Fantastic place to eat with wholesome local vibes. Very patriotic interior design. Good service, great food. Nice budget meal to eat in a semi-social environment. We had a great time and all of the folks were very nice and professional. Has a home cooked meal feeling to it. I highly recommend the burger. They use a custom blend of beef and it provides a very flavorful burger.

Nice family owned business. Good food. Reasonable pricing. Menu online isn’t up to date so I’ve included photos of the current menu. Kids menu too. Also, if you’re at Marble Brewery (located in the same parking lot), you can call and order and they’ll deliver. We order here frequently and recommend giving this place a try. We also appreciate that they honor veterans. 🇺🇸

First timer. Counter service and budget friendly restaurant. Interior was covered in military and first responder flags and memorials. Loved the wall that featured women in the military. Ordered a NM Philly with French fries. French fries were awesome. Philly was on a soft bun and served hot. Service was okay. Not much in the glass bakery display; a few brownies in plastic wrap and a couple cinnamon rolls. Soft drink counter could use some TLC. The soda machine continually was jammed with ice - one worker made it seem like this happens all the time. Shoved a knife up the ice dispenser to break up the ice. Happened again when I went for a refill. Was an issue for every customer. Straws were served out of the box on the shelf below the soda machine. Paper towel dispensers in both bathrooms were broken. The cover was completely off of the one in the women’s and it was used as a shelf for the paper towel roll.

Interesting looking place. Order at the counter. The menu is written on white boards. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs. Asked for green chile and cheese over everything. The food came out rather quickly. The chicken fried steak was clearly hand breaded, which is awesome. However, they did not put green chile and cheese on the eggs only on the chicken fried steak. The eggs were cooked over medium. No big deal. The food was decent. The chile was slightly spicy. There is no table service. You get your own drink and your own silverware. No one checked on me to see how the food was. Not sure if that's a normal thing or not. It wasn't a bad place however it's not for me. They have great reviews and like I said the food wasn't bad. It was decent. so definitely worth trying out.

The food was great. I ordered a taco plate and the green chili stew. The portions are generous and I was full in no time! I finished up the crunchy beef tacos and could only manage a couple of spoonfuls of the tasty chili and had to pack up my leftovers. My spouse ordered chicken fried steak with gravy, scrambled eggs, biscuit, and half a stack of pancakes...oh my! He enjoyed his meal too and we both agree that we will go back 😋.

Great place to eat with a cool atmosphere honoring the military. We tried lunch here today based on Google reviews and were not disappointed. The pancakes were fantastic and everyone seemed to enjoy their food. It seemed like they only had one guy working the entire front - taking orders, bringing food and cleaning tables - they really need more help.

Upon entering, the first thing you will notice is the military pictures. Which leads me to believe the place is own by a veteran or a relative of a military member. I'd put my money on the first. I ordered the ham and bacon breakfast burrito smothered in red chile. It was alright, just your basic ingredients. Nothing to write home about. Reason, the burrito was something you could make at home. It was a good portion for $8 though. The place, it definitely reminded me of a mess hall in the military. You go in, wait in a line, and pay before you get your food. Unfortunately, there was a mess, haha. After paying, I went to go sit at a table and about half the tables had dirty dishes still left on the table. There was dried mud on the floor under one of the tables. There was food on the floor. Not a very good presentation. I figure I may have missed the busy hour as I arrived shortly after 11am. So I'll give the place another opportunity and try something off the lunch menu.

I had the veggie empanada and it was the best I ever had. My friend had their sausage and egg breakfast burrito and it was like 5 eggs but barely any sausage. My mom had the bacon and egg burrito and it was amazing. The service is friendly and great. Just some inconsistency in preparation. Would recommend! Vet owned business that honors city heroes!

OMGOODNESS! This place is great! Everyone working here is nice and friendly! The food was great! My husband ordered the egg sandwich over easy with green chili, said it was the best egg sandwich. I ordered the pancakes (not your normal small pancakes, these pancakes are the size of your plate!) with a side of burnt bacon they cooked it perfectly! We will be back! Really enjoyed their veteran photos and honor they show to them!

