I came in for a skillet and was surely tempted by the early bird burrito special, but I ended up getting the biscuit and gravy and I couldn't be happier. The biscuit and gravy was fairly standard with the plate brimming with gravy, but what really set it apart was the homemade sausage patty that made it look like a full-sized hamburger was missing its meat. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the meal was very filling for a good price. The service was fast and friendly and I hope to be back soon to try the rest of the breakfast menu.

Pleasant atmosphere and extremely nice servers and workers. But personally, just didn’t have much flavor in the food I ordered. The beef and chicken tacos didn’t have any wow factor and the rice was a bit undercooked/no flavor. I will say my friend that brought me there loves the place and goes there often to get breakfast/brunch items. I may have made the wrong choice choosing a lunch item. He really enjoyed and devoured his breakfast - carnitas skillet with the yummy red Chile sauce. I’d order that if I went back.

Tried this place for the first time and we really enjoyed our breakfast! The cinnamon roll was to die for. Loved the atmosphere, the oldies on the radio, decor, everything. Can't wait to come back.

So my wife and I were trying to decide on what to eat. So I googled and found this spot. By looking at the menu pics online, it looked good and it was. I had the Navajo taco breakfast and as you can see from my pics I finished the whole thing. My wife had the Smothered papitas skillet with adobada meat and that was good also. When it comes to the word Cafe that's exactly what this is with great customer service. Great Cafe food for a great price. Thanks guys will be back to try dinner.

This place was one that I didn't get to the whole time it has been open. I regret not stopping by before. The specials are good deals so look for them. I wanted eggs and potatoes and pancakes. I got the whole hog omelette, which has 3 eggs, ham, bacon, bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms. 8 also got the papas instead of hash browns. I wanted to try the chili to see what it was like. I'm glad I did it has great flavor and the heat was not too hot so it was like most people could deal with . It also came with 2 very thick and heavy pancakes. That is all you'll need but you will probably ask for extra syrup so get some.b Wow it was awesome. The waitress was not so focused, but the food made me overlook her inattention. The price are about right except the drinks watch the prices milk is 2 bucks and a coke is $3.95. What that's crazy. I will be coming back very soon the food will make you come back. Enjoy!

Because its off of Gibson I thought it was going to be a dingy place but when we walked in it was like a mini crackle barrel. Very welcoming but a small charming cozy place. The prices aren't that bad and our total was only 40 bucks which paid for a waffle combo with hash browns, eggs, sausage and two stacks of pancakes. Plus my boyfriends food which was a carnita combo with eggs, potatoes and peppers. We both got drinks as well and fast service! We have a 3 month old too and she did pretty well. Everyone kept telling us how cute she is! Definitely would go again and recommend anymore here. Warning though; It is a quiet place and quiet people should go. A lot of old folks were there and small families.

We always find our way to this place for breakfast. The service is always welcoming and great. The waitresses are super friendly and always there when you need them. The food is made to order and comes out fresh and hot. It's best to get there early, as it gets packed in with the locals.

I always recommend Copper Canyon to Veterans and their families that are visiting from out of town. There is a discount for Vets.Even without a discount, the prices are affordable, and their food is always so good. The portions are large, but so satisfying that you don't want to stop eating until you feel like you're going to burst. The wait staff is so friendly and attentive. The coffee is good and so are the hash browns and papas.

I have lived by this place all my life and didn't know how good it was. Their prices are incredibly reasonable and the quality of the food is solid. Your classic New Mexico flavors. If you can make the early bird specials, breakfast there is almost a steal. I got the chilly relleno plate and was satisfied.

We went during the Balloon Fiesta on a Sunday with a group of 6. When we arrived there was a line out the door and they still got us a table in 20min. The food came out quickly and was delicious. The servers and bussers were working quickly and as a team. I was so impressed they handled this volume when there were "now hiring" signs out front. We had a great experience and left happy with full bellies.

The food here is good and there are several options to choose from. The waitresses are awesome. I went to use the restroom after eating my lunch though and almost threw up my lunch. The bathroom had this awful overpowering sewer smell. It is hard to believe they have not taken care of this problem. It was completely overwhelming.

Copper Canyon Cafe should not be overlooked! This place is the best of the best! Enjoy their corn beef hash and eggs, comes with hash brown or pepitas and either pancakes or toast! We tried a side of homemade broccoli cheese soup which was excellent. The staff is most excellent and friendly! The cooks we haven’t seen but they are the best too! Ask for a side of red or green chili is so good, not canned! The prices are very reasonable and you will not leave hungry! I used to go to Wecks but now we can’t stop going to Copper Canyon Cafe!

