Don LoguePicked up a load of plastic in a 53’ dry van. It’s tight and not much room for a semi. But not really difficult to back in to the dock if you blind side in. Fairly simple to get in and out. You can get turned around and back in the normal way with some wiggling, but much easier to just pull up and blindside into the dock. The people working there are really nice and helpful also.
Carolyn SDropped off recycle and papers to be shredded. The ladies working in that area were helpful. Grateful to have this service.
Katherine MasonSeems to be a well run facility run by the county. Definitely busy this morning. Facility was clean with clear instructions posted. If you don't get your work done on Saturday before 3, you'll have to wait because they are closed on Sunday and Monday.
Brandon LykinsGreat facility! Absolutely love having this facility in Shelby County. The good: cheap alternative to trash service. They accept most anything. Keeps trash off the county roads. Ease of access. Plenty of space. The bad: they need a different or new card reader system very bad. Never a time I go there, someone is having trouble with scanning their card to pay. Need more flexible hours. They close at 3:00 when most people are at work until 5:00. They are open on Saturdays but closed on Mondays. Seems like staff could be spaced out to cover Saturday and Monday. However, I don't know their full operations and how many staff they need to run the operation each day. Overall we love having this place.
Mister MeI have never had an issue. Locations are clearly laid out if you read the signs. Prices are competitive. And dropping off shrubbery/bushes/small branches are free.
Georgann ConwayIt’s great. Pull up and throw stuff in and go out and scan pay and your done. HEY, FOR ME ITS CHEAPER THAN PAYING FOR TRASH SERVICE! I put money on their card and it lasts for almost a year, depending on how much you bring. Mine is just household. Sometimes bigger stuff.
Ethan BradenJust moved from an area in which is very big on recycling, I realized there isn't as many opportunities to easily recycle where I now currently live. That problem was solved with my visit to this center. They have an aluminum, paper, cardboard and plastic section. On top of how organized it is, Mr. Shirley (supervisor) was a very kind man who helped me out. If you need a place to put your waste, this is a great place to do it. You'll see me here quite often! If everyone recycled and did their part, the world would be a cleaner place.
Edward McSwainJust pay attention to their holiday hours and closed days, they close extra days before and after a holiday, so if the holiday was on a thursday they will close probably that friday also, and if holiday was a monday, they will be closed tuesday etc. otherwise wonderful facility, I left bad reviews because I had trailer packed to drop off and they were closed a day after a holiday and I got so mad , now calmed down I really do like the place, helpful people, clean, very nice when open.
greg waltonThe people there are great. The place is very clean and so easy to use. Just break down your boxes and separate your items before you pull in.
