Our Agent MARKUS SMITH was incredible and he helped us find our DREAM HOME. - Markus was extremely communicative. He was very easy to reach day, night, and on weekends. - While we were remote, he performed multiple virtual viewings for up on FaceTime. - With us in person, Markus devoted several entire days showing us multiple properties that fit our needs and our budget. - He fought to get us a good price and he made sure the Seller fixed any issues we found after our Inspection. - Markus was very, polite, patient, and friendly and checks in with us often to make sure we are settled and still happy with our purchase. Does this company have a policy that cuts a buyer agent’s commission if the house was not shown/toured by the agent *in person*? We are currently trying to buy a house but noticed our agent - who is a licensed agent at The ONE Street Company - always talks us down from buying houses that either held a simple open house that we went to, or shown by other agents at this company because our agent was unavailable at the time. How does the agent talk us down, you ask? When we said we were interested in House A that our agent had never been to in person, the agent would say something like “it’s an old house, too much maintenance for you guys”, “the seller agent hasn’t called me back”, “hey how about House B in the area? I can schedule a tour for you guys”, etc. in order to dis-encourage us to proceed. It doesn’t make sense at all because House A has a higher listing price than many of the houses in the area, which means our agent would have gotten a higher commission than House B. It doesn’t make sense at all. Does The ONE Street only give the agent full commission if he/she *actually* tours the house with the buyers? We noticed the pattern on our agent, and we were not happy about it. It’s our right to pick the house we want to buy, not the agent. He/she shouldn’t manipulate the process like this. There was one instance that was very infuriating. We saw a nice house and we wanted to make an offer, so we let our agent at The ONE Street Company know. That agent sounded disappointed, but said would talk to the seller agent to find out about the offer deadline. Our agent then came back and told us later that the deadline was at the “end of the week” but the house actually stopped accepting offers by that Tuesday. We missed the offer deadline without knowing the truth. AT ALL. Later our agent responded to our texts late, only called and said “sorry” after we found out about the deadline and also “do you guys wanna see other houses nearby I can send you a list”. Seriously considering switching to agents from another company that doesn’t have this kind of disrespectful policies to house buyers.

We cannot recommend Max Grangien enough!!! He was kind and available from day one. He was honest about his recommendations for what we should do to our house before putting it on the market, and he handled all of the contractors, which was a huge weight off our shoulders! We had trouble with a buyer who ended up backing out, and he was with us every step of the way with honesty and solid advice. We knew Max was on our side and looking out for our best interests at all times, which when you are dealing with such a huge sale, means the world! Call him - you will not be disappointed!

Samer and Blake were awesome. They did a great job in a tough market. They helped find contractors to get my house ready for sale. There was a lot of work, because we had lived in the house for 15 years (when it was built) and styles had changed. They created an astonishing brochure of my house, they created a wonderful video, and held multiple open houses. They helped me price the house at the market--I started too high. And the buyer paid a fair price for a great house.

We could not have done better than Max. The combination of his knowledge of the market in this area, his resourcefulness, optimism and negotiating skills worked for us. Even though the market had slowed because of rising interest rates, we had a solid offer, over our asking price, within a week of the property being listed. From the very start Lorena was very attentive on the needs I was looking for in a home. She would send me emails daily on new homes that were available and I could easily get in touch with her with any questions I may have had. She was very knowledgeable on what to look for when we viewed houses. She knew various things that I wouldn’t look for while viewing a house such as the age and brand of hot water tanks, air conditioning units, roof condition, etc. She was really good about negotiating a price too. Our agent, Blake, helped us get a really nice house for a good price in Arlington. He is responsive, friendly, and laid-back and it was nice working with him. We could text him about a new listing on Redfin on a Sunday at 8am and we would be visiting that house the same afternoon. He referred us to a good mortgage broker and helped us submit the perfect bid for the place. Two months later, we have no buyers' remorse. The only negative aspect was the contractor to which he referred us. Basically, we wanted to get an estimate for multiple renovations before the deadline to withdraw from the deal to ensure that we could afford the complete package. The guy he brought along, Renzo from SOMAT Remodeling Services LLC, was a total joke though: about on hour before our deadline, he sent us an estimate that was overpriced by a factor of three (e.g. he wanted to charge us $18k for painting, while we ultimately paid $3k; he wanted $17k for refinishing the hardwood floors whereas we paid someone else $3,300; he wanted $10k for a new fence that should cost no more than $4k; etc.). It seems that he was too busy and did not want to take us on as clients (which is totally OK), but never bothered to tell us that (which is not OK). So, with the deadline quickly approaching, we had to make numerous last-minute calls to friends and relatives to inquire about the costs of their recent renovation projects for reference. The entire situation was extremely stressful and unpleasant. Despite this, we recommend working with Blake. Definitely do not take advice on contractors from any realtor ever. That's a golden rule we ignored. But if we ever have to sell or buy real estate again, I would contact One Street once more.

She's intimately familiar with the tri-state area and makes a point to fill any gaps in knowledge when required. Her experience comes through in the grace and ease with which she navigates the market, makes an offer, and walks her clients through the closing process. Most, if not all, of our questions were answered before they were even asked. She helped us navigate through a lot of the jargon that comes with listings in the area we were looking in. She also had recommendations for home inspectors, carpenters, roofers, plumbers....you name it. She scheduled all the appointments for us and was proactive in getting us to closing as quickly as possible. Secondly, she is knowledgeable about the homes themselves. Touring houses with Leslie was a delight! She would point things out that may or may not pass inspection, develop a rapport with tenants at the drop of a hat, and she never once tried any selling tactics. As we were at one point considering buying an as-is home, it was a joy chatting about the possibilities a home may have with Leslie. Another invaluable trait that Leslie has is patience. As my husband has an unusual work schedule, I ended up touring a lot of houses without him. This would then require a "double look" at some homes that stood out to me.
