Stefanie at City Chic is THE reason my roommate and I found our first apartment in Arlington, VA. We were moving from out of town and for months tried to find the right place at the right price in a good location. It was so stressful because a lot of the places we saw online were not what they appeared or by the time someone got back to me, the apartment would be gone or was never available. Once we started working with Stefanie, the whole process became so much easier. Within a few days, she had set up virtual tours of our top choices. She personally visited the apartments and face timed us from each one. She walked us through the application process and worked with the rental agent to get us approved for our top pick. She stayed in contact and answered questions up until and after we moved in. Stefanie is detail oriented, professional, and quick to respond. If you're moving to the DC/VA area don't waste your time looking for an apartment on your own. The fee we paid was 100% worth it to have someone help us. Moving is stressful enough. Call Stefanie!

We initially found CityChic through online research for real estate firms who knew our neighborhood. CityChic topped those lists, so we reached out. Even on our first call, we got a great vibe from Keisha--who helped us understand the unique position the market was in as we navigated a simultaneous buy and sell. The proposed fee felt very reasonable, and so our journey began. The decision to move came at a very difficult time for us. The mortgage rate market and limited inventory launched us into a rabidly-competitive market for buyers, and we quickly discovered the need to be agile, fast, and navigate contingencies. We also had zero time in our personal lives due to work and family obligations. Nevertheless, Keisha was a superstar throughout this. She got to know our situation, our idiosyncrasies, and our family. She worked long hours, late and into the weekends, helping us pivot into the kind of buyers we needed to be to compete. We visited dozens of places and put in many offers before finally settling on our new home, which we both love. Keisha and Brittnee helped us beat the rest of the market to get what we know was a really good deal. After the buy, we still had to sell our prior home. I just bought my first home with Liz Kaiser at City Chic and could not imagine a better experience! As new residents to the DC area, it was very important to us to find an agent with in-depth knowledge the city and surrounding cities. Liz was able to steer us towards neighborhoods best suited for our wants "walkable, good commuting to our jobs, lots of character." She also helped us narrow down what we were comfortable with in regards to renovations. Due to her experience of buying, renovating and selling herself she offered firsthand expected costs in every step of the renovation process. Rhiannon Swanson of City Chic helped us sell our condo in Columbia Heights. She was absolutely fantastic! We were selling the apartment remotely - from California - during a pandemic. No easy feat. We had been renting the apartment for the last five years, so while it was in good condition - it required new paint and some updating (new hardware, new mirror and vanity in the bathroom, etc). She handled everything. Rhiannon has a superb eye. She made sure the apartment looked beautiful. She is also extremely efficient and detail oriented - a killer combination in a real estate agent. Rhiannon found a great company to stage the condo. She also handles emergencies and unexpected issues with elan. While our apartment was under contract, the condo building had a major roof leak (they were replacing the roof and there was a downpour). She handled the aftermath with grace, ensuring that the building completed all repairs in a timely fashion. We were able to close on time. I cannot recommend Rhiannon highly enough. She is extremely hard working, competent, and an exceptional guide through the selling process.

I met Liz Kaiser three years ago when I moved to Washington DC. I was in search for an apartment and was uncertain on whether to rent or purchase. With barely knowing anyone or anything about real estate in DC, I did a google search and found Liz’s contact information on City Chic Real Estate’s website. I never felt any pressure to settle for a place and she reassured me I was in the driver seat. I strongly believed she was my advocate in dealing with the seller’s agent as well as providing me with sufficient information to make an informative decision. In addition, she saved me money in closing based on some tips. Buying a home can be a difficult process but Liz made it very seamless to me. She went above and beyond and I’m confident she would do the same for anyone else looking to buy a home. Hands down, she is the best real estate agent in DC!!!!

Imagine: It’s Wednesday afternoon and you’ve found the perfect home. It’s the type of home you never thought would be in your budget. It checks all your boxes. You excitedly e-mail your realtor. You offer to rearrange your entire schedule to be able to see this home and make an aggressive offer. And then... nothing. For five days. Suddenly it’s Monday and you get a response to your third follow-up e-mail offering a tour that Wednesday during a one hour window. Two hours later the home’s status is changed to pending on MLS. This is the experience that made me realize who my realtor was would make all the difference in home buying. Through some online searching and attending open houses, my wife connected with several agents, including Julie Lubin of City Chic, and hit it off with her on a personal level right away. I would have to say that Joe was awesome! I have used this firm twice now to locate housing in the DC area. Both times were excellent and both from afar (out of state). I am doing a review for Joe though today because he went above and beyond by even going with me to a house not on his MLS list but it had been on mine. Joe was super helpful, and very timely with his replies to all my questions, he knew the neighborhoods and had great advice about where to live based on my needs. I saw some really good options. He was flexible as my views changed after seeing various houses. Increasingly, it is difficult to find one that brings real and tangible value to a transaction. Liz is the kind of the agent you thought you could only dream of or see in movies. She is a hired gun in the best sense of the term and yet is extremely patient and thoughtful when it comes to her clients wants and needs. I definitely plan on asking her to help on any transaction I do in the future.

She is down to earth and a breath of fresh area, which is sometimes very difficult to find especially in a new area. Where can I even start? I met my realtor Robert Fritzman via email about 8 months before I finally bought my condo. I was then living in California and planning to move to DC. Before we began the day, she gave us a clipboard with information on all of the apartments that we were considering. She had really done a lot of advance research for us, which proved to be extremely valuable as the day went on. We limited our search to large apartment complexes, and D’Ann had enough experience to not only know anecdotal information about each building, but to also point out some of the strengths and weaknesses of each building as compared to the nearby competition. She also asked the leasing agents some insightful questions. For instance, we were thinking of pushing back the start date for our move-in by a week or two. D’Ann had gone through those types of discussions before, and spoke with the leasing agent at a few properties to help us calculate whether it would be financially advantageous to push the start date back. Ultimately, my girlfriend and I settled on one of the buildings that D’Ann had highlighted for us early in the process. In large part because of D’Ann’s help, we were able to make the decision pretty quickly—over lunch following a full morning of tours with D’Ann. The whole process was painless and efficient. I would definitely recommend D’Ann to anyone looking for help with apartments in the DC area.