Very tasty food! Had the Santa Fe skillet, coffee, and water. Everything was great though my water did run dry for a while. I do tend to go through water pretty fast though. Overall great food, great atmosphere, and good service. Do recommend!

I was with a group of 20+ people who regularly eat at Copper Canyon Cafe about once a month. The service was a problem. It's possible that the restaurant was understaffed. The restaurant was packed but we were in a separate room. It took over a half hour to get our orders taken. After that, our food arrived relatively quickly, within 10-15 minutes. After we had eaten, there was another 30 minute wait for our individual checks. I ordered Carnitas Tacos with crisped corn tortillas, and they were great! The three tacos were filled with shredded carnitas, and chopped lettuce, tomato, onion, and jalapeño. I had opted out of the beans and the sriracha sauce that was offered, but I heard from one of the other guests that the frijoles were excellent. I hope that the slow service was an anomaly, because I'm likely going back to that gathering in a month or so, again at Copper Canyon!

I was told the red Chile was fantastic there but it came like a gel and was not very tasty. I ordered the mega burrito and it was 90% hash brown shameless filler. That bugs me so much. The rest of the food was good.

It's been years since me and my husband have been here and it's still good. Back then, ( about 5 years ago) it was 5 stars now the service has gone down but the food is still good. Good prices and pretty good service. We ordered a skillet and a tuna melt with the cream of broccoli soup. The soup was very peppery and the skillet was a bit salty, but we don't use salt so it could be just that. Restrooms are aged but clean. In all, not as great as a few years ago but still a good place to go.

I have been going to the copper canyon Cafe for many years and I just love it there!!! They have the best food excellent service and I love the atmosphere as well!!! They used to offer a military discount but not at this time but that's okay I have always loved the copper canyon Cafe!!! They have a large variety of food on their menu I highly recommend it!!!

Great food! The service has been great. The Place get busy on Sundays, but the staff gets people seated quickly. All the staff I have encountered have been great. The back area and restrooms need some TLC. I will see you all Sunday!

The staff is delightful and freindly and the food is great. A small cozy restaurant that will not disappoint. I go there for breakfast every time I'm in Albuquerque. They are also very flexible and will adjust the menu for you. Check them out!

Nice friendly locally owned family restaurant. I eat here often usually for breakfast. The thick cut bacon is usually cooked how you request it as well as the eggs. The staff is friendly and attentive. I have had occasions when they have ran out of items such as sour dough and today they did not have any chickenfried steak. They serve Pepsi products, which is becoming a rarity. They open at 7 but I do wish they opened earlier at least for carryout. Well on second thought maybe it's a good thing they don't since I would be tempted to eat there more often. The salads served with the meals are fresh. Have never had a problem finding parking. The coffee is decent as well. The have an area that you could use for a group meeting. The price isn't bad. Not sure if they offer a military discount or not.

Finally tried eating here. I'd been meaning to for a while. They were pretty busy, but I didn't have to wait too long to be seated and once I was the service was very good. Got the chicken fried steak for lunch. With the creamy broccoli soup instead of a salad. The soup was really good, the chicken fried steak was fantastic, and the mashed potatoes were pretty good as well. Lots of gravy on everything. Good quality meat. I've had some stringy chicken fried steak before but theirs was perfect. Very hot and filling (more that I could eat to be honest). Especially for the price. I highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

This is my second visit and I actually got food this time. First visit had me waiting 20 minutes and no waitress. Second visit I got basic enchiladas, so improvement is happening. The wait staff is new.

Love it! I can get a salad made to meet my special needs. It's a locally owned restuarant. The owners, Pete & Michelle are actively involved & friendly which is very nice. The staff is solid and very friendly. We always go for breakfast or lunch and our favorite waitress is Melissa! Heads up, the chili is always HOT, so be ready for it. We have a friend who eats here daily.

Pretty much anything you order on their menu you will enjoy. My favorite is their corned beef hash or there French toast with all the goodies on top. Also the servers are very friendly and accurate. This is my daughter's favorite place and I couldn't be happier.

Just tried out the breakfast burrito. I am usually not up early enough to catch the special before 8:30. My husband had been telling me it was 4 bucks before then. And they actually got it right! Now I know it seems trivial.. But for some reason many places out here don't give the right ratio of ingredients (not enough cheese or hash browns) or they mess the bacon up (it's burnt or tastes old and reheated) OR it weighs 6 oz and they wanna overcharge. But this place I assure you made everything perfect! A good sized burrito. I could tell when I grabbed the bag by the weight of it! Seemed like there might of been two in it. But low and behold the green chili on the side was a considerable amount. AND, it tasted amazing! So if you are a greenchili lover, no need to ask for extras they already accommodate. I was very pleased with the taste the amount of food that was given and the price. As someone who is Californian and had access to at least 50 different places all with great breakfast burritos, I can definitely assure you that Copper Canyon Cafe has the best breakfast burritos in Albuquerque!

