Reviews of Louisville Metro Haz Bin Recycling

They’ve got signs that tell you it’s all the way in the back, not hard to find. The house I moved into had a bunch of stuff the previous owner had left behind, this place helped me get rid of most of it. I had lots of paint cans with paint still in them and they took it. Also learned how to dispose of latex paint. All for free.

The two gentlemen there were extremely nice and helpful. I basically had paint to recycle but found out that they recycle several other items there including anti freeze. The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that the facility doesn’t take latex paint but they did tell me how to dispose of it which I really appreciated. I will definitely use them in the future.

Maps may tell you to enter from Outer Loop, don't! You can't get to Haz Bin from the Outer Loop entrance. You need to enter from Grade Lane. From there the signage is clear.

Not open on Saturdays, as the Google site suggests. M-F only, according to the sign on the gate. I did not get a picture of it. Is it possible the sign I read was for some other aspect at the address?

The people were super friendly and took all the paint, lightbulbs, batteries, and chemical items I had. I drove up, they came out of their building and took the stuff out of my trunk (very similar to Goodwill). The only issue I had was with finding the building. There were signs to keep you going there, but their actual driveway is hard to see and their sign was covered with a tree branch.

Always fast service and not hard to find from I-65. It's all the way at end of the road.
Josh Smith
Quick and easy drop off. Mind your google maps if it's your first time going. Navigation leads you to Waste Management about a half mile down for some reason. Turn onto Grade Lane from Outer loop and take the first right.

It’s nice to have a city service like this. I’ve used it for propane tanks, oil paint, and old gasoline. I’ve never had to wait and the employees are always polite and professional.

Should be a no brainer that this place is closed on a holiday. I mean come on. Great place to get rid of antifreeze, fluids, paint, chemicals