Loved the Tacos. Home made feeling. Service was amazing. I think we found our new date night location. Prices are fair the Salsa taste like a spicy Marinara sauce but it's delicious! Went there last night, probably going to go again tonight.

First time having my Birthday Breakfast with my family at Ironwood. Menu choices are awesome, service and friendliness is a 10! Food prep and delivery was spot on! Reminds of a friend's kitchen! Food is great, everything I've ordered has been amazing. Today ordered Door Dash and requested no tomatoes in the special instructions, hoping this time the request would be recognized, special instructions are usually ignored through OTHER restaurants when using Door Dash. Not only was my request read, but the employees (MATT, and DEYRA), sent me a note in the bag and separated any items that may interfere in a food allergy. THANK YOU FOR BEING CONSIDERATE, and going above and beyond.

Our group of 6 enjoyed several menu items. The Turkey Quesadilla and 6th Guy burger were especially delicious and filling. My son gave top marks to the cinnamon roll he had for dessert. Ordering at the counter and then sitting down was convenient for our group that was paying separately. The ambiance is no-frills and basic but clean and the service was mostly friendly and efficient. The napkins could definitely use an upgrade. I appreciate that they make an effort to honor veterans. However, the restaurant's political opinions are obviously displayed. Of course that is their freedom and choice, but when I'm going out to eat with family or friends I don't really care to have that in my face when I'm ordering my meal. If that sort of thing doesn't bother you, I would recommend this place for homey comfort food and a small-town restaurant ambiance. However, if you would like to leave politics at home when dining out, you might want to skip this place in favor of an establishment that keeps their politics to themselves.

Cashier/waitress was cordial but not friendly. Food was good. Tasted like home cooking. I would give it a one for cleanliness. The napkin holders were very dirty. The front windows and doors were very dirty! Two salt shakers. I attempted to use were empty and sticky. I enjoy sitting and looking out the window while I eat, but that was not an appetizing view , since the glass was so dirty. 🙄

Today marks the second time I've been into Ironwood and I have to tell ya, the food here absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, and the staff are very friendly. I can't believe I've lived in the area for 6 years and have never came in. I've cheated myself out of many delicious meals. No more! I plan to be a regular customer. It's that good!

On a total whim, we decided to get dinner last night at Ironwood kitchen. We have eaten there before, so we knew the food would be good. We ordered The Press veggie burrito and the pulled pork sandwich. The amount of food you get is very generous and the price is just as nice as the staff is there! The veggie burrito was served with spuds and delicious spuds that kicked the taste buds in high gear!! My pulled pork sandwich was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! Best one I have had in a long time!! Served on a fresh and fluffy GRILLED bun that had that wonderful mix of fresh, soft AND crunchy!! I chose the pasta salad as my side and MAN was it delicious!!!! Kudos to the chef and the whole team at Ironwood Kitchen!!! We are sold on your...EVERYTHING!!!!

Great food, and great prices. The portion sizes are pretty good. You order at the counter and then they bring the food to your table. Red Chile sauce is great. Not really kids friendly though as they don't have a changing table, had to go out to the car in the middle of breakfast. That's the only reason I didn't give 5 stars.

I swear there is no 5 out of 5 stars when it comes to this place!!!!!!! This place sets the bar and goes over it by far!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's a 100 stars out of 5 stars for me! Don't get me started on the queso! Their Queso is one and a billion, the money maker, makes you just dance yes I said dance!!!!!!!! I have never ever ever walked into this place or DoorDashed and had 1 single bad thing to say! This place stole my heart from first plate!!!!!

I tried their dish of they day which was bangers and mash. Must I say, that dish was a banger. Pan seared sausage on top of some delish mashed potatoes with a homemade gravy on top. It was affordable and filled me up to the brim! Waiters/waitresses we're very nice. The food is affordable for the amount given and very tasty.

Food was very good. Service was OK. The real disappointment was my mother is in a wheelchair and trying to get through heavy front doors while pulling a wheelchair was extremely difficult. Would be nice if it was a bit more handicap accessible.