I’ve liked the food every time I’ve been here. The coffee is great as well! Too often I find watered down coffee at other restaurants. I look for restaurants that have authentic Mexican flavors. Loved the papitas skillet with eggs and carne adobada smothered with green chile.

The Huevos Rancheros where decent the coffee seemed watered down, coffee refills only happened on request and that wasn't just me. The music speakers where scratchy and while the music was a good selection of oldies it would have been better to leave them off. However the sole waitress was a soft spoken sweetheart tending to 6 tables and I am giving an extra star for her disposition.

Food is OK, but on the institutional side. We went for breakfast. Potatoes and hashbrowns are frozen and reheated, food was cold when it got to our table, our waitress was very slow. They forgot the toast with the eggs and it took quite a while to get to us after the food. Food is also oversalted, in my opinion. Not the first time we've been there, but was highly disappointed.

I was driving around looking for a place to eat other than fast food. My Mom noticed Copper Canyon restaurant and we decided to eat there. We had never eaten there so we asked the waitress for help. She was very polite and told us which meals were peoples favorites. We both ordered the Chicken Fried Steak plate. The food was absolutely delicious. It's a big meal we had to take some home. It's a nice and comfortable place to eat, it was clean and the waitresses were busy but smiling. Walk in the door and you can feel its going to be a nice place to eat. We'll be back there soon. I hope you give it a try it's well worth your money and time.

More like 3.5 stars. Good, but not great. I have liked almost everything on their menu, but haven't loved anything. Except the beer battered fries, onion rings, and mushrooms, which are exceptional. Their burgers are good, and New Mexican cuisine is alright. I would definitely recommend giving it a try for the aforementioned appetizers. They're worth the trip, and I'll be back for them.

We asked for coffee and got it in dirty mugs. We let the waitress know and she proceeded to grab the mugs and spill coffee all over the table and my friends purse. She didn't clean it up. We did. The Belgium waffle my friend ordered was doughy in the middle. My meal was good. Not sure if I will go back.

I should really have reviewed this place earlier, but here goes. Our little group began coming here for breakfast/coffee/pie about 2 years ago after church. Now it's become one of a very few of my go-to places for a meal any time of day. Good burgers and sandwiches as well as authentic New Mexican dishes. The thing to do though, is first check out the chalk board specials in the entry way. I just got back from doing that again today. I had the Indian Fry Bread taco and it was great. Huge. And great service, too. The guy was attentive and nice.

I had the Wednesday Special, the open faced hamburger with fries all layered with cheddar cheese and green chili (my choice). We were in the area on a job & OMG, the burgers edges and the fries were just that percent crispiness that makes your mouth water. I as well ate it all. I could not leave any behind!

My family and I have been coming to Copper Canyon for many years. I have since moved out of town, but every time I come back to visit this is always my first stop!! Melissa is the friendliest and best waitress I have ever had. She never forgets a regular’s order and makes everyone feel like family. The food is also unbelievable and super affordably priced. I wasnt here long, but man, I ate so good! I reccomend this place for anyone who is around this part of town and is looking for a big breakfast. I had one of the skillets, which included papas, eggs, choice of meat, hash browns, and your choice of chile. I almost finished it, but be prepared to take leftovers. Bring your family it is a warm, welcoming place, with excellent service.

Solid breakfast & lunch spot! Usually great service and food never disappoints! Manager actually helps the staff, which shows to me it's a good place to spend money on food. Their green chili philly is a definite try, but make sure to add the sweet potato fries and honey mustard.

I love this restaurant! We are able to take my disabled sister here in her wheelchair with no problems at all. Everything is accessible including the bathrooms. They have excellent food and wonderful friendly staff. Their menu is huge with lots of choices for everyone-- I like their pancakes and I also like their huevos rancheros. This is a very family friendly restaurant. I highly recommend!

Ive been there many many times over the years. While some of the older staff are great some are terrible. The food is inconsistent old potatos are common the red and green are bland. Prices have gone up putting them in competition with places that are all around better. I give an extra star for the price of the kids breakfast and the rye toast.

We were so lucky to have found the Copper Canyon Cafe. After going to Denny's after 10 am, we were told they were only able to serve eggs for breakfast. Then, we went to IHOP, where they had a long line waiting & weren't taking names. We saw the big Copper Canyon Cafe sign & don't regret stopping. The breakfasts were plentiful & delicious. Our waitress, Michelle, was so helpful. As they closed at 3 pm on Tuesdays, she gave us recommendations for dinner tonight. We will definitely stop again the next time we come back to Albuquerque.
