Review Update: After posting this review they reached out right away to try to correct the issue. They offered a one time discount (1 month free) and would be speaking with their driver. 2 weeks later we had the same issue but after that we’ve had great service!! No more blocked driveway or dumped bins, Yay! HOWEVER my concern over the increased costs was never addressed and for that reason I am giving 4 stars. Original post: We moved to the area in 2018 and have been with Walter’s since then. At the beginning their service was great but not so much anymore… our prices have doubled and I don’t know what is going on with our recycling pick up!?? At first it was dropping it down wherever they felt like, then it was literally in the middle of our driveway over and over but now just yesterday they didn’t even get it emptied, dropped it to the ground and spilled recycling all over the lawn!! I drove down our road and everyone’s recycling bins were a mess! Please please please do something about your recycling driver, this has been going on for awhile and only getting worse.

I switched to Walters a couple months ago since they offered a good price and I wanted to support a local company. My service was reliable until this week when they missed my pickup. I left a message Monday night but never heard back, so I had to call again on Tuesday afternoon. They offered to come back Wednesday, which I appreciate. I never had this type of issue with my previous company so hopefully this doesn’t become a common problem.

I have been using this company for about a year now.I'm supposed to be locked in a two-year rate. Yet this rate continues to increase With every bill . Just as soon as my two year Obligation is fulfilled I'll be looking for services elsewhere.. And don't get me started on my bin almost always being partially emptyed and sacks of trash being left on the curbside that were clearly in the bin before pick up.

It's sad that Walter's is one of the last local garbage haulers. They have been great. I switched to them when our previous local hauler got bought out by a large corporation that then doubled our rate. Walter's keeps prices low and they do not cut corners. They are everything that a big corporation can never be.

I watched today as my trash was being picked up as a bunch of paper fell out to the ground. I have watched other companies simply drive off. I watched from my cameras heading to the door to pick this up when he left. Many are waiting to comment well that's their job to stop and get it. Understood this driver did just that got out grabbed the paper that was most likely from me overstuffing the can.The fact is he took the time I have been in transportation operations for 25 years and quality is hard to find. There are many choices and are they the cheapest I hope not. I'm not looking for the cheapest company I wanted the reliable, professional company and I thank you from the top down for providing this.

We switched to Walters this summer and have been very pleased with the service. The quarterly billed fee is very reasonable (they charged us exactly the amount quoted), the container was delivered as promised, and weekly trash pickup has been like clockwork. We highly recommend Walters for your trash hauler!

I just called to pay my bill and the phone was answered immediately by a human. It was so nice NOT to wait on hold or listen to an automated message on repeat. Employee L was very helpful, cheery, and answered all of my questions. We had a pleasant conversation. I was grateful it was this simple! We’re newer customers, chose the company because they are locally owned, and gave us a month off of services when we paid the whole year, and have only had good service so far.

I do not like being vindictive, I just like putting the truth out there. The truth is that every single time I’ve contacted Walters and spoken to Andrew, he has been beyond respectful and helpful and apologetic. I wish all of the employees and drivers acted as he did. But of course we know that’s not ever going to be the case. And that is life. So thanks Andrew again for attempting to resolve the situation, I have learned I cannot hold you accountable for the mistakes and shortcomings of your employees. So thank you and I appreciate your concern.

I've always had good service from Walters, their schedule is consistent. This morning I was out on a walk with my dog, he had done his business, I bagged it and was then walking with the bag. A Walter's truck made a special stop beside me and asked if I wanted to toss it in. Wow, that made my day to receive the act of kindness. Thank you

I'm surprised by all the negative reviews. We've been Walters customers for over 5 years and we've always had excellent service from them. Every time I need to call, customer service is always very helpful, plus their drivers are really friendly. A few times, I've forgotten to bring my bins to the end of the driveway, and the driver runs up and gets them by the garage, which I so appreciated!

I have been with Walter's for just over a year now and I have been 100% completely satisfied with their services. Paying my bill is easy and the customer service is always very friendly. The only down sides is that they do not provide service everyday (I forget to bring my garbage down on occasion so wouldn't that be great?!?) and the bill can be somewhat confusing to read. I can't say enough about the great service we have been getting from Walters for over 10 years in Brooklyn Park. From the drivers to the customer service professionals they are great to deal with. Today I called after the yard waste had not been picked up to see what the problem was. I had forgotten to pay for this added service and the truck had gone through over an hour ago. I paid over the phone and they contacted the driver to do a "courtesy pickup" for us. (we had a lot to pick up and I was dreading having to deal with it) They were back within 20 minutes to collect it! Thank you Walter's for your professional, consistent, fair priced service! You have a customer for life. : )

Called them to start service after previous one became unreliable. Walter's sent me a can the next day. Picked up right away the day after that. No deposit for the can and 15$ a month cheaper than previous trash hauler. I live in Roseville area and would recommend them to anyone!