The food was okay. The service was okay. There were a few things about the experience that could have made it good, or even great; Consistency. Thoughtful service. Ambiance. What happened was - I ordered the BLT with their signature 'spuds'. The spuds were mostly what I hoped for and were hot. My BLT was not, it was actually cold. I thought the avocado was a great touch, though! We both had missed the self serve dinnerware (first time visit) and asked the gal if we could have some when she was walking away after bringing our food and she said "they're here" and kept walking. Being that we were literally the only customers, if it was me I would have said no problem and just brought a couple sets over. It took us a minute to realize what she said and that we needed to get them ourselves. 1 Star for radio blaring. And it was just a local channel with commercials. So many commercials! With the numerous streaming services available it's disappointing when a restaurant subjects customers to a loud radio station. The decor is very nice and well thought out but the overall experience felt confusing and not especially welcoming.

OUTSTANDING. Texas southern style comfort food, burgers, breakfast all day, enchiladas and tacos, rubens! Food was so good and all fresh I went to find the cook and gave him $10! Chicken fried steak!! Sausage gravy! Fresh non mealy skillet potatoes! Thank you Jesus I finally found great food in Albuquerque!!! Pics are of the turkey salad and hamburger. I saw the cook cutting up the potatoes to make the fries! No frozen bags of fries here. First time I came in I ordered the chicken fried steak and it was OUTSTANDING.

Love this place. One of the few that I had trouble picking from the menu. Nice selection across many cultures. Love the feel and the décor. Reasonable priced food filled me up. Plenty of parking in the shared lot (strip mall) sufficiently staffed pleasant and happy. One of the few times I have heard laughter among the employees. The only complaint I mention on first trip is the bathrooms. Clean and maintained but gender based so one for each. In a restaurant that quite easily seats 50+ and employees there were several of us needing to go at the same time. Having said that I still want to go back and try other things from the menu.

First time trying this place out. Even though they have military/first responder memorabilia all over the place they do not offer any discounts. That being said - the food is not really that expensive. Mom ordered the breakfast burrito and it was massive for $7. The French toast at $6 wasn't impressive however. It had an industrial feel and just felt like a mom and pop truck stop diner more than a sophisticated cafe.

We are creatures of habit and tend to order from the same restaurants every week. We decided to try something new and were very impressed. The food was fresh, tasty, and arrived quickly. Great food!! Not to many customers dining in, although they did have a lot of take out orders Including Door Dash. Maybe that's why it took soooo long to get our food. I recommend the chicken fried steak with Extra Gravy. The overall cleanliness of the establishment wasn't good @ all. Majority of the tables were not cleaned.😕

The hamburger was great and big!! Lots of toppings to choose from. The homemade fries were tasty although I prefer a bit crisper. Also more than plenty. It has military decor and a conservative feel if that matters to one. U place your order and then they bring u your meal. Staff courteous and efficient. I'm pretty liberal and I'd go again.

I’ve always really enjoyed the food and the customer service. The food isn’t too salty and it’s very tasty. I’ve never had a bad experience and will continue to go there for breakfast (my favorite meal is the day). My only complaint is that their online menu doesn’t match the menu they have on site. From what I understand, they aren’t able to change it for some reason. So, if you want the true menu, make sure to look in the google pictures or call the restaurant to verify what the dish comes with.

Although Ironwood isn't a high end dining restaurant with white linen napkins and crystal stemware, that doesn't mean it doesn't deserve high marks. I say this because the folks who work there are friendly and make you want to come back. You get the sense they care about you and what you think. The food is what you might expect in a locally owned restaurant but it's definitely equal to or better than most in terms of quality. The quality has always been consistent and the portions are fair to generous. They have proven to be accommodating in their willingness to modify the orders. I can't say enough good about this place. You definitely get your money's worth and it's the kind of place you'll want to return to over and over.

Counter staff was friendly, courteous and patient (as we were unfamiliar with the menu) and pointed out the weekly special as well as helped us save money on dinner by converting one meal to the special price. Only even remotely negative comment was that the fries were too salty for our taste, and even then they were still delicious. Fast service. Clean tables. Looking forward to going back soon. Had breakfast foods for dinner. Wife had the half stack of (2) big pancakes. They was fluffy and warm, with maple syrup on the side. Very tasty! The eggs plate over easy came with potato spuds (home style basically). The sausage patties were a bit overdone, and not sure if it was pork sausage or not. The white toast was room temp even though the food came out fast. Served with jam and fake butter spread. The large glass of milk was cold like it should be. I ate all the egg plate even so. No menus available and had a hard time trying to read the dry erase board behind the counter, but managed. Bathrooms were clean. Nice folks, help yourself type of atmosphere. I'll go back and see what else is there. Try it out for yourself!

