the beef tenderloin, was very good. However, my husbands pork tenderloin was under cooked. Service; marginal AT BEST. Long periods of waiting. Dirty dishes left for long periods of time. Our servers table side manner was short and hurried. 180.00 tab for two people. Overall, having eaten at restaurants in town with similar price points, there are definitely better experiences to be had.

It's a nice restaurant with great food. The prices are higher than a lot of restaurants in Albuquerque, but the quality is better and worth it. If you are a wine enthusiast, they offer a great selection. Their happy hour menu was nice. I wasn't planning on stopping in, so I expected a full menu. That's on me for not calling or visiting the website. I had only been there for dinner prior. Overall, great experience, attentive staff, and amazing fries :)

Awesome! Amazing! One of the all around best restaurant experiences I've ever had and I have very high standards. Kudos to the chef, our server Bradley, and the staff. The food was impeccable. Not over salted. So very flavorful. My husband loved the spicy chicken diablo. I ordered the ravioli because, frankly, I wasn't in the mood for other items on the menu. OMG! The preparation was stunning. Little cloud like packets of tender pasta with a sauce that I wanted to lick the bowl clean for. I might as well been in Italy. My son very much enjoyed the branzino whose broth he would have tilted the platter to drink had he not been in a restaurant. The roasted baby carrots with fresh ricotta and honey were good to the last drop. The chocolate tart and the creme brulee were delicious. I even ordered a half bottle of wine because of their notable offerings of half bottles and I typically never order anything more than glasses. The restaurant decor is lovely too with an eclectic array of art livening up the walls. Can't wait to return!

We love the Artichoke Cafe. It is consistently good. Whenever there is an occasion to celebrate, this is where we go. We always get the artichoke starter and someone always gets the steak frites. This is the only place I will eat scallops. Yum! Last time I ordered the ravioli and they were so amazing that I feel it is not overstating it to say it was a real foodie's dream.

Great food great atmosphere. This is fine dining and so the options are limited but plenty to choose from. Expect dinner to be an experience more than a stop. Typical dining time will last over an hour even for a party of 2. They do take reservations ahead of time and even for large groups. I've had a reservation for close to 20 and they provided a private room for the event. They do a really nice job here.

Very lovely fine dining experience (not too many of those in ABQ). We sat in the lounge which was quiet. I noticed the restaurant side was hustling. Our server was friendly and made good recommendations. Drinks were well mixed and presented. The beef tenderloin was excellent and cooked perfect. This was a birthday meal for my daughter and she chose the place. The service was outstanding without being cloying. I didnt hear any complaints about the food from my three guests. My caesar salad, which I could not get with chicken, was unassuming and bordered on tasteless. They had dessert, I had tea. All told, without the two bottles of wine that my other daughter paid for, the bill was just under $200.00.

The Artichoke Cafe is one of those rare places for which you can take a guest or make a recommendation and be sure that the recipient will be pleased. It has a simple 1-page menu that varies a bit, but there is always something yummy for everyone. They have several appetizers (including an artichoke, of course), several salads, a couple of soups, a vegetarian dish (often a type of ravioli), sea food, chops, steaks and more. The service is always competent and pleasant. Good wine list. It's moderately upscale, but not outrageously priced: typically $20 to $35 for an entree. It's a real favorite of ours.

Made an online reservation for a Friday at 7:00 pm. We were seated in the bar area with a window seat. It was dinner theatre with a street flower seller on the corner that we watched. Started with a mussels appetizer special, mussels in a broth with basil. A surprise dish, the broth was quite the elixir. Also had the citrus warm olives. A good variety of flavors and textures. Husband had the halibut and I ordered the signature Artichoke ravioli. Both dishes were presented as advertised and the flavors were very nice (tipping the ravioli dish to spoon up all the sauce is a must). The Manhattan and Aperol drinks we ordered were enjoyable. Dessert was an ice cream sundae and peach raspberries galette. Beautiful meal. Kyle our server was kind and helpful.

