They have always pick my trash up. Every time I see them they always wave and say good morning. They always put my can neatly in place not like others who will leave it in the street or thrower side ways in the yard! I have one who sees me and waves and places my can back up in front of the garage, now that’s great service!!

Rumpke’s workers responded to my husbands call for help when he fell in the driveway. They helped him up and into the garage. They do a good job for the most part. The only thing they could improve upon is when trash falls out on the road they don't pick it up. So often there is trash left if front of houses or in the middle of the road.

They are very good about picking up mattresses if you give notice as per their request and wrap your mattresses in plastic. The only thing is sometimes they kinda messy get trash everywhere while picking up and dont pick it up, and they drive to fast in the subdivision.

Rumpke is affordable, professional, timely, and dependable. We hardly ever have delayed pick up because of holidays. We were missed a couple of times at the start of our service, which is understandable I think, and they came the next day or 2 after to pick up our trash, even though it was on a Saturday. While we have had trouble getting services performed from time to time, I know and have seen everyone one on staff (from office staff to drivers) pitch in to help make my experience one of appreciation for the hard work. I thought I had missed my service this morning, and wasn't able to get my cans out in time, so the drivers got out of the truck to get the cans for me and return to their normal space. Every time I have had an issue, they are quick to pick up the phone, or return the call, and go out of their way to help. Thank you!!!

The drivers are wonderful always placing my bins a way from the street so they do not get hit my cars. They are courteous, very professional and do an excellent job. In early spring I have a lot of yard waste due to cutting down ornamental grasses and they always place 6 30 gallon cans back on my drive the way I had them line up, I also have a good amount of recycling and again the bin is always placed in a good spot when emptied. In my area, our choice for regular weekly trash services is very limited. Rumpke is usually on time and customer service is easy to work with. The only issue I have is I feel the price is too high for us to have to have a mandatory service. We either ARE FORCED to use Rumpke or another provider and for being told what we HAVE TO DO, the price is a little much, especially for those of us who live on a fixed income. Having said that, it is in line with other providers but then I think they are all over charging for a MANDATORY SERVICE.

Always on time. They send communications on holiday pickups, that way we don’t forget to put our trash out. Friendly drivers that are very courteous to other vehicles on the road. We used to use WM and it was so undependable that our refuse can would set sometimes for a week. WM drivers would block our driveway and make us wait for them to move! Rumpke has always been great for us! They never leave our trash cans in the road, always put them right back where we got them. They are also good about taking extra items as long as you let them know ahead of time. Customer service is easy to reach too!

I initially wasn't happy that Rumpke pick-up personnel didn't initially pick up my extra-ordinary trash after my spring cleaning . I called customer service and was greeted very nicely and was than explained that one needs to schedule pick up of other than the usual refuse. I wasn't aware of that. One good thing the pick up guys did do was to send a photo of what I had to pick up, so customer service could comment back to me, however if the guys could leave a pre-written generic note in such a case it would be better service and avoid any momentary unhappiness. t know didn't know that a special request needs to be made for out of the ordinary picks; I do now. There was only one lady was getting upset but I could tell she was trying to hold her tongue, but I thanked her and called back in a couple of days & got another individual & got the information needed. Weekly trash removal. Prompt and does a good job of notifying customers of change in pickup times due to holidays or weather related. During the Pandemic we had more trash than normal and discovered that one of our own bins was not being dumped. After talking with them I found out that we had exceeded the limit allowed. They were very courteous to explain and what the up charge would be for additional service.

I am pleased with my waste pick-up. I wish we had the bigger cans for recycle. I could use weekly recycle pick-up and every other week regular pick-up. Have used rumpke for years and have only had a couple issues. Issues regarding drivers of the garbage trucks. The usual driver is fond of stopping in front of houses to play on his phone, and then forgets to pick up the trash at the house at which he stopped. When contacting Rumpke about it, they are always quick to respond and send someone back out to pick up what the driver forgot.