It was okay. We ordered the Hot pastrami sandwich and Smoked turkey quesadilla. The pastrami sandwich didn't have any cheese, the bread was broken, and it was shredded lettuce. The turkey quesadilla was big but it had mushrooms in it which gave it a weird taste and smell. These didn't come as a meal but we did try their kettle chips. I wouldn't order again.

Love Ironwood Kitchen! The atmosphere is a little odd but the food is incredible! My favorite is their “Sixth Guy Burger” which comes with a ton of fries. My favorite part about Ironwood is that they deliver (free of charge) to the brewery across the street! Excellent food and fast service at a reasonable price

If your looking for a huge menu with expensive prices attached DON'T come here, you won't find what your looking for. BUT if your looking for reasonably priced good eats this place is worth a try.

Visiting ABQ and we stopped in for breakfast. We started with the cinnamon roll and then both had omelettes. The food did not disappoint and we were so impressed with the prices. We got a cinnamon roll, 2 omelettes and 2 coffees for $22. Really casual and comfortable, we might just come back on this place. Thank you for supporting veterans!

I ordered the egg plate with scrambled eggs, bacon, and wheat toast. My wife had a hand-held burrito, made to order without seasoning. Both were absolutely delicious. My wife said it was the best burrito she's ever had. The owner cooked both of our entrees himself. I really appreciate the memorabilia on the walls honoring veterans, law enforcement, firefighters, and other first responders. The restaurant has a warm, patriotic vibe.

OMG the cinnamon rolls are heaven on earth. We discovered Ironwood last week and the food was great. Great portions, fair prices. Yesterday we went back for my birthday dinner but they were out of cinnamon rolls. Hubby went this morning and picked up four for a late birthday. If you have tried Ironwoods, put it on your calendar. I had the cheese enchiladas with spuds (little square cut potatoes) and hubby had the sausage breakfast burrito smothered, with fries.

I eat here all the time, and I just have to say this place SLAPS. Never had bad food and have tried at least half the menu. I don't think there is better food on this side of town for the price. Try the bangers and mash or literally anything. Its all good. Seriously.

First time here but definitely not the last! Nice family owned business with great food and very friendly and helpful staff. I had the 6th Guy burger and it's great (reminded me of the burgers you used to get at the old drug stores, which is a great thing for everyone old enough to remember what I'm talking about!). My wife had the egg sandwich and said it was the best she'd had in years. We both had the fries as well and they are a solid choice. No pictures this time as we both dove right in but I'll get some next time. To sum, great people and great food. Go.

I love ironwood kitchen primarily because it caters to vets and hosts a morning breakfast for veterans. Secondly the food was good and it's good price they do need to work on their Mexican menu as it was lacking but I was very happy with the sandwich I got which was the pastrami I recommend anything on their menu because I had a large group and we all had something different with the exception of the Mexican food.

This is the second time that I have visited Ironwood. Although there wasn't anybody else in there I don't know why? This place is so clean and has wonderful memorabilia from our War veterans and such everybody needs to visit this place at least once. Loved the decor, it's like eating in a museum for service heros from all eras. This was super special being a daughter of a Vietnam Vet and my husband a son of a Desert Storm Vet. I really wanted to love this place as much as my son & daughter-in-law, but our first visit wasn't great. The floor was sticky in front of the registers. They ran out of biscuits at 8:30 am on a Saturday so I didn't get one with my country steak meal - and wasn't told about it until the food was brought to our table. Everything was really kind of bland and the potatoes were very greasy and mushy. It wasn't horrible... just blah. (Seasoning needed!) We'll try them one more time.