We don't head here often (first time in about 10 years for me) because it's a serious fine-dining place with the price-tag to match (a little over $200 for three adults). The experience is worth it, mind you. Between myself, R, and our dining companion, we tried the steak tartare, the appetizer of the day, the lamb rib, the pork chop, the steak tenderloin, and a couple desserts. The steak tartare is tiny, proportioned, no doubt, perfect to match the quail egg that tops the dish. The special appetizer for our visit was much more generous. We had never even imagined the flavor combination of smoked artichoke, crab cake, and duck chicharones... Turns out, that combination is quite amazing. The pork chop and lamb rib were extremely generous portions, while the beef tenderloin is more in line with the controlled portion size I expect from fine dining. Every piece of meat was expertly seasoned to bring out and compliment it's natural flavors, and cooked to perfection. The sides were excellent compliments to the main protein, and all 3 of us were quite pleased. Due to the controlled portion on the steak, we had room for dessert. I can't recall the name of the fruity dessert concoction we ordered, because it was greatly overshadowed by the panna cotta, which was one of the most purely perfect dessert experiences ever.

Artichoke Café: Lovely fine dining on Central, great for special occasions. They have an extensive wine menu and there are some signature cocktails I need to go back to try. Wonderful service! The vegetarian options are available, but I only saw 2 entrées but quite a few appetizers to choose from. No vegan options. Amazing cheese plate. Many items are sourced locally. I think this restaurant is right up there with Seasons Grill and Farm and Table. Enjoyable atmosphere, although our table was a bit wobbly!

I went there for my birthday dinner this past weekend. I had the steamed artichoke for an appetizer. The bacon aioli was DELICIOUS. The artichoke was perfectly steamed. For my entree, I had the rack of lamb. That lamb was the most amazing lamb I've ever had. The combination of parsnip puree, haricot vert and honey anise glaze was just to die for. Total umami. I was beyond impressed. Our service was decent.

If you go to one restaurant in ABQ, this is probably it. I feel like Artichoke embodies everything about this city, good and not so good. First off, many here comment on the prices here. The reason is for the pricing is sourcing. These guys source local and clean whenever possible, and the meals are played nicely and are pretty innovative as far as food here goes. You'll not likely find the green chile smothered fare others slap down, call New Mexican food, and call a day (though in all fairness, that's pretty tasty too) but more likely find some very fresh local veggies from one of the csa's in the valley, with a clean meat pairing and sauces and seasonings based in unique and local herbs. This is all to say, great stuff! Their happy hour specials are a great and more inexpensive intro to the flavors of Artichoke Cafe. Their bar features many excellent local and craft beers, and great wine selection as well. The bar is also great if you're not wanting the "fancy" experience of the restaurant; it's very chill and I even bring my kids in there, the staff is great. Again, a must-try when in ABQ.

Went here for a drug dinner event, so glad I got a chance to check out Artichoke Cafe! Metered parking is free after 6. What I really liked about this place was how charming and cute it was, you dont get that overwhelming and intimidating feel of a large, pish-posh fancy restaurant, but you still get the 5 star service and meal. This is a cozy and intimate place for a nice dinner out.

Recently held an event at this venue and was thrilled with the OUTSTANDING service. Had an issue with tech and staff provided additional adapter cord needed for setup (plus had numerous people swing by the room to help brainstorm ideas). End the end, Bradly came to the rescue! Timing was on-point (AND staff was able to effectively accommodate many changes in program flow, including larger than expected turn out), F&B was stellar, and the staff made the process, from start to finish, not only pleasant, but fun. We even ran late and our waitress Denise stayed behind (after hours!) to finish serving us, even through the check was taken care of and she could have left. ABOVE and BEYOND customer service. Shane, thank you for the quality management of last night. See you again soon!

I recently moved back from Colorado, and there is a serious lack of good food in Abq. This place has better dishes than most and they are well executed. The biggest problem is thinking you can over charge the hell out of people for fairly simple dishes. Attentive staff, very polite, and good meal. Only qualm is the over priced items.

Had been wanting to t"ry the place, finally had the chance to meet for lunch, unfortunately t was well after lunch, therefore, I did not want to try the "Shepard's Pie", but I had the "Fish and Chips". it was not much to speak of, but the coleslaw with the apples was good, the service was prompt, although, I was not impressed. with the menu. I will go back for an earlier lunch and try the "Artichokes" or the "Shepherd' s Pie", but not real soon.