(Updated since issue) Haven't missed a yard waste since issue .( The issue in the first place ) Yard waste is a joke !! They pick up yard waste one week and the next week they don't show up . Then you call to see why they didn't pick up your yard waste and they can't even give you a answer. This happen every year . This year alone so far it's been three or four times . I pay my bill on time so for this to happen so often is unprofessional. Think it's about time to look for another service. Don't ask me to send you a email so you can look into the issue. You would think if your having the same problem time after time . That you would already address the issue. Poor customer service !! No complaints on the garbage pick up. .... (Update ) .... Rumpke called me after leaving this review. I really appreciate them reaching out and taking the time to give me a call. I'm going to give them a month and see how it goes. This was originally a one-star review I will leave what I originally wrote If you would like to see why I left a one-star review. I am changing this to a four star review because of how the situation was handled once it reached upper management. To make a long story short it took me almost a month to get trash picked up at my house. Every time I would call customer service they would tell me to do something I would do it but the trash would not be picked up. The case was moved to upper management I received a phone call from the district manager from his personal cell phone. He apologized but most importantly he did not make excuses he was straight to the point and took ownership of the problem. He explained that there was a change in the way the customer service office was being ran and wanted to use my case as a training example. He personally brought a second trash can for me asked me to save his number in my phone and told me to call him directly if I have any other troubles. Problems happen everywhere but how this was handled is everything I can ask for in a company. Original one star review Unfortunately where I live they have a contract with the city so I'm stuck using this company and would gladly pay triple to have waste management or another service come to St Matthews. You're only allowed one can. (I asked for a second and you would have thought I ask for access to the Dead Sea Scrolls) Was told when I have more than a can full to Simply call and let the company know I would have extra trash. That extra trash needs to be bagged neatly for them they will not take trash from a store-bought trash can or out of the recycle can provided by them. I followed their orders to a T only to have my house skipped completely. This has now gone on for a month so I have month old trash behind my house that I sit out every Thursday exactly the way I was told to for it to be collected only to have my house skipped.

Rumpke is GREAT!!! We've been their customers about 2 decades now, and these guys haven't missed a beat! I'm guessing people generally only rate waste disposal companies when there's a problem. OUR problem was that WE dropped the ball. It wasn't even their fault, but Rumpke took care of us!! I feel this particular profession and more specifically the trash collectors themselves DO NOT get the recognition they do deserve. Throughout the pandemic chaos MY “guys” were on schedule every single week! These folks are just as important, and in some cases, more important than any other essential workers because they are collecting the most dangerous and contaminated items! They need the BEST PPE possible now more than ever!! I’m disabled and have a broken hip (my surgery was scheduled 2 days after “the world shut down “) so I’m not able to do anything for them or even just wave as they go by. I would like to say how impressed I was with the clean up of a trash mishap in Middletown on March 24th. Apparently the trash caught fire in one of your trucks and he had to dump it in the middle of the road. Luckily he found a safe place to do this. I watched the whole process of putting out the fire and the cleanup. Not one piece of trash was left in sight and someone was even sent out to pressure wash the street. I tryed reply to comments wont let me i see that this company has bad reveiws but people need to understand that the drivers have 4-5 hundred stops a day if someone has loose items on the ground or in your can and the wind blows them around the workers cant run around trying to pick it all up bc if they do then they have to do it for everyone and there route wont get picked up. So p.s BAG YOUR TRASH i used to work for a trash company. They are aloud to get dumpsters anytime of the night n residential starts at 6. As far as missing your stops it happends bc if u 4 get to pay your bill u get cut off and no longer are on route sheet when you finally pay your bill it goes to the front of the sheet and the driver has to remeber its there that day untill the next week when he puts in sequence also while dealing with drivers that go 60 mph passed a garbage truck that people are working around and all the other obsticals for the day if they leave your lid open 90 percent of time is because that tells them they have got that stop just incase the route requires to go down that road agian or another truck comes to help or because people have nasty garbge and dont ever clean there can so the rain helps if u dont want rain in it grab ur can when there done Holidays they are a day behind if not a little more bc people have allllottt more trash. Also a guy cant help if the wind blows ur can over by the time u get home. And if you have a large item call it in or if u have mattress most companys want it rapped whitch is smart my company i worked for didnt require that n people have brough bed bugs home to there familys . Also if you have heavy stuff in a can and 2 lite bags in a toter that makes alot more work 4 them and makes no sense bc they have to lift that can where the toter has a toter lift Rumpke has been great 4 me better that the company i worked for myself.