First off I'd give this place about a 3.5. Was a little odd walking in, and no one was around and it was empty. Realizing we needed to order at the counter we waited 5 mins just standing there. We had a nice lady take our order, definitely a fair price which I liked. Simple menu, places always screw up when they have too many things on the menu and do not execute it well. We got the biscuits and gravy along with the burger. Wait time to get the food was quite short, which is a plus. The iced tea tasted a bit old, and the syrup for the soda machine also tasted a bit off. The guy who brought out our food was alright, didn't say much. Seemed like the head chef (unsure or not) was a great guy, very nice to us and the other customers. Burger, was cooked decently, well done and kinda juicy. I did enjoy the different choices of cheese for it. The outside of the actual burger was a tad dry. I'd say it was a bit above average for a burger. Simple and to the point, just wish there was a bit more flavor. The fries... The fries were only cooked once. One of my biggest issues with the more "fresh" fries is that people don't cook them correctly. If anything, they came out in a precooked state. Best way... precook, let them sit a few mins, then cook again for a nice crunchy exterior with a soft middle. The worst place that does this is Wingstop. It's not like it's a nostalgia thing to have soggy undercooked fries. It's just gross. Biscuits and gravy were alright, came out cold and the eggs were not cooked consistently. One was overcooked. Flavor was alright, more on the bland side. Maybe work on the timing of the items. Assume gravy is already made, along with biscuits. Heated those up, plated those first then the eggs and potatoes last. If anything, plate items already prepared last. I'd like to go again and see what other items taste like, as the price is great, and distance from my home is fairly short. It was not busy, so I expected a slightly better experience food wise. It's by no means a bad place to eat, and I think it's worth going to if you haven't.

Went to try the 6th guy burger as I heard was the best green chile cheese burger on this side of town. Three of us had the same thing, the burgers were big, I'd say 1/3rd or larger, and pretty tasty. They were a bit on the greasy side so pretty juicy. You can pick two toppings included. Had with fries which they give a large portion of fries. Extra toppings and drinks were extra. Overall good service.

For some reason, I've had it in my head that this diner was more steak-house like. After my initial double-take over the super-informal decor, I moneyed up to the counter and put in an order. Raz and I were doing lunch on Independence Day before my usual swing-shift. Raz and I are both in professions that can't stop for holidays, so we are super grateful when we find restaurants that can accommodate our unforgiving schedules. That we were having good local comfort food surrounded by an amazing gallery of our local veterans and memorabilia of their service on Independence Day felt really fitting. Now about that food. For some reason, don't ask me why, Raz had never managed to try Philly Chesesteak before. Since many posts raved about it, we went for it. Turns out he doesn't actually like cheesesteak. I'm not complaining, though, because that meant the entire toasted hoagie with its mound of mildly spicy, cheesy, steaky goodness was mine. As cheesesteaks go, it was well executed, and that toasted hoagie stood up well hours later when I finally got to finish it between crisis calls at work. The Ironwood spuds we also tried didn't survive long enough to be dinner leftovers. We split the potatoes, cheese, chile, and things, that I initially ordered, and you could practically see yourself in the plate underneath since we polished off the food so thoroughly. It's nice to know we have a local diner, and since this place is a 5 minute drive, we're guaranteed to be back in from time to time.

5 STARS Ironwood Kitchen and manager Josh have the best Philly Cheesesteak I think I've ever had. Let's start with the Roll. It was fresh with the right amount of chew. The roll held up to the juices from the meat and the cheese and did not get soggy. The large portion of Meat was seasoned perfectly and very tender. Their special cheese blend was just right, adding the right amount of flavor to the Meat bringing together all the flavors to create a perfect Philly Cheesesteak. I had fries and a drink to complete the meal. If Cheesesteak is your thing, this is the place to get it.

We always feel very comfortable at Iron wood. The food rarely disappoints. My favorite is the Tiegler. ABQ's westside and Rio Rancho have too many restaurant chains, which Ironwood is not. Therefore I find this eatery refreshing. Try it, I think you'll like it too.

I ordered the enchiladas with beans and potatoes but added two eggs and added two tortillas. Side saddle of huevos rancheros and 3chz ench. Excellent move on my part. Red sauce was excellent the ladas cooked perfectly and eggs and all that wrapped in the homemade tortillas. PLATINUM.