Two things made me give them a 5 star review. #1 - I needed a dumpster. They have easy to follow charts online and I called and scheduled it that instant. They showed up on the scheduled day and removed on the scheduled day, 0 issues, and a fair price. Could not have been easier. #2 - around Christmas and New Years, the waste removal timelines got all mixed up due to the holidays and weekends. I am one of the only people with Walters on my block and EVERYONE else had to wait multiple weeks for their garbage to be picked up. I'm talking until well after New Years. Their cans sat out there overflowing for days and days. Mine were picked up the expected day-after-normal both holiday weeks. I knew then I had made the right decision

Originally I ordered trash service when the previous resident was moving. They said they would leave the old ones and swap them out on my first week of service. Due to a communication issue they took all the cans. Amazingly on a FRIDAY they arranged to have new cans dropped off to get me through the weekend, and then give me brand new ones on Monday (My trash service isn't until THURSDAY). The customer service provided was very personal and I really got the impression that mistakes like this are not common at Walters and was taken very seriously. I'm a busy professional that has little time to deal with issues like trash service. I have had so many issues with vendors of various services in the past that don't care about the individual customer, so I typically don't do business with them. I can say now, with no reservation, I recommend Walters. If you live in their service area I strongly suggest you use them. You'll save time, money, and if you do have to call them you're going to get fast results and solutions, not apologies and excuses.

Great service, great company, great people! They have a truck that goes around cleaning your carts and I didn't have mine out when it came by so I ran down the street and asked the driver if he could still do mine and he backed up to do it. I would highly suggest switching to Walter's if you haven't already.

I would recommend Walter's recycling and garbage company to anyone looking to change. They have always been accomodating and friendly when I've called. They will give you one complimentary garbage pickup a year if you forget to put it out. I have used that service once each year for the last two years. I have been with them since the beginning of their business in our area.

Walters is a very good refuse Company We have had them for 23 years. when ever there was an issue, it was addressed immediately. The issues are usually minor problems. The office staff are very friendly and handle things right away to our satifaction. I highly reccomend them.

The customer service lady was so helpful when I had questions about my new recycling bin... She had such a respectful attitude. I'm so glad Blaine switched over. I would also like to add... Although Walters dropped off their recycle bins before the first of the year, they did not start picking up until after January 1st. Therefore if your recycle was dumped all over the place, it was the other company that did it.

Thank You for the Great Service Walter's!!!! Have had nothing but great service from Walter's! Our prior service provider was nowhere near as customer-oriented as Walter's. They have been wonderful. Six weeks ago, my freezer went out and i lost all of my meat for two years. I started to unload and put it in the cans. I am recovering from a broken arm and leg. Thus hadnt been downstairs. When i called to see if they could do an emergency pick up, they sent a truck and two workers to help me finish bring all of the meat up and outside. It was not a pleasant task for them. Very smelly. I really appreciated their kindness and compassion. They will always be five stars.

I have used all the local refuse carriers and I have had everything from billing issues to multiple no pick -up days to crappy attitudes etc but I can honestly say I use Walter’s now, my bill is always correct, my garbage is always picked up but today was the icing on the cake, I think his name was Brad ( I hope I get it right) with the wet weather we had recently, the last leaf battle ended up with a heavy/frozen mess that the grabber couldn’t handle, the bin slipped out into the truck, this employee climbed up into the rig and for the next 20 mins manually cleaned this frozen mess out. Had I not been home to witness it who would have known the extra mile he went. I went out with a pitch fork to help but he did 99% of it, we had a great conversation after. This guy and Walter’s employees rock!

I can never make my payment online w/out having to reset my password. I’ve gotten tired of that process so I just call my payment in now. I do not like auto payments, and prefer to be in control of that for reasons such as; increases that aren’t brought to my attention first. There is one rep that whenever she answers, I dread the moment immediately. She always makes me feel like I’ve put her out. I’ve also been told it is definitely their error (my online account issues) so why I’m made to feel like an inconvenience, is beyond me. Seriously considering other options after uninformed price increase and this unhappy rep that always hangs up without saying goodbye! I know her name, but I’m trying to be respectful :/
